loved their biriyani & dancing tea.
Has got a wide varieties in Menu. Starters are good, especially the fish tawa starter.
Takes time to deliver and place is mostly crowded
The food here is amazing specially keralla parotha. The mutton biryani was tasty and well cooked. The quantity is good enough and reasonable price. The food was served hot and all safety measures were taken. I always like to dine in here when I am in this area.

Salkara is the place to go for excellent Kerala good and a good family ambiance. This outlet is located in the outside food court of Lulu gusais. The meals were excellent and the chicken chukka with parota was amazing. This place is highly recommended.
Got the egg roast, egg curry and kerala roti. The portions were good and tasted really good. Also it’s super super reasonable.
Kottayam chicken curry was awesome combination with puttu.. also tried it with porotta.. it’s was amazing.. good service and nice ambience..
Such a nice experience with salkara team,I appreciating for dedication, I am very happy with salkara .at the same time zomato app is not a user friendly while I am using the app I got a mistake order, actually I need home delivery but I got take away order then I call salkara restaurant and they give me home delivery. Thank you so much
Myself a loyal customer of this restaurant. My fav place for the best biryani in Dubai. Recently I ordered lollipop it was bit of sweet and dry which I didn't like. Next day their team called up and asked to give the feedback of the same. As soon as they got to know that I didn't like it, they sent one more variety of Lollipop which was juicy and perfect taste. I would recommend others to try it as well.
I have never seen any restaurant chain giving so much importance to the customer taste and preference. Hats off to the team for maintaining brand and quality of food. They also delivery food very quickly if you call them up doesn't matter if it is one biryani or more items. By these I got to know they value customers a lot. Thank you for keeping up the best standards. Keep growing. All the best. Love your food 😘
One of the best fish fry meals in town, the food sated both my heart and tummy...Thankyou for making my afternoon blissful...😍
Good Kerala food and very much economical
Ordered meals with fish fry for my wife and it was well upto the mark. I had thenga chor(coconut rice) with kunjipori (chicken) but i must say the rice didnt meet my expectation but the chicken scored and over all the combo was priced well.
Delivered well on time. Fab place to try kerala cuisine.
Salkara being a part of paragon is a gold standard for kerala cuisine in dubai.
Service: good
Vibe: good
Recommendations: loved the nadan curries and porotta, would keep coming back
As always the fish curry meals are great along with Kunju Mathi fry. The delivery was quick. The food was delivered hot and in very good packing.
Excellent chicken biriyani, a must try
If you are a south indian cuisine lover like us, living anywhere near Qusais, then this is the place to visit. This place satisfies your cravings for south Indian food. This time around they were having a Kerlite wedding themed menu which brings out how Authentic weddings take place in Kerala. For the appetizers we ordered their Kozithengapal grilled chicken, this succulent lip smacking chicken is so delicious it will leave you wanting for more. An amazing blend of flavors and the chicken is grilled to perfect. We also had their Podichemmen ularthiyathu prawns which are cooked prawns tossed in a sweet yet spicy sauce and served with onions and other vegetables. A must try! For main course we orderd their Malabari Tawa crab, which is super spicy and really delicious. However there is very little crab meat to go for. Its mainly for one person! For rice we ordered their chemmeen Chorus which is basically cooked biryani with prawns in them. Dont get it me wrong its delicious and has a really good flavor to it and goes well with the Mango Fish curry on the side. The Tangy and sweet mango curry was also one of our favorites, it goes well with Porattas as well as Rice. For desserts we ordered, their special coconut pudding which was creamy and so delicious, we also ordered a mini falooda which was pretty delightful and tasty. For drinks we ordered, fresh orange juice, watermelon juice and a mango and passion fruit juice which all were refreshing and Delicious.
Service was very good... had mutton soup and nethali fry as starters... soup was average.. but fry was tasty n yummyy....
One of the best restaurants for people who love Kerala food... No matter in which outlet you step in, the staffs are friendly and will give you suggestions to place the order.... The food what they severe is amazing.... The restaurant is very spacious, neat & clean .... Have visited this place several times and neva disappointed (guess I might have covered almost all the dishes with chicken in their menu card 😋 )
Salkara in malyalam means a ‘Hearty Welcome’ ♥️
If you are craving for some Malabari Cuisine & you are in and around Nahda, this is the place to head to!!! .
.
Mind you, get there early in case you are going for dinner as you may have to wait in queue to get a seat & then get served.....
.
.
Right from the food, to the staff, to the ambience everything is just so welcoming & nice!! .
.
We tried their Mango Fish in Chatti curry & we tell you it was finger licking good😋
Restaurant in Lulu hypermarket with nice ambience.
Food which we ordered was really tasty.
We had Beef vattichathu, Payyoli kozhi porichathu, wheat porotta and normal porotta.
And for dessert Tender coconut pudding.
Beef Vattichathu was very less in quantity but delectable ( after seeing the price we feel they gave us only half)
Payyoli chicken fry was juicy and delish with grated coconut
Coconut pudding had the taste of tender coconut thick and creamy not very sweet but delicious.
I would say it was really wonderful experience.
Please write the name with the picture in your meau for ordering online
Their seafood dishes are spot on. Their prawns mango curry is finger licking. Gets well along with porota, appam or rice.
Staffs are good and delivery is always earlier than the time.
Very poliet staff, awesome service. The restaurent manager is very polite and cordial, we noticed how he prioritized every customer who were waiting inspite of long queues on a weekend we visited salarka for lunch. The food is yummiliscious, well presented and hygienic with mouthwatering authentic kerela cuisine. Love love love and more respect for the salkara team.
A proper restaurant outside within the Lulu Hypermarket premises, this place is huge with ample seating. We were around this area one weekend and decided to indulge in some fish and prawns which taste great when made Kerala style. We were early and got place to sit without a wait however the place got pretty crowded soon.
For the starters we called for the a portion of Chicken Purattiyathu - the Kerala version of Chicken 65 that is crispy fried chicken. We also tried a portions of spicy prawn served with dried coconut and chillies. These were jumbo prawns were cooked butterfly style (cut in the center) and in the shell. The prawns were extremely fresh and were spicy and hot.
In the mains we had a portion of the King Fish Salkara Mango Curry with porotta and appam. Mango curry goes very well with appams and this one was on point as well. The fish was fresh and we relished it.
Us friends have been here quite a number of times, because of the good food they offer. Huge place so you almost never have to wait in line. Service is quick and friendly. The food is served fresh and hot. I always enjoy the Lemon Grilled Chicken, which is perfectly marinated and so delicious. For mains, the Fish Mango Curry is highly recommended and the Chicken Chettinad is also quite good. The parathas are so fresh that you just cannot stop. Amazing Kerala cuisine
It was one of those days when hangry levels were on the verge of exploding so we stopped by Salkara at Lulu Hypermarket and went all out! We ordered…
Homestyle Chicken Curry – This curry truly was “homestyle” and paired brilliantly with ghee rice and pappadum.
Fish Molly – Rich in coconut creamy flavor with succulent pieces of fish.
Boneless Chicken Fry – Super crispy and a little bit spicy (which we like!)
Appam, Kerala Porotta & Wheat Coin Porotta – Kerala porotta was nice and fluffy and we kept ordering more! The appam was piping hot and just melts in your mouth.
Special mention to that little hero side onion salad, it just cuts through thick gravies ever so smoothly.

The mango curry was super yummy, I feel like keep on eating. It was very tempting. The fried prawns were also good. The juices were also good.
We always have the lunch thali... My husband and I enjoy going there when we are away for work... and especially hungry... It's very well served and satisfying. The service is great as well... even our one year old little girl would enjoy the food!
One of the best Kerala restaurants in Dubai.
I am a big fan of biryani and will always try every possible places for biryani.
As always, I ordered for their Kerala style Chicken Biryani and it was super delicious.
The service was good with affordable prices.
Very frequent visitor of this place esp for Friday lunch.
Bit of a waiting time during this period but is certainly worth the wait.
Good for keralite families and guests coming frm south visiting Dubai.
Food variety, quality and quantity is good and cost friendly.
Been here couple of times for lunch. They have fish meals for 12 Dhms which is amazing. Also their South Indian style biryani taste great. They have a good ambience as well and definitely food is worth the money.
Have veen here so many times... Their food is so very tasty... Just authentic kerala food... Their puddings especially elaneer (tender coconut) pudding is my favourite. #sanaashfaq #theexploringmommy Salkara Restaurant
We ordered take-away from here yesterday. The Calicut chicken curry with appam and parothas. The food was Great and good value for money.. Authentic Malabar taste.
Omg the taste was awesome. Must try south indian restaurant . Quantity is okay , we cannot say its huge . Price also reasonable. We had chicken and mutton biriyani from there. As always they never compromise on taste. Real malabar biriyani . But we were in queue for 1 hour to get a chance to enter inside . Thats fine because more people are going there for their taste and everyone is ready to wait .
Have been to Salkara n number of times since years but never wrote a review. Famous for their authentic Kerala cuisine mostly Friday’s we end up here. Chicken biriyani, Beef roast and Kerala paratha is our customary weekend lunch menu along with Tea. Sipping tea along with spicy food is our tradition. Their biriyani never fails to impress 👌🏻. Accompanied with pappadam, pickles and raita it’s just finger licking good. Love their appam with Chicken curry too... one of my favorite combo 😋. They have quite huge seating capacity and weekend seems always full. The staff is friendly and very attentive. Salkara has never ever disappointed us 🤘🏻🙌🏻.
#keralacuisine #biriyani #foodie #mydubai #dubaifood
Visited couple of times and the place was always busy. But each time the service and food was very good. Every dish was perfect and quantity was sufficient.
The food is almost faultless.Thought the biriyani tasted a little different from my previous visit. The weekends tend to be crowded and service could be little slow
Been visiting this place for almost 9 years. Almost once a week at least!! Has never failed to disappoint, from the quality, taste and exceptional service. One of the best managed hotel institutions!!!
If you are in hungry on friday dont go...because of awesome taste we need to wait for 1 hour.
But same quality & qulaity will be provided by thier free delivery.
If you really want to taste ethnic south indian food its a must visit restaurant. Hospitality no words. In one word "awesome"
Best dum biriyani ever. Must try if you love typical malabar biriyani. We ordered for mutton biriyani. Masala, rice everything was so perfect.
Porotta and beef ? Go straight ahead ! Even my non Indian colleagues love it here ! The best Kerala restaurant in dubai ! Personal opinion ! Maybe they could re do interiors now !
Had lunch from salkara
Tried
Biriyani - very good
Ghee rice - good
Chicken curry coconut - good
Fish tawa fry - very good
Overall 4/5
Recomended
I specially go to this restaurant to have soup . The hot and sour vegetables soup is delicious. They serves many South Indian dishes . The South Indian thalli is also one of good speard there . And faluda is top don't miss the mango falooda it's delicious
This restaurant serves the authentic malabar biriyani which tastes awesome!! Also the breakfast and tea is extremely good. The fish chatty curry and appam is a delight for sea food lovers!
The food is amazing and has much less oil compared to other restaurants. Biryani is just amazing and the meals are one of the best. Hope it will hold its standard ✊🏻
Its very hygienic place with lots of customers. Food is very little for stomach with lots of variety of Dishes with different taste will go again
I love this restaurant for their authentic dishes which included veggie cuisines. Recently I had vegetable biriyani which was not that spicy unlike usual malbari biriyani. But you know I love it in that way.. Spicy.. Tangy.. 😋
Great Kerala style food. But most of the items finish pretty soon during busy hours. Main course and Gravies are great but I didn't like the dessert much also the sweet dishes were little too oily
Their meals are simply delicious. And the malabar dum biriyani for which they are famous is really yummy.
Ambience is also good.
Altogether it is a good option after a tired shopping in the nearby Lulu mall.
Thisnusednto be an open seating restaurant inside lulu food court area. Now it's a stand alone restaurant. They serve good food. I keep visiting This place.
We had
1. Vellayappom and
2. Egg roast
3. Coffee
Food - Did not disappoint. Easily the best vellayappom I've had in Dubai. The egg roast, especially the masala used it in was very good and delicious.
There are ample number of tables inside and the service too was prompt and good.
There's ample parking available given that it is located next to the stadium Lulu, which has a big parking lot.
I would definitely recommend anyone who wants to try out naadan Kerala dishes, to give Salkara a try.
