Went here for lunch and was so satisfied with our meal! The team at the Dar Al Wasl branch was amazing, they were super kind and attentive. The service was very quick as well. The food was delicious and every dish we ordered was so tasty and flavourful!!
We ordered the Aubergine, Fried Okra and Samarkand as well as naan for our starters. Everything was so tasty we were all very happy with the food as they were new flavours and combinations for us.
For our main course we got a Mixed Platter, Lamb and Spinach Stew, Chapli Kebab and some Paratha. Again, the food was so flavourful! The meats were so succulent and juicy🤤 The mutton and spinach stew is definitely a must try with a bit of naan! The Chapli Kebabs were HUGE! So be aware of that when you're ordering it, we were pleasantly surprised 😁
I would definitely recommend visiting Kishmish cause the food is definitely worth it!
The food, service and ambience was just perfect for either a lunch or dinner !
second time for me on the best afghan food on town
Very good food the rice was amazing and the naan bread the staff very friendly and the place is quite and very clean
Great place and really amazing food its like home made the staff very friendly and the place very tradional
The food was amazing and the staff was very friendly we will back again and again for sure
Amazing food . Ridiculous one star reviews I have no idea why people write ridiculous things like the portions are small. They are just right and the staff are amazing. People will complain about the smallest things but this place is incredible. Absolutely loved it thank you. Definitely will be back
The grilled chicken was well marinated, the rice was perfectly seasoned and cooked, high quality ingredients. The staff are very friendly and nice. Well done
Excellent chicken stew, kabuli pulao (we got mutton) and Samarkand salad ! Get the extra chili sauce (from the sides menu) for an extra dash.
Visited for a lunch. Very impressive menu, authentic afghani which was missing in UAE. Tried few dishes and all tasted good. Not very happy with the ambience as its not very private and the next shares open view with the next door restaurant and open view from the other two doors. I would say price is bit high compare to the ambience. Will for sure visit again to try more dishes. Goodluck to Team KishMish!
First time trying Afghan food. Afghan food is a mixture of different food cultures whether Arabic - Persian - Indian.....etc. The food is very tasty on the homey side of flavours however dishes presentation is elementary. We enjoyed all dishes except the Dopiyaza which does not fit our taste profile. For starters, we had Fried Okra and Aubergine topped with Yogurt. Mains were Kabul Palou with Lamb Shank - Dopiyaza - Korma Chalou chicken with Cumin Rice. Desserts were Afghan Ice Cream and Afghan Rice Pudding. All in all, a very enjoyable experience.
I absolutely love KISHMISH. It's the best spot to have Afghani food! Mantu and chia water with rose are my my all time favorite. The only thing I feel is that the food portion is little small for the price you pay.
The restaurant pleasantly surprised us. Lovely, flavourful meal. Friendly staff. Nice ambience. Everything we ordered was delicious from the Aubergine sides to the Mix grill, Kabouli Pulao and Chapli Kebab. I was new to Afghani cuisine and would recommend anyone to visit Kishmish. You won’t be disappointed. It’s definitely a type of cuisine that is best shared with a group of people so that you can try a number of different dishes.
Amazing food and service and atmosphere its really unforgettable experience we to try korm chlou chicken with apricot and meatball also amazing and naan bread thanks kishmish for amazing experience and sure will return
Real afghan food with fresh taste of the food very quite place and nice atmosphere I like it we tried dopiyaza its meat with amazing souce and Naan bread and samarkand salad

This is the first time I tried Afghani food. Heard a lot about afghani pulao and how tasty afghani food is. Khishmish was the place to try based on recommendations from friends. The place did not disappoint us at all. We were a group of couples with kids. The food quality was amazing and We enjoyed every bit of our experience. We ordered lamb and lenthil soup first, followed by salad and some starters. In our main course we ordered the kabuki pulao, emerald pulao, Chapli kebab, mixed grill, and kichdi. Everything was great. In terms of drinks we loved the chia seeds lemon drink which was refreshing. I would rate this restaurant good 5 based on our experience

Kishmish is a restaurant that i call home.. everything about this place makes me feel comfortable! The food is fantastic, the staff are lovely.. its just great!!
One of the best afghan food in dubai the atmosphere is very simple u feel like home and food it's very delicious and fresh. The staff is very friendly
Kishmish caught my eye when it was awarded the top award by BBC Good Food ME for homegrown food, and I really got interested when I found out it was Afghan food!. How often do we hear of Afghan food as a world-wide cuisine?. And my mind was blown!. Just look at that hearty, soul-satisfying soup!. The bread is baked on the premises, with flour coming from Afghanistan, and it lies in wait in the dish, so that when the delicious soup stock is poured over it, the bread absorbs all that goodness – an incredibly tasty and filling lamb soup, with generous and superbly prepared root vegetables.
A great place for afghani food. I dont eat afghani cuisine a lot so this was an unusual visit for me. But i loved it, everything great. Their rice is delicious and kebab was delicious. I was very satisfied with the food quality. If you’re looking to try an afghani restaurant this would be my first recommendation.
This is a must visit for great Afghani food.
Ambience is 5/5
Food 5/5
Had the barta, okra, pulao, mix platter, and the lab and lentil stew. Everything was super delicious.
The staff is friendly and helpful
Will certainly be going back again.
I was so pleased to dine at this hidden Afghani jewel, it was a bit of a find as you can’t see it whilst driving past on Wasl Rd. You have to actually enter the Dar al Wasl mall (next to Box Park).
It’s quite popular amongst locals and I can understand why. Their food is delicious and they serve authentic Afghani food. It’s great to find a decent Afghani restaurant in Dxb as there aren’t many other than the common ones in Al Quoz.
We tried their mixed grilled platter. What a splash of seekh kebabs, boneless meat chunks and chicken. In fact the chicken was so tender, I was intrigued and asked the waitress what ingredient do they use to tenderise the chicken. She was careful not to disclose their secret ingredients but informed us it was all in their secret yoghurt marinade. The food was scrumptious, we wiped our plates clean with the freshly baked naan and delicious saucy accompaniments.
A great discovery a place to revisit. Next time I so want to try their chapli kebabs after all Afghan’s are known for this speciality and their Pallaou rice.
The Kishmish restaurant is the first gourmet destination in Dubai to cater to Afghan cuisine and traditional street meals. The Dar Al Wasl Mall offers a unique experience in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere that is relaxing with family and friends.
.
The story of the establishment of the restaurant was when Iman, Fatima and Humira brought together an old familial friendship for generations, and despite the life they had lived outside Afghanistan, each of them bore a deep and profound appreciation of the rich history and culture of their homeland and, of course, their motherland as well.
.
Where they learned to learn Afghan culture through traditional meals, to find a unique link between the kitchen and the arts of cooking and the celebration of authentic culture.
.
The Kishmish restaurant, which embodied their dream on the ground, captures the sights, sounds and flavors of the vibrant streets of the vibrant capital city of Kabul, bringing visitors to the world through this rich, tasteful experience.
.
Keshmish is keen to provide authentic experiences and reliving the identity of Afghan culture. The dishes are full of unique flavors and fragrances inspired by the kitchens of South, East and Central Asia, which are brought with professionalism and harmony that reflects the Afghan geographic environment, big
I fell in love with Afghani food the first time I tried in back in 2010 while living in NYC. 🗽
So when we moved to Dubai, I hoped that we could get the same great texture and taste of the Afghani cuisine we came to know and love. 🍽
We recently found out about @kishmishdubai and decided to try it.
I now have a "go to" place for Afghani food!
The Lamb Palou was just wonderful, the shank was so tender and juicy and the rice cooked to perfection. 🍖🍖 I also really enjoyed the Ashak 🥣 it's a leek filled ravioli topped with minced beef.. SO GOOD
I wasn’t sure what to expect with Afghan food, but Kishmish was excellent! I was pleasantly surprised with how much my family and I enjoyed the food. Portions are perfect. Best were Barta and pulao with chicken - the pulao rice is one of the most flavorful I’ve tasted in a long time! Great kebabs as well. Also absolutely loved the Afghani ice cream.
Location is pretty great in Dar AlWasl.
Loved the restaurant design and concept; will definitely visit again1
Ambience; Great and different
Food to try; mixed grill and Ash !
Service; Amazing service
Price: fairly good
I came here for a friends birthday dinner and what a lovely place. The food was great and the service was also very good considering we were a big table.
We ordered a variety of dishes to share and the outstanding items for me were the chapli kebab and lamb pulao - we had to order extras of these and I can’t wait to come back to have again!
The restaurant put on special music and even found a candle for when they bought out the cake we had bought.
There is free underground parking but it’s limited and the spaces are too tight. There is valet parking as well as on street parking.
Top Drawer Place. I feel no words will be enough to justify how good this place is. I would just suggest you to go out there visit this place. And let the staff suggest what they would like you to try.
My friends had been raving about this place for months, so it's only natural I was just as excited. Everything we tried was really good, it was cooked to perfection which is normally not the case for a lot of places. The meat was flavorful and not overly spiced.
Was absolutely dying to try this place since its a cuisine I have never tried and they have plenty of veg options, which was very exciting for me.
We had the emerald palou, with the fried okra, potato stew and the yoghurt marinated chicken skewers for my friends.
The rice was simple but good, it goes really well with the fried okra. The potato stew paired well with the naan, which was offered free, generously by the floor manager.
We also tried the tea, which was the best part of the meal. Only thing I find weird is Dhs 7 charge for extra mint chutney? Why though?
Service was good and interiors are tastefully done.
Kudos!
Kishmish is just outstanding. The food and the ambience are both wonderful. But it’s the food which stands out. Every single dish is special and flavorful. We ordered the aubergine starter and it was quite special with a touch of yogurt. The Bolani flat bread was lovely particularly the one with the leek filling. But the real winners were the chicken skewers and the Kitchree Kourout. The chicken was soft and succulent and the marinade unique and flavorful. The kitchree rice was suffused with flavor while the meat in it added to the excitement.
Overall a hugely exciting addition to Dubai’s vibrant food scene . The only problem was that one are way too much!
Never had Afghani food before and so my review is pretty amateur (but then again aren’t all reviews amateur?) The food was really lovely (similar to Iranian in a way) - the prices were decent - and the Dar Wasl location is nicely lit and there’s tons of parking.
My friend and I were starving thats when she suggested to come to this place..although it was packed but we managed to find a table ..friendly staff , fast service , beautiful ambience
Coming to the food :
Mixed grill Platter ( kabab , kofta and marinated chicken )
Bolani ( flat bread with leek and potato)
It tasted really good ..one of the best mixed grill I have tasted ..
Prices are reasonable ..
Will go back to try different dishes
Looks like I am on the verge of an addiction here- this place is so damn good never thought I’d eat afghan food one day to start with . From the party of flavours in your mouth to the simple made beautiful, to everything else . Been three times already in less than 10 days .
Now what to order everything on their menu might sound like you had it before BUT it’s 10 times tastier lighter and unique in its own way.
My fav is chicken skewers with yogurt
Any rice tried three already and it’s so tasty all of them
Their pots are amazing either okra or potato
Combined with fresh made nan and appsitesiers is just perfect . Tasty and light combined
Service 5/5
Price 5/5
Taste 5/5
Those of you who read my reviews knows I am pretty critical however if I could eat there everyday I would :)
Utterly recommended .
Service was extremely helpful
Flavors are wow
Portions s are just too darn much :)
Prices are very decent
Such a great atmosphere and good vibes
Amazing food and great atmosphere in an unlikely place. Never had Afghani food before. Staff is super friendly and welcoming. Will be coming here a lot.
Very good food and service place managed by 3 afgan girls
Little expensive with limited menu choice but grill is awesome
With afgani rice
Avoid to be there on weekend
First time to try Kishmish heard so much about it from friends, their food is out of this world! I never tried Afghan food before and i fell in love with everything in this place!!
The service is amazing, everyone is very helpful and smiley. I tried a couple of appetizers and their yoghurt marinated grilled chicken! Also there simple green salad is just beautifully done.
Thank you Kishmish for an amazing experience I am obsessed!
The most delicious food ever
Quality food excellent service
The food is really tasty
Very clean
The price is reasonable
Clean restaurant
Need to make the space bigger
The name attracted me.
Very nice food and friendly staff.
Went there for two days in a row because i wanted to try more dishes as they were very heavy and oily, one visit wasn’t enough 😂
The only downside about it is the price, a bit overpriced for the serving size.
I was really looking forward to visiting kishmish! I had seen posts about it when I was back home, so my visit Dubai couldn’t go without stopping by. And it didn’t disappoint! Great service, great food, interesting location, the restaurant has been designed really well. A cultural feel with a modern twist. My ONLY feedback would be the Boloni. Afghans would claim that it’s not the ‘original size’ but it’s not the size that I disliked, it was also the look and taste. I couldn’t try everything on the menu, but can I just say...that Dogh!! Omg! Yum
Delicious Afghan restaurant settled in the quaint new Dar Wasl mall. Adorable and cozy ambiance with authentic Afghan recipes straight from the owners mothers kitchen. Visited a couple times and always busy vibe of happy guests. Grilled chicken is tender and seasoned wonderfully.
One the spots that was in must to visit list and we did it. Their food not only looking perfect but even tastes as delicious meal. It’s kind of a small place and hidden place in Dar wasl Mall but I really Loved it.
So we ordered :
Straight from the Charcharol mix- Meat was very soft and fresh. It’s mix of chicken, kofta and lamb skewer and comes with 3 types of sauces and marinated red onion.
Bolani- it’s kind of bakery with leak and potato inside, and they serve it with 3 different souces. Very delicious.
Afghan rice- the best pilav i ve tried.
Really recommend this place for the meat lovers 👌🏾
Amazing atmosphere to dine in. Delicious food cooked by a professional staff. They always offer fresh meat. I recommend it to anyone loves the Afghan food.
Thank you KishMish for the amazing food, experience & service! much love and respect for the three Afghani ladies for the real hard work. I recommend it!
Omg where do I start! Their grills are INSANE! The marination is out of this world and their Mantu is to die for! Highly recommend it. Great service and an amazing atmosphere 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
I’ve been back to this restaurant twice as I actually crave the food! The kebab is fluffy & delicious & such a big portion! I loveeee their onion pickles yummm! Their Mantu is delicious too! You can tell it’s made with love!
Traditional ambience, delicious food and amazing hosts made our special day even more memorable. They paid attention to every detail and the food was too good. Bravo, we will be visiting again and again
Finally! I have been searching for authentic Afghan food and haven’t found that in the UAE until I tried Kishmish. Tastes like home, love the energy and mostly the fact that the owners are always there - Serving, greeting and making sure they attend to all their customers. I highly recommend this spot! ps. Try their weekly special - Afghan Saj kebab!
I regret not having taken any pictures! I went there for iftar and I loved it. The place is very cozy and has a very welcoming atmosphere. The food is so good even though I didn’t try the speciality on their menu which is the afghani rice. I ordered mantu, ashak and aubergine which were so good. I would definitely go back and try their desserts which look breathtaking. I highly recommend to visit!
The BEST Afghan food restaurant in the UAE!! Their consistency and incredibly genuine tastes add richness to the whole experience. The owners are present with a huge smile and a warm welcome not only to their restaurant but also to a beautiful and rich Afghani culture.
Lovely service, love the ambience and taste of food. We had their grills and famous Afghan rice. We had masala fries on side. Both main dishes very tasty and extremely juicy and worth trying. The only blemish is that their menu variety is extremely limited and quantities are small.
Today's dinner was at @kishmishdubai it's an afghan restaurant located in dar al wasl.
Let me begin with the interior guys it's soo beautiful, it's simple but it has something which will make you fall in love with it.
I tried the followings
1. Kabuli palou with lamb priced at 65 dhs and I loved it. Would definitely recommend it.
2. Kofta skewers they were so perfectly done, #musttry , priced at 65 dhs.
3. Chick pea and potatoe salad which was a miss, well I personally didn't liked it.
Overall I loved the place and will definitely go again.
#recommended#afghan#mydubai
Different than usual Afghani restaurants which make the place full of excitation trying new food, we tried most of the menu if not all, so yummy and good. Not many options but for sure enough. Lovely place and staff. Highly recommended
It’s almost time for #Iftar 🕖😇🙌🏼 and incase ur still wondering where to go then take my advise and head to @kishmishdubai in Jumeirah. I went there with my friends and we enjoyed a sumptuous meal with #afghanidelicacies and #delicious Afghani food! What’s great is that all their food is #fresh #healthy and finger-licking good 😍🤤 Our iftar started with:
- Aash (AED 40) delicious Iranian lentil soup with beans and noodles 🍜 - Aubergine (35) #yummy mashed aubergine🍆🍅 with yogurt and sautéed tomatoes - Masala Fries (AED20)🍟😍😍coz a lil but of cheating is allowed (and it’s totally worth it)😛
- Cucumber yogurt (AED 25)🥒
- Barta (AED 35) mashed aubergine in yogurt with garlic, cilantro, spring onion and kourout. This was one of my Fav Aubergine dishes at #kishmish - “Straight from the charcoal” (AED 95) 👌🏻😍 mixed platter with chicken and lamb kebabs and skewers. It was oh-SOOOO-good 🤤😱
-Afghan rice (AED 70) almost like chicken biryani but the #afghan version
- Afghan ice cream (AED 35)
- Afghan green tea (AED 25)
The food is great, service is brilliant and prices are perfect as well!!

One of my ultimate favorite places for Iftar this year!
Get yourself treated with an excellent complimentary dish of Aash soup, some dates, and a chilled glass of Vimto to help break your fast while you wait for the dishes you ordered.
The hospitality in Kishmish is absolutely on point. We had arrived before they officially opened for the day, and found them conducting a team brief (loved the vibe). We got to pick our table and were so energetically introduced to the best dishes on the menu and placed our order with the help of our waitress.
We ordered the Kabuli Pulao (lamb) and mixed grill platter. Both dishes were served hot and presented beautifully on the table: the pulao was rich in flavor with the rice cooked to perfection and the mixed grill had juicy and flavorsome meats (nothing was dry at all). To top it all off, the side chutneys compliment each bite too well.
The cuisine and restaurant were a pleasant surprise for us, and we definitely plan on visiting again! You must too - even if you aren’t sure what Afghani cuisine is like or what to order, Kishmish takes care of it all.
For an Afghan going to an Afghan restaurant, I was very skeptical but the food completely blew me away. I felt like I was eating at home. You can taste the good meat and the fresh ingredients used in every dish.. proud of the owners .. We needed a restaurant like this in Dubai.
Tried it once me and my friends fell on love with the place and the service and the staff. Keep up the good work and will definitely recommend it to friends
These guys are especially hospitable for Ramadan, offering dates, Vimto and Aash soup which was delicious! The mixed grill was fantastic as the meats were well seasoned and tender! 👍🏼
The place is very nice, cozy. The food is very delicious and tasty.,. I didn’t expect that i’ll love their food. They also have a very friendly staff. Highly recommended,. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I like the restaurant although it’s small one I love the food and the rice which was oily. How ever the design was amazing. I’m looking forward to visit the restaurant again I hope they can open more branches in the future.
The mixed grill here was very good and juicy. I also loved the starter bread that they brought for us at the beginning of the meal. I will probably come back here to try some other dishes.
I went to this place after hearing about it for somee time
And i am really thankful for the owners who took time to choose carefully such a professional staff.
I went to the restaurant and i was having a bad day and i hated my table and honestly i gave some attitude to the waiter but instead of tell me like that we have he took all my anger away and really dealed with the situation in a nice way and i really enjoyed everything with my friend
Then the food is whole another story
It is yummmmmmmy and the quantity is very very good totally worth the money ... i am definitely will go back again and i am really recommending it
Friendly staff, amaazing food, definitely worth more than one visit. Wish their space was bigger to accommodate more people as we had to wait to be seated. Worth the wait though
A place that finally offers the authentic Afghan experience that I’m use to at home. Amazing food and friendly staff were just the start of a great experience. Started with appetizers such as bolani filled with potato with a great selection of chutney. It was followed by Kabuli Pulao( rice with raisins , carrot and lamb), bamiya stew (okra), aubergine and my favorite dish mantou ( dumpling filled with lamb meat with a yoghurt topping ). All the dishes were flavorful and fantastic. Has a good dessert selection ( sheer birinj- milk rice ) I ordered the signature pink tea as well. Amazing restaurant.
Great Afghan dining . Very knowledgeable staff who recommended Perfect dishes .
Loved the eggplant starters with naan .
Perfectly grilled Mix grill platter with spicy fries.
First ever Afghan experience and...WOW! A definite must try, one of the best, if not the best restaurant experience in Dubai. Great value for money and atmosphere. Love that the owners are always there.
Delicious food, literally where I go to indulge. Everything on the menu reminds me of home. ... from the mantu and the kabuli Palaou to ashaak, I highly recommend this place.
literally the best afghan food I've had!! you must try the ashaak, mixed grill platter, eggplant and of course the MANTU! planning to go again with the whole family...great new restaurant.
