I don't usually write reviews. It's actually my first time leaving a review on zomato. But this restuarant deserves a one. Starting with the food, you don't have to worry what your friends will have no matter what their taste is. There's something for everyone. Their food menu is informative, short and sweet. Apart from the delicious food I had (ordered a tuna appetizer, tacos and crispy fish), you do feel a soul in the whole restaurant set up. It would make u feel like you are home especially with the carpets styling their stairs. The decoration and interior does look like some other restaurants in dubai, but there's a special character you can feel in the smallest details. The style has something french about it but not very obvious. I like how passionate the waiter was, who had no problem waiting for me asking her about all what the menu offers. It wasn't very busy as I went around 4:30, a weird timing I believe. All in all, the restaurant shows some good work behind it, taking care of the details, offering simplicity and peaceful ambience. Music can be better though. I rarely come across restuarants where they offer variety of food selections, yet succeed in having a character, we can say with a soul between the many many restuarants in dubai.
Thank you
5th occasion of savouring Kizmet’s delicious & delightful dishes. Truly a splendid venue, with even more splendid service.
This visit was focused on Oysters 🦪 @ 5 AED each. Chef very kindly prepared for us a shallot & sherry vinegar accompaniment for our dozen Oysters. This was marvellous.
attached photo is of their breast of duck 🦆 with red berry jus; yet so many of their dishes are delicious + recommended + photogenic ;)
You surely cannot claim to be a DXB Foodie if you have not yet savoured Kizmet Restaurant
• located on the footsteps of DUBAI Opera.
• recommend to pause for a sharing option with friend even if simply walking nearby! (it is worth exploring)
• gleeful to benefit on 5th visit from 25% discount with Zomato Gold (via in-app payment).
After watching phantom of the opera I was searching for a romantic place and this popped up on zomato. A real romantic place with great food. Much recommended
Brunch in style @kizmetdxb @dubaiopera The brunch menu promises a little bit of everything, focusing on dishes cooked in traditional ways, inspired by the cultural melting pot of Dubai, the experience was amazing and the food was outstanding! A little about the @kizmetdxb “kiz” means fate and ‘Met’ means much, ‘destiny’ – in 14 different languages. @kizmetdxb neighborhood spot for playful cocktails, cozy interiors, personalized services and set over two floors directly adjacent to the opera house.
We tried as a starter:
*Arancini: octopus with wild rice and pistachio aioli.
*Potatoe and leek latkes: house smoked salmon with sour cream and salmon roe.
*Tuna tataki: bluefin tuna with sesame, ginger and chili.
Starters presented in a creative way and taste was simply delicious.
Mains we tried: *Tiger milk ceviche: sea bass with sweet potatoe and smoked oil
*Steak E'EGG: ribeye with sunny side up vegetables. Both plates was delicious
Dessert we tried: *Gluten free oat pancakes and *Tayaki sweet cakes:cheese, dulce de leche with coffee butter. Our advise keep space for the amazing dessert!
Very good food, nice variety (small portions so ideal for sharing). Wonderful service, knowledgeable and friendly staff.
Best service I had in Dubai for long time, food was great, very reasonable price for good quality food, well done guys keep it up!
Next time you are going to Dubai opera pass by for a bite or drink.
Kizmet runs on the idea that the food we grew up with should never be forgotten.
I have never seen or tasted dishes like this before.Their dishes are simple & unique without any drama. All dishes in their menu are small plates.Shouldnt forget their Huge & Elegant interiors,Top notch service by friendly & professional staff.
We kick started our dinner with chunkey Yuca Fries & Mojo Sauce along with a refreshing passionfruit mocktail.
Tuna Tostado - I am not a fan of raw tuna. But this was mindblowing. It was full of flavors.Fresh raw tuna paired with exotic ingredients makes a great start to the meal.
Pomelo Salad - A fresh and unique salad made of smoked salmon,Orange blossom water etc is also a must try at kizmet.
Artichoke - Toasted buckwheat with walnut sauce was quite inviting.I have never tried something like this before. It was a soothing dish.
Hummus with Tofu Churros - Churros made of tofu & served with hummus were quite appetizing.
Lamb Shoulder with egg plant- It was the star of the table and we emptied the plate in no time.
Oxtail Pasta - It's a scrumptious pasta made of oxtail birria, pecorino & pine nuts.
Layover in Poland - We also tried this delicious dish made of short rib pierogi, sour cream etc.
Desserts:-
Tres Leches at kizmet is a must try. It’s made of sponge cake, coconut foam, milk paper & yuzu sorbet
Dulce Tropic - Dulce de leche cheesecake with chocolate ganache,Lime Gel & passion fruit banana sorbet.
Desserts were beyond my expectations & we enjoyed every bite of it.We ended our dinner with a chamomile tea.We had a fabulous dinner at Kizmet.
If you want to try a variety of things, go hungry and go with a friend or more because the system is sharing platters. They’re very experimental in their dishes, and although some dishes were weird, they were good. I’m sure some things on the menu will be changing seeing as the place opened recently.
Staff and service is wonderful, cheery, and super helpful.
Ambience is artsy-chic meets jungle fever? Hehe, I love it.
Went on a Tuesday, where there was a live performance. I had the tuna tartare and tacos, they were both delicious! Staff were great and the place is decorated really nicely. Going there again next week to try out more items on the menu!
Amazing Interior, helpful staff, the food is very unique and new recipes , highly recommended for everyone to try and very good prices as well
I’d want to take this napkin home!
A concept of an aesthetic, entertaining and culinary experience all together.
Kizmet is located in the hub of the city and welcoming to everyone in all dress codes! The staff were happy to welcome us/me in gym attire and we never felt out of place for a second.
Fun menu, fun concept for ordering (pencils and sheet) and very finely decorated.
Shareable (small) portions for reasonable prices
Drinks ordered: Virgin Kiss & Fly, yummy & refreshing
Food ordered: My Girlfriend Is Not Hungry, Arancini, Aguachile, Layover In Poland
If you’re an avocado lover like I am then My Girlfriend Is Not Hungry (avocado fries) are unbelievably delicious!
Aguachile is very good, similar to a ceviche.
Must try: Girlfriend Is Not Hungry & Aguachile
Huge five star for a great experience at Kizmet on a Thursday night. I had no idea that this place existed right by the Opera House - and it serves alcohol!! Food was fantastic...we tried the Yuca fries, pasta sheet, ox tail and perogies plus a yummy Tres Leches for dessert. I’m not a huge fan of cocktails but I have to say they made some incredible mixes for us. Great food, great drinks and phenomenal service. I would highly recommend this spot!
Honestly, this place has really perfected it all. They’ve paid attention to all the little details, from the decor down to the fun napkins. And don’t even get me started on the food, every dish I’ve ever tried there (which is many) has been superb. It also feels like you could be in London or NYC, it’s cozy yet big enough for a decent crowd. To top it off, the bar staff and wait staff are all fantastic and super helpful. Hands down one of the best spots in Dubai.
Located right outside the Dubai Opera, Kizmet is a treat for the taste buds. If you are visiting the Opera, then you must experience Kizmet and if you are not visiting the Opera; then you should definitely experience Kizmet. That's how mesmerized I am with this place after visiting them today.
The place is gorgeous with fab interiors. There's ample seating both on the ground floor and the first. The service is top notch with super friendly, completely knowledgable and happy staff. The food is scrumptious and I can't stop raving about this place.
The menu is simple yet outstanding. They say that it's food that we grew up eating is what they serve here and I've definitely not seen food presented this beautifully or taste this good. Each dish is so simple yet with a completely different twist and no its not fusion food here, it's just the most favorite dishes prepared very uniquely.
We were served by Rex who knew details of every single dish on the menu and made some excellent suggestions. Sunday, another absolutely sweet and friendly staff was so good with my little one that he carried her and showed her around patiently almost until we finished our meal.
We started with a Passion Fruit Mocktail and a Fresh Pineapple Juice and we loved them. Simple, yet refreshing.
There's no concept of different sections of the menu and they are all small plates which you can relish. We called for a Hummus, Tuna Tostada, Avacodo Fries and a Kale, Watermelon and Halloumi salad. Each one of these were mind blowing. The Hummus was served with Tofu Churros - I haven't seen or tasted anything like this before ! I was imagining how the avocado fires would be and when I saw them, it was pure nostalgia. Served with habanero mayo, this They were fritters and perfect for the rains. The Tuna Tostada had some delicious tuna and a blast of flavors with chilli and cashew oil on a corn base. The salad was irresistible with fresh kale, watermelon, halloumi and pumpkin seeds.
We then tried the Bone Marrow; yes you read it right, a Bone Marrow and also a Crispy Whole Sea Bass. Again, I couldn't wait to see what the bone marrow would be like and this one was a beautiful creation. It has a layer of the finest marrow with some excellent flavors. Served with sourdough bread and puffed rice, this one is a piece of art with taste that is simply superb. The Crispy Sea Bass is the freshest whole fish fried to perfection and served with green mango, coconut rice and a sauce that blew my mind. Perfectly crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, this sea bass will remain in my heart.
With the bar raised so high, it was time for the desserts. We tried the Tres Leches and a Chai & Apple Pie. The desserts totally lived up to the expectation in fact exceeded them. I've had Tres Leches in quite a few variation however this one was the mother of all the creativity. The softest sponge cake served with coconut foam and a lemon based sorbet; we could not get our hands off this one. The Apple Pie with Chai ice cream is something unheard of and this one was excellent as well.
We ended the meal with the most soothing Chamomile tea and did not want to leave the place.
Thank you Kizmet, you were brilliant !
Fantastic fantastic fantastic!
My new favourite restaurant. Perfect service, perfect food, perfect venue. Nothing else to say really! Thank you for being exactly what Dubai needs

Lovely experience, awesome Culinary experience.
I was truly impressed by what Kizmet had to offer. Truly a culinary wonder and hearing their story from the people who serve there. A vision to combine various cuisines, cooking techniques and use of ingredients from specific region, to all coverage in one plate to give the customers some amazing flavours, well Kizmet had done that perfectly.

Downtown Dubai needs another restaurant like the desert needs more sand. So every new door and menu submission for the hungry masses of Downtown is treated by me with a healthy dose of cynicism. Net, what are you bringing to the table, literally?
Kizmet is another restaurant cherry-picking dishes for sharing from a selection of international influences - South America, Middle East, Mediterranean etc - to form a very eclectic menu; one of the more interesting menus I have seen in Dubai in a very long time.
But before we talk about the food-which of course we will-firstly I wanna talk about the decor and the service. The decor is very modern with a soaring ceiling that reminds me of that scene in the old Charlie and the chocolate factory movie where they drink the fizzy lemonade and begin to float uncontrollably towards the top. Thankfully it is much easier to reach the mezzanine bar through a spiral staircase that snakes the circumference of the restaurant.
We opted to sit on the ground floor which has a curious decor not unlike something you would see in the Alserkal coupled with a more homely feel featuring heavy soft curtains reminiscent of European restaurants keeping out the draft.
The service here was impeccable and I am particular want to thank Camilla and Pearl for taking exceptionally good care of us throughout our very enjoyable dinner but In particular Pearl who has an effortless ease of navigating a menu and ushering customers towards thoroughly enjoyable choices.
HIGHLIGHTS:
- LAMB SHOULDER. This was the best dish we had in my opinion. Very tasty bite-size pieces of lamb shoulder jewelled with pomegranate seeds, and earthly warm tahini based source lifted subtly by a spinach-based purée. While this is clearly middle eastern and its influence on origins, it is a modern interpretation of a home style type dish done exceptionally well. To be honest with you we were very tempted to order a second portion.
- BONE MARROW. I cannot think of another restaurant in Dubai that has bone marrow on the menu in my experience. This match and are used ingredients was roasted and paired with puffed wild rice and slices of sourdough bread just waiting for the bone marrow to be blanket across it. The sweet meaty bone marrow benefits with the additional texture of the crunchy bread but also with the toasted puff wild rice. This is a delicious dish and again the only issue is that I didn’t order a second portion of it.
- AFFOGATO DECONSTRUCTED. This reinterpretation of a classic Italian desert was the source of playful fun that I think is often missing in the Dubai restaurant scene. At the same time it wasn’t contrived. Picture this: a ice cream shaped like a Magnum, placed inside of a small tumblr where espresso coffee is poured on top and you use the Magnum to dip inside of the coffee. This is brilliant because the coffee coffee does not melt the ice cream instantly and you get to keep enjoying the coffee flavour with every dip. The ice cream has a subtle Amaretto flavour that pays well with the sugary crunchy mini meringues that accompanied the dish. Deserts are meant to be fun and they are meant to be enjoyed and this delivers on both.
DIVIDED:
- POMELO. We were not blown away by this dish. The use of pomelo is another instance where the restaurant incorporates seldom seen ingredients into the menu, and for that congratulations. However the pairing with smoked salmon to me just does not work firstly from a textual perspective but also the pomelo fails to cut and contrast the strong oily smoked salmon in the same way that lemon juice would. For me this just does not work and by that I mean it is nearly there but it doesn’t quite make it. For transparency, the person with me loved jt. The chicory / endive provided some much needed crunchy texture.
- SCALLOP RISOTTO. The flavour of the dish worked very well and the scallops were roasted beautifully with a crunchy underside and yet tender centre. That shows good technical ability in the kitchen. However the technical ability did not carry through to the risotto. The risotto was still crunchy and therefore in my opinion undercooked. Strangely the risotto in texture came across as overcooked because it was still very stiff, it was not loose as a good risotto collapses loose on a plate after careful cooking in stock. The balance was off in the risotto while the scallop was executed very well.
The overall experience here is excellent with minor observations. It’s an exciting menu with some great options. Service is exceptional and a good wine list by the glass.
I will definitely be coming back ASAP.
We decided to visit for a Valentine’s Day dinner.
The restaurant is divided between two floors with an open kitchen on the first, and a bar on the second.
Modern, fun but cozy interiors.
The head Chef is from Lebanon and the Sous Chef is Mexican.
The menu is a very interesting combination of Middle Eastern and Mexican flavours.
The dishes are all served in small portions so it is best to order different dishes and share.
We ordered:
· Avocado Fries: It is very hard to go wrong with avocado, in any shape or form.
· Tuna Tostada: Tasty without really inspiring. Had a better version recently at La Carnita
. Aguachile: prawns, cucumber, coconut sorbe. Super refreshing and delicious.
· Lamb Shoulder: The lamb was not as soft and tender as I was hoping for
·Duck Tagine: very good dish for the duck lovers
·Octopus: Octopus, beetroot, and potato foam- great combination!
·Scallops: the dish was a little too salty for my palate
Although a few dishes require fine tuning, overall we enjoyed both the food and ambiance.
Located at Dubai Opera and with free parking, you can spend hours at this restaurant and not get bored with neither the food or the drinks.
Our host, Pearl, was a lovely one who suggested some great dishes and drinks.
We started off our Friday lunch with a glass of Red Wine & Birthday Cake (Whiskey Cocktail). The birthday day was strong enough and pretty good. All cocktails are priced at 65 so no worries!
For our meal, we had:
- Lamb Shoulder which includes lamb bits mixed with eggplant, tahini, sesame, and pomegranate. What a unique combination.
- Smoked Leg with a spread of Butternut squash and strawberry pop. The leg was crispy on the outside as it was smoked and then panfried while the inside was soft and juicy.
- Oxtail Pasta was a delicious plate of Italian cuisine.
- Scallops have always been my favourite and Kizmet did not let me down. With butter, sunflower seeds, and sorell, it was one amazing plate.
Ended the meal with a cup of cappuccino & Dulche Tropic (cheesecake) topped with Passionfruit & Banana sorbet.
What a lovely place. Food was delicious and interesting and they were wonderful hosts. We managed to break a glass and nearly impale a waitress with a chair but it didn’t even break their stride. Every member of staff was delightful and knowledgeable and each dish thoughtful, unusual and enticing. Highlight was the sea bass which we practically fought over. Thank you, Chef
Yesterday we were just walking around and this place catch our curiosity from outside with this candle and carpet on the entrance...the ambience is really nice..warm and relaxing...the restaurant is on 2 floor and on the 1ft floor you can happily smoke...we decide to sit upstair and the counter a very nice bar with a large space where you can enjoy your food and drinks...
We were really surpised about the prices on the menu plus the variaety or food in it...super reasonable for the area (close to Dubai Opera...)not a huge menu...but small and fancy...the bartender and the hostess explain to us that the food concept is based on different influence and different country...like Dubai !!!
I m always very curios to try some different kind of arancini becauae they are originally from my beautifull country Sicily...they propose a octopus wild rice arancini accompanied of a Pistaccio sauce...the flavour was really nice and a bit spice as well and I really like it but actually I didnt feel the octopus at all...maybe guys you should work on the quantity of the spices to make the fish mantain his flavour...
“my girfriend is not angry”this the cool name of a dish make with avocado fried...super cool idea for who like me love the avocado just a small point...try to make it dry and dont let the avocado absorb to much the oil it will be much more easy to digest and the girlfriend will not worry about the diet...
the bartender suggest is to try Layover in Poland a very good choice actually..a kind of ravioli I can say stuffed with shor Ribey acconpanied of betroot shot...I love it!!
we will definetely be back and try the other exciting option on the menu...
Good Luck guys and keep it up!!!
thank you!
I have heard a lot about this restaurant, & for good reason. The staff were super friendly, attentive, & very well informed of their own dishes. The ambience was classy, yet cosy, & the decor superb. The food was out of this world. I didn’t know what to order, because everything sounded so good. It was dish after dish, flavor after flavor. My taste buds were in heaven. I honestly can’t wait to go back, as I have a whole other side of the menu to try. Oh and did I mention that the price is super reasonable. For that quality of food & service, I thought it was incredible!
I haven’t reviewed a restaurant for months because the last restaurant I visited put me into such a bleak hole of despair, that I suffered in the hopelessness of it all. It has taken the Serb months to gently coax me out of my miserable existence and convince me there are still good restaurants out there.
A new favorite in Dubai! Beautifully designed restaurant with super friendly staff, drinks made with lots of care, and really delicious food. Highly recommend the arancini! My husband and I were so excited to find a place that plays great music at a normal (not deafening) volume. Can’t wait to try the rest of the menu!
Look at me writing again! After a terrible run of underwhelming restaurants and many one-off fun festive evenings, I have been more than ready to get back into the Dubai dining scene. Located at the Dubai Opera plaza, (not, as I was somehow expecting, actually inside the Opera building – d’oh!) the restaurant is next door to Kohantei and Moishi. Through the large front doors, once inside, the two-story space is well lit (mostly by the massive windows which allow maximum light) and my guest and I enter in the golden glow during the magic hour of early evening. In keeping in line with the quirky charm, the fit out runs in something of a South Beach Miami vibe, including an open kitchen. Curious, we walk upstairs (I’ll ignore the mobility challenges here for persons of determination) to the bar/lounge area and are greeted by an equally chicly designed space.

Great decor, amazing food, reasonable price, friendly staff. You can’t go wrong with this place. Stands out from the crowd of copycat Dubai restaurants. Menu changes depending on what’s in season and they constantly add new dishes. Tuesday nights with the singer Stephen and Monday taco nights are awesome. Fav dishes are the ceviche and prawn tacos.

The interiors are purposeful, each perfectly selected by the creators of the business. They have two levels and both areas are different from each other. The bar is decked fully and the wooden elements adds more grandeur to this elegant place.
The dessert was Tres leches and dulce tropic. The art that goes into making these sweet sensation is pure talent and thought. The presentation is rich and the taste unmatched. It was really nice hearing our server James, so eloquently explaining the ingredients and the cooking methods gone into the dish. We loved it, James was such a sweet guy and loved his presence and service.

For its location, this restaurant definitely stands out of the crowd! 🌟
📍 Located at the heart of Downtown Dubai, Kizmet is one of the trendiest restaurants I’ve tasted so far!
👫 The staff are super friendly and helpful, whether you’re asking about the different flavours in the food, or the extensive selection of drinks.
🍴 The food is deliciously affordable, pushing you to try several of their unusual dishes without worrying about the check.
Out of the several items we’ve tasted, the Arancini (🐙) and the Pomelo Salad (🍊🐟) are a must-try!
☕️ This restaurant is a great option for a coffee with friends, a business lunch, or even a romantic date for two!
Will definitely be coming back to try the whole menu!

Beautiful little place in an amazing location with a very cosy interior. During the day it's filled with sunlight but is a great getaway from the heat. Feels like you're not in Dubai when you're inside. Great prices and very tasty food. Definitely recommend and will be back for sure.

I can’t begin to say how much I enjoyed coming to Kizmet and it deserves far more reviews than it has at the moment!! It had a wonderful atmosphere, great wait staff and really lovely, different food! The menu is a bit different, mainly tapas style, but some main courses. I had the duck pizza which was incredible!! We enjoyed it so much that we went back after the show and had cocktails there. They do a great Black Russian! For the location, the different menu, the quality of the food and the service, the price is more than reasonable. I loved it and will definitely be back. I just found a new favourite. Thanks for a wonderful evening!!
