Placed our lunch time order for myself, my wife and my son. My wife asked the waiter to see if one of the pasta dishes could be done with gluten free pasta- the waiter said yes (she asked to double check with the kitchen as he seemed dull). I ordered a burger and my son the fish and chips. My sons fish and chips and our drinks came out as ordered and in a timely manner. My wife’s dish wasn’t gluten free and the kitchen knew nothing about my wife’s request. She was asked to select another dish. 30 minutes later her order arrived but my burger hadn’t- had never been put through. After an hour at Jones the Grocer we left hungrier than we arrived. Poor English and communication skills amongst the staff at western prices- only in Dubai.

Great food, good service (if a little disjointed..). We arrived around 11.20am on a Friday - so on the cusp of breakfast/brunch/lunch. Ordered 1 dish from lunch menu and 1 from breakfast menu, and a kids fish and chips. Food good on the whole (batter on fish undercooked and soggy, 3 year old wouldn't eat it). Steak special was great, eggs and bacon were ok. Food service was painfully slow - you can't expect a 3 year old or wait 45 minutes for their meal, please consider fast tracking kids meals orders going forward. Love the concept, Love the theatre, Just needs a polish on the service. We'll be back.

I have been visiting JtG for the past 5 years. Last time was Friday 5th May 2017 around 11 AM. The portions have gone much smaller than before. I was utterly disappointed. The staff responsiveness has also deteriorated compared to the past. I had to cancel my already-in-display dessert because it was taking forever to get the bloody tart.
Andrew Mckeown
Visited For breakfast and ordered the acai bowl. While it looked great when it arrived at the table it tasted only of warm banana and peanut butter. It certainly shouldn't be described as an acai bowl.

So this branch in Qatar closes every Friday from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm, I was walking for a long time and passed by this restaurant which was still open at the closing time on Friday?? People sitting outside and inside enjoying their time eating and having coffee, so I went to the staff asking for a bottle of water because I was thirsty and she tells me "Sir we can't serve you at this time" because their supposed to be closed. Ok got the point but what about the people inside the restaurant are they supposed to be served? Aren't I like them? Long story short I asked for the manager and he says "Ok Sir we will serve your water" next thing I know is a staff coming to me with a plastic glass of tap room temperature water???!!!!! Seriously did I ask for a free water when there is a huge fridge in front of me with millions of bottles inside. This is unethical and the staff have no manners, little do they know they are representing big Chain of restaurant in the UAE and have bad Image in Doha. This is not the Jones the Grocer I know. Very bad I'm not going to visit again after making me feel like a beget. Unethical

My first time to one in Dubai after trying out an AD branch last year. Both times for full English breakfast. Loved it, though disappointed i couldn't swap my plum tomatoes (yuck) for baked beans unless i paid an extra 15 aed? Bit tight i thought! Service and staff great and all the lovely extra stuff you can purchase there make it well worth a visit.

Great food and concept are awesome, cheese room and go on...

Liked the food and the ambience, but the service was a little slow. Expected because it was a Saturday afternoon and the place was so busy, but the waiters were super nice nonetheless.

Chicken bone in the chicken sandwich. Always. That's it I can say.

Pretty nice place. Location is not all that great. Menu is decent with dietary options. Prices are typical Dubai prices.

This restaurant has been one of my favorites for the last five years. I've took so many visitors here and often come here with friends. Today my opinion of the place has took a huge nose dive. I walked in at 8:15 and the place was very quiet and I wasn't greeted as I entered. This didn't bother me and I went to find a table. My friend came not long after and we ordered our breakfasts. Mine came around 10 minutes after we ordered which again was great. However my friends breakfast was wrong and had to be took away. It then took another 20 mins to swap fried eggs to scrambled. We chased this a number of times and the staff seemed clueless to what was going on. We are both also 6 month pregnant and we asked for some water for our table. We waited 15 minutes to have some water arrive with no apology at all! This was after asking 3 times if our water was on its way. Off I go to use the bathroom and there was no tissue in the toilets or hand towels! So disgusting and very shocked to see the standards slip so much in the last few months. So disappointed with this mornings visit and now I know that I will stick to BYSTRO when I'm in this area. You get greeted, you get amazing service and you get the correct food!
Kristie Stefaniuk
Great concept but the service needs a lot of work! Went the other evening and ordered very specifically. Reiterated twice. Food came out wrong for that person and they had to wait for a remake. No offer to compensate or make it right...until we were walking out the door. No thanks for the free coffee as we walk out the door. Won’t visit again.

Great food and amazing staff! Well worth a visit.

Beautiful and lovely food .. unlucky some waiters and the manager have to clue how to deal with customers.. really bad attitude, pretending they don't see us when we want to order.... within 1 hour we experience the same bad attitude.. can hardly believe!! A place NOT to come back

This place is known for healthy yet delicious sandwiches! Really enjoyed the service and food out here. They have an amazing range of cheesy, spicy, earthy toasties. We tried their togarashi Toastie and sweet potato and raclette Toastie. It was quite good and to end this beautiful meal, we went ahead with the gorgeous coconut coated Australian dessert (sponge cake) called Lady Lamingtons. Over all, had a great time.

The type of dishes is different from other venues in Dubai. The food is tasty and fresh. I particularly like the breakfast options. However, I found the service too slow, especially for paying.
Sam
Absolutely the worse in SZR branch! Made me wait 20 mins to get my order, when called someones attention, I was asked to wait again while they finish serving another table, 10 mins later, the same person is seating other customers. I have to call another person to get our order. 30 mins later no food but guests who were seated 15mins later than us were able to get their food. When I call who I think is the ‘manager’, I was asked to hold on for a minute - got up to walked out, the same guy who told us to wait saw us, no reaction at all

Unprofessional, ruined my weekend morning. Will never ever ever patronized Jones the Grocer for wasting 1 hour of my day without any apologies at all

I love the whole vibe of this place ! A perfect place to have a scrumptious breakfast 🥞 with many options for vegan and gluten free .. we went there for brekkie after a beautiful morning spent at Jumeirah beach and I had ordered almond latte and avocado pesto on toast👌🏼 .. a busy place usually on weekends but definitely a must try !! @Jonesthegrocer Al Raha

And of course, their famous Pistachi-yo was amazing!!!!

No doubt I am coming back real soon! I am curious to try their chicken dishes and seafoods.

I was here for lunch one afternoon with the family and loved the experience. I love how Kid friendly this place is. My little girl was handed over some crayon and activity papers to color while we waited for our meal.

I have been here a couple of times before and they are always busy which goes to show how popular this place is. Love the look and vibe of this place and the food is delicious too.

We called for a Mac and cheese for our little girl, I ordered for a Bombay Chilli toastie and the husband called for a dish that is called Something Smashing.

The Mac and Cheese is extremely delicious however is really heavy, my little girl loved it but couldn't eat too much as its super creamy and rich. The Bombay Chilli Toastie has loads of cheese and chilli flakes with omlette in the toastie, loved every bite. The best from our savory dishes was the Something Smashing, it was grilled sweet potato topped with avocado, poached eggs and was goodness in every bite.

Ended the meal with coffee, Honey cake and a Pecan Bar. The Pecan Bar is a sure not to miss when here, it was divine. The Honey cake was fresh and delicious too. The quality of the food here is really good, everything is prepared fresh and is full of flavor. The prices are a bit on the higher side but surely worth it.

Internal Decor was good, prices high. Once we see these high prices we belief that service would be of top class as well as quality (if not quantity) but it was very disappointing experience. We family of 4 went on lunch and it was not very busy. One of the server said she is new and doesn’t know about what we asked about their promoted toasties so she brought another person to answer our query. We ordered 1 “We meat again steak 🥩” and 3 “The ultimate Mr Jones Wagu beef burger 🍔” but to our utmost surprise we were served only 1 steak (that was very chewy and almost half was fat) and 1 burger only (instead of 3) (plus normal knife was served not the steak knife) upon our inquiry Server kept insisting that we ordered 1 burger and not 3 burgers (that’s was not true as my whole family witnessed we ordered 3 burgers) he didn’t even feel sorry or excuse and after arguments he said to give him 10 more minutes and he’d bring the remaining 2 burgers (but then he even didn’t follow up) when we asked again the status and wasn’t happy as the rest of the food that was served earlier were cold unfortunately and one can think of the steak as how it taste when it’s cold and when it was already chewy. Our family lunch and family time got spoiled and the worst ever experience. Striked down this option from our list and not coming back here ever again. Wagu Burger was good as well as deserts Pistachio and Bite Coffee cake.

I am a regular customer in this restaurant. I love the salads and desserts. They have many healthy options. I recommend this place!

Amazing food and the staff are super polite, very conveniently located in Seikh Zayed road, packed even on the weekdays.
Murtuza Doriwala
Waited 40 minutes for my food before I enquired with a different server to find out that my order had never been placed by my initial server itself. Walked out of the restaurant an hour since entering on an empty stomach. No sort of remorse or apologetic behavior was shown by the staff for their incompetency either. Was not expecting such sort of treatment from a place I visit often.

Jones never lets you down, although the a little pricey the food always taste amazing and fresh, and the coffee is to die for .
Danielle Murnane
I was invited to a cheese toastie tasting at Jones for the launch of their Raise Your Toastie menu. I was blown away by the different flavoured toasties and the quality ingredients used to create them.

I tried four of their cheese toastie variations including chicken coleslaw, kimchi, sweet potato and Grilled halloumi and chickpea all made from their huge cheese selection and homemade breads.

My favourite was the sweet potato with gruyere cheese. My mouth waters just thinking about it. I can’t wait to come back to try more of their delicious dishes!

We are fan of this place as a location. It's a great place to brunch over weekend/ weekday.

French toast & Eggs Benedict here is awesome. Over all, the ambience and food is totally worth it

I was recently invited to @jonesuae for dessert tasting. I was served with a super tempting dessert platter that consisted of beautiful Instagrammable pastries and cakes

These luscious pastries were literally a piece of art but they didn't just look presentable & drool worthy but were actually very fresh and moreish. Some of my favourite ones from the tasting session were honey cake, work of tart & lotus heaven. Do give this place a try to satisfy your sweet cravings. These sweet treats are not to be missed ❤

What an amazing experience at @jonesuae Almost everything you order here if perfect! I totally loved the food here. Beef Wagyu Burger is their signagure dish and trust me it’s something one shouldn’t miss when visiting @jonesuae Talking about the decor, they have one of the amazing ambience, its a casual fine dine with all about food and central show kitchen 🤩 The staffs were very attentive and always on their toes to serve 👏🏼 kudos to them 👏🏼 Definitely i am visiting again ❤️

Went for a family breakfast today and after waiting for my food for 45 minutes I enquired with several staff members about my food. Another 15 minutes later the waiter who took my order asks me ‘did you order food?’ To which I replied yes, and you should remember my order. He then promptly recalled my order and says I didn’t punch the order. I then asked for the bill without receiving my meal.

Despite the Manager discussing the issue with the waiter, nobody had the courtesy to come and apologize to me.

One piece of advice: you are in the business of customer service and the least you can do is address an issue and resolve a matter.

Terrible experience.

I have ordered traditional English breakfast , the egg was well done even I ordered medium and some of the shell was still there ! However the cutlery was as the photo ! Clearly cleaning the cutlery is not priority here !

Anyway Service was good.

Love the food but the prawn linguine is always good and so is the fish & chips!

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and we definitely had a hearty & healthy breakfast at @jonesuae located Sheikh Zayed Road (opposite Time Square Centre) Al Manara, Dubai. We had a fresh start with Classic Benny and Jones Traditional English Breakfast along with Cappuccino #musttry
.
.
Follow me @foodmaps_dxb
.
.
When you have 🥓 bacon and 🥚 eggs for breakfast, the 🐔 chicken makes a contribution, the 🐮 cow makes a commitment and we made sure that we had both contribution and commitment in our first meal of the day. While BAE feasted on Jones Traditional English Breakfast which is comprised of eggs on sourdough, beef sausages, beef bacon, sautéed mushrooms, baby spinach, vine tomatoes and home-made hash browns for just AED 64/-, I cherished every single bite of Classic Benny, the silky-creamy poached eggs, beef bacon, asparagus, alfalfa sprouts, hollandaise on a baked muffin for just AED 58/-
.
.
#jonesthegrocer was born in Sydney Australia, in 1996 over two decades ago and has come a long way on a gastronomic journey with the same focus of sharing a passion for food. They are called Jones the grocer for a reason. It’s because they thrive on bringing the best products from the best artisanal producers around the world both on and off the menu. Besides the home ground they have nested around Cambodia, Singapore, Qatar, and UAE. @jonesuae has many outlets around Dubai and Abu Dhabi, one each in Sharjah and Al Ain
🎯 Eggsistential crisis
.
.
#jonesthegrocer #jonesuae #breakfastlover #breakfast #brekkie #brekkiegoals #healthybreakfast #resturantsindubai #englishbreakfast #livetoeat #foodislife #mrandmrsfoodiewe #foodmapsdxb

We have ordered noodles with sea bus, meat balls & pasta from kids menu, pasta with bolones. Foods was not delicious. I like spicy food but Noodles was too much spicy then not possible to eat. The waitress helped they changed the meal. Prices are overpriced even according to dubai..

Great atmosphere and food is extremely fresh. Staff are professional and courteous. Good vegetarian options and really great flavors. Get your groceries while there :)
Had breakfast and lunch here. I love the setup as it gives you the warmth atmosphere and very relaxed.
The staff is very attentive, always on the ball at making sure customers are taken care of.
Food is always good but my company felt that the sausage is a little on the salty side but then again those kind of sausages (tasted a few others in english breakfast sets) tend to (I told her that) so she finished them all 😂
I had lemon ginger tea (I’m a tea person so all tea is good to me) it was really nice as they prepare it just about right before it is served to you so you could enjoy it as soon as it is served.
Desserts were fabulous, had the double chocolate and carrot cake...worth the extra gym time 😅

I love Jones the Grocer, to me eating at JoG is a way of treating myself as I love the way treat food, to every details. However the Battered Atlantis Cod was not at all up to their food standard. The cod lacked any taste as it was missing salt, which is basics. It tasted like frozen fish fingers that you get at grocery store. The staff is super amazing no doubt. The potato fries became the hero in this dish, perfect combination crisp and soft, however the cod lacked this attention.
Zeina Kabbara
Jones the Grocer is always a good idea. Yummy burgers. I remember their Wagyu burger used to be better though. The pasta was amazing the sauce is just on pointe!

Sorry again, for the half plates pictures. Started eating and then realized I needed to take pictures for this review.

This branch is huge and spacious loved the vibe I was getting, we were lucky cause they were giving offer that day which was 99dhs for 3 dishes.

My friend and I shared that, we ordered the lentil soup which tasted like the Indian dal it was alright. For mains we got the seabass with soba noodles which tasted really good and had an authentic touch to it! For dessert it was the creme brulee which we savoured.

Would definitely go back to try their breakfast menu!

Comfort food central!
Attentive, friendly service and a super tasty breakfast menu makes for a repeat visit! Don’t forget to pick up some cheese to take home from the deli!

We were searching for a Brunch kinda vibe , so decided to head to jones the grocer on sheikh zayed road.

My brother bad tried it before in singapore , so we expected similar menu items which sadly were not there !

However all in all the staff are nice , the food is good , and fast !

I recommend the seabass with the soba noodles! Loved it

Visited this place for breakfast... staff was extremely polite & friendly esp Abbas.. food was normal but portions & juice in Mason jar don’t justify the price...🙄

The location is quite convenient and the restaurant is quite spacious and I like the atmosphere. The food overall was pretty good and value for money (we had Breakfast), the service was excellent and very friendly staff. Highly recommended.

Place was nice and specious, however ac was bit to strong and we had to sit to another table since we were with small kids.
Service was very good.
Food we had looked regular and nothing special so I consider it overpriced

We went there for a business lunch, the food is really high in quality and the ingredients are just so fresh.

Their menu is limited but the dishes are cooked to perfection.

The ambiance is nice too, its different then the other restaurants in Dubai.

While your there, do try their coffee and desserts.

Went on the quick one

Good service
Great ingredients

Tasted some cold meats from charcuterie whilst waiting for food

Harissa chicken with Moroccan couscous
Cod and thick chips with minted tartare

Good size portions

Horrible first time experience. The place was busy, so when we made our order the food arrived after an hour and a half. We told the waiter that we have been waiting for an hour now he said the food will arrive in 5 minutes. and then we waited for another 30 minutes then the manager served the food. when we complained to the manager that we have been waiting for an hour and half for the food he was unprofessional and very defensive saying that, “when I said 5 minutes to the waiter you received the order in 5 minutes”, after explaining that it has been 30 minutes he cut me off saying “anyway, we are apologizing” and then left. The staff’s attitude during high volume of customers was very impolite and rude. I don’t think we will return there again. I don’t recommend it to anyone.

Was craving a full English breakfast. So ended up getting treated to this wonderful place. It has a nice ambience. Great staff, like very DIVERSE and friendly staff, they made me feel right at home. Got the full English with medium poached eggs. It was very tasty, finished everything on the plate. And their orange juice is really good. Food was filling, service was great. This particular branch is gonna be my main spot. Well deserved 5/5.

My favourite JTG in Dubai. Excellent location and more importantly a lovely play area for the kids to keep them busy whilst you enjoy your coffee or meal in peace! Fantastic menu (more options than the Dusit Thani one), a large cheese and meat room and an open counter deli to take your favourite food and pantry items home.
Hitesh Ojha
Went to JTG two weekends back to back.
Enjoyed the food and the atmosphere.
The staff are very friendly and the food is good.
I have heard that the food at the JTG in Abu Dhabi is even better, so definitely will go to the Abu Dhabi outlet at some point.

Australian, European cuisines, now this chain of restaurant has number outlets in Dubai.
Chicken Salad was very good

Wagyu burger smoked beef bacon, cheddar bun was delicious

Ambience was nice. I love how the poached egg was cooked plus the crispy bacon is tasty and crunchy. But we are having difficulty cutting the bread using their knives. Overall food was great.

After being a customer for the last 5 years I will no longer be going back here. The last straw is 8 AED surcharge for vegan milk in my tea. Industry average is 3 aed for a vegan Latte or similar. The tea is already at the top of the price band. This is a cafe not a hotel situated iconic location. Whilst writing I will also mention I had the fish and chips here a week ago and it was shocking bad I had to leave half of it. It was rubbery and just did not seem fresh. I am officially no longer a customer.

Nice place for a bite of salad, burgers and steak. Good service, great for kids and the main part it is yummy. So guys next time u r in jumerah or sz Road and want some thing good and healthy and tasty, do not hesitate. Great place keep up the good work

great place for brunch! quality of food is excellent, really fresh and pure. i would recommend the chickpea shakshuka , eggs are really well poached and the beef chorizo that comes with it is super flavorful! would give this place a 5.. but i have to say it is slightly overpriced.

I love this place! Wagu beef burger is a must here, pulled beef is extraordinary! The sweet and spicy taste is from heaven. Highly recommended if you are in Dubai

Exciting New Dishes.

I was invited by Jones the Grocer last August to try their new menu.
I have always been a fans of theirs.
From the cool and chill ambiance to their diverse and sumptuous dishes.
I couldn’t even wait to try out their new dishes and it is quite a number!
I didnt order everything on the menu but just the one I think is the stand out.
Love their wagyu sliders to bits and their new smoothies are to die for!

Let the pictures tell the story.
This outlet of Jones is on the opposite side of SZR of Times Square Center. It's in Multiplex office building, so easy to spot and ample parking.

We went here for a late lunch and being December the whole restaurant had a Christmasy feel to it. They have business lunch combos for AED 69 in which you can have a main course and a dessert or a salad and main course. They claim that the food falls in healthy category. I still went ahead and opted only for a dessert and a pot of tea. The Apple Crumble Pie with vanilla ice cream was good. The Ginger Lemon Honey tea was good too but you need acquired taste for it. The service is very good and attentive. If you celebrate Christmas, do try their festive turkey.

Next time, I'm gonna hop over to try some real food and of course more of those desserts!
Judy K
The worst staff and manager ever! Called them to order a cheese platter for Christmas. They kept me on the phone for 10 mins, shuffling between 4 staff (including the manager), each not wanting to help and not knowing how and when transferred to the next in line, same questions asked again. Manager was very unhelpful not knowing how to handle the situation at all. No apology from any of the staff (excluding the manager) has been made.

Couldn’t believe I hadn’t visited this store before.
I went to meet a friend and we stayed for 3 hours!

Here’s why you should definitely visit:

- Amazing service, Mr Aadil was exceptional from the minute I arrived to when we left.

-Great deal on the business lunch - very generous portions for a good price.

-Fresh delicious food especially the salad.

-Awesome atmosphere, perfect for meeting with friends,
business, or even with kids as it’s so kid friendly!

Must visit.
Ordered Chargrilled Harissa Chicken, Kid's Battered Atlantic Cod and the Roast Chicken and Avocado Multigrain Sandwich for home delivery. The chicken was totally raw and for some reason smelled like fish. The cod was rubbery in texture and raw from the inside and tasteless. The sandwich was okay.

What you see in the picture above is equally tempting and delicious at the same time. I Bet. This #wagyu #beefburger at @jonesuae ,along with their bois boudrin sauce is quite a steal 💕

As usual the food at jones the grocer was bursting with flavor and really satisfying. Adding the crusted fried Brie to the burger was totally worth it!
The service was slow today although the restaurant only had two other filled tables.
Also, the place smelled like burned oil or something.

One of my favorite places in Dubai! Ceaser salad is perfect, one of the best i ever had . Burgers are super good too and truffle fries are tasty too.
Their soft drinks are “ bio” which is really cool. Recommended

Lil pricey but damn good. Tried them for the first time. Hubby ordered Jones full breakfast and i ordered eggs benedict. We also enjoyed our English tea and skinny flat white. Perfect place to kick start your mornings with hearty breakfast. Or even a catch up session with friends with some super delicious food.

We went few days ago to Jones The Grocer located on Sheikh Zayed Road in Al Manara in the Beautiful City of Dubai. If you haven’t been to Jones The Grocer yet, you might think that it is a normal grocery shop. But actually it is not. Jones The Grocer is an Aussie Cafe that serves mouthwatering dishes but also a Gourmet Food grocery store at the same time.
Munira Hijazi
Love the urban feel and the selection of hour etc foods and products. I love the ambience and interiors. The food in very good. Service was very slow during two of my four visits.

Went here for breakfast a while back. Really enjoyed the food as well as the ambience. The eggs on toast with avocado was super yummy and one of the best I’ve had in a while. We also tried the chocolate croissant which was the perfect end to the meal. Thoroughly enjoyed my experience

I love everything about this place, if you are going for a meeting or casual outing with friends Jones the Grocer will never disappoint you. I will mention two of my favorite items on their menu besides coffee and everything else!

1. The cheese platter ( you tend to choose 4 different types of cheese) that comes with jam, bread and crackers.
2. The coconut pancake with blueberry and pecan crumble and in between the fluffy layers blueberry compote and topped with whipped Greek yogurt that compliments that whole taste!

@thecutleries

When you walk in this restaurant, is always buzzing with pool of good friends or mummies with their babies in tow. very open space with lots of ready condiments to buy from organic matcha to loads of various infused oils. We ordered the Jones special English breakfast and the Salmon poached eggs. delicious and fresh. you left feeling that you have been fed with wholesome quality food.

Amazing breakfast. Friends suggested this place and went to check it out. Was a delightful experience. They had a section for tasters and also cheese and meats. Well laid out and super tasty food. Staff were extremely cordial and suggested appropriately as it was my first time there.

Been there many times, best dish by far is the wagyu burger - one of the best burgers in dubai. Can’t complain about anything, but the only thing special about this restaurant is the wagyu burger

Nice ambiance and good customer service. Only bad thing is you have to ask for everything, they don't anticipate customer needs. Food is a bit pricey.. we ordered fiery steak which is not spicy, taste is okay.. the dessert selection is fine, but teas were mostly not available.

✔ fiery australian sirloin steak
✔ wagyu slider
✔ moroccan mint
✔ pecan bar

The food was average... there was nothing for which ill go have it again... or crave for it... didn’t like the cleanliness as i could see one lady working in the centre without gloves... english breakfast was just ok

Where do I start. We came here as team today for the so called “business lunch”. It took over 40 minutes to arrive and when it finally did one of my colleagues had to go up and serve himself. The Lamb shoulder flatbread was cold and inedible the harissa chicken not much better. But what made everything ten times worse was the poor service. With a place half empty there is simply no excuse for such slow inept service and poor quality food. There are so many other better options for lunch so please avoid !

This is place is the best ...
They serve breakfast all day and the menu offers very good selection of dishes and all delicious!!!
The staff are amazing, they welcome everybody with a smile - a smiley filipina opened the door for us and welcomed us - this makes a difference.
Most restaurants offers same menu with almost same price but what makes the big difference are the people who works there ...
Nice atmosphere and service. Food was good not great. Good coffee. Low quality bread, as taste and texture. Disappointed! “Good bread is the most fundamentally satisfying of all foods; and good bread with fresh butter, the greatest of feasts.”
James Beard - (The father of American gastronomy)

An early evening dinner that was pure perfection!! Was absolutely delighted to be served some delicious harrissa chicken, truffle mushroom risotto...and the sweet potato fries with Sriracha mayo...just WOW!!! Warm, make your soul happy food...such a fantastic vibe with the right amount of live cooking noise in the background😊 Felt like an evening in the park under the stars and a light bit of amusement going around. Wonderful and swift service by the staff!! Thank you Mithilesh (our server) for suggesting some mouth watering specialities and for your very humble service.

The food was ok but nothing special, portions are of average size. The most disappointing thing is that noone advised on Entertainer rules for this place at order time and that Entertainer is not valid for special menus. The price for special menu is even the same or higher than for a normal menu items but the portion size is absolutely the same or less so its not clear what is special about this 'special' menu. There are no reasons to return to this place, at least for us.
Weekend Foodie
Good place to have a weekend breakfast. It’s a perfect place for delicious burgers and desserts.Excellent food great ambience. The service was good very polite.

Great start to the weekend, after our workout it was time to continue the positive vibe,
Healthy breakfast was in mind, eggs we wanted if in a single word I had to describe.
So came here at this popular brand we trust and started of with some fresh orange juice,
Not big fan of poached eggs so scrambled eggs and omelette we chose.
Scrambled eggs were basic and simple but the basil pesto avacado herbed salad mix was excellent,
So full of flavours and tasted so fresh in the multigrain toast, only appreciation and no complaint.
The smoked chicken and feta omelette was terrific, such tasty ingredients of sun dried tomatoes and spinach,
The spiced tomato chutney was very unique and served with the omelette was an excellent take.
The croissant was fresh and flaky and loved it with the butter and jam,
Satisfied outing and healthy food calmed down our hunger, overall a good plan.

Yesterday’s breakfast was at Jones the Grocer. We’ve been there twice before, this was our third visit. Their ambience is superb with the high ceilings and more focus on natural lighting.

We had the smoked chicken and Persian feta omelette, it was perfect had nice aroma of the herbs and tasted fantastic. The spices tomato chutney along with it was delicious, it had the right spicy level.

Next we had the grilled chicken ciabatta sandwich, the Asian chilli jam along with the fresh slaw inside it gave salad a good crunchy feeling. The sandwich tasted very fresh.

For the drinks I had the passion fruit, mint and ginger. The was ok, it had a bit tangy taste to it could have been a bit more sweet.

Overall a great experience....

Food Tales
Great ambience, excellent service and very friendly staff. We ordered their Jones English breakfast, Chicken Ciabatta, Homemade basil pesto.
Was quite disappointed with the English breakfast. The grilled tomatoes lacked seasoning, poached eggs were little warm and the sourdough toast did not compliment well with the egg.
The chicken Ciabatta is superb ! Excellent mix of salads and chicken with their special seasoning.
Homemade basil pesto, full of avocado paste as it overpowered other ingredients in it, it was fine.

Will come again to try the rest of their menu !

Food at Jones is always differently created but quantity is less than compared to restaurants of the same range. It spans across their menu. Nevertheless, taste, quality, freshness of ideas and service is not something that they compromise upon. Their kale-quinoa salad with avocados is one of a kind and so are the sweet potato fries. Seating and parking at this outlet is ample. Etisalat vouchers and entertainer are accepted here. Must give them a try once. You may also want to shop around their grocery section.

Genuinely disappointed with this place. The concept is nothing special, it was loud and felt almost like the IKEA restaurant to me. The food is absolutely overpriced for my taste. A salad for 52 Dhs (that was not included the Entertainer though advertised as a “main” big portion) ended up being tiny. We also ordered the English Breakfast (62 Dhs) which consisted of 2 eggs, 3 tiny sausages, ONE HALF small baked tomato and bread on the side. Asked if it was possible to replace the bread with an extra egg, it was only possible with an extra charge. My friend ordered 3 tiny extra sausages (+23 dirhams). Charging 20 Dhs for a bottle of local water is not okay, even if it comes in a glass bottle. Almost no vegan options which disappointed me. Would not recommend and won’t come again.

Staff and venue are great. Food massive disappointment. Ordered fish n chips. Chips great, fish served with rubbery batter. Chicken burger lacked flavour.

Went for brunch after ceaseless recommendations. The french toast was a single small piece - pitiful in comparison to La Brioche. The only high point of the meal. The young man enjoyed his kid's breakfast - coconut flour pancakes.

The restaurant was buzzing with flies, strangely. I know I am a lone voice of dissent with this review - the restaurant is clearly beloved in AD - but it was so disappointing (and pricey) that I can't fathom returning.
-----------------------------------------------------------

For more drooling photos and reviews follow us on

Zomato | Instagram | Youtube | Facebook | LBB | Trell | - Food Epicurean

Tripadvisor - https://www.tripadvisor.in/MemberProfile-a_uid.C4BE545430C6FCEF0023A13B8EDA6802

Drop: foodepicureanforever@gmail.com

What an amazing restaurant.
We love the new steak salad and salt beef.
Amazing staff and great service.
We have always been regular for their wagyu burger. I did enjoy other products as well.
Very reasonably price for the quality you get.

Organic gourmet food with delish all over it!
The places feel says it all .
Perfect for breakfast or lunch.
This time I happened to come for lunch and we ordered a couple of their bests:
1. Wagyu burger - that meat is juicy like no other with the softest buns
2. Their truffle risotto - anything with truffle tastes great and then you just add extra Parmesan! You need to add Parmesan and spices to it though
3. Corn fed chicken- honestly indifferent to it

Their portions are indeed small compared to others, plys the its pricy too. But if ur heading for a proper fine angus burger, rich salad or good espresso cup of coffee head there. Their ambiance is comfortable enough to spend some time there.

Very average service on my visit. The drinks took more than 10 minutes to be served and one main course arrived 5 minutes after the others. The food was ok, nothing special. I always feel let down when I visit this place, such a nice looking restaurant but the service always disappoints.

A spicy kick for breakfast! Green chilli cheese toast topped with fried eggs 😍 Iced latte followed by bite sized treats of lemon meringue pie, strawberry tart and baked cheesecake. Good service in a fresh, modern setting.

Great ambience and concept for this joint. Ordered the Chili Garlic Linguini with Prawns for lunch and it didn't disappoint. Will definitely be a return customer!

Decided to try their breakfast as they were open for dine in during Ramadan. The place wasn’t crowded so we were seated quickly. We decided to try the king prawns florentine and their big breakfast which didn’t disappoint and was delicious. For kids we ordered their plain croissant with butter & jam, eggs on toast and the brioche french toast. For drinks we had macchiato and fresh orange juice. To end our meal with something sweet, we ordered their lamington and coconut pancakes.

Now you might be wondering why I rated them 3/5. Here comes the saddest part of my review ie the service. The service was bad as their waiters looked tired and lifeless, no smile or interest whatsoever. I’m not sure if it has anything to do with them working during Ramadan when compared to other joints. A lady did come up asking about the food to which I commented it was delicious. I wish the service was as good as the food we had. We had to repeatedly ask the waiter for our takeaway as he didn’t bring it even after we paid the bill. The ambiance and food would be the only reason I would be back to dine at this restaurant. But when the service is this bad, it does leave a distasteful feeling!

I just hate it when an eatery puts themselves on apps like Entertainer and then tries to find means to avoid extending the full benefit to the customers using that app. Went to Jones the Grocer and ordered two main courses, a Harissa Chicken and a Chili Garlic Linguini with Prawns. The Harissa costed AED63 while the Chili Garlic Linguini with Prawns also costed AED63 (including AED16 additional for the prawns mentioned right under the dish as a +16). When we got the bill, they had deducted only AED47 for the linguini instead of AED63. Upon asking the server who's name was Hassan, he abruptly told me that this is how it is as they've added the prawns as a separate side. He didn't even bother to inform me about this at the time of placing the order. Ridiculous hospitality and poor show of intent to leave a happy customer.

Awful experience. Told to buy our own gluten free pasta, food took over an hour, toilets filthy and staff had zero knowledge of the menu. Manager was unhelpful and blamed the chef!

I love the place. The concept is unique.
Ambience 5/5

I was welcomed by Mark and he assisted me through out my stay and experience. He also let me go inside the cheese room to capture some pics. I walked inside the cheese room and it was amazing!!!!! Thank you Mark for assisting me and my husband. Keep up the Good work!

Service 5/5

We ordered 3 dishes. Australian striploin Steak/ jones wagyu burger and chargrilled harissa chicken with couscous. I love the steak, perfectly well done it was suggested by mark. Another thumbs up. The wagyu burger is ok. The customer chicken is nice but It would be better if they will not use couscous salad as side dish.

Food 4/5

I definitly had a Great experience and for sure I will come back to try more of their dishes. The steak is really a must try. Better ask the staffs for their opinion if you are not sure on what to order.
Terrible quality of food and very poor and uninformed service, went twice and they couldn’t get a burger or a steak right, a medium well steak turned out to be tougher than leather! Very sad! The Emirates Golf Club on the other hand is a far better quality! Not going to the Al Safa branch ever again and recommend to stick with the Golf Club branch in Dubai!

This place was chosen to have a farewell lunch, from outside it looked like a library or coffee shop or a department store!! .I have heard good feedback about their breakfast after today’s lunch my opinion is that it’s a good option as they accept entertainer as well.
They have an open kitchen in the central area, with quite a few pastry’s and salads on display. There were a few good options under the breakfast menu that we wanted to choose however we were informed that it cannot be served. We managed to order almost every dish from the main even section as we were 13 of us!

Dishes tried:
➡Australian striploin steak with grilled mushroom
➡Truffle and mushroom risotto
➡Grilled Atlantic salmon and babaganoush
➡Jones wagyu burger with normal fries
➡Chargrilled harissa chicken with north African couscous salad
➡Butter milk chicken burger- came with nori dusted fried the sriracha mayo dip
➡Sweet potato fries with sriracha mayo dip the drip went well with the fires.
➡ Vegetable sandwich
➡ Some water and juice's

overall a good place, only have a few pics.
It’s been a while since I have visited this place so went on a weekday for lunch with my colleagues. We were a big group. I first ordered the corn-fed chicken but it was not available so I opted for the chargrilled chicken harissa (even though I just had chicken harissa from Leopold’s of London a few days back) my favorite when we use to frequent Jones the Grocer in Al Safa. My order came and sadly it was disappointing - the chicken was not properly grilled at all. It was slathered in a good amount of sauce but the chicken meat was not that tender and the inside was still a little bit undercooked. Good thing, the cous cous was nice. For my friend, she ordered the Australian steak and although she requested it to be well-done the meat still came red.

Rating for this visit:

Food: 2/5
Service: 4/5 - thumbs-up to their staff, attentive and nice.

Jones the Grocer by simply definition is a market place for fresh food and a wide selection of great cheeses.
This place is a gathering place where you always feel welcome. The display shelves around with the open kitchen theme gives that vibe of cosy and comfortable home feeling.
Menu selection is a wide variety of breakfast, lunch and diner options; they deliver as well :-)
The breakfast at Jones is where the day should start; fresh eggs cooked to your choice with some greens and toasted bread; amazing 😉
Staff are friendly and supportive and they are always around to assist.
Value for money is excellent compared to the quality.
Their competitive edge is the brand itself. Every time you think fresh, well Jones pop up ;-)
It is always pleasure to meet up there with friends and family there.
Recently they Started catering services; so bring Jones home and enjoy the freshness and great service.
Highly Recommended.
