Visiting this restaurant is an experience on its own, so vintage looking

The Iranian tradition kept alive! Located in the vicinity of Al Fahidi metro station this restaurant is a feast for meat and Kebab lovers!
The photograph filled walls speaks of the restaurant’s many years of existence. The humble, jovial and welcoming nature of the staff and it’s owners is a delightful experience.. Not forgetting, the food speaks volumes too!
Highly recommended.

Tip: Visit early to avoid having to wait for a table.
One of the most iconic dining spots in the city,it has been visited by nearly every celebrity who has been to Dubai ,the restaurant is filled with photos of thousands of celebrities and happy customers who dine here, the owners are very kind and welcoming and the restaurant has a very cozy, warm and homely feel to it,the prices are much cheaper than other restaurants who provide similar quality food and the food is authentic Persian, yogurt chicken/mutton kebabs and shish tawook are my recommendations,it is always jam packed and very busy on weekends, surely worth a visit.
One of the oldest & hidden gems in Dubai. Known for being one of the few places that is still run by the family, that serves authentic Iranian food, at cheap prices.
The place is very small, but well decorated with old notes/pictures from the time the family arrived in Dubai.
Food is freshly cooked, and the portions are enough for a feast.
The only glitch about this place is the parking. On the very rare occasions I was able to visit this place, I had to go around several times to get a spot. Maybe come by metro and walk to it.
The only unique place at its speciality for Kebab lovers in whole UAE. The most favorite are Mutton Yogurt Kebabs always.

Crowded in the evenings, but the food is worth it. Also the brothers who run it are very funny.
Ordered the mixed grill. The marination was lovely and the meats just cooked right!!
Service was good. No hipe or fuss over the customers but friendly and efficient.
Nice soup, raita, tomato/sweet onion combination with the super light kababs and humus...
THE BEST AS ALWAYS.. Myself and my family have been dining here for the past 25 years and the food tastes great as always.
@ostadi_1978 A place with amazing food, themed decor and good presentation of food.
we ordered the ' Joujeh Kabab and Kabab khas ' with hummus. The flavor were simple yet very delicious, and kabab are served with either rice or bread depends on what you choose.
The salad along with yogurt sauce with mint which you will get before your meal is fresh, healty and tasty too.
Must try this place!
This is my favorite kebab place! Everything here is so tasty! I really love their kebab, hummus, also their yogurt sauce mixed with mint. Plus they have free tea which is my fave part after eating! And also the owner is so friendly. I really do recommend this place especially for those who are so picky. You will surely love their food!
Their special kabab is worth all the hype. Its super juicy and the favor is out of this world. Also the owner is always at the desk and is a very pleasant guy! Have ordered for delivery from here as well and they are quite on time with no delays.
Great place for a meet-up with friends. My favourite dish is Joujeh Chicken Kebab and Chicken Kabab Khas. The flavours were really simple. Neither very spicy nor too bland. The service is quick and also the owner is also very friendly.
This place serves the best Iranian Kebabs in town. They nail every dish on their menu. My favourites are the Joujeh Chicken Kabab (Chicken pieces marinated in saffron and grilled) and the Cholo Mutton Kabab (Barbequed minced meat with rice).
Simple flavours yet extremely delicious. The kababs are either served with rice & butter or breads. Also, love their mint yoghurt dip. Reasonable prices. Good quality. Prompt service.
It's a story of a young boy named Mohammad Ali Ansari, who left Iran in 1941, during the time of World War II. When all his business were getting flopped, he took 100,000 AED loan from his friend to start this Iranian kebab joint.
.
Hundreds of photos adorn the walls of this restuarant , charting the gastronomic journeys of the past and present patrons. This famous Iranian Joint, situated in Bur Dubai has attracted royalty and celebrities from across the entire Middle east, Bollywood and Hollywood. Crown prince of dubai, Salman Khan , Sharukh Khan, Zaheer Khan(amongst countless other note worthy names), have walked through this humble door to enjoy the best Iranian Food.

I don’t give 5 stars to many restaurants, but this place is a kebab institution!! If its good enough for a Prince 👑 its good enough for me 😊
I ordered the mix grill for two, wow it was sooooo delicious 😋 fresh, succulent meat, super delicious bread and rice.
Al i can say, you have to try!
Parking can be difficult, but if you take the right immediately after the restaurant then the next right again, a few yards down the narrow street there is a paid parking facility.
Service and staff are amazing!!
Highly recommended 👌
THE BEST KEBABS I'VE HAD IN DUBAI.
Their kabab platter for two was fulfilling and i liked how they gave option to substitute kabab of our choice. Yummy food!
This is an absolute "dil se" review.. This place is a perfect 5/5..
Al Ustad Special Kabab is more a feeling than a restaurant..
Staff here is warm and welcoming.. Menu is limited but enough to blow your mind away.. As per the staff's recommendation we ordered Mix grill 2 which had all the special kababs enough for 2-3 people and Rotis.. Hummus was too tempting not to be ordered.. and man the salad that came complementary was so fresh..
All the kababs had something different and special about them and this was explained in detail by the kind person serving us.. I knew about their lentil soup from a youtube video and I am glad we didn't miss out on it..
Ambience is nothing fancy but definitely sweet and filled with so many memories, captured in pictures, framed on the walls.. It definitely has some kind of desi vibe to it..
Lastly both of us shared a cup of Irani Tea that brought about a perfect end to the lovely evening.
Must..Must..Must.. visit..
My most favourite Iranian restaurants. The ambience is soo attractive ,there is soo much to look at. One can never get bored in this restaurant .
The food is delicious . Their joojeh and kubeidah kababs are a must try . The Staff is very courteous.
A great spot for tourists .
I always enjoy my time here.
Will definitely go again and again 😋
I never tasted such taste variety in kebab. Each one of them was different in kebab. Definitely an achievement. Sitting is not fancy at all looks very local but food is definitely worth it
Ordered Mutton Kubideh with rice. Chelo Kebab. It was nice and tender but maybe my expectations were more
Salad was very crunchy and fresh.
Suggest to provide butter instead of margarine to make the rice more fragrant.
Also wish the hospitable owner / staff had been more suggestive and consulting from what I had heard.
Overall good place for food, ambience, but I think I was expecting too much.
Sulaimani tea with a floating mint leaf was a nice way to end the meal.
Me and one of my friend visited it for the first time
The ambience is just so interesting... U will never get bored if the food is taking much time to prepare... Theres just so much to look at
Everyone knows this restaurant to be famous for the popularity among the royal family and celebrities around the world
I loved their mix chicken kebab and their special mutton kabab khas!!!
I have become a fan of kabab khas 🔥
The owner is super friendly and down to earth
The staff is polite and attentive
Surprisingly due to covid19 this restaurants still was very much crowded even at 6pm
Definitely going back again!!
Read such nice reviews about this restaurant, i was wanting to visit it since long. Finally got to visit it a few days back. Fairly spacious restaurant with some good friendly staff.
Ordered for their signature kebab Khaas, we went for the mutton kebab which is very well marinated in yogurt and grilled to perfection. We even tried the mix kebabs in the menu as suggested by the server.
We had two combo meal,it was amazing
Definitely our go to place when we are on that side of town. The mix for 2 is just on point. What makes this place worth visiting apart from the food is photographs on the wall and the superb brothers who are such excellent hosts Talab rocks! Without any shadow of doubt the kebabs are the very best. But be warned you may be sitting next to a stranger which I guess aint that bad and it does get packed.
For Persian kebabs, there's no better experience than eating at @ostadi_1978. It's not just the food, but the eclectic ambience and super friendly hosts that make sure you keep coming back for more

This platter is the 'mix for 3' which has Kabab Khas (mutton marinated in yoghurt and barbequed and chicken marinated in yoghurt and barbequed), Joujeh Kebab (chicken cubes marinated in saffron and barbequed) and Sultani Kebab (mutton tenderloin and minced barbequed) amongst other delicious and perfectly cooked kebabs. Don't forget to order some saffron rice to go with it and the yummy chicken soup with dill and lentils
A very old but famous joint which has groomed it self alot in past few years. Still have not lost its touch in flavour.
Best Mixed Grill in Dubai! It is always packed, but service is fast and food awesome!

One of the best Iranian food restaurants in Dubai...very authentic cuisine and extremely fresh meats served through a friendly service. Love the overall experience!
An authentic kabab place. The food is great though little over priced. But the kababs will never disappoint you. Their mint tea is free and its the best way to end the meal. The kababs are juicy and full of flavours.
One of the best Iranian restaurants in all UAE. Quick delivery, quality food. Simply delicious. If you never tried this restaurant is MANDATORY to try once.
Wonderful place to try out kebabs.. very famous with old timers of Dubai.
Lovely kebabs.. full of flavours.. great service..

Al Ustad is the kebab shop of the Dubai. It is an Iranian restaurant Bur Dubai, and is famous for their grilled kebabs and other traditional dishes.
We go here quite often and always have a platter of all their different kebabs. The kebabs are usually served with French fries, and a bowl of fresh and cold mint yoghurt is served before the food.
I would also suggest to have their suleimani chai (black tea) after the food as it's a great end to a filling meal. Also, there are complimentary dates and caramel toffees that you can have here before you leave.
The ambience here is amazing, and the place has a great vibe to it. The walls are filled with pictures of customers who have visited here from all around the world.

Its not a fancy place. But their walls are the best. Every single inch of aalls is covered with photos of Celebrities who visit this place. And anyone can bring their photp of visit and the waill attactch it on wall. Its famous really really famous.. Rulars, Sportsman ... Actors everyone has visited this place. Best is their mutton kababs. Mutton tikka was also good. Chicken was ok. Bit pricey for that location. But for kababs its really good.
The kababs here were to die for ❤️
I loved this place 🎉
They also have the best hummus and tahini sauce 🧆🌯🥙
I loved the food here 👌🏻
Very old place in bur dubai for Kabab. Tried first time after one of my friend suggested and we really liked it. Best Iranian restaurant serving Kababs.
The place is filled with so much nostalgia , the pics on the wall speak about the great legacy it holds hosting celebrities and diplomats. Truly a place to find the best Iranian kebabs . If you are new to the place ask for the platter menu . It’s simply irresistible. Awesome food experience and must try for a local foodie.
Went for team lunch for the first time and food was excellent. The ambience was good and unique.

At this original Iranian restaurant they served us 6 different types of kebabs with different meat cuts, spices and accompaniments...restaurant full of pictures of celebrities, table full of different currencies of the world and really good food...
One of the most famous and oldest restaurants in Dubai. They serve some delicious Iranian Kebabs. We ordered for a plate of rice and kebab which was good enough for 1 pax.

The kebabs were juicy the fries were perfect go to this place if your looking for irani kebab #goherenow
The restaurant looks very fascinating from outside with all the photos put up on the walls inside.
We were greeted by the friendly staff and the entire ambience felt so lively. It's difficult to get a place during dinner especially during weekend. Plan a little time for this as waiting time is generally not so long. They have a quick service.
I would recommend go for the combo meal offers they have and not the ala carte menu. They serve variety of kebabs. You can customise this, just request the staff on what kind of kebabs you prefer. Kebabs come along with salad, bread (this is actually a rumali roti) and curd. Try the hummus. Best thing about their kebabs are that they are juicy, soft and cooked exactly the right way.
You can also order for zafran rice and kebabs. Though I didn't have this but the aroma from the table next to be was tempting.
Spend some time looking at the different currencies under the table glass.
This is a read value for money.
We walked past this restaurant on the way to the grand mosque and saw the open kebab grill kitchen and decided to give a try. This is our first time trying Iranian cuisine. The complementary dates were very delicious and we liked the hummus and kebabs as well. The service was friendly and the serve was generous. Definitely worth a visit.
I discovered this restaurant a few months ago and each time I am around the area I will ONLY go here for lunch or dinner! The food and quality is exceptional. A real hidden gem!
One of the oldest and famous place in Dubai, perhaps in UAE. Kebabs are really good, in particular yoghurt marinated kebabs. Place is full of owner pictures with celebrities, staff attitude was just ok, seems they know they have customers and don’t pay much attention on service. Average Price is slightly higher than similar restaurants. Serving size was reasonably good, no desserts and no drinks (except soft drinks). Overall it’s good if you are around that area but may not be worth of travel. Parking is almost impossible and very expensive in private car parks.
We are new to the city and my husband & I stumbled upon it while walking Al Fahidi. I was famished and it was my happiest evening when my hunger met it's new home - this beautiful Iranian restaurant! Right from the moment you enter you are welcomed very warmly by the owner himself and we were brightened by the manner in which the restaurant has been decorated. Very warm and vibrant interiors. And the soul is satisfied with the succulent kebabs and the cholos are simply divine and sumptuous - all for a very reasonable meal ! It's a small menu but you really can't get bored or wrong in your choice. Don't miss it on your trip !
Best regards to the owners who are so passionate about their food house - they are super friendly and approachable, always checking on their guests and setting the positive vibes to the place. Rare quality nowadays, if you know what I mean :)

This place not to miss in Dubai
Finally landed up at one of the older restaurants in Dubai. The owner was super friendly and the staff very helpful and patient despite us being a large (and chaotic) group. Good that touches your heart. And experiences that make you a part of the traditions of this place. My best wishes to the team here. Keep going strong!
