I went to Scalini for dinner. I would encourage to visit the place for a truly authentic italian experience. Booking in advance is recommended.
I found the restaurant very cosy, welcoming and having a great ambiance. I’d like to come back and explore the menu more. The waiters were attentive, friendly and helpful. They offer variety of pasta dishes, meat and fish dishes are on the expensive side but nevertheless I recommend this place.

Tried the burrata and it was nice.

Lasagna was amazing.

I dislike tiramisu but this one was recommended to us by a staff member and we don’t regret getting it because it was creamy and the coffee taste was very light. Yummy.

We ordered the Nutella cheesecake and I’d say it’s fineti cheesecake. The cheesey part of the cake tasted like fineti. I grew up eating fineti, it was our “Nutella” back where I was raised. So the dish was a taste of my childhood which I adored. Nonetheless there was a very thin spread of Nutella on the very top layer.
The cheesecake comes with a scoop of banana ice cream which isn’t my thing so it remained untouched. If you’re like me, maybe you can ask for a classic vanilla instead or not have ice cream all together.

Finally, ambience was it was nice. I liked how the place has a ‘private’ entrance with the elevator. Although from the moment I stepped foot in that elevator, it reeked alcohol. And the smell kept getting stronger and stronger after we were seated next to a couple who kept drinking. I’d advise that the elevator is ventilated properly and insert an air freshener that goes off every 10 minutes or so. And another suggestion would be while people are booking, they should be asked whether they’ll be drinking or not. This way you could choose the seating area accordingly. I’d also suggest better ventilation inside, air fresheners or any sort of diffuser to get rid of that smell. I took off a star for this reason.

Overall food was good, smell of the place not so good.

Absolutely loved the ambience and the service at this place. Went here for lunch on my anniversary. We ordered the calamari for starters. Truffle pizza and wagyu lasagna for mains. The pizza was rich, creamy and loved the truffle flavors. The lasagna wasn’t extraordinary but we still loved how simple it was. I will definitely go back to try their famous Lobster spaghetti and desserts next time!
The must to order: Avocado Caldo, Spaghetti lobster, linguine al granchio, truffle pizza, parmigiana and tiramisu for dessert - you can’t go wrong!

I can live without going to it

Enes was very welcoming and made everything feel wonderful starting from service to the last minute. The food was very good and the vibes where great as well.

Been there after corona. They informed us that the chef has been changed. The new chef was excellent who scalini really deserves. All foods’ taste back to delicious old days. Thanks to alberto for such a quick action.
Tnx

I used to really like Scalini as you can see from my older review.

Tonight, wasn’t great. Food was fine. What I found very DISAPPOINTING was at dessert. We ordered tea/coffee and dessert , after it arrived within 10 minutes the server thanked us and removed our plates. THEN REMOVED OUR HALF EATEN DESSERT. So unprofessional and rude for a fine dining restaurant, never going back.

Good food, good service, nice ambiance. everything we ordered tasted good. Staff were very friendly. We sat under the beautiful olive tree.

Iv been to scalini many times...and I just have to say I’m disappointed on what happened to the restaurant. The waiting time for the food was unacceptable. The waiters keep bumping our heads from how the tables are next to each other. And the WORST PART is the air conditioning is terrible all year long! Everyone was sweating and it was just humid. And they told us “we can’t do anything about it”. So make sure to visit in winter time only I guess. Overall...I’d give it a 3/10.

Good customer service/management apart from a few mistakes here and there. The food is very delicious but quite overpriced. My favorite is their truffle pasta that’s prepared in front of you in a cheese wheel. Their lobster pasta and risotto is also very delicious.
ButterBall
Beautiful decor but disappointing food. Very average tasting starters and pasta was over cooked. Arrogant service. You can’t charge these prices and fail on both food and service.

Was meeting my frieends for lunch and decided on this place, its in 4 seasons hotel and we were a party of 7.
We ordered fried mozzarella 4/5, quinoa salad (didnt try it but it finished :p), burrata salad 2/5 and calamary 5/5 for appetizers. Loved the calamary out of all the appetizers. For the main course, we ordered their signiture lobster spaghetti pasta 5/5 and it was amazing, the dish of the day for me, clam linguine pasta 2/5, truffle ravioli 4/5, mushroom risotto 4/5, tagliatel alfredo 3/5 a little heavy, margharita pizza and truffle pizza and both were delicious.

Ordered the spaghetti lobster, where was the lobster? When telling the waiter I’ve eaten here before and it wasn’t like this the first few times I had it. He said it’s mixed in and never came back. Not the best customer service.

Delicious food 🍵🍤
Good food presentation but expected more creative ideas🍹🍽
nice decoration and atmosphere 🌺
The service was good 👌
Staff are so kind 👍🏻

What a great meal. This place has everything from perfect service, seating, wine, to food.. and of course dessert! Such fresh food, and our server, Guiseppe was incredibly attentive and knew what items to pair together. Must go there again very soon.

Fantastic food and service. Proper Italian experience by all means. Our waiter Giuseppe did a terrific job, all of his recommendations were on point as the options on the menu sounded too delicious that I sure needed some help! The setting outside is absolutely refreshing, I felt I’m back in Italy. One thing to change: The music. It should be more chilled/classic Italian, and less Mariah Carey, please. Definitely coming back very soon!

Food and service was excellent. Restaurant had a great vibe to it. Staff courteous and friendly. It had easy access aswell. Your terrace could have been bigger with a view especially so one can sit outside in the winter months in Dubai. Best creme brûlée I’ve had in a long time. Definitely be coming back here and will recommend it to friends.

very nicely done up place, superb ambiance, the vegetarian food was passe, with Dubai having better places already this doesnt add on to the list for vegetarians, the pesto linguine was excellent , rest were all good.

A beautiful italian restaurant with an italian air. If the design and atmosphere impressed me the food not so much. I will recommend pasta dishes cause are good, and the fish stew or zuppa di pesce. I liked their famous parmigiano pasta cause it comes with a show.
Meat&potatoes
Big fan of the decor, especially the tree in the outdoor area. Nice big open kitchen as well. Ordered the signature lobster spaghetti a few times which is quite tasty and very reasonably priced for a lobster spaghetti.

Been a frequent diner of the one in London for over a decade.

This just falls short in many ways.

For the opening and the first month or so, the staff that were transferred over from the London branch kind of made up for the below average food and weird kind of ambience. Now they have gone it’s not really any good.

The manager in the period I mentioned above stated that they had problems getting fresh produce and you can feel that in their dishes.

Have tried it 3/4 times but don’t see any reason to go back.

Il borro a much better option if more expensive.

Noor AlK
Great ambience, very welcoming and friendly staff, food was tasty, but lacked that wow factor. You can easily find this type of food in any other italian restaurant. Overall, it was a nice experience.
Karim Khayati
It’s okay, it’s average. There are better Italian restaurants around. The burrata was basic, the pulpo-potato didn’t have any taste, the carpaccio was great, the pasta with Lobster was weak and needs improvement (especially the pasta itself). I was thinking of giving 2 stars but I am luckily very kind :)

The food here is really something else. The rich flavor of every dish makes me want to eat there everyday. Service is fab, and the outdoor sitting is nice and quaint. Highly recommend it for a special night out.

Amazing place , friendly staff and good music in background to keep you entertain . Our server Sanja and the gentleman Marchen and Alex were very welcoming. Food was as expected very good and reasonably priced. Thank you team scalini

A very charming Italian restaurant.
We ordered their Lobster Spaghetti which is one of their signature dish. I highly recommend it. It’s not to be missed. Atmosphere is very welcoming.
Staff is very kind. I look forward to visiting again.
Al Ahadpour
Big fan of the decor and ambiance in the restaurant.
It has a light setting, which I prefer over the dim setting that is very popular in Dubai. The service is good and food is good as well!

Highly recommend their beef carpaccio, one of the best I have had so far. The burrata is also really.
And make sure you leave space for dessert, tiramisu was amazing !
@dxbyummy
Delicious food, great wine. I left thinking when am coming back and that I must bring my friends.
For anyone that appreciates good food, visit Scalini.
I ordered the lobster spaghetti, at first I thought I’d never finish the plate but Hey! Every bite was great.
On the table they also ordered Parmesan truffle pasta which was great, burrato, ravioli and fish. It was all delicious. Unfortunately, had no more space for dessert but until next time....

High end italian restaurant with high quality ingredients.
Rustic and cozy setting. The and indoor and outdoor seating are really nice.
Food:
Fried calamari: 4.5/5⭐️
Mushroom dish: 4/5 ⭐️ super good and flavorful
Parmesan salad: 3.5/5⭐️ what you expect
Truffle and veal salad: 3/5 good, the truffle taste is strong but it lacks more flavor in general. The sauce is purely truffle might need an infusion of another taste
Creme brulee: 3/5⭐️ light feel to it

Ps. The place doesn’t have any pizza for the Italian restaurant lovers seeking pizza
Maryam
I loved the atmosphere, the food and the services... but the menu was not “wow” .. it was like any other Italian restaurant.. nothing new about it .. I think they should work more on the menu by adding more creative Italian dishes ..

A friend suggested we try out the newly opened scalini at the four seaons for dinner. So here we were one evening, on a hot summer night. As soon as you enter the restaurant , you feel you have been transported to an al fresco restaurant in the mediterranean. The olive tree and the lemon tree. albeit artificial, addef a touch of nature to the ambiebce. We chose to sit under the olive tree. The drinks menu was presented to us and i chose the scalitini from their signatures. The cocktail was served in a martini glass but was off balance. it did not taste good but tasted bitter instead. Instead of risking anymore cocktails, i switched to a red wine. I ordered the chianti . However, i was disappoibted to see that it was served to me as though i was orderinf the house red in a pub. The bottme wasn't preaented to me noe was i given a taste of the wine before it was poured in the glass. very unexpected of a four seasons restaurant.
We were ready to order our starters. We ordered the fried mozarella with tomatoes, squid with tomato and chilli, avocado scalini and the seafiod medley with puff pastry. The fried mozarella was ok...nothing exciting...just a bigger mozarella stick. The calamari was cooked to perfection but did not turn out as i had expected it to. i expected calamri rings tossed in olive oil with tomatoea and chilli, but this was calamari rings in a tomatoa sauce with no presence of chilli. It was average. The medley of seafood was yummy though. The sauce in which rhe seafoodbwqs served had geeat flavour. The most disappointing antipasti was the avocado scalini . It was just pieces of sliced avocado and tomatoes with some buratta and artichoke in olive oil. Atleast a lemon & parsley vinagrette would have made is better. But for sonething not supposed to be an insalata but an antipasti, this was shocking. For mains we ordered the veal osso buco with saffron risotto, sphagetting with vongole, sphagetti with crab and the papparadelle with veal ragout and truffle. The veal osso bico was cooked well...just falling off the bone and the risotto was the perfect accompaniment. The crab sphagetti was nothing wow but light and tasty. The sphagetti with vongole was but lacked chilli was was promised in the menu sonwe had to ask for some. The most disappointing main was the pappradelle. pappradelle is my favourite pasta but the ragout was just flat and lacked flavour. It was just boiled meat instead of a rich full of flavour ragout. Moreover, the truffle wasn't shaved fresh on the plate during service. It was pre- prepared. This os a big no in the food industry. For desserts we ordered the tiramisu, . the creme brulee, the pistachio panna cotta snd the chocolate cake with passion fruit sorbet. The tiramisu was excellent and one of the best in Dubai. The creme brulee was the special of the month. The. creme. brulee was lovely. it was light and the caramelization of sugar on top was just right and toasty. The panna cotta was probably the worst. It had no wobble at all . On summonig our server and telling them about the pannacotta, the server replied" that's how we serve it ". It sure was sent back. The chocolate cake didn't turn out to be a chocolate cake. It was actually a chocolate ganache. This made is very rich and heavy and was sent back as well. Overall there were a few hits but more misses. No, i won't ever comeback. There are better italian restaurants in town.
Big thumbs up for service to the team @ Scalini, tentative and polite. Shame the “outdoor” area wasnt bigger, as I found the indoors seating area a bit stuffy with tables too sporadic, the outside smallish garden is a beautiful place to eat. The food I tried (pappardelle pasta as main, burrata - crab salad and Avocado caldo for starter and tiramisu for dessert) varied between the excellent (pasta and avocado caldo) and the OK (tiramisu with only virtue its light albeit i tried the alcohol free version, crab salad was average), burrata was just good, and I hope the intro bread can be improved, but overall a pleasant meal in a pleasant setting...(the $$$ value factor is low but thats sadly the norm in dubai, although il Borro could be a more sensible alternative in this regard).

Had the pleasure of visiting scalini and let me tell you it was a beautiful gastronomic experience . Located at four seasons Dubai . One of my fav locations sitting between Nusret and Coya. Scalini stands out with an Italian classic family business elegant vibe . Must haves are :
-beef carpaccio
-lobster spaghetti pasta
-pistachio cake.

Will definitely go again - totally recommended .

Regards
Aaser

Scalini is the latest restaurant addition to the Four Seasons hotel in Jumeirah, and a great one at that! Apparently a celebrity favorite in London, this Italian eatery offers a rustic, classic atmosphere with a cozy al fresco dining area.

The service was great and our server suggested some fantastic dishes. We aboslutely LOVED the burrata, a massive portion and more than enough for 2 to share. The asparagus with cheese had a delicious hollandaise sauce. Our pastas were both delectable, the ravioli and the gnocchi. We ended on a high note with their light, airy and fluffy tiramisu, along with the pannacotta.

The pricing is in line with other FS restaurants, however their portions are humongous and most dishes can be shared - And it is great value for money.
Note: I dined as a guest of the restaurant, however views are my own.

One thing of note was the service over everything else.

Ambience is really ok if you compare it to its neighbors coya, nusrat , jean george .

Food also is pleasant but not spectacular in anyway.

We had their house white wine which went very well with our meal of burrata ( its a sizeable portion!), crab salad ( cold and fresh) , baked avocado (ok), mushroom salad ( yum). Had their salt crust fish (very nice preparation) , mushroom risotto and a few other dishes. Ending the meal with their tiramisu was a good choice.

If I had to pick one place for Italian fine dining, sadly Scalini wouldn’t be on top of the list though.

Even then I’d like to thank the staff for a memorable lunch for the 9 of us. They made the ordering very easy and looked after us very well.

Came here for lunch,

Tried their avocado cheese as starter which was good,
For mains : ordered their milanese with pasta pink sauce and lobster spaghetti.

For desserts : tiramisu and pistachio pana cota

Generally food was good.

Service was excellent
Staff were friendly and attentive

With Sprezzatura
Looking for a good lobster pasta???? They have one of the best! I loved it! Huuuuge portion! Ask you waiter/waitress to make it extra saucy if your into that... and they shall deliver.. good lobster meat and intense truffle is available.. the real Italian truffle that makes your nostrils expand. Not to mention... they have wonderful interior makes you feel like your out of Dubai...just for a little while...

I must say that the food at scalini is delicious! I absolutely loved the baked avocado with cheese, yummy crab pasta, good burrata, very Very good tiramisu! A must try tiramisu !Really enjoyed the rose martini (not so much the lychee martini- too sweet). Overall a good place with good ambiance.( I personally prefer scalini to nusr-et or Jean George or to Coya next door). It gets super busy on a weekend , reservation is a must. The place is quite small with a little cosy and beautiful outdoor area. Must go if you love Italian food!!! It’s obviously quite expensive, it’s next to four seasons hotel (but not as expensive as nusr-et)

One of the few authentic Italian restaurants in Dubai. Their food is great and simple in ingredients. Everything we ordered was very good, the lasagne, the Bolognese, the lobster spaghetti, all was very good. The burrata was ok. The service is very good and we received our order fast. Highly recommended if u feel like having a good Italian dinner with a lively ambiance.

We went to celebrate my Husband’s birthday.
Great ambience and service. Food is good, not wow. But would definitely revisit for the lively atmosphere
One negative point, they got us a Tiramisu cake without asking us and then charged us.
Over all, a good place for a nice evening dinner.
Cravefood_instyle
One of the best experiences in Dubai. The quality of the food, service, taste and menu variety made my experience very pleasant at the newest London brand that recently opened in Dubai.

Our orders were the fresh burrata, carpaccio and baked avo with cheese. All were delivered fresh with the right temperature and delicious flavors.
The mains and pasta were the grilled wagyu beef and the ribbon pasta with veal and truffle: it was a pleasure with every bite. We finished off the meal with a pistachio panna cotta and a tiramisu, another great closing to that experience!

Celebrating my birthday for the fourth time this year, I decided to take the family to Scalini. An Italian restaurant I used to go to a long time ago when I was in London.
Located just next to my favorite restaurant in Dubai Coya, at the four season hotel, Scalini is comfortably designed with an outdoor and indoor dining areas . If you’re a non smoker you might be disturbed as the wind will bring in smoke from the outdoor area, it can be very uncomfortable
The menu was rich, staff were friendly and very informative, the food was really good. I would advise you to listen to the waiter’s recommendation , they really know the menu. Appetizers, pasta and dessert were really good. Espresso was perfect
Highly recommended for family outings or a dinner with friends. Can’t comment on prices as I was the birthday girls...
Enjoy

Went there after a meeting in 4S out of curiosity and to check out the newly opened place. As a walk-in, we were received a warm welcome from a friendly Italian inviting us in.

The fact that we had no reservation was not a problem, (the usual Dubai-style hostess discrimination attitude „hmm, we are fully booked but I will try my best to find you a table“ to be then seated at the worst table in an empty restaurant for the rest of your stay did not happen here.

As a refreshing surprise, guests are treated as friends and are offered even without booking the best tables available and can choose from. This is how it should be at all places!!

The little garden is just beautiful and so lovely to enjoy while the weather stills allows sitting outside.

We spontaneously decided to stay for a little late lunch and were not disappointed!

The service is outstanding, most of the staff is Italian unlike in many other places in Dubai. The waiters are very friendly and chatty, have excellent knowledge about the restaurant‘s menu and do not push orders, which is refreshing. There are also two restaurants managers walking around, greeting the guests and making sure that everybody is happy. Top notch service & hospitality 👍🏻

The food was lovely, a beautiful artisan bread basket, delicious jumbo olives, a freshly made tomato spread and parmeggiano was offered.

The pasta was picture-perfect and very tasty, cooked to the point.

We had such a lovely time and spent almost 3 hours there enjoying the food and the cozy little garden.

We will definitely come back very soon!!

The only thing that is slightly irritating is the pricing.
Unlike most Dubai restaurants that are located in a hotel or resort, the 20% government and service taxes are not included, nor is VAT.

Strangely, the prices you see at Scalini only include 10% taxes, so another 15% are added to the final amount of your bill. So a dish that is showing with 100AED on the menu does actually cost you 115 AED on your bill. It is no big deal but not following UAE regulations, is confusing and in my view unnecessary and not transparent for the customers.
Abdulla AlMadani
New fine dining Italian restaurant with great authentic Italian dishes. We went there for lunch the place was almost full so I suggest reserving a table in advance. The Burrata was very fresh and tasty and all the pasta dishes we ordered were very delicious the Veal Milanese was probably the best in Dubai.
Bina Khiani
SCALINI was a huge disappointment to all of us. We were 7 ladies out for a fun luncheon but the mediocre food and tiny mosquitoes hovering over our plates, made our appetites diminish rapidly. The signature dish was Lobster pasta and although it looked delicious , was nothing special and all we had to say - we have eaten better Italian food in Dubai..
Are we going back? certainly not soon...
Pankaj Gupta
The place is vibrant and buzzing! Valentine Day played it's role too. The ambience and sitting is much better than the London one. Service was prompt but could be more attentive and caring. Chef knows his job well as food is good.

From Chelsea, London to Jumeirah, Dubai, it’s hard to believe Scalini’s has finally opened a branch here. Located beside the swanky Four Seasons Resort Hotel in Jumeirah-2, Scalini’s brings a breath of fresh air to Dubai’s fine dining Italian scene. The interior of Scalini Dubai is fresher than the old school original in London, interestingly it manages to be casual and elegant at the same time. Yet there’s no mistaking it for anything but a fine dining establishment. That said, the interior designers could have spaced things out a little more; perhaps cramped is the style they were going for.
The Hangry Local
Besides the decor and an outdoor option, i struggled to find a difference when compared to the original Scalini london and that includes the clientele!

Another day, another Italian restaurant. While Italian might be the new Peruvian in Dubai, my visit to Scalini should mark the final visit to this particular cuisine for the near future, as I’m not sure I can eat another bite of pasta. Carved from what I believe used to be part of the Jean-Georges Kitchen, upon arrival, the London import Scalini has a dedicated bright blue lift to mark the restaurant’s entrance in the busy corridor at the Four Seasons Jumeirah. When I question if its the only way in (or out), I’m met with a tentative yes. I assume that should there be an emergency there are alternate ways out of the

1 is way too much for such trashy place that hires cheap staff.
Attached is a nutshell of our experience ..
i hope scalini london gets to see this .. your image and reputation is GONE TO ABSOLUTE SHAME!!
As soon as you walk in you'll be impressed by the fresh decor of the restaurant, its very lively and busy with people. The only thing that the restaurant lacks in the is the flavor and quality that you'd be getting at any casual Italian restaurant.

The best things about the place is the decor, food is mediocre at best, the staff is auctioning off your food so they can take the plate away before it’s nearly done.

I don’t think I’d be coming back unless the menu is redesigned with flavor.

Dishes I tried:

1. Duck Foie Gras
2. Lobster Tail
3. Burrata
4. Truffle Pasta
5. Seafood Pasta
6. Calamari

Scalini is the latest high-end eatery to take up residence at the restaurant village at the Four Seasons Resort Jumeirah and an Italian concept appears to be a good fit, sitting amongst the likes of Latin American Coya and Turkish steakhouse Nusr Et (#SaltBae). First impressions are good and access to Scalini can be found in the form of an elevator from the main restaurant concourse and valet parking area. Sea blue paintwork and subtle gold lettering set the tone for a classy Mediterranean experience, but you’ve got to push the elevator buttons awfully hard to begin your “subterranean” descent.
