Great food especially the wafu salad, salmon sashimi and the goyozu.
Best Japanese Restaurant, taste and quality is very close and comparable to dishes in high-end restaurant in town. Been a customer of 13+ years ... still will continue.
Had a great lunch before .. good ambiance and friendly staff specially manager mitch
The best authentic Japanese food in Dubai! Friendly staff and awesome manager Ms. Mitch! Thank you guys for always making me happy whenever I dine here. Too bad I'm leaving the UAE for good but this restaurant will always be in my heart. More power to Bentoya!
Ordered the okanomoyaki, ten sushi & chicken katsu curry.
Okanomoyaki was cooked well, I really enjoyed it.
Gyoza was alright, alot like Chinese dumplings.
The chicken katsu curry, was amazing, one of the best I've had in Dubai.
Will def come again.
I would like to make a personal recommendation to the menu. Kindly keep an option for Udon Chicken Katsu curry. Instead of the rice, keep an option to replace with Udon. I'd love that. It's one of my favorite Japanese dishes.
W O W. Let me start by saying this is not a fancy place. But, I promise what they lack in decoration, they make up for in quality and taste and incredible value.
It's a small neighborhood restaurant. Seating area is for around 20 people and it's a bit aged. But the service is friendly and very fast and the food is fantastic.
We ordered a bit of everything, from sushi to ramen and main courses and everything tasted fantastic. A definite must try, I promise you will not be disappointed
Have been coming to Bentoya quite a lot this last few months. Wide variety of choices and pretty decent food. Nothing at all to complain about. I’ve also seen a few Japanese people here so they must be doing something right, in terms of taste 😅
Really good sushi. It’s tough to find restaurants that have good food and don’t hurt the wallet. You guys are doing so good at keeping that balance. Will drop by for sushi soon
Bentoya Kitchen is a lovely Japanese restaurant just a few minutes away from the Financial Metro Station on Sheikh Zayed Road.
Our order -
Salmon w/ Avocado (Maki Roll)
Crunchy Shrimp Roll (Maki Roll)
Salmon Crunchy Roll (Maki Roll)
California Maki Reverse (Maki Roll)
Ebi Tempura
Yakitori Tare
Miso Ramen
Everything was served hot and tasted absolutely fresh and delicious! The portions are great and the service is fantastic. My absolutely favourite would be the Maki rolls and the Ebi Tempura. The outside of the tempura and light and crunchy and melts in your mouth (I don't know how!). It's a great place for a family dinner or with a group of friends. I would say it is the best Japanese restaurant in the area.
It's a very nice place to dine in. The staff were polite and punctual and ready to help us with any clarifications on the menu. We ordered the gyoza, the ten chilli sushi plate, the mini tantanmen ramen and the mini ebi ramen (mini means its for one person. They have bigger serving sizes for 2 people which is the price listed on the menu). I loved all the dishes! This was my first time trying traditional ramen and it lived up to my expectations.
This is a lovely place for anyone looking for some nice Japanese cuisine. Their abience is very peaceful and i really like their service. But i did find the place a bit too pricey.
I ordered a Chicken Katsu Don.
Food: 4/5
Service: 4/5
Price: 3/5
This place is very near to my office but I never tried as I was not too fond of Japanese food. But most of the nearby restaurants being closed due to Ramadan during lunch, this came as a breather. The place offers authentic Japanese food and it offers lot more than just sushi. So we ordered chicken dumplings, spicy shrimp rice and black sesame silky ice cream. The dumplings tasted very unique and tasty, soft and sautéed well. The rice portion was pretty good and tasted nice. The silky ice cream was very unique and tasted very different from regular ice creams. Overall it was nice.
Dubai’s Hidden Gem!!! One of the best sushi places! Or better yet the BEST, authentic and fresh Japanese.
Simple interiors, but authentic and well executed sushi and best is the price...it is not overpriced and you are sure to get good quality Japanese!
You may also find Japanese people eating there and reading books. As far as I know this is a tradition in Japan as people eat and read books at the same time! So this tells you that Bentoya is authentic! If Japanese are already eating there!
What are you waiting for? Go give it a try!
We ordered here last March 24 via the zomato app. We got the Tantanmen ,Seafood Tantanmen, extra noodles, extra soup and rice.
Both the Tantanmen variation was excellent. The flavour was amazing as you can really taste that they use fresh ingredients. The noodles taste excellent as well. I can eat the noodles alone even without putting it in the broth. We had rice which came with a small piece of egg and some pickled radish.
This will be my new standard now when it cones to Ramen. I highly recommend this restaurant. We will definitely eat here again when we visit Dubai again.
Authentic Japanese cuisine on a quaint spot. Never disappointed with the quality of food, ambience and service of staff. Seafood tantanmen, gyoza, yakisoba, maki, karubi beef are all my all time favorites.
We have just rerurned from one of many dinners in Benotya Kitchen. It was after several busy months that we have finally managed to go and enjoy the best ramen in town. And we could not believe what we have just experienced. I dont even have to say that the staff knows our order before we place it and even remembers our names and special requests. Not only we were greated by all staff as if we have returned home after a long leave, the food was better than ever and we have even been given a Valentine's day special gift (even on Feb 15th 😉) We love to return to this restaurant. The food tastes exactly the same each time we visit and that gives us that special comforting feeling. It is really our home away from home with amazing people waiting for us each time. We appreciate you all and will come back soon. Well done Bentoya Kitchen👍👍👍
Tucked behind some commercial buildings in the trade centre area - Bentoya Kitchen is serving up some very well executed Japanese cuisine. The sushi & sashimi are arguably the best you’ll find within this price range in Dubai. The hot dishes such as the grilled chicken and beef as well as the udon & ramen noodle dishes are all delectable.
If you’re looking for economic, no fuss Japanese food in a casual atmosphere then this is the place for you.
Yummiest sushi in town! Make sure to try the ten chili roll. Best place to escape the crowded restaurants but there is a funny smell at the place.
Chicken Katsu here is one of the best I’ve had in Dubai. Chicken is crispy and juicy, curry is thick, flavorful and chunky. I also tried sushi here and it is very good. Portions are fair. Would recommend.
Dine in with my Sister and we ordered gyouza, yakisoba and katasudon. Food are delicious. Japanese food craving satisfied.
We will surely visit again.
I really like this restaurant. The food was so delicious. The portion of the food is big. My favorite was ramen, gyoza. Whenever Im craving for japanese food Bentoya is always my first choice. Aside from its close by to my place. Even i ordered for delivery the taste of the food is so good. The quality and quantity is best! Will definitely order again and also visit the restaurant soon.
This here is a restaurant that feels authentically Japanese in various ways. I love their tasty food and offerings that go beyond sushi and sashimi, and it's cozy location.
The best Japanese Restaurant I’ve tried so far in Dubai! 👍🏼 Everything we ordered was very delicious! It was worth the price! The amount of serving can be shared for two. Will definitely go back & try their other dishes.
I highly recommend their Tempura! It’s the most authentic taste I’ve had! 👌🏼
We ordered Sushi from them and it was good. The order came in time and fresh. Loved the ice packing they sent along to keep the sushi cool for it to not go bad. The spice salmon could be spicier but it worked even without it... just one suggestion, in the age of free delivery, please don’t charge 10aed for delivery...
Their Seafood Tantanmen is the best.👌🏻 Serves two people and the price is reasonable. Not very impressed with their sushi though. Could be better.
This is my all time favorite Japanese restaurant in Dubai! I always explore their menu and I love everything - they are all so authentic and tasty ❤️
One of the Best place for Authentic Japanese Food, Value for Money & Taste , many options in Manu to Have, very Friendly staff always been my favorite place for sushi #RecommendedByObaid
When I was in Dubai for vacation just randomly I was checking over the internet for best and value for money Japanese food and voila! found out this beautiful rest on Sheikh Zayed road....near to Dusit Thani hotel. Once you enter the restaurant you feel as if you are in Japan. Ambience is mind-blowing. Staff is humble and ready to help you anytime. The food quantity is ENORMOUS! Had their chicken ramen and a Teriyaki chicken. Good food. Great place. Will visit whenever in Dubai! ❤😍🎉🎉👍
The place is hidden at the back of sheikh zayed road.. very subtle place and ambiance is okay..the food is good, especially the ramen.. i didnt like the takoyaki that much, tempura is tasty and crispy. Steak was really soft and delicious! Sushi not so recommended, the rice they used is saggy.
✔shoyu ramen
✔stamina steak
✔chicken ramen
✔takoyaki
✔sushi
✔tempura
My all-time favorite Japanese restaurant here in Dubai. Bentoya never fails to deliver good quality food. I always order maki rolls and ramen which is definitely the best in town!
If you’re on the hunt of a delectable Japanese food without really hurting your wallet, I would recommend Bento-ya kitchen. The portions are good for sharing and the cost is affordable. Plus points on good customer service and the servers are really attentive from the moment you enter until you exit the door.
Food: 3.8

Found my new favourite Japanese restaurant.. I am still wondering why I haven't heard of this place til now. Authentic Japanese food at reasonable prices..
ten chilli roll and nasu misu are our all time favorites, salmon sashimi, edemame and tempura are perfect too💗 just hate the their delivery is slow, i prefer to order via deliveroo
Want authentic Japanese food without breaking the bank! This is your place! Tried the the shrimp tempura udon and sushi platter, absolutely loved it, had my favourite blue hawai drink and topped it all with Hokkaido vanilla icecream!
Suggestion—>Go there and then go there again.
We are 8 years regular guest in Bentoya Kitchen and they deserve a 5 star!Grilled Karubi bento is my favorite ,also chicken teriyaki and okonomiyaki. We cannot resist to eat the Ten Goma roll specially when we ask the Chef to make it crunchy outside and extra cheese inside. As a Japanese food lover and resto hopper ,we recommend this restaurant.❤️#bentoyakitchen #japanesefoodlover
I discovered Bentoya back in 2014 and until now I am still in love with their dishes especially their authentic green tea ice cream.
Food - 5* Superb (literally Japanese authentic) 🤘🏻
Must try their ramen, sushi and bento box.
Staff - 4* welcoming and good in taking orders
Ambience - 3* not that big
Overall, you should try Bentoya! 💟
A dubai classic. Best value for money authentic japanese. The salmon sashimi is always fresh and the lobster is interesting to say the least. We eat there at least once a week and we always wait anxiously for the next visit.
I really enjoy Bentoya for the following reasons and is why i keep comming back to this humble japanese spot
The food is solid everything from spicy miso raman, okonomiyaki, makis and rice bowls etc etc
Good quality and good portions sizes
The prices are good and it doesn't break the bank
The service is good and not over bearing
Bottom line when you leave you feel good and happy about what you ate and you got your money worth.
Its somewhere i can eat at everyday.
Been to Bentoya several times for lunch. The food is always fresh and consistent in their quality. The restaurant it is quiet old and perhaps will need to be refurbished but still quiet cozy. This time I have try the sashimi tokujo very fresh, than shion don, one of my favorite and champion Rahmen. For selected dishes you can as well order half dish, in this way you are allowed to try several plates.
Felt very much like I am in Japan. Venue is amazing the staff are very welcoming. The food was amazing felt very fresh despite I was the last one ordering! This is my 8th time and nearly tried everything and had 0 issues with them! Worth the price

My review of Bentoya Kitchen – I came to this restaurant to try some of the interesting sushi rolls that are served heel I found that the rolls were original and pretty authentic. The sushi rolls here are not that bad. I enjoyed the sauces that were on top and the fillings were fresh.
The salmon in the salmon crab roll was tasty and seared properly. The combination of the sal on and crab stick was nice. The next roll that I had was the salmon crunchy roll, and the salmon was also tasty in this one. The crunch was from the tobiko on the outside of the roll, which was a great touch.
Finally, the lobster wasabi roll was my favourite. The lobster was rolled in with the wasabi, and it was a bit overpowering. I could barely taste the lobster, but the overall roll was delicious otherwise.
This restaurant deserves a rating of 4/5.
I ordered the salmon crab roll for 35DHS, lobster wasabi roll for 35DHS, and the salmon crunchy roll for 31DHS.
The pricing of the dishes here are normal for sushi.
The service that I received here was great with energetic and friendly staff members who worked hard to take our orders and deliver them to our table on time.
The ambience of the restaurant was nice restaurant with two levels, we sat upstairs so it was more quiet.
My comment couldn’t wait, Bentoya is awesome big servings for a very reasonable price, I love the wagyu bento and side pickle included, it compliments the rich flavor of the wagyu beef, definitely coming back here! ❤️
Food is quite good, nothing special but good. Portions are quite big. I really like their mixes sashimi. I didnt like at all ramen. If you have tried the ramen in Japan you will not definetly like these. They also do a good delivery.
One of the best Japanese food in Dubai. A staple that I love. The place is humble and the food authentic. The service is also impeccable. Love this place
Best “underground” Japanese restaurant in Dubai. All Japanese warm dishes and the sushi are superb. A lot of Japanese people come here to eat. They have even a Japanese manga collection. Ask for the nigiri foie gras (off the menu).
Being a big fan of japanese food and fresh fish, I could not leave Bentoya out of my list of favorites❤
Whatever you order in this place comes freshly made and neatly served🤗 All items in the menu are delicious, however, I would highly recommend you to go for salmon salad, chicken gyouza, eel, ten chili, salmon crab. For the dessert they treat you with their homemade sorbet absolutely free of charge in order to refesh your mind after such a diviiiiine experience.
Even being satisfied with Bentoya so much, I would like to mention that my take away experience was not as fresh as "dine-in". Nevertheless, it does not change my opinion about the place and I like them to remain in my list of favorite spots in Dubai with a resonable price policy.

Love this lovely Japanese restaurant, visited with family and really enjoyed the warm hospitality and the delicious food.
Great service, delicious food at a great price.
Highly recommended for authentic Japanese food in Dubai.
A cosy causal place. Very authentic.
Dishes:
Beef teriyaki
Spicy tuna roll
Shrimp tempura
Best was the sushi and would definitely recommend trying their sushi.
this is a classic 4/5 restaurant. when you get everything right, but not quite above expectation. my rating is a cross food, service, place and presentation.
Always one of the best places for sushi lovers, that’s me! Few items of what I had today there and for spicy food lovers, again that’s me, I would definitely recommend ordering the spicy edamame.
Oh, on a side note, their tempura udon is also worth trying!
Always been a preferance for fuss free, affordable Japanese food. Love the spicy salmon salad and the sushi is always made fresh upon order.
I’ve been on a HUGE ramen mission lately.
I order it whenever I see it on a menu, I’ve made it at home, my boyfriend made it too ( even making the noodles) bottom line is I’m obsessed with ramen!
Bentoya has definitely offered me the best ramen I’ve had in Dubai so far. I tried the Gekikara ramen and I totally loved it. I can’t wait to try the rest.
Ps: also try the black sesame ice cream 👌🏻
We were very pleased with the service and quality of food.
We tried the lobster sushi roll, shrimp appetizer, spicy beef ramen, and chicken katsu curry. Of these, the curry stood out the most, as the meat was very tender and the curry had just the right amount of flavor. For dessert, we tried the green tea and black sesame ice creams, which were also nice.
We’ll definitely be back!
Authentic Japanese. Value for money 5stars. Huge serving. Location is just a few minutes walk from Financial Center metro station. Fresh sushi. They also have a mini grocery store just behind the resto where you can buy japanese vegetables, dumplings, noodles, sweets etc. Black sesame ice cream - the best! Not too sweet, mixture of bitter ish and sweet. 😋
Really good sushi. I think the fish is fresh as there is a lot of turnaround in the restaurant. A little bit of the beaten track on Sheikh Zayed Road but definitely worth the trip. The prawn tempura wasn't the best but I will definitely come back and the prices are also very affordable.
Decided to go to Bentoya on my friend's recommendation. This is a cozy lil Japanese place tucked away where you can get a little taste of Japan. There are solo diners who come in for a bite and read away and families as well who come for some comfort Japanese food.
We tried the Seafood Yakisoba/Udon. This was delicious with fresh seafood such as calamari and prawns.
Also tried the Ten Chili which was shrimp tempura sushi rolls. This was my favourite!
For dessert, opted to have the black sesame ice cream as recently there's a new trend of black coloured food. This had a very familiar taste, similar to sesame laddoos in India. This would have been better if there weren't so many ice crystals in it.
I think I've become quite a Japanese cuisine fan after this experience!
After living in Japan, I swear nothing can change my mind on Ramen in any country, but this restaurant was actually really good. Often times when we do frequent Ramen restaurants, the ramen is flavorless or bland, and not cooked the way we want it too. There is a touch of authenticity with this restaurant that I found nice, like the egg in the ramen and the fact that the food isnt completely bland. The Miso ramen is really delicious. The noodles were firm and the sauce was flavorful. They even added extra meat. The portion size was good and the drinks were really good too. I love the variety of ice cream and juices that they have. My kids loved the food and drinks as well.
Best sushi for a great price. I'm so scared of trying any other sushi restaurant and being disappointed. The sushi is always fresh, the portions good and the price is more than reasonable. Definitely my go to sushi place.
Service is good and staff are friendly.
One of the best Japanese restaurants in dubai, not fancy but the food is superb! Value for money! 😍 That photo just sums up how we loved all the food and ordered a lot! 😅
For me Sushi means Bento - Authentic Japanese food. Sushi Sashimi and many other dishes I have tried here and the place has never let me down. One of the best Sushi in the city

For Japanese food lovers, this place is a little gem! We tried different maki rolls, sashimi tokujo, ebi tempura and the moyashi miso ramen. Everything was super tasty and the prices lower compared to Japanese places in different areas of Dubai.
Extra tip: for every 100 AED we were spending one maki roll platter was for free! :D
I truly recommend Bentoya Kitchen and will definitely visit it again!
As Japanese, this restaurant is not too bad like rating 1 or 2. I go there consistently when I miss Japanese mother food. It's because the price and quality. Only few Japanese restaurant are authentic in Dubai, most of them are fake with pricy.
With recommendation of my colleague, I dined here today, being a Japanese cuisine lover.
Got excited when there is Katsudon available in beef or chicken. I think chicken is better since beef has strong flavor and it is overpowering together with the sauce.
You will never go wrong with Ebi Tempura bento with 2 side dishes included.
Had promo when order reached 100aed and above, there is free maki of your choice. Tried the maki with unagi. Overall taste is so so.
Manga books with complete volumes are available. Valet parking is free.
Will try more maki next time. The ambiance is like Japan, also the smell. :)
PS There is Japanese Store near this resto called Gourmet-yah with few selections.

+4.5
Absolute delightful place
Quick fast delcious food
Ambience and service was great
Think will make this my new go to for sushi or seafood platter :)
And their ice cream (black sesame) YUMMY
This place is the most basic thing you can think of. Sushi is really good and the service is reasonably fast. There's a huge selection on the menu that includes sushi, bento, ramen and all sorts of hot dishes. Prices are very much in line with similar places.
We regularly order the maki rolls, sashimi, salads, miso soup and karubi from Bentoya. They have been our staple favourite for Japanese cuisine for a long time now. The quality is good and you know you will not fall sick. We also visit the place from time to time although it is usually quite busy all day and staff aren't all that attentive. Definitely recommended for good sushi and sashimi.
By far the best Japanese resto that serves the best ramen. Every time we eat here we always see Japanese families dining. :) Its a small place the menu is not extensive but they offer the best!
For a place that doesn't look like it serves quality food, it does just that - it's one of the only places in dubai where the chefs are so good they can make off menu items - I ordered a Futomaki, and their chef was able to deliver an exceptional version! It's a little gem that only those who have lived in dubai for a while know of (unless you are emirates crew and live in the neighborhood). They also have a retail store nearby that sells Japanese delicacies (mocha and Japanese ice cream!). Oh, I forgot the Seaweed Kit Kats!!
Definitely one of the best restaurants I been to that serve Japanese cuisine. The price is very good for what I got served , the food was so tasty and the portion size of the meal is big I couldn't finish it cause I was so full overall I loved the place i give the decor 3/5 , 4/5 for the ambience but the food was worth it it's 10/10 , I'm going back as soon as possible
Possibly best sushi in town. No frills, but fantastic quality. Also the beef ribs are amazing as well, definitely one to try out for sushi lovers
Bento-ya is a true Dubai hidden gem tucked behind the Sheikh Zayed Road near Dusit Thani Hotel - if you didn't know it was there, you'd never find it. It serves truly authentic Japanese food and is our regular stop to satisfy our Japanese cravings. You have to visit if you haven't already been!
To start, we had the Chicken Gyoza - these are lightly pan fried with a mince chicken filling and the juices still locked in. Absolutely delicious when you take your first bite and get all the flavours dancing together in your mouth. For AED 30, you get 7 pieces and they are quite decent in size - best to share so you still have space for more food!
One of our favourite sushi here is the Soft-shell Crab - medium rolls of deep fried soft shell crab with wasabi sauce and spicy mayonnaise. It costs AED 36 for 8 pieces. This is served warm and the crispy crab (anything deep fried is always good, isn't it!!?) is crunchy and the wasabi is creamy and has just the right amount of kick to it.
The other few we'd recommend are the Lobster Wasabi rolls (you can't have too much wasabi), Salmon Crab with Cheese, Salmon Crunchy and Spicy Salmon served fresh with a spicy sauce. There are so many more that are good but we'd just end up putting down the whole menu here!
Bento-ya do some of the best Ramen I've had in Dubai. This time around, we had the Gekikara Rahmen - extra spicy minced chicken and vegetables in a rich chicken soup - If your taste buds can't handle a lot of spice, they can tone this down for you and do a medium spicy version.
This is AED 55 for a full portion that is more than enough for two people to share; or they do a half portion for AED 42.
They also do a Seafood Ramen, Minced beef and a vegetarian option and offer either a Miso (fermented bean), Shoyu (Soy sauce) or Shio (salt) broth.
Last up was the Seafood Yakisoba - Pan fried egg noodles with seafood and vegetables. The egg noodles are cooked to perfection and stir fried in a light soy based sauce. AED 50 for this sizeable portion.
Bento-ya never fails to impress - good portion sizes for not a lot of money and always, always great food! The service is fantastic - quick and friendly, the staff know the menu and are always ready to help with their recommendations.

Bento-ya is a good place to try Japanese food. Although plenty of food is on the menu, why don't you try Bento? "Bento" means a boxed lunch and "Ya" means a house, so "Bento-ya" means a boxed lunch house (like a steak house)! You may notice that Bento-ya, of course, has a lot of Bentos. Among them, I prefer "Kaki (Oyster) Fry Bento" and "Nasu (Eggplant) Miso Itame (stir-fried) Bento." They are a little cheaper than other Bentos but taste really good. Needless to say, Sashimi Bento and Tempura Bento are also great. Of course, you can order Bento for dinner! Staff is very friendly and kind. If temperature is not high, outside seats are comfortable.
First branch I tried was the one in Garhoud then next here. The place is not that big but a two store with an outdoor and a view for Burj Khalifa. Serving is enough with the price, not too good not too bad but okay. The ramen is perfect with a big bowl enough for my liking. The sushis are authentic as well and freshly prepared by the live kitchen so its fairly enough a good place for relaxing and a japanese food.

Anyone who has lived in Japan and wants to get that feeling of just going out to get food (rather than going out to somewhere that declares itself to have Japanese food and charges most of the cost of flying to Japan) wants to go to Bentoya.
It reminds me strongly of places I used to eat at in Kyoto and Osaka. The food is authentic, excellent and great value for money. The atmosphere is laid back and the staff are genuinely friendly and helpful.
Most of the group I went with have never been there before. All love Japanese food and all want to go back.

We love Bentoya so much. It's always very delicious, fresh and super quick. We've been eating there for the last 10 years and never had bad experience. Always absolutely great!

First time trying authentic Japanese food.
Was actually better than expected.
Although I'm interested in Japanese culture and cuisine, I've never really tried Japanese food other than a couple of times wagamama, which is arguably kind of westernised, so I figured I'd try bentoya.
While posting this I realised I forgot to try their ice-cream, so maybe I'll go again. I hope they'll have vanilla then because they didn't this time.
I had gekikara spicy ramen and grilled karubi bento.
The karubi is was kinda like beef bites so it wasn't especially fulfilling, or I just need to manage my expectations 🤣
One thing I liked is that the bento had English descriptions under all the items instead of doing it the way gazebo does - explaining Hindi words in Hindi.
They offer Esaad discounts but the dishes were more expensive than I thought they would be.
They also have a manga section, which is nice
