BEST BEST BEST IRANIAN RESTAURANT IN TOWN. Very yummy and fresh food cannot get enough of it. So nice for families also wheelchair friendly which is very helpful. Owner is so friendly he is there most of the time to check on his customers needs and making sure everyone is satisfied, also staff are very friendly and nice. Everything from the moment we step into the restaurant until we left was perfect from food to atmosphere to staff.
ps. The president of dubai also visited a couple of times

@dubaifoodbabes on instagram

Everything is perfect, a tad too expensive even for the good quality they provide.

Food is really amazing. Service is good and timely but we were suggested to get mixed grill and to have veal instead of lamb. And when we got our bill it was 160 aed. It was shock. Mixed kebab with kubideh and lamb cubes is 124 aed. When ordering it we weren't notified that it will be such big difference in price. And veal isnt on menu yet. We couldn't know price. 😐 feeling screwed now 😑

Most authentic Persian food - try their kebab koobideh. The best service you will ever get in Dubai! They’re super polite, helpful, and attentive.

Bahar is a casual Iranian resturant located in Dubai Marina; the location is good and it has got a nice view and comfortable outdoor sitting, services is good and quick, food is really average and it is very expensive in compare to the quality, we have ordered Halim Bademjan for appetizer which is typical Iranian starter and you can find it in most of Iranian resturant, I was shocked to see the portion size which was too small for Iranian food portion , to be honest I have never seen Iranian portion that small !! Nevertheless I was at least expecting good taste if the portion was not satisfying however I can say the taste was very very bad !! They either need to remove it from their menu or learn how to make it! Then for the main course we ordered Kabab Koobideh which was very good, the meat quality was great , also we ordered Baghali Polo with Shank , it was average ( 3 out of 5) , they also served tea which was very nice tea, the best in this resturant was Kebab Koobide and spicy pickles , the rest was extremely average and price is too high for the food quality, u can get the same food or even better in other Persian Resturant 40% less even in Dubai Marina restaurants; luckily we had Zomatto Gold so we got some discount otherwise I have to say the food is very expensive for the quality and the set up

In comparison to the quality of the foods the prices are really high and shocking.i think it’s better to either improve the quality or revise the prices

I can't believe how beautiful this place is. How professional and friendly the staff are. The chef even, visited my table and asked if I enjoyed the food. As a start I had very taste bread with feta cheese, vegetables & red grapes! The portions are slightly big and filling. Coming again, very soon!

I left this restaurant feeling happy, satisfied and... for the want of a better word, full. I'll say straight up that this is a restaurant that, without a question, deserves a visit.

Food: We chose to visit Bahar to celebrate the Iranian new year. And we're thoroughly glad we did. The set menu on offer included:
- Mast-o-khiar (yoghurt with herbs and cucumber)
- Deimaj (salad that loosely resembles greek salad)
- Pistachio soup
-Haleem Bademjan
- Joojeh kabab and Kabab koobideh OR Kabab mahi
- Selection of three types of rice: Sabzi polo - traditional for the new year, Polo sefid - white rice, and Zereshk polo - rice with barberries.
- Traditional Iranian ice cream with carrot juice
- Iranian tea.

In a nutshell, everything was lovely and high quality. Highlights were the kabab mahi, joojeh kabab, haleem bademjan and the ice cream.

Ambiance: The setting is really, really lovely, particularly when you sit outside at this time of year. The marina provides a lovely backdrop for your dinner. We didn't experience indoor seating ourselves, but that, too, looks nice.

Service: Despite how good the food was, it was the service here that blew us away. An unfortunate misunderstanding when it came to ordering was sorted out (and more!) by the manager so quickly, and without fuss, despite what must have been a busy night for him given that it was the new year. He and the staff were always available and waiting on us with a smile. I cannot thank them enough for making the experience one to remember.

Thank you!

Service 5/5
Ambiance 5/5
Taste 4,5/5
Price 4/5

I cannot think of rating this place with a point less than 5. From the very first moment you enter, you are greeted very warmly and to the last moment you feel that staff is always thinking on behalf of you.
Some minor but very valuable examples from staff:
* Proactively brought additional table for more comfort
* Proactively offered to keep our main course hot in the kitchen since we were busy with our baby
* Explained menu in detail and brought tablet for pictures
* Changed plates before main course

Regarding food; they served complimentary yoghurt with mint (cacik in Turkish/tzatziki in Greek cousine) which was the one of the most delicious I ever had. Again complimentary, they brought a huge platter of fresh vegetables, fruit and walnut.

Starter we ordered Halim Bademjan which is a hot dish with eggplant, chickpeas and lentil. It was really a different taste. I was happy to have tried.

We ordered kebab sultani with 2 pieces of huge meat; one fillet and one kebab with huge portion of rice as side. This was more than enough for two; we could not finish. Fillet was great, kebab could have been more spicy for my taste but it was still nice.

One thing to improve might be adding photos to menu since it is not very self-explanatory.

I didnot have time for desserts and tea which was perfectly presented as I saw on other tables. I am looking for my next visit here soon.

Can say it is the best one in town , wonderful service , delicious food , fantastic chef . We really enjoyed our food with beautiful location

The view and decor are magnificent. Congratulations to Mehran Samadpoor and his team for their success in setting up perhaps the best Persian restaurant in Dubai and for adding their artistic touch to Persian cuisine by creating dishes like pistachio soup. The kebabs are the best we ever had and Ghelye Mahi is to die for.
Our sincere thanks to Ms. Shiva and her colleagues who made it a memorable launch for us with their top notch hospitality.

Had some guest from the U.S who wanted to taste Persian cuisine, so took them all to Bahar. The place was great sitting right by the marina waterway with an awesome view and their service was great. The staff were very friendly and kept asking us if everything was fine with the food and service.

The food was good, but the quantity can be certainly improved and so is the pricing. The price way too high and can certainly be looked at. We ordered the kabab mix and the Asheh Reshteh soup. The soup was half bowl and tasted nothing like what we expected.

Bahar is a great place, but not worth the hype given to it. It's a one time try place with lovely staff, great view and a big bill.

Tip : If someone talks about the taste of Asheh Reshteh, you should go and have the one in Arsalan, they have been making authentic Iranian soups for 25yrs and probably the best I've ever known.

I was the best Iranian experience I had ever. The food, place, view, service... etc. all were perfect .
I would like to repeat again soooooon 😀

Never had Persian food before and this place has set a high standard. Food was delicious, staff were very knowledgeable, and the location and ambiance was perfect. Definitely a must try at the Marina :)
Babak
Bahar is my new favorite fine-dining Persian restaurant. The flavors are authentic + the X factor that makes it 'umph'. Great ambience, great service and the food is exquisite. While I have had better lamb chops at Anar, Bahar's chops are delish too. I won't recommend a particular dish because whatever we tried was good so go with your "gut" feel. Parking is available for the customers so don't worry about Marina's lack of parking space. Last but not least, the prices are relatively fair since they do not serve booze (hence no taxes) while Anar and Shabestan are more expensive due to the booze and their more premium locations.

A must-go for a quality Persian experience.
Mahsa
Great food, fresh and tasty, diff Iranian kebabs, I think kebab kobideh is the best one of them, good location, excellent service , friendly atmosphere and beautiful ambience 👌
Memo
The food is not really authentic and not very good so was not satisfied. You may enjoy the place because of nice environment and beautiful view of Marina walk.
The Food Buff
Bahar is the latest addition to the list of persian restaurants in dubai. They are located in Dubai Marina and is already the talk of town after the visit of HH Sheikh Mohammed.
I was quite excited when i got the invite to review Bahar.

Bahar is specialised in traditional persian food.Their menu is quite limited but bahar is the ultimate place to dine in for scrumptious persian food with great ambiance.Their interiors are very bright and interesting. They have an outdoor seating area with a great view of dubai marina.loved the live music too!!

We tried their kebabs which was very juicy and tender.simply loved the flavors.kebabs were served along with a mix of 3 kinds of Iranian pulav, yoghurt mint raita and salads.pomegranade juice is highly recommended from bahar!!Freshly made Iranian roti was soft and delicious.Meal was quite enjoyable and light. After the meal they served us a pot of tea with saffron infused sugar crystals with Iranian sweets which was quite interesting too!!

If you are looking for persian food with great ambience, bahar is definitely recommended!!

I would also like to highlight the fabulous service we received and we're very well taken care of . Special thanks to a particular staff - Mr Ghani for such a great service! Great attitude , always attentive to us !

(An excerpt from my blog)When you don’t know anything about Persian cuisine you go with the flow. Luckily I am always willing to learn and I have a weakness for good food. It is why I love to travel and explore new countries and opportunities. On this occasion I got to meet what could arguably be the first man in Iranian cuisine in Dubai, Chef Ebrahim.

Soon after we discuss the commonality of spices and aromas, a new freshness envelopes the air around the Dubai Marina. This is a new venue so the staff is pottering about as guests come and go. It is set in La Verda Suites and Villas. We see most people talking in Arabic and a mix of Persian, so many words are similar to Hindi. Could it be a meeting of new cultures all in one spot? Or could it be that we found common ground?
For me, most memories come from food. It seems as if Chef Ebrahim with 35 years experience in the food industry feels the same. “When it comes to our food, we make sure it is never too spicy and always easy to digest,” says the Chef. His assistants come to pour out a tomato based chicken gravy which is cooked with Ivy gourd, (commonly referred to as Tendli in India). There is another green chicken gravy which is slow cooked for a while to tenderise the meat.

This new Persian cuisine venue, called Bahar, has both outdoor and indoor seating options. We chose to enjoy the view of people walking past on a quiet Saturday evening. Dubai always charms me, no matter how many the day or season. Right now we are enjoying such glorious weather and we can see the canal light up in front of our eyes.

“After working at all the top hotels in this city, we decided to set up Bahar here. It is already getting customers from around the world and that makes us happy,” says the chef.

The waiter brings us an aromatic display with the Kabab E Sultani. It’s a lamb fillet cooked on a charcoal grill with other pickled vegetables. We also try the Kabab E Kubideh another lamb delicacy. “We can customise our dishes according to the guest’s taste,” explains the chef who sources most of his ingredients from the local market.

He rushes to the kitchen to oversee what is going on. Meanwhile my attention is transfixed on a plate of rice that comes in to arrest everyone’s attention. Mind you, the rice isn’t decked with a thousand embellishments, all it is scented with is the aroma of saffron.

We ask the chef to indulge in a few house secrets, “Most people will tell you that the highest quality of Saffron comes from Spain, India or any other part of the world. We actually believe comes from Iran,” says the chef. “I make sure we only buy the best. We use it generously. In fact we use the petals and mix them with rose water and boil this for many hours before using it in many of our dishes.”

It is hard to pay attention to all the finer details. Thankfully we haven’t ordered too much because a second visit seems necessary. There are many vegetarian options and one prepared with eggplant just literally melts in my mouth. We listen to the sounds of food being prepared indoors. The language is not familiar but there’s a harmony of cultures everywhere.

Suddenly a platter of saffron infused fillet Mignon arrives. Not particularly Persian is my first thought. I soon realise that this is adapted to the surroundings. It is accompanied by a large blue pot of herbal tea. “We like to serve our guests every little bit of heaven,” says Ghani, the Indian waiter who has faithfully followed the chef over the course of an illustrious career. Tea water is poured in to a tulip shaped glasses and a sugar infused saffron stick is kept at the side. Now I know why my own father says that the Shah of Iran drank White Tea. My own family back home deals with White Tea and I’m only beginning to learn its many calming effects.

As we leave the premises I am sure to return to this warm and hospitable place that is only beginning to share its magic.
Beautiful Afternoon Tea place... a hideout tucked inside Dubai Marina with a beautiful view and beautiful staff to greet guests. Good food and ambience...

Being a new restaurant (opened in Feb of 2017) the cutlery, tables, chairs etc.. were in great condition. The location is in a hotel, and you get a nice view of the marina and see the people walk/jog past by.
We were a party of 5 and we ordered the halim badenjan (which was very good), the boneless joje kabab, the humur fish and the bakhtiari kabab. All were very tasty. The only fault that I could find in the food was the fact that the rice was basmati and not Iranian rice. But then again I have yet to find an Iranian restaurant in Dubai that serves Iranian rice and not basmati.
for deserts, we ordered the fallodeh and some tea. The fallodeh was ok, but nothing to write home about. I would suggest the fallodeh from Afrina in Dubai as it does taste better. On the positive side you get a big pot of tea and much to my surprise it was complementary.
The service was also very good, however at times we felt as if were being pushed too fast. We were barely done with our food and the staff came to ask if they could collect it. Felt like they were being monitored too much.
All in all, if you are fan of Persian cuisine, I highly recommend this place. It is better than places such as Abshar, Pars and Farsi by a mile.

A new Persian restaurant in Marina with excellent food, service and view. We really enjoyed the food the pistachio soup was something new and it's a must try. The kebabs were really good but the fish curry was excellent.

Bahar is the most authentic , delicious restaurant my Iranian husband has visited . The Halim Bademjan was to die for and the zeresh polo just like my mother in law used to make . Fresh bread cooked on the premises and attentive staff. A wonderful evening with wonderful food . This place is a "winner"

Bahar is Dubai’s newest Persian-Iranian restaurant. And it very well could turn out to be one of Dubai’s best. Located on the water-front level of the La Verda Hotel in Dubai Marina, diners enjoy an expansive view of the marina canal. The interior is tastefully decorated in colours of the peacock throne with an abundance of rich turquoise everywhere, and a delightful collection of Persian princesses adorning many of the walls. Brainchild of Mehran Samadpour, whose past exploits include Shabestan and Anar, Bahar was conceived to represent contemporary Persian cuisine. Adding to Bahar’s impressive pedigree, Mehran brought across Master Chef Noroozi from Shabestan. Noroozi brings a treasure chest of experience and authentic recipes to the Bahar kitchen.
Mansoor Madani
Finally the much anticipated Bahar , which was promising to out class the competetors in its authentecity and remeniscent of true Persian cuisine is open for business with freindly staff and welcoming ambience set at the La Verda hotel with great veiw of the Marina. As expected the food is prepared with minimal fuss sticking to the basic tested method of using the best available ingredients cooked to perfection. I tried the Ash e Doogh and Soup peste (pisatchio) which was just great. Kubideh and the rice was close to finest Kabab in Tehran or Tabriz and in my opinion way above the rest. The chef explained the secret to the taste was pure lamb freshly grounded with almost nothing else . My comapnions tried the Tas kabab and Khoresht Bamiya. i nibbled and wow they were great. I was invited to taste their other sprciality , the Baghali polo with Mahicheh ( lamb shank) and its as good as the way Mamas used to cook it when entertaining those dear to them. If you are looking for where to find the best Iranian food in town then take my word and give it a try. Well done Mehran .
