Authentic Iraqi food. One of the best Iraqi restaurants in UAE, everything on the menu is a must try i don’t even know where to begin!

Doolma, Masgouf fish, Bacha, Qouzi & their famous Kabab. All are delicious & the quantity is very generous.

I think its the only restaurant in Dubai that serves soup, salad, fruit, tea & water all included in the price of the meal itself.

If you’re looking for traditional, tasty, juicy Iraqi food; this is the one.
The hosts' lack of interest in customers and also the restaurant was very hot and the host wanted to force us to sit at a table at his will.

Iraqi kababs for the win! Love the maskoof fish. I had no complains what so ever. Everything was perfectly made and delivered fast. Spot on taste service and ambience. Love it! Abit pricey but worth it. Go for it

You will never go wrong when you dine here. Apart from serving Iraqi/Arab food, the place is also offering a wide space for their patrons. My vote? 9/10!

Read our full review here: thecityvibesuae.com/post/kebab-erbil-iraqi-where-the-best-grilled-fish-is-found

Excellent food real Iraqi flavour . Have been here many times never disappointed. Highly recommend this restaurant mainly maskouf fish and shawarma teshreeb
A Happy Foodie .
It's an upscale Iraqi restaurant in Deira area . The food is awesome , ordered Mixed grill and Chicken Maqluba . Both the dishes tasted very good , so did the break that they prepare freshly . They serve grilled Sea Bass which is cooked on a live station but the portions are big , atleast 2 kgs for one portion . Overall the ambience is very good and the food tastes excellent.

The food is amazing. The seafood is ultra fresh. They bring you a lot of tidbits right at the beginning. (soup, greens, pickles, bread.) My recommendation, don't fill up on these(they're delicious but do your best to resist) and wait for the starters and main course. It's well worth it.

We ordered chicken liver with pomegranate. Perfectly tart and the liver melted in your mouth.

We then went on to order a mixed grill. This wasn't bad. But...

The star of the show was the gigantic 1.5 kg of carp that is smoked and brought to your table. Phenomenal. I'm not a fish person for the most part, but this was amazing. Overall, 6 people ate really well, and didn't need to order dessert. they served tiny pastries at the end but we were keen on trying the kunafe. Next time!
Food was nice, salad and soup taste great, kabab needs a little bit more of cooking, at the end a complimentary tea and watermelon was served which is nice, One of the best Iraqi restaurants here

Been to this outlet a few times and I thought I must enlighten fellow foodies. This place is renowned for their grilled fish which they sell by Kg’s. called Iraqi Maskouf, it was awesome. It’s slow cooked around a smoldering heap of charcoal, and it tastes great. Also worthy mentioning is the Kabab Erbil Al Iraqi, a bit pricey but it’s not going to break the bank. I thought the Kabab was done to perfection, and was delectable. When you order the grilled fish salad and soup are served as complimentary and in the end they will serve a tea on the House. Prompt and friendly service. Overall a great discovery.

Food:
Simply the best Kurdish Kabab in Dubai! Its authentic, tasty, and unique. Really the best I've tried in all Iraqi restaurants. Their fresh pomegranate juice is one of its kind! Colorful, delicious, and has a very strong pomegranate taste, with no sugar. Their pink-purple pickels are also crazy. Very tasty.

Ambiance:
You feel the Iraqi culture the moment you stand infront of the restaurant, and that feeling increases once you enter it.

Service: Very good, and can't complain.

Highly recommended to Kurdish/Iraqi kabab lovers.

Outstanding kababs and the set menu starting with lentil soup. Great service...would love to go back each time I visit Dubai and explore if I can become a franchisee in India

Some of the best Masgouf in town (Iraqi style of cooking fish) Start with a lentil soup. make sure to end with a cup of Arabic tea. (Sulaymani)

This is probably the best restaurant i visit in Dubai, right after my Iraq colleague brought here i have become addicted to that huge grilled fish thingy. i bring my family here on every holiday, birthday, whatever it is. My wife and kids love it. Nice appetizers ,the food is great, family friendly environment and warm staff who even take selfies with my kids, lol (the customer service is wonderful). The grilled fish take about 20mins to be ready so the trick is to call in 20 mins to get it started before arriving (if you are the impatient sort). overall it a great place. Keep it up

I found this restaurent the best in Grill fish.
We order fish which they cook live on the charcoal , but be patient it will take approx 30 - 40 minutes to cook.
And also two person can share the two kg one side piece of the fish.
As they don’t have small fish for bbq , they normally use 4 to 5 kg fish and they cut in to two pieces the same fish and give half of that fish to customers which approx 2 kg.
Price are not much higher looking there quality.
If you want quality food then it’s the best option to try this restaurant.
It worth it. I prefer everybody must try there fish which we enjoyed it with there salads which was amazing.
Always Hungry
FOOD: Great Iraqi food that will always leave wishing you had a second stomach. Best to go in a group of 4 or more - " more the merrier". My best dishes are the Maskoof, Ozzi lamb, kebab erbils & baby okra side dish.

AMBIENCE & SETTING: Well decorated and love the fact they've made the Maskoof cooking pit fully visible and as part of the decor. Offer an
atmosphere that makes you feel transported to an authentic Iraqi Arabic setting.

SERVICE: This is where I believe they're SERIOUSLY LACKING, especially if you're a non Arabic speaker and want some more info on dishes and on what to order. Its is as if they can't be bothered. Advice to first time goers is to go with someone who knows the restaurant or Iraqi cuisine.
First time I went with an Iraqi friend and great service. Went a few times after without and treated unpleasantly (borderline some waiters being biased). Had to have a serious word with management. BUT I still go back as I love the food and it's now all good with the service issue, mainly coz I'm now experienced in dealing with them and the cuisine.
Also advise sitting downstairs as the waiters/esses provide better, faster service.

ONLY RATING THEM HIGH (4) BASED ON FOOD QUALITY.
IF SERVICE IS BAD RARELY DO I STILL RATE HIGH BUT IN THE CASE OF THIS RESTAURANT I JUST IGNORE THEIR SNOBBISH SERVICE.

Hoping to check out their new branch in Jumeirah soon.

Good place for Iraqi food.
Has outdoor seating which is fantastic during winters. Close to Rigga metro...
Iraqi Maskoof is fantastic 😊😊😊😍😍😍

We frequently eat at various Iraqi restaurants and this is our all-time favourite. The service is slightly inconsistent but once the food arrives, you will forget the waiters. I am surprised that not many reviews have mentioned their awesome mixed appetizer. In addition to Iraqi versions of classics, such as tabbouleh and mutabbal, it has a brinjal-based salad that you won't find in most other arabic restaurants. Definitely try their quzi and dolmah as well.

I have been to this restaurant at least 10 times and it is a pity that so far I have almost always ended up ordering the magnificent masgouf fish. It is just amazing, the way it is cooked and tastes. It is a great experience, and very pocket-friendly. If you are in a group of six, one whole fish at 300AED is enough, since the menu includes lentil soup, pickles and fantastic freshly baked bread. Next time I will try and eat something other than masgouf, but I am still not sure. Other dishes are a bit prices, but given the quality well worth it. The staff is very friendly and helpful. My only point would be about the lack of wi-fi. It should be too costly to install, and will make sure your clients stay just a little longer and maybe order more items.

This place is beauty. Beautiful interior. Gives you authentic Arabic vibes as you enter. Food is excellent i tried lamb tashrib which was delicious as well as plateful. The food good to the Indian tongue. The hotel staff was very warm and helped us choose menu and they certainly did a great job.service was quick not much delay. Iranian tea which is served as a complimentary beverage is a must try. Also a complimentary sweet called baklawa. Place is easy to find easy to reach. At a walking distance from Al Rigga metro station.
Would certainly visit again if i get another chance.

If you are an arabic cuisine, this place is a must try. There complete fish kabab is special. You can see your fish being cooked in their huge glass oven. Its fresh and tasty. Place is normally full. But worth to try once. Food quality is good. Worth trying.Rasleen Kaur Anand

Great food and service. We ordered kebab and lamb, definitely delicious. The salad also was great. We were served free soup, appetizers, bread, tea and desert!! The seating area on the outside has a nice atmosphere.

Exquisite experience. Visited them out of the blue. Totally loved how friendly their staff was. Noticed them smiling all around and spreading the positive vibes!

Tasty food! Loved the extra attention and above all the Iraqi good first hand experience in the making courtesy the managers who allowed me to look around as the food was being prepared for me 😍

The food is excellent.... they should get 4.5 plus in rating but they Loose out coz .. the manager does not understand you unless you speak Arabic and have attitude ... the Serving staff is much better and give excellent service... they were not accepting cards and asked for cash ,,this should be informed in advance.

This was the best all round meal that i have had in dubai in the 3 years I have been here.

For me this is food perfection.

The lamb chops and kebabs were unlike any i have tasted before, simply delicous.

The bread, 10/10, fresh and crispy. Perfection.

The soup, delicous.

This is a very well run restaurant.

If i was to recomend any restaurant to friends or famkly visiting dubai this would be top of the list.

I simply love this place. I'm Iraqi so I obviously love our food. Their dolma is delicious, their beans and rice, masgouf, bamya, everything is delicious!! And the best part is the tea at the end♡ best tea ever.

Iraqi cuisine or Mesopotamian cuisine has a long history going back some 10,000 years – to the Sumerians, Babylonians, Assyrians, and Ancient Persians and Arabs. Tablets found in ancient ruins in Iraq show recipes prepared in the temples during religious festivals – the first cookbooks in the world. Ancient Iraq, was home to a sophisticated and highly advanced civilization, in all fields of knowledge, including the culinary arts.

A two-minute walk from the red line Metro Station towards Avenue Hotel which is the nearest landmark, you can easily spot Kabab Erbil Iraqi Restaurant to your right with an outside seating area. The foodie in me quickly searched for a seat near the windows and I found myself at the second floor of the restaurant. The corner spot upstairs is very well lighted and we can see cars and people passing by. A few moments later, a waiter came to our table and handed us over a menu.

Like any other Arabic restaurant, they serve complimentary pickles and bread right away. I've read a few Zomato reviews and I'll have to agree, their bread is to die for. We opted for the medium sized mix appetizer - this one's good for two, maybe even three if your group is on a diet.

The waiter suggested their famous Qoozi Lamb that comes with rice cooked the Iraqi way and Murag beans on the side. I got this for myself while my friend ordered her all-time favourite Arabic dish: the half mixed grill which we both shared . Both mains are delicious and were cooked in perfection. The serving is large and we didn't have enough room for desserts hence we got ourselves a few juices to complete our meal. Full review and photos can be found on my blog.

My cousin had been ranting and raving about this restaurant for a while now. It took us a couple of months but we finally took the time out to come and try this place out. Any place I hear about with good kebabs and I feel like it's my duty to go and try them out. If it weren't for the location I would be coming here a lot more often.

For starters we ordered a mixed platter which was a single plate with small servings of fattoush, hummus, moutabbel etc. The complementary bread they give you is to die for and I love the fact that they give it to you while it's still fresh out of the oven which make is more enjoyable.

For the main course we ordered mixed grill, lamb with rice and grilled fish. I was so confused with what I should focus my attention on but I think hands down the fish was my favourite dish. But make sure you go with a group of at least 10 - 15 people to be able to finish off this fish because it is HUGE. We ordered only half and we still weren't able to finish it. Apparently this fish comes especially from Iraq so it isn't available anywhere else. The fish itself didn't have any strong flavours added to it as such but it was amazing.

The lamb was my second favourite dish because the meat was so soft and tender. It was literally what you would call "fall off the bone"

Overall a good experience with amazing food and a really friendly staff. Highly recommended :)
Visited this place for first time with a Turkish friend of mine.

Food served is fresh and tastes good.
Hefty portions can be expected.
Lunch or dinner both are ideal and busy on most of the days.

Try Kabab and mix grill. You'll have different experience. I mean a good one.

Try Laban drinks to quench your thirst and have tea after food.

Their rice with vermicelli along meat is good Iraqi food to try.

Will definitely come again.

Forget samad... This is the place for good iraqi mashawee.. Even their dolma is amazing. Their finger foods are yummy and the kebab is the best! Never tried their masgoof but this place is my fav iraqi place in Dubai.

Kebab Erbil (Rigga) is most definitely in contention for the best Iraqi/Kurdish restaurant in Dubai. On the strength of its Masgouf alone, it most certainly is right up there with the very best. In fact, in my mind only Samad comes close.

The Rigga restaurant is the newer of the two, owned and operated by an (Iraqi) Kurdish family from Sulaymaniyah. Walk in and you’d be forgiven for thinking the same person who designed Samad also designed Kebab Erbil, they share an uncanny resemblance; Samad being the posher of the two. That said, Kebab Erbil is also a decent place to dine. There are two floors to choose from, the ground floor with a view of the wood fired oven/room where their famous Masgouf or Carp, an oily freshwater fish indigenous to the Tigris-Euphrates and the de facto national food of Iraq, is slow-grilled to smoky perfection. And there is the upstairs, where families for some reason find more comfortable; perhaps because it’s a little more private.

The Masgouf, served with a splattering of pomegranate syrup and a sprinkling of Sumac, is bucket list good. Add to that the timelessness of this most basic of cooking methods and you’re nudging culinary nirvana. Too much? Yeah, maybe the culinary nirvana bit was a little too much. Also commendable are the kebabs; the minced lamb kebab a Sulaymaniyah speciality and one which Kebab Erbil does exceptionally well – careful though, all the mince kebabs have copious amounts of delicious, artery choking fat in them. And if none of this has got your juices flowing, these boys also do a beautiful Qoozi as well as a full range of rich and tangy Marag or Stews – okra, beans, eggplant and green beans the most notable.

Service is efficient but can be slightly distant and indifferent. Prices are very decent – you’re looking at roughly Dh. 175 for half a fish and Dh. 300 for a full fish – good value considering all the culinary nirvana mumbo jumbo I’ve been going on about. Parking may be difficult but there’s a Dh. 10 per hour parking lot across the street. And lastly, there is another branch in al-Muteena which I actually visited today. Don’t waste your time. This Rigga branch is far better. Tamam.

They definitely offer the BEST Kurdish kebab in town. It is always fresh and has its unique taste. The staff are very welcoming. Highly recommend to others to try their Kurdish kebab.

If you like kurdish food then kebab erbil must be in your list. Their speciality is the fish wood grilled, and the kufta kebab! The taste and quality is very good. I guess the price should be reconsidered though.

Went there for dinner today and the place was quite empty. We ordered a mix grill and the 2 of the Iraqi kebab platters (for 5 of us). The kebabs were alright and the service was good.
We had 5 waiters at our table asking us for our order so it had to be. Except for that one guy shoving a 'fresh' orange juice down our order. The sulaimani was out of the world and the overall food/ambience was good as well. It's just a little heavy on the pocket but it's alright as long as the food is good yeah?

Quality over quantity as a friend of mine says. I don't generally shell out 75dhs on 3 kebabs lul. But it's worth it, atleast once
though.
COPOL
best iraqi food in dubai. these guys are really amazing at iraqi food. even the special grilled fish which is getiing ready by burning woods in the dedicated place. their kebabs are amazing. I love their minced iraqi kebab, it's really tasty. the qoozi lamb is also my favourite. evne they have special dish called tashreeb Lamb which almost the similar taste of iranian dizi. their portion sizes are really big, and almost I couldn't finish my whole dish everytime I am going there. they also have nice starters like the salad, the rice soup, and assorted pickles. the waiters are also great, they are taking care of customers all the time. I recomment this place 100%
