Nice place, very comfortable and the food is good! I had my breakfast there and It is a very nice experience, with my family! The price is good and a little bit expensive!!
I like the selection of food at Lime Tree Cafe. The portions are just right and the prices I would say are fair for the experience.
Visited this place for an event. Loved the coffee and the fresh baked cakes.
The ambience is really nice. Kids friendly place. They have a nice play corner for kids ti keep the kids busy , so mama's can sip there coffee with peace.
Try there carrot cake and coffee. You will like it.
This place has the best vibe, it's laid back and makes you feel cosy and at home.
You can get a lot of healthy options on the menu they have a variety of gluten free options.
I wish this place was open longer as it's only open till 7 PM.
We ordered the the banana cake with frosting which was delicious and the grilled sandwich with some chamomile tea. The food is pretty fresh and healthy.
PS they also allow dogs which is a plus.
Great place and great concept that let you feel that you are at home . service is wonderfull . food is super . I think it is suitable for every body singels and family . well done
Went with friends to breakfast, nice set up, good location easy to access.
Service was good and fast.
Food as always good taste and presentation.

We tried Lime Tree Cafe for a Brunch. We have been big fans of their organic, fresh and simple flavors. Along with the open and lit up interior.
We ordered BreakFast Frittata, New Zealand Beef Sandwich and Lemon and Coconut Cake. The sandwich and frittata were served with a simple fresh green salad with a very nice balancing vinegrette.
The frittata had potatoes, bacon, eggs, tomatoes and a salsa on top. The dish really gelled together and we liked the texture brought in by the baked potatoes. The balance of the dish was great and everything was pretty tasty. The Beef Sandwich had a crusty bread with roasted beef and mushrooms. The umam'ish flavors of beef and mushrooms worked well together and was a very tasty experience too.
The Lemon and Coconut cake had coconut flakes with lemon mostly incorporated in the frosting. The best thing for us was that the cake was tasty, enjoyable without being overly sweet. The cake was enjoyable for the unique combo and balance of Lemon and Coconut bringing in a tropical cake flavor which was new.
All in all we had a great experience worth trying again.

First time I visited the place & I have not been here earlier ☹️ , mince pie & coconut white chocolate tart tasted best , they are baking all type party items , they serve breakfast which I will try soon
Good healthy food. Love stopping in for a quick bite. Mushroom truffle sandwich is a favorite of mine. Good for meetings as it’s a central location and really love heir coffee. Really friendly staff they know and understand what you want. A regular of mine for sure.
just like the other outlets this place never fails to disappoint! love their berry smoothie and the salad selection, as well as the coffees and mini supermarket thing inside!
Lime Tree in JBR is a regular spot for me due to its proximity to where I live and because of the nice ambiance and view of the sea and Dubai Eye. That's why I wanted to try Lime Tree on SZR. It is a very large and spacious cafe and serves organic and natural food and coffee. On weekends, it is a cool spot to grab your coffee and read your magazine or newspaper or work on your laptop. The design and seating is cool but not very comfortable. There is also a market section where they sell some stuff. They have a very small kids play area but it doesn't look clean which is the case for toilets as well. My regular choice in Lime Tree is filter coffee in plunger which serves 2-3 cups of nice coffee and chocolate cake.
Had carrot cake and a cappuccino. The coffee is good and the carrot cake was absolutely divine! Lime tree does cakes really well and am definitely going again to try the other cakes. The ambience is casual and the service was good.
The LTC is a beautiful cafe in a good location overlooking the every busy shk Zayed road. once you enter you forget the busy world outside instantly.
I visited on a weekday for a breakfast meeting . what I loved about the place is that it is a self service when it comes to placing your order so nobody rushing at your table to take your order. I sat for 15 minutes doing nothing but soaking in the peaceful ambience with sound of water in the background. perfect to kick start your day. i ordered scrambled eggs n toast. food was yummy and cooked perfectly. service friendly with a smile .
A sooper place to have some quality " me" time or a quite "we" time. go in the morning on a week day and start off your day on a high positive note. bonus points I have given for the ambience n the service.
worth a visit.
Till then Happy Eating n Contended Living...
This is my second visit and I looked forward to being there again. It was a brekkie break for us girls. The free flow of the REFRESHING lemon and mint water was indeed very good. I ate a Levantine breakfast which was great but for the bread which obviously got cold and tough to soon. great place.. loved the cosy ambience and will be back ....
If you didn’t know, I am obsessed with interiors and Lime Tree is exactly my style, they even have similar items that I have at home. So, I loved the interiors. My friend has been bragging me about this place for a long time but I just got a chance to visit it today.
I had French press and the big one for breakfast, which has organic eggs, bacon, sausage, and some veggies in it. It was absolutely delicious. Even the toast was something special. If you are very hungry, go for it! However, I wasn’t really impressed with the coffee, it was rather light to my taste. Maybe I should have ordered americano.
After the breakfast I had the carrot cake which was an absolute delicacy. As my friend said, it’s the best carrot cake in town!
Not only they have amazing interiors, delicious &healthy food, but also they have long tables that offers very nice environment you can take your work with you. We love working remotely at Red, and we will be here very often ;)
The whole concept is so different and nice.
Their food is healthy so it's a really great choice for a working day.
Their potato quiche is so yummy and so is the chicken pide sandwich.
I love the coffee here, it's just the right size and definitely the right amount.
This place is value for money
I had their strawberry yoghurt smoothie. It was really good. The cafe is quiet cool and calm. Best for early mornings. I love having my breakfast here with some good reading. They also have this detox water which is so refreshing.
Came here for breakfast on a Friday with my husband at around 10.30. The cafe is spacious and comfortable with nice decor.
You order and pay at the counter which is great for an easy getaway after your meal, no need to flag down a waiter. The staff were all very nice and friendly though.
It’s a very relaxed place where you can sit and chat away for as long as you like. Not too noisy like some cafes where you can barely hear your table mates.
They had a decent looking breakfast menu, as well as a glass display full of seriously delicious looking quiches, wraps, toasties and more. I was keen to try a quiche but swapped my mind at the last minute - will have to come back another time because they had many veggie options here that all looked scrumptious.
My husband was feeling hungry and got the veggie breakfast as well as a veg and haloumi toastie. He was super satisfied after and said it was probably the best breakfast he’s had in Dubai!
I had the Nourish Bowl with a side of scrambled egg. It was delicious, healthy and incredibly tasty! I think this might have been a new item on the menu - it had kale, edamame, haloumi, brocolli, cauliflower, avocado, corn, pomegranate seeds, pumpkin seeds, and a dash of chia - wonderful fresh ingredients that are really good for you! It was very filling and satisfying - I loved it. And it’s a big serving too!
Both of our meals were cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. Plus this place is great value for money as well.
I had a bit of a sweet tooth so got a vanilla chai tea and some gingerbread cookies to finish, which were perfect. There was also no charge for soy milk on the side of the tea which was nice. They have a lot of great looking cakes, brownies and cookies on offer here - worth a try for sure.
The place is an easy walk from FGB metro if you bring an umbrella which is also a great positive.
The whole experience left me feeling super chilled and happy. I would definitely recommend the Lime Tree and come back again. Its probably our new favourite cafe in Dubai :)
Update: Came back to try the carrot cake this cafe is famous for. And it did not disappoint in the slightest. I absolutely loved it. Such a moist, light, scrumptious delight - a real treat.
On this visit I also tried a black rice, goats cheese, pumpkin and rocket nori roll with a miso sauce on the side and it was good. I love how much they have on offer here for vegetarians. There was also four different flavours of veggie quiche too. Amazing!
Keep up the great work Lime Tree Cafe :)
Was recommended by one of my girls for healthy lunch. Loved the place, awesome interiors and very friendly staff. Had breakfast, Salman eggs Benedict. Loved their lemon curd cheesecake. Highly recommended.

Comments: One of our favourite breakfast places is Limetree Cafe. We often visit the sheikh zayed road branch for a lazy meal over the weekends. They serve a wide variety of organic sandwiches, wraps, breakfast items and desserts. The ambiance is rustic and relaxed and usually busy with families over the weekend. We love their breakfast meals, carrot cake and lemon tarts. Overall a great place to have a chilled out meal with friends or family.

The Lime Tree Cafe & Kitchen is a wonderful cafe which offers all organic food items including coffee.
The ambience of the cafe is one of a kind. They have tree gorgeous trees planted right in the middle of the cafe. The feel of Lime Tree Cafe is quite rustic and comfortable and you'll probably find that its busy most of the time.
I've dined here more than once and never been disappointed with the food and service. The only disappointing experience here was with one of the cashiers who didn't speak to me appropriately on two occasion.
Their daily offerings are constantly changing but their salad, sandwiches and desserts are absolutely delicious.
Food recommendations -
1. Carrot Cake
2. Almond Fudge Cheesecake
3. Chicken and Pumpkin patties
I've tried most of the coffees from their menu and all of them are amazing. Keeping aside the unpleasant cashier experience, I enjoy visiting this cafe.
Food was Tasty but a bit expensive. I have ordered salty caramal tart and mango cheesecake. It was a take home order. Cheesecake was yummy. I liked it. Hopefully i ll visit the place again.
Always loved visiting Lime Tree since I first visited its branch in Media City, and I still love the freshness of the food here. Had the Salmon risotto fritters, the aubergine and bacon couscous, a cold coffee and a date and espresso cheesecake. The couscous was a bit average in terms of the taste, and the fritters were a little dry. The cheesecake was was delicious, but lacking in the promised date and espresso flavors.
The ambience and the service are great, as always.
A little more work in the food department would really push this place up. Would definitely come back.
Love this place, they have the best cakes in town! Definitely worth a stop for a coffee and cake if you're in the area. Highly recommend the date and dark chocolate torte.
I have been there few times. I enjoyed the interior, it looks so clean and spacious. I liked their coffees and sandwiches, their muffins also. A lot of interesting and healthy choices! Would come back!
I love this place especially for weekend breakfast. It is usually packed with families and kids. Their French press coffee is not bad. I like the chicken and cheese wrap and their cakes are to die for. The berries cheesecake is one of my favorites as well as the carrot cake. I also tried their Keish once and it was really good... i like the open space concept. Service is always good and prices are moderate..
Love this place for the clean healthy food options they have. They also a kids corner where my daughters loves to play.
For Vegans, they have plenty of options and they are always happy to substitute some ingredients to make it a Vegan options.
Must go for a good start to your day! We decided to begin the Friday with some good breakfast, when we entered the place, we were in awe looking at the beautiful set up with a few organic things /baking goods on sale!
We ordered for the eggs with fresh mushrooms and veggies plus some flat coffee.
My friend who was a vegan had a few good choices too.
It's a self service restaurant.
Healthiest selection of breakfast and lunch a great place for business meetings! A very chilled out atmosphere with friendly staff and rustic interior decor. We usually love to indulge ourselves in their big breakfast options with omlette ranging to various styles and also customizable as per your choice. Their desserts are to die for do not miss out the carrot cake, while the slices may be huge it's definitely worth trying on your cheat day. Their drinks are as fresh as their salads and flavourful. I always buy fudge from here it's reasonable and super delicious. Thank you team for the great experience :)
Not a bad place to have a quick bites or takeout. Nice concept with different and unique atmosphere.
The wrap was delicious and recommended.
The display was rich and quite well organize.
Keep it up.
A nice and cozy restaurant located opposite MOE.
I went to this restaurant as they allow to dine outdoors with pets.
We were a large group of 10 and dined outdoors with our pet dog. The restaurant serves lots of fresh and healthy options.
Service was a little slow.
Prices are decent.
The restaurant has a very warm and cozy vibe, a nice option to dine with your family and pets :)
Good restaurante especially if your looking for a health meal. I like also that they focus on good food and quick bite for affordable price. I work close by and have lunch frequently. In my opinion it is very convenient for business lunch always feeling lite after meal and not very expensive. Recommend for all who are living or working around this area
I have been to Um Al Sheif brunch couple of times. The food is incredibly tasty. And also healthy. Fresh scones are to die for. I loved variations of cooked pumpkin, yumm. The pistachio cake with apricots is probably the best desert I have eaten this year. You should have a meal here definitely.
I would always crave their chicken, bacon flat bread that I can't remember the name of. The ambience is simple and very "foreign customers" restaurant. The food is what i call "tumblry" - simple, healthy and tasty! However, i tried several desserts at lime tree and it did not reach my satisfication like the rocky road and caramel short bread biscuit they use is just too crumbly and tastes bad. Service is very slow when bringing food but i still love going their due to the decoration and not an arab-local restaurant
Convenient location on SZR that has plenty of paid on street parking and FGB metro station near by.
It was nearly empty on a weekend evening so it's actually a great place to catch up with friends in a relaxed setting.
I ordered the infamous carrot cake which was excellent. Enough to share between 2 and cost 30dhs.
Would definitely come back again.
Consistent! Quality! Comfort!
A fairly dependable place for breakfast and lunch
Plenty of seating
Paid/streetside parking outside
Lots of choices for breakfast meals with eggs
A wide selection of cakes and scones freshly made each day
You can't go wrong at LTC!
[You have to select/pay upfront, and your food is brought to you to your table!]
This is one place that has not been bitten by the bug of commercialisation. Still very homely and the food is outstanding and the people are very friendly. The only thing is missing is having a bit more options for kids.....
Best carrot cake in town. Great ambience - spacious cafe and familiar music. Well organised cafe and seating. Retail fudge, biscuits and paraphernalia in store are unique and good for keep sake. Second time here and will definitely return...
One of my favorite place.
The food and drink are amazing healthy and clean.
The stuff are friendly enough when you can find someone, could be a bit more attentive and ask if anything is needed or if the food is enjoyable etc.
Great surroundings and nice customer service, the food looked stunning. However it just lacked a bit of power on the flavors side.
Ordered chicken brochettes (a bit bland) potato salad (very good) chicken and bacon toastie (bland) and risotto cakes ( tasty but a bit stodgy)
A good meal in great surroundings but could do with upping the flavors more.
Located next to the metropolitan hotel . Very good service food didn't take long . The food tasted fresh and their carrot cake is AMAZING. The egg Benedict tasted just like I thought it would. Orange juice was too soar for my taste. The roast beef sandwich after being toasted became even more dry and almost tasteless but overall very good service.
Lovely cakes and Christmas decoration. Had heard a lot of its carrot cake and it was amazing a must try on my list. They have variety of Christmas Choco fudge and gingerbread as take away
What we went for: breakfast and celebrating many things - first of all u.a.e's 45th national day and secondly me @ home with the cute girls on a fri.
The great, balmy weather also gets credit for us being out since 7 am..the hour of serenity by the blue sea/ white sands with kids frolicking abt, remind me why I love dubai despite what anyone says!:)
Ambience: I have to be honest, the exteriors and the approach belie the interiors. The dusty, lifeless service road on which the cafe is set leaves you in self doubt for venturing beyond your comfort zone! Thankfully, once you take the leap of faith and get inside.. its a whole new world..to be precise the Christmas wonderland greets you.. and you are instantly transported to a festive fete..I can write a whole chapter on the cakes on display. It felt like I had walked into a "Enid Blyton" or a "Linda chapman" book. The cakes -Made for kids of all ages :)!
the place is huge and dotted with plastic olive trees and not lime trees, strange?! Steel furniture to complete the look.
What we ordered: overwhelmed by the mouth watering, visual display and with no time to comprehend the descriptions on the blackboard, I decided to go with the weekend specials. The hot smoked salmon benedict and pancakes with caramelized bananas and maple syrup for the lovelies. Espresso and orange juice.
A Brownie and gingerbread to go..
Price: Aed 160
Verdict: its a bit unnerving to place the order at the till with the kids prancing around and seriously high levels of temptations all around. You almost wish that the person ahead of you is stuck for a while longer till you can absorb the information and make the right decision.
Anyways, in my case - I just went with the 1st item on the weekend special for me the 2nd one for the kids to share and an espresso..
We settled on the inside seating by the window, as I wasn't prepared to share my meal with the flies or the road side dust. The girls agreed reluctantly but were thankfully distracted by the kids play area. Too kiddish for the older one who was promptly back. The younger one seems to be battling her newly instilled anxiety about strangers- "the strangers" were all her size therabts and I must say as cute !:)
When the food arrived, I requested for another plate to divide the pancakes for the girls.. but that took too long to be taken care of in my opinion..I must admit the cafe was getting steadily busier as well.
The hot smoked salmon spinach benedict was beyond belief. I do not recall specifying how I wanted the eggs done.. but they were done perfectly just as I would have liked- medium runny. Highly recommended.
The pancakes were crispy on the outside, fluffy inside, absolutely irresistible and went really well with the caramelized bananas and were generously doused in maple syrup.
Food overall gets a huge thumbs up. fresh, clean, delicious.
We spent another half hour after breakfast strolling around, enquiring abt the cakes and goodies. All the food and cakes are freshly prepared in the Al Quoz kitchen everyday before being shipped to the other 2 branches around town.
It was fascinating to watch the kids make their choice- they could each pick 1 treat...with so many options and distractions galore and 1 choice to make! How do you zoom in on the one thing that is meant for you? Aah well! I must say they did well - the younger one picked a gingerbread snowman and the older one - a triple chocolate brownie.. and me the adult- I remained so confused I chose to do nothing :)!
Would I return? Yes, the place demands it especially with Christmas holidays arnd the corner!
I do intend to stock up on Christmas treats for the family and as gifts to give away and hopefully having had more time I can make a wise choice of things I really need or want.We can't have it all and we really don't need it all but there's no harm in considering them all..
If I end my review on a philosophical note, then it's probably worth a detour? Food for thought as they say?
I've been craving for carrot cake for a while as I tried couple of different places but nothing was satisfying.
So decided to go to Lime Tree, since all branches close at 6pm we went to the one on sheikh zayed road.
We were two and decided to take three different cakes, they looked so good couldn't resist it.
So we took my long waited carrot cake, lemon tart and sicilian cake. I would say OMG it really is the best carrot cake, it's not heavy at all and tastes soooo good.
Lemon tart was amazing too.
The sicillian cake was average but it might be because of mixing too many flavors with the lemon tart and carrot cake it lost the taste.
But great place with great Christmas decoration and yummy yummy cakes! Loved it :)
I personally loved this place because it allows pets - i have a dog 🐶 & also because of its choice of healthy and fresh food was yummy!
I came all the way from Sharjah, because i found out it allows pets and that was great in itself. Not too many locations allow pets and Limetree is one of them allowing our furry friends.
The choice of healthy fresh food was amazing too. I loved the grilled chicken panini, was delicious. A bog bowl of fresh quinoa salad is the healthiest and must-go choice ! They even offered my pet with a huge bowl of water. Sweet of them to take care of our pets too.
I surely recommend this branch to everyone , who just wants to grab a bit of yummy food & especially to pet owners.

I am going to be harsh and give it a 3.5, which technically is not deserved!!! And yes there was a time when I would have rated this cafe the best in Dubai. Well it is still up there – right on TOP!!! So you, the reader, must be wondering why the hell not give it the 4.5 or 5.0 it deserves you miserable bipolar *@#$!!!
Well, here’s the thing, Lime tree café has become the American Idol of restaurants. It was a good reality show, quirky, creative, sexy and got out some crazy talent from the streets and turned them Pro! That’s what Lime tree did to the humble Carrot Cake (its like magic exploding in your mouth) but then over the years they, American Idol found a nice formula and stuck with it; till the Voice, a pretender to the show, came and took over!!!
By far, there is very little competition to the Lime Tree café. Many pretenders have come, few survived and yet fewer have stood to the test of serving great food! Lime tree Café is still magical and its many sandwiches wraps, cakes etc. tickles the very cockles of my heart …BUT
… what else? Can we get something different, turn the very essence of its ethos on its head. After all the best creative café in Dubai should upset the status quo and reinvent the very wheel that made it run! I want the best café in town to take places where no Kiwi (some of you will understand this) has gone before…
So my verdict – “You have missed out on life if you haven’t eaten at Lime Tree Café!” – Quote Alex John
I loved the ambience of the place. The place looks really cool and minimal. I only had gingerbread cookies the last time I went but I definitely want to go back for drinks/food!
Ridhi Maskara Lohia .
Came here for a breakfast.
Multigrain feta and roasted pumpkin salad with potato quinoa salad.
We thoroughly enjoyed the super fast breakfast.
Great food and ambience
A good place for healthy food option. Must try their pasta salad, chicken panini, caramel cheese cake and chicken pie. Their sheikh Zayed branch has a very nice ambiance with a friendly staff how wer they can work on getting their service quality a bit better

Timings mention are 7am until 10pm. To my surprise and disappointment they have something called "summer working hours from 7.30 am until 7pm."
At least if this was updated on zomato, wouldn't have wasted my drive to this area.
Please guys have the time changed on zomato. Less inconvenience will be caused
After visit Lime Tree in Jumeirah, you feel nothing could beat this location and that no one Lime Tree will ever feel as good as this one but Lime Tree has truly outdone themselves with the Al Manara outlet located on Sh. Zayed road post 3 interchange.
This branch is a large size space with a great large outdoors. Both indoors and outdoors are done up in a charming style keeping within the Lime Tree design DNA of urban industrial, grey stone finish, which is super simple and soothing. The outdoors are truly enjoyable in the cooler months.
They offer their complete menu for food and drinks along with a nice packaged/takeout food section, which has a nice variety too. The food and drinks are great as always with my favorite still being their Carrot Cake. But something that I found super refreshing is their new Mango mocktail, yum!
If you are a Lime Tree fan, this place is a must visit!
My wife got desserts from this place to celebrate my birthday,
The goodies such as the tomato and basil crackers, how awesome were they!
No one does carrot cakes better than them, I vouch for it.
Super moist, heavenly frosting, with one bite my face lit.
The slice of chocolate cake and brownies were devoured on the celebration night,
Coming back for some legendary carrot cake and more, the place in itself is a delight.
We always visit Lime tree cafe for breakfast but this time a group friends met for lunch. Lovely laid back place for chilled relaxed meal. So instead of of going for the eggs and hot drinks we tried more of their lunch menu items. Tried the chicken & veg toastie which was quite good, I also had a bit of the pumpkin/chicken fritter and it was soo good & well spiced. Will definitely be ordering that the next time. Pizzas did not disappoint either. We then ended off with their famous carrot cake which definitely was the highlight. It was moist & delicious & the cream cheese frosting was perfect. Definitely a place to frequent and its always consistent
Yummy food. I love the food display very appealing. The food offerings are not complicated and unpretentious. Great place to hang out with friends
After seeing a lot of insta posts of lime tree cafe especially about completing 15 years was looking forward to trying them out.
Was around jumeriah the other morning and decided to get some take away.
I must say their decor was so vibrant, green and bright with their huge glass windows.
Tried and tasted:-
Carrot cake
3 Cheese scones
Strawberry milkshake
Review:
Coming soon
One of Dubai’s most popular home grown cafes, Lime Tree Café recently unveiled it’s delicious new Gluten Free Bakery. I was invited to this event at their Sheikh Zayed Road outlet. Lime Tree Café celebrated it’s 15th Anniversary this year. Over the period of fifteen years, it has grown incredibly-from a team of 15 to 130, it also has three amazing locations in Jumeirah 1, Sheikh Zayed Road and Al Quoz.
Love love love this cafe. Everything is amazing: The decor, vibe and most importantly the food. I loved the way food was displayed, you literally end up eating with your eyes. We tried the veggie veg breakfast which came with two poached eggs (choice of scrambled and fried too), steamed spinach, sautéed mushrooms and grilled tomato. I opted out of the hash brown, which my friend said it wasn't your regular deep fried potato, instead was mixed with cheese and herbs and was super flavourful. We also ordered the seasonal Alfonso mango cheesecake with a deliciously creamy cheese frosting. My fried swears by their flat white coffee and I went for an Americano with soy beverage on the side. I was disappointed with the coffee I must say- veg weak. And while I asked for it to be changed, it came back equally weak. I'm a coffee snob and this didn't help at all. However, the food is divine and I want to eat EVERYTHING. Will be going back soon.
Another good experience at a different branch of Lime Tree Cafe. Usually I go there for their breakfasts but this time around I had gone during lunch. Tried two different toasted wraps one with turkey ham and the other with halloumi. As always they didn't disappoint. Also had a vegetable pie which was very nice too. Lime Tree Cafe continues to be a dependable haunt!!
Great place for desert lovers, with huge pastries and great coffee. The menu isn't extensive but you could pick any pastry and you would fall in love with it. The same goes for coffee, especially the french press. If you are a vegetarian though, your options are limited to just coffee and tea at times...
Having heard a lot about Lime Tree and never having gone, it seemed like a good opportunity to pop in when a fellow kiwi suggested a lunch catch up. After quite the confusion about which branch we were meeting at (there are now two, with the original being in Jumeirah), we eventually arrived at the Sheikh Zayed Road branch.
This is one of the more relaxed mellow branches .
Parking is an issue though...especially in the evening.
Great sandwiches. ....professionally made.
Great cakes.....carrot cake was surprisingly refreshing with its hints of cinnamon.
The hotdog sandwich however was a complete disaster with its herbs...thyme and oregano !!!!! Whyyyyy?!?!?!?!
Also... staff is slightly unattentive and are busy running around pretending to look busy in an otherwise wide empty restaurant with literally 5 customers only!
But overall great chilled experience

The jury is still out on these guys for me.
Plus points
Nice salads
Good breakfasts
Produce seems to be good quality
Evening times it's very quite and a nice atmosphere
Cakes are very nice and often the offerings are things you will not find elsewhere.
Really nice jacket potatoes with mixed in favours.
Negative points
They don't let you take pictures of their food 😤
They seem to treat the staff not very well (I hear things)
The acoustics are a nightmare and it takes during the day it's a favourite with mums that lunch so the residual kid noise can travel around the whole place making it sound like a Inner city London swimming pool, which just destroys my peace (they need some more soft furniture to combat this)
They charge AED 30 for a pack of biscuits (😱😱😱)
Over all I think their are more plus points but I would like to see them get it right with the staff. They used to be really happy but since the new HR guy has come in a a year or so back he seems to be really cracking down on them. I don't enjoy my time their as much when I see this.
I sneaked a few pictures when the coast was clear, but I felt like a spy in doing so.

A Pleasant place and consistent quality... Tried different options from display... The cakes and tarts are very good. Only tried the big breakfast once, was ok ... I'd go for the sandwiches next time...
Lime Tree Cafe is definitely one of the best places for breakfast. Had a meeting there one of these days, my eyes just opened wide when i saw their interiors. They stack up fresh food and just looking at that makes your heart beat faster. Just as it looks, it tastes great. I had the halloumi twist sandwich with Mango Madness. The mango shake tasted super fresh even though it wasnt too sweet. The cheese and halloumi went well as well, was served super hot so it took a while to chew through. I really loved their setting inside and would love to go back for brunch.
I have been in Dubai for long and have tried lime tree in Jumeirah but this branch near the FGB station really took me by surprise! Nestled quietly on the off road of sheikh zayed road( closed to FGB metro station) this branch is quite spacious... We tried a chicken sandwich with was grilled with bacon and corn and cheese along with an indian spiced salad. I was really intrigued by the salad which had some lovely vegetables - aubergine, some purple colour yam, roasted potato and quinoa... Very healthy and nutritious and delicious I must say... Even the sandwich blew me away... Not to cheesy , the mix of chicken bacon and corn was just right and perfectly toasted.. I just enjoyed my meal and didn't feel too guilty Abt it... U could tell their ingredients were fresh and that reflected in the taste of the dish! Considering the quality I thought the price was fair... I summed my date with a delicious coffee and their yummy carrot cake with cream cheese! Great place to catch up with friends over a coffee or meal!
Food is always fresh and tasty. Service is good. I got take away and I noticed the portions are a bit small compared to the price. Still tasted fantastic though.
Lime Tree Café. So, for those of you relatively new to Dubai, you wouldn’t have remembered the phenomenon that was Lime Tree Café. They opened their doors in 2001, which was only a few years ago, I thought, until I did the maths. 2001 was fifteen years ago! To survive fifteen years in an industry as cutthroat and fickle as the restaurant industry is no mean feat. But then again, these New Zealanders are a cunning nation.
Good food. Good ambience. Not so easy on your wallet ;)
We came here for breakfast on a weekend. Like any contemporary cafe, they offer various choices; many of them with organic food. I wanted to have eggs but strangely they do not do egg whites so instead I chose the Haloumi Tomato Toastie displayed at their counter. It didn't seem like a big deal but tasted pretty good and was filling. I ordered the Blackberry Cleanse Smoothie which I loved! Blackberries and banana blended with coconut water - healthy, filling and refreshing!
The ambience is good - relaxed with an earthy decor. They also have a small store where they sell stuff made with linen and recyclables I suppose. Service was prompt and the staff are courteous.
The verdict: If you feel like having some simple fresh food in a fancy set up (including the price!) this is a good place to try. The food looks very tempting especially their sandwiches and desserts. I would love to go back and check out more...
Rating is based on catering for a 5 year olds birthday party. Ordered their Chicken Dukkah and their Zesty Bbq chicken with caramelized onion sandwiches. Great packaging, awesome taste.
At another friends party we also had their burgers and the Nutella and Raspberry Sandwiches. The food was awesome. The experience was great. The location on Sh. Zayed Road is spacious and great for families.
Thumbs up
