Located behind Plaza cinema, this karachi Darbar restaurant is decent place to visit to have some authentic Pakistani cuisine.
We had visited this restaurant for dinner. We tried their chicken tikka which was absolutely delicious, it was well marinated and grilled perfectly. We even tried mutton afghani and chicken tikka masala which i really enjoyed. Their rotis are freshly prepared and it goes well with the curry.
Located in the heart of Bur Dubai, Karachi Darbar serves customers an array of lipsmacking pakistani dishes. From using the freshest ingredients to delivering excellent service, there are many reasons to visit the restaurant.
One fine weekend my family and I visited for their biryani, which was served with 3 pieces of kebabs. They were juicy, delicious and packed with flavors.. We also ordered a mutton kadai.
The portions are great, perfect for three people.
There's also ample seating with special area for families.
Really if you love to have the tasty and heavy breakfast this is best place. We love to have their halwa puri and aloo prantha on weekend.

We went to this place and the food is really good. The starters are much better than the main course. However the main course is great too. We ordered chicken tikka and mutton seekh kebab for starters and chicken peshawari and tandoori roti for main course.
The chicken tikka ( with bone and boneless) was amazinggggg... I mean it was soft, tender and beautifully grilled to perfection. The mutton seekh kebab was also very good and came along with a gravy. The kebabs were very succulent.
Coming to the main course, the peshawari was brilliant too. Cooked to perfection, with soft roti. In fact we couldn't finish the chicken. Good quantity, Very cheap and super tasty food. Although the ambience isn't that great but who cares when the food is soooo delicious.
Ordered Kheema from here on a Friday morning.
Delivery was super quick and the menu is very reasonable.
The Kheema was yummy tasted really nice but it was super oily. I literally had to drain the oil out from the box. Hope they reduce on the oil coz it tastes good.
Service is fast.
Pricing is very cheap.
Went here after few months, having been born and brought up near this restaurant, I was a regular till a few years back.
The taste has never changed and the service, hospitality all remains the same. Few menu items have changed, few things like salad don't come free anymore, pudhina yogurt is not a standard, you have to ask for it. Of course the prices are friendly to pocket and the taste is good to enjoy.
It was my first time to go in Pakistani food. They surprise me with there food. And also pocket friendly menu. We had mutton kebab kadai it was so good and with good portion.
My husband and I had a wonderful Diwali night at this restaurant. Mutton is tender and juicy and the service is good. And most importantly, many thanks to the team. I left the restaurant and forgot my bag on the chair. After realizing it 10 minutes later, I hurried back to the restaurant. The waiters kept my bag safe and sound and gave it back to me. THX

Dal and roti is my favourite. In fact I never even tried anything else from here. Particularly when its late night, the smell and flavour of the dal is very satisfying. The roti is big enough that one needs only one roti. We even share one dal between the two of us and buy two rotis. Thats all in for less than 10 dirhams for two people, I think. Very economical, satisfying and tasty.

Your food order is on your table less than 3 minutes and that is amazing. It is a must visit frequently and they have an excellent network of several locations !!!
Chicken Tikka Biryani combo came with a drink, gravy, and Gulab Jamun. The rice was pretty decent but the gravy was delicious.
alongside we also ordered Parathas and Butter chicken. Eating from here after ages!
One of the most famous restaurant in Dubai with a very nominal pricing strategy which focuses on all the class of people. I ordered karahi mutton, chicken tikka and daal maash with tandoori roti and the food was delicious and the good thing about this branch is you can sit outside and the location is nearby the creek so you can enjoy the cool breeze while eating. I am giving 4 starts for the reasonable price🙂
Value for money is what sets Karachi Darbar apart from its competitors. This place is always teeming with life from morning to the wee hours.
Food was good, good service and it's a great value for money. We ordered dal ,3 rotis, chicken gravy and it did just cost 26 dhs. Don't expect a good ambience but if you are willing to have some good food, I recommend.
A friend recommended me this place as I was about to visit Dubai. I tried it the second day itself and went on to eat here every alternate day.
The place is quite easy to locate and has a separate seating for families.
Speaking about the food, one should realize that the portion sizes are huge and even a single dish can fill you up quite easily. My most favourite dishes over 2-3 visits are:
Pepper Chicken Fry - It was spicy, and sort of like fried chicken.
Mumtaz Kebab - This came as 4 huge pieces of chicken Seekh Kebab. Very juicy and soft kebabs, beautifully cooked.
Shahi Haleem - The taste was quite different than I expected but was very good.
Prawns Biryani - The best one I have eaten yet. Really delicious and a must try!
To anyone who wants to try authentic Pakistani food on a budget, this is surely a place to visit.

Always love visiting the place, and if you're looking for Good Pakistani food without leaving a hole in your pocket this is the place to be at. Placed an order for the Peshawari Chicken Handi, Chicken Tikka Biryani & Daal with Chapati. The service was quick as well, and the staff are quite friendly as they keep checking in on you. Loved the Biryani and the Chicken Handi. The Daal was also good, served along with a complimentary gravy. The Chapatis were so soft and delicious too. Price is quite cheap and I'd definitely recommend this place.
This is one of my favorite restaurant in Dubai. A must visit if ur a true food lover. Haleem is perfectly made a must have. I liked the newly introduced kabab karai. Nihari is another master piece. I did not like the tikka Biryani though but I will ignore that for rating.
Was a great experience. We ordered Mumtaz chicken kabaab with rumali roti, Both tasted awsome, salad and raita was fresh, and traditional daal was a good accompliment. we ended feast with rasgulla and rasmalai and tea....yummy
Average place in terms of ambience and service but ...Food is DELICIOUS......Haleem, magaz masala, kebab, dal, shahi kofta...is a must try.

They are a really good restaurant
If you grew up in Dubai and especially in the Meena Bazaar/Bur Dubai area it was almost impossible that you didn't dine at this restaurant, as they were one of the early birds in the area :).
Holding the fort since, for authentic Pakistani food, which will take your taste buds for a ride and their food is packed with flavor and spice and a lot of oil and fat too, so don’t keep a calorie count when dining here.
What makes this experience even better is being served by people who are truly happy to serve and feed you till you are satiated ☺.
Also one of the most reasonable meals you will eat in Dubai, even to this day when things have become so damn expensive.
If you dig Pakistani cuisine or are a meat lover and love regional cuisines with immense flavor then don’t miss this.
When it comes to the butter chicken and tandoori roti you just can't go wrong with KD . I decided to go for my all time favorite dish at this place . It was served super hot within 6-8 mins which was pretty quick . Same taste , same quality of chicken for a long long time and this is what makes me come to this place again and again . Ambience wise this place is a letdown but the staff people are quiet friendly and their service is super quick .
I have seen so many reviews about different restaurants where people talk about hygiene n all I think if u want hygienic u should stay at home because that u won't find even in 5 star hotels anyway Karachi darbar is a good restaurant the taste is not bad and the service is very good
One must try mutton peshawari and mutton biryani. I loved it. yes crowd you may found not good there but as far as the food concerns, it's delicious so i order for home delivery instead of dine there.
I would recommend to have peshawari specially.
Though a vegetarian, this is supposedly my most favourite restaurant... Not only is the veg food mouth smacking, but the people serving there are very humble, loving and warm...
They serve the best Malai Koftas, Jalfrazi and dal... Top it up with their superb Falooda...
Second best Pakistani food after Ravi Restaurant , their mumtaz chicken kebabs and Pakistani tandoori roti is my order always .
Food here is just ok & reasonably priced. One can enjoy their karahi gosht & biriyanis, but its my opinion if you want to enjoy Pakistani food U have better options, such as Ravi (any branch) or daily restaurant.

I have been to Karachi Darbar a few times now. The karahis are decent but not in the league of Ravi or sheher e karachi. Still a decent option for a change and very easy on the pocket.

I am a simple , blatant and honest rater. So, it happened once on a lonely evening when i was craving for kind of Indian food when KDR stumbled across me and i was like "not karachi food". But my hunger thronged me to the place to have a quick meal. I gauge places with one major pointer"ROI" or value for money.
So this place technically gets 5 stars with amazing food and table service like a regular Indian Streetside. Most dishes are mouthwatering , atypical of the Chandni Chowk fried chicken and mouth watering Chawlas butter chicken. If you wish to go just for a meal, a clean ine, this place is apt.
Except for the dessert which they are not really good at, do try the biryani with chicken seekh and flavoured raita and the seekh kabab masala with roti(humongous size).
One of the best Pakistani restaurants in town! Their mutton peshawari was served to us in a traditional kadai, and wow. The spices were so raw and tasty. Along with their soft tandoori roti, it just added to the experience. You mustn't miss out on their sweet lassi. It's so thick and refreshing at the same.The food is always great here.. No complaints about that. I have been eating here for years. Very well priced and affordable.
Karachi Darbar all over is totally awesome. I have always liked this place and always will. Great food, very low rates and quick service, even when they are completely cramped by customers.
If one is hungry, needs spicy subcontinent food and wants to go light on the pocket, then this is a good option. Lots of meat options, and Pakistani food remains an all time hit at least with me. The mutton is particularly tender. Try the Nihari.
Its food is so good that almost every day I have it's food. Me and my family always come here to eat the food. Also the plates are really clean
Honestly speaking when I came to dine at Karachi darbar for the first time I thought that I made a mistake coming in here with my friends since I'm a vegetarian and that people come in for the authentic Pakistani food which is obviously non-veg food. So I ordered a paneer sabzi and naan and I have to say I was quite impressed with the sabzi I ordered. The paneer was nice and soft and the gravy was good as well. The naan was nice and soft. For the price that I had to pay I was really happy with my food. The raita they give is also nice and the staff offers good service and are really kind. I would love to come here again and try out more dishes.

I just wish that they focused more in general cleanliness and upkeep of the restaurant. In general the toilet and the hand wash area in the family section is in a disgusting and filthy state.
I grew up eating Karachi Darbar food on weekends or on days nobody felt like cooking.
I absolutely love their food, since it's quite oily, I restrict myself to eating it around once a month or so.
Being a vegetarian, the options are less but it's still enough for me to enjoy every bite.
My usual order is dal tadka, paneer masala and veg kolhapuri with tandoori roti and/or rumali roti.
It's the best to satisfy craving for greasy masaledaar food.
Their sabzi and dal is flavourful and spicy to my liking. Their tandoori roti is heavenly. It is huge and crisp while the rumali roti is super soft.
I always do a take out or delivery, never have eaten sitting there but the staff is very friendly, every time I've gone there to order a take out.

Karachi darbar i really enjoyed the chicken tikka... those yummy tangri were absolutely amazing so was the peshawari chicken kadhai with tandoori roti but the briyani was just ok. Suggestions do try the chicken tikka bone in quarter which is fir dhs 10.
The food is pretty afforfldable. Worth the price. The biryani is nice. The prawn curry is good too.
The ambience is not that great. The coffee is mast ;) . The service is great and fast.

This particular branch offers delicious breakfast, the kheema paratha is a regular friday breakfast for me, something which cannot be missed! If you like indian / paki food, kheema is a must have here especially the one offered for breakfast as its different. and the tea for just 1 AED is refreshing!
was a great place to eat when I used to stay in Dubai. For some one at that time who was having a meagre salary and lots of appetite to eat Karachi Darbar was a destination.
They used to give Haleem in 8 AED which was kind of sufficient for two guyz, imagine eating a good food in 5.5 AED.I have been to Karachi Darbar manier times in their various branches, their taste is homogeneous because of their centralized kitchen but may be their kebabs and seekhs will taste little different because of the griller variation. I did not like their seekh or their biryani but their mutton korma,haleem and their special tandoori roti was mind blowing.
Honestly I cannot comment on the taste now because it has been quite some time I visited them but I feel they would continue to have a tradition of providing great taste at a great price.
The word is AWSOME for the Biriyani in this place. Had never had such awsome biriyani anytime untill Karachi Darbar..... Wish to see you in INDIA soon :)
