I like the ambience. Perfect to u.wind during weekend. The staffs are friendly. We ordered Terrace Club Sandwich, salad and house white wine. Food is great and the portion is big. Service could be improved.

Location of the lounge is very convenient. Very laid back atmosphere at the pool. Good for gathering with friends after work. Staff is quick and nice.

It was a street food event over weekend with different cuisines. There were indian, arabic, euopeon, british , mexican and Indian stalls. They had also nice kids playing area and awesome environment with great food and drinks. Enjoyed our time there.
Its always one of my favorite places to pass by when i want to have fun and get out from the stress of the day , highly recommended when weather are good

Media Rotana in Barsha Heights, Dubai hosted Street Food Market for the first time on March 16-17 at their terrace. There was a variety of street food for kids, adults, and families to relish. From burgers to noodles, barbecue, Arabic, Mexican, Thai, Chinese, dessert counter, health foods and so much more. There was a gorgeous female DJ playing some rocking music. For families, there was coloring contest as well as other games to keep them engaged and entertained. Shisha lovers can grab a couch and enjoy the lovely weather along with shisha.
The Terrace Bar will serve your favorite drinks at the lounge, we ordered Virgin Pina Colada and loved it. Kids enjoyed indulging in their favorite treats and juices and won some games. They described the burger was very fresh and delicious. The winter climate of Dubai was an added bonus.
If you're looking to enjoy the weekend with friends and family, check out the Street food market at Media Rotana in Barsha Heights aka old TECOM area. It's open from 4pm until 11pm on weekends. Media Rotana is a 5* hotel, part of Rotana Group of hotels. A renowned homegrown brand in UAE and the Middle East.
This is one of my favorite places now to chill with my friends specially on Mondays. Love the atmosphere, the music and the shisha. Prices are on the average and staffs are helpful.
Nice place to meet friends for drinks , shisha and food. If the weather is good , sitting outside is amazing! There was a dj playing music , it was not loud and it was just perfect. We ordered a varsity to share - Cesar salad , calamari , prawn tempura , mixed grills , fried halloumi ( a MUST try! ) The toblerone cheesecake is good but Um Ali - i have had better. Overall , food , quantity and atmosphere is excellent , service can be better; especially that it is located in a hotel.
A couple of us were looking for a place we could enjoy via #theentertainer app. Terrace Lounge was the pick as we were exhausted after a day at IMG world.
So during the winters if you are looking for an outdoor seating place which isnt very crowded, this is the place to be. Dj played good music to be a part of your catch up evening with friends. Drinks + shisha + outdoor catered to my entire groups different needs.

It was also their Friday night BBQ, but sadly no e of us were in the mood for any food. It looks like a hit from what i noticed on the other tables. The staff was good..but never to b found around when needed..
One thing that saddened us was during beautiful winters and specifically the weekend they shut at 1 am. Round about 12 am they shut the music and also mentioned it was last order for drinks. The last order for food was way before that. Surely didnt feel like a weekend.

The weather is amazing in the Beautiful City of Dubai since the beginning of November, and for those living in the UAE, once the weather is cool, we like to stay outdoor, as in summer we don’t have this choice. As The Terrace at Media Rotana has recently launched a BBQ Night on Friday evening, we decided to go to try it and chill in the outdoor lounge. The Terrace is located at the Level 1 of the hotel and the BBQ Night is fro 8pm to 11pm.
Finally the long awaited winter season is here and that means it is time for al fresco dining, picnics and barbecues. Dubai’s winter season is one of my favorite time of the year as I indulge in many outdoor activities. I especially love barbecues during this time of the year. The Terrace at Media Rotana recently launched BBQ Night. The Terrace is located at the Level 1 of the hotel. Every Friday evening from 8pm-11pm this outdoor lounge and bar has a BBQ Night.
Perfect place with a perfect ambience.. rooftop lounge with groovy music to enjoy Sheesha..

I have been here many times, whether it be for hanging out with friends, ladies night or for their themed buffet nights. Ther BBQ buffet is really tasty and the ladies night was OK. The drinks that were provided for ladies night was pink (rose) wine and it was not that great plus the service was horrible. When they are not busy , the service is good, the atmosphere is nice and the food on the menu is good too!
At night in a cool season you can enjoy this place having a great DJ playing a nice music. This place is good to enjoy a drink or a chicha. It is a kind of roof top having a good ambiancr.
I like the ambience of the place. A good lounge feel with nice music. There's a lot of space which means usually even if the place gets crowded, there's not too much waiting time. The service and food are just okay; although it's a lounge the good thing is that it's not limited to just finger food. They do have some main courses, not too extensive but still okay. The valet service for car parking however is very slow in the hotel!

Didn't actually order any food here, but I was shocked by the lovely layout of this place. It's as if you aren't in TECOM (which is a plus). Nice airy terrace with good drinks and shisha and music. Comfy seats as well so it's perfect for lounging.
So now is the perfect time to start hanging around those outdoor lounges. And Terrace Lounge is having a massive area to fill a lot of people especially on a weekend. They won't reserve a table for you though as it really tends to be packed on a weekend. Me and my friends went here on a Thursday night for a simple chit chat, drinks and shisha.
A lot of improvements has been done. As I have noticed on the past reviews, their service became faster. Their cocktail, sex on the beach, is amazing, it tasted so good that I had another one. Their calamari, though expensive, is good. As for the view around the area, be serious folks, don't complain if you are not familiar with the area. They don't have a skyline that your eyes can enjoy. They have a dj that night too who plays great music.
Great place to chill out on weekend specially during this season. Good service, wide range of snacks and shesha.

We wanted to come here, the chilly winters and open terrace Nelson lacked.
But we didn't have to wait for long and got good seats,
Dubai on a chilly and windy winter nights, nothing beats.
Had a few hard liquors to get some warmth in the body,
We also ordered few Sheeshas just like everybody.
A great night out, no complains and they have a huge space,
Drinks and Sheeshas carried out late in the night, for this place I present a strong case.
We came here sometime ago, just after work, and indulged mainly in their Shisha and drinks. The staff could do with better servicing without having to wave at them so long to get their attention. Besides that, the drinks are great and the laid-back terrace seating is lovely during the winters. Haven't tried anything out of their Food Menu, but yes, will surely come back for that.

Our favourite destination if we're in the mood for a great evening that includes being able to talk over a few drinks and sit out in the open. The other boys also love that the place serves great Sheesha.
Service can be a little tiring but you get used to that in Dubai. Favourite drinks include the Old Fashioned and the Manhattan. Food's generic and fairly consistent. Bar snacks nothing to write about.
I'm a regular at this great winter venue as if ticks the boxes for most people - food, sheesha, drinks & entertainer vouchers.
Service is quite hit & miss and the wait for the valet service is much too long - hence the lower rating. If they fixed this the Terrace will easily score 4.5.
Soft drinks are quite expensive @ 22dhs. Standard sheesha flavours are available @ 60dhs and it's nice.
Entertainer vouchers can be used on all menu items including starters. I had the kofta kebab with fries which was great (you get 3 kebabs). My friend wanted a cream based pasta. The menu only has tomato or bolognese sauce but they were happy to oblige even though they charged an extra 25dhs.
As its open air, it started to get quite warm last night but was still bearable for now. Probably my last visit till it cools down again unless they put up a summer tent (like QDs).
Good shisha with a long list of drinks. Food is pretty ok but the ambiance is very chilled out with a nice vibe. A social hangout with friends.

Read a lot about bad service but they seemed alright, maybe they've taken it on board. Didn't eat but saw some food which was just same-same Dubai slops.
Have been here twice so far and have really liked the place! The music is good and matches the ambience. I ordered the combo 3 which is a good choice if you go with some vegetarian friends. It has some bell pepper fingers (very yummy), chicken wings in bbq sauce and spring rolls.
I wouldn't recommend the club sandwich as it is very dry. Although I like their guacamole sauce.
3 drinks of the same kind are on the house for ladies on Mondays and happy hours from 5-8 pm every weekday.
Lovely outdoor seating with comfortable furniture and good lighting. Sheesha is good too!
Amazing Ambience - Delicious Food - Best Music In Dubai.
Ordered Combo 3, Hummus and Zataar. In Drinks ordered Lemon & lime spritzers, Ice tea and pineapple juice.
Food was delicious BBQ sauce in combo 3 was amazing spring rolls were nicely done. Drinks were exactly like what we were expecting. Staff was extremely courteous crowd was beautiful.

One of my favorite places in dubai !! The ambiance is perfect anytime of the day , my destination to chillax, as the combination of outdoor seating with drinks, shisha and bites is just what I need !! And I would recommend the nachos .. Delicious !!
I'm giving 5stars to all that I placed in my plate - from starters to the desserts and down to the wine and coffee. I particularly loved the baked potatoes, Mexican counter and sushi buffet. If I were in my swimwear, I would've jump into the pool because they have free access every Friday when you book your brunch at The Terrace Lounge from 12-3pm. Very very satisfied!😊👍🏻
Came here on a Saturday evening and it surely is a hidden gem. Obviously due to the weather we had to sit inside but the good part is they serve shisha indoors as well. Would definitely want to come back in winters. Food order was nachos (yummy!) and hummus (can be given a miss). They have happy hours on from 5-8pm, drinks are priced reasonably and the cocktails (mai tai is what we had) are good too. Only bad thing about this place was the shisha service as we had to call out the guy atleast 4-5 times to change the coal.
All in all a good place in tecom area, not too crowded, slightly expensive, they do also have enbd discount.
We were a group of 13 people to celebrate a friend's birthday. My friends did quite a lot of reading on Zomato before finally agreeing to me, since there were a lot of negative reviews about the service. BUT WE DID NOT EXPERIENCE ANYTHING LIKE THAT. I did table reservation and we had a place inside, since its summer obviously. They have happy hours from 5pm until 8. The service was quick.
Coming to my favourite department, the food. I loved everything that came. Nachos came with a lot of melted cheddar, jalapenos, beans, and my very favourite guacamole. Hommous was fine, and so was the plain cheese saj. The chicken quesadilla with the guacamole tasted out of the world. Combo 3 comprised of spring rolls, jalapeno and cheese roll and BBQ chicken wings. I think this was the only thing which was a little overpriced. But the taste almost made up for it. My friends liked the shisha too.
Definitely going back.

Could be tried out for a drinks evening with friends. Located near the pool, this open air lounge is quite spacious. We didn try the food here, but the mocktails/ cocktails quality were good. Mojitos were pretty tasty.
All in all, a nice experience.
Was looking for some shisha lounge around tecom n found dis place and must say I wasn't disappointed with the place....the terrace is pretty big n yet crowded. They've put up coolers to beat the heat so dat gives you a bit of respite from the heat...Overall I had a nice relaxing experience...gonna be here more often I guess

It's May and well its summer so when my friends and I decided we wanted sheesha, drinks and a place to chill out at I wasn't sure (with the current humidity) where to go.
Luckily with a little help from twitter, we were introduced to The terrace at Media Rotana.
Knowing it was open air, I was expecting hot, it was quite the opposite actually, AC'S setup after every two tables - we were quite comfortable.
We started our evening with the Lychee Mojito - an absolute must try. Sweet yet packs a punch. A perfect summer drink. (I later on also ordered the orange vodka mojito - just as good!)
For the starters, we ordered the calamari and chicken satay. The chicken satay was a tad bit over cooked but the calamari was absolutely perfect. We were also served a complimentary palte of jalpeno cheese bombers and vegetable spring rolls. I'm not a huge fan of spice but these were amazing. Cheesy and crunchy.
For dinner since we were quite full with the starters we only ordered the Nasi goreng and the Sheesh tawook. The nasi goreng was really nice and oddly went really well with sheesh tawook.
But what we all liked from The terrace wasn't only great service, (Yogesh really took care of us the entire evening) good food and unique cocktails, we really just enjoyed the chilled out atmosphere and I think a lot of Dubai does too since for a Friday evening the restaurant was packed.

Very pleasant ambiance at night (the DJ is awesome) and relaxing during the day :) the whole menu is ok for me but one thing i do recommend and it is their nachos, for 45 AED you can share it with 2 people. What i have to say also is that the staff are friendly and nice to everyone. Service is slow if you are at the pool.

This place is great! Good appetizers, drinks and sheesha. Great atmosphere and vibe as well. Will definitely return. The waiters and waitresses were quick and helpful as well as accommodating.
Good and quiet place to hang out. Service can be made better considering Rotana standards. Happy hour menu is not that voluminous.

Joined a friend here for dinner and drinks and found the ambience extremely pleasant. Now that the weather is cooling down this is a great place to go to catch up with friends. There was plenty of seating as it was mid week.
I ordered the grilled lamb chops with Side salad instead of fries and it was accompanied with a garlic cream. The chops were cooked to perfection and there was a lot of meat to each chop with minimal fat. Table service is available for drinks as well meant that you didn't need to go to the bar. The only problem was that the service was a bit slow. An enjoyable night out :)
Visited many times and lately was yesterday, really good ambience and chill-out place with an open air area with cool music on the bar that does not actually deafen your ears.
Shisha is fairly good with good service, and most of the "finger food" I tried was very good, also the chicken shawarma is great.
the place is mostly packed with people which is a big plus when going out on a Thursday night for example.
They also have a closed (glass house) air conditioned area on the terrace for those hot and humid days.
Had a pretty decent experience overall...good drinks shisha and food...was quite empty on a thursday night which was not expected...set on the poolside of the hotel hence an added feature to the place...

Very cool place to relax, though since it's open-air and in Dubai, this applies only between the months of November and March. Gets reasonably busy during the weekends, but given the space available you never feel cramped. Moreover, as the name says - it's a lounge and not a club. So all in all a good place to come to for a few rounds of drinks with friends after a hectic workweek - good crowd, nice feel and decently priced too.
One of the first places I went out to when I came to Dubai. Its just one huge terrace with a decent enough ambience. It has a very pretty fountain right in the centre of it. Had been there on a weekday. Place was pretty packed. This place is perfect on windy nights to sit out at. They have small cabanas as well where couples can sit. We got ourselves a table facing the road. Pleasant surprise was that they serve sheesha here. We ordered some pita bread platter along with some humus dip. The service was good. Pricing also was pretty reasonable.
Its a nice place to catch up with friends and family.

Staff we’re very friendly and accommodating. The menu selection is great and the sheesha was amazing. There was one instance where I had to charge my phone and the receptionist offered to take my phone and charge at her desk.
Great atmosphere, friendly staff and amazing menu earns them a 5 star from me.
