An outstanding place, the food , the atmosphere and specially the staff. They were cheerful, helpful but not at all pushy. Would and have recommended this place to other people. A real hidden gem!
Elia has the best tasting Greek foods, something amazingly different from our area. The staff were super friendly, even the chef came out to suggest what’s best for our guests, we were satisfied.
Fabulous service always and wow the food the taramasalata, the halloumi the aubergine dips the tomato keftedes. The breads, salads all of it delicious. The gemista the mousaka all so tasty: Great selection of geek wines and yummy loukmades for desert too. Has to be my favourite restaurant in Dubai
One of my favourite restaurants. Every dish is delicious and well presented. The staff are so attentive and knowledgable about the food. The decor is low key with white wooden chairs but pristine white tablecloths; you really could be in Greece.
Beautiful food, friendly and efficient staff and a lovely atmosphere - everything perfect as always. My favourite restaurant in Dubai, and my favourite Greek restaurant anywhere!
Exceptional! The food was above expectations, the service fantastic. As for Marianna and the chefs, they are super friendly and eager to start a conversation to make you feel at home. A must try are the tirokafteri, the ntomatokeftedes and the dakos. See you very soon :)
Wonderful ambiance, outstanding service by our Ethiopian waiter and not to forget the mouth-watering food that simply tastes delicious. Loved the Greek Rose Wine and the grilled Octopus as a starter. Sea Bass Risotto as a main was a great follow up. Try the Greek coffee which is gentle and mild in taste. This place truly deserves an award! Definitely gonna come back! Thank you for a lovely evening!
The best authentic Greek food you will have in Dubai, beautiful presentation and mesmerizing taste..wanna change your taste buds to Greek try Elia..!!!

Beautiful restaurant food and staff that perfect atmosphere it's where my fiancé proposed
Tasty food, good wine, friendly service. It was a perfect dinner.
Consistently great food and well trained staff! Our favorite!
The food is beautifully presented. The quality of the ingredients is very good and the staff are very very welcoming and courteous. Eating here was a sweet and pleasant experience.
Just spent the evening at Elia and absolutely loved it. The food IS (I don't want to say WAS) superbe and great wine too. I recommend 100% and had a great time there with my friends. Thank you for a memorable evening (the grilled octopus as my main was outstanding).

Great ambience , delicious food and amazing hospitality. Perfect place and would definitely dine at elia again
Good value for money. Tasty Greek pasta (orzo) with seafood. Yummy mastikha
Amazing ambience, feels like you are actually in Greece!
Food is brilliant, authentic and delicious!
The wine and ouzo too!
Faye (one of the staff) was incredibly accommodating and helpful. Nicolas the singer added a gorgeous vibe to the restaurant with his Greek ballads.
Oh and did I say the food was amazingly delicious ? :)
Defintely recommended for an authentic Greek experience !!!
Great food, great atmosphere! Eric, our waiter, made sure we got enough food. Friendly and also taught us some
Swahili! If it hadn’t been for the golden sand building around us, it was as good as eating in one of the restaurants in santorini or Athens.
I have always read that this place is a hidden gem in Dubai, my sister and I decided to finally try it.
we were more than satisfied. this place is truly a hidden GEM!!.
the atmosphere was absolutely amazing, the settings, the weather and a small band that plays nice soft greek music. you will feel so comfortable that you do not want to leave.
the hosts were super friendly and very efficient. They gave us great tips on few dishes.
now the food! absolutely delicious.
we did not want to eat the regular greek dishes that everyone knows. we wanted to try new items.
we had the prawns in Crobe dough (divine)
Kofte balls is a MUST try - full of flavours, very soft
chestnut and mushroom stew with bulgur - absolutely tantalising.
highly recommended, definitely worth your time.
Most probably the best food and service in Dubai!
The grilled halloumi combined with jam was delicious and the lamb shoulder was superlative.
Well done
We had the moussaka, haroupopita (spinach pie), dolmadakia, and tzatziki. Everything was perfect. Our server (Jenny) recommended the dessert galaktoboureko which was amazing! Would definitely come back, but would order a bottle of wine because the house wine wasn’t so great.
Excellent ambience and very good service - definitely a must visit if you’re into Greek cuisine or want to try something different... the starters and main course were well prepared and left a wonderful taste which we paired with their special Greek cocktails and then their dessert wines.
Good food and nice ambience, indoor and outdoor seating options perfect for group of friends or romantic date, staff are friendly and attends to your needs promptly, food is very good will come back again
Delicious food and the cute place. I Highly recommended this place to anyone... I can eat there few days in a row without getting enough of it
Super proud to see places like Elia exist and hopefully thrive in Dubai. Their food puts the likes of Opa and Gaia to shame and less than half the price, their service is fantastic (especially thanks to Raafat our attentive waiter), if only they opened for lunch as well. From Moussaka to the Logma like dessert, food was heavenly. Good job all round to the team!

hidden away in bur Dubai is the Greek little restaurant with super friendly staff and great food! the eggplant dip that comes with the bread was amazing..my hubby had an off-menu seabass risotto which was really good!
my only remark is that cheese saganaki was weird. it was a base of vegie "ratatouille" of some sorts with melted cheese on it...ummm... not the saganaki I know.
otherwise it was lovely!!
This restaurant is one of my favorite places in Dubai. The food is brilliant, the atmosphere feels like you are far away from the city and the staff are so prompt with their service and a smile.
A Greek taverna in the heart of Dubai @eliadubai serves authentic Greek food with a warm hospitality. Everything ordered was mouthwatering and attentive to details from the ingredients to the presentation of the dishes. They also have a Greek band which makes it a cosy family atmosphere. Highly recommended and special thanks to Roopali and Petros for making our experience unforgettable 🍴
What can I say? If I could transfer smell and flavor across this digital medium, I wouldn't have to use any words at all! One of the very few authentic culinary experiences that successfully bring the flavors of this unique Mediterranean cuisine to the urban Dubai environment, the dishes and beverages are enjoyable with every bite and sip. The best thing? It will have you dancing like Zorba and spending as much as he did!
The best Greek place in town! Service is unbelievable and the food/drinks always delight. For me personally this is the ideal place for a memorable night out.
Authentic Greek food with Mediterranean atmosphere.
We visited Elia with a group of friends for an early new year dinner. We ordered variety of starters from tzatziki to fried calamari, all tasted very good. My favorite was fried hellumi cheese.
For main course, I ordered Grilled Chicken Souvlaki and my friends order different dishes. I didn’t like the chicken, it had a false taste on it. I tried my friends mousaka, it was delicious.
Elia team was very helpful and attentive, manager visited our table a more than once. Overall good experience.

So we started off with there special breads and dips. We tried there special Greek Wine its called Katogi Averoff and then we tried there Dolmadakia which was made of vine leaves stuffed with rice and herbs and taste was really good and also i loved there grilled halloumi topped with fig sauce it was one of the best thing i have ever had.. please check our blog post for more detailed experience about the food.
Definitely i recommend this place.

We actually found this place under “Hidden Treasures” on Zomato. It truly is a hidden treasure! The place itself is so nicely put together - really echoing a feel/look of Greece. More importantly the food is absolutely brilliant. At this point I have tried almost every item on the menu and was rarely dissapointed. Heads up that this place is usually full on the weekend....book in advance if you wanted to go.

This restaurant is one of the few restaurants offering Greek cuisine in Dubai. Enjoy a traditional home-cooked dinner with its fresh Greek ingredients, as well as contemporary dishes.
.
The ambience of the restaurant is warm and romantic to spend time with family or to celebrate the special occasion, the decor is wonderful, the staff are friendly, the service is excellent, the prices are convenient, and the valet service is available.
I have to give this restaurant a perfect rating mainly because the outstanding food goes hand in hand with the outstanding service provided by each and every member of the staff. Been to this place 3 times now and it seems to just keep getting better. Great ambience that provides food well worth the price tag. Elia I salute u for understanding the fact that the food means nothing if the service doesnt match. From the moment we arrived we received warm smiles and greetings from the staff that made us feel more than just customers but more like family. The food is absolutely delicious from the starter dishes like tzatziki, patatas tiganitis and cheese saganaki and halloumi with caramalised fig to the salad called Dakos salad which is probably one of the best salads i have ever tasted and so unique with its barley rusk feta cheese and beautiful fresh dressing. For the main course the moussaka was probably the best ive ever had to the point that even though I was full I was still able to finish the whole thing. This restaurant is a little gem. I know it has won a number of awards in the past and it is clear to see why. It has not made the same mistake that many other restaurants in dubai have made by dropping standards and becoming too complacent and cocky. The staff are polite and friendly at all times and make conversation and helpful suggestions every time they visit the table. Yes Elia is definitely worth more than just one visit and I highly recommend it. If there was such a thing as a little gem then Elia fits the bill completely.. A MUST VISIT.
Always dreamed to travel to Greece and explore the culture and food? Now, you can. You don't need to leave Dubai, just try Elia in Majestic Hotel. The food is delicious (the grilled stuffed calamari are a must), the atmosphere is lovely and the staff is superb. Their attention to details and dedication are commendable.
My first brush with Greek cuisine was recently at Elia.
The ambiance was very cozy and romantic with dim lights and candle lit tables. The place somehow gave me ocean vibes, and I immediately fell in love with the ambiance.
We started off with Tzatziki dip with pita bread and dolmadakia. Tzatziki is a dip made of greek yogurt, garlic, dill and olive oil. I could taste some cucumber too. This with the toasted pita bread was teh perfect way to start our dinner.
Dolmadakia reminded me of Warak enab, although the latter is a cold mezze. Dolmadakia is served warm and is vine leaves stuffed with rice and herbs served with a yogurt dip. Such a perfect combination. The tangy vine leaves combined with the stuffing was just perfect for one's palate.
For the mains, we chose to have Loukouma Feta's salad and Grilled Sea Bream.
We were sold when we were told that the salad is accompanied with capsicum icecream/souffle. It was an irresistible and amazing combination and is definitely a must have.
The Sea bream, was deboned at our table, and it was amazing to see it being done live. it was served along with greens and garlic sauce.
For our dessert we tried the Melopita. It was beautifully presented and is essentially a biscuit served with whipped cream, nuts and vanilla ice cream. It was different to atste, but not something my Indian palate was familiar with.
We had a glass of red and white wine to go with our meal.
The staff was extremely polite, warm, helpful and attentive to all our needs and were ever pleasant.
I'd definitely recommend this place.
Thank you for making our dinner memorable! Had the most amazing Greek food. We were the only ones sitting till late. Charmaine was our server for the dinner and she was smiling and very helpful!
The food was excellient. Recommend to try it. ❤ enjoyed 50th birthday of our dear friend Meena ! They made it memorable.
One of the finest places I discovered this summer. The ambience is just delightful and the food is diving. I had ordered their Mousaka on the recommendation of the lady serving and my guest had the Lamb Gamopilafo. I must say they live up the the expectations! Its only a pity that we were famished and didn't click any photos as the presentation was mesmerising. Great Job!
Beautiful interior, romantic and relaxing. I went for my birthday diner, the experience was very good. The food, ambience , service all in all perfect for the day.
One of the best part about Greek food is that it never disappoints vegetarians. The menu has loads of variety apart from salads. I ordered a cocktail and the bartender very politely accommodated my request to remake the drink as per my taste. I would have rated 5 start but one of my fav item of Greek culinary (Baked Feta) was a disappointment. The dish was very blend and did not like baked feta at all. All in all the service and experience was good and made special with a complimentary desert for the occasion.
A true and authentic Greek experience with impeccable food and top notch customer service. We'll surely be coming back again and Elia will be one of our new favourites in town.
A hidden gem! We stumbled upon this place and were truly wowed by the food, ambience and service. A Santorini vibe with the chef having the magic of Mamma's cooking and the true art of presentation that is at par with any Michelin chef. The 2 free glasses of red/white for the ladies on Tuesday night sealed the deal for me. Can't wait to go back.
5/5 for this one!My favorite Greek restaurant in Dubai we always go there on occasions because we live a little bit far from this place but I wish it was nearby :)
have never had a better Souvlaki ever!
I’m generally not a big fan of Greek food but this I wouldn’t mind repeating. We went when it was still bearable to sit outdoors in the evening. Their terrace is so beautiful! With the traditional white and stone setting, live slow music and a lovely atmosphere in general.
They started of with their complimentary bread and, really amazing olives and dip. For starters I got the Greek salad which was light and the dressing was really well seasoned. For main course, the grilled chicken souvlaki (chicken on skewers and a must try)
When a friend suggested Elia for a girls night out I was surprised at learning there’s a Greek restaurant in the heart of Bur Dubai !
What is even more surprising is the mesmerising ambience of Elia which teleports you straight to the streets of Santorini !
Ambience : 5/5
The indoor is very true to its Greek heritage & the outdoor too is extremely charming.
Service : 5/5
The staff is friendly & prompt with their service !
Drinks : 5/5
We tried the 500 ml carafe of the House Greek Red & White Wine which were both yummy & easy on the pocket !
Food : 4.5/5
Tzatziki Dip : 5/5
I’m usually not a fan of dips with vegetable in it however this was something I couldn’t get enough of !
Fried Halloumi : 4/5
The cheese was crispy and fried to perfection accompanied with a beautiful apricot sauce which paired very well but was a tad bit too sweet for my palette .
Roka Salad : 5/5
An amazing summer salad paired with a refreshing lemon sorbet dressing ! MUST TRY !
Dessert : 4/5
We tried the Loukoumades which is a Greek dessert of fried dumplings soaked in a honey syrup , it’s an interesting way to end the meal !
All in all I highly recommend Elia for a Romantic evening out or just to experience a slice of Santorini in Dubai ;)
Great food, good service, nice ambience and lovely decor. Real authentic greek food with many vegatarian options. Grilled octopus was amazing.
Fresh off a visit to Elia last night, and I'm still dreaming about the amazing food! The first thing that hits you when you walk into the restaurant is the ocean-inspired, beachy chic decor and ambience - it feels upscale without being pretentious. The staff are extremely courteous and accommodated our switch to another table even though we were half an hour early for our reservation.
There were three of us in total and we took what turned out to be a highly effective approach to food ordering - three starters, two mains and one dessert. We chose the haroupopita traditional Cretan pie (carob dough with Greek cheeses inside), cheese saganaki (oven baked cheese in tomato sauce) and dolmadakia (stuffed vine leaves) for our starters. I'm not a fan of vine leaves in general, but this was top notch with just the right amount of stuffing and bite-sized portions. The Cretan pie was not a hit amongst my companions but that just meant more for me; it tasted a tad bland and cheesy, but I improvised by having it with a bread dip (more on that later). The saganaki was the starter superstar, gooey and melty and rich and flavorful and unbelievably delicious.
For mains we ordered the gemista (veggies stuffed with burghul and herbs) that is generous in portion and easily shareable between two, and the grilled chicken souvlaki, which was just right for one and perfectly cooked. The stuffing of the gemista deserves to be on the menu on its own - never knew burghul can taste that good! For dessert we opted for Loukoumades, a Greek version of loghaimat and the BEST version I've ever had! It's a sin to visit Elia and leave without trying this; you'll thank me later.
A couple of tips:
- Their drinks menu has a lot of wines imported from Greece and other Greek spirit infused cocktails that are worth a try. We had Greek white wine and Mexcata(?) mojito, both of which were different but very good.
- They serve four types of complimentary bread with the most divine "eggplant salad" dip. You'd be better off finishing this before you decide to order pita and dips as a starter.
They lost a point off the rating because of the uncomfortable chairs (uncushioned and wooden-backed) that you wouldn't expect from this level of an establishment, and the 40 minute wait for our dessert because the kitchen was overwhelmed with other orders. But it's easy to look past these issues when you've had a fantastic meal otherwise and the server - thank you Cynthia! - made sure you had a good time. Make a reservation and head to Elia at the earliest - you won't regret it.
Visited with Rajini Ravi and Amina Adam.
Amazing place with great atmosphere and food 😇 First time tried Greek traditional food and fall in love with it. Highly recommending to visit this place!
We’d been planning to visit Elia for quite a while and we recently paid a visit. It’s nestled away inside Mankhool minus the hustle bustle. We were there by 8 and only a few patrons were there but it didn’t take much time to fill up. We ordered the Roe sauce, grilled calamari and smoked sea bass. Food was right and so was the price. The Roe is good for 3 to 4 people. Service was great, very courteous people. The decor is simple but done with great thoughtfulness. We really enjoyed the live music, We don’t understand Greek but the music and the way they were singing was enchanting. We felt the singers were adding feelings n meaning to each word they were singing, that was pleasing to our ears. The duo blends well with the decor , the food and with Elia in general. We will definitely visit again for the food n music.
Very beautiful lovely place with amazing live greek music. Amazing greek food which I really enjoyed however the portion was not enough for one.
Very lovely and polite staff.
We enjoyed three complementary glasses of fine wines for the ladies night as well.
Definitely recommend it for its amazing environment and great food.
İnanılmaz tatlı, güzel bir mekan. Oturduğumuz süre içinde sanki Dubai’ de değil İstanbul ya da Yunanistan’ da gibiydik. Ana yemek almaya bile gerek kalmadı mezeler gerçekten on numara !!! Özellikle tavsiyem roka salatası. Kesinlikle pişman olmazsınız.. son olarak Ouzo içtik şişesi 500 dirhem
We went here to celebrate my sister's birthday as I just happened to see the reviews and got curious about this restaurant. The interiors are beautifully styled, the staff is super-attentive and the hostess is willing is explain everything to help you choose your dishes.
As we waited for our food, we were served complimentary walnut bread with olives and a smoke aubergine dip. Honestly, the aubergine dip is HEAVENLY! We couldn't get enough of it! The walnut bread tasted like unsweetened walnut cake. We were also served three types of bread- sourdough, olive and cheese. All had a unique taste and depending on your taste, one of them will stand out to you.
For our starter, we ordered the stuffed calamari. This dish arrived after our salad and main course. I wasn't too fond of this dish as there was too much tomato and very less cheese. We also ordered the Greek salad which was fresh and beautiful with the amazing olives, feta cheese and herbs. We ordered the Ravioli as my sister and I both love ravioli. This was the best vegetarian dish in my opinion as the cheese inside the ravioli was gooey and stretchy, while the mushroom sauce (which tasted like thickened mushroom stock) perfectly balanced the cheese.
We also ordered the molten cake with hazelnut ice cream which was presented well. I loved the hazelnut ice cream!
This place is a must-try for romantics. It has live music and a very Greek countryside atmosphere for the perfect date night!
Came here for my husband’s birthday on a Wed night :)
We love Greek food and usually find the mezze are great for vegetarians. Elia was no exception. There are tonnes of things on the menu here for veggies including a few items you may never have seen before at other Greek restaurants. Apparently Elia even has a vegetarian night on Tuesdays - that would definitely be worth checking out. Though I think we went a little overboard and maybe tried most of them on our visit anyway...
We ordered the tomato fritters, saganaki, tzatziki and pita bread, dolmades, the wild greens pie, and the traditional Cretan pie. The standout of the night was the tomato fritters - tomatokeftes from Santorini Island. They were so so scrumptious. The rest was all delicious (and filling!) as well though for me the pies were nice to try but not something I would get again. They reminded me a bit of quesadillas, which are not my favourite.
For dessert we got the Loukoumades (always great) which come with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and the Greek mastic ice cream that tastes a bit like pine needles - a bit off putting if you have never tried it before.
The decor of the restaurant is lovely, and sitting outside on the balcony amongst the olive trees and murals of the Greek seaside was fun. This place was getting busy later on in the night, even on a weekday.
Overall we had a wonderful experience, the staff were great, and the food was amazing. I would definitely recommend it and come back.
One thing to mention though - fancier restaurants in Dubai will give you a special complimentary dessert if you tell them when you book that you are coming for a birthday or anniversary. Elia is not one of those restaurants. I booked online and mentioned the birthday in the comments to the restaurant, so not sure if that changed anything. But the staff that seated and served us did not mention it so I assume they were not aware. This wasn’t an issue for us, but I just thought I’d mention it in case anyone else goes here for a special occasion and secretly hopes for a little ‘surprise’. We have just been too spoiled elsewhere I guess.

Last weekend I got a chance to visit this hidden gem tucked away in Majestic Hotel Bur Dubai. It was my first time to this property and like the fact that they have good options of restaurants in the hotel. My husband and I were welcomed warmly and the server ushered us to our reserved table. The restaurant boost indoor and outdoor setting area and thank fully we got to sit outside. The moment we step out to the outdoor sitting area it seemed like as if we are in Santorini, whitewashed plain wall and minimalist approach to the table setting, made our feeling strong as if we are transported to the Greece. Isn’t it fascinating?
Very nice food. The Kalamata olives and olive oil was to die for. We had ordered the chefs specials, Which keep changing, but they completely lived up to the hype.
Love this amazing hidden gem in the heart of Bur Dubai! With fantastic ambience, authentic Greek music and cuisine and amazing service , one couldn't ask for more. They give 3 varieties of amazing complimentary bread, alongwith an olive tapenade and a great dip! We had the grilled stuffed calamari as an appetiser, which was truly unique and went for the moussaka for the mains. Sadly we were so stuffed, we couldn't have any dessert, but definitely want to try it next time. They have a great collection of wine and the service was really commendable! The amazing outdoor area is perfect to sit in in these winter months. Definitely recommend!
This restaurant checks all the boxes - really good food, excellent service, and great atmosphere. The restaurant set up in a way that you can easily forget you’re in one of the busiest parts of Dubai. The outdoor area is very well designed and feels like a courtyard on a Greek island. They might have changed their menu recently, but if they still have the lamb leg it’s definitely worth a try along with the Greek salad and grilled octopus. I’m a big fan of Mythos but still prefer Elia when I can get myself to make the trip down there. If you haven’t been to Elia yet, please do and thank me later!
Great food and great service! Excellent value for money! Best dishes: short ribs and nerati pie!! Don't miss out! And of course don't forget to have a Greek wine or tsipouro :-)
This place is my absolute favorite for food, I even prefer this over their slightly more stylish counterpart Mythos.
Both the Tzatziki and tomato kefta are out of the world!! Mushroom ravioli is great, but can be super filling. Both their bread and service is warm, fulfilling and makes for a wonderful dining experience!
Great for celebrations and big groups :)
Absolutely loved this place! The interiors are super pretty and very Greek styled. Lovely service by the staff as well. What I like most about this place is the simplicity in their food. I highly recommend making reservations as it could get pretty full quickly.
Here's what we ordered -
Tzatziki - Super rich and creamy. Goes really well with pita bread.
Pita bread - came warm, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.
Beef Meatballs - Really delicious and soft. Highly recommend this dish.
Mousaka- I can never not order this dish at a Greek restaurant. It's rich, full of flavour and it's really filling.
Tender Lamb Morsels - this was the star of the night. It came in hot and the lamb was super soft with a delicious gravy. It comes with baked potatoes. I loved this dish and I highly recommend it.
Overall, I loved the food here. It can be a bit pricey but if you're planning for a special night, it's the place to be.
Best Greek food ever! We have been to Greece many times where tried the typical dishes that they normally serve to tourists. But at Elia restaurant we tasted the authentic Greek food prepared the traditional way cooked with ingredients and spices and virgin olive oil a reminder to where the Mediterranean cousine has started. We tried the grilled fish with risotto, the grilled calamari and the seafood youvetsi, accompanied of course with the original Greek salad. Very friendly staff, great decor that brings you instantly to a Greek island and extremely reasonable prices for the quality of food and service.
#TFCRecommends - Mousaka at Elia.
Elia is an under rated restaurant at Bur Dubai’s Majestic Hotel serving Greek food. The interiors are extremely cozy and exuberant. The place is buzzing but not too loud. Their food and salads are outstanding - especially the Greek and Feta ones.
It is the perfect place for good food, good wine and great conversations.
#ThatFoodieChick #TFCTales #Elia
I joint a group of friends for dinner at Elia last weekend. What a delight. The food was amazing. We shared a couple of starters like the meat balls, the filled grilled calamari, the tzaziki...really, really tasty. Also the breads' taste was absolutely special. I had the seabass for main course which also could not have been any better. Thumbs up for the Chef and the kitchen team. The staff was also very friendly and attentive. The only thing which could have been better was the music. Aside from that, great venue, food and atmosphere
This place is a hidden gem. Who would think that in bur dubai, one of the most unassuming hotels has this phenomenal outlet that is par excellence.
The place requires table reservations as it is usually quite busy, especially on the weekends.
The interiors are extremely cozy and so well done. They add to the wow factor of the place. It’s highly recommended if you want to have a good sit down dinner with people who you want to have a good conversation with. The place is buzzing but not loud.
The food - the best Greek fare served in the uae without a doubt. And of course, ample amount of veg options available for people like me.
For starters we ordered Tzatziki, tomato kafta, Greek salad and Taramosalata. Difficult to pick a favorite but first two were delicious.
For main course we ordered Greek raviola and free range chicken. Sumptuous!!
The wine selection is fantastic too.
What adds to the wonderfulness of this quaint little place is the chef walking around greeting diners and asking for their feedback.
Get away to an authentic little Greek restaurant that offers the feel of being on the Islands 🌴! It's unassumingly located in Al Mankhool area, and it's one of the cutest cosy restaurant with Greek fare you can go to. I highly recommend it.
We went with the family of 6 adults and a toddler. All with different tastes and food requests. Hence we ordered a variety of divergent plates.
All of it was stunning looking and food tasted great. We ordered Tzatziki, must try the Tomato Kafka, Cheese Saganaki and Loukouma feta salad with red capsicum sorbet.
Main courses, grilled chicken souvlaki, slow cooked lamb shank (all meat lovers must do), I loved the Gemista, I.E. stuffed tomato and capsicum, and seafood giouvetsi, orzo pasta with shrimps, calamari, mussels and fresh tomato.
Lastly, desserts, the Greek style, Loukoumades sweet dumplings with honey, walnuts, cinnamon & mastiha ice cream!
And the chef came out to check with each of us what we really enjoyed, personal! Superb experience.
Elia is one amazing restaurant with amazing food and service.
Their Dakos salad is my favourite as well as mousaka.
Very affordable price for delicious food.
Highly recommended.
One of the best places to go for traditional and authentic Greek food! I love the flavors of the food and the staff is really friendly and helpful.I like the fact that the food is absolutely traditional authentic and healthy .You won't be disappointed, your stomach will be happy and your wallet won't be completely empty. I would totally recommend the place to others.
Elia is a hidden gem in Dubai. Elia serves greek food and is located in Majestic hotel in Mankhool area.
Ambience: 4.5/5
The ambience is very cozy with three type of seating areas - inside, terrace with glass windows overlooking a made-up garden and outside seating in garden (open only during winters). The decor is all white giving the place a chic feel and great contrast with the green trees visible all along the glass windows.
Service: 4/5
The service is great and servers try to maintain a good conversation all throughout. The service does gets a little slow at times but I visited the restaurant on Thursday evening when the place was really busy.
Food: 4/5
Elia serves complimentary walnut bread with Eggplant dip and Olives , and another bread basket with olive oil to start with. The olives were really fresh and delicious.
For starters we ordered,
- Tzatziki dip and Pita bread: the dip is fresh minty yoghurt with cucumbers and is very refreshing. Even the pita bread was fresh and delicious
- Stuffed Calamari: The flavors were too overwhelming for my taste. I would give this dish a miss the next time
For main course, we were informed by our server that Lamb Shank, Chicken Souvlaki and Mediterranean Bream were the bestselling dishes. We ordered the former two.
Lamb Shank: Perfectly cooked, really soft and melted in the mouth. Full of flavor and served with a very nice eggplant salad. Must try!!
Chicken Souvlaki: Greek version of shish tawkook. Three chicken skewers served with pita bread, tzatziki dip and fries. Nice dish for grilled chicken lovers.
We also tried Irish Coffee which was made perfectly and served with lots of whipped cream. They also have a very nice selection of wines.
Go there for the cozy ambience and delicious greek food. 👍👍👍👍
If you’re looking for a classy cute little romantic dining experience, then Elia should definitely be your choice. The interiors will give you an ‘aww’ moment; the noteworthy being candles and dim lit setting which perfectly goes with the overall feel of this place. To start with, we were presented with olive dip and egg plant dip with a variety of breads till our food arrived. If you’re a wine lover then you’ve found your place... the wine menu will leave you mesmerized. How can a romantic dinner be complete without wine ? I stuck to my all time favorite watermelon juice. I ordered for Tzatziki dip which was served with pita bread and Greek Raviola. It was delicious and freshly prepared. I am in love with this Greek restaurant and have visited many times. They have many veg options as well. You can try their Greek Salad and Fried Halloumi Cheese which is yummy. The staff is extremely kind with their suggestions.
Brownie points for the chef walking around and greeting people and asking if they like the food or if anything requires change. Such a sweet gesture to show customer value.
One of the true hidden gems of Dubai, Elia is an authentic Greek restaurant in every way!
Elia, is an authentic Greek restaurant .. as soon as you step inside, you hear the Greek music filling up the room, the restaurant's interior design transports you to Greece for sure with its crisp white and blue mix..the food menu is vibrant with traditional meals and some with a modern twist. Very flavourful and yum..the waters are constantly around, topping up the drinks and replenishing whatever needed on the table.we had a great experience .
We had one of the best meals there a few weeks back.
Chicken souvlaki and Gemista were out of this world!
Loukamades was heavenly
We love Elia
Amaizing food , amazing beverage and very friendly staff.
I would definitely recommend it to anybody who wants to taste the real authentic greek food .
Elia is full of surprises as you really don't to expect to find such a beautiful Greek restaurant in that area ! Simply love the decor and service.
The food is equally amazing and I would highly recommend:
- tzaziki dip
-complementary bread that they serve
-rib eye steak
-oven roasted chicken
The food isn't spicy but packed flavour . Even side lines such as their sautéed potatoes and think fries are more flavourful than how one would expect
So, from the moment you enter Elia, you'll realize, ok, looks like i'm going to have a nice evening.
Starting by the cozy authentic Greek atmosphere and nice Greek background music, and the warm welcome of the gentle hostesses (specially Cynthia) you start feeling like home.
As the night goes on, nothing can make it better than delicious food, well prepared and perfectly seasoned. Conclusion: An oasis in the middle of the desert. Thank you for the amazing evening.
After So many years in Dubai And always go to Majestic hotel, I Never have chance to eat in Ellia, last week we had dinner over there, Love the food so much, especially the starters grilled tiger prawns with salad is so yummy, the lamb rack as a main course amazing, definitely will come back again to try something else, the manager and staff they are lovely too.
A hidden gem!
After years in Dubai we found this amazing place in a hotel we had never heard of before 😉
We had a perfect evening, amazing food, great service in a beautifully decorated restaurant.
The tzaziki and warm pida bread was so yummy we almost stuffed ourselves before the mains even arrived! Our waiter gave us great recommendations and all dishes were outstanding.
We'll definitely be back soon and hope to sit in the lovely garden next time.
An absolute hidden gem!!
Did you know one can find so many options into vegetarian food as well?! I was stunned when I finished my meal at Elia.
Their ambience is very romantic, especially if you are sat outdoors in their garden like setting. Their food is so fresh one can literally taste the ingredients and I can swear by their service. A very big thanks to Sharmeen for making our experience outstanding.
Given I am a vegetarian, there were not many choices. We all know about the famous Greek salad but I wanted to try something different. I ordered for a Tzatziki, their pita bread and Vegetarian Gemista. It is so hard to say what I liked better. The Tzatziki was so fresh and went very well with the warm pots bread, got over in seconds ❤️
Loved the concept of herbed rice stuffed inside peppers👍🏼, and the cheese on the side was so fresh👌🏼!!!
Many thanks to the Chef who made it a point to visit every table during dinner.
I would have given them 5/5, however I am looking forward for more vegetarian main options on their menu.
Great service and food Meatballs dish and ravioli are highly recommended plus the beautiful interior with Greek atmosphere ..had a blast on my wife birthday dinner one of the best authentic resturants in Dubai
Greece in Dubai. Very friendly staff and always smiling and willing to assist and make you feel like home.
They have a variety of Greek Dishes.
I recommend (one of your dishes to be) Loukouma Feta Salad, is delicius and enchants even those who are dificult with food.
Truly such a hidden gem. Tucked away in Majestic hotel service is really friendly and efficient. Flavours are just WOW. Price is affordable for what they serve and compared to its competitors. Portions are plenty. Ordered the lamb shank which was made to perfection. The bream was tasty but mayyyybe the price could come down q tad bit. Their stuffed grilled calamari. WOW. Perfectly made and the stuffing is bursting with flavors.
All in all definitely worth a trip annnnnd few more after that. I know I will be :)
See you soon
After quite a hunt for a nice and ambient restaurant towards mankhool side we happened to try Greek cuisine at this place( that's a first for me). So to begin with this place looks great, super ambient and well designed interiors. Somehow it's got this nice air around the place despite being fully packed. Next the service, this I'd mention separately because it was really good though we went in during the peak time. The nice waitress made sure we got a table when we were thinking 'oops no reservations and she's probably looking at the computer to make it less awkward when she assures us that the place is full'. Moving forward we go to ordering for food. We ordered Grilled meat balls for starters and Chicken Slouvaki for mains. With my appetite I wasn't sure if that's suffice but trust me it did and it did really well.
The grilled Meat balls were great. They served it with a tasty eggplant dip and pickled olives and breads. Who knew even eggplant could taste so good. Then comes the Chicken slouvaki, now this dish comes with small pieces of pita bread and is delicious and super filling. It's quite similar to how sheesh tawook is yet different in it's overall flavor.
All together it was a really nice experience. Didn't regret trying a new cuisine thanks to this place. Oh I almost forgot to mention. This place adjacent to it(Tirquaz) serves sheesha too, there's a separate area for smoking+dining. For wine enthusiasts this place has quite a huge collection of Greek wines adorning their walls.
Finally, this place was not too harsh on the pocket considering the quality of food and service. Would cost an average of AED 200 for 2 people. Pricey but I'd still recommend to try at least once ;)
Zaitoun is a restaurant for lovers – lovers of Italian food, lovers of Italian music, and lovers of sharing an Italian moment with somebody special. This is what Zaitoun looks like from the resort gardens looking in. The ambience inside is warm and at the same time exciting: it’s like something special is about to happen!
The feel of this restaurant is absolutely cozy, and the staff make it even more so! Very pleasant and helpful service, where they weren't shy in making suggestions and recommending their own personal favorites.
Now the food - portions were just right ( maybe small for people with a large appetite) and the flavours were fresh and delightful. The beef meatballs were hand down the best I've had until now!
Also be sure to try the Greek wines, they have a splendid selection.
Overall a great place for a peaceful dinner or a romantic date!
I go here regularly. This is my zen, happy place. The food, sevice ambience and prices are unbeleivable. I would rather eat here than anywhere else in Dubai
Very pleasant ambience with smoking and non smoking sections available. Food was fantastic specially Tyrokafteri , Free range chicken, tomato kefta and must try is Loukoumades. Price is bit upper side but worth it.
The food here is very good, i had the seabass fricasee with risotto and a lemon foam, the lemon foam was too sour for my liking, but the dish was lovely. We also ordered the lamb shank was huge and melt in your mouth perfectly cooked. We had the chocolate erupted lemon pie with bergamot ice cream which was amazing.!They have lovely wines, the ambience and service is spot on. Perfect for special occasions. Its preferable to make a reservation.
Went there last Saturday with my friend for dinner, I had amazing night and experience. Big thanks to amazing stuff. I'm gonna come back for sure.
This place is a hidden gem in Dubai. A great restaurant that many can miss, but I assure you after the verry first bite, an affair between your tastebuds and food cannot be dissuaded.
My wife had chosen this place as my birthday dinner venue, we were greeted by smiling faces and a very polite staff. When we had a dilemma on the wine selection, the manger Ms. Maria came to our rescue and brought us a wine that was still not added to the menu.
We ordered the following
Tender lamb morsels, Sea bass fricassee, Shortribs and free range chiken.
The meats were cooked to perfection as they were tender and we'll balanced with spices.
The suggestion of the sparkling wine was also spot on as it paired with the food superbly.
A shout out the the Manger Ms. Maria who was taking orders, ensuring the guest had great time and what surprised and made us admire her passion was in fact that she wiped the table of the curmbs herself as she knew her staff were busy.
Thank you for a wonderful dinner we are looking forward to having another mouth watering experience here
Martina
I've been to Elia twice and in both visits the food was delicious and the staff very friendly and caring. The decoration of the restaurant and the food presentation is also very tasteful. The lamb cutlets needed in my opinion a little more seasoning or salt.
One of my favorite restaurants in the city, having been here for almost 10 years. It offers some of the best food and made Greek food famous here. You must try the calamari, the moussaka, the lamb shank, the sea bass risotto, the fried halloumi, tomato kefte. Actually anything you order is amazing in Elia. Leave room for dessert because the loukoumades are to die for.
Service is really good, friendly and relaxed. The service staff knows the menu very well and can guide you. You'll probably also get to meet the Chef who is an authentic lady from a Greek island.
The good thing is it's licensed too. Elia is a must. No wonder it's still going strong all these years.
Excellent quality of food, with plenty of options in the menu, beautiful atmosphere and the service is really good. One of my absolute favourites in Dubai. I always enjoy going there. If you haven't tried it yet, you must plan a visit soon!
Awesome, Fantastic, Woww what else should I say ! It is one of the best restaurants I have been to in Dubai. This restaurant made me fall in love with Greek food.
The various types of complimentary bread comes with a jar of olives and delicious jar of Aubergine spread was just Lip – smacking.
Ambience is like you are by the sea, with traditional greek music that sets your mood & you are transported to a laid back life. You almost feel like being in Greece
The food is truly outstanding. Really enjoyed everything we were served!
Round of Applause to Chef Poppy for her excellent authentic delicious food. The fact that she personally came to our table, meant a lot to us.
If you want to get introduced to Greek food, Elia comes highly recommended. Yours truly was absolutely spellbound at her mainden tryst with the mediterranean cuisine.
Any given greek dish generally comes with a heavy smattering of olive oil and herb lashed veggies and well seasoned meats. Not to mention their lip-smacking dips (tzatziki, melitzanosalata, taramasalata). And given its tag of authentic greek cuisine, Elia lived up to that and how.
We had a pot pourri of varied appetiser, main course and deserts - beef meatballs, manourie mousse salad, stuffed grilled calamari, tender lamb morsels, and two deserts whose names I cant quite recollect.
All in all, a cracker of a meal, replete with gracious service and an ambience that can transport you to Greece. The food comes packed with oodles of flavour and the atmosphere and service just take it to another dimension.
Must-try haunt!
If you are tired of polished and modern design places, this is the restaurant for you. The moment you enter it you feel the warm ambience. You definitely understand you are in Greek restaurant, it is not a cliche decor but authentic and well designed place. Hospitality and friendliness of the staff is on the point, their pastel blue perfectly ironed shirts match the colors of the restaurant. And yes, they do know the menu and they gave us good recommendations.
Now about the food.
Delicious meals. Elegant presentation.
It was few of us and we ordered tzatziki, Greek and Roka salads for starters which was accompanied by amazing eggplant dip and olives. I even don't know which one was better.
As for the main course I highly recommend short ribs; and seabass fricassee - lemon sauce is something to die for 😊
P.s. I was so close not to write a review this time as I wanted to keep this place to myself but this restaurant deserves a public praise.
