Don’t get me wrong. I love my spicy food but I prefer the chilly oil/mix separated which they offer at the side, with an extra cost, this way I get to enjoy the plain soup and when I want a little kick with some of the item. I dip it with the chilly.

Disappointed the haven't thought of a business lunch special for one person, so you have to order several dishes and it's really too much for one person - so, come with friends, with family. First going there I was concerned, never had hot pot, didn’t have a clue what to do there and how to cook it as well as was not able to understand what I need to order and how much it will cost ( I checked menu before going there and it’s a bit confusing)
I’ve arrived and ordered lamb and beef mix, shrimps, pack choi, glass noodles and 2 pots - hot with beef oil and not spicy with mushrooms ( which was delicious 🤤!!!) Waiter kindly explained to us what to do, how to cook, he helped us to pick souse. The price was 200 aed for 2 😍
Long story short 😅 - I’m soooo satisfied with food, place and service that definitely will be going back there again soon ❤️
I don't know where to start from i love this place to the core. So many good vibes. My first time to experience shabu shabu hot pot just loved it. The idea behind cooking your own food is magnificent. I loved every bit. The food, the service everything. 2 spicy flavours with alot to dip in it was amazing. Must try. 5 stars all the way

If you havent dived into the hot pot at Nine Squares Restaurant, then youre missing out on life! This hidden gem in the International city offers the best traditional Chinese hot pot. The idea is to dunk the raw ingredients in the simmering metal pot (on your table) filled with broth. What sets this place apart are the four types of hot pots - single, twin, circular and nine-section where diners can mix and match soup bases and spice levels together with a long list of authentic condiments to choose from. Think handmade beef balls, black fungus mushrooms, quail eggs, mussels and those feeling brave might give duck intestines a try. Clearly, this eatery is not for the faint-hearted and it goes without saying: come hungry!

Unlike other hotpot restaurants, this restaurant uses great ingredients, not some cheap vegetables and meat. It also has a great ambience and is very welcoming. They even have a apron if worried about you clothes.

Service was wonderful. It felt like home. Very clean restaurant. Food quality very good and the stocks are full of flavours. Quality of ingredients very good and sufficient for a table of 6. Except for fish balls all other ingredients were tasty.
Collins our server was very helpful and humble in explaining the dishes. He has a very good product knowledge and knows how to upsell keeping in mind the guest needs.

Authentic Chinese hotpot experience. It's a different style of dining, basically your boiling the goodies you order in a pot at your table filled with a soup of your choice.
Luckily our server, Collins, was truly fantastic. He guided us rookies through the entire process. Watch out, the food can get very spicy, be vary of that.

Always our go-to place for comfort food! Food preparation is meticulously done, ingredients freshly sliced to perfection and in symmetry. Crabs, shrimps, and prawns are gutted and cleaned. They have a wider array of ingredients that other shabu shabu places don't offer. The sauces complement each other and are always stocked full. The staff are quick, friendly, and courteous. I have a two-year old tot that plays with everything and they were very considerate and still very friendly with her. The resto is very thoughtful to provide aprons and hair scrunchies (coz you dont want that hair on the soup, girl!). Interior is super instagram-worthy, decorations are abound but doesn't look busy. Highly recommended to my peers!
It’s a great place. What not to like about this? You can socialize and cook your own food. Moreover I personally love how chill the environment is and how family friendly the place is. The golden buns are the best thing on the menu. Fresh food and delicious food.
Was craving for some Chinese food and visited nine squares restaurant and the food here was very amazing and the staff here was courtious too the ambience was good but it can be improved more. Dragon balls and spring rolls here are must try.
We have been there twice now and have enjoyed the experience. The staff are always eager and helpful to assist. The options of the seafood i.e. tiger prawns, squids, fish balls and the different variety of mushrooms, seaweed and the noodles were good. The diff sauces that they let us sample were also nice.

Hands down the best hotpot in Dubai! Good selection of soup, vegetable and meat. Everything is tasty with a perfect balance of flavour. Not too salty, not too sweet, not too spicy. Definitely a place to be for an amazing hotpot experience.

Food - ordered the twin hotpot with beef soup on half side (make sure its mild coz it’s quite spicy already) and the herb soup on the other side. Also ordered the beef balls, lotus root, bak choy, lamb and beef slices, mushrooms, potatoes and noodles. All were delish! Don’t forget to make your own dipping sauce.

It was an amazing experience for us.
One of our friends invited us for Hotpot.
It was our first experience to try this. It was a beautifully decorated restaurant... ambience is very nice. Every table has it's own electric cooker.
Staffs are really very helpful and cooperative.
they provided aprons and hairband.
We ordered twin pots, one mushroom base and another herb base, medium spicy.
We got chicken, lamb, prawns, crabs, mixed tofu, mixed mushroom, mixed vegetables, mung bean noodles, seaweed, lotus root, white gourd, egg fried rice, cucumber salad.
We prepared a dip for the soup.. we can choose from different types of ingredients.
It tastes really great..
Service was excellent. They're changing our plates and removing tissue papers from time to time.
They're filling our soup pot from time to time.
For dessert we took ice tea with ice cream and ice coffee with cream. Desserts were very soothing on our palate after spicy Hotpot.
But its little bit expensive compared to other restaurants.

This is me first time trying hotpot,so with zip ideas we went in there but staffs were so eager and ready to help us with the whole hotpot thing.
We opted for a twin pot, with beef oil and herbs. (thanks to zomato reviews)We ordered beef&lamp combo,mussels,crab balls,shrimp jelly and hotpot noodles. we decided to go with medium spicy,still it was too spicy for my indian taste buds. I liked the beef oil one,the herb one was little blunt to my taste.
They own awesome sauce station too.(you gotta pay separate for the sauces,that was a bit let down)
For dessert we decided to go with the buns(don’t miss out these buns) the golden buns were fried to perfection and felt smooth like butter. Surely going back just to try these buns again.

A gem of a place. Amazing hotpot with a fantastic sauce station, extremely friendly and helpful staff and great quality of meats complemented with a majestic and exotic interor. Really loved the place. The only downside was that i found it rather high priced. We paid AED 275/- for 2 people which i found rather high compared to other spots, but none with the same ambience or the same level of service! Hats off to the management and staff.

If someone were to ask me where to go for hotpot, I would recommend Nine Squares without a doubt. The meal I had here combined with the service and ambience is unmatched.
First off, this restaurant is absolutely beautiful. You can tell a lot of thought has gone in to decorating the place and even from the outside, it looks too pretty to pass. All the tables have their own hotpot base along with a rack to the side to keep extra dishes before they make their way in to the pot.
The staff were so helpful and seemed genuinely eager to help us. Since our family is sort of new to hot pot, we went with safe options and kept the spice level to a minimum.
We ordered twin hot pots with one mushroom base and one herb base. We got the beef and lamb combo, squid, peeled shrimp, beef & onion dumpling and rice cakes with egg noodles and egg fried rice. Everything was fresh. Our waitress helped serve us after everything was cooked and even made the seasoning for us. For dessert we ordered the sweet rice cakes.
I don't think I've recently left a restaurant so happy and satisfied.
Authentic Chinese restaurant with fantastic food and customer service. We had a Nepalese waitress who guided us through what to order as it was our first time there to ensure that our dishes were not extremely spicey. Definitely reccomend if you're looking for Chinese authenticity

Hot pot is a Japanese concept food. The restaurant serves great food with nice ambience. You have to cook the ingredients in choice of oil (beef oil/ rapeseed oil/ herb oil..) with options of mild, medium and hot spice level. Mild spice level is more than enough for us.
There are lot of meat, vegetable and noodle options to choose from the menu and served to your table raw and fresh. Cook yourself in the hotpot and enjoy the food.
Tried lamb slices, beef slices, crab balls, chicken dumplings, snow mushroom, golden mushrooms, lotus root, black fungus, hot pot noodles and sweet potato noodles. Tried golden fried bun as desert which was delicious.
Nine Squares is actually one of the best restaurant for Chinese and Asian cuisine in Dubai. The ambience inside is really very soothing. In short this is actually one of the best place to have a quality time with your friends and family. I definitely recommend you this place, do try this out.

If you haven't had hot pot you're missing out. This place is traditional, customer service is exceptional and the food is delicious and super spicy! Be careful to order mild spicy even if you think you can take spice because on its own that's spicy enough. We had lots of veggies options, prawns, chicken, fish and tofu, and rose rice porridge for dessert. The sauce counter was also super fun and yummy. We were also given chop sticks for beginners haha. I would recommend this place.

The first time I tried shabu shabu and I loved it. With trainer chopsticks,apron and even a hairband the restaurant is truly proactive. Its defintelt a must try for all i would say.

Loved the ambience at this cozy little spot, it was my first time giving hotpots a shot. I didn’t have the slightest clue about what was coming my way, unprepared - until the waiter walked me through the process. I like the concept and the food was great (partly cause it was me doing the cooking)
Note : Dessert is a no go at this place. You might want to jet somewhere else if you’re looking for a sweet fix after your meal.

We went with our friends who are frequent ‘hot potters’ they said it was the best hot pot they have ever had. It was our first hot pot experience and honestly, we will back time and time again!! Staff are amazing- decor is stunning. All in all 5 Stars!!
Absolutely loved this place! Got recommended by a friend through Zomato gold and we've been 3 weeks in a row :) One of the things that really stood out was the level of service and friendliness of the staff.
We opted for 2 flavours - Mild soup and mushroom flavour. All the sides were very affordable and big portions. The 2 of us ordered one meat dish (not big meat eaters) and 8 sides which was plenty!
Overall a really fun and different experience to dine. You can even ask staff to suggest some sauces from the sauce buffet.

Amazing amazing food. This is definitely a hidden gem, we have been passing from same road for last few months quite regularly and noticed that it's usually occupied. No doubt it's a perfect place if you want to experience hotpot. One day we abruptly decided to go their and wowww.. if you like authentic chinese food you'll love it. We went there and the staff was very nice as we visited for the first time and needed some guidance they helped us alot. Over all amazing experience and yes their mild spicy is like very spicy so atleast i recommend not going for medium or hot spicy. It's a bit pricey but more the people more economical it will be. And do try their honey lemonade it's yummm. We were 2 persons and our bill was 230 which includes a pot of green tea and a jug of lemonade. With our soups we ordered shrimps, fish fillets and chicken strips in meat and 2 types of mushroom, spring oniins and some other veges and a serving of noodles.
Came here for dinner the other day and had a fantastic experience. Absolutely nailed the hotpot experience. The staff here are extremely friendly and helpful and guide you if you’re a first timer. Their menu is more widespread as compared to other similar restaurants around town. The meat and vegetables are fresh too.
As the name suggests they have a pot with nine squares in them. But, yeah the base will be the same in all. This is good in a way because you can cook different things at each square instead of having them all mixed and searching for them in the pot. We had gone for the medium spicy pot as per the servers recommendation with beef oil.
Overall, this is a place you’ll want to visit multiple times, specially if you’re a fan of chinese. And by Chinese, i mean, authentic Chinese.

The price is okay a little bit expensive ( i mean you can find more cheaper hotpot places nearby) but it’s worth it. The service is also good. Will definitely be back on this restaurant. By the way to complete the shabu shabu experience you must create your own sauce.
