This is a hidden gem. Excellent location with view of the sea and dockyard. The food was amazing specially to the taste buds of a South Indian. The fish banana fry was amazing and the same goes for the prawns coconut curry. The seafood roti canai was just ok. Highly recommended.
The setting is beautiful with overlooking the harbour, and the table was neat and clean. Service of the main waiter was very good and we were advised very well. The food was amazing, so tasty and for me now the best restaurant in town. The fish was seasoned to perfection and we even got the best french fries in town. Service was fast and portions had an appropriate size. We lived the many sauces the grilled platter came with. Prices are mid range but absolute value for money. It's a nice cosy restaurant ... with a great view overlooking the fishing harbour.... we ordered for prawn tempura for starters, in main course it was grilled hamour and seaview prawns ...all 3 were great ! And I would surely recommend this place all to fish lovers! Only drawback - no alcohol served and to enjoy the outside seating its got be to winters!

really enjoyed this place. we went there on a friday afternoon for a late lunch / early dinner and loved the ambience. we sat outside near the sea docks, enjoyed the view of the fishing boats and police yachts while waiting for our fish to cook.
we ordered:
- malay sea bream
- grilled sea bass with arabic sauce on the side
- fattoush
- hommous
- sesame bread
- potato wedges
we really liked the fish. fattoush and hommous were good. bread didnt taste so special even though it was fresh from the oven. the potato wedges disappointed us because they were simply fried potato with no seasoning.
staff were a bit plain and long faced (except Christina who served us at the beginning and was nice) however that didn't really affect our experience.
overall we recommend the place for the fish and we are definetely going there again.

Awesome location, flavourful and delicious food
Had heard a lot about this restaurant so decided to give it a try. We reached at 6pm and luckily got a table outside. The place is nice and quiet, had a great sunset view sipping mint lemonade. We ordered mixed seafood plater which was very tasty especially I loved squid rings. The other dishes we ordered were peri peri Sheri and prawn curry both were very flavourful. Seafood roti canai was just delicious.
As I'm fond of chocolate I ordered chocolate dome cake for dessert it was yummy. Cheese cake was great too..

This was the first time to visit this restaurant, we came for an early dinner, seating outside is way better than in. Fish and chips crispy and fresh but it wasn't as fluffy as it should be. Vegetable tempura was delicious. Prawns in curry were fresh and very tasty also Majdous rice is highly recommended. The bread is a winner! and as all dishes are fresh and can be eaten on its own it's that good! Downfall is the lack of non smoking area outside. We actually were put off by the amount of cigarettes smell around us.
Seaview restaurant is a great find. It looks fine dining yet their dishes are simple but definitely effective. They have a stunning view of the harbour as well so it's impressive to go to.

Ordered tabouleh, seaview prawns with flaky layered Malay bread. The prawns were cooked brilliantly and were a good portion (for one person though) and had a nice spicy kick to it. The flaky Malay bread was also quite good and tasted light. Their tabouleh was good and definitely a nice way to start off.
Overall I highly recommend this place and a must for seafood lovers.

Seafood restaurant that serves fresh seafood cooked any way you like right by the harbour. It is not overly expensive and a meal for 2 can work out to approx. AED 100 per person. Has indoor and outdoor seating. Service is slow and need to grab servers' attention or be forgotten. The rating is more for the location than the food or service.

The restaurant is located just on the Fishing harbor down Umm Suqueim road. Although it has a large interior seating, I think the best possible place would be the outside seating area overlooking the Harbour and the boats.
The smell of the sea and fresh fish adds to the senses of eating fresh seafood.
The restaurant has a compact menu with standard items as well a catch of the day selection, which will have whatever catch they had during the day.
When we visited they had almost all the usual fare in the Dubai dish market, except crabs in the catch of the day. Reservations recommended.
Food: Of course it's seafood and the added bonus that it was fresh fish. You can tell the difference by the taste of the fish. They had some simple marinade like garlic lemon or Tikka spices, which works well with white fish. The fried calamari was absolutely gorgeous, fresh and crispy, and we ordered if from the catch of the day. We found ordering from the fresh catch was slightly cheaper than the menu items, for example the prawns were almost 3dh cheaper (per piece) than the menu items. The fish too we ordered from the fresh catch, which are sold by weight.
We also ordered a fried rice which was a great accompaniment for the food. It was light and no too spicy or too many veggies in it!
The juices were fresh and excellent.
Service : I didn't particularly like the service here. For one, they were quite hostile with getting us seating outside (despite having reservations). They were reluctant to join two separate tables for us, and we had to literally force them to do so! Afterwards, the food took well over an hour to arrive. For seafood I personally think one hour is way too long a time for prep.
Overal, I loved the place, I especially liked the fresh seafood and it stood up to the name and location of the restaurant! The prices may not be particularly cheap, but on the whole it's worth the relaxed view and ambiance that comes with it. The services and treatment of customers should improve.

The tandoori grilled sea bass was a hit - well marinated with balanced spicing. The sea bream in garlic & lemon marinade needed a bit more flavor. Service was fast. I thought the negatives were over pricing and limited selection of fresh fish.

Located in the Fishing Harbour, Umm Suqeim, beside the waterfront. They have seating indoors and outdoors. They had displayed fresh fish on ice, we had to choose from that. We had the grilled prawn platter and grilled sea bass with garlic and olive oil. They served a few sauces along. I liked the tamarind sauce and the mint and yogurt sauce. Surprisingly they did not have tarter sauce.

If you are in the mood to eat some good fish, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit. Bit pricey but portions can be easily shared. Basically you choose the fish that you want (sea bass, sea bream, prawns, sheri etc) and the sauce you want on top of the fish. Our favorite is the spicy tandoori. The fish will be grilled to perfection. We ordered some rice and fish curry too.
This is a South Indian restaurant, so they spice up your dish on request. We love the food here and keep coming back for more. There is car park right out the door, which is great!

Pretty decent fish and for some reason, not a very popular place. (Lets keep it that way). While yes i will admit, the name of the restaurant isn't very inviting, it does live up to it's name though. You sit and you get a sea view. Their peri peri fish is great. I would generally recommend going to their catch of the day and ask the waiter for assistance... they would tell you how best to cook each type of fish. Their bread is super yummy and their rice really completes the meal.
It is a super casual place that does the job when you want a light (or otherwise) seafood meal. Will i go again? Absolutely.
Accidentally got in to the restaurant amazing food. But be careful in their salt and pepper jars they interchanged. Ambient very silence and cool. Good staff. Recommend for any sea food lover.

We went to seaview restaurant after reading about it from a few blogs which are mentioned on their website too. We went on a Monday Evening, the place was quietish at that time which was surprising. Their food was tasty and i would have expected a lot more people.
Anyways we had great fun, we ordered Fried Calamari Rings, Seaview Prawns, Lobster Tail with Citric Hollandaise, Seafood Roti Canai with Mint Lemonades. And we devoured it all happily :) The seafood roti canai was a great hit for me and the changing tastes of seaview prawns compared to hollandaise accompanied lobster was very interesting for us. In addition the outdoor seating is right there on the harbour. So a lovely setting. Would definitely come back.

We stumbled upon this restaurant by accident while cruising in jumeirah, we were feeling pretty hungry so we decided to dine there. Firstly, i liked the ambiance of the outside seating and the weather was amazing. Unfortunately the service was really slow, we had to wait to call the waiter twice to get us the menu. Now i know there were a lot of people but they are understaffed and the staff are not attentive enough. Lastly for the food we ordered taboula and homous for appetizers i didn't like the taboula and the homous was alright but the bread was cold which was a disappointment. For the main course we had the mixed seafood platter which is good for two people. It comes with calamari, grilled shrimps, tandoori fish, fish balls and french fries. They also get you tahina, mint chutney, and ketchup with the meal. I really enjoyed this dish especially the calamari and the tandoori fish they were the highlight of the meal. Would go there again for the location and to try other stuff but i really do hope that they work on their service.

Had a really nice dinner here. Came across it driving along JBR. Service was quick and friendly and food was good. Coconut prawn curry was tasty. Menu Needs a bit more variety though... We had a perfect sunset for our early dinner.
While not exactly innovative, the name doesn't deceive. Immediately liked the joint when I saw a French Bulldog chilling at the entrance with a table of diners - not a common sight in Dubai. I never realized fish could be cooked in so many different ways, and they all blew my mind to bits. Pity the person who had to sweep the pieces up! Lap up the salty air, sea view and fresh fish here. And then burn off the calories with a scenic stroll along Kite Beach. Date night sorted.

Hidden jewel in Umm Suqeim, I did not hear about this restaurant until I joined Zomato. I'm glad I discovered it because it's definitely worth a visit. The restaurant is located by a fishing harbour, perfect location, very quiet and relaxing atmosphere, I would recommend to sit outside. You can pick your fresh fish and decide how you want it cooked (lots of different spices available). The fish is cooked perfectly and it's very fresh: as you can see from the pictures we had a selection of various fish cooked in different ways. The fried calamari were amazing, the spicy large prawns were cooked to perfection and the grilled white meat fish with tandoori spices was great. If you go wild, expect to pay 150 each but it's worth every penny! Highly recommended if you feel like a seafood lunch/dinner in a relaxing, cozy and almost hidden restaurant.

A decent sea food dine in location with good seating space availability inside and outside. Most of the time it's filled with tourist or Europeans. They also serve sheesha which will be tried in next visit.

Excellent casual fish restaurant in a picturesque setting.
Highlights of our [admittedly greedy] selection were the incredible steamed Malay sea bream with soy and ginger, seafood roti canai, fried calamari rings, grilled whole squid and crispy yet fluffy sesame bread. The flavour of the tandoori giant prawns and chicken tikka were a bit too cloying (too much molasses maybe?), however this is a fabulous lunch spot and a great place to take family.
The only thing that's missing are grape beverages!
Good place to go when you're looking for some good grilled fish, with overall good food. Went there a few times, but this last time we made the mistake of going during the weekend...service was messy, orders being given to tables not respecting the timings of arrival of the customers, 20 minutes waiting for the bill when finally we decided to wait no longer and go straight to the cashier who had our bill already prepared. Important to say that the outside tables were all taken and inside they only had 1 or 2 tables with customers, so I think the management needs to give a thought about this and organize better the service.
Great fresh fish, great mellow location, great prices, but slow service. The only issue this place has is the service. The food is nothing out of this world, it's not innovative, but it's fresh, yummy food- like mama would make at home. Also, a very mellow vibe. Great for casual lunches.

This seafood restaurant, tucked away in Jumeria, Umm Suqeim, is a hidden gem. Since the winters are here now, I was absolutely delighted to sit outdoors, enjoy the lovely view and have steaming, perfectly seasoned fish.
My friends and I ordered the fish curry, tandoor Jash with mint sauce, and steamed sea bream. Even though the menu options are limited, the food quality is great. Tandoor Jash was flavorful, slightly spicy and served with delicious mint sauce. I would also recommend pairing the fish curry with the flaky layered malay bread which compliments the flavor of the curry. I will definitely visit this place again (but maybe in the afternoon/early evening to enjoy the view)

The outside sitting area is absolutely perfect for winter, you can smell the sea breeze and will literally love the local feel -it's really charming. If you have a look at their menu, you'll be surprised to find the price average BUT you're sure to get the freshest of the seafood in Dubai. They have their own fishermen of course!
Tandoor Jash with Mint Sauce tastes absolutely fantastic. It was perfectly grilled and paired with the right kind of mint sauce. I believe we were also served a Fluffy Sesame Bread which was baked in a clay oven, it goes perfectly with the fish. All in all, I love the food we had here!😊
