Couple concept is on and well thought in Shiba, chef is creative and very friendly, we had a word with him and we were really honored listening to his way of cooking like you listen to some art poem / so much love and respect.

Very nice Chinese/Japanese cuisine. Quite and romantic ambiance, great service, big portions, value for money. There is promotion unlimited sushi and dim sum for 175 AED per person. Bar also available

We asked for the chef's special course meal, and enjoyed each and every dish. Very authentic Japanese food --which is expected as the head chef is Japanese, and the counter seat we sat at was spacious and very comfortable. I would take any guest looking for pure Japanese experience.
Came for dinner, they had a promotion of unlimited sushi and dim sum from 7pm to 10.
Food came with different varieties but overall it was ok.

The food menu is not as same as the one given here and there is no beverage menu included here (in fact I see for several restaurants beverages menu is not included??). Excellent restaurant, asian cuisine. I went their in the winter and I sat outside, and the view was amazing overlooking the race track. even the interior has a fabulous decoration. the food was delicious and the service was at point. highly recommended.

on an almost summery evening, this place was the most awesome getaway for me and my family, with 3 naughty kids and the vegetarian seniors.
The not so long drive, on the not at all driven roads of Meydan are pure pleasure.. especially when you wanna dress up and go out with ur special someone on a lonely cozy date.
Shiba has indian, chinese, japanese and thai food. Beautifully set both outdoor and indoor seating will take your breat away. Staff is very very warm and will help you with your choice.
Now the food... its very nice... not the regular flavours.. dont expect indian chinese or indian thai either... its something in betweeen. Small portions to feed strictly 2 ppl per serving.
But somehow very good vaalue for money.. we were 7 adults, and 2 wine bottles and vegetarian foood from across the menu and desserts later we were lighter only by 1000 aed.. well done, i MUST say..
So my recommendation is, wear your best dress, slip into those heels.. grab the arm of your handsome and enjoy your evening here
This restaurant was my first time trying Japanese/Asian cuisine and frankly I loved it, we ordered edemame, sweet and sour chicken, beef teriyaki and finished it off with tea and coke and it was my dinner choice for all the nights I spent at Al Meydan Hotel
The is one restaurant that has a lot of emotional meaning to me therefore I will always have a good time here and the truth is I could not fault the food once again, this restaurant has a menu that covers 4 cuisines Thai, Indian, Chinese and Japanese and while it is not a 100% authentic example of any of the 4 it gives you a good choice of the popular dishes from each. The pad Thai has been and will remain my favorite dish on their menu, a menu which hasn't really changed in the last 2.5 years but hey I like it and I will always something to eat from it.

I went to this restaurant and I remember ordering the Pad thai noodles. It was spicy and delicious and the atmosphere was amazing. Planning to go there this month again :)
I have been to this place earlier and I went again today with friends because I liked it very much. The best part is that it serves a variety of Asian cuisines - Thai, Indian, Chinese, Japanese, etc. - all under one roof. The ambience and seating is just unique in here. Outside seating has a direct view of the race-course. Japanese seating is very innovative n I love it, over a Sake. Portion size is good for sharing. Would probably go back again.

we tried Japanese food, ordered some mix tempuras, and sushi.
food tasted really good, the only down point was our servant that he couldn't understand english very well , plus while i was looking at the menu he was not giving me enough time to choose and was interrupting me by giving random options to choose. and yessss he was super slow while serving .
but overall i recommend you to give it a try.

We Took the All you can eat combi of Maki and dim sum. The Miso Soup and the Maki were first class. The staff is friendly and quick!
