When you really want to complete that slight sweet tooth feeling ,this place is surely the place for you .Their concept of giving you dessert in claypot to give you that earthy touch in your dessert is quite interesting plus a concept of being environment friendly . The taste ,theme is quiet nice although is kind of little expensive to pay . The sweet token of giving their customers the claypot and seeds for them to grow at home is beautiful way of thanking their customers.

We are a true dessert lover and so this beautiful place seemed like a trip to heaven. Ambience was unique, beautifully decorated with flowers and earthern pots.<br/><br/>We tried Earth cake, sand cake and mud cake. Each and every cake tasted was so fresh. It was very soft and luscious too . My favourite being Earth cake with Nutella.<br/><br/>We also had Om ali with some warm milk on the side and Basbosa. Portion of Om Ali was very generous. Sweetness of both were just perfect.<br/><br/>Spoon & Glaze is a must visit for every dessert lover. Surely going to visit back to try other variety.

Amazing concept and hats off to the owners in visualizing such a great concept. All the Pastries, Ice Creams & Desserts are served in mud pots and dressed up like a flower pot. At first sight it looks like a nursery with real plants and we wonder what a nursery is doing in the middle of Dubai Mall. It really promotes the green concept.<br/><br/>At the end they also give us a mud pot with mud and flower seeds & encourages us to plant. It is a place for children, parents & Grand Parents as well. The whole family will enjoy this experience of green.<br/><br/>The tables are also set on a green mat. The whole atmosphere is set on their theme. And with the 4.7 review , had high expectations .<br/><br/>Ordered their Nutella cake desert and an Umm Ali <br/><br/>As well as a coffee and hot chocolate .<br/><br/>Nutella desert was too sweet .<br/><br/>Umm ali was more balanced compared to the Nutella desert , without the overpowering sweetness , some nuts but not enough Raisins.<br/><br/>Coffee was lavazza pods , and the hot chocolate was also very rich .<br/><br/>Think I ordered the wrong desert , even though the waiter told me it was the best seller ...

This is a very innovative restaurant which has some scrumptious dessert options, which will defiantly leave your tummy satisfied. The dishes are all served in a clay pot, where they provide us with clay and seeds to grow into this pot once done eating. On the 2nd level, in between the two walkways, this very cute cafe is there. It's like a small nersery with pots and green grassed floor. Everything is eco friendly. Wooden chairs and racks etc. Flowers and shrubs make for a oleasant garden like atmosphere.<br/>Their usp is cakes in earthen pots.<br/>We opted for a Kunafa and a kiwi juice as we were not hungry enough.<br/>The Kunafa was at 42 dhs. Quite good. Large. With dry nuts. Everything served on earthen pots.<br/>The kiwi juice was totally natural and without any added sugar at 34 dhs.<br/>A small water is 9 dhs here.<br/>Overall it's slightly pricey but food is tasty. Artistic.<br/>I visit again for the deliciously looking cakes in pots.. Recommended if the budget is acceptable.

This is a one of a kind concept where you get your cakes served in beautiful clay pots. They have everything from kunafa to tiramisu and mud cake to earth cake. I tried the mud cake and the earth cake - one served cold and one served nice and warm. They tasted really fresh and delicious. Good enough portion for 2-3 people.

Very cute little edible flower pots desserts! We got the pistachio sand cake and the Nutella Earth cake (my fave one). They are moist and creamy, not the best dessert I’ve had but a nice way to give in to your sweet cravings! Almost too cute to eat! They are quite small in size but they r rich and quite filling!

Wow, great place. I ordered a Lebanese started I don't remember the name but that was delicious. I ordered a veg pizza too..along with a juice ... And it was a tasty treat. I would love to visit some other time to.... Though it seemed s little expensive.. but it was worth it. Seating .. nice ...... Ambiance ..nice..... one of the cutest desert places i have come across.. after a long day walking in The Dubai Mall, we sat down for a quick coffee at Spoon and Glaze ..<br/>Their green decor is very welcoming...and different to the usual cafe's. We ordered for a cafe mocha, caramel frapaccino and the delicious nutshell earth cake.<br/>though all the items are served in a unique way, the earth cake comes in a little pot with a flower on it..and it tastes divine...<br/>although a bit pricey, we loved the experience. at the end of our meal we were given a pot with some flower seeds to take back with us, loved this gesture.

Such an innovative concept for desserts. Came across this kiosk in Dubai Mall and couldn't resist to stop by and give it a try . I tried their famous Earth Cake - Nutella - Aed 44 . It comes in a little flower pot and resembles like mud in a pot but when you have a spoonful of it, its absolutely divine.

I ordered two desserts which are Om Ali & Oriental Blueberry Kenafa at this cafe. I highly recommend Umm Ali to everyone. However, I didnt like the blueberry Kenafa. The dishes and the atmosphere were really cute. However, the staffs were not in a good mood. Definitely, I will visit again to try other desserts.

A tiny place located in the Dubai mall. This little dessert heaven runs on the concept of protecting and respecting nature. <br/>One of the ways of doing so serving the dessert in an earthen pot and relishing food the authentic way. Once you finish your dessert, you take home the pot in which you were served food along with a few seeds and some soil that the restaurant gives you. <br/>This concept has made me rethink all the desserts I've had yet!

We dropped by at spoon and glaze to satisfy our kunefe cravings. The kunefe here is perfect! You will also find a lot of variations of the classic kunefe here. Though we stuck to the simple one. This desert parlour also has a refreshingly new concept based around the earth element. The new concept inspired us to order a mud cake as well, served in an earthen pot. Tasted super smooth and super chocolaty. They also gave us a few plant seeds and soil to plant at home keeping with the overall theme. A thoughtfully designed experience!

I was invited in September and only found the chance to visit recently. My only regret is not visiting sooner and depriving myself of their delectable and thought after desserts. <br/><br/>This little dessert heaven runs on the concept of protecting and respecting your environment, nature specifically. One of the ways of doing so is by replacing your ceramic or steel-laden utensils with earthen pots and relishing food the authentic way. Hence, their deserts come in earthen pots and other materials that are natures saving grace and once you finish your dessert, you take home the pot in which you were served food along with a few seeds and some soil that the restaurant gives you. All so you can plant some Vince Rose at your home and make your surroundings naturally beautiful too. Now isn’t that double treat? You got food and a pot to grow plants, all you have to do is water them.<br/><br/>Coming to the food aspect, we tried a number of deserts which were:-<br/>1. Red Velvet Cake:<br/><br/>2. Sand Cake (Caramel Flavor)<br/><br/>3. Earth Pot (Nutella Cake)<br/><br/>4. Konafa (Caramel)<br/><br/>5. Mug Cake<br/><br/>The red velvet cake was a bit dry in texture but didn’t disturb the class taste one expects from this cake. A spoonful of it and you’ll know what heaven tastes like. It was creamy, spongy, dry and delicious. The Nutella cake came in an earthen pot and was incredibly rich in chocolate and the melted chocolate ganache and Nutella mixture on top tastes delectable. <br/><br/>The Kunafa caramel flavor was beautifully decorated with a caramel layer on top and the rim was circled with fried vermicelli (correct me if I am wrong) and a bite full of this tasted crispy and liquidy both. The Kunafas caramel was not overpowering and for caramel lovers, like myself, it is a hat-trick to have caramel across the layers. <br/><br/>We also indulged in the ice frappuccino and coffee mocha. The iced coffee came with a big dollop of whipped cream on top and in an earthen container that resembled a little vase/flower pot. The coffee was rich in flavor, creamy, frothy and just delicious. The coffee mocha is a dream for those who wish to combine their love for coffee with chocolate. Presented in a heavy cup with a beautiful heart decoration, this incredibly rich in mocha flavor coffee was the perfect way to end our sweet experience.<br/><br/>The servers are super friendly, attentive and prompt. They serve with a smile and that goes a long way. Will definitely be back for more soon.

Ive met the couple in person and they are such a sweetheart. Loved the mud cake it was soo good . The coffee the tiramisu everything was on point . Totally loved it . Spoon & Glaze is the dessert paradise located inside Dubai Mall. This tiny and cute store is really an eye catching one and easy to spot from a distance, as well. The main attraction is the flower decor and it is on the Centre of the atrium. The wooden tables and chairs and other decor, add the extra glimpse to the whole outlet.<br/>Spoon & Glaze has desserts ranging from traditional Arabic ones to the latest trends such as Nutella and Lotus Desserts. The main concept of this place to show us how they are concerned about taking care of our environment. The desserts are served in clay pots. And after we are done, they will give soil and seeds to plant along with the clay pot, which we can take back to our home. I can say that it is rich s great gesture.<br/>We started the day with a perfect cup of Cappuccino. I really loved the cups and utensils which they serve the food. The spoons and forks were also recyclable. <br/>We moved on to the tasting of a couple of desserts such as Oriental Kunafa- Caramel, Earth Cake - Nutella, Rice Pudding with Maltesers, Sand Cake - Mango and Om Ali. The Om Ali was the hot dessert and was served with extra milk incase we need to loosen the consistency.<br/>My favorite is the Om Ali, it was perfectly sweetened with perfect textiles and gives the perfect bite when you chew. I was also impressed by the Rice Pudding with Maltesers as the combination was amazing. Even though, I liked every single dessert, these two are my top favorites.<br/>I got the chance to take the Om Ali back home as I was not able to finish. Along with that, I got soul on a bag and a few seeds to plant on the clay pot once I finish the dessert.<br/>It was such a wonderful experience to spent time at Spoon & Glaze, and also to be a part of protecting our environment by planting more seeds.

The place was so peaceful and relaxing. It is an eco-friendly cafe which serves delicious desserts in earthen pots and encourages customers to reuse the pots to grow home plants.<br/><br/>We tried their Mud cake, Maltesers rice pudding, Om ali, Chocolate kunafa and Nutella basbousa. <br/><br/>The mud cake was so tasty and chocolatey. Topped with a mini flower this one is must have.<br/><br/>We loved the Om ali as well. Perfect consistency and temperature, served in a pot. It’s the best Om ali we have ever had. <br/><br/>The Nutella basbousa is one innovative dessert that they serve. The flavours are well balanced and don't overpower each other.<br/><br/>We also ordered Mango milkshake and Oreo milkshake. They were really fresh and refreshing and complemented the desserts. The milkshakes were also served in earthen glasses which kept them cool throughout.<br/><br/>The staff is very welcoming and they make sure to pass on the message “Together we grow” in a lovely way. They washed our pots and filled it with some real sand and seeds and asked us to take care of these growing plants. Great concept of giving the pot, soil and seed after you are done. However the desert was too expensive for the price. The mud cake with Nutella and basbosa was just average.

They've got such an earthy and incredibly amazing concept behind their Restaurant. We loved everything,from the settings to the vibes to what obviously were some of the best desserts we've tried.<br/><br/>Venue Vibes: Loved the kiosk arrangement where they've got a pretty good setup.<br/><br/>Service: They were all so very welcoming and helpful throughout it all.<br/><br/>Highlights: The Chocolate mudcake, The banana sand cake, the Date sand cake, The Earth cake(Nutella, always), the caramel filled Basbosa, the kunafa which was INCREDIBLE and the beverages which were Oreo shake, avocado shake and a hazelnut iced latte.<br/><br/>Personal favorites: The Mud Cake, The Basbosa, The kunafa and our shakes, no doubt.

The one with the purple flowers is the earth cake and possibly my most favorite one. The right amount of chocolate and cake made it very delicious. The red one is a mud cake which was warm when served and it’s texture was far more gooey which didn’t sit my tastebuds. Overall their concept is great as towards the end you get to take the clay pots home along with a bag of soil and seeds which they provide you with.

This place is located in the dubai mall near to cinema parking P7.<br/>If you have sweet tooth and dessert lover then you must visit this place and experience. Spoon and glaze concept is to promote growing more trees and plants Which is something unique and quite different from other and ofcourse unique way of marketing as well.<br/>We have tried there different cakes like sand cake mud cake and it was very soft and tasty as well. We also had Om ali with some warm milk on the side and Basbosa. This is one of my favourite desert as well. Each and every dish is served in a clay pot so latee can be used to grow plants where they provide us with seeds, mud and clay pot along with instructions.<br/><br/>Highly recommend this place

The go green concept at this place is what attracted me to it. Visited them on a Sunday evening.<br/>The cafe is decorated beautifully, with plants and greenery all around it. It is actually a kiosk located right opposite to Hamley's.<br/><br/>We tried out the Earth Cake with Nutella and Tiramisu here. The Earth cake was yummy and had layers of cream and nutella stacked up and finished off with fine grinded chocolate on the top. We felt like we were having chocolate flavored soil and finished this off in seconds!<br/><br/>The Tiramisu was rich in taste and again had a cinnamon finishing on the top. It was one of the best tiramisus I've had in a while!<br/><br/>Both these desserts were served in a small pot and had a sort of plastic flower attached to them.<br/><br/>I also tried the Hazelnut Frappucino here. There was nothing unique when coming to that, it tasted like a regular frappe and did not deserve the price tag attached to it when compared to it's quantity.<br/><br/>After the meal, they provide you with fresh mud, some seeds and a pot to encourage you to plant flowers at home. It is a really unique concept that very few or none of the restaurants in Dubai offer. Loved this initiative taken by them! <br/><br/>The seating here is ample enough, mostly for people coming in groups of 3-4. <br/><br/>The only downside would be that the price is a bit on the higher side compared to the serving and that the staff was not paying attention to us even when the place had just 1 or 2 customers seated at that moment.<br/><br/>Overall I'd say its a pretty place that you must visit atleast once to try out their variety of desserts!

Going green has even reached the Epicurean circle & Spoon & Glaze is leading the way. I was so astonished at the beautiful arrangements all around the cafe. Their concept was very unusual which made it different from any other dessert café in town.<br/><br/>I was given all information regarding their desserts by the server and was happy to see some lactose free option for myself. <br/><br/>I was served a mix of Western and Arabic varieties, which looked so, pretty and mouth watering.<br/><br/>1. Mahalabia with Maltesers – This is a very popular Arabic dessert made with milk & rice sweetened with either sugar or condensed milk. They had given their twist to it very serving it with some maltesers on top instead of dry fruits. The sweetness of the dish was perfect and the maltesers gave it the right amount of crunchiness. <br/>2. Um Ali – This was the only dessert, which was prepared on order and served in an earthern pot on a stand with a candle under it to keep it warm. It was served at the right temperature, well-balanced consistency and the right amount of sweetness.<br/>3. Basbousa – This is a traditional Arabic sweet cake dessert with semolina as the core ingredient and sugar syrup. It is generally consumed with hot beverage like tea. The texture was soft which was good. <br/>4. Nutella Cake in a Pot – This was the prettiest dessert we were served with a cute purple flower on the top and looked like a real flowerpot. The cake was very spongy and the flavor of nutella was on point.<br/>5. Dark Chocolate Brownie in a Pot – This was a Lactose free option, which was made with pure chocolate and no cream. The brownie was to die for the melted chocolate was just perfect. <br/><br/>DRINKS<br/>1. Iced Caramel Latte – I ordered this because they had an option of Soy Milk, which was just perfect addition to all the desserts.<br/>2. I gifted my friend with an Earth Cake (Nutella flavor) for her birthday and she loved it! I’m glad she did because I really liked the brand concept. The small cake (which looks like earth/soil), which was topped with fake flowers, was placed in a legit clay pot. I was asked by the staff (from their Dubai Mall branch) if I wanted to take home some free soil and flower seeds, so that I can reuse the pot later on. Of course, I said yes! Talk about recycling! Although pricey, the cost and taste are definitely worth it. Great as gifts too!

Located in the world’s largest mall, The Dubai Mall. Spoon & Glaze has aesthetically pleasing interiors and some mouth watering desserts that look like real floral plants. This is because they swear by environment friendly policy which includes wooden cutlery, clay pots for desserts and mud mugs for all kinds of drinks. I'm close to nature and this dessert outlet located in Level 2 of Dubai Mall lives up to every nature lover's expectations.<br/><br/>They have a small, cute, cozy seating space which gives you a 'green' feeling in midst of a huge mall. We started with their very famous Earth Cake and Sand Cake. The earth cake looks like a flower pot with brown earth mud. The designers are absolutely mindblowing! The cake had nutella filling and was yummy to the core. The sand cake looked like a flower pot with sand base. The cake was pistachio cream and it was perfectly sweetened. We then had the Um Ali in traditional Egyptian earthen pot. It was delicious. It was followed by Caramel Kunafa, the best ever I had, and the Basbousa, which is sweet cake made from semolina. We paired our desserts with Green Mint Tea which was also served in tribal cups. Ms. Sara and Eric were just amazing hosts and that shows commitment to service.<br/><br/>What left me in awe was that I could take a souvenir, the pot in which I ate, to plant real flower seeds at my home! I would say again, HATS OFF!

A tiny cafe in Dubai mall, but holds a huge variety of desserts. Starting from their mud cakes, earth cakes and sand cakes to their shakes everything seems tastyyyu. My most fave ones were the Nutella mud cake, the lotus cake, the sand cake and the busbUsa ( musstttt to try) and the Oreo milk shake. These were justttt yummmmm. It's simply unique and something different.<br/><br/>Red Velvet Cake<br/>Nice, soft and delicious exactly like how a classic Red Velvet should taste.<br/><br/>After I was done, they gave me a pot, plant & seeds to grow my own flowers. This is so cool and a great initiative.<br/>Overall It's an amazing dessert place & a must try!<br/>

The arabic coffee (served with dates) was delicious and the serving size was good too. The seating area is a bit cramped but overall our experience was positive and we were glad that we opted to try the arabic coffee.

One of those guilty pleasures that you can have any time or any day of the week . Buns and Cones is a - a hidden gem in Dubai mall.. . Absolutely loved the concept.

A lovely concept, very cute plant pots, with cake and plastic flower on top. The tiramisu was good, the other cakes didnt have any flavour, the earth cake just tasted of oreo and cream amd the sand one was vanilla and cream, regardless of the flavour. Coffees were ok and the vanilla ice cream was nice. As we ordered so for 6. they gave a complimemtary mud cake. At the end we got some cute flower pots, to encourage plantation.<br/><br/>The overall thing was worth it because we jad entertainer, however the server was extremely moody and abrupt, i wouldnt recommend it.

I was craving something sweet and decided to look on Zomato for some dessert options. The pictures of this place caught my eye where the cakes are served in clay pots looking like actual plants.<br/>Its a  tiny little outlet located in the vibrant Dubai mall. Spoon and glaze is most popular for their Nutella  earth cake and Sand Caramel Cake . (Yes, you read that right. Waw what an amazing idea and concept. The taste was good and was normal on the price. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who has a sweet tooth and would like to try new desserts.

What a great concept to encourage people to pot a plant after enjoying some scrumptious desserts. They even give you the mud and the seeds. <br/><br/>I was here one afternoon and tried a few of the desserts. Served in clay pots, it feels like a different connection with mother Earth. Being eco-friendly and going back to basics, this concept really rocks.<br/><br/>I had a Mud Cake that was baked freshly and was a warm chocolaty cake. This was gooey and excellent. This one is a must try !<br/><br/>I also tried the Earth Cake and a Tiramisu from the cold desserts. The Earth Cake has layers of cake and chocolate and I was unearthing it by scooping it from right inside. The Tiramisu was again very different from the usual with a perfect flavour of coffee and cheese. <br/><br/>With the guilt of eating so much dessert being lessened with the fact that I was eating from a eco-friendly pot, I decided to have an Oreo Milk Shake with cream. This one wasn't very rich yet perfectly creamy and I enjoyed it.

I was always curious about Spoon & Glaze products but could recently visit it and I was lucky enough to hear the story and concept of the brand from the management. Spoon & Glaze uses clay as the healthiest form of serving their delicious desserts and drinks. The outlet has a great ambiance which makes you feel refreshed. I tried their earth cake, Nutella mud cake, sand cake and basbosa which were great. My favorite was defined mud cake which you could see the chocolate coming out like a lava. Last but not the least is the friendly service I experienced. I will definitely pass by Spoon & Glaze again soon.

This place had wonderful desserts and the presentation for every dish was marvellous.<br/>The items I relished at the restaurant were:<br/>1.) Hot chocolate: The Hot chocolate was smooth on the throat and it was splendid.<br/>2.) Avocado smoothie: The drink was pretty refreshing and smooth.<br/>3.) Mango milkshake: The flavour of the mango was mild yet delicious.<br/>4.) Earth cake blueberry: The blueberry cake had a very fresh blueberry flavour which was enjoyable.<br/>5.) Sand cake pistachio: The pasta flavour was genuine with a lot of nuts in it.<br/>6.) Kunafa cheese: The concentration of cheese was not so much but the nuts and the crispy texture made the taste amazing.<br/>7.) Kunafa caramel: The kunafa had a crispy texture on the outside and the inside was filled with caramel and cream.<br/>8.) Tiramisu: The coffee flavour was strong and it was squishy to eat.

A very unique concept for a dessert place! Located at Dubai Mall, this place shares an eco friendly ambience and doesn’t actually seem like a dessert place at one sight. They present their dishes especially their signature cakes in a mud pot with a cute plant which is actually not real! This is a cute little place inside Dubai mall, very easy to locate. It has a very earthy and rural feel to it. The moment you enter in, you feel as if you're in a pleasant garden somewhere. Majority of desserts are in earthen pots, and adorned with flowers. They have beautiful displays of bicycles with flower baskets, to add to the pleasant outdoorsy ambience.<br/>We were greeted warmly by one of the staff members, who showed us around the place, their desserts. She mentioned their speciality was sand cake and strongly recommended us to try it. <br/>We went in for the sand cake, mud cake, nutella earth cake, basbousa, creme and pistachios kunafa, caramel frappe and avocado shake. All of it was absolutely delicious. If I had to pick a favourite it would be nutella earth cake for sure! Usually such places only focus on one kind of sweets - and stick to their USP. But the Arabic sweets here were just as good.<br/>Just as we were about to leave, the staff helped us with take-away pots. They also arranged for some mud, which they have beautifully arranged in the background, and seeds so that we can plant them in the pot. It is absolutely a lovely idea. The usage of plastic was at its minimum. Really loved the entire concept!

Reallyy loved the concept here! Felt like I was visiting a garden more than a dessert parlour.<br/>They've beautifully decorated the place with flowers and plants, you'll think you're sitting in a garden. They've also got desserts that go with the theme.<br/><br/>We tried the sand cake(caramel), mud cake, Nutella mud cake, pistachio sand cake, mango Kunafa, cream kunafa, umm ali! A very pretty kiosk that serves cute flower pots which just happen to be edible! <br/><br/>The desserts in earthen pots resemble completely like actual flower pots and for a minute i was confused whether to indulge or just admire the beauty. <br/><br/>I tried out their Mud Cake and the Nutella flavoured Earth Cake. <br/>The Mud Cake was made out of Dark Chocolate but was too sweet for my liking.<br/>The Earth cake was delicious. <br/>I feel both the desserts could be enhanced more by adding more layers of cake or cream, as I felt i was just eating melted chocolate. <br/><br/>They also give you sand and seeds to plant in the pot after you indulge in the sweet treat. Dessert in a pot! As you pass by this beautiful and cute dessert parlor, you may mistaken it for a plant shop but it is actually a dessert shop with some delicious desserts and drinks. <br/><br/>My dad and I visited this one after a long day of work. Although limited seating for now, it is soon planning to expand its seating. The service and staff are really friendly and explained each dessert in detail. <br/><br/>I tried Tiramisu, Kunafa (Cream), Mud Cake, & Sand Cake. I would give a 4.5 for the desserts and a 5 for their presentation and creativity. The Tiramisu (my all time fav) was perfectly chilled and had just the right amount of coffee powder sprinkled and soggy cake within. The Kunafa has various types such as Bluberry Kunafa, Caramel Kunafa, and Cream Kunafa. I chose the last one as I prefer my Kunafa being authentic and original. It was really warm and better than many of the kunafa's I have eaten. <br/><br/>Earth Cake looked legit like a flower pot. Sand Cake too! Both were delicious. Nothing to critic negatively!<br/><br/>For drinks, we had a Caramel Frappuccino and Hazelnut Cappuccino. The concept at spoon & glaze was nice, to add the earthy elements to their dishes. We ordered sand cake, rice pudding and mango milk shake. The cake was topped with I think plastics flowers which was bit of a downer as I felt it steered away from their concept. The overall taste was ok. Prices felt a bit on the expensive side. Overall a good experience.

You might mistake the shop for a flower shop. Earth seem to be the theme. The cakes and pudding and drinks are served in clay pots and cups. We tried sand cake and rice pudding. Both were topped with plastic flowers..really!! I would have imagined the place stood for all elements earth and plastic was the last thing I wanted in my food. It was an easily avoidable topping.<br/><br/>The cakes and sweets tasted okay but was priced too high. Service was good and you could also get a free clay cup, seeds and soil too once ur done.

Remember the shop in Dubai Mall, which seems like a flower store / garden shop - but then you get the smell of cakes and  see people eating from the flower pots and toys ? We finally got a chance to stop by and taste some of the interesting cakes on the offer, and must say, we were quite impressed with the whole concept !<br/><br/>Earth cake - this was quite interesting to dig into. The filling in the pot was a mix of cake and cream. We felt the taste was too subtle, but it is a good selection if you you're someone with less tolerance to sweet desserts.<br/><br/>Mud cake - we loved this. The cake was moist and creamy, and the combination was  really delightful. Recommended if you're going to select only one among the wide range of desserts available on the menu.<br/><br/>We loved the concept environment friendly approach towards packaging, and after you finish your pot, you get a few seeds to grow your own plants .<br/><br/>The place tends to get a bit crowded, and some might find the prices a bit excessive. This is located on the second floor opposite to hamleys toy shop.<br/><br/>

Such a cute dessert place with a creative concept. They have a very few tables and are always busy but it’s so worth it. We tried their Nutella earth cake and Sand banana cake, both delicious. If you want a different take on dessert, give them a go. The staff are lovely and very helpful. They even gave us an extra dessert on the house. Thank you S&G, we’ll definitely be back.

From tables to displays to wallpapers. Kudos!<br/><br/>Food: Caramel Basbousa was the favorite among the desserts tasted. Had tasted earth cake, sand cake and om ali, all flavors were so good! <br/><br/>Price: i find it a bit pricey for a dessert in a pot but if you come to think of it, its actually worth the price. You are not just having a good dessert but buying a single pot will contribute in saving the earth. Means saving lives. Loved the concept of the restaurant being pro nature as i am one myself.<br/><br/>Overall:<br/>5/5 for being pro earth dessert shop.

Their Om Ali, is really good, it is actually the best Egyptian Om Ali in town. We tried their Chocolate mud and it was ok, as it was too sweet. The staff offered us a complementary Caramel Konafa and it was also good.

I love love their unique and environmental friendly concept. The taste is amazing! I'm a dessert fan and I super love their desserts, my personal fave is the Earth cake (nutella), the sweetness is balanced so u won't get tired eating or finishing the desserts. What I love most is that in very purchase of their dessert, they will give u a pot, soil and seed for u to plant.

We came across this place at The Dubai Mall. It always amazed me to see small flower pots when I passed by. I used to wonder how could that flower pot be edible until I finally tried it. Finding a place to sit is difficult as people do take their time to enjoy the desserts and beverages there and there are less number of tables.<br/><br/>Nevertheless, we ordered earth icecream for kids, and sand cake with dates and mud cake for us. We also got a complimentary dessert Ummali by the owner of the place.<br/><br/>Presentation wise, I would give all the items full marks. My kids were amazed at how the soil and sand could be edible and tasty at the same time. I liked the earth Ice cream and sand cake. The mud cake was all about chocolate and I found it too sweet to my liking. Again, the ummali was so so good. Not too sweet. It wasn't made in bulk and the milk and pudding were served separately. So as not to get the bread too soggy.<br/><br/>The only thing that i found disappointing were the prices. The prices were on a higher side compared to the quantities. Trying unique things does burn a hole in the pocket.<br/><br/>I would give this place a lot 5☆ rating if the prices were a bit lower.<br/><br/>

When you want to try something different for your sweet tooth craving ,this little stall will provide you with this. They serve their dessert in the claypot to give their dessert a earthen taste plus their motive of to be environment friendly. Totally delicious and will surely want to come again to have this dessert . The last thing to mention is after your dessert they give you seeds ,sand and claypot as a small token for you to take home and grow your plant . Beautiful concept with lovely surrounding.

Came across spoon & glaze in dubai mall. Very unique way of presenting desserts. We ordered for the earthcake nutella. Tasted good! For the quantity served, the prices are really expensive. I am giving an extra rating just for the presentation of the dessert and the set up of the place.

I liked the idea its new for me, the taste is so nice, staff was so polite and kind, you feel comfortable & as if you are really in a picnic place not a mall

Totally love the unique concept of serving the desserts in a flower pot and the entire place was resonating nature from it's seating to it's dessert and the best part is that we get to take home the real soil and seed to plant it ourself. Delicious sweets made with Tape à l' oeil technique<br/><br/>Very creative ideas suitable for sweet lovers.<br/><br/>We have tried freshly made Om Ali, as you can see in the pictures it is made in pottery with a flame underneath, it was fresh, deleciuos and not heavy.<br/><br/>We have tried kunafa with nutella, it wasn't too sweet as expected but it is really exceptional dish.<br/><br/><br/>Last but not least we tried Basbousa which melts in the mouth..<br/><br/>I loved the decore! Very wooden greeny one looks authentic.<br/><br/>What is really new and very much authentic is the "souvenir" which encapsulte the spirit of the brand - mud and flower seeds - i know everyone loves flowers, we like it more when it is a gift, but it is really difrent when you take it as a gift in form of seeds that will grow with time and last just like the sweet's after tast that i have experienced here!<br/>Guys! I loved the novel concept of serving dessert as a flower pot and moreso the fact that you can take a  plant home as a souvenir was very enticing.<br/><br/>We ordered for the Tiramisu and Mud cake.<br/><br/>The Tiramisu was served instantly, and the mud cake took a few minutes as it was served warm (so worth it). Both were served in earthenware with plastic flora ( I would have been stumped if they were edible). <br/><br/>The tiramisu was delectable and the warm mud cake hugged me from within.<br/>it is a perfect place to relax over some toothsome desserts post shopping.<br/><br/>Taste and service are both good.<br/><br/>Extra brownie points for promoting being green. (Proud Plant Mom now).

Love the concept and the taste is on point too! The tiramisu is full of flavor and the Mud Pot is my favorite! Can’t wait to try the Nutella Pot here! Priced at AED 44, the small pot is good for sharing! The big pot is priced at AED 200 and is good enough for 10-12 people!

So I found the cutest concept desert place today. Located at level 2 @thedubaimall, @spoonandglaze is a little place boasting earthen deserts served in little clay pots. The pots are then given as souvenirs with a packet of seeds to plant. I found the concept so delightful and my kids were super excited to dig into these little fancy deserts. Average cost aed 50 per person with a desert and drinks. Spoon and Glaze located at Dubai Mall is a dessert cafe. The first time you see the display you would wonder if its a nursery as the desserts here are presented in clay pots and decorated with flowers on top. The dessert cafe’s intention is to eat the natural way in earthen pots and to preserve our mother nature. After you finish off the dessert they give you some soil and seeds so you can go back and plant them in your house which I feel is an excellent concept.

They are an all dessert cafe that looks more like a flower shop 💐. The intention is to drive home the fact that we need to plant more trees to preserve Mother Earth 🌏. Moreover, once you are done devouring whatever potted sweet you order, you will find a packet of seeds (and mud) waiting to be planted. So in a way, you end up contributing towards the future of the planet.<br/>.<br/>So foodies go and show the Spoon & Glaze some love for their effort!<br/>.<br/>By the way, this clay pot in the pic contains the Earth Nutella Cake 🍰 aaaaand it’s a little over priced at AED 42 for such a small sized serving! Nature comes at a price. Period.
