I wanted to visit Senara and try the fish and chips as I had read so many excellent reviews. I have to say the whole experience was amazing. The fish and chips were the best I've ever had and I doubt I can eat them anywhere else now! I also tried the creme brûlée. It was so light and absolutely delicious. The staff were professional and friendly and made the visit an extremely enjoyable experience. I'm going back to try the rest of the menu!

My favourite quirky hidden gem on the Palm, I've been to quite a few Birthday parties at Senara and their Chef is sooooooo good, and accommodating for the party. Honestly ,everything I have ate here has been so good!! I was shocked when I saw Jerk Chicken on the menu. Desserts are great too! Yum.
Visited the Restaurant on a Late Weekend Evening for Cocktails and Dessert ... what can I say but WOW !!! loved the drinks... loved the dessert...friendly staff and great vibes... will definitely be back to try out other items on the menu! :)

Had a really good takeaway from here. Ordered small cod & chips and scampi & chips with a side of curry sauce. Best we’ve had in over 6 years. The chips were perfect! PERFECT! The curry sauce could be a bit tastier and thicker but that’s just a preference. The scampi (breaded fried prawns) were so good! We ordered home delivery , fast service and good food. We recently went down to eat in their new venue with friends, which was great, it’s nice to have a beer with the fish n chips.
What a steak dinner. Coming from NZ it's hard to find a decent sized steak meal at a good price. However I'm happy to say I've found one here. The buttery mash, roast mushroom, blue cheese and beef tenderloin and ju. Yum yum yum. Followed up with a crunchie cheesecake. Give me more give me more give me more
Best possible fish and chips I've had in Dubai. Fresh fish, crispy chip's, proper mushy peas and homemade Tartare sauce. Seasoned well. Will be back and forth. My waistline won't like it. Totally worth it though.

It was my first visit to Senara, which I would describe as a bright and airy casual dining venue with great views looking out over the water and neighbouring villas on the palm.
There was a small outdoor area and spacious interior. The wait staff were helpful and we didn't have to wait too long for our dishes to arrive. We ordered Sea Bass, Fish and Chips, Burger and Chips and Pie and Chips. There is also a childrens menu, crayons and high chairs available.
All meals were tasty and well presented but I would recommend taking a starter or extra sides if you order the Sea Bass as the portion was not very filling.
It's a perfect spot to chill. Great ambience, I feel cozy. They have decent food like beetroot salad, chicken keiv, the tenderloin is perfect!. I love the music, good choices of beverages, the view is amazing and the staff is so friendly.

Senara is a quiet, waterside restaurant in Palm West, the Palm Jumeirah with beautiful views of the marina and the large villas on the Palm. The outside area is well-shaded with large patio umbrellas and picnic tables so large groups can easily find somewhere to sit. Between May to September, you may find outside seating difficult due to the summer sun. The inside is modern and spacious. You will want to book in advance if you are coming in a large group and you want to sit inside. The large windows lets light flood in with views of the same vista from the inside. The décor includes polish concrete, shiny brass/copper accents and teal.
We ordered a few items to try the menu – I ordered a few starters & we ordered a main to share:
TUNA TARTATE: this is a generous, light, subtle starter with cube of fresh raw tuna, watermelon, feta cheese, sliced radish & microherbs & pea shoots. There is an Asian dip / dressing on the side which is needed as otherwise this dish can be a bit flat. It is a healthy, enjoyable starter. The watermelon was not completely ripe which means it was not as sweet as you might expect (which may be deliberate given it is paired with tuna). The feta balances the sweet and the salt in the dish. 3/5
PRAWN COCKTAIL: this is not something I would ever order for myself but it was recommended. This is surprisingly good! It is a decent portion with shredded lettuce folded with hard-boiled egg & small prawns (better than it sounds) bound together by the marie rose sauce. The sauce is not heavy or cloy; it’s light and fresh. The large prawns and soft-boiled egg on top brings more substance to the dish. 5/5
SHRIMP, TUNA & LOBSTER ROLLS: lobsters rolls are popular now with dedicated restaurants. Again, this is another generous starter given the bread rolls are quite filling; I struggled to finish this dish together with everything else we ate. The sauce is heavy so you lose the flavour of the shrimp, tuna or lobster – I could not actually tell you which one was which as a result. 2/5
PIE OF THE DAY: this was a chicken & mushroom pie together with crushed peas & chunky chips. This is a main course starter. The peas are lightly pureed with some peas still partially whole which brings much needed texture to the side dish. The chunky fries are Jenga-sized substantial fries which makes it harder for them to achieve a crunch. The pie is FINALLY a pie with pastry all the way around: this is exceptionally difficult to find in Dubai. Most pies here appear to be stews with a pastry lid nestled on top. The filling is delicious and moorish; the pastry is flaky. 3/5
Service is friendly, fast (even when sitting outside) and attentive. We appreciate recommendations from the staff and challenging us to try something else vs what we wanted to order because they believe we are ordering too much of one kind of item. Some people will not appreciate that but we are OK with it.
Parking is ample and in front of the apartment complex in which the restaurant is based.
The outdoor area is nice but small. The view is of the boats parked around the palm.
Service was great and our waiter was very helpful.
I got the boneless chicken wings which were very good. The portion was huge.

Had been following their social media for a while and decided to visit one Sat afternoon for their roast. It’s a seaside restaurant with al fresco dining and in the far distance you can see the wheel at JBR.
Loved the decor and the friendly service. Would be nice if there was more of a buzzy Atmosphere.
The chicken wings are not hot enough in terms of spice. Weird that they are boneless too but the menu doesn’t mention that.
The manager was kind enough to let me have chicken & beef for my roast as I couldn’t decide which one I wanted.
The chicken sausage rolls were honestly my highlight. Freshly baked, flaky and well seasoned chicken mince. I’d order them again in a heart beat.
Perfect place for afternoon chill or sunset .. to take a date, to impress a tourist that you know somewhere away from the other "famous" touristic areas..
Seat outside and enjoy the breeze or inside and listen to the live band.
As for the food, i tried the Fish & Chips, and it was very good. Service also was professional and friendly.
With a beautiful fit out and some great little details, this is a bit of a hidden gem on the Palm. The food is done really well and the service spot on.
The highlight was definitely the slow cooked beef check was everything that you want it to be, deep flavors, soft and complimented by some lovely sides.
All in all definitely worth checking out if you're on the Palm.

I have never had better chips after 6 years in Dubai. A great effort and the crispy bits were authentic. I will be back and that's a certainty. A shame you can't eat in though. Chips are a very personal thing, we all find a local chippy we want in UK and stick to it, so of course this is not 100% what you want but in Dubai it's the best I've eaten, personally. Saves me waiting till I go back home to eat some Chips 😉
Went here for breakfast with a friend after a few recommendations from those who live around that area. I also spotted the restaurant on social media.
I ordered the avo on toast with feta cheese and bacon on the side. Both were tooooo good I've been obsessing over the bacon tho, its crunchy and no fat, its perfect.
My friend had the full English breakfast and she loved it. Literally left her plate empty. She mentioned that the sausages reminded her of ones she'd have back at home. So fresh and good.
Oh and we had smoothies made on the spot by the awesome bartender David. Honestly, just go down there and try em yourself, super refreshing.
Overall, its a chilled out place with great food, great prices, amazing staff and just good vibes. Would definitely visit again.

Tried the new breakfast menu at Senara and I loved it!
They have freshly made smoothies and juices which go perfectly in the morning with your meal!!
Had the avocado with feta cheese with a side of poached eggs, it was really good! I loved the mix of feta cheese and avocado, its one of my favourite dishes!
We also got the granola with fresh berries and yoghurt, it was also great and the berries portion was quite generous! I just wish the plate had more granola!
To top it off we got the chocolate nutella, the portion was just right to share with someone after a main! It came with chocolate bits on top, which combined with the warm pancakes melt perfectly in your mouth! I wish it came with chocolate sauce instead of syrup though!!

We had tried a new italian beer named birra morreti which was a decent one... i just loved the slow cooked cheeky beef, next time that would be a sure dish on my plate.

I had a dinner with my colleagues and i have tried to order the fish and chips with my amazing ice tea drink, ;) together with the tasty dessert which i really love to try it again with some friends, i am looking forward to have more dishes to try in this restaurant and feel the amazing sea view ambiance which you will definitely enjoy your stay., i am looking forward for more exciting dishes that they will serve. :)
From reading some of the reviews on here, I was slightly skeptical about going to Senara for their Saturday Roast as people commented that they found it expensive but I'm so glad we did. The roast was HUGE! We were a group of 6 and only 1 of us could finish the whole plate.
The meat was perfectly cooked meat (with all the trimmings) alongside two of the biggest yorkshire puddings I've ever seen and best of all - endless gravy! The staff were attentive and friendly and we never had empty glasses. It was recommended we try the baked cheesecake - it was delicious!
All in all a wonderful experience and we will definitely be returning.

A beautiful place at the palm with the amazing view . A right choice to sit outdoors during winters. Had been there on a weekend . The place was hardly crowded . We were greeted pleasantly by the staff who let us choose where we wanted to be seated . We were served some bread with beetroot sauce and dried tomato , both the dips were awesome.Had couple of beers and cocktails to start with .Food we tried large bucket of grilled shrimps which had 10 jumbo shrimps was very delicious . We also had a large bucket of calamari fries which was average . Then we tried their posh fish and chips served with tartar sauce and potato wedges. This tasted very good but quite oily . Then the last try on food was fisherman s pie which is a must try . It had mashed potatoes, fresh fish and cheese. Very well done and I simply loved it . Cudnt end the dinner without dessert so we had baked cheesecake which was pretty good . All orders were served within 15-20 minutes. Very attentive staff . This is more a seafood concept place depicting with its location , ambience and the view . Loved the visit here and I shall definitely repeat .

We’re all for homegrown concepts here at WhereMyFoodAt. Moreover, restaurants that pay special homage to the heritage of UAE is something that tingles our senses and excites us. Although Senara doesn’t fall in the fine dining bracket, it surely is one of the most classiest seaside cafes we’ve been to yet.What to eat:
It would be a mistake if you dine at Senara and not try some of their signature British inspired seafood dishes. Like the Lobster Roll for instance that tasted as good as it looked. The ratio of lobster to bread was perfect and the way the lobster was cooked was commendable. The drizzle of jalapeno sauce added the perfect amount of spice and balanced the sweetness of the lobster as well. Another must try seafood dish would most definitely have to be the Posh Fish and Chips. This dish has successfully managed to win the hearts of all of Senera’s diners who’ve tried it and we can see why. The perfectly flaky Atlantic Cod encased within a crunchy batter tasted absolutely divine! Served with thrice cooked hand cut chips, mashed peas and tartar sauce, this dish is a definite winner in our eyes.If you aren’t too keen on seafood, make sure to try their Scotch Hen’s Egg that serves as the perfect snack or bar food. The eggs were perfectly soft and runny and the meat was well seasoned and flavored well. If you do managed to pay a visit to Senara on a Saturday, then you ought to try their Saturday British Roast that’s literally fit for a king! Pair it with your favorite house beverage and you’re good to go!For dessert, we ordered the Sticky Toffee Pudding with Vanilla Ice Cream. The beautifully presented Banoffee Eton mess, which is a combination of two of our favorite desserts definitely stole the show for us. The flavors of banana, toffee and crunchy meringue seemed to marry effortlessly well together.What we liked:
The decor, ambiance and vibe of the restaurant seemed very calm and relaxed. Senara could be perfect for a date night, a casual coffee catch up session or every a family get together. Also, the view of the sea and yachts sailing across during day time is quite breath taking.What we did not like:
Due to its odd location, the restaurant seemed a bit too empty for a weekend. Which is a shame since the food seemed way above average.
We went for lunch today (Friday) and apart from another table we were the only ones there, although a few more tables turned up as we left. The food was okay, we ordered 3 small plates which were the scotch eggs, whitebait and gnocchi, the gnocchi was very tasty, the scotch eggs were under seasoned which was a shame. The whitebait was pretty standard, for a seafood joint I expected more, it would have been better with something like a garlic aioli dip on the side. For the 3 small dishes, 3 bottles of Heineken, a lemonade and Victorian mojito the bill was just shy of 400 AED, the restaurant also added 35AED in service charge to the bill, which for a table of two on a Friday lunchtime was a bit cheeky in my opinion. All in all food okay, but overpriced for what it is. Would go back again but maybe just for drinks.

I and my hubby went here for a special night with some great food and we surely were not disappointed Delicious food..Superb ambiance and Friendly service! This place is a must visit. We ordered the Herb Crusted Cod which came along with yummy mashed potatoes served with grilled asparagus. The fish was nice and soft and went well with the lemon butter sauce. Also got the Surf and Turf..some great lobster served with a tender chicken breast complimented by mushroom sauce. Awesome food.
The Shiraz went perfectly well with the great food. Finally came the dessert..Cheesecake Creme Brulee! A perfect fusion of the cheesecake with the creme brulee which was well presented. This was Heavenly!
The logo of the restaurant is very interesting too and the decor is totally chilled out and cozy. Thank you to the staff of the restaurant for the impeccable service.

We ordered the Herb Crusted Cod.. Surf & Turf ...and for desserts - Cheesecake Creme Brulee. I totally fell in love with their lobster dish. Very well cooked. The food overall was tasty and made well, no doubt!

The highlight of the night was the Shiraz Wine experience!
Overall, extravaganza redefined!!

Great Saturday Roast!!!Having been living in Dubai for many years, and admittedly not feeling the need to write many reviews, I have had the urge to write a review on my new local 'Senara' on the Palm. We have been living here on the Palm for the past two years and have visited this restaurant a couple of times over the past few months.We came for the roast after trying other locations on the palm, I can honestly say hand on heart that this was the best and most full-filling meal we have probably had for a very long while. We all had the Roast Beef, (they do children's portions also). Good slices of medium-rare sirloin with extra Yorkshire Puddings, excellent gravy (big one for me and the family) and even little helpings of the classic cauliflower cheese. Service was great, waiters that can hold conversations is a great stepping stone, and added to the whole experience. The restaurant manager Matthew was very hands on and engaging, and suggested some good drink recommendations for us. Overall a great meal and we will be back next week for another great roast, and on the back of our last meal probably will try the rest of the menu. Great Job Senara!!!
Great to find a good chippy that delivers! Fish was lovely & fresh. Mushy peas and curry sauce made the meal for us. We also had a chip barm & a deep fried mars bar! Everything was just like a good old fashioned chip shop at home - even the packaging it comes in. Love the fish shaped vinegar containers. Will definitely be ordering again.
Finally, REAL British chips! The chip butty was just the comfort food I was craving, real chippy chips with tomato ketchup just like home. Also ordered a small fish just to try it. Soft white fish and crispy batter. What a find this place is!
Great hidden gem on the palm.
Food, service and location ticked all boxes! I tried many of the dishes and all tasted great: basket of fried calamari, avo and grilled shrimps salad with watermelon, beef carpaccio as well as Scottish oysters- all were delicious and most importantly fresh!
For mains, we ordered the herb crusted cod and the roast beef with roasted potatoes: the cod comes with lemon butter sauce and grilled asparagus, the gravy made it perfectly moist! The roast beef is juicy, full of flavors and perfectly cooked, enjoyed every bite of it.
The experience was truly enjoyable with a hospitable team and attentive staff.
I moved to Dubai 2 months ago and I visited a lot of places as part of getting to know the city and I've been to Senara 3 times mostly on their soulful Fridays.
The atmosphere is utterly friendly, the staff are helpful and food is wow, their grazing menu is variant and fits any taste. It is now the first place we think of when me and my friends want to have great food and lovely times.
Since music affects my judgment big time! One of the main reasons for me to return is the classy music taste of their DJ!
They have regular happy hours and great deals. The location is really convenient in the heart of Dubai with available parking lots.

Finally a Cod & Chips from a proper chippy! Cod was fresh, with a crispy batter; mushy peas were freshly 'mushed' and the curry sauce was slightly sweet and not at all spicey. All very good.
However, no tartar sauce and no sachets of vinegar was disappointing (we'd ran out of sarsons at home). Portions weren't generous either. The chips had 'sweated' a bit in the polystyrene wrapper, if only they would switch to traditional paper wrap you'd expect in the UK. A bit of a shame as you cpuld tell the chips were spot on. Definitely recommend this place though as the the best chippy this side of dubai, by far.
Although the place was really nice and food and service was very good, it was very empty so lacking of ambiance.
The prices are not helping for such an empty place as well.
However if they manage to fill the place with a good crowd, then i could easily give 4 or even 4.5.
Everything we had was tasty but especially oysters were huge and delicious.
While at the palm and looking for a sea food option came across @senara.dxb which from the name thought it will be an arabic sea food place which turned out to be closer to an english/ european sea food place.
The place has nice view in the palm marina and the food over all was good , i think its worth a try :)

I had the lobster roll as a starter and the beef roast as my main and I honestly couldn't fault either of the two! Portion size was more than enough and fairly priced in comparison to the taste and excellence of the food. I would 100% recommend if you want high quality food with a scenic view and chilled atmosphere.
My inner seafood queen emerged again so me and my husband decided to go to the 'new kid on the block'.
What I liked about Senara the most was the casual feel and perfect view of the harbor.

This was actually my second visit to Senara and it's a hidden gem! The fish and chips are a little taste of home and the Saturday roast is not to be missed. My favourite dishes on the menu are the desserts. Different specials each week including peanut butter and jelly donuts, smores cake and Jaffa cheesecake - make sure you leave room. The location is great, and the terrace is right on the marina. Just a shame it's too hot to sit outside at the moment. We will be back!
I was told I would enjoy this restaurant by friends and they were not wrong. Loved the ambiance, the service, and of course the food is really good.
The appetizers were amazing with good portion sizes, so that you can share. We all chose different main courses and we were all really happy!

Nestled on the palm at the waters edge, Senara has the most idyllic location and the sunset makes for some great dinnertime viewing. The concept is homegrown in the UAE and the chef brings a British flair to the menu. Senara’s signature dishes include an array of fresh fish dishes daily. We tried the delicious fish & chips and it did not disappoint. The fish was fresh and the batter had a delectable crunch, accompanied by mushy peas and chips. Had it not been for the paradisical setting I would have felt right at home. The menu boasts buckets of muscles and oysters and a mouth-watering lobster linguini. We sampled the desserts and they were all delicious, especially the baked cheesecake and if you have a real sweet-tooth then the sticky date pudding is a worthy treat.

Came here for breakfast on a "minor" hangover. The location is on one of the marinas of the palm. The food offering on the menu is quite various and is very appealing when reading it. I had the full breakfast - the portion is perfect, the eggs were cooked to perfection and it was all tasty. The music was chilled as I like it - I must definitely come here for diner and drinks.

Great and relaxing restaurant overlooking a marina on west side of The Palm. Attended a birthday brunch there which went really well and staff were very proactive to attend to our needs.

Had a nice breakfast here recently. They have a new menu with lots of healthy options. As a Palm resident, it’s nice to have a local weekend breakfast spot that’s open early.

Love this place for breakfast, can bring my boy beasty and food is great. They have a cool spritz hour from 5 to 8, can't complain about cheap spritz!

We visited Senara on Tuesday as a special treat for my husband's Birthday. They took great care of us and the food and cocktails were superb. Mike said that the beef tenderloin, served with red wine sauce was the best he had ever tasted! My lobster thermidor was very fresh and perfectly cooked. Many thanks to Gill and Dan for the Birthday surprise, it was a perfect evening, we will back very soon...can't wait to try out the 'Catch and Cook' too!
