Holiday Inn is a staple budget hotel throughout the world. In Dubai, it’s no different with a whopping 7 hotels. Muchachas is located near Safa Park, very close to Business Bay and a metro stop from Dubai Mall. So it’s in a super convenient location!. Muchachas is so easy to right on the ground floor of the hotel you can walk right in. As soon as you enter you notice the bright blue, yellow, green, pink and white pastel colours and the tables are set up in with garden tables and benches. Although it is quite cozy, it still has an open space and hanging plants. You feel at ease, in the space.
Had been at this mexican eatery with my wife Debarpita Das last weekend. Firstly the canteen type setup and ambiance was really nice and relaxing. The staff were extremely courteous and helpful. The food was delicious and excellent. It was our first experience with Mexican food and we were really delighted to have made the choice. It was a fixed menu meal. Each dish was unique and tasty and very well presented. Highly recommend place.
Love their tacos and Margeritas
The food is delicious. The tacos are tiny so you’ll need to order a few. The margaritas are spectacular. The decor is bright and cheery. All it’s missing is a patio and we’d be there all winter.
Bright and pleasant atmosphere lovely ambience nice seating arrangement
Good service
Besides the menu with mostly appetizers
We also had main course from the menu
The sweet and creamy street style corn served in the buffet is delicious
Also tortilla chips and churros cinnamon sticks and apple taquitos all enjoyable
Food we ordered included
We ordered Beef platter consisting of beef fajitas and tamarind grilled short ribs and chicken platter with Pollo Ala Parilla
Berryland ad Caribbean tea is refreshing
We enjoyed the brunch fiesta
Muchachas Dubai Muchachas Rest
We have taken Friday Brunch, some thing different and pure Mexican food. Avocado now dominated a prime item and part of meal. So here too. Casual and bright place, specially for winter it is good. Friendly service Corn with sauce was very good. Beef steak was good Cinnamon based thin nachos with chocolate dip delicious.
A nice meal
The food choices are great and the atmosphere is so cozy especially when you are having a great time with friends. Being a non-smoking bar is another factor as I don’t smoke.
All staff are so friendly specially the manager ms crytal .good beverage and good food.
Loved the vibe and ambiance of this restaurant! The business lunch for AED 58 which includes 1 starter + 1 main course + 1 dessert + 1 soft drink is totally worth the money! Loved couple of dishes including the corn on the cob with a Parmesan sauce, guacamole, tacos (beef esp!), salmon main course, brisket with bean rice, and a chicken main with yummy mashed potatoes!
The only thing disappointing for me were the churros but the sauces that came with it were super delicious!
Love this adorable little hidden gem! Definately one you should check out! & for all my ladies they have a ladies night on wednesday! Not only is it 2 free drinks they also give you some delicious snacks! So get your girl gang together and head to this super fun & cute spot! Fabulous food & an amazing ambiance! Definitely recommend the guacamole & the cheese fondue is out of this world! The mocktails are also such a fabulous selection!
Definitely going back here! xx
1. Quality of food: 5/5 ( we went to their Friday brunch which is actually a set menu brunch ) everything was very good and you always get the consistency in the taste.
2. Service: 4/5 (the food was prepared on time, and the waiters were friendly and welcoming)
3. Ambiance : 2/5 (the ambiance is below average , no view , no comfortable chairs even the AC is not cooling in some areas )
If you like the Mexican food and don’t care about the ambiance so it’s definitely the right place but if you’re looking for a fun & classy atmosphere for weekend lunch so it will not be a good option.

Came here for the Friday brunch, this place of a hidden gem if you don’t busy places on the weekend,
Excellent food, drinks and service, the staff are very friendly and polite. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is the not very confortable benches/chairs but would come again for the rest
We visited this place for their Miss Chief Brunch (every friday 12:30-4PM). Come with an appetite for good food and strong margaritas. They don't disappoint.
I got the taco and it was delish! They are generous with their portions, plenty of chicken wings and the good Empanada. I also had Pollo A La Parilla as my meat and it had a really great flavor. Thier Pescado (seared salmon) is a star. These details really stand out and show that this place values quality. They have a good amount of indoor seating which is nice. Highly recommend this place 👍

Now that I have visited Muchachas, I would definitely say that it 100%, can be considered a hidden gem restaurant. Located inside Holiday Inn Express in Safa, I would say that no one would expect to find such a quality restaurant inside the Hotel, and yet, they are sitting there, waiting to be discovered.
This is the cutest Mexican restaurants I've been in this city, and if it wasn't for the simple fact that a friend of mine invited me for a gathering, I don't think I would have known that this place actually existed! Which is probably an extra charm to the place, as it's like a little secret only known to people who heard about it from people who've been there! Yes this sounds like "Fight Club" lol
So what did I end up ordering when I came??? I just stuffed my face with their Guacamole & Tortilla Chips. So fresh, so crispy, so yummy... and with their signature cocktails, I had no room for anything else.
I definitely want to come back to check out their other menu items.
Highly recommended if you are in the area.
The place clearly deserves a better rating. My to go to dish has become the ribs. Great value and fall of the bone quality. Keep up the good work.
We'd gone for the Brunch on a friday and came back all the way with a smile on our faces. Loved the ambience, the food and the customer service. We ordered for 3 drinks which was pretty strong and tasted great along with food which was finger licking amazing! Thank you so much for this great experience!
Frozen margaritas are a must in Muchachas! Good thing they have Margarita Mondays. I always come back for the duck and crab tacos, grilled shortrib and chicken wings are also not to be missed! Also tried their business lunch, and it was of good value - appetizer, main course, dessert and drink for only 58. And a bonus, the place is instagrammable, friendly staff too!
Easy parking, great vibes and great Mexican food. Strait through the Holiday Inn lobby into the large wooden doors. They bring chips and salsa as a starter (how it should be). The tacos are great and there are many options to choose from.
Muchachas is one of best place to eat Mexican food in Dubai.
The restaurant is pretty cute and service is perfect.
We really enjoyed the tacos, they were all very good, especially the chicken one. Guacamole in starters is very tasty.
To be tried!
A hidden and wonderful gems.. have been there very frequently and i love the food and it’s very consistent.. the staff are very friendly.. thank you and see you again soon
The margaritas are AWESOME there! Probably the best that I’ve had so far in Dubai. I really enjoyed the tacos there. I wish they add the crispy tacos with shrimps and guac to the menu , that would make this place heaven for sure
Always enjoy the great Margherittas and the amazingly filling although small tacos. Always have a great time and make sure to come by at least once a month. Thanks for friendly and great service and we will be back.
Went there for the Friday brunch, the location was very busy so it is recommended to book a table in advance.
The atmosphere is nice, the food comes in 4 rounds and was really lovely and freshly prepared, the kitchen chef made extra dishes for the vegetarians among us.
The only slight downside was the service - it seems both the bar and the waiters were understaffed - so ordering any drinks was always a major task taking minimum 20 minutes.
A note: The restaurant was somehow also very stingy and eco-unfriendly with water - on the one side they use paper straws which is great, but serve single 0.5l plastic bottles of water to the tables. So imagine if you get one 0.5l bottle for the whole table how long this lasts and how annoying it is to fight every 5‘ for a new one - would it not be so much easier to serve 1-2 1.5l bottles instead from the start? We would really appreciate this change to larger bottles!
A nice place to dine. Nice food and nice service. First time experienced the mexican food and was a best experience. Would recommend everyone to visit
We conducted our company Iftar at this place, and it was an amazing experience!!! Loved the ambience and the food!! I would recommend the Grilled Tamarid Short Ribs and the Chicken Wings which were the highlights!!! Hands off to the team!! they did a great job!!!
We were here for the iftar and guess what the menu was simply mind blowing ! The options were plentiful with mocktails, starters, main course, desserts. Every single item on the table was simply lip smacking 😋 I haven’t had such good Mexican food in a long long time. To top it, we were welcomed with happy hours on alcohol until 8 pm. Hip ambience, fun decor, and a place for a bunch of friends and family to catch up. A must try 👍🏻
The food here is fantastic. Best quality Mexican food I’ve had in Dubai. It never disappoints and the service is great, especially from Happiness.
Was looking for a different menu for iftar so decided to take the offer of zomato gold muchacha buy one get one free. 4 rounds of food. Choices of chicken, veg and fish. We loved from starters to desserts. Plus there is a good choice of drinks as well. First round guacamole, fruit platter, dates and wings came. I think in the entire menu chicken wings were my favourite. Later rounds we had chicken quesadilla, nachos, tacos. Totally recommended
Mexicannnn foooodd? Say “yum” and go here. Order the chicken quesadillas, and the guacamole, and the margaritas. Then, pat yourself on the back.
Love tacos? Of course, we do too.♥️
We were at #Muchachas for a complimentary brunch and though it was our first experience with mexican food but we all are in love with tacos 🌮 this restaurant has quickly become our favourite ....🤗
Amazing, wonderful, nice ,flavourful i am actually less with my words to describe this place as well as food ,the warm and attentive hospitality was on the top of my list !!
Thanks Crystal and other staff for pampering us this much 🤗
Thanks team #Muchachas for having us , munchachas tacos are the best we ’ve ever had. ....
....
I went few days ago to have dinner at Muchachas, a Mexican Restaurant located at Holiday Inn Express Al Safa. We also got the change to try their Iftar Menu Preview. The Iftar Menu is Priced at 149 dhs per person and 75 dhs for kids between 5 to 11 years old. It includes the food and the beverages including mocktails.
I am full up and have had a complete taste sensation. What’s more, it didn’t break the bank. This restaurant is understatedly delicious. Come and try.
Simple restaurant, but successful and busy - good selection of Mexican food, and excellent combinations with drinks, and great Happy Hour and discount deals. Popular for after-work snacks, drinks and gossip!
One of the best Mexican places in Dubai. We really loved the Tamarind short ribs and the tacos. The service by Angeline was great. Would definitely come back to Muchachas!
This Mexican place is so good
Out of all the Mexican places I try in Dubai muchachas has one of the best tacos and Mexican traditional dishes
The margaritas are so good and very well priced
The service was amazing by Angeline definitely coming back !!!!!! 😃
Who would’ve thought that such a place existed in Holiday Inn! Muchachas Is such a cute cozy place that serves Mexican food. We ordered the Guacamole(5/5), Spiced beef taco(4/5) , Street style corn (5/5), Tamarind short ribs(4/5), and Chicken taco(3/5). The tacos are the tiniest I have ever seen so far! and you get one tiny taco per order. However, its a good option for people who would like to try different taco flavors👅
BEWARE! This is one of those places where, despite best intentions, you end up eating way too much.
The tacos are like the stuff you see on Travel Channel or Food Network (visually and taste). Makes for perfect tapas.
Brilliant margaritas and a relaxed chilled vibe.
Just amazing food - good price and lovey ambiance - surely we are coming again and again !!!!
Cute place and mouth watering Mexican food that we strive for !
We recently stayed at Holiday Inn Express, Safa Park, It was late when we reached around 9:30 pm and we wanted a place to eat. Luckily we found Muchachas, so we decided to try it. First the place and ambiance are nice and the colors are fresh so you won’t feel it is dark. The food is really tasty, the portions are enough but if you are a big eater you will need to order more. Prices are affordable and we got a 20% discount as in-house guest:) Will definitely visit again and I highly recommend it for couples and group of friends.
One of the most underrated Mexican restaurants in Dubai! I’ve eaten in the restaurant and also had delivery. Their food is sooo good! Usually when having Mexican food outside of Mexico or the southwest of the USA, the “Mexican” food that is offered is a sad, pathetic imitation. However this isn’t the case with Muchachas. It’s flavorful and it doesn’t stray far from authentic Mexican food. My favorite is their tacos and street corn. I would give 5 stars for the food alone. The restaurant is also super cute with a nice theme. The downside is the price. It’s a bit expensive (but then again it’s typical of Dubai). One tiny taco is 16 dhs. Also the service isn’t good. It’s slow and you have to flag them down to ask for anything. Whether it’s to get your order taken, ask for another drink or get the check. I will continue to eat here though because of the food.
Took the family here for a late Mother’s Day as our schedules have been extremely busy. The place was Casual, and had friendly staff, good atmosphere, and delicious food. Perfect when you want a Mexican fix. The octopus was great, tacos were delicious, the ribs were enjoyed by my family, guacamole was ok though overall it was a good experience for me and the family. Definitely going to come back. Vice muchachas
My girlfriend ranted about how good muchachas is so it was only a matter of time before I found myself there with her. We went a bit early (6pm) so there was no one else there and considering it’s Ramadan I didn’t expect it too be busy.
The decor is really cute and I guess a bit pinteresty. It’s different to your regular Dubaiesque venue and we felt very much at home. We got several starters as well as a selection of tacos. Food is delicious and very reasonably priced. Their lamb ribs are incredibly tender and juicy. I’m salavating just thinking about it. Their tacos are also very good and you can buy one of each if you wanna try everything. They had some interesting combinations of tacos and it was quite fun to try them all.
Would’ve rated 5 star but the service of one waitress in particular was a bit rubbish. She forgot to ring drinks and food items up even though we were the only table there. Her colleagues more than made up for it.
We ended up drinking and eating until 11:30pm. As the evening progressed the general vibe of the place did as well. I would definitely go back again.
Smokers, please not you’ll have to go outside, through the lobby, onto the street to have a cigarette. Then again, we probably shouldn’t be smoking anyway.
Muchachas deserves more than its 3.6 rating! Tucked away off SZR, this casual restaurant offers both something familiar and something different. It was nice to enjoy mexican cuisine without a cliched sombrero in sight! The menu had a lot of different options to choose from. We loved the tacos with the various filling options. The mango marinated chicken was great! Will definitely head back to explore more on the menu!
Happy hours here are truly happy. Had 2 drinks and their famous veal sope. Tried some of their other stuff like fish tacos and tamarind short ribs last night and absolutely loved the food here. The vibe here is just amazing, love the decor and ambience. The service is too good and the happy hour deals of AED 27 per drink is the show stealer. The chicken fajita was a great diy. Absolutely delicious and filling.
A great low-key Friday brunch spot. I went with a girl friend and it didn't feel like one of those brunches where you need to be in a big group to properly enjoy it.
It's great value, the margaritas were strong and the food was great - we asked for some changes to be made to the set brunch menu as I'm veggie and my friend isn't and the serving staff were really accommodating.
Definitely take the opportunity to borrow a sombrero from the wall by the DJ...

The charcoal octopus. Eat it and eat it again. So delicious. The shortribs were pretty good as well.
great sangrias, good staff - great times.
This place serves authentic Mexican food. Their menu is small but their food is great. Their service is really quick. Here we had
A. Chicken tacos - the tacos were good. But I somehow didn’t like the soft shell on the tacos. It had pickled onions, chipotle and coriander.
B. Crab tacos - spicy cucumber and coriander.
C. Chicken quesadillas - adobe chicken
D. Burrito negro - black rice, shrimp, charred mango, crispy plantain and avocado.
Came for dinner on a Thursday with my husband. Booked ahead but we didn’t need to for a 7.30-8pm seating as there was lots of space.
The place has nice decor, a relaxed vibe, friendly waiters and interesting food. The food was a bit more authentic Latin American than Tex-Mex which may or may not be to your taste.
The portions are on the small side but I didn’t mind that as it allows you to try a few different things. The prices may slow you down from taking this approach though.
There is a decent selection of vegetarian dishes here on the ‘off the street’ (starters) menu. I’m surprised they don’t have a bean-based taco - the only veggie taco was an avocado one.
We got the zucchini tostada (my favourite dish of the night - yummy and crunchy), cheese fondue, piquillo and black bean quesadillas (also good), and an avocado taco. Everything was yummy but nothing was so amazing that I’d have to return to have it again. As nibbles with drinks the food here would be above average, but if you’re coming just for the food it was just ok.
For dessert we had the Churros and the Aztec Dreams - both were nice with a hint of spiciness. The bitter chocolate ice cream with the Aztec Dreams was delicious! Dark chocolate lovers will enjoy it.
The mocktails had good fruity, fresh flavours and weren’t too sweet, which was nice.
All in all our visit was a nice experience. This would be a good place to come with friends and have a few drinks. The sangria jugs looked great and it wasn’t so loud that you’d have trouble hearing each other.
A hidden gem in Dubai. How do we even get there without missing a turn or two with all the roads change around Safa Park. But, it was worth it! the food is amazing! very very delicious, explosive flavors and wonderfully presented. Try the Chilli Nachos and any of the tacos! I tried the Veal, Chicken, Veal, Sea Bass and Sniper. I know it might seem a lot but they are 2 Bites tacos, Trust me!
The only drawback is their slow service I would say. The restaurant was full on Thursday night, but there was always a delay with food or drinks.

With hues of pastel decor, baskets of fruits and an informal seating. Muchachas has a perfect urban-rustic Mexican feel. The ambience is dim, yet bright and very rejuvenating.
Each table is kind of different from the other. We sat on the turquoise stool one. Felt like we were on a picnic. As soon as we sat down the menu was brought to us and so was a bowl of colourful nachos and 2 salsas, one red and the other green.
We started off with the drinks. Ordered for a Tiger Beer, a Red Sangria and Berryland. Sangrias are my all time favorites. Loved it here as well. Beer was the regular. And I loved Berryland too. A lemonish berry mint overload which is quite refreshing.
Then we placed an order for Chicken Quesadilla, Chicken Sope, Tofu Taco and Cheese Fondue.
Chicken Quesadilla was slightly extra salty and tangy. However, the green dip that came along with the dish complimented the Quesadilla's really well.
Chicken Sope was a charcoaled crunchy bread base with nicely spiced pulled chicken, avocado and some pico de gallo.
Tofu Taco actually took me by surprise. I have always had tacos with a crunchy base. But this was nothing like what I have had. It was served in a mini tortilla. Also what disturbed me more was the fact that I didn't find any tofu pieces in the taco. It tasted good but it would have been better it it was crunchier and had some tofu.
My favorite was the Cheese Fondue. Yes, it's slightly pricy. But was my most loved item of the ones we tried. Loved the pickled mushrooms. The tortilla was nice and hot. And the fondue was nice and gooey with a subtle smoky flavor. I loved the crunchiness of the apples in it. However, I wasn't impressed by the corn bread.
For dessert we decided to go in for Tres Marias. Well it was just a scoop of banana, chocolate and charcoal Icecream. It was the first time I tried black Icecream. Get ready to have your mouth tinted in black for a while. The flavours were strong and dominating. Loved all of them. The added things that were mentioned on the menu were however missing. The pumpkin nought was substituted for pumpkin seeds. I couldn't find the sweet plantain anywhere. And where was the passion fruit cajeta? Maybe the sweet plantain and the passion fruit cajeta were literally like two drops of water in the ocean. I really could find it. But the Icecreams were good.
Mind you, the taste and presentation of all the dishes are good. But the portion sizes are tiny so be prepared.
Overall I liked the vibe of the place and might come back for their happy hours.
We first had the chips which they served us. Food was Yummy. But slow service, then came in the drinks. Then was the chicken quessidilla. I felt there was a bit extra of salt. Which could have been improved upon. I felt some ingredients were missing in some dishes. Kind and Courteous staff

Lunch at Muchachas will need to be repeated. Tacos are smaller than "normal" which is great because I had three: beef (habanero guacamole + fresh cactus), chicken (grilled pineapple, pickled onions, chipoltle + coriander) AND duck (pico verde, sour tamarind + red chili). Seriously delish! Service was so friendly and I loved the overall vibe of the place. Unexpected location but so worth it.
Without a doubt, Mexican has to be one of my all-time favorite world cuisines (coming a close second after Thai ofcourse!). I discovered Muchachas many months ago as Holiday Inn Express is literally at the back-door of my workplace. The bright turquoise interiors, complete with cacti, Mexican sombreros and cantina-style minimalist furnishings is all at once eclectic, exotic and welcoming, and my colleagues are a little weary of the number of times I praise them for their tacos.

Up to some mischief? Why not try the Miss Chief Brunch at Muchachas this Friday?! I can’t stress enough on how essential these Dubai brunches are for survival! Okay, that’s a tad bit too much, but trust me, you will know what I mean when you give this one a try. Muchachas, located at the Holiday Inn Al Safa, exudes chilled out, welcoming, summery vibes of a Mexican cantina. Their Miss Chief Brunch which takes places every Friday from 12:30 to 3:30 is filled with tons of sass and mischief.
It is a small yet very cosy and brightly colored eatery. I had a great time with my companions sipping on colorful berry mocktails and baby pink margueritas. Everybody enjoyed the complimentary food as well as wearing sombereros. The waitress was very cheerful and she handled a big group very nicely.
A very lovely place! At first you won't think that this is a Mexican restaurant because it doesn't look like one. It's kind of romantic. The tables with candles, the pastel colors - i so love it! Nothing fancy, simple but elegant. The music not too high so you could still have a proper chat with your friends.
We went here last night for the ladies night. They have an offer of 3 free drinks and a complimentary food. The frozen strawberry and peach margarita (I had it without alcohol) is so yummy. And for the complimentary food, they have chicken quesadillas and chicken sope. We tried both and it's good. We won't complain for the small serving because it's a complimentary, but it's really tasty.
The menu is limited, with a little pricy on the food and small serving. We have an amazing server (sorry dear I didn't get a chance to ask for your name). She's the ever bubbly Dominican, so friendly and always smiling at you.
I must say, as for the other reviews here that I have read, don't judge a food when you are not familiar with the cuisine. Tacos is also served in soft shell, not only in hard shells. And it doesn't matter if this restaurant is not located in a 5star hotel, because what we experienced satisfied us a lot.
For a Mexican restaurant, I was expecting bright red color and mariachi music, but Muchachas was different. The Mexican ambiance was subtle, and it gave a more relaxed and laid back vibe - perfect for an evening date.
I asked for their best sellers - charcoaled octopus, chicken quesadilla and beef tacos. When they were served, my first impression was that the serving was so cute in size that made me wonder if we ordered enough, but after the meal, I was actually very full.
The octopus is highly recommended!!!
For drinks, we had fresh avocado juice and mojito. The avocado juice is simply the best avocado drink in the city!
The serving was fast and friendly!
The best part? FREE NACHOS!
One of the best Mexican food i have ever had in my life. The tacos they serve is amazing. One of the best tacos i have ever had. Their prices are really good compared to what they serve. Its not so expensive as i was expecting. You must try this place.
It had a been a while since we tried another Mexican restaurant in Dubai. We decided to try muchachas as I really craved a good marghareita. So off we went on a Thursday evening after a tiring day of work. There is no dressocde here and you are welcome in shorts and flipflops. This got us excited as we were way to shattered post work, to make an effort to dress up.
The interiors were bright and cute and the place hada very friendly vibe. It was decorated with buntings, cactus and smiles. We got ourselves seated and immediately ordered the marghareitas. I ordered the fiery muchachas and hubby ordered the pineapple and basil marghareita. Mine had a hint of chillie but no flavour whatsoever and hubby's also wasn't strong on flavour. Rather disappointing marghareitas. My husband ditched the marghareitas and moved onto a gin cocktail while I dared to ordered the watermelon marghareita, on recommendation of our server. I this time around it was slightly better yet I couldn't taste the watermelon. Husband's gin cocktail was nice.
For food we started the with guacamole and king fish ceviche with cacao oil. The guacamole was chunky and nice unlike the gooey mess served in most restaurants. It had a good flavour of coriander and lime....just as we like it. The king fish ceviche was nice and I loved the crispy cactus ontop. We then ordered the stuffed zucchini flowers and the chicken sope. The zucchini flowers were filled with cream cheese and habenro and oh boy! They were crunch yummy goodness. They werr so good thay we ordered another round of it. The chicken sope was flavourseome pulled chicken on a disc of corn memelas. We also decided to try the pink snapper ceviche but instead of coming to our table, utvwas served to another table and they ate is happily. It looked good for afar but I shall let you know how it tasted after my next visit here...when I actually get to taste it.
How could we leave without giving the tacos a shot. We sampled the beef taco, the chicken taco and the veal.
The beef taco had habaneoro, guacamole and cactus. It lacked flavour and heat for me. I kept imagining the taste if my fav.taco- the cochinita and so the beef taco was a ket down. The chicken taco, which is their version of el pastor, was the best out of the lot. The veal of the veal taco was cooked well and had a lovely caramelization but again it lacked oomph...perhaos some red onion for crunch and coriander for freshness would lift it. After all this , we decided to order dessert - mud bath for two. So mud bath is sort of a chocolate fondue served in a pineapple with lots of sweet things like floss, meringue kisses, honeycomb, berries and churros to dip into. Oh! They forgot to put on the churros till I pointed it out. A lot of other guests seemed content without them but I need to be served what's written on the menu. So out came piping hot churros. It's a playful and fun dessert and perfect one to share.
Muchachas turned our to be a pleasant surprise. Who would have thought if a 2 star hotel to have such a place. Marghareitas need improvement and so do the tacos ( a little bit). I would recommend this place for a no fuss evening.
Went here for the Friday brunch.
Great brunch for AED 275 with alcohol.
Muchacha serves Mexican food, the brunch was a 5course set menu. Food tasted good and portions were adequate.
Love the vibe and pastel interiors!
An amazing vibrant place, simple interior design with a very friendly staff. We had a selection of Tortillas, shrimp & chicken are highly recommended. In other places I had a better guacamole but the nacho chips so delicious. Definitely will visit again
Excellent food and excellent vibes. Must haves are the lamb ribs, duck enchiladas, tacos (beef, chicken, crab, etc they were all brilliant), and my fav, the dulce de leche cheescake for dessert. a true hidden gym. I would definitely visit again.
Insta-worthy space that is part of the Tom&Serg, Common Grounds, and Sum of Us family. My friends and I arrived at lunchtime during Ramadan. It is one of the only places open to serve food in the Al Safa area.
I was happy with the service and space but wished we could have tried the famous Mexican dishes at Muchachas. The breakfast items and burgers my group and I ordered were prepared well. I was able to change my regular fries to sweet potatoe ones with no problems. Their specialty cola drink was refreshing and didn't taste like commercial cola products.
My only gripe with any of the Tom&Serg locations is the price. A single poached egg on toast will set you back at least 60AED.
I came here since I'm a big fan of Tom & Serg and the sum of us. I really liked the food, the service was very attentive and good and the ambience was very cute. Location wise it's a bit off for me but an advantage with the alcohol license
Muchachas had been on my hitlist especially since the images on their their IG marketing are so incredibly enticing. When I learned that Tom&Serg has breakfast covered there for a few weeks during Ramadan I had to run over to check it out.
As soon as you walk in, you can’t help but feel the immediate effects of the calming and soothing pastel colors that makes the space feel bigger and more open than it actually is. Love the communal tables and subtle attempt at hipster vibes.
We ordered breakfast from their All Day Menu (8 am to 3 pm) and it was outrageously good! I got the Baghdad Scramble with Spicy Lamb Sausages - a cornucopia of scrambled eggs cooked with cauliflower, pine nuts, & golden raisins served with a paratha and some minted labneh and hummus on the side. A brilliant regional take on the average joe scramble. The lamb sausages are worthy of haute cuisine — savory and cooked to perfection!
My dining buddies ordered the Pumpkin & Feta Fritters and the New Benedict. I did not taste theirs, but they loved their food and it certainly looked beautiful. The coffee was pretty decent too. I highly recommend this cool power breakfast menu tucked away at the Holiday Inn Express in Al Safa for a different twist on morning grub.
I realized in downtown there were quite a few places where to dine in and I checked other areas on a nice list from Time out. I found out that Tom&Serg is taking over Muchachas Mexican Cantina during this Ramadan. Well done, very smart move. We order the Tom&Serg breakfast I used to love when they first opened in alquoz, their famous poached eggs on toast with smashed avocado which was absolutely delicious. I am happy to say this as lately I had changed my mind on Tom & Serge food. We both loved both the eggs and their burger which was very tasty and fresh. I was not very happy for the fries they lacked on crispiness. The place is lovely and fresh, really liked the entrance and the décor a lot. Coffee was also nice, but melon strawberry juice could be better. Overall we left the place very happy and we'll definitely come back this Ramadan and also later on to try their Mexican specialties.
Rocked up for happy hour: 2-4-1 on margarita pitchers. Only problem is the place doesn't really get lively until around 9.30pm so lacked a bit of ambiance earlier in the eve.
Food was tasty and pretty well priced. Little over salty but no major complaints. Best dishes were easily the kingfish ceviche and a beautifully balanced chargrilled octopus. Also went for the queso, some wings and a few of the tacos (on the small side). All decent, not quite mind blowing.
Good night all round - would also be a good spot for a laid back birthday with a group.
Came with a group of friends when they had their pre opening event thing so I'm not sure if the portion of the food reflects what they serve now. However, based on THAT experience, id say definitely overpriced for the quantity. Besides that, the venue itself is really prettily decorated and staff were very friendly. I actually love their "unicorn tears" (I think it's just sriracha sauce haha!) which came with like those bottles where you pinched the rubber top and it sucks the liquid and then pinch it again to release? (I really don't know how to describe it!). Anyways, really nice concept and hope the food portion got better.
We came in and tried the brunch here, and were pleasantly surprised at how cool this funky little concept joint was. A member of the Tom n Serg chain, we automatically gave it a high expectation and were not let down. The brunch was what we had, 175AED all you can eat and drink. We were not drinking but it included beers, margaritas and sangria and looked very comprehensive. We were sat down and given a huge serving of guac and corn chips. This was a huge plate and was actually with us for the full 3 hours we were there eating. The cerviche was exceptional in the starters as well. I am not usually a fan of Octopus Salad but this one was so good we asked for seconds. Try to Tacos! I loved the duck and Thuymi was a fan of the crab, so we just had plenty of each! After 3 hours we were totally full and happy with quality of food!
Oh yeah, don't forget to try to cheese fondue and taco!
This place is perfect for a small group of friends to enjoy an intimate style brunch/food experience with a huge range of Mexican food.
An absolute hidden gem, great food and great drinks
Doesn't feel like dubai, feels grounded and authentic
Unassuming but brilliant
Definitely recommended
Muchachas is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Dubai from the same team behind Tom & Serg. I visited one weekend along with few other bloggers for the launch of their 'Off the street' menu .
We started off with a chido drink which is made of fresh coconut milk and berries. It was pretty refreshing.
Dishes I tried:
-Guacamole(Fresh and goes well with tortilla chips)
-Cheese fondue( A signature dish here and a must try)
- Greens salad
-Inca corn salad
- Tofu tacos and veal tacos
-Scallop and king fish ceviches served with fried banana chips( Quite a good combination)
Finally for the dessert , we tried the Mexican mudbath which is nothing but chocolate fondue served along with fruit skewers, churros, marsh mallows etc.
It was quite an overwhelming night with amazing vibes and love to visit again.
The ever-so-pastel Muchachas is another eatery set up by the brains behind Tom & Serg, The Sum Of Us and Common Grounds. Wide space, long tables, warm lighting and a range of authentic dishes make up this Mexican Cantina. We sampled dishes from their 'Off The Street' menu hence got to try a bit of everything.
The Food
Guacamole: Pico de gallo, jalapeno, lime, coriander served with tortilla chips. The dip comes already prepared to your table. It was tasty enough but don't forget to add some of the lime.
Inca Corn Salad: One of the best dishes we tried, starchy large white kernels of Inca corn, charred cherry tomatoes, feta cheese and red jalapeño. Great dish and definitely something different to try out.
Cheese Fondue: Gooey, melted cheese in a tortilla, what's not to enjoy!
Scallop Ceviche: Unfortunately its been removed from the menu.
Kingfish Ceviche: This was T's favourite of the two. King fish cubes with chunks of fresh mango, avocado and lime. It had great flavour and enough citrus that wasn't overpowering.
Tacos: We tried the tofu taco which consisted of Buddha salad, black bean cream and deep fried lotus root. The black bean cream proved to be overpowering in terms of texture and it comes off as quite bland.
The Drinks
Free drinking water: Love that they do this.
Chido: A mocktail consisting of apple, strawberry, coconut and lime. This is quite a fruity drink and for once we actually tasted all the ingredients.
The Dessert
Mexican Mudbath: The edges were lined with fruit skewers and placed around it were pieces of the watermelon, churros, homemade marshmallows, raspberries and cotton candy. Definitely a fun dessert and you won't feel too bad since it is technically a fruit filled one.
The Venue
Muchachas has an interesting set up. The pastel colours of blue, yellow, green, pink and white sets the colour scheme so you just know that during the day this place is an Instagram dream. We loved the open space and hanging plants. It gives you a sense of being outside in a little decorated garden...without actually being outside.
Our verdict: This Mexican Canteen style set up is all about sharing plates, fun and a chilled out atmosphere. Have a few drinks, share some latin flavoured bites and enjoy conversations with friends. Definitely a bit pricey but since it's all about sharing, dining while in a group shouldn't break the bank.
This visit was part of a blogger meet which was put together by Azianzia-Dubai Blogger. We also met Ebtisam Thaha and Shabina Afzal / Shabosphere

I was fortunate enough to be part of their bloggers event . Last week they did introduce their new menu and they did invite us to come over and taste and give review. It was my first trial on proper Mexican street food .
The location is easy , muchachas is inside Holiday Inn there is ample parking space.
The vibe is pure Mexican style just loved it , they are into Mexican canteen setup , where you can order and share food . Everything was so colour ful there . Loved the cool hippy style ambience they have created there , the cabana, the seating benches , the music plates, the lighting , the pester mortar on table , the candles everything did bring in the cool Mexican vibe.
The staff was super good. On there was slight delay of service as it was house full , even though being a weekday all the tables were full , that does say the food and vibe is amazing there .
We got chido as drink refreshing drink , I love they way they have water there it's cleansing water as in , they put lemon slices in water so it cleaned your palate and also your tummy
For starters we got glucamole with few dippings, the nachos with salsa both were very fresh and light to tummy , we also got the kale salad I just loved it and the big corn salad . I was having both these salads for first time .
Then the main course was cheese fondu , it was such amazing cheese fondue with mushrooms, salsa and jalapeño. Very cheese and gooey cheese fondu was served with Mexican bread and taco bread
Next was taco , the beef taco which was very melt in mouth and the tofu taco both were good.
The cold seafood platter comes up next it's ceviche mix of seafood in salasa was a different taste and experience.
The dessert stole our hearts we had the watermelon fondue , could you imagine a big water melon with dark chocolate and all exotic fruits we just wiped of the water melon in few minutes . That yum it was
Cheese fondue and watermelon fondue both are must recommended.the staff are very friendly too , wish their service was also little more faster .
I would definitely come back here.
