(التعليق الأصلي) We dined at The Hide located in Jumeirah Al Qasr recently. The venue is spacious with indoor and outdoor dining area. The atmosphere is stunning and great for a date night. Though the highlight of the Hide grill and bar are the steaks, they offer something for everyone including vegans and vegetarians. Special mention for their beautifully handcrafted cocktails and top notch service. Our culinary experience at the Hide was absolutely delightful.

(التعليق الأصلي) A steakhouse in Jumairah Al Qasr hotel. The decor is Dull decor but food was very good. The highlight of the dinner was the cheesecake. (التعليق الأصلي) I'm glad this place reopened after a temporary shutdown due to the pandemic. A great steakhouse, with perfect service and excellent cocktails to match. Definitely go for the outdoor seating on the terrace if the weather permits.

Well what can I say. So disappointed. MJ's was such a lovely restaurant with lovely food and a great menu. Now we are lumbered with this place - The Hide. Yep, I would hide it too!! The decor and setup is horrible it's far too casual. The menu is rubbish, not much to choose from! Flat steaks or 3 others. A tenderloin on the bone, who offers a tenderloin on the bone?! I've had a lot of tenderloins and they aren't ever on the bone!! I went for the New York strip instead which was tough, fatty, no flavour, overcooked. Then there's the limited option of aides, if you can find them on the menu! Options are fatty potatoes, fatty potatoes, fatty potatoes, fatty onion rings, fatty onion rings, more fatty potatoes, only 2 options of veg, either covered in cheese or something else unhealthy! The only thing that was good about this place is the staff, the wine and the fact we could still use the Mjs vouchers so it wasn't full price!! Al Qasr is a stunning, elegant hotel. This place seriously doesn't fit in and brings the place down. I most certainly will not be going back, ever!

This place was a perfect little find. Amazing experience from the begining with gondola ride to the restaurant, the food and wine recommendations from Andrew, our waiter, right through to the end, nothing was too much trouble. It was fab fab fab. Thank You, I will be back

Very nice place, amazing food, friendly service. We went by Jeffrey's recommendations (our waiter): it was just out of this world. And good sized portions. Loved the place. Highly recommended

Loved this place! So much food and live entertainment. I even had a little dance with my mother in law! Not something I get to do often in Dubai. Thanks for an amazing evening

My Order:
- OMG Onion Rings
- 220G Tenderloin Steak
- Campfire S’Mores

In my time in Dubai, this was the most pricey restaurant that I dined in, however you definitely get what you pay for. Me, Nate and Rikky had a very enjoyable and fancy time tasting each other’s meals. We were very impressed with the architecture and interior design. Lots of interesting to look at.

My particular order was the ‘Tenderloin’ and was probably the most tender, moist, tastiest and most expensive steak I have ever eaten. I devoured it slowly to really embrace. I must to respect the animal that sacrificed its life for my nutrition.

I wish I took photos of the other items, as it was pre-blogging days but trust me when I say the dessert menu is also to die for!

IG Blogger: @sexual_tongue
Food Place: @thehidedubai
IG Patrons: @lyrad_lauxes, @rikkah_tikkah, itsnatejt

The Hide brings a modern twist to the Dubai culinary scene with a fresh take on American cuisine. With a concept inspired by the coolest meateries in gastronomic capitals such as New York, Chicago and Los Angeles, The Hide's rustic yet modern surroundings gives an unrivaled ambiance as you gorge on prime cuts and American delicacies.

Flat Iron Steak is always a must when we visit this place, it just keeps getting better and better. Well done guys! Do not miss the Campfire S’mores, best dessert ever!
Dodi B
Came to try the campfire s’mores listed as one of the must try desserts in Dubai, and we agree.. a large spherical jar filled with indulgent wonderfulness, accompanied by a few cafe lattes was a perfect way to seal the weekend.

Joseph took great care of us and was keen to share the Hide’s offerings for future visits.

We were showing a visiting friend around, and this was an opportunity to show her the Madinat Jumeriah area. Step outside the Hide’s outdoor seating area and you have a great photo op to take pictures of the Burj al arab and have a nice walk along the canal.

Would definitely recommend trying, will be back again for s’more..
Its the mother of all brunches. You will be spoilt for choice for food and cocktails. From Indian, to Asian, seafood, Italian to steaks! You name it and they serve it. Even the cocktail menu is stunning. Spread across 3 restaurants, this is a brunch u should definitely try.
First of all. I ordered a Caesar salad and as we all know this salad is easy to make but this place kept on insisting to add anchovies, and when I asked not to they said it will change the taste and I was forced to choose another salad which ofcourse I didn't eat because I didn't like it. I explained to the manager Victoria and she still couldn't help. Really disappointing absolutely not recommending and even bother coming here again.

I went yesterday for dinner with my friends.
The place is located inside of Al Qasr hotel, one of the most beautiful hotels in Dubai!
The steak house has a beautiful entrance and decoration, with high tables around the bar and comfortable dinning tables all around.
The ambience is intimate and cozy, we were a group of 4 and we could talk perfectly.
We had some water and they served us the homemade bread which was delicious with a very fine butter and smoked flaky salt, all together was a perfect combination.
We had rocca salad with beetroot and feta cheese, was super fresh and perfect.
We had 2 American Rib eye 300g, were perfectly cooked medium as we requested, and we had 3 different sauces: the pepper was good, but the server didn't informed or checked about the alcohol (as it contained). Blue cheese was a good flavor, but was very thick and they forgot to give a spoon to serve it.
The mash potato and the onion rings were perfect.
Overall I made me feel very good, the crust was salty enough and the meat great, I would had love it a bit more juicy, but the flavor was perfect!
Great experience! I'll be back for sure.

The moment you enter this restaurant you feel just wow . they have ive band . great service and nice setting areas . regarding the food . bread was amazing with nice butter and salt . virde salad was nice . OMG onion wings was good but not at OMG level . we orderd 3 steaks the best one was the American angus ribeye steak . aged striploin was not that much great . and wagyu hanger steak was tender but not great . the bbq sauce was nice . as well as mashed parmesan potato . potato gratine . and mushroom sauce. Apple pie was great but the marshmello with chocolate and biscute was too sweet . overall was great experince . hope to visit again with more improvment

I wanted to try this restaurant since the first day of opening...finally I managed to visit after a friend invited me there for a celebration.
The inside area looked amazing, the smell of the meat and the leather is making you feel that you are in a proper steak house. Big comfortable booths and chairs is making the venue to look very warm and welcoming. The outside area though need some work as it was nothing so special.
We first sit on the bar to have some drinks, the bartender was very attentive and he looked like he knew what he was doing, very friendly and available to make jokes with us making us feel so comfortable. I ordered a special smoky cocktail with orange and rosemary which was one of the best drinks I ever had in my life!
We chose 4 starters...The Crispy Octopus was very tasty and memorable, a must try dish.
The Braised Ox Tail was served with bone marrow, a very good dish with different textures, the marrow fritter was just taking the dish in higher levels, a must try dish as well.
The Surf n' Turf was good in flavor but nothing that I will be ordering again.
Last of the starters the OMG Onion Rings were also good but nothing special, though an easy and safe starter to choose.
For the mains the Veal Cheeks were perfectly cooked, melting in the mouth but they were lacking of flavor, nothing wrong with the recipe, I just prefer the beef cheeks as they can offer a more complexed flavor in compare with the veal, the let down of the dish was the garnish, just white beans...
We also ordered The Jone Stone Rib Eye, dry aged. It arrived a as perfect Medium Rare (as ordered) but the flavor was nothing special (though have to admit that wherever I have tried dry aged meat in Dubai it is just same as a regular steak) and the texture was a bit chewy.
The winner for the main courses was the Hanger Steak, amazing flavor and texture softer than the rib eye!
Sides were also good, Sweet potato with marshmallow, pulled rib potato gratin.
Desserts as well were all very good, from Créme Brulée to Soufflé but the winner is definitely the Campfire Smores!
Service was very good as well and even when we requested to change our wine because we did not like it they did it immediately without making us feel uncomfortable.

Overall a very good experience, worth visiting again...

Great place with great food. We left from there FULL. We could not walk after this great dinner. From the bread till the dessert everything was great. Service was also really good.

Quite alright. For steak lovers its not an excellent choice but worth having for. Staff are knowledgeable enough and attentive which might one of the reason we will come back.

Oh my, where do i start. This is by far the most worst price to food experience i have ever had...in my life!

So disappointed with Jumeirah knowing how good they are in managing restaurants and delivering premium experience. This place needs to tidy up and get a complete revamp in terms of food , service, and quality.

The bread was excellent i must say but from there on everything was horrible. Really horrible.

I ordered one of the most expensive rib eyes on their menu (315AED) which was the Irish salted and smoked one. This was not a steak (picture would prove me right). This was a thinly sliced piece of carpaccio grilled! Im not a chef but i would even know not to serve steak that thin especially if its been salted and smoked. It tasted like one big lump of salt, dry, and chewy. Absolutely the aging and meat umami's were obliterated by the chef. Again please note the price 315aed!!!. I tried steaks from other friends all tasted weird, strange after tastes, and absolutely resembled cheap cuts of Brazilian meat!

i love Jumeirah and i'm confident this is not their standards nor what they promise customers. Definitely staying away from this place until they fix it.

I don't know from where to start honestly, but to simplfy things, it was a big disappointment. Following the great publicity and hype around the hide, I had high expectations which were sadly unmet. Let's start with the service and the servers knowledge which was weak, our order took forever to be delivered. The Ceaser salad tasted like anything but Ceaser, the steak we ordered was of a very low quality , my Wagyu steak had a very weird taste and texture. We complained alot, however we did not see any manager in the reataurant available to listen to our feedback. I highly do not recomend it to any 1.

We had dinner last week with my husband after lots of recommendations from our friend.
Food was okay, we ordered steaks but was surprised when we received it pre sliced. We tried their dessert, blueberry cheesecake and S'mores umm yum.

Steakhouse in Jumeirah, service was slow and quality of the food served doesn't match the price paid on that night! I don't I'll visit this place again.
Farah Edroos
Came here for the s'mores and was not disappointed. Our mains were alright, not sure why the steaks were cut for us but the dessert and the wine made up for that.
Where's My Plate
One of the best steakhouses in Dubai!

We went to dine with no reservation, restaurant was fully booked but they managed to find a spot on the bar. The bar tender was very welcoming, cheerful and seemed like he loved his job!

The "Flat Iron Steak" (medium) is highly recommended and every bite was cooked to perfection.

Wonderful dining experience with fantastic service and delicious meals!

The Hide located at Madinat Jumeriah
The OMG onion ring and the hide burger are good to order. The red splash and apple mule mocktails good to order

The service is good and the stuff is friendly and the ambiance is nice .

We had a mid-week dinner at the Hide after lots of recommendations. The food and atmosphere were top notch. We all had the steak, and no complaints around the table. The star dish however was the blueberry cheesecake we had for dessert - simply divine. I would definitely go back. The reason it's not a 5, is the music needs some updating, get the band to play better tunes and it would be 5* from me!

withLlaverne

the best mashed potato, beef cheeks and rib eye!! ❤️ will definitely comeback!!! staff are very friendly and the place is great!

Went here for a dinner with friends and I gotta say the place has a nice, rustic feel to it. Grabbed a drink at the bar first as we waited for our table and the waiter was very helpful and efficient.

First things first, do order the OMG ONION RINGS to begin with. The confit duck was perfectly complimented with the crunchy onion rings. I wish I got more duck though.

For mains we had THE HIDE WAGYU BURGER, THE HIDE 'MANWICH' and the HALF A FRENCH BIRD. To be honest everything had the right combination of flavors but it was average and nothing was standing out too much. Maybe I'll go for the steak next.

You'll be satisfied but no pop!
3.5/5

I've been meaning to try this place for a while so was glad to finally come here for dinner.

I loved the complimentary warm bread and butter served. It was yum. When booking via zomato I had advised that one guest was gluten free and they provided gluten free bread for her which was an added unexpected bonus.

We opted to go straight for mains with 2 of us going for lamb chops and the other chicken. My lamb chops were perfectly cooked. There were 3 pieces and it was served with some lentils. You definitely need to order a side with it.

Sides we had were mash potatoes, potato gratin and fries. The mash was good, the gratin too oily and the fries too crispy.

For dessert we ordered the s'mores to share. It was ok but I personally wouldn't order again.

Overall a good meal and the place accepts entertainer vouchers. Bill came to 200dhs each.

There's valet parking at al qasr hotel and you walk down the staircase when entering the hotel. The restaurant is on the left next to Arboretum.

Not a bad steak house. Well cooked meet. Good Selection of wine. Was quiet which works great for me. Will be making another trip in the future to try out the other items on the menu. :)

If you go to “The Hide”, I recommend you to go to the restaurant by Abra ride from Souq Madinat instead of walking. Then, you will also have another view of Souq Madinat and the nice feeling of slowly approaching your restaurant.

When we first went there, we had actually made a reservation for inside. But it seemed to loud (I do not think it was due to the guests; but due to the acoustics of the premises) that we wanted to be moved out. We were lucky to get a good spot where you can enjoy a good view of Burj Al Arab.
We ordered onion rings served with Buratta and 2 different steaks one from American Prime Time choice with a glass of Malbech accompanying. We found the taste OK. Their home-made bread's serving style and taste was excellent. The meant which we wanted to be made medium rare was medium cooked for us. We like the taste to be more juicy and obviously the color will show you whether it is medium rare or medium. To be honest, we were so hungry that we did not make that comment to our waiter and just ate our food.

The service was good and your waiter was giving you enough time to enjoy your food without rushing you to eat and order more.

Love the place, love the staff and love the food.

Since we got here, the staff were so amazing; they helped us choose out of the menu drinks.

Food quality was amazing, you enjoy every bite.
The starters bread was so fluffy, the OMG onion rings were perfect, the the main dishes were properly prepared and nicely served.
We topped it up with a nice apple pie that's so perfectly made.

I loved this place and I'm definitely coming back.

One last thing: we were waited on by the amazing Jeffry

The Hide in Jumeirah Al Qasr at Madinat Jumeirah is a handsome, rustic looking meatery and bar which skirts between fine and casual dining. Its interior is classic New York chic, classic Chicago mob, classic American steakhouse. The veranda boasts one of the best views of the Burj Al Arab and is THE place to have dinner at this time of year. The food is equally impressive, with in-house aged meat cooked by people who clearly understand meat. My flank steak was done perfectly. Service is 5-star Jumeirah. Worth a detour.

Waste NOT. Want NOT.

I pretty much agree with the vast majority of other reviews - go for the dessert.

Took the wife and kids here tonight as I have been dying to try their Apple Pie. Ordered the kids grilled chicken with fries and the mac n' cheese. Both we at or below average. I get it that they are kids meals and kids really don't focus too much on flavor, but if I am pay ok ng a fair price for something, I woukd like to have them experience better.

For the adults, we had a artichoke dip to start and then for the main ordered filet, short rib potatoes, grilled carrots, and sweet potato. The starter was ok - found it strange to have raw veg to dip into the artichoke dip, but it was ok. Used some of the delicious bread brought to the table to appease our taste. For the mains, I can't say much. The filet was ok - cooked properly and tender, but lacked any flavor that would make it memorable. Much the sam3 for the sides. The short rib potatoes were by far the best side we tried.

The real story is the dessert. If we come again, we will eat elsewhere and just pass by for dessert. Had the Apple Pie (of course) and the s'mores. Both we really fantastic.

The restaurant was great, service a little frustrating, but we made it through and enjoyed the holiday amenities available at the hotel. Always love going to Al Qasr.

I think the restaurant has great potential, but needs a little bit more work.

Booked to The Hide, not realising it was formerly MJ's Steakhouse which we had previously visited and thoroughly enjoyed. Though the same location a lot has changed.

The food was very good, would highly recommend the OMG onion rings to start.

The steak ordered was cooked well but, for some reason, was served pre-cut, very strange for a steak restaurant. Another let down were the inadequate steak knives, there are apparently no serrated steak knives in the entire restaurant and the knives given simply weren't sharp enough. Quite a disappointment from formerly being presented a steak knife box to make your selection at MJ's.

The ambience was interesting, interesting music and interesting that it was 9:30pm on a Wednesday and there was countless tables filled with children.
When asking the waiter the size of a starter (I wanted to see if it was enough for me to have as a main) I was met with the reply 'it's not too big, not too small, it's perfect size)... perfect size for what? A starter? A main? Very vague in their descriptions of the food.

Needless to say, it was overall a pleasant experience, I would only suggest to sharpen the knives and leave the steak for us to cut!
In Search Of Brunch
Cool spot for quality meat & wine. To my knowledge its the only restaurant that ages their meat in-house. We tried the aged bone in rib-eye (awesome), tenderloin, and flank steak (asian style- and unusually tender for this cut). For wine you must go for the malbec- smooth & delicious.
EatingwithN
A nice restaurant!
Indulge in complementary bread and butter which is extremely fresh you would definitely ask for more.
Then start your dinner with steak tartare followed by the crab salad.
Have the French bird or the flat iron steak for your main course or the manwich if you are up for a challenge.
End your dinner with Campfire smores.
Service is good, prices are reasonable and atmosphere in nice.
Overall experience: 8/10

Worst dining experience ever. At first glance you will be astonished by the nice decoration and the presentation of the food, but when it comes to service and taste, i will not recommend to anyone.
Palates & Passports
I'm always on the lookout for new places and was super excited to try with The Hide with another foodie friend, based on word of mouth, however my experience was disappointing.

Here are some notes from dinner:

The soft shell crab salad- crab didnt taste fresh and was absolutely bland. We both only took two bites- mentioned to server wasnt good and he was just like oh.

Surf and turf gnocchi was fine.

My lamb was fine. The sides- sweet potato mash absolutely no flavor. 2 or 3 pieces of marshmallow on top, not melted all. Large undercooked chunks throughout. So again, didnt really eat.

The mash potatoes, we put almost an entire vat of butter in it to try to give some flavour.

My friend's flank steak was ok, came highly recommended by server but she said underwhelming.

We hoped dessert would redeem. Had the chocolate souffle. Again, just bland with no real flavor and inconsistent consistency. The hint of chile- not there, etc.

Perhaps it was an off night, would maybe consider trying again but Dubai has many great places to offer.
Meera
The lobster roll was the best I ever have. The new York sirloin was juicy and tasty. The onion rings and the dessert were average. The Atmosphere and the service was good. Liked the location of the restaurant a lot.
Eat, Drink, Repeat
I'm always on the lookout for something new so we came here. We started off by having a few drinks at the bar.
I was quite impressed with the selection of beers and I nearly managed to make it through their beer selection.
We soon got to our table and decided to go for the main course as the starters didn't look too appetizing.
For a steakhouse I was truly disappointed that they didn't offer Ribs.
Anyway I decided to go with the Spanish Dry aged Beef steak which was pretty good. We also tried the Beef cheeks which was really nice. The omg onion rings & Idaho fries were really good too.

I was really disappointed with the desserts. It didn't seem like the restaurant had put any effort into creating anything special here. We tried 2 different types but they weren't that great and the chocolate one was a flop.

I do hope to be back just to try the Manwich which has been on my radar for a while. But I also hope they can introduce some Ribs & also sort out their desserts.

As all majority of my weekends go I kickoff with a nice dinner to mark the coming 2 days of fun and relaxation.
However this weekend was a little more difficult since my buddy was tagging along and he keeps hankering for steaks, so after much debate we settled on the hide (since its in close proximity to our houses).

I made the reservation and revised it since I had an errant to run, the staff taking the reservation were so sweet and nice I felt like inviting them to dinner.

Anyways, we arrived at the resturant ready to carve up a diety,
We chose the booth which is lined with plush leather (thank you to the lovely cow who comforted my behind while I devoured possibly one of ur descendants.

I ordered the Rib Eye as usual, it was 300 grams of amazing-ness, I chose not to pair it with any sauce as I like the natural flavours of the meat and the salt rubbed into the meat just prior to cooking.

My friend decided to order a striploin, which I must add was very good and made me feel jealous as his steak was bigger looking than mine.

We got our orders with fries and 1 sparkling water and 1 virgin mojito; the fries were good as expected ( no rocket science there) but their mojito was perfect, only thing missing was the hot sun and the beach.

We were served by the manager since our designated server was busy with a large party that was constantly demanding his attention, he recommended we get our steaks medium and without blood, he delivered and we love the way it was prepared. The steaks were seared perfectly to lock in the juices and the salt/rub into the steak to give off this flavour that would make all your troubles float away with every bite!

Bad things - the cutlery is rubbish, blunt knives and forks that really don't look like what you would expect.

Will visit them again and hope they keep it tasty

Here you can have a great steak at very reasonable price with outstanding service. The bread basket alone is a winner and the Korean sirloin steak is a must.
Captainrolio
Came here last night. Decor has some nice American touches. The sourdough bread served at the table is a flavorless and lazy touch to appease big carb eaters. The meat in both our mains were tender and done to perfection however my rack of lamb was missing some key flavors and required more balance and complexity. My partner ordered the flat iron steak with Korean spices - that was unexpectedly delicious. Our apple crumble for two was fit to serve 4. A bit doughy and in need of more cooking , a nice try. Even eateries in the states don't always get this one right
Dea Samia
Really great place with a nice ambience and great service. We ordered almost all of the "try me" items on the menu and they were delicious. Onion rings and the Gnocchi were good but the manwich was just incredible. The meat was so tender and the flavors were perfect. Wish we had more room for dessert.
One Bite At A Time
Went for dinner to The Hide for the second time. The first time was definitely not s good experience but we decided to give it another try and we were not disappointed. The meat is on point! The starters are good and the service is very attentive. By ordering any steak you will be satisfied but our favorite is the flat iron steak. We ordered medium rare and it was just what we were craving, they add a little ax unread of a knife to spice things up. Their petit tenderloin is also good and their sides are satisfying. We will be back The Hide!

To me, this is one of those places where they just hook you in with the photography but the actual food experience is not quite the same. Not saying that's a bad or good thing, it just sets a certain expectation that can be a letdown.
The restaurant is a typical bustling hotel restaurant with an attentive and friendly staff. Unfortunately for us, most aged cuts were unavailable on a Thursday night and so we ended up ordering your basic Ribeye and Sirloin which were juicy but a bit on the salty side. The sides were flavourful but in the case of the steamed veggies, the garlic was just too intense. Can't say the same about the onion rings because they were a bit bland.
The highlight for my taste buds was the bread, butter and salt. I would go back for it!
Overall the food was good but I'm not sure it was value for my money.

THE HIDE- a modern American meatery (If it's not a word, it should be) in Dubai's most impressive setting: with stunning views of the Burj Al Arab from the terrace, it is a perfect pick to bask in ambiance and savor creative offerings by renowned British Chef Nick Cuadrado. The indoor space oozes charm, carving a personality with rustic settings of vintage glass, filament light bulbs, leather booths, knifes as art accents, wood panels, stone, and slate finishes.

My rating is mainly for service, ambiance & the meat (and this amazing bread they serve you, as soon as you are seated.. it is to DIE for !) Didn't really enjoy the dessert or appetizers much. Here's what I ordered:

1) Hanger streak with caramelized onions and a sunny side up duck egg: Lovely succulent chunks of meat cooked to medium well worked so well the runny egg. I highly recommend this one!

2) Lobster roll: Perfectly toasted bread filled with generous chunks of lobster. But... TOO MUCH sauce and that lettuce seemed out of place (I have a bias towards the lobster roll at burger & lobster, it is somewhat difficult for me to appreciate other lobster rolls now).

3) Onion rings topped with confit duck : they were a bit soggy and I didn't particularly enjoy the lingering aftertaste of the sauce which the duck was cooked in, although the duck itself was cooked fairly well.

4) The souffle : it was just OK. What I was really craving was a warm fudgy cake (or brownie or a chocolate fondant).. so was slightly disappointed not to find anything like that on the menu.

We were a party of 8 who wanted to dine at MJ's which was the restaurant before it became the Hide. As we always like to try new restaurants in Dubai we decided to book a table there. The menu was very odd as there is not one healthy option on the menu, even the 2 salads on their menu are rather on the heavy end. From the very beginning the service was extremely slow we had to ask twice if we can actually place our orders. When the food finally arrived at our table after almost 1 hour of wait 2 steaks were cooked the wrong way which caused two to wait again for quite a while to get their meal. I had the flat iron steak which was served cold, full of fat and veins when I asked the waiter about the quality of the meat they served he told me because it is wagyu it has to be like that. Having had wagyu many times before I felt I was taken for a fool. 2 more of my friends had the exact same meal and we're just as disappointed, but ended up eating it because they were so hungry. All of us concluded that this was the last time we would spend our evening there. The restaurant is also priced like a fine dining restaurant but does not keep up to the promise, the service was constantly slow even on the drinks even though it was half empty. Shame that MJ's was replaced with a place like the Hide, as it definitely can't keep up of the high standard of the other restaurants at Al Qasr hotel

Love this place, amazing steaks cooked well, aged to perfection. Good for a a couple or group as they have sharing platters, also the best part is they accept Entertainer Vouchers...by one steak get one free baby! Service was great as well from Johnson, knows his stuff, we went with a wine connoisseur so that was taken care of...they had the good stuff. Highly recommended, but as always in Dubai, make sure you warm up your credit card beforehand (only reason why I didn't give it a 5).

We have visited the Hide on numerous occasions and is our stand out favourite in Dubai!

We have been for dinner and brunch and both are fantastic. If you like meat this is the place for you! On my first visit I tried the manwich, try it if you're hungry, it was massive and packed with meat and flavour! We love the cheese and spinach dip, it's rich and delicious. The steaks are excellent quality and flavour with a wide selection of sauces . For the less meaty out there, the lobster roll is very tasty, it is overflowing with lobster and accompanied with a generous portion of fries. The wine list is extensive and there is a sommelier to advise on what is best for your meal selection.

The food quality on the brunch is not compromised and the a la carte accompanied with sharing platters was great. They have excellent cocktail selection and sparkling wine is offered in the standard package. They were very efficient at keeping us topped up too!

The service is outstanding, it's casual whilst efficient and knowledgeable. On our first visit we also received a 100dhs voucher and a Polaroid photo of ourselves to remember the experience.

With several recommendations including Time Out Dubai, my friend and I visited the Hide with high hopes. Unfortunately, this place is probably one of the worst steakhouses we've visited. The only things to praise: 1) quiet, calm ambience 2) battered fries 3) the friendly hostess and bartender. Let's get back to the disappointments: 1) unimpressive flavors for the burger and the dry aged meat - we weren't even able to finish our plates it was so bad 2) couldn't order the famous Manwich because of a lack of ingredients in the kitchen 3) servers didn't have even basic knowledge of meat and couldn't answer the simplest questions about aging time or meat cuts 4) extremely overpriced for such poor food. We wouldn't return there nor recommend this venue to anyone based on the food.
Food is decent, service is good. The catch is the cost of the alcholol. This the only venue to my knowldege which sell half of the wine glass for the price of full glass of wine, so you end up paying a bottle of wine that cost 50AED in a store 450AED ie nine times more.
Came here for their Saturday's brunch special.

Ordered: 1- Rabbit and parmesan fritters.
2- Hot artichoke dips with four cheese.
3- the flat iron steak ( Korean marinade)
4- the tri tip burger.

Food was amazing and staff were ever so friendly and helpful.

Really a nice place to have food+!

With Sprezzatura

Having had such a wonderful time at Hide a few weeks previously, when an Entertainer voucher popped up for buy one, get one free deal for the Friday brunch (as well as this highly supportive review), I knew where I wanted to spend my birthday brunch! Look, I think it’s well established we like to brunch and when an ala carte opportunity presents itself, well, we’re usually going to take advantage.

I was waiting so long to experience the meat at the hide, and unfortunately the dining in experience was not as good as expected.
First the atmosphere itself is cold, nothing special, you can not really understand what they were looking for from a visual merchandising point of you.
The interior is kind of industrial - bistro styled and the outside terrace is very normal, white wall, grey chairs, nothing exceptional.
The menu itself is not user friendly, we have spent almost 45 minutes looking at the menu and trying to understand.
For a meat eatery, the should have added a description of each cuts to make the customer understand the differences and depends on what he is looking for he can finalize his choice.
Unfortunately, the descriptions were missing and the staff was too busy to explain as they were trying to up sell only.
We were 5 seating in our table and we were very angry as the waiter was serving us the water every 5 minutes.
We could understand that his main goal was to make us drink water to order more bottle, however some of us were drinking steel water and others sparkling one, he ended up mixing both in our glass without letting us do it ourselves.
The Marshmallow dessert was very good and make it up for the rest.
Very ordinary dining in experience.
✨Fabulous✨In✨Dubai✨
I was really looking forward to visiting The Hide. Unfortunately the experience didn't live up to the expectation. The service was slow, the menu nothing spectacular and the ambience just ok. We went for dinner on a Thursday night and were a group of 7 seated outside. Starting with the menu I can safely say that every one of the guests on our table was starring at it for quite a long time unable to really focus on anything - way too busy. Once you focus you realise it is essentially made up of a few specific cuts of beef (with a minimum cut of 300g) all dependent on what meat is available on the day, fixed cuts of steak, some limited starters and salads, some off cuts and then sides and sauces. For the vegetarians the menu is made up of 2 dishes all which are not that fabulous unfortunately. We each ordered different steaks, a burger and a whole lot of sides. No one was particularly blown away. We skipped on the starters and went for desserts instead - the only one worth trying again is the Smores. Don't bother with the creme brûlée (didn't crack and the banana underneath ruined the whole thing). Overall a very ordinary experience unfortunately.

Meatspectations much?

What I love about themed brunches is that it they take it to extremes. I love extremes. I am a black or white person with no grey area in between. More often than none, I make exceptions and delve into the grey area when food is concerned but that’s about it. The brunch scene in Dubai is a bit overstated and spending AED 1200 for two people for a meal that you wouldn’t even get to try quarter of the dishes has become the norm. Having been to a couple of brunches where I most definitely over paid, I had decided a while ago that this is not my cup of tea. I would rather pay that kind of money and enjoy five courses in a relaxed setting than pay a crazy sum to be seated with loud strangers. Not my idea of fun on a relaxed Friday afternoon.

For detailed review of the Meatopia brunch click on the link to the blog

http://girl-eats-world-food.blogspot.com/2016/03/meatspectations-much-head-out-of-hide_20.html
Mahi Blog
Under the cooking adventures of British Chef Nick Cuadrado this total premier meat experience eatery has relaunched last month. Team MahiBlog was invited and had great expectations for best meat cuts. We reached a bit late and found whole venue cram-packed and over brimming with fashionistas, food bloggers and people who are just passionate about great food and good social meet-ups.

On tonight's hungry wolf prowl, Der Volfe 🐺 MAc 😎 treats you to the newest American grill and steakhouse, @thehidedubai at Al Qasr Hotel.
Built on the remnants of the iconic MJ Steakhouse, The Hide boasts fancy meat cuts. Everything from sirloin to Ribeye to Lamb racks, it is all there. if you can fantasize about it ...they can serve it 😜.
You pretty much realize what you've gotten yourself into the moment you see that giant horned bull skull and the giant carcass aging behind it 😜 ....displayed in a glass case of pure carnivore pleasure (or horror if vegan

Unfortunately however, the cuts, and especially the highly anticipated aged cuts were slightly disappointing. Despite the several types of aging that involves cuts and methods from all around the world, they were infinitely chewy 😑 even though I asked for a medium done steak.

I recommend staying away from the aged cuts and sticking to the normal cuts.
In all do fairness however, the regular cuts do come perfectly seasoned and with a nice crunchy crust at the top 😍. It really tickles your taste buds. However. ..it doesn't strike me as "wow"

The drinks were average. ..nothing special. The appetizers were average as well . The most interesting was the complementary bread at start. The right amount of butteriness to the crust.

And finally. ..and #machighlyrecommends the S'mores 😍

It is diabetes in a jar with the modern twist of peanut butter brittle and ice cream. Interesting take but actually works well.

Oh...and #macsshoutout to our ultra friendly waiter "Igor" who wouldn't sit still when he saw my unfinished steak and wouldn't leave me until I feel satisfied with the meat. He actually replaced the Steak for me 😊😊. God bless him 🙏.

#macsays average Steaks that are countered with fast friendly service and superb ambience and stellar desserts 😄

I am extremely disappointed with the reservation agent Eugene who made a reservation for me. It was my Director's Wedding anniversary held on 10 March and I clearly mentioned that please can you do something special for them on the table. I was promised a complimentary cake & a romantic setup on the table.
However, when she went there she noticed that there were just few petals haphazardly placed & she also didn't get any compliment cake or pastry.

I thought of just calling to mention that to the reservation team today and coincidentally Euguene answered and after I stated the incident instead of apologizing, he hung up on me.

Very very disappointed with the restaurant reservation team.. This kind of service is not expected out of a 5 star hotel..
The Hide brunch is an unbelievable experience! The variety of food is great and the portions are perfect for sharing. For the mains you have the choice of an individual meal or a meal to share. Although we got individual meals it looked like the mains to share were huge! The dessert was the best part of the meal. I will definitely go back there.

I love the ambience of the place. It is also one of the few dines that serves dry aged meat in Dubai!
I insisted on trying the 60 day dry aged steak even though it is huge in size and not customizable which is a dissapointment.

The gnocchi starter was perfect. Except for the dry overcooked jumbo shrimp. Meat was perfectly cooked! The steak cooked to perfection as well. However, it did not have that beefy butter flavor from aging. The tenderness was on spot though.
The onion rings. Although it is not as crispy as i like them to be i actually liked it because it was combined with burratta. The burratta cheese deserves a culinary innovation award.
Lastly i was looking forward to the souffle but it is what let my rating down majorly. It was dry and overcooked not how a soufflé should be served. This reflects non mediocre but even bad skills in the kitchen.

Extraordinary food and nice ambience , never a fan of raw meat but their beef tartar is a must try , to mention the braised beef cheek absolutely melted in the mouth! Will surely be visiting again 👌🏻

Food is good - meat lovers paradise! Loved the beef tartare and chicken on waffles. For vegetarians - don't despair - there is good news - if you ask, they have a separate vegetarian menu. Ambiance wise - love the high ceilings and the industrial/modern vibe - they have a nice outdoor seating which I suggest you make the most off while the weather is good. Service is good - and they are great at suggestions based on what you are looking for. They have a well stocked bar.

Though it was our first visit to this incarnation of this steakhouse we had been to its predecessor (MJ's I think it was called). Overall I think that The Hide is a big improvement over its predecessor. Its decor does credit to what it is; friendly staff, and a good vibe, though perhaps a little bit loud if its a special occasion you're celebrating.

The steak (yes the tenderloin!) was perfect. Mine done a perfect medium. Sides of fries and veggies were good... though the sweet potato mash with marshmallows was rather unpleasant. Presentation of the food is great. And the bread and butter is worthy of mention... super. Dessert was the Campfire Smores, an interesting combination of cookie, icecream, dolce de leche and roasted marshmallows. Sweet!

I've said that the staff are friendly, and it made up for not being able to have alcohol-free peppercorn sauce for the steak. The alternative offered to us was a brilliant mushroom sauce. So that initial disappointment evaporated quickly. And the promise that it will be available in future if we call ahead and request it, was also an appreciated gesture.

I loved this place! Great ambiance and super friendly staff! The food was great if you are into that sort of cuisine, and we had the meatopia brunch which was unbelievable! Very filling but so worth it!

Tried the brunch at the hide yesterday. Food was very good quality and the portion sizes were huge. Drinks selection was good. Will return again for sure.

I would agree with other reviewers on the service and atmosphere, the Hide is generally a well appointed eatery in a luxury setting that is Al Qasr. The music got a little too loud after 8pm and spoilt the "romantic" element as we couldn't have a peaceful conversation, but both our steaks and sides were quite good. I enjoyed a gentle spice of kimchi alongside my flat iron. Veggies and gratin were beautifully done. The apple pie to share was very juicy but with a massive amount of crust. I would recommend the place but probably a one off experience for me.

More than just a fancy steak and chips joint, The Hide will wow everything from your mind to your tastebuds. This new restaurant offers effortless concept dining in the heart of the Souq Madinat complex. Entering The Hide, you might be forgiven for thinking it’s a film set. I could imagine mafia mobsters, gangsters and the like sliding into the red leather booths and ordering cocktails. The Hide is warmly lit, with heavy accents on wood, leather and stone. There’s a bar, serving some home made liquours, and a window onto the kitchen offers a tantalising glimpse of the magic.

Enjoyed everything we ordered except the kimchi that came with my flat iron steak, not sure if it was a good combination. Ordered the steak medium well but although it came out well done I was surprised how tender the meat was, loved the sweet smoky flavour it had and the surf and turf gnocchi was amazing. There was a mix up with the beverages, I think the problem here is there are too many servers hovering at one table hence the confusion but best thing about it was we were given free dessert (smores) which was just WOW. Had I not been super full from my mains I would have ate it all, was a heavenly sweet gooey mess in a good way!

The Hide is a place where cows go, thinking they are safe from people like Chef Nick Cuadrado and his kitchen team. It is also a new steak restaurant in Al Qasr Hotel where the old MJ’s used to be. They have described themselves as a Meatery and claim to be a total premier meat experience. I almost didn’t make a reservation based purely on that fact alone. I told the Serb, who was, of course, delighted at the thought of a Meatery, that if the manager was wearing a Lady Gaga meat dress, we were going home immediately.
Delicious Dubai
A much needed addition to the Dubai food scene. Laid back yet high standards and fabulous food and not extortionately prices, especially for a Meat restaurant. The outdoor terrace is pure bliss and very elegant.
It's not often I go to a restaurant and think that I'll go back particularly given the constant new options to try in Dubai, but I'll definitely go back here!
The food was also delicious and very satisfying!

Do you want a place to enjoy different cuts of beef? then this is the place to be it has all kinds of them from 20days aged to 4 months aged and the sides is just 😘amazing ... The ambience 👌superb I really enjoyed my time 😄

Nice ambience. Good food. Good steak. Good drinks. Fantastic Bloody Mary's. Genuine service, which is oh so rare in Dubai. Will definitely be back!

This place has been all over the media for some time and has built up a reputation for hearty food and a trendy atmosphere. It certainly lives up to the latter with an inviting interior and a knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff. Face-brick walls and red leather certainly create a feeling of that New York eatery that they are going for here. Our waiter was confident and charismatic and had a number of honest suggestions to make about the menu. He's tried a few of the dishes himself which is a bonus. At times, I felt he was a little too comfortable, perhaps crossing the line between friendly and familiar customer service and being too complacent about serving us professionally. He also took ages to bring us our bill, let us pay and then the change took a while too. That is quite typical of Dubai in general, though.

Now, the food. Disappointed. I had visions of plates of juicy meat, cooked with love and oozing deliciousness. Unfortunately, this was not the case around the whole table. The lamb and lobster roll were just plain small. I doubt my lamb came up to even 200g with the bone. The rib eye steaks were slapped on a plate and left to fend for themselves. Thank goodness for the sides. The gratin with pulled beef brisket was a show stopper and the onion rings were a table favourite too.

Overall, it was an enjoyable night, but I wouldn't return for the food.

Used to be the MJs, was what I was told when I first entered with a friend. The very idea of an experience at Al Qasr raises your expectations and the bar is already high!! This visit was apparently an official business lunch! (So didn't feel much of a pinch 😉).
We took the outdoor seating, since the weather was amazing and seemed perfect to enjoy some steaks in an outdoor ambiance. The place is done well, but does not intrigue you to keep looking around. Service is indeed classy and quite good. After being seated comfortably, we got into the specifics of ordering the food. The menu is different & a bit difficult to follow. Made it a point to skip the soup and Entree to focus on the steak. I wanted a fillet mignon, but honestly could not see that written simply enough to understand. Ordered the Hanger steak that went under forgotten cuts! Ordered medium to well & Caramelized onions and with pepper sauce. Absolutely relished it!!
Spent quite a bit of time talking and discussing business, so did not have the opportunity to explore much around the place.
Overall the experience was good and recommended to do for an occasion. I don't know if I would go back, but the place is indeed recommended to those who haven't been there yet!

Cheers,
Anoopz
Was invited to the relaunch of The Hide last week and had no idea on what to expect. I arrived early as I tend to like taking the whole scenery in and getting good pictures before the venue is cram-packed with people and I'm lucky that I did, because boy was it full!

By 7, the place was over brimming with fashionistas, food bloggers and people who are just passionate about stuffing their faces with good food. First of all, I must say that the staff are just the friendliest staff I think I've ever come across. Each a professional at what they're doing, they go above and beyond by ensuring that customers are well taken care of--even if there's so many people you could hardly take a step.

Unfortunately, I didn't get to try all the food I wanted to. But I did get to have their tartare (okay...maybe 6..), the yellow fin tuna, the fried chicken and waffle and the rabbit croquettes. Although I'm not one for raw meat, the tartare was excellent--it tasted like butter on a crunchy crouton. Loved it.

The waffle and fried chicken were not my favorite because I simply do not enjoy the pairing of such foods together, but my husband loved it. The rabbit croquettes were enjoyable, I'd never had rabbit before.

All in all, I feel I may not have gotten the full Hide experience, I'm thinking of going again soon to maybe actually get to try their meats.

The Hide is Dubai’s first Meatery, it opened in September last year. I was invited to the launch party of The Hide last week. . The Hide is an American Steakhouse, it is located at Al Qasr, Madinat Jumeirah. It is fronted by popular British Chef Nick Cuadrado. The ambience is modern yet rustic. It has a friendly and welcoming American vibe. It will remind you of the cool meateries in cities like New York and Los Angeles. The Hide is very spacious with indoor and outdoor seating. The leather seating and dim lighting gives it a perfect look.

I love the decor! I reserved a spot outside for a special lunch. When we 1st got there, the hostess didn't know where to seat us and fumbled around a little. However, we were finally served by a waitress from Georgia (never got her name). The food was delightful! Steaks are marvelous and yummy! It was such a nice afternoon and nice weather. The suggestions by Georgia were great and right on the spot. We had started to main courses and dessert!! Smores! Yummmm. Thank you Georgia for making it such an amazing experience!

Really wasn't sure what to give this restaurant rating wise. Needless to say I was very excited. I love and miss American style meateries and was expecting great things. I think they got the decor about 75 percent right. Some of it was still a little bit of that Dubai grandiose that doesn't fit. The seating is comfortable although the gargantuan leather chairs are a little odd. The lighting is funky and cool. The bar is nice and hip and all the waiters are dressed in preppy chic shirt and tie/suspender combos adding an extra touch of urban. There is an outdoor seating area that looked really nice but was a little empty so chose to sit inside.

The food was really interesting. I loved the menu choices. The fact that they had hanger, flank, and flat iron on the menu is awesome. These are some of the most flavorful cuts that are usually cut out for the sake of the pretentious filets and whatnot. I personally couldn't resist the urge for the USDA Prime 300g ribeye, especially knowing that my wife would go for the flat iron steak so that I could try both. I specifically asked for my steak medium rare also adding that I'd like a nice crispy sear on the outside, dark pink in the very center. However, the steak they brought me was nothing such. It couldn't be, it was way too thin (about half an inch) to ever get a sear on the outside without overcooking the inside. Such a shame. I was expecting a nice thick slab of ribeye.
The Flat iron steak saved the day though. It was exquisite, immense flavor, well seasoned in korean spices (like a good Galbi) and had the right amount of bite. I wish I could have taken my order back and replaced it with this. I will definitely be going back for it as well as a try at the hanger steak.

To my extreme amusement, they happened to have my favorite wine in the whole world there. Gnarly Head Old Vine Zin. Smooth and incredibly flavorful fruit, its the one wine and just can't get enough of. Had 3 glasses and it turned out to be a great evening!

Every Pinterest addict's dream, I couldn't order the DIY steak tartare fast enough without choking on my own tongue. But if I was indeed in the mood to choke on a tongue, I wouldn't have to booty call a Frenchman. I'd just light some candles and invite the menu's crispy lamb tongue for a romantic night in. The flaming Bloody Mary doesn't come on fire, but is prepared with bell pepper infused vodka. So there's that. The campfire s'more is your fondest childhood memories, but on steroids! At the end of it all, you sail back to your car in a Madinat boat. Since walking is so last century.

We had great steaks and service. This is one of new steakhouses in Dubai that is immediately puts its self at the top of the list when it comes to steakhouses in Dubai. Try the dry beef tenderloin it is the best we had.

Dubai's food scene is changing massively with new restaurants opening every other day it is hard to say which one is truly here to stay. Only time can tell us weather one restaurant is actually good or just another hype. But why leave everything on time when I can try quite a few of them and judge weather this is really extraordinary.

On my recent invite to try the new Hide, in the beautiful Al-Qasr hotel I was thrilled to try some of their classic meats or should I say meat which is imported from Spain and dry aged here. After a long week here I was chilling in the outdoor area of this restaurant. I was surprised at first since the inside was exceptional and the outdoor was very basic or old. Not a great eyesight but in this climate I prefer the spacious outdoor.

We were served with some butterly and addictive Sourdough bread which were perfect. For the drinks I would suggest you definitely try the Date Shake, it is heavy on the stomach but something which shouldn't be missed. The Passionfruit juice was too sweet for my liking and I would prefer it to be sour. Our friendly and extremely pleasing server Jonathan helped us decide on the starters and main course. Starters began with Crunchy Onion Rings and with mayonnaise they were more palatable. Beef Tartar was a very cleaverly constructed dish since you have to mix it up and have it the way you like it, Marvelous. I didn't really enjoyed the Quinoa Salad since a few ingredients like the mango hardly came across as you have the salad.

Our two mains were something I was really looking forward to like Waffle Chicken and Hanger Steak. Waffel Chicken was super duper soft and the waffle added the extra crunch to it, flavourfull and adoring. The Hanger Steak with egg was very unique compared to the usual steaks we get but the meat was slightly chewy.

Smores and Soufflé were very well executed and leave you feeling extremely happy about the sweet intake. Would love to try more of their desserts sometime soon. I will surely be visiting this restaurant again and can't wait to try the other dishes as well.

Our friendly host took us through the menu, giving her suggestions with every dish. We finally settled down for a Hot Artichoke Dip and Lobster Roll. From their meat market, we chose The Hide “Manwich”, and a Tenderloin from their dry aged beef selection.

The beef from The Hide is specially brought in from Spain, and they specialize in dry aged beef. This involves hanging the beef to dry for up to 14-21 days.

The Artichoke Dip is a must try for someone who’s a fan of cheese. Though the flavours aren’t quite distinct, the menu said it included four types of cheese. I liked the idea of dipping vegetables into it, sort of like a cheese fondue.

Sadly, the Lobster Roll was forgettable, which made me question why I even ordered it in the first place. Same could be said for the “Manwich”. A perfect example of “don’t judge a book by it’s cover”. The pictures online looked great, but it didn’t taste the same. Made with smoked brisket, Iberico beef, dill pickles and two eggs sunny side up, it unfortunately did not taste good, even with these ingredients. Also included was a bun with a generous layer of vintage red cheddar.

Another recommended dish would be the dry aged beef. The tenderloin was a good portion of beef that complemented the Montreal sauce. Also served was some salad to go with the meat.

Like all good endings, our dessert was comforting. Campfire S’mores would be a perfect sweet for those who like marshmallows and peanut butter. I wish I could have had another helping, as I couldn’t take my hands off it. The dulce du leche, peanut butter cookies and burnt marshmallows would be a perfect sweet to have on a cold day in. We also ordered the Cheesecake Soufflé which was served warm, on the side was a small scoop of sour cherry ice cream. A nice way to play with the palate by providing sweet-tangy and hot-cold flavours.

Being a steakhouse, it looks like The Hide takes it very seriously and only sticks to what it stands for. Order their steaks, and you will be more than satisfied.

The latest steakhouse to join the Dubai dining scene is none other than The Hide. And what a wonderful place to open up! Al Qasr, which means ‘the palace’, is beautifully decorated. With low chandeliers and all things gold, The Hide kind of stood out of place. Although, locating the restaurant was pretty easy and we were ushered in immediately. Walk in, and you can almost feel like you’re no longer under the dim gold lights of Al Qasr. The interiors include a lot of leather, and being a steakhouse, the menu is meaty, so obviously not a place recommended to vegetarians.

Was at the hide for lunch couple days back.. The restaurant had an elegant look to it with a nice outdoor seating area. Upon being seated we were offered their freshly baked hot breads (doughnut shaped); which were up to the mark. To start with my partner and I ordered a DYO tartare which was very elegantly served with some nice condiments on the side; the dish was good; would have been better if the egg yolk was slightly runny which was lacking here. For the mains I opted for the Korean marinaded steak with a side of kimchi which was delicious and cooked to a perfect medium rare .. my partner ordered the salmon which again was cooked beautifully and had that nice crispy skin that you would expect from the dish. For dessert we opted for the freshly baked pumpkin pie served with a vanilla sauce which was mind blowing.. it was served hot out of the oven with a nice crisp base and a lite velvety vanilla cream. overall experience was fantastic .. great job will definitely go back there again not only for the food but also for the excellent service..

For perfectly seasoned meat that falls of the bones there's nowhere to Hide. Excellent service, staff are very friendly, ambiance of the restaurant is really nice, specially seating outside. Full page menu gives you everything you need with a huge rage of wines selection on the back page. All excellent choices are perfect!

The new addition to Jumeriah Madinant area. Hide is awesome fine dinning American restaurant. The staff are very friendly, but must say service from kitchen is a bit slow.
We jumped straight to mains, the sourdough bread with smoked salt and French butter was a great start.
The half French bird, lobster roll and man sandwich. All of which were really good. The one let down was the the potato side with pull beef. It's basically a very intensely rich version of dauphinois(potato bake), with tons of butter and cream.
Also we were recommend to try the old fashioned drinks, from 30's; 50's and 60's. Not at all to my taste as they were too dry and not enough sugar. Struggled even to get through one tumbler of it.

But awesome restaurant indeed:)

Please bring back MJ'S STEAKHOUSE!!!

Very disappointing experience. We went to the hide with the hope that the food would be up to the high standards that MJ's was known for. Alas, it was not to be. Only good thing about the experience were the greeting staff. The octopus starter was extremely bland. I had the tenderloin which, for 700 dhs, was the worse steak I have had in a restaurant. Poor quality meat, tough even though medium rare, and no flavour. Sides were also poor; even the béarnaise sauce was terrible. My Mrs had the halibut fish steak, which she said was bland and flavourless. Only thing we enjoyed was the cheesecake soufflé.

Would not recommend under any circumstances. Overall, a very disappointing experience in comparison to the fantastic restaurant which this place cannibalised.

Please bring it back.

Its a brand new restaurant, we visited it yesterday and our review is as follow:
1. The seats are not comfortable.
2. The cashiers are located exactly behind the seats which is annoying.
3. The Decoration is beautiful but the atmosphere was noisy especially the music.
4. The food is very delicious and well presented.
5. Recommended starter "Hot Artichoke Dip".
6. recommended main dish "Dry aged beed tenderloin".
7. DONT miss the the cheesecake souffle.
8. The cost was above average, it cost AED 1000 for two persons.
9. For service you should ask for Jerom, who will help you to order.

The Travel guide review team.
thetravelguideonline.com/

A new restaurant which has opened up in Dubai in Al Qasr... A very beautiful hotel with a gorgeous approach.... Just a shame about the restaurant! We entered and was seated on a lovely table, the decoration was classic with heavy drapes etc however the music didn't reflect the ambience at all. When a waiter dropped a glass the staff cheered and clapped, not expected from a refined establishment! Thing is the restaurant was trying to be casual but the decor said otherwise....
Now down to the food...I can honestly say the steak was like eating cardboard with no flavour! Truly disappointing as I love steaks and had good expectations of this place. The side dishes were nothing to be desired either. I had the New York strip with the mushroom butter and it was awful. The potato with pulled beef was ok but the onion rings were just dripping in oil! We couldn't even face dessert and decided to grab an ice cream from somewhere else! I'll put these down to teething problems maybe, but a bad start unfortunately!
