Segrato is a cozy Italian restaurant tucked in Souk Madinat Jumeirah. It’s an amazing place with an intimate ambiance and fine food. A perfect spot for a romantic dinner with your significant other. Staff is extremely accommodating. Special thanks to Pradeep who took care of us with his warm hospitality and made sure we have a good time. ❤️💫
It was very nice and the staff are really accomodating especially Pradeeb for the anniversary surprise cake. Also, the receptionist for giving us the romantic setup on our table. We surely will get back here very soon. Cheers!
Pradeep, our server, was super nice. :) Lemon risotto and the pasta with gorgonzola sauce were delicious!
The food was delicious and Prdeep was very kind and friendly
Segreto is ‘secret’ in Italian, and this exquisite Italian restaurant is hidden within an entire private wing of the Madinat Jumeirah complex offering an outstanding dining experience. Since we’re on the topic of secrets, I’ll share three secrets for instantly getting a handle on the authenticity of an Italian restaurant – these are three non-negotiable traits that will have Italians walk out if not met with decor.
A convenient place to have lunch after a fun and tiring tour around Souk Madinat. It is a homey, intimate resto and we did not disappoint ourselves in choosing this place. The staff was very polite and greeted us in, and made sure everything was well with our table and our orders.
I have always loved their food, and Segreto is a sure hit with the family. We will definitely come back when we happen to get around Jumeirah once again.
I and my husband celebrated our anniversary here, and were pleasantly surprised, when Pardeep brought us a wonderful dessert to wrap up the wonderful dinner that we had! For a romantic getaway, this is the place to be! Thank you, Pradeep!
Great place for a romantic date or to chill and grab a drink. They have good selections of wine. Beef carpaccio is my fave. I would give 5/5 for the taste and presentation.
Segreto Italian restaurant in Madinat Jumeira is amazing place with delicious food, good staff and nice view! I especially like fried shrimps and squid as aperitif and lemon risotto with shrimps as main dish. Highly recommend!
The place and the food was amazing but what was way better is the staff’s attitude, they were amazing specially Pradeep he was all smiley and joyful, it was a special event for me as it was an anniversary and he made the night even more special for me the night was so perfect
Pradeep was very very very friendly & provided exceptional service. Not only him but the entire staff is super friendly & nice. Food is also amazing!
risotto with asparagus was delicious! we loved mojito and cosmopolitan coctails. ambiance was very nice and superb service.

Hidden amidst the dreamy waterways and tucked within the summer homes, Segreto is certainly Souk Madinat Jumeirah’s best kept secret. While the name of this restaurant might mean ‘secret’, their AED 150 summer menu definitely doesn’t have to be one! This award-winning Italian restaurant is all set to step out and make its appearance under the Dubai limelight, or should I say sunlight. Segreto has come up with a value oriented 3-course Italian Delights menu priced at just AED 150 per person. This specially created summer menu includes a selection of some of their bestselling dishes across starters, mains and desserts, inspired from different regions of Italy, and will be available until the end of August.
Dubai has many Italian restaurants and Segreto is the best of the lot. Italian translation of Segreto is ‘secret’ and nestled amidst Madinat Jumeirah‘s waterways is the award-winning Italian restaurant Segreto. The modern interiors of Segreto is classy, sophisticated and elegant. The venue is spacious with an indoor and outdoor dining area and it offers panoramic views of the stunning Madinat Jumeirah.
I went few days ago to have dinner at Segreto, the award-winning Italian Restaurant that is nestled in the meandering waterways and summer houses of Souk Madinat Jumeirah. They turned up the seasonal heat with an all-new ‘Italian Delights’ Summer Menu that offers a starter, a main course and a dessert for 150 dhs.
Great place to gather with friends around delicious italian platters..Food was fresh and so tasty.Atmosphere is outstanding and the view is nice specially when its a nice weather to feel the fresh air.
Service excellent and the hostesses were so friendly and smile was drawn on theit faces throughout the time.
We had an awesome dining experience with Segreto or could be the reason for this awesomeness was the company of friends.
The front of house staff are attentive although a smile would be great :)
This is literally a secret & hidden gem ...segreto means secret in Italian & it's literally hidden in the madinat souq as we went searching for the restaurant ! What a lovely surprise ; the menu has a good selection of starters , salads & the regular Italian cuisine. I ordered risotteo & my friend had salmon ...both were outstanding! staff is super friendly & the ambience makes you instantly comfortable. We choose to sit outdoors as the weather is still amazing . Great place to go for Italian food especially with a large grp of friends

shoutout @segretodubai This is my new favorite #italianrestaurant at @soukmadinatjumeirah the fresh produce, fabulous ambiance , warm services and of course amazing food . Perfect for your #weekendindulgence .
Valentines day was such an eventful night over there, perfect time, weather, service and collaboration. Also, great food and good value for money. Perfect decorations and arrangements for special occasion. And Sadeep was not just our waiter but was a person who actually cared about the customers satisfaction and putting a smile on their faces more than anything.
Beautiful restaurant with a cosy outdoor seating. The mushroom risotto is delicious. Our experience was enhanced by warm service of the Stewart serving us - Pradeep. He was kind enough to let us know all the drinks and bar food options which could be coupled with the dinner. All in all - a must go romantic place in Dubai.
We went on Thursday night without reservation. The staff were amazing and nice. We enjoyed the dinner, it is so tasty and beautifully presented. Price is reasonable for a fine dine.Beautiful location.
So we went on a date night and it was worth it .
Reasons for the above statement -
1. The food for an Italian cuisine is well plated and good .
2. We had Tawny Port and was well stored/served
3. We got a table of choice ( we made a reservation though)
4. We were with each other so needed nothing else 🤪
However , they can be more firm on service as I personally feel this place is under rated on zomato . Improving service levels ( in terms of attentiveness , feedback and small gestures) , can take them to a different level .
Well maintained place and groomed staff. One server ( Nepalese I believe ) did come to recommend ( rather upsell) champagne on our anniversary , since we were hopping and driving, We did not prefer the same , rather ordered a Port with food. He disappeared to other tables post that and did not really care (no offence , may be it’s his job to upsell , however care must be taken as the place harbours crowd with special occasions).
We did not expect any freebies since we placed the order till dessert, but did expect a small celebration( I heard jingles on the other side of the place on someone’s birthday)
Decent place .
Average spend-450for two ( untill you are not driving) 😛
Came here after dinner one night because I was craving dessert.
We ended up walking around madinat Jumeirah and I thought this would be a good place to have some real italian tiramisu
Prices are a bit on the high side
Dessert was good
Coffee was good
Staff was very friendly
I would say much about the place but i think its one of the finest simple Italian food , i wish if the menu include pictures and Arabic as well. Calamri was really nice and beef Lazania was delicious too
Very courteous and friendly staff.. it was a very memorable experience and thank you for the wonderful cake and birthday wishes. The food is beautifully presented and delicious
Nice place with tasty food. Pasta was delicious. I like the Caronara pasta. Our waiter Pradip. He is professional in his work. Thanks for outstanding service. Will come for sure.

Oh, the food was really nice. Seafood in this restaurant is 5*. Overall service was good. The atmosphere is nice and cozy. I would recommend ordering a seafood platter.
A place where is a restaurant with a very surprising view inside-Segreto. It was my second time in Dubai and I wanna taste Italian cuisine before I will return to US.
I came in with no reservations and seated table outside with a nice view. Staff was friendly and escorted me to my table and handed the menu. Detailed menu where you can find good dishes.
Jellie came and offered to me a glass of champagne but I refused to, taking a water instead. Then she mentioned a glass of sparkling wine for 35AED only. Drinks are very affordable because of HAppy Hour.
When my friend came, I ask Jelie if are they serving pizza, unfortunately not, instead she recommended homemade Lasagna. It was a superb dish to share. My friend chose for an antipasti when Jellie offered us a mix antipasti to share and it was perfect! We took a bottle of prosecco.
Excellent food and service! We really loved it!
Tranquil atmosphere to enjoy great italian food. Fine dining? Maybe on the cusp of fine dining as the menu is very traditional without the creativity of a refined Italian chef. Overall an enjoyable experience with great tasting food. The simple dishes are done very well.
Located in Madinat Jumeirah but from Al Qasr Hotel side, it is a bit hard to reach if you park in the public parking. I would recommend the free service of the hotel valet.
Seatings are very comfy and the general ambiance of the indoor area is quiet and romantic. Food menu in general is not that vast and specially for vegetarians and Don’t expect to order a pizza in such place.
Waiters are very helpful and smiling, the service was very quick and respected the order chronology. Portions are small in my view and if you are planning to share plates, so be advised.
Prices are on the high side, but after all its in the whole concept of the place.
We were looking for a cozy restaurant with a nice view in Madinat Jumeirah, for our engagement anniversary. we came across this place and gave it a try. Staffs were very friendly and waiter had decent knowledge about their menu. The only downside is that they do not have freshly squeezed juices. Food eventhough there are not much varieties but fresh and tastes like home made food.
And the lovely part is they surprised us with a sweet for our anniversary!!!
Went to this place after an evening of shopping, to try some unadulterated Italian food. Tried the Tagliatelle Al Nero, Calamari Limone, which was just amazing. Suttle and true to the flavors. The Peroni draught was the perfect accompliment after a long evening of shopping. The service was stop on and a lovely evening spent with family
Good ambiance. In the heart of Souq Madinat Jumeirah, Segreto is good restaurant for a couple or a small group of friends. Good wine selection...
Had the grilled praws that were tasty and with perfect cooking time. A place to revisit.
A great place to fine dine. The menu is great... The presentation of food is neat..The food served is amazing. The services is very attentive with all the staff having smile on there faces.. & give you a nice & warm welcome. recommend this place for a date. overall a great experience.
Beautiful place and amazing food. Loved the risotto. The menu is very limited. May be some more dishes can be curated. But overall a great experience.
Tip: Take the gondola ride from Qasr Hotel and enjoy the Venice style night out

Great place and food. The price is OK for the Souq Madinat. The staff is very helpful the only little issue on my side is that the tables are too close one from other and if you got a noise table next too could ruin you night.
Still a great place.
A birthday dinner well spent!
Ambience: I would like to talk about the ambience first, as it is the first thing which attracts you and make you fall in love with the place as soon as you enters the restaurant. Outside you can see spacious and relaxed seating environment with beautiful lighting and surrounded by monumental structures. Inside, it's quite calm and elegant experience with authentic Italian imprints and aura which makes any evening a romantic one! (5)
Food: We ordered Chicken Liver Terrine and Market seafood in tempura as our starter choices! Chicken liver turned out to be delicious and done very well, soft and buttery! I was bit off on the quantity though, with just two pieces in a big plate, but I guess it's the place for which you pay the price! The fried sea food was ok and not great in taste, it can be cooked better as I have had sea food in tempura before!
In main course we ordered homemade sardinian gnocchetti, duck ragout (duck pasta) and mozzarella dry tomato stuffed chicken with grilled asparagus! We loved the chicken the way it was done and filled with balanced spices, cheese and dried tomato! On the other hand, duck pasta didn't go quite well as the taste was bit raw and we couldn't eat it all! (3.5)
Not to forget, the wine we selected was delicious and taste stimulating, we had bio bio merlot organic wine 🍷!
Staff: The lady serving our table was very courteous, polite and always smiling! I am sure for restaurants like this, the service has to be above standards and they maintained it quite well. (5)
Above all, it was a wonderful experience with few taste differences, but it was worth it! Recommend to go there for a beautiful evening with your loved ones to spend some quality time in a calm and serene ambience.
The amazing has an amazing hospitality and ambience. We ordered the shrimps risotto and the chicken and everything was spot on in terms of taste and presentation. I would definitely recommend a visit to this hidden gem in the Madinat.
Exhuding some stylish glamour, we stumbled upon this hidden gem situated in Souk Madinat , the italian restaurant Segreto settled amongst the pathways of the resort. Upon entry, dim lighting and comfortable and warm rustic interiors greeted us,making for quite a romantic set up. The dry aged kettle lamb shank was a weave of tenderness with the meat being so moist, that the meat can easily fall from the bone, each bite being a taste of heaven on your palate, the reason being the lamb is slow cooked deliriously for over a period of 12 hours which explains how well the flavors have been infused in the meat.
Romantic Italian restaurant in Al Qasr/ Madinat Jumeirah.
The restaurant is like a fairytale, where you don't want to leave.
If you get served by Sajeev, you are lucky: he will assist and serve you with lot of passion and enthusiasm.
The choice on the menu is a little limited, for vegetarians the pasta option is only gnocchi, or a risotto.
The food quality is excellent though and the most heavenly Chocolate Lava Cake I have eaten here.
Make sure to visit the bar afterwards, it has an lovely view.
While the only thing disappointing was the fact that we were looking forward to tucking ourselves into a bowl of fresh seafood pasta, upon going there we realised that the menu at the restaurant isn't all the same to what Zomato shows up.
However that being said our server was kind enough to have the chef make us what we liked, leaving us happy.
That being mentioned, make sure you go earlier because upon booking we weren't told that the outside seating is on a first come basis. Quite a downer if you are left with sitting inside in this gorgeous weather.
Nice Italian place made in between a lagoon next madinat Jumeirah...way to the restaurant is one of the unique experiences that v hardly have in dubai..riding on ferry to the place..food is good n portions r really gud..over all a good experience 👍🏻
Romantic hidden place in Madinat Jumeriah.
When you need a peaceful environment this is perfect place to visit. They have indoor and outdoor sitting options. The menu is short and perfect. They serve authentic Italian food.
We ordered Bruschetta and Veg soup, Pink sauce pasta and cooler..
We got a complimentary starter don't remember the name but it was a small bread and had some toppings on it
Since it was a bday celebration the hotel gave us a complimentary dessert..which was lip smacking 😋
The service is no doubt good (staff is friendly).
Will surely visit this place again
Beautiful place hidden in Madinat Jumeirah, Segreto is a restaurant yet to be discovered by many. I happened to visit them on a Thursday night, the restaurant was not too busy at that time which is infact good
At times you just need a peaceful environment to relax, enjoy and unwind with your food and drinks. They have an outdoor seating as well which was closed probably because of the weather. Their menu is small with limited choices and few options for vegetarians but I enjoyed all that I had
We were served with complimentary bread basket, along with mint dip and cabbage salad. The bread was good but would have tasted even better if it was a bit warm. I loved the tiny cabbage salad, it went well with the bread and mint dip. Playing safe here we just opted for 2 different types of customized vegetarian pastas, the other vegetarian stuff in the menu (risotto, pasta) had ingredients which I thoroughly dislike being as combinations. Very kind of them to take special requests and serve food outside of their menu. They keep adding grated parmesan cheese, as much as you want :P
Penne in Cream Sauce - 5/5 (the pasta here is served al dante style, but it still tastes good, I opted for this with mushrooms and cheese only, loved the creaminess in the pasta, the mushroom too was well grilled)
Penne in Pink Sauce - 4/5 (this was good but I enjoyed the cream sauce more just by itself, the pasta sauce tasted good with their breads though)
If you enjoy sweet alcoholic cocktails, a must have is their MAI TAI, it is by far the best I have had so far in Dubai. The perfect balance of sweetness and alcohol, the drink was strong enough to get you a bit tipsy in just one of it. Their service is definitely good, something that you would always expect from a fine dining restaurant. Cant wait to return during winters to enjoy their outdoor seating with beautiful madinat views.
Great food, lovely ambience and location, and aside from a few minor gripes with my reservation and my server, it is not an experience to be missed. The Abra ride to the restaurant from the valet in Al Qasr is spectacular, especially at sunset. I'll definitely be coming back.
My partner and I were celebrating an occasion but unfortunately the booking and the relevant notes had been misplaced by their system. This was a little irritating as the review by TheBigBadWolf regarding flower petals and arrangements was one of the reasons I picked this restaurant.
Still, the manager came to apologize and brought over some mocktails, which was appreciated. My partner ordered the Seafood Risotto, which she said was comfortably one of the best she'd ever had, though I personally found the sauce to be slightly thin, but not so much as to be noticeable. My ribs were cooked perfectly, and the mustard mash was a wonderful complement to the meat. Coffee and dessert looked good but a work emergency meant we left in a bit of a rush and couldn't sample them, perhaps next time.
The only thing stopping this review from being any higher was the rather slow service, our server forgot my partner's drink twice and neglected to bring me any ice on lemon for my sparkling water until after I requested it multiple times, which was odd considering the restaurant was not particularly busy. I'd also recommend dining a little later and perhaps on a weekend, the crowd on Wednesday was a lot of guests of the surrounding hotels, who were dining in shorts and t shirts, which detracted a little from the otherwise lovely setting.
Segreto is perfect name for this spot cause it is the best kept secret in Dubai. This place is amazing. I was looking for the perfect spot to propose to my GF and must have personally gone and checked out atleast 30 resteraunts to find the perfect location. There were your Pier Chic which were mundane cause they were so regular and are proposal central and then your other resteraunts which were stuffy.
Segreto stood out from the first minute I came in to scout the location. Emmanuele and his team were excited and amazing hosts. They helped with the planning and made the night truely special. I cant thank them enough. Seriously an all star team from the hostesses who helped timing everything to Emmanuele who made sure everything was perfection
You would think on a big night like this who would remember the food. Funny enough you do specially when it is excellent!
Again.. Thank you to the whole team!
Hi everyone....
One of the most exclusive spots in Dubai, Segreto is indeed the place to go with your special someone.
Trek across the walkways of Madinat then hop onto a boat for a romantic ride across the scenic ways of the Madinat.
The restaurant gives you this great sense of arrival the moment you step out of the boat and take those steps.
The reception staff are always happy and welcoming. The place sets you up for a great experience with its dim golden lights and rustic Italian furniture.
All menu items are expertly prepared and are simply a great taste of Italy.
And of course......since it is a hot romantic spot, don't forget to impress your special someone with roses. When you reserve, ask the staff for a special setting where they sprinkle petals on the table and at an extra cost, they can arrange for the most beautiful bouquet.
It is indeed the most romantic spot along with pier chic.
Been there over the weekend. Environment is good. Staff are nice. However valet parking is at al qasr meaning you need to allow more time to walk from hotel to the restaurant. Food is excellent, from presentation to taste, are perfect for me. Price is also reasonable. Worth to revisit for a second time
Segreto is real treat. Lavishly designed restaurant with food that is delicious. There is not a vast choice on the menu but there is something for everyone and the standard of the food is exquisite. The staff couldn't do enough for us will definitely be back as you can use the Entertainer as well so good value for money.
The steak was out of this world and the menu is really well thought of. Every dish is very carefully selected. We really loved the desert. We tried the set menu and it was just perfect. We tried this place in feb so the the weather was perfect for the outdoor sitting. The ambiance was great and I recommend it for everyone Family, Friends and definitely that special one.
We came around 5:30 PM just after work and was informed that its happy hour from 5-8 PM, so we ordered a drink each and sat at the outdoor bar upstairs with stunning views of the water and wooden boats passing by.. very picturesque indeed. 4/5
7:45 PM the friendly staff walked us down to the restaurant - it was nice of them to accommodate us despite the place being full. They even gave us a table outside so we were please about that! Customer service: 4/5
The food were all fantastic- the typical Italian complimentary starters of bread, balsamic and olive oil, the braised veal shank with risotto (mine) and the Mediterranean flavour sea bream that my friend ordered. Clean empty plates there were after few minute! 4/5
Price: Considering the place, service and of course the food itself, I think they are priced ok-ish... but a can of soft drinks is 22/- and a bottle of sparkling water is 35/-, a bit too much . 3.5/5
What a diamond in the rough. I remember when people would say Segreto is a great Italian restaurant. And it really is! It's a shame that not many people go there anymore. The food is great. Service is pleasant. I had their steak and it was so juicy and tender. We sat on the terrace which overlooked the water; beautiful! I look forward to going there again.
The name Segreto translates into Italian as ‘secret’, and there really is no better word to describe this establishment. Located amongst the narrow, winding, maze-like streets of the Arabian souk at Dubai’s Madinat Jumeirah complex, lies this almost hidden Italian eatery.
Emerging from the darkened interior of the souk, guests are brought blinking into the light of Segreto. Blending the feel of a quaint Italian village into the distinctly Arabesque architecture, works surprisingly well and is aesthetically pleasing, amounting to a calm and serene space. Perched over the Madinat canals, this is one of the better spots in Dubai to catch the sunset with a refreshing beverage in hand.
Segreto is no new addition to the Dubai dining scene, but has recently undergone re-development to bring guests a new outdoor terrace. A space which covers a large area surrounding a central bar, with sofas for relaxing and a patio area lined with potted olive trees. All of which comes together to provide a distinctly tranquil vibe.
We were invited by the team at Segreto for a first look at the terrace and a chance to sample some of the Italian delicacies on offer. With plenty of seating and a plethora of food – we happily settled in for the evening. With almost all seating offering views out over the palm trees and waterways of Madinat Jumeriah there really is no wrong place to be at Segreto.
The beverages are a mixture of wines, beers (Italian favourite Peroni) and signature cocktails. The Aperol spritzer is especially welcome after a long day in the office, as is the orange-twist on a cosmopolitan.
The food is exactly as you would expect from an authentic Italian trattoria and though not a sit-down dinner, we were treated to a vast array of tasters from the menu. From fresh tomato smothered bruschetta, to copious amounts of Manchego cheese – the chefs at Segreto spare no expense to ensure that guests have access to the finest of ingredients when dining.
Standout dishes were the insalata caprese, a fine combination of tomato, basil and mozzarella that provided an instant hit of freshness as though the herbs had just been picked for our tasting pleasure.
The selection offered to guests contained all of the classic dishes that you would expect, from polenta topped with anchovies, all the way through to pizzas – though these ones came with the unique addition of being topped with blackberries, which though not something we would have put together, tasted exceptional when combined with the cheesy dough beneath.
An attention to detail and balance of flavours was evident in even the simpler dishes. The idiom ‘less is more’ proved to be true as a classic vegetarian pizza was elevated in taste by a simple but tangy tomato base. Uncomplicated ingredients used exceptionally well made for dishes that respect their star component and allow it enough room to shine. The fried calamari is one example that reveled in simplicity. Covered in a golden brown batter that crunched and was cooked just enough to allow the calamari to soften – it was a delight to sample.
The menu is seafood heavy (not that we’re complaining) and we sampled sweet and sour prawns which were delectable on the palate. Spoilt for choice we happily devoured crab cakes and whole soft-shell crabs. The absence of pasta was noticeable, though fully understandable as it does not really make for great finger food.
These tasters gave a great idea of what the restaurant itself would be like. Accessible down a flight of stairs, the area on the lower level of Segreto is a far more refined dining area.
Before the night was over, we ensured that we tried the desserts which included a passion fruit parfait, a delightfully creamy mascarpone and berry combination and the pick of the bunch – coffee and caramel mini macaroons. Our only complaint was that there was no tiramisu available – but hey, there’s always next time!
We could’t help but marvel at the Segreto experience, as traditional wooden abra’s sailed past or and we gazed up through the wind towers into the starry night sky. This hybrid of Italian and Arabian influences just oozes sophistication. Accompanied by a soundtrack of chilled house and a lounge vibe, Segreto is a pleasant place to while away an evening.
Went to have dinner with my friend here last night. I really admire the ambiance of the place, its Stunningly beautiful. From the gate up to the main restaurant it was breath taking. The hostess guided us to our table. Well apparently for starters haahah its funny cos we cant even pronounce their food very well so we decided to ask suggestions. So for starter we had lobster and tuna salad, oh gosh, really, it was fantastic!. I love the tuna, mouth watering. Then we had pasta and red wine as well. Everything was perfect, even the service was superb. Great experience. Thanks to the team leader who helped us and our beautiful server and also BART hahaha til next time
Beautiful place with premium service and a great wine list! The fish was amazing but the meat was a big too fatty for me. Very good value if you use the entertainer vouchers!
I LOVE this place! I took a friend of mine here as she is new in Dubai and really wanted to treat her. Needless to say she was very impressed! It never fails to disappoint me on food. I had the caprese salad to start and the gnocci for my main. Both were delicious and very filling. I loved the gnocci so much I'm even going to attempt to make it at home this week! The only downside was that the staff were very slow (this is the only time I've had this issue).
TIP: arrive at Al Qasr hotel and take the boat to the restaurant, so romantic and a definite wow factor!
-food is very nice.
We have ordered , Alfredo pasta (which was not included on the menu, but they made a delicious one for us). Bolognese pasta. Risotto, Salads, and the Tiramisu is amazing.
-Ambience is good.
-the service is fine. However on weekends it could be hard to meet expectations.
-the pricing is worth the food and quality that is being offered.
I Have been to this place 4 times and was never disappointed.
I did not find this place that appealing but it was definitely worth a shot!
We were here for lunch on a weekday. The entire place was empty! Ambience no doubt was good! After we were seated, the server introduced himself and got us the menu. We placed our order and in the mean while we were accompanied with the bread basket which were really soft and olive dip.
We ordered a half bottle of champagne and steak of course! The steak was really good. The mashed potato along with it went so well. I really liked the way the food was presented. Once we were done, there was a sweet gesture! They gave us a complimentary dessert with a candle on it (It was a birthday lunch)
The service was quick and the staff especially our server was reallyyy sweet! This place is supposed to be more of a romantic restaurant. I look forward to visit here again but for dinner this time and sit outdoors (provided the weather is good) Overall, it was peaceful and we had a good time!
Until then, Happy Eating! :xx
First time trying this place, me and my lunch partner entered this place and were guided by a waitress to our table. The place was quiet, bit empty, but its a weekday lunch time ..
We went through their menu which is not very impressive, it's italian (non traditional - out of Italy) 'fine dining' menu. They had some lunch offer going on for 180dhs you get a whole meal from 1st course to main to desserts. We decided to give it a try ! We sampled the beetroot carpaccio with goats cheese, which was good small portions not very impressive but nonetheless refreshing. Their bread selection was good too.
For mains we tried their funghi tagliatelle and seabass with veggies. The seabass was good, veggies were well seasoned the celery puree was really good. They must have sprinkled some crushed black pepper last minute because some of the sides had big pepper chunks, which took over my palate.
The dessert round we tried their tiramisu and panna cotta .. the tiramisu was decent a mix of mascarpone and whipped cream, I prefer mine with more thickness to it more mascarpone then cream and mainly it was very sweet. The sweetness took over the coffee the cocoa powder. Tiramisu 6/10.
The panna cotta was well presented, tasted good. But seriously lacked a berry coulis, the fruits were tasteless surely because they were sitting in the fridge already cut for long. The crumble of biscuit added a crunch but did not add any taste to it, should have been buttery crunchy. The jelly bits were berry flavored. The taste goes well with the panna cotta - tangy berries and panna cotta - yes ! but the texture : panna cotta is soft + jelly - soft berry bits, just made it strange. To finish the mint leaves were annoying they needed to be chopped and mixed or marinated with the fruits, a whole leaf of mint handicaps any palate doesnt serve any purpose.
The food is well presented, the portions in the set menu were light which is good for a lunch menu. The service was very good, polite, not intrusive, not bugging at all. The waiter even spoke a bit of italian and excused himself each time he interrupted us to take our next order. The place is very romantic, very discreet.
The food arrived very quickly, I mean very very quickly. Either because the place was empty or because most of it is ready made… or because I was having such a good time, I give it the benefit of the doubt.
Conclusion : My lunch partner Captainrolio and I both concluded- its decent food but lacked that oomph. It's a very standard italian fine dining restaurant again not traditional cuisine. Service was really enjoyable, presentation is perfect, a bit on the pricy side. Would I go back ? hmm would try something else. The question is - Dove ?
Note : the parking system is worth banging your heads on the walls… parking is not free even if you dine in - some restaurant can validate your ticket BUT its only for getting free valet parking. There are instruction everywhere that you have to validate your ticket in parking machine before you exit… well guess what there is a way to insert the ticket if you dont follow that your ticket comes out of the machine you think its validated and at the exit you get to know - that you have to pay and re-validate your ticket. We got lucky there was a parking staff guy at the exit assisting you in this mess.

Italian fine dining, warm welcoming staff. Had a pasta in fresh tomato sauce which was my first experience of pasta in fine dining. One of the staff served us chef special dish was too good.
Classic and simple... The food is very good and the service is fast and friendly. The gnocchi is amazing and the warm bread served is fantastic. It's a quiet place but nice atmosphere. Will return
After a long and hunger struck journey to find a good place to eat my partner and i finally landed at Segreto.
It's located inside Madinat Jumeirah and is quite secluded from the other restaurants.
The first impression of the place was very good as the view it over looked was fantastic and the ambience was very calming.
We spent some time on deciding what to order and finally came to a conclusion.
We ordered the Raviloi and the Vegetarian Pizza.
The food arrived quite quickly and the service was quite friendly and welcoming.
The Pizza was perfect for two people with a crispy crust , though I feel like the amount of topping could have been a pinch less , as I could only taste the vegetable eventually.
The Ravioli was quite less in portion but tasted delightful , only one flaw would be that the amount of sage butter should have been more so it would add more flavour.
For Drinks we ordered ordered a Virgin Pinacolada and an apple based mocktail which I don't remember the name of due to my gold fish memory (and it isn't on the menu ,sigh) , both the drinks tasted great and looked quite tempting too.
All in all a good place to go out with a close group of friends or even your partner as the ambience is very pleasant and did I forget to mention really nice music (Not live).
Quick Tip : they have a great offer for starters where if you order 3 together they are for 90 dhs.
I didn't visit this place for the last several months but everything changed!
Food was simple, genuine, well presented and most important, tasty!
Service very professional, attentive and not intrusive. Manager and Sommelier present on the floor visiting every single table adding the elegant Italian touch.
I was impressed with the positive changes, well done!
Very nice restaurant in Madinat Jumeirah, if you skip the appetizer, you can actually go on a weekday without spending a ton of money and you have the complementary basked of bread for starter anyway... The surroundings are amazing, tables right by the waters edge and the service is also ok but not fast. I love the bruschetta (although it's too expensive compared to my main course) and the lasagna was outstanding! The lasagna is the reason I'm going back and for that the price is very reasonable...
Sophisticated Ambience inside but a lot more romantic on the outside seating.. good elite Italian dining experience, great food presentation but the food was below par taste wise.
Went there with my husband on a Thursday evening..The ambiance was pleasant and romantic. However the options on the menu were limited. The service was a bit slow and chaotic. I had the fried sea food for starter which was okayish. Nothing to boast about. For the main I had the mushroom risotto which was nice though I would have liked to have a variety. There were only 2 risotto options. All in all it was a nice place.
Loved the service, waiter less reorder different dishes after they had already started preparing!!! (Long story, friends were late ...). Then randomly gave us a 20% discount !!
