Loved the place overall for the ambience, music and staff. You have to wait for a table. I tried the platter - food was ok. Except lamb, others Didn’t stand out. <br/>But don’t forget to try the lime green tea before you leave.

Where to begin...My husband was excited to try this restaurant as he’d heard such good things about the food. Unfortunately as soon I walked in the hygiene (lack of) struck me. No temperature was taken, the space is smallish and I noticed only one table had a bottle of sanitiser that was being passed around the tables. We were seated and the table was sticky, the entire restaurant is grimy and in desperate need of a deep clean/sanitisation. Even the TV stuck on the wall was covered in grease. In times like these hygiene is paramount and this place was not clean. My gut was telling me to leave however my husband really wanted to try it out so we stayed. I was informed the lamb Karahi was a 40min wait which was slightly bemusing since they weren’t super busy however we’d made an effort to visit so decided to order a few starters and wait for the mains. We ordered a potato naan and meat dumplings both were enjoyable. On the spicy side - much more than I was expecting for Afghani food however still really nice flavours and I was pleasantly surprised. The problems started when the waiter brought out a salad plate and I noticed a hair on it. I immediately asked for them to replace the plate and pointed out the hair. This was off putting however I decide to give them the benefit of doubt and waited for the meat dish and kebabs. Once this arrived we again began eating and the taste was decent. Not mind blowing, however flavoursome. I can honestly say places like Sahad Dharbar have an excellent meat Karahi full of flavour and at half the price a bargain. After only the first bite I noticed a hair in the middle of the Karahi and I felt sick. I was completely put off from eating another morsel of food and called the waiter to ask he remove the dish. I showed him the hair and expected him to agree this was unacceptable and to my disbelief he attempted to lie to my face by saying the hair was from a basting utensil (please see photo of the 100% human hair in my food). His lying was almost funny. In this instance my advice would be to apologise to the customer and offer to replace the dish. Not here, he just kept insisting the hair wasn’t human. I peeked into the kitchen and saw very clearly the chef was a not wearing his face mask properly - it was lowered on to his chin and the hair net wasn’t covering his hair (not surprising it ended up in my food), worst of all the kitchen was dirty looking. I wish I’d have gone with my gut instinct and walked out. Very off putting experience. I’ve been to tiny hole in the wall eateries who maintain the highest hygiene standards - there is no excuse in this day and age for a dirty kitchen and restaurant. Very disappointing experience - hair in two dishes isn’t a one off mistake, that’s complacency from simply not caring to maintain hygiene standards.
Hammad Humayun
Pervasively mismanaged restaurant with no process around to track delivery or accountability. Disappointed to encounter that paid delivery orders still firmly reside inside the kitchen post three hour. This is the second time such an instance has occurred in a span of one month.

Amazing food and service by Mr Ishtiaq.. We had lamb shinwari karahi - lamb was super fresh and the karahi gravy was out of this world.. Definetly a must try place!<br/>

Visited this place for a second time yesterday and for sure it was worth it, the juicy tender fresh Lamb chips are undoubtedly the best Lamp Chops I have had till date. The freshness#tenderness#juiciness#Flavor#quantity in those chops😍 must say this place is worth visiting and will never let you down. <br/>Also to mention the lovely and welcoming staff take a bow guys that was an excellent service one again.<br/>To mention also in the earlier visit we also had the chicken gravy with the lamb fat WOW 😍 was just amazing. Keep up the great work guys.<br/><br/>Afghancusine#Lambchops#amazing#juicy#dubai#Barsha#mustvisit#foodlove#Shinwaricusine.

It took 2 hours for the restaurant to deliver the food.. I called the restaurant 5 times.<br/>Very bad service <br/>

Nice place good food !! But it has waiting line most of the time whenever I have visited might be as I have gone there mostly on weekends. Would recommend kabuli pulao with some starters !! Tried afghani naan with curry but the gravy was not enough so check before order about the portion!!

This is second time I have eaten at this restaurant. First time was amazing. Unfortunately this time was major disappointment and embarrassment. Had family over from abroad and convinced them to try this place. Sadly lamb karahi was not cooked properly and had bad smell of meat similar to smell at butcher shop. The chapali kebabs were dry and tasteless. At the end of all of this, we all got stomach upsets.
Faiza
The best part about the restaurant is that food is not pre-prepared. It is freshly prepared after you place your order <br/><br/>Ordered the wakha platter, they say that it’s good for 2 but for a small eater like me it can serve 3-4 people.<br/><br/>Platter contains afghani pulao and a variety of barbecued meat and chicken. The lamb chops were succulent.<br/><br/>After your meal, a free qahwa is served which is essential after a heavy meal.<br/><br/>Wakha platter is highly recommended if you would like to taste a variety of their barbecued grill

Wrote a descriptive review of the restaurant and the food. <br/>Enjoy, <br/>Have a good time. <br/>http://lyfelo.com/wakha-best-afghani-restaurant-in-dubai/

Taste was superb with with best quality and quantity. Served hot and fresh . <br/>Best place to dine in the best afghani food specially Barsha Branch . <br/>Always order before leaving home to avoid waiting as they prepared fresh .
Jawad
Clean, tasty and good service. Food quality is very good. Highly recommended especially if you’re hungry. Helpings are huge!
Sehrish Baig
Extremely poor delivery service. Delivered after 3hrs that too after multiple calls.
Mossadiq Ali
Absolutely horrible experience. Placed an order at 12.03 and didn’t receive my order despite 4 phone calls - including one to their manager Waqas. The excuses were hilarious. First they said there was no gas, then they said the lamb was not there and they had to get a ‘fresh’ lamb ! Then the usual the food is being ‘packed’. I had to cancel the order despite a Zomato order being a prepaid one. Never trying these guys out ever again.

Heard from a friend about the Kabuli Pulao, and wanted to try it out for myself. It is actually the bomb. Amazing, Pulao and the braised lamb which comes with it. <br/><br/>The Pulao is the must have. Shenwari kadhai was decent. But the five stars for the Pulao, braised lamb and the grilled meat. <br/><br/>Service was very good, very attentive. Hygiene was good too. <br/><br/>It's a bit pricey, but if the food is that good why not pay a little extra.
Aqeel Abbas
Hands down greatest kpk restaurant in dubai. Fairly pricey but worth it. Kabuli pulao is da bomb

Do not overlook this restaurant in Barsha . Looking for some authentic Afghani food , this place is for you . This is my second time here and I love the food . The portions are so big you would need a doggy bag. The meat is freshly cooked and flavoursome - absolutely delicious. Staff are very friendly.

One of the best Afghan food in Dubai.<br/><br/>It's better to call, reserve a table and order food as food serving takes time.<br/><br/>https://www.instagram.com/p/BqfeXaVHKA6/?igshid=vxgx8qmsy3wn

Service could be better<br/>Else every thing is ok<br/>Food is average.

Wakha has a unique problem that it already takes along time to deliver, it is the only restaurant which takes 70 min to deliver originally but it has been 2 hours and 15 min and still there are no signs of the food. I have called the restaurant 3 times and every time they say it will take another 25 min.<br/>It is utterly unacceptable, if you cannot manage the orders then you should not be taking the orders.<br/>It resulted in my guests to wait for 2 and half hours for the food and still there are no signs of food being delivered.<br/>The amount of money Wakha charges for their food, by no means it is acceptable
Mohammad Zohaib
They serve lovely food. Karahi is amazing. Service is not top notch and waiting time is longer. However taste is authentic
Mohamed Aaly Maghrabi
Meat was dry, rise was taestless , only decent item was mantu

After ordering food several times, the so called owner decides to charge 25 aed for deliverymaybe you should look after your regular customers instead of BEING GREEDY !!!! 25 aed is not a PROBLEM MAYBE MORE YOU ATTITUDE !!!!!

Always fully booked, finally went for dinner and tasted Shinwari Chicken Karhai with Afghani Bread, Fatoush Salad and Kehwa in the end which was complimentary <br/>Fatoush salad was the best so far. Portion size was also good, good for 3-4 people<br/>However the chicken was well cooked, fresh cut took over 20-25 min but the gravy was less n more oil though the oil used wasnt heavy..shinwari chicken is cooked in the gravy with no or little tomatoe and onion maybe its like it but we felt the gravy was a little less<br/>Kehwas was tasty though
Pranay Sethi
Conceptually the restaurant is amazing, worth a try. As everything is super fresh. They take your order & get fresh chicken and Mutton and prepare. You can feel the freshness in the food however its not worth the price. <br/>The gravy of chicken is negligible but I was told that there concept. So didn’t argued as we need to relish the food as per the cuisine & culture. This is Afghani culture food and maybe it is like that

Amazing taste delicious food ♥️♥️

ery unprofessional and dishonest staff. they do not know how to deal with issues that arise at their facility. instead give meaningless apologizes and do not take initiative for the actions of their staff they instead try to shrug it off and act like nothing happen afterwards and their management will lie to your face just to get you out the door and not have to deal with you after you paid for your meal.....STILL WAITING FOR THAT CALL IN 30 min......BEEN 13 Hours photos will come soon. Fresh meat cooked to perfection serves with fragrant and nicely flavoured rice.

We have been following this place for quite sometime. And finally visited this place.. <br/>We tried shinwari style mutton karahi.. amazingly made karahi style mutton.. great taste and freshly made..
Prachi K.
On our friends recommendation , we tried this restaurant And it was the best decision. This place serves freshly cooked food with delicious ingredients. Their mixed platter is die for .. consists of kabuli pulav which has rice thats perfectly cooked in spices and so aromatic and tasty, has different barbecued meat in it like lamp chops, chicken, tikka , kebabs and lamb.<br/>The place was clean and staff was friendly.
Kumeil Munir (Fooodie Family)
Wakha is by far the best Pakistani restaurant in dubai. Zafrani kabab karhai, lamb karhai, pulao etc you name and they have it.<br/><br/>It never disappoints. It is highly recommended.
Muhammad Raza
I like the taste. Specially mutton kardahi. Afghani palao 👌<br/>Place is good & service is 👍<br/>Once you tried, will go again 😊
Faizan Shah
It is a very good restaurant for lamb karhai. The roti is freshly cooked and the taste is extra ordinary amazing<br/>I just loved it
Aisha Aamir
Less than 150gms of chicken, bone in? High value for tiny chicken, precisely chick chargha. Shinwari Chicken karahi was less than 150gms too, bone in with late delivery. Please do something about it. It was not enough for one person. 111 AED is a high cost. Not, value for money.

Best restaurant for me personally in Dubai everytime I come back from England or anywhere else first place I run to , such homely and delicious food have a 5 year relationship with that. Been going there before I had a beard to a fully developed one . Thier food definitely helped . Best Karahi ever eaten , the pulao is delicious the kababs are juicy . Taken every single friend over there . And they went 3 days back to back . All different nationalities . Must try in Dubai won’t disappoint
Obaid Rizavi
Their service is always on point. Fast and courteous. The food is always amazing and fresh. Even when they are inundated with customers they never let their politeness diminish or service quality go down. Love that a lot of Dubai is now enjoying this lesser known part of my culture through this amazing joint. My favorite is chicken karahi.
Khan Muhammad
Went all the way to eat lamb BBQ and kharahi first we sit there for menu 10 mints after menu staff is busy on delivery (phone) waited for someone to take order but no one came to table amazing people who don’t care for there customer not recommended at allll......... worse Resturant Aver

I've been to the restaurant 3 times and this is my 4th time to order over the last few months, this time got the chicken karahi (checkin in red sauce) without bread, and kabuli pulao (rice meal) without cutlery not even a tissue<br/>Called the restaurant they answered we never served bread and I need to order it separately<br/>I've always got it in my previous orders and logically how are you supposed to eat chicken peaces in sauce without bread!<br/>I understand their might be cost cutting but not to that extent specially at such a price point<br/>Never ordering or going there again
Rumaisa Sed
This place has become my family’s go-to for special family occasions and this restaurant honestly never disappoints. 🙌 <br/>However, this time when we ordered 2 plates of kabuli plao amongst other items from Wakha for lunch, we were quite disappointed after seeing that the meat portion was quite off in the plao. They generally do give more rice than meat but this time it was way too disproportioned. Literally had 3 small bits of meat with loads of rice on my plate. Not sure why they felt stingy in giving at least the right proportion of meat & rice, if not more! Weren’t able to enjoy the plao properly. <br/>The rest of the food was up to par though!

Found a fly in the vinegar and jokingly asked the waiter if I’m supposed to eat this with the food. Also asked the waiter to show it to management, he went and showed it to a Ali Azmat looking guy who didn’t do anything about it, and went on to looking at his brand new, out of the box, Nike shoes with one of the staff members. I didn’t even get an apology. I wish I had taken a picture of the fly. Its okay, things happen, but the least the management could do was apologize and it’s not like this fly situation is a problem that can’t be fixed. Zero hospitality skills.

Had read so much about the place from an article in the newspaper and also read the reviews but was utterly disappointed with the food. Kababs have no flavor except salt and are so chewy. The pulao rice was nice and the redeeming factor was their kahwa. Service is soooo poor took more than 50 minutes to get the food. Big disappointment ! Dubai has far superior places at half the price
Khizar Khan
The taste aroma is quite normal quantity was fine not so fancy restaurant cost as 3 person around 175 Aed.

One of the Authentic places that serve very Authentic Afghan Cuisine, Nice music, Warm staff and awesome ambiance...that’s Wakha for you.
Palvasha Owais
Last night, I came to your restaurant and I tried your shinwari karahi and mini platter for 2 persons. Your shinwari karahi was delicious and tempting.. 😋 and also your naan soft and yummy . I like your interior and nice decorated but specially I like trucks and rickshaws.. ☺️ All over was amazing

Awesome atmosphere, food was yummy and staff is very good specially Mr Muaiz I really appreciated. Thank you!

This is the first time to try an Afghani cousin, and it was a very pleasant experience. Liked their big meat and chicken platter, it has everything.<br/>However the negative point was the service, it took them nearly 45mins to prepare our order as they cook it like after taking the order.<br/>Really recommended a place for a new pleasant experience.
Naveen Kumar
The order which was delivered by the restaurant itself took 1 hour 50 minutes.... and the delivery guy had no remorse instead told me that since they cook everything fresh , it takes time ...but after such a long wait ...the lamb kabab meat was tough and very little flavor....the chicken kebab was drier and real struggle to eat .... I was so surprised with the poor quality of food given their reviews ... anyways never ever ordering from this restaurant again ...

I was craving for Afghani food so we stopped at wakha for dinner on our way back home.<br/>If you love Afghani cuisine you must pay a visit to this gem place.<br/>Heard alot about the place so now was the time to try there scrumptious food.<br/>I ordered:<br/>Afghani mutton pulao, which was undoubtedly very delicious. Once you eat it you will indulge into having the afghan cuisine again and again. It was garnished with raisins and carrots.<br/>Next we tried, beef Afghani boti which again surprise us with its Mouth watering taste. It was served with imli chutney, green chutney and fresh salad.<br/>Best part is they give you raw vegetables and knife to make your own fresh salad.<br/>In short wakha can completely satisfy your taste buds with its delicious food and warm hospitality.<br/>Restaurant has a good sitting area, staff was very helpful. I am definitely visiting again and highly recommend this place! 5 ✨

So the Mrs and I went there with a friend today. Not that big a fan of kabuli pulao but loved it over there, the meat was extremely tender and the rice were cooked in a good yakhni. The kandhari Naan was so fresh and crispy that I could have that on its own.<br/>I would highly recommend the place if you're into karhai and good Afghani food.
Naheed Sultana
Had been to the restaurant on weekday ,its concept of cooking your food after you choose ,did not work with me.There was a family who left without food while we were waiting saying that they have to go back to AUH so they cant delay anymore.I strongly feel that they should make some good change on this time factor.Overall experience was just about fair.Service can improve too.
Parishmita Gogoi
Based on the recommendation of a friend we decided to visit Wakha to try out authentic shinwari cuisine.<br/><br/>The place was very crowded and we waited a bit for us to be seated. Prior booking is recommended.<br/><br/>We ordered for the mixed platter which is a combination of the famous kabuli pulao and different kinds of kabab and tikka. We were two and so we checked if the mixed platter can be customised for two and with our choice of meat. The staff was very helpful and they accordingly made changes to our orders. The tikkas and the kebabs are made to order so it takes quite some time for the food to be placed in front of you. <br/><br/>The lamb tikka, chicken tikka, and the lamb chops tasted lovely and unique as they are cooked or charcoal grilled mostly in the meat’s fat and salt with no spices. We loved the lamb chops. But the highlight had to be the kabuli pulao which deserves a very special mention. The long grained basmati rice was cooked in a delightful broth and topped with carrots and raisins. A very tasty piece of lamb was buried under the rice which tasted remarkable. The portion size was pretty generous even for two people. Loved this place and it’s highly recommended for bigger groups so that different dishes can be tried out.
Faiza Rahman
Really loved the ambiance and the staffs are well trained too ! Very welcoming... food quality is amazing especially the meat dishes ..we tried the kebabs and mixed grill which was perfectly cooked with adequate amount of spices.. had a great experience!
Jamal Baloch
It's a restaurant that makes you cut your Salad by yourself lol<br/>A small and well managed place crowded on weekend and as their slogan says they make everything fresh, it take atleast 40mins for your order to arrive so it's not recommended for quick eats.<br/>the quality, quantity and taste are excellent but some people may find a bit pricey.<br/>overall pretty good experience, recommended!!
Saba.amin
It's a very busy place in terms of waiting for your table but to be honest it's worth waiting if you like Afghani and shinwari cuisines. Their shinwari food is charcoaled or cooked with salt only without any spices. Dumpukht is their speciality! We ordered Shinwari lamb karahi and as they claim they pick up the fresh lamb hanging on racks , cut and cook then and there. It was quite yumm.<br/>Shinwari chicken tikka was also ordered by us and we loved it. No spices but salt.<br/>In the end they served us complementary kehwa which was surprisingly tasty because m not a big fan of kehwa but after a sip i felt like finishing it.<br/>Their staff is super friendly and cooperative.<br/>Over all it was a good experience and we look forward to go again.
Vade Kate
This is one of the best Shinwari places I have been to in Dubai. Since they weigh and cut the meat fresh for you, it takes time to get your food served, but it's worth the wait. Wait till the food arrives and the aroma and taste will leave you licking your fingers. Their quality is a bit conservative and you might have more bread/rice the the actual dish ;). highly recommended.
Ishtiaq Shah
Best ever afghani taste in dubai. ❤❤❤<br/><br/>If you really like meat this is the place to visit. No masala or something just pure meat taste. Although its expensive comparatively but still 10/10
Foodbloggersdubai
A authentic Pakistani food and a very warm welcome. We ordered a mixture of things lamb chops, chicken shish kebab ect.. everything was well-prepared and were all delicious with amazing flavour,  super tasty. Charming atmosphere, service was excellent. Yes we'd go back. Not cheap, but good value considering they use excellent fresh quality meats and  ingredients. Highly recommend!!!

This is the best meal I have had in Dubai. I never knew shinwari cuisine was so flavorful until this meal. Everything tasted to perfect and the lamb meat was so well cooked that it fell off the bone
The Burmese Pancake
Meat heaven. The lamb chops and the kabuli pulao are absolutely delicious. Definitely call ahead and order atleast 30 minutes before you get there. Service is polite, portions are huge! The green tea after this heavy meal really hits the spot.
Naaz
Amazing food!! Loved everything here no wonder why this place is always packed wish it was more spacious but that wont stop me going there. Service is awesome aswell. Like honestly there’s nothing here that is negative. One of the best restaurant in DUBAI. Must try it!!
Adham K
Ordered hummus, lamb Kabab and afghani bread, now I don’t get it why there is only 2 options of portions, half kilo and 1 kilo!!!! Do you understand that not all people needs to order half kilo especially if it’s a mean for 1 or 2??? Can you please consider people who can’t finish half kilo by themselves??? Apart from that, food is nice but they need to have better packaging than this as we are in 2019!!
Chhavi
This place is known for Afghan cuisine which is made fresh from your choice of cut meat. <br/>So if it’s not your first time then order on phone 45 mins before your arrival time and you would get freshly cooked food. Or else, if it’s your first time then you might wAna go there and see the menu live and then order. Be prepared to wait for 30 mins atleast. <br/>We tried veg mix which arrived quickly. The lamb karahi took time while we kept ourself busy munching the rogani roti. <br/>Suggestion - Keep popular dishes ready as sometimes it’s not possible to place the order in advance and this much waiting time is too long. <br/><br/>Ambience is simple. Staff is courteous and manages the waiting queue quite well.
Amir Malkani
Amazing Afghan Cuisine! Traditional feel when you enter the restaurant! <br/>Shanwari Mutton Kadai : Out of this world, cannot stop eating and the meat is well done ( fully tender).<br/>Must say the pickles served before the meal is ecstatic.<br/>Great staff, personalized attention.<br/>Great going Wakha! Highly recommend...
Muhammad Ali
Takes long time to prepare even If I called in advance and ordered what I need , have to wait 45 minutes. Food quality is very good and fresh and good portion . Always order sharing platter 100 aed . I came with my friend.
Gohar Hasan
Best place for meat Lover !! Amazing BBQ.<br/>Try Namkeen mutton Chops. Shinwari karhai Chapli kebab and Kabuli Pulao Heavenly taste. Must visit place
Daq.tanvir1
Food without desert being delivered, have complained and still waiting for 2 hours <br/>for the desert.....awful service, won’t be ordering again
Jatin
We went there looking at the positive reviews. We asked the waiter for recommendations for a dish with a gravy. He recommended us Chiken Kadhai and we ordered the same. When the food arrived after 20 mins it was DRY there was hardly any gravy. We explained to the owner that we were recommend the wrong dish. He said he will get us gravy. Gravy came after 20 mins of wait by that time roti was cold and we had to leave. What's the fun of good food when its not served on time? Customer delight was not on the menu!!!! Never visiting again.
Christian Biesbrouck
First of all, this is a no-nonsense place, you come in your tell them what you want(Mixed gill) and they tell you right away this takes 25 minutes (Quality takes time) I love it!<br/>Service is very friendly with good suggestions but not trying to push anything in any way.The ambience is simple but its clean and neat what you need more, Great value for money and this is what will make me come back. Quality was very very good. We had many items and all was fresh, not over seasoned, cooked till perfection, nothing dry,  Do not order take away unless you live next door. This food has to be eaten straight from the grill. Keep it up will be back again and bring some friends.
Sheeza Khokhar
Passed by this restaurant many times and wondered why is it always soo crowded! <br/>Finally got the chance to visit it! So much crowded again due to WC Cricket Match between Pakistan and Afganistan but luckily found the space in two minutes. <br/>We ordered their kabab Platter and Shinwari Mutton.... love their kabab platter and Afghani Paulo. ... they served complimentary kehwa which tasted so good after the dinner...... Must Try Place.
KoolGlaze
Best place to hangout with family They have some good range of Pakistani cuisine. We had been here on a friends recommendation. Tried their warkha platter, vegetable karachi, chicken kabuli pulao and tandori rotis. Quantity was sufficient enough. Everything tasted excellent. Would definitely be going back.
Yassar Ali
The reviews don’t do this place justice! Amazing food. The chapli kebab is spot on. Chicken peshwari is amazing. Everything is very good. I recommend calling, booking a table and placing an order. Otherwise, you will be waiting 30 min + for your food. The wait time is acceptable as they do warn u! Most customers order beforehand!
Murtaza Poonawala
Wonderful place! Food is out of the ordinary and gives an awesome dimension to Afghani food.<br/>Meat is tender, and you can expect different cuts.<br/>Not to be missed<br/>
Özgün A.
One of the best meat restaurants in Dubai. Restaurant is a little bit small and always crowded which makes headache sometimes but it worths all the time!
Saiko Mitmat
The place is the best place to experiment Afghani cuisine . We ordered wakha platter for 2 and the quantity was for approx 4 people. They ensure every dish which comes to the table is cooked with love. The wait time is usually 20-30 min but it’s worth at the end. The waiter here are nice and their hospitality is superb. Visited 6th time so have to mention here.
Muhammad Ali
The only thing I love is meat quality and taste. Awesome ......! Lamb chops is a must and rest of everything as well. Please book a table at dinner otherwise have to wait in a long line.
Zain Ul Abdin
Experience Wakha Restaurant Is always the best and food here is fresh. You select your menu and they will cook right tat. Its not the ready food house.<br/>They serve the best "Shinwari Lamb Tikka"<br/>"Shinwari Karhai" "Chapal kabab" the best.. "Kabuli plao lamb"<br/><br/>Everytime i go there i get same quality food.<br/>Its a must visit place for anyone who love Afghani Food<br/><br/>Ambiance - 5/5<br/>Quality - 5/5<br/>Quantity - 5/5<br/>Price - 4/5

Had ordered in Beef Kabuli pulao. The portion was generous, especially the rice and salad, though there were only 2 small pieces of beef. Given the small size they should have given atleast 3 pieces. Also the split gram soup was complementing the pulao really well. One star less for the small piece of beef.
Salman Rashid
Despite being a wakha regular for last 5 years, I got to experience a very rude management behavior on my last visit. My guest who was a tourist gave 205aed as bill and thought he gave 250aed, mistaking 5 dirham note for 50. Upon asking for change restaurant owner himself called him out (from a distance). "You did not give 50 you gave 5, that to an old rugged (purana) 5 dirham note". My friend who did not expect this at all felt seriously embarrassed, and we left without saying anything. Later I went to restaurant owner myself to tell him it was wrong of him but he was too arrogant to accept he did anything wrong. I'm very disappointed and wakha is a no for me from now on.
M Omar El-Barkouky
Had a very bad experience with Wakha recently.. the food was last for almost 3 hours!! I ordered half dozen kabuli chicken which came cold and almost half the usual portion ,, I paid for half dozen and what I got was quarter dozen ,, I asked zomato agent so many times to cancel the order and refund back my money but he was very rude and never listened to me , his name is “Sumit” btw ..I called the restaurant and the owner said he would send another half portion but he never bothered doing so,,,That was disappointing!
Hitesh Khanduri
For a meat lover like me this place is heaven... It’s being an entire year having food from this place and finally decided to write a review as well.<br/>I have almost everything from there menu but my favourite are Chapal Kebab, Chopan Kebab, Dum Pukht, Shinwari Lamb Karahi and Kabuli Kebab.<br/>Looking forward for many more years to come to this wonderful food journey.
Elina
Very nice restaurant in the neighborhood. Good quality fresh meat. The shinwari boneless lamp<br/>one of the best dishes and the Kabuli pulao and of course the warm freshly made afghani bread.
Rehan Ahmad
Excellent food and authentic shinwari taste, totally love it. I reckon to order half an hour before you visit so get the food right when you arrive instead of long waiting!!

A simple place full of character serving delicious afghani bread filled with minced meat (naane keema). Their wakha platter is generous in size, yet it was a bit too salty and the meat was rather dry. The lamb karahi was fragrant and well cooked.<br/><br/>We will definitely pay them another visit.<br/>

We tried the Wakha for the first time and the food was great, freshly cooked and very tasty . The service could have been more attentive but service overall was good.<br/>Overall a good meal and we will certainly be going back.

This has to be one of the best hidden or not so hidden any more gems of Dubai. This place is consistent and great every single time. Fresh meat, cooked to order, and very good service.<br/><br/>Two things i consistently order and hooked on although everytime i say i want to try something else: tikka and the special karahi. The latter is out of this world tender meat in a beautiful spicy broth. Mind you have to wait 45 min for the dish as its freshly done.<br/><br/>I haven't tried there delivery and not sure they will provide the same portions, condiments, and bread but will try soon and update reveiw.<br/><br/>Big thanks to the owners of this restaurant for keeping this place top notch.

Food is always great for dine in, but if you order delivery it will take years to get your food! <br/>You will probably die of starvation before you get your food. And the delivery drivers are arrogant. What a waste...

Had a heard a lot about this restaurant from a friend and as we were in the neighbourhood thought we would give it a go and boy was i pleasantly surprised. Very busy on a Thursday night and the food was amazing. The taste of the chapli kebabs was delicious and we also ordered shinwari boneless chicken karahi which was succulent and perfectly spiced and was surprised as to how much I enjoyed it<br/><br/>Only down side was the service which was very poor as the place was busy but I guess on busy nights they should have additional waiters. We ordered Afghani nan and they were ok although fresh off the drive but bit hard after a while but still nice.<br/>To top it off we were given complimentary kawa (tea) which was a nice touch. I enjoyed so much that i requested a 2nd cup. Overall verdict I will certainly gling back regularly.<br/>Not tried their delivery yet but am waiting for it to arrive. Will review delivery option later.
