We came here before few times, mostly for oysters. They are really good and fresh here! Last night as usual we got oysters, and as we were hungry we ordered buratta which was really yumi and grilled octopus!!! We ordered octopus before so we knew it was good! And yeah it was! But... there were one tentacle!!! Only one! It was odd to see one tentacle on big plate!!! And two of us!!! And our last visit like 2 weeks back there were 2 of them! So the manager was saying smth about weight and bla bla bla... So they did not do anything about it! Don't think one small tentacle worth 75aed:(((( p.s: should've taken pic..:(
Good place to have some nice cocktails and snacks! We hung out after work and did some nice drinks. They don't stick to the original methods for some of them but we liked the twist. The food is decent and good ambience.
Tucked away literally in JLT, this was a great find! Cosy ambience, packed house, this is a cool place to spend few hours with friends...daily happy hours and what's best is good service makes it a big favorite! Food choice can be improved as they do serve dinner...kids also allowed in evenings!
A great hidden gem in JLT. They have a daily happy hour with great options. The steak is by far the best Ive had in Dubai and great value for money! They now also have oysters which are delicious and again great value. I go here regularly and always leave satisfied
The Cocktail Kitchen is a bar-restaurant at the Armada Bluebay Hotel, Cluster P, Jumeirah Lake Towers (JLT). It’s part of the same super cluster of eateries which includes Nola and Mythos, and as such uses the same maze of B1 passageways to get to. Shaped in an L, one entire side of the restaurant is taken up by a long, sleek bar; the obvious focal point of the interior design. The food at CK is Mediterranean inspired. I’ve only had munchies and starters with drinks of which the grilled squid and street food platter have stood out. On the liquid side, I found the cocktails well-made but weak; they should take their bartenders to Trader Vic’s to learn how to dial in a little kick to their concoctions. CK is very much a white people’s establishment. And this could very well be a coincidence, but on both the occasions I have visited, the bar-restaurant has been dominated with…um, Europeans (the politically correct way of saying white people)…stunning women, and guys with long beards (what’s up with that, man?). Service is surprisingly good. Table booking is recommended. Worth a detour even though they only have paid valet...grrrr!
Waste NOT. Want NOT.
Very beautiful place...good ambiance, awesome cocktails and excellent service.
I and my husband tried around 5 cocktails all were really good. Must go for the cocktails. Even a simple mojito was made so yumm.....and smooth.....
must visit place
The first impression is the last impression. As instant you entered in this place you must impressed by the ambiance and their design it's a fabulous decorated place. All Italian drinks served here by their Italian bar man are quite different in taste. They also served us their complimentary chocolates shots which also forced our taste buds to tickled . Love the place too much.
Amazing experience... culinary delight.. continental cuisine.. tasted the recommended Beef Carpaccio... exquisite.. I particularly liked the Bruchetta with blue cheese and figs.. yummy!! .. the Slow Lamb I ordered was a bit of a let down .. cooked to perfection but was a bit dry because the sauce was soaked up by the barley ... but the Bloody Mary beef and Josper Rib eye was delicious.. the cherry on the top and the one which deserves full marks in my culinary world is the Grilled Chicken... just melts in your mouth.. family friendly place and our waiter Francis was very attentive.. drinks I had the Signature cocktails ... Bold Fashion .. the beers need an acquired taste because u don't get the usual here... but the bitter and more authentic variety... even the water is designer... 😊..
The place is vibrant. Easy to access with free parking for 3 hours.
Their cocktail menu is so rich but my only problem that it's so descriptive and I didn't feel like reading all this to choose a cocktail so I went for a proseco. And
We have nibbles to share , and cheese plate.
Love this place.
They have an awesome happy hour and the vibe is always good.
Service is excellent and the waiters and bartenders are awesome.
Drinks are good and the food is decent, I however wish they had more options on the menu.
Visited during the happy hours.. They serve few selected cocktails for 25 aed.. Ambience, Service was excellent and so were their cocktails.. However just felt that in cocktails alcohol % was comparatively less..May be due to happy hour pricing 😊. Then there was a visiting bartender from Italy who served us some special italian drinks which was quite interesting and different. Also tried one drink from the normal menu which was quite good. Finally they served us complimentary chocolate shots which were amazing.. would definitely try again..
This is a great alternative to Nola, its relaxed, big open space and smells nice. The cocktails are really good, and the service is excellent.
Had a business lunch here with my colleagues, the interiors and music was quite cool and very trendy. The drinks menu was quite spectacular I wanted to try them all!! I settled with a glass of white however. For main course we ordered Ricard salmon, roasted seabass, spaghetti vongole and lamb. The food was clean and very healthy however I missed some flavour in the salmon it was quite bland.. but the fish was perfect! I would definitely come here again for a night out and try some of their signature drinks.
Ambience - Basement of Armada Hotel in JLT. The ambience is nice if you have a table by the bar. Its more lively around that area.
Service - Excellent staff and quick service. Very courteous.
Food - I liked the place. It had some good food to offer and the alcohol list was also good. Came here during happy hours and got a drink for a drink.
Cost - 80 to 120 per person
Awesome place! We went there for drinks after dinner right next door. They have the best cocktails in Dubai! The waiter is very knowledgable and I really appreciate that. I described what type of drink I wanted and he immediately made me exactly what I wanted: the Stop Wine-ing. Very refreshing and just sweet enough. My friend had the Stop Truffling around and he said it was delicious as well. Notice how creative the cocktail names are? I love that too.
Definitely recommend this place!
Update: Went again for ladies' night. Very impressed! They offered me 3 complimentary drinks and 50% off their main courses from 8-11. I tried one of the complimentary drinks that was called bleeding lips and it was very good (but a tad too sweet). Loved their grilled prawns and the grilled chicken as main course. (They should update the menu that's found on zomato as they've added more items). Still recommended!
WHAT-A-FIND!!! Quite literally! I'd heard about this place tucked away in JLT for an age now, but had never managed to make my way there. What have I been missing?! Well, let me try and tell you what I've been missing:
Okay, so it's never going to be one of the easiest places to find. Unlike its neighbours, NOLA and Mythos, the owners don't even sign-post this most wonderful of offerings to the DXB-social scene ... directions are needed from hotel lobby staff to a non-descript elevator.... are the buttons marked... are they heck... even once you get to the car-park, only the neighbouring bars are sign-posted....... it's almost as though one has to 'feel' one's way to it. It's like a calling. You're not supposed to find it... Is this some kind of subliminal/deliberate ploy to make it feel special? If it is, it works. It's almost as though the proprietor is DARING you to give up the search. I'm pretty sure I'll struggle to find it when I return (and return I most definitely will!), but HELL is it worth it. I'm almost reluctant to post this, for fear that Cocktail Kitchen (or CKDXB is they seem to be labeling themselves, just to add to the mystery) secret gets out.
We started off with some nibbles at the bar (figs, blue cheese and honey and THE best arancinni this side of Rome), washed down with prosecco, before moving to a table: starter of Burrata and Josper Steak (white and red wine in copious amounts and in that order). Dessert consisted of what I firmly believe to be the best cocktails in Dubai: Manhattens, Old Fashioneds and "House" G&T's were glugged enthusiastically!
And for all of that... for everything we had... the price was a fraction of what I'd been expecting.
Really, this place is beyond a find... it's a double--tripple-secret-handshake-nudge-nudge, wink wink find ... and I don't want anyone else knowing about it (he said, posting a gushing review). Go on - try it. Well, find-it and then try it.
Top-top venue!
Cocktail Kitchen has modern trendy decor and cool cocktails. It was quite busy though some took some time to get served but they were good in general. Didn’t have a chance to try the food but would go back and give it a go based on everything else I saw.
If you like to try something new and different on drinks.. this is the place.. cocktail ranges from classic tastes to some latest smoky flavor drinks make u visit this place again and again.. on my first visit i could not resist myself and tried 4 cocktails one by one... their bartenders are professional nice and talkative... cheers 🍻
Thanks to Richard, Professor, Success and Elram for the amazing experience
Went here with colleagues after dinner. The place is perfect for after dinner cocktails. I wanted a glass of wine but the bartender suggested i should try his wine base cocktail, didn't get the name of the bartender or the cocktail but sure that was one fantastic cocktail i had. Will surely go back to try some more. Thanks cocktail kitchen for serving us great cocktails.
Went last weekend and had a fantastic night. Greeting was very friendly, cocktails were great and we really enjoyed our dishes. Never tried an Aperol Spritz before but the barmen recommended it and it's now my favourite drink! Music was awesome and the staff were attentive and really knew the menu. Will be back!
Very good friendly service been there for lunch so not sure about the nights but it's very quiet at lunch which is ideal for meetings and just to disconnect from a busy day
They have lunch menu the portions are more than enough and it looks very elegant
There was some chips before we got our food which was fun and tasted just wonderful
Lasagna was very good light and only veggies never thought eggplant this good in pasta :) I would suggest it for happy food as it's fulfilling
Turkey dish was amazing loved the creative selection of veggies
Nice place. Exceptional decor and a really relaxed vibe. Guys behind the bar clearly know what they're doing - not sure I can identify anywhere else in JLT that gets them as right as these fellas! Points lost for the sound system: I'm pretty sure the kit I have in my living room turns out a better choon! Well done CK: Fix the sound and I'll be back (I'll likely be back anyway!)
We had brunch here on Friday. We've been here many times for drinks but never food so we weren't sure what to expect. We were so pleasantly surprised!!
The drinks list was amazing they had beautiful cocktails we couldn't get enough of them!
As for the food, As it was Christmas weekend they had a few specials on the menu such as turkey.
For starter we had a selection of everything pretty much! We had beef carpaccio which was fantastic, it had a beautiful sauce and lots of rocket.
We also had the mussels which came with delicious warm bread and a gorgeous sauce and we had Camembert which was so beautifully presented!
We waited a while before we ordered our mains which was no problem THe waiters were always around. We had roast beef and the turkey dish for our mains.
The roast beef was the most amazing I've ever had! It was cooked so it was pink and was so tender, it came with a Yorkshire pudding and gravy which were bothered delicious. The only thing was the roast potatoes were not great which was slightly disappointing but it was a fantastic meal none the less!
The turkey dish was average, it was turkey roulades with cranberry sauce and roasted veg. The turkey was okay, the Brussels sprouts it came with were yummy!
Would definitely come back here for brunch, only thing was it was very quiet but as it's a quiet time in Dubai with everyone gone home we expected it, next time we hope it'll be packed as the food drinks and service was amazing!
Also thanks to the staff for giving everyone Santa hats it was a nice festive touch :)
Excellent, we went with friends for dinner, all delicious, as always. Good service from Julian our waiter was attentive to our table. Do not forget to try the Bloody Mary is a show for the palate!
One of my favorites - its vibey but not crowded, there is good service and an extensive list of cocktails on offer. The waiters are attentive, warm and friendly. There is a separate smoking area so non-smokers can enjoy the bar atmosphere. The food, especially the nibbles, will also not disappoint. A great after-work venue.
As the name suggests Cocktail Kitchen could be either interpreted as a place that serves great cocktails or a place that serves great cocktails and a great food too. I guess the former would suit this place a lot more given that their cocktails were really nice in comparison to the food. Nice ambience, fairly decent service, some good food and excellent drinks is what this place has to offer. In terms of food we tried the:
Cured Salmon - Probably one of the best dishes for the day, the salmon went really well with the beetroot purée and dill mayonnaise.
Beef Carpaccio- Really nice too, lightly flavored, just about perfect
Street Food Platter: This dish was quite a disappointment to be honest. The panini was over done, burnt infact so had to ask for a replacement and the burger was way too dry. Certainly thumbs down for this dish.
Chocolate Lovers Delight: Truly a treat for chocolate lovers..the chocolate ganache pairing excellently with the chocolate orange ice cream giving it that right zest with all the chocolatey sweetness
Creamy Balls: Unfortunately simplicity doesn't always do the trick the vanilla cream filled balls were a bit too simple for my liking .. no wow with that one
On the whole the food was a mixed bag of hits and misses but the drinks along with the ambience of the place certainly deserved a thumbs up.
We came here with three colleagues for our lunch, it was my first time and certainly not the last for sure!! the food was amazing, the ambience was also amazing and I would like to highlight the outstanding service received by Mr Bright (hope I am spelling it "right"). He was paying attention to our table, serving the sequence on time, and informed us about all the promotions going in the place.
My congrats to chef and managing team.
Regards,
Samira.
A very tastefully done up place with a clean & minimalistic approach to design with the white chairs and the wooden detailing.
If subtlety in flavour is your thing, then this place is a must visit. The bar tenders are 'Mixologists Who Are Pretty Good At What They Do'.
Definitely visit during 'The Aperitivo Time' between 05:30-07:30 pm to make the most of the drinks at AES 25 only. But stay longer.
I had the Apple Martini which I most definitely recommend with its hint of Cinnamon, homemade aromatized wine and green apple juice. Just plain Yummm...
The Stop Wine-ing makes for another fresh spritzer and great way to kick off the evening with light hearted Lacuesta Blanco, Qcumber Soda, Basil and sparkling wine.
The Margarita wasn't too bad either.
The Street Food Platter does its job but special mention to the crisp And light Tutkey Ham Bikinis.
Looking forward to going back and indulging a bit more.
This place has a super chill vibe ! I have visited several times during the Happy Hour and I'm a major fan of their Vermouth Cocktails - I've tried all of them and the Not a Shred of Saffron is a favorite! It truly takes me to the beaches in California!
In the nibbles, the Arancini and Croquettes were truly delicious.
However, what floored me the most were the desserts, especially the Chocolate Lovers Delight, of which we ordered 2 rounds..it truly is every chocolate lover's dream! I am not a big fan of caramel, but I still loved the Dolce Cup, because the espresso very tastefully balances out the sweet and slightly salted caramel.
I'm definitely looking forward to trying more on their menu!
Friday brunch here is a unique experience. They have a set menu from which you can order unlimited items...for both food and drink. I went for the non alcoholic brunch, which was great for 195 Dhs. I have to starylt with the leg of lamb ( which was my fave main course) It is tender and succulent and will tantalize your taste buds. Also comes loaded with gravy, mashed potatoes and crisps on top. The risotto was a bit bland as was the fish in a bag, but not complaining when you can always go back and order what you love! The appetizers were decent but not wow material...I loved the meat cuts best followed closely by the ham sandwich. When it came to the drinks...I absolutely loved the refreshing Pain in the grass ( never thought I'd ever say those words!); the other 2 mocktails were also pretty good. The main disappointment for me was dessert. I'm a diehard fan of anything sweet and Cocktail Kitchen sadly let me down with only the one dessert which is the dessert of the day. On tht particular Friday it was lemon meringue ...which sadly wasn't as good as it looked. I really hope CK adds atleast another 2 dessert choices so that the whole meal ends on a wonderful note. Otherwise a great experience with impeccable service and highly recommended!
Good food ! Very reasonably priced compared to dubai standards. Friendly staff.. a delay with one of the main dishes but quickly forgotten once received.
Recommended and will definitely come back. FYI small menu means they focus on their dishes ;)
Great ambience and vibe at CK! We ordered a whole array of small plates and bar food which went down really well and filled us up! We were too stuffed to order mains but unlike the starters and small plates, the main course options were very much limited and didn't seem too exciting. I would definitely suggest CK to consider adding more variety to their main course section to make it an inviting menu!
So few places in Dubai deliver on ambience as well as food, drink and service. CK does.
The signature cocktails are well balanced although maybe a little too adventurous for my uneducated bar palate. Decent wine selection and affordable bottles too which is always appreciated.
The food looks fresh and exciting and delivers a flavourful, light and satisfying punch. It's refreshing how we were treated to a small vermouth to marry with the beef carpaccio (which is did very well), duck (although seemingly difficult to find in UAE) was a good, well cooked and nicely plated. The gnocchi with puttanesca was light and packed with flavour.
The tiramisu was a bit of a let down, largely cream with a measure of booze and a tiny remnants of chocolate. I think this needs work but on the whole the output for the kitchen was timely, well presented and pleasing.
Although our table was somewhat off the main area and not the most visible, Francis our fantastic waiter was very attentive, knowledgeable and engaging. He made recommendations and gave us a few laughs too.
I have been several times now and at busier times the bar can be a little slow (especially if the customers don't understand how to queue!) but to deliver the level of F&B they do takes time!
The generosity and 'human' approach is relatively unheard of in the UAE and something other establishments need to address.
Keep doing what you're doing CK! You rock
Was meeting my friends here, on a Wednesday evening, this place was packed which was good. I liked the contemporary ambiance and yes, they have amazing cocktails. Food was okay nothing great. I will return only for cocktails, not dinner for sure.
I love the whole ' THE VINYL FRIDAY BRUNCH' experience, the music and the food absolutely brilliant. I ordered FRITO MISTO and PAELLA is to die for. The place was busy but our server Yousef was aware of us. Our food and drinks comes on time.. The ambience is nice. DJ is playing cool music did not feel bored at all. We had so much fun. A highly recommended Friday brunch
Went there for a friends birthday and enjoyed the overall vibe. Loved the ambience , feel and exciting buzz of the place. Was not drinking that night ( had to be the one freakin time at renowned cocktail place) so had the "bloody different " mocktail followed by the beef carpaccio , grilled squid, and chicken liver pate' which was all yummy. My main however which was a grilled veg risotto was pretty bland for my taste atleast .. Great evening though and good service ! Looking forward to the cocktails next time !😊💃🏽
We visted this place om Friday evening.we entered from the hotel lobby and then going to the basement where the bar is located by passing the parking. When we entered the bar it was too crowded we were lucky to get 2 seats at the bar counter. The best part was the cocktails which was different and tasty. All tge restaurant staff was too busy to attend to us. But the bar tender angelo made us feel comfortable. We didn't get an opportunity to taste the food but we were very happy with the cocktails and the bartending skills. Yes the restaurant is expensive but surely worth the taste and innovation of the cocktail.
I am a fussy, strict vegetarian foodie, my partner is a full on carnivore, we both simply love everything about this place, it really is a welcome hidden gem to the area...
-The decor is inviting, chic and understated.
-The music is always classy, expect to hear sweet jazz and soul vibes.
-The staff are amazing, so friendly, polite, professional and super efficient, they always go above and beyond.
-The food here is made with love, every time I have eaten here (which must be over 20 times) the attention to details never fades and I've never had a bad experience-can't say that about many places in Dubai! The food is fresh, seasonal and flavorful.
-The business lunch is super yum and great value, only 59 dirhams for 3 courses-a soup which is always made with love and comes with a piece of toasted baguette, a choice of 3 mains, one is always vegetarian and a delicious desert. You must try it, you're missing out!
-'Aperitivo Time' a.k.a happy hour is always great here, we love the house red wine.
-We checked out the DJ night called 'All Good' and had a blast, the place was packed with good old skool vibes and an awesome unpretentious classy crowd.
-This place isn't happy only offering a splendid ambience, staff, food, drinks and music...NO! Cocktail Kitchen also host a women's event every alternate Tuesday called 'What's Your Story' where women can network after hearing inspirational Ted Talks style stories from other women in the region.
These guys are pioneers, it really is refreshing to be in a restaurant that's so authentic and passionate on every level.
I've given you sooo many valid reasons to check this place out,you won't regret it...You and your belly will leave happy.
We are finally back home in Dubai after a month packed with traveling! Went to Cocktail Kitchen to celebrate a friend's birthday last night.
The restaurant has a very Contemporary look and feel, since it was the weekend the restaurant was buzzing.
We ordered:
Bruschetta- they serve it in a different manner. You get your bread in a brown paper bag and the salad comes in a seperate plate so you create your own
Roasted crunchy sea bass- soo delicious and crunchy, I just wish the portion was bigger
Beef croquettes- I don't eat beef but my friends loved it
Bloody Mary Rib- again beef (welldone) my husband ordered this and he said it was good
Potato stuffed pasta in a freshly made tomato sauce- was decent
Affogato- this was the one of the best desserts iv Ever Had!!! Soo sooooooo good!!! I don't have a sweet tooth so I can't even imagine what the dessert lovers will have to say! !
A special mention on their funky plates! Each plate has a message that you read once you are done eating....very simple thing but very unique. 👍👍
The drinks at Cocktail Kitchen are very funky! My drink had egg white, yuzu, grape fruit, soda....iv never tasted a drink with egg white!!! But again this was really good!!
The service was good, staff was extremely friendly! Surprisingly the food was served faster than the drinks.
The only downside to this restaurant is the parking!! Im assuming this is a weekend nightmare...we had to wait for 30mins to get parking so I would suggest taking a taxi to this restaurant. Valet outside costs Aed 50.
Sea bass was great for a main dish. And the starts absolutely delicious especially the calamari and octopus. But my really favorite thing about cocktail kitchen is the ambience, the people, their outdoor seating area is AC'd with central AC!! Good place for hang outs.
Mostly packed throughout the week & obviously the weekend. Ambiance is exactly how you'd expect it to be lively and loud. Cocktails menu is impressive. Liked the multiple seating options..
Must say one of the best services I have ever seen in dubai. And without exaggeration. Team is putting a great effort to serve you with happiness and straight up. They know how to perform service error recovery and how to act proactive as well as reactive. Big thumbs to the management and the team. Very well trained. Well done. Oh and prices and cocktails are great, too. Laid back atmosphere and cool funky house music.
My favourite place to go to after work. Beautiful crowd and they have a happy hour from 5-8 everyday. Each drink is for 25 dhs only! They have amazing cocktails, my favourite is stop wine-ing.
A few colleagues & myself went to CK for dinner & drinks after work one evening. We booked our table but were slightly late due to the insane amount of time it takes to get parking in JLT. So they gave our table away and gave us another table (which was available only for 1.5 hours). Over the phone, they never informed us that they hold the table for a limited time. They also did not ask us if we wanted a smoking or a non-smoking table. So we were seated first in the smoking area & after asking them repeatedly we were moved to the non-smoking area but only high chairs were available.
Once we were finally settled, it got somewhat better, our waiter was really helpful with the menu. I had the lamb shank with a hazelnut crust & a carrot puree smear on the side. The meat was exquisite & the sauce really enhanced the flavor of the dish.
Nothing appealed to me on the dessert menu and I never leave without having dessert.. it just completes a meal. I finally settled on the poached pear topped with chocolate sauce & ice cream, which I didn't enjoy much. I don't particularly like fruit with chocolate (except bananas or strawberries possibly). There wasn't much to chose from dessert wise, everything felt too milky (ice cream, cream, cheese). But nothing chocolately like fondant, cake or souffle etc.
Great experience for brunch today. Food was fantastic, buratta, grilled squid and lamb were the highlights. Drinks were phenomenal. Extremely well taken care of at the bar by Valentin and Giorgio.

This kind of place is very rare in Dubai.
Amazing food, from appetizers to dessert. Perfect destination for cocktail lovers. Decent choice of beers and wines.
The service is ACE! The waiters are very knowledgeable, warm, smart and fast!
The ambiance is simple yet catchy. The music mix is perfect and the best destination for a laid back Thursday dinner/chat/drinks with hubby, family or mates!
One of my fave for sure!
Amazing ladies night and great foood! Keep it going guys ! Best ladies night in JLT and great music and the service is good. Bring it on cocktail kitchen your new best friend xx
Amazing venue great food and tasty cocktails.
We went for a girls night out and tried their Burrata wich was top notch absolutely loved the presentation and quality was superb.
Their paella also was tasty with fresh fish and lovely presented also.
Great ambience and attentive staff.
Amazing!!
Great Atmosphere and a lovely apertivo menu. Cocktails go for AED 25 during Happy Hours. Friendly staff and the Wi-Fi password is ynottalk! Avoid the Americano since it is super bitter 😑😑Nikhil Prakash
We were pleasantly surprised that one of our favorite local hangouts, Cocktail Kitchen, has an iftar menu during this Ramadan! Cocktail Kitchen only opened its doors beginning this year and has been the place to be ever since. Together with the two other restaurant/bars Nola and Mythos, Cocktail Kitchen is located in the Armada Bluebay Hotel in JLT. When you enter Cocktail Kitchen nothing feels like Dubai anymore, it’s like you’re in one of the coolest neighborhoods of New York or London. Although the name of the place might indicate it is mainly a bar, it isn’t just simply that. The cocktail part is absolutely amazing, but the food served is great as well.
The iftar menu of Cocktail Kitchen consists of 3 courses with several options to chose from. We tried three starters: Duck Salad, Grilled Squid and the Watermelon & Zucchini Minestrone Soup. It is unfortunate that you can only chose one dish per course because all three are amazing (maybe make a booking for 3 nights in a row 🙂 )! The quality of the duck and squid and the preparation of the dishes was just perfect. The soup is full of flavor and it’s a slightly lighter option compared to the others. For the main courses we recommend the Lamb Scallopini and the Sea-bass Roulade. The lamb was super tender and surprisingly didn’t have the typical gamey taste, which made it phenomenal. The sea-bass was delicious and the presentation (see photo above) was nice as well. For the dessert we tried both options: Semolina Halva and Zeppole (deep-fried dough balls) which are the perfect finishers if you have a sweet tooth like us.
We tried 2 delicious mocktails together with the iftar, which were a perfect match with the food. Make sure to ask the friendly staff for a good suggestion on what to drink with your choice of food.Cocktail Kitchen is far more than one of the coolest places in Dubai for cocktails. It’s a must to try the food when you visit as the quality that you will get will be hard to find anywhere else in Dubai for this price and with this atmosphere. Definitely one of the best iftars in Dubai!
Easily the best place to spend your evenings! The service is fantastic, staff are very sweet and the drinks are amazing. I love the way they dress up the drinks in pretty glasses and fancy herbs and dried fruits. Their cocktails are spectacular - I recommend starting with Honey I'm Reserved and anything on their aperitivo (happy hour) menu. Cocktail Kitchen is a fantastic addition to JLT!
I really enjoyed my visit to the venue. More so for the cocktails and the ambience rather than the food. Unfortunately although look wise the food looks amazing, every dish seemed to lack taste or seasoning or something! It was quite disappointing. The cocktails on the other hand were both...
Really loved this place!
The food was so delicious and presented beautifully. I was worried that my main (vegetarian gnocchi) was a little small, however I was so stuffed by the end! No room for a sweet after!
For starters I had the gazpacho, very rich and full of flavor. Then the main I had the beetroot gnocchi with Parmesan crisps which was to die for! Very filling but honestly I couldn't get enough. They also were very kind in trying to accommodate me being vegetarian.
The staff were great. Very chilled and personable.
Would be a great date place, as the drinks are yummy too!
Definatly worth a few visits!
An elegant dining bar in the heart of JLT. Being more used to go to Nola, the New Orleans concept right next door, I finally took the left side of the hallway and went into cocktail bar. On a Thursday night, around 8pm it was still relatively calm. We were asked if we wanted to be seated in the smoking or the non smoking area. The non smoking area is by far better and the largest. The smoking area is mainly just the roofed outdoors area on the right of the entrance. So we sat in the non smoking and ordered a salmon meal and a side green salad. The food is delicious; sizes are rather gourmet, and the meal is lean. No extra calories or too many additions. Just the piece of salmon itself and the salad on the side. An hour and a half later, the place was full. I had a feel the crowd was mostly made up of westerns. Overall, the place is really good for a cozy chic dinner before hitting a more boisterous night or just for a drink on the bar with cool friends. I totally recommend it, especially if you like feeling in NYC while you're actually just outside a very residential area in Dubai. JLT.
one of the nicest places i visited recently, truly a hidden gem. visited on a saturday during happy hours. Not too very crowded. But a nice place, lovely ambience, friendly staff. Tried all the cocktails offered in the happy hour menu, just priced at aed 19 couldnt ask for more.
all the cocktails were based with proseco or wine, hence offcourse it didnt have that real alcochol feeling if you are more a whisky or rum drinker you might find it mild. but i really loved it.
I did love the names of the cocktails too..i started with stop wine-ing, El vestido apertivo, Aperol spritz, Not a shred of saffron, Margarita and finally the Americano which was quite bitter.
Overall amazing place wil repeat soon again.
had their bites avolocans, (stuffed olive with beef mince) pretty good too
Ambience good
Service very good
Price very reasonable
Must try!
Not a fam of fancy food, but this place might just change me. Lets get to the food. Tried a lot of different things. Grilled squid was amazing. My favourite dosh the figs and bkue cheese bruschetta. The lamb shank was amazing. The beef carpaccio was nice. Not a big fan of the sea bass and the gnocchi was good too. Poached pear and tiramisu for dessert tho i would defintely suggest the tiramisu. Drinks were amazing. For whiskey cocktails must try the honey im reserved and the lost and found. Also the stop.trffling around is great. Will be back soon
Wow... What an ambiance and great vibe. Great service team there. Some unique Italian beers to drink and yum food. I was keeping vegetarian that day so ordered few veg appetizers and every dish was yum so I'm imagining how great will be the rest of the menu. Will go there again surely
Dubai's got plenty of bars and pubs to choose from, you can take your pick and are spoilt for choice in most popular areas in Dubai. So it says something when you come across a new bar like Cocktail Kitchen, and you leave saying ' I'm definitely coming here again'! It's rare for bars to stand out in Dubai.
It was 8:30 PM on a Thursday night but the place was packed like alcohol reserves were running out in the country. This gem of a place is located in Cluster P, and has got a great ambiance to it. The casual - club mix like feel is a great setting. They're known for their long list of 'experimental' cocktails which I highly recommend you try out. I tried the Sweet like a chocolate boy and Bold Fashion. The cocktail preparation process is also a treat. When the place is packed it'll take a while to get a drink, so patience is a must.
Unfortunately I had to call it early at 11 so I couldn't try the 'kitchen' part, but as I said, looking forward to it.
Went here on a Friday night. The cocktails were delicious and the ambience was good. It's a nice place to just relax and grab a few drinks with friends. Definitely going here again.
This is a modified review:
I gave this place a second and a third and a fourth chance. The staff was super friendly, the service was great and I definitely recommend this place.
I think that was one of those bad days.
----------------
I wish if I can give them less than 1.
Yesterday was my first and supposedly last visit to this place. It was very crowded, extremely hot, rude staff and as me going to bar to grab a drink with my friends after work, I only managed to have 1 beer in 150 minutes. I think they were understaffed but they should have stopped letting people in. It wasn't a pleasant experience at all. Cheers
Having been in Dubai for a while trying this place was a breath of fresh air! We loved it!
The happy hour had amazing prices 19 dhs a drink, which is unheard of in Dubai! We sampled a few cocktails, all were delicious.
After a a few hours week became peckish and tried the cheese selection, it was very tasty and came with a good variety of bread, nuts and fruits.
The staff do incredibly well under the extreme demand within the bar!
This place has a city vibe it could be from London or New York, with its industrial organic feel and wide range of reasonably priced drinks we will be sure to be regulars.
This place has got something that I haven't seen too often in Dubai. It has a chilled out relaxed atmosphere while being classy too. You would be happy going here as a couple or with a group of friends for a few beers. The mix of indoor and outdoor seating is a huge benefit. The cocktail menu has a great selection and a different selection of beer with great prices. Highly recommend for any occasion.
You know it is a good tasting session when you are so excited to share your experience with everyone. We decided to try out the newest space that just opened its doors to JLT, Cocktail Kitchen. From the classy wooden décor to the the hues of cool greys and blues and oversized indoor plants, mirror a very welcoming, homely yet luxurious feel of the restaurant. As soon as you enter you get a glimpse of how their minimalistic logo was created and what Cocktail kitchen is all about in just a few words. We love this, so on point!
The ambience is good.
Decor very trendy.
Excellent cocktails menu.
The bar menu had some interesting dishes not a wide vegetarian choice though.
Buratta truffle, stuffed olive fried balls and risotto balls all very good.
They serve all the dishes and drinks in a different style than most bars and restaurants. See the photos.
Service was good and staff were friendly.
I’m a big fan of the number three. There are many reasons for this – birth, life, and death or beginning, middle and end – it is a complete cycle unto itself – it is past, present and future. But the most important reason I like the number three is that Steve Jobs used it in his presentations a lot.
Amazing place, amazing staff.... Can work on music though
Probably the best place to hangout and have the most unusual but great drinks
Enjoy
Music should change
My absolute new favourite place. The space and the atmosphere are incredible and totally unlike anything elsewhere in Dubai, the service was brilliant and the food and drinks choice out of this world. We started our night at the tasting table where our mixologist recommended some wonderful cocktails that I think will be lifelong favourites, we then had a beautiful meal - the burrata was brilliant, one of the best I've tasted, the purple gnocchi was great and really different and the fillet steak was cooked to perfection. The menu - both drinks and cocktails really pushed the boundaries and it works. We'll be back, many many times! X
I have passed by this gem on my way to nola or mythos before...Yesterday we decided to visit with a friend! The ambience is relaxing, loved the colors and details and the different bars and choices of sitting. Amazed by how big this venue is. The staff was uber friendly and polite and assisted us with sitting and ordering our drinks! We went for the bloody mary and it was really really good! It immediately gave us the bloody mary buzz:-) overall nice experience. Will be
back soon! Heard that Wednesdays the music is 80's...Cant wait to try the food and more of the cocktails!!!
The instant I walk into Cocktail Kitchen (CK) I am immediately impressed with their interior design. The combination of light wood, grey stone, and turquoise paint is tres chic. The sexy long bar stretches across the entire restaurant, boasting a wide array of macho copper bar tools. The lighting, décor, and vinyl DJ set oozes cool.
Lovely place, excellent cocktails.. very friendly staff. Tried multiple drinks and all of them were equally amazing! Highly recommended , will surely go again!
Nice place with a relaxed atmosphere. The food is good, the waiters are also attentive & make sure to explain to you regarding any item on the menu.
Couple of weeks ago I was invited by my blogger friend Jen of Dubai Food Diaries for a Friday brunch at Cocktail Kitchen- The Vinyl Brunch! . I love good cocktails and have been to most of the places in Dubai that serve cocktails. Having heard great things about Cocktail Kitchen, I couldn’t wait to visit them. So on a rainy Friday afternoon, not so long ago I headed over to Cocktail Kitchen to try their cocktails and food.
My husband and I decided to try this place one Thursday evening. We both are huge fans of mixology cocktails and were pretty excited looking at their menu. The entry to this place from the basement of the hotel gives it a sort of speakeasy feel. The place was abuzz with people getting drinks after work and it was all.very upbeat. They have a long bar with all their liquor, garnishes and concoctions laid out. Up front I ordered a gin cocktail with qcumber water and honey. I often do the hendrick's with the qcumber water at home, so it wasn't anything exceptional. Also there wasn't any garnish on my drink. On the other hand, my husband had a gin cocktail with fresh berries. It was refreshing, tantiliazing and delicious and very well presented. I liked the way the menu had a play of words. There were a lot of interesting cocktails but mainly bourbon based. Their mocktail list sounded lush. I wish they would just add.alcohol to it for me. We decided to order some nibbles. We ordered the arancini, potato chips and the blue cheese and fig bruschetta. However, we were informed that their deep frier wasn't working so they couldn't serve the chips and arancini. That's a but weird. One can easily find a workaround. Heat oil in a pot and deep fry it yourself. Yes it is tricky and tedious but that's how people do it at home! Well we the. Changed our order to sautéed potatoes and some scallops. The sautéed potatoes were alright. The scallops were very cooked perfectly and came with a pea puree and saffron foam and sauce. The pea puree didn't have the sweetness of the pea and kind of got lost in the saffron sauce. Just the saffron sauce with the scallops would keep the dish flavours subtle and light....perfect! The star for me was the blue cheese and fig bruschetta. The sweetness of the fig against the saltiness of the melted blue cheese was just yumm. Itvwas so good that I ordered another portion. I also decided to try another drink, which sounded very interesting on the menu. A bourbon base with porcini mushroom, walnut and balsamic. When the drink was served up, it only tasted of bourbon and nothing else
I couldnt taste any other ingredient as there was too much bourbon. It wasn't a well balanced drink at all. Well it's a nice place for a few drinks and nibbles and I will return but for the private table, where the bartender mixes what you like. I hope I'll get.drinks suiting my palate.
Went back, and back again, and will do so many times more. Staff is a joy to deal with, proper bartenders, the place's energy is positive, food is super. A really nice environment that's unpretentious.
Friday brunch at the Cocktail Kitchen is an amazing experience. The brunch happens every Friday between 1 to 4 pm and gives you three options at Dhs 395 with unlimited house beverages or Dhs 195 sans alcohol.
We ordered a variety of dishes from the set menu and of these the mushroom risotto and beef roast and lamb leg was outstanding.
Drinks are creative and quite nice.
Recommended for that lazy afternoon with friend over good food.
A blogger meet up is always fun, so I was so happy when Monica from Doin Dubai contacted me for a fun lunch meet up at Cocktail Kitchen.
Since the restaurant is Cocktail kitchen its only fair I tease you with some of their cocktails (pictured above the Big Tom Bloody Mary and the El Vistido Apperitivo)
Since it was the weekend, CK aka cocktail kitchen has a brunch setup for AED 345.00
We had a few options for the starters ranging from Spanish Omelette to a creamy burrata, we opted for the Popeye salad, sizzling sausage, burrata, fritto misto and beef carpaccio.
By far for me the burrata was the best dish, creamy and went well with the sun-dried tomatoes, the sizzling sausage was a tad bit spicy but packed with lots of flavour.
For the mains since it was 6 of us we opted for the risotto funghi, the left leg of the lamb, paella and roast beef.
The risotto although a tad bit too salty was one of my favorite mains.
The Paella (mixed with chicken and seafood) was delicious and the only reason it wasn't all gobbled up was because it was the last dish to arrive.
We also opted for the lamb leg served with parsnip puree and glazed onions which I didn't try since I was already stuffed from the previous food (aka burrata) but everyone at the table loved it!
The roast beef was well seasoned and cooked till medium well, this was served with a bowl of roasted potatoes and ofcourse the combination worked. Doesn't potato go with anything, anyways?
For the dessert we opted for the dessert platter which consisted of a tiramisu, negroni ice-cream, and apple terrine.
My favourite was the tiramisu which was moist and fluffy.
Our final cocktail was "thyme after thyme" mixed in with ginger ale and sparkling wine.
However my favourite was still the El vestido aperitivo
The brunch is priced at AED 345 with the cocktails and AED 195 for the non-alcoholic one. It's available every Friday from 1 to 4pm. Do check them out and let me know what you think!
Last Friday, I had the pleasure of being invited to a bloggers’ brunch at Cocktail Kitchen by the lovely Monica Kapila from the Do In Dubai blog. We tried out their Vinyl Brunch, a three-course menu inclusive of drinks. Cocktail Kitchen’s Vinyl Brunch is available every Friday from 1 pm to 4 pm, and comes in 3 price packages:
Wow...I am already living in JLT for 9 months, but I just recently found this jewel.
Me and my fiancé have been strolling through JLT when we found these magic doors. When we come in (naturally during happy hours - surprise :)), then we were just dazzled with awesomeness of this place. Nice staff in interior, which must be interior designer dream, but that was only part of our experience.
Another part were drinks...man!! Those drinks were good and refreshing. I was missing something like this in Dubai for a long time. Try their selection of vermouths and also classics from tequila and gin. We also got amazing amuse bouche made from sea bass topped with spicy salsa verde and herb butter!
I am patron already ;-)
Where do I even start?! This place is winning with flying colors in every way possible!
I went here to try The Vinyl Brunch with Jen Sahi @dxbfooddiaries and Megsblogged and we were so happy with literally everything! We couldn't find a single thing to complain about!
The interiors are fresh, welcoming and chill! Works well during the day and great for nighttime too! Their use of Oak Wood around the walls gave the interior space a very refreshing atmosphere, and the laid back seating arrangement played well with the mood. Not to mention, the awesome old school music they were playing! Everything just fell together to create the perfect mood for a chill yet uplifting brunch.
The service is impeccable. The servers are beyond friendly, I almost want them to join us on the table for a chat! They are well trained, intellectual, and are helpful. When asking for advice on what to order, they don't just stand there and wonder, after they ask a couple of preference questions, they provide you with something you could only dream of!
From their drinks to their food, I couldn't decide whether I wanted to keep drinking or keep eating! Everything was just SO good! And what my blogger friends and I appreciated the most was their attention to detail. Unlike most other restaurants and bars in Dubai, presentation isn't usually on the top of the list, but in Cocktail Kitchen, it clearly is. Everything looked absolutely stunning! And the taste followed too. I honestly can't stress enough about how great this place is!
For The Vinyl Brunch, we had a choice to choose 1 appetizer, 1 main course and 1 dessert. Since we were three, we choose different items and shared them. That way, we can spot out the superstars! And even though everything tastes quite amazing, "The Left Leg of the Lamb" was by far my favorite! Juicy, flavorful and the meat just melts in your mouth! I am going back to Cocktail Kitchen for this meal alone! Must try! Must must try!
Other items we tried included the Spanish Omelet (perfect comfort food!), Popeye Salad (yummy but nothing too special), Sizzling Sausage (least favorite, was in sandwich and did not live up to the other meals), Risotto Fungi (well made, mushroom-lover's heaven), Vegetarian Lasagna (heavy, cheesy and oh so delicious!!) We also got to try all their desserts and they were all good. Not as good as the savory items but yummy nonetheless. I would recommend trying the Chocolate & Smoked Berry Semifreddo. It's nothing like I've ever had before, it feels like I'm eating ice cream with bacon (as Dubai Foodie put it). That's due to the berries being "smoked". It sounds weird but it actually works!
Their drinks are all to die for, literally. What I loved most was the fact that you really don't have to add alcohol to make it a "good drink". It's amazing, with or without the alcohol. Their mixologists are talented geniuses, knowing exactly what flavors to put together to create a magical wonderland!
My favorite drinks included Big Tom Bloody Mary, Americano Cocktail, Stop Wine-ing, Someone That I Yuzu Know and my absolute favorite would probably have to be the Allones Bonnes!
And I am sure you already noticed this, but arnt their names so adorable?! There are some drinks that I want to try solely because of how cute their name is!
Overall, I couldn't recommend this place enough! I will personally DEFINITELY be coming back. Probably today! So yes, forget about the "one stamp of approval", Cocktail Kitchen has got completely covered up by my many many stampSSS of approval!
Great atmosphere and decor! And the food was as enjoyable! Ordered a burratta and grilled squid, both highly commendable. Couldn't try the drinks but will do next time!😊
