Going in, you don't know what to expect, but my friends and I had never laughed so hard and had so much fun in a restaurant. Great place, super food. But if you’re going to avail the entertainer then please note the restaurant is REFUSING to accept entertainer. It’s a shame because it’s so hot and we walked all the way so we actually had to sit down without choice. Any way the food was good I had ordered the avocado quinoa bowl. The service was slow and waiters were all over the place.

Loved the place and views. The staff were extremely friendly and the food was outstanding. The flavors just stood out so uniquely in the avocado quinoa breakfast bowl. The bread basket was a pleasant surprise from the kitchen and so fresh and loved how hygienic everything was.

Absolutely amazing place! Been to la mer several times, and we always look for a different place to eat, but we always end up at the duchess. I am in love with their porridge, (I opt for plant based milk instead of dairy, since I’m vegan) because it’s so filling and it’s the perfect consistency. I usually order extra maple syrup on the side because this ones a lil low on sweetness. Another favourite is the quinoa salad bowl which usually comes with egg, but I asked for extra avocado instead and they politely agreed to bring me some extra bread as well:) This one kept me filled for hours! A staple and perhaps one of a kind is the orange and carrot marmalade that they bring with the complimentary bread basket! Can’t get enough of this cafe, with its serene views, polite and accommodating staff, and above all, the wonderful food!

Ambiance is awesome Service is great until later on (read later on this). Food was delicious. We even tasted the kids' orders and they were fantastic tasting. La Mer has a fly/mosquito problem... and they get attracted to ketchup. If you order a plate that is garnished with Ketchup just ask the waiters to change your plate. Thank me with an upvote later :) Service: after the meal we wanted to order desert and coffee. Our table was ignored. We finally got the attention of a waiter who signalled another waiter to bring the menu while they cleaned up. Coordinated service! Unfortunately the table was half cleaned and no one came back to take our desert order.

Ok place but way overpriced for what’s on offer. I ordered a 65 Aed Benedict - one egg and one bun.... if the serving is that much the price should reflect that. Some other dishes looked better but for this price and experience will not be one to keep coming back to. It will remain a tourist joint due to location, but better value can be found elsewhere.

Mum and I looked at the menu and selected our dishes; Red Leicester Cheddar Omelette for me and Avocado on Toast with Poached Eggs for mum. She was going for the healthy option, whilst I just wanted to eat something, I was that hungry! We should have asked the server for portion sizes because the portions were generous! Not only that, they gave this massive bread basket complimentary that had the most amazing freshly baked bread, compound butter, and homemade jam. We hadn't expected the breadbasket whatsoever, so by the time our food arrived, we were no longer famished; instead, we had our bellies full to the brim, and it was a tall task to finish every last morsel from our plates. We did it anyway because the food was delicious. I was glad that the food was delicious because the prices were not low whatsoever, the menu was towards the expensive side; albeit offering a wide variety of dishes and beverages. Extremely bad experience there. Food is really overprice. Order break basket, it is same thing with complimentary bread basket, asked to cancel the order they said I cannot cancel it. Afterwards, complained about it and waitress said she will talk to the management the n no one came to talk to us. Chef and manager pointing at our table from bar talked for few minutes, no one bothered to talk to us. felt like really offended by the way chefs and manager pointing at our table. Extremely bad experience I had in dubai.

Very unique place for a sweet treat! The cakes here are so delicious and beautifully presented by the chefs behind the glass kitchen! We ordered a carrot cake and we watched the Moroccan chef carefully crafted it with great attention to detail! When it was delivered to our table, we couldn't believe how beautiful it was! So beautiful that we didn't want to ruin what he had created! The cake was so moist and delicious! The cafe is small but very cosy and comfortable! Lovely location by the beach! Staff are friendly and very helpful! We would come more often if we live close by! Last time we dropped in two months ago and the Moroccan chef wasn't there. The carrot cake was not available. We tried the date cake and it was lovely, but no way near the carrot cake! We were told that it will be back in the menu by the winter! So we are looking forward to it! A very special place to spoil yourself with a sweet treat!

We love the ambience. The staff were also helpful and friendly, especially Emma. She even reccomends places to go in Dubai :) For the food, we tried Pina Colada, Iced Cappuccino, Piccolo, Pomegranate juice and the saffron cake for light bites. The pina colada was excellent, very fresh and not too sweet/sour, Cappuccino was okay but I've tasted better. The cake was also yummy! Crunchy and soft overall we have a wonderful time here thank you!

Lamer is a perfect place to relax and unwind and “the duchess” completes my day, I was looking for a unique dessert to pair with my Arabic coffee and Miss Heavenly suggest the avocado and Pistachio dessert, it was so amazing. Me and my husband tried also the orange sponge cake and it was superb. This restaurant is not only good for breakfast but it is excellent for coffee and sweets as well, thanks to Miss Heavenly she’s the most consistent and friendly staff that We’ve met I think she’s the supervisor and I must say she knows how to handle guests very well, over all the duchess is a must to visit.

I’ve been coming to this lovely place for quite a while now and I absolutely love it. The menu is well detailed and each dish is tasty, superbly presented and well balanced. There’s a veg and kids options and a huge variety of coffees and teas, every Wednesday after 6pm there’s a promotion that gives you a complementary second dessert. One of my fave waiting staff is Emma, she’s a gem and will take a good care of you. Invite your family, spouse or friends for a late sophisticated breakfast by the beach, trust me, you won’t be disappointed.

I´ve been there three times now and all of them everything was great: The food was amazing and was served with a very professional service and very friendly. The place is absolutely stunning because you can see the sea but also they have a great system of glasses´ doors that can be closed if the wind is annoying. Chef Jason Walsh came to greet us at the end and he was very warm and welcoming. Definitely a place to always come back!

As always my favourite restaurant all time to chill and enjoy the beach view is Duchess. The food, drinks and service are the best. Irqam is friendly and gave us nice recommendations and service. Today I had truffle fries, shakskuka pizza, orange sponge cake and French toast. It's a must!

Yesterday was my second visit to The Duchess for breakfast with my friends and good that I chose this resturant as all my friends loved it .. their food was awsome we ordered French toast twice it was yummy .. Pancake.. Herb Benidict and sheese croissant.. their service was very good fast and polite

Lovely location, good breakfast, attentive service and outstanding Spanish Latte. I ordered a Scrambled Shakshouka and a Pistachio & Avocado dessert. The Shakshouka was presented well and was very flavorful. The dessert was not too sweet, just the way I like it, and balanced the subtle flavors of Pistachio and Avocado perfectly to avoid any guilt of over indulgence. The Spanish Latte with in-house Espresso cubes was just divine. Seldom have I enjoyed this form anywhere else as much as I did here. Price point is slightly high thanks to the location. But the food and service cover up for it. Sure shot winner!!
