The term Homely food recently uses everywhere for the marketing purposes but don't feel it anywhere, I found a place really truthful to that term, here it says in food business ethics stands taller than profitability, its their passion... I am keeping together my hands to have such ambitions to come to the modern era...
The best kerala cuisine in dubai ... one of the finest restaurant i ever visited all over UAE.
Food was excellent. We had a wonderful Eid lunch! This place is a must visit if you like authentic Kerala cuisine.
We tried the Idiyappam with Nadan fish curry for the first time last night and the food was great, freshly cooked very delicious. The waiters were attentive and service overall was good. Overall a good meal and great value we will certainly be going back.
Neat and clean ambiance, yummy spicy Trivandrum style food, reasonable rate.
Very homely
Typical Trivandrum style
Good luck
Great food👍 Ambience is nice if you are looking to have a good lunch with your family. North and south Indian food both are worth trying
Sea Bream Pollichathu - Highly irresistible and droolworthy. What a flavourful dish. Love the idea of cooking in a banana leaf. Oh, and the combination of spices looks and tasted fantastic on this fish.
The distinct smells of the fish and masala will have your mouth watering 🙂👍🏼
It was a memorial experience for us. They had a very nice staff and they were friendly too. The food was just so delicious 👍❤️. I rate it 5

Really good food quality.
-great service, all the waiters are very friendly.
-the egg fry is a must try including the biryani.
While I was visiting Dubai, we visited the restaurant which came highly recommended. The restaurant is very different to the many I have visited in the past! You get the feel of being in Kerala, the fragrance, the staff & the authentic Keralite food. The food was delicious, the staff very attentive and friendly.
Highly recommend the place if you want an authentic Kerala Experience
Visited this place for lunch with veg colleagues.

Have visited this brand quite a few times , and they never fail to disappoint me . Not much of a keralite food fan but this place is the best for those of you who want to experiment with different cuisines.
Had ordered Prawns Chatti Curry , Appam , Fish Fry, Bamboo Biryani
The portions are great and stomach filling also the pazhashi salad and the complimentary welcome drink was nice
Food - 4/5
Value for money - 3.5/5
Ambience : 4/5
Surely coming back next time :)
I have visited Calicut Notebook several times over the past few years, and they have not disappointed, even once.
The food is delicious, great hygeine, rather quick service & very friendly staff.
The starters that they provide is delicious - little shakes & leaf plate.
The price is affordable too.
The only downside is the noise, courtesy of the busy Lulu Hypermarket, but calm and peaceful of not visited during rush hours. During rush hours, the quality of breads decrease too, but not always.
Highly recommended.
Loved their mango curry .. and the service is awesome especially on weekdays, you will get double attention:-), overall they have wide variety of ulauthentic south Indian food serving on banana leaf .. try their welcome platter some sort of leaves you fold it within dried coconut pulps and some extras.. weekends can be really packed better to book the tables before..
Kandhari Fish and Aleppy Chicken Curry and Appam was extremely awesome. The staff Akeel is so friendly and smiling, warmly welcomed us, service is so fast and quick. Tried pazhashi salad for the first time. Our first time experience but an everlasting memory of the taste. Any indians or any nationals must go.
Calicut Notebook is absolutely awesome place for dine out with family and friends. Amazing food and great service. Mango curry with Aampam was just delicious and best👌 loved the persion salad & mango salad . ♥️
A really good place for a nice kerala meal. The place is worth the money. We had the kanthari fish Tawa for starters which is a must must try. The fish was soft and fresh. We had the Friday meals which was really good and they had a lot of side dishes. The service is good.
The welcoming salad was unique.
Wheat Porotta was good.
Plain Porotta was crispy and good.
Beef varattiyath was awesome.
Prawn masala was the best.
Butter chicken was not that great.

Great food! I love ambiance and gestures... staff are very polite. I love all starters... would recommend fish lovers to visit this place... they serve different varieties...
This place is similar to Calicut paragon restaurant! Amazing Kerala food! Love their fish curry meals and their chicken kabab as it’s crispy and love the taste of coconut with it :) it’s mostly crowded for lunch but other times it’s good!
Its so good especially the starters. thai salad was awesome. Ambience is also so good. Price is little high when compared to other same range hotels.
Excellent lunch ... super delicious sweet ... professional and friendly staff. An area of improvement is the delay in serving. It took 15 minutes for me after ordering. But still a delicious lunch.thanks.
As a casual option we selected the counter for keralite food and I should say it was one of the best ... starting from ambience , choice of food , and most important how it taste .. kind of homely ... I must say I was not able to move after my lunch 😉 ... however while selecting the special dish for the day do ask the price .. yeah one thing is that restaurant provide an amazing starter along with the lunch ..
Very tasty dishes, wide variety at a budget price! Try to have Nishanth as your waiter as he will turn your dining into a very nice experience. Also try the strawberry smoothie ;)
Really a good place for foods from malabar and their fusions dishes are also good. as usual biriyani is my favorite and tried hamour in sizzler, good taste and good service.

Last night we had dinner from Calicut Notebook Restaurant Qusais. They welcomed us with Chukku Kappi with dates flavor and a fusion salad known as Pazhassi Salad. I ordered Marari chicken and Kanthari fish. It was very spicy and tasty. And thenN ordered Hamoor kottayam Curry, Beef Ularthiyathu and Chicken curry. Hamoor curry was out of the world but Beef was not good as we had expected. The place doesn’t have a complete ambience. Staffs are friendly and they carry a smiling face. It is a highly recommended restaurant.
One of the best India restaurant which I prefer first. The place with authentic food and flavours. Good ambiance and friendly staff. Explained very well about the food and drinks. Serve with smile, Me and my family very thankful for the Hospitality service. I love the mocktail and my favourite Nadan Chaya. Thanks to all the Team members.

If you are craving for nice Malabari South Indian food this is the place to try out. Famous for its Chicken and muttton biriyani and also nice unique fish fry. Don’t shy away to try some mock tails at the end. Value for money for sure
Friday evenings call for paratha and chicken curry. The closest place for us that serves delicious kerala styled curries and great wheat paratas. They serve a refreshing welcome drink and a leaf platter which looks amuzing.
The best i like about this restaurant is their salad.a different concept which should be tried out.starters are good like the chicken soup and sweetcorn soup.we had the butter chicken, chicken vazhattiyath, chatti curry fish and fish mango curry all were yum.they also have some nice juice which are refreshing and is must try.their special in desserts are drooling good.keralite style with a twist.very busy during weekends

The way they present food is amazing. They are beyond a regular South Indian restaurant. I do still have some of the amazement left in me about the playing of the soup they served. Service is wonderful too. Excellent job.
Calicut Notebook is the place to be. I've been an avid Calicut Notebook customer for more than 3 years now and can't get enough. Great food, even better hospitality with decent ambience.
Some of my favorite dishes include the Bamboo biriyani, the hamoor ilayil tawa and the non-veg meals during lunch. There has never been an occasion wherein I haven't been satisfied with any of theses dishes.
I also have had the guys at the Notebook cater to my home for parties and the guests have always asked me from where the food is - they always leave with a smile and with the calicut Notebook number.
Special shout out to Mr Deepak at the Qusais branch who has always greeted me and my family/friends with a huge smile and with the best that Calicut has to offer. He is another huge reason of me wanting to go back for some great 'homely' fusion food.
Keep up the great work Calicut Notebook.
The quantity of the mutton biryani was, according to me, lesser compared to the price.
After ordering the bamboo biryani and the way it was served I was disappointed with the garnishing of the mutton biryani.
Overall taste was good and the butter chicken had a south indian taste to it which is very different and sweeter from the actual north indian butter chicken. Tasted really good with the Porotta.
The Pandanas chicken was sweet and very soft and by far my fav of all dishes however it was one tiny piece wrapped in a leaf.
Overall the service of the staff is very good and in the beginning we were served juice and some kind of make your own paan which got me very interested.
I was hesitant ordering from this restaurant looking at its rating on Zomato. However ordered food based on 2 friend recommendations and we did not repent it.
All the food we ordered tasted yum.
Starters

Blanket fish fillet 4/5 - this was flavorful as well but a lil dry

We have gone to this place as one of my friend was giving birthday treat so he has ordered lot of dishes at this place, taste is good most of the dish have Malabar. Good restaurant to go with family we will be surely visit again
Been there with family and friends...it’s a must try restaurant with their special Kerala style delicacies are so mouth watering, spicy and awesome experience to follow with 👍🏾
1 hour back we ordered 8 Beef Roast. But some issues happened in that. Then the manager Mr.Rahul he solved the matters in which a gracious way...Thank you so much Rahul.
And the food was Tremendous....
Tried prawns mango curry n found so yummy.. In fact after completing meal chutty looked as new.. ha ha.. so good it was so the 5 star.. but the other dish mutton Biriyani tasted very average.. Anyway I enjoyed the lunch😊
A fusion restaurant from Kerala. Neatly served and quality food. It is mandatory to start off with the famous pandana’s chicken which has chicken covered in green leaf and gives you a whole different taste. For Main course, I would recommend their signature butter naan and butter chicken curry. Its the yummiest i have ever tried. They have some really tasty fish dishes, fried and grilled as well. Nothing to select for drinks as they do not have much varieties but definitely should try their Banana crepe for desserts. Reasonable pricing and attentive service from the staff.

Amazing food and service by Calicut. Loved the Pazhassi salad which was served complimentary to us, rolled and explained by the staff there. Tried their daily special which had Mango Chicken Curry along with Kerela Porota and Appam. Chocolate Beach, the name sounded fancy and so was the platter looked when served. I would strongly recommend this place for a nice weekend dinner.
Beautiful experience! Was fascinated by some of the starters!✨
Tired their (Keralite) Lunch meal! Loved the accuracy of salt and spice on every side dish🍛💕
Best for the tastebuds of patriotic keralites😉💟
They have everything a foodie could ask for, prepared with that special Kerala touch to it. Vegetarians and Non Vegetarians alike will enjoy the Kerala Cuisine at Calicut Note Book. I have been a regular at this restaurant at their Hor Al Anz branch as well as their Lulu Stadium Qusais Branch.
We love Calicut for our Indian food cravings! We order almost every week! Although there has been a few mix ups with our orders sometimes I would still recommend them.
Nice restaurant with the usual Calicut notebook style ..food is good as well , typical Kerala food and this place has a parking area too ...staffs are ok and weekends can get very crowded .. we ordered chicken grill Kerala style which was nice and usual Kerala meals with natholi fry ..was good
We went to Calicut Notebook on busy Thursday evening and were quickly accomodated. The staff at first interaction came across as very warm and friendly. The ambience of the restaurant is quiet nice. They have some Malayalam music playing in the background which I couldn't understand but being since I love music it was nice.
The service was quick and very sincere. Would specially like to mention Mr. Jamshed, who was attending to us was extremely friendly and helpful.
Despite being a busy time at the restaurant the orders didn't take much time.
I loved the food and the service and will definitely go back again.!
No doubt you get authentic Indian cuisine food there ! Worst craving come when you see people around you eating before your order is being served . It’s a busy place in weekends! I would surely recommend this place ! Yum yum!
This place is good for all kerala dishes. Poratta and Egg masala are the favorite along with gobi manchurian. Mango salad also tastes good..
Calicut note book quasis excellent service ..we had sea food soup which was excellent and staters blanket fish some think different from normal staters and thai grill prawns... worth visiting ( reasonable 🤟🏼🤟🏼🤟🏼)
If you are a fan of authentic kerala dishes and spices , this is the right place to visit. One of our favourite places ever. Once in every week we hit this place. Just tell them what kind of food you are looking for and they suggest the best food ever. Mouth watering kanthari thava is our all time favourite starter. Tonight the branch manager Rahul suggested us to try the Smokey grilled chicken as one of the starters and we loved it. Tossed with kerala spices and honey. Yummilicious it was. Must try one ! I'm sure you won't regret it. Go for it.
Excellent staffs and service. Lot of parking available too.
Best restaurant in terms of quality, service and taste.
Have visited this restaurant twice.
Yummy juices are provided as starters and are free of cost. Have ordered parotas, gravies and beef ulathiyadhu, all of them were absolutely delicious.
I recommend this restaurant for people who love south indian dishes.
Busy place during weekends , we waited to get the table .which is a sign of good restaurant.
Waiting was worth as the food and service was quick food taste amazing.as the name suggests it's Kerala cuisine with its authenticity.
