Very busy restaurant outside Al Ghurair Mall. They serve lentil soup, hot Tandoor bread, salad and at end Kawa complimentary and you can see server roaming around looking for table to serve this complimentary menu. We ordered:

Lamb Chop: 2/5
Kebab Iraqi: 4/5
Lentil soup: 3/5

Ambience: 4/5
Interior; 3.5/5
Service: 4/5 (need smile to n face)

Highly recommended this restaurant for anyone who would like to experience true Iraqi food, or just good food in general. The atmosphere is always welcoming with the service being on point each and every time. Can’t wait to go back and have some more dolma!

Visited this Iraqi gem with a friend who highly recommended it. Its a popular place among the iraqi natives and lives up to the expectations. In my opinion no kebabs from any region come even close to how good iraqi kebabs taste. The kebabs at this joint were absolutely lip smacking. I tried raisin juice for the first time and it definitely was a sweet experience. If you like Iraqi food this one should not be missed. Happy eating cheers!!

This is quite a busy establishment that serves decent food. However, the staff are always in a rush and end up treating customers with little care. They also tend to push large portions on customers, even when the order is just for 2 people. This happens when one tries ordering masgoof fish!

I love this restaurant and its #1 in the iraqi food
But unfortunately,, lately the service is become worst with time , i hope you will be improving the service to be back as it was before
This place is good for authentic food. They have a good wide variety of kebabs and biryani cooked with pure spices that are mixed so well.
It’s true that you won’t be disappointed with their food but might be with their service.
If you ready to spend more, you will be welcomed and treated more humbly than otherwise.

Go to this place only for food and not for service.
A famous Iraqi restaurant now reviewed by me, an Indian. I had a recent corporate lunch here, invited by a medical company.
Ambience-4.5/5. Very middle eastern.
Interiors- 5/5. Ditto. Lot of woodwork, middle age style
Food quantity-5/5.
Food quality-4/5.
Food presentation-4.5/5.
Service-4.5/5.
Price-4/5.
This is restaurant with lots of grandeur. Gorgeous decor with a palatial interior. A good lounge on the outer deck. And a intriguing barbecue kitchen seen from the outside.
They service was impeccable. When we wanted they werr there. And mostly all the items were served on time.
We had ouzi, dolma, hummus, Masguf, lots of salads, lentil soup, nice breads etc.
The masguf was their speciality. I have had it before and not much impressed. Yes, it was huge-almost 2 feet long and similarly wide though and cooked well. Tasted okayish with the mango sauce. But all were mostly bland, which doesn't really interest me. But I appreciate their patience in cooking these jumbo items. The bread was also huge and very tasty when hot. I didn't like the dolma partially because of being sour. The vegetables were excellent. Kibbeh was good with minced meat. Lentil soup was good and salads very fresh. Overall though I didn't find a stand out dish, the service and ambience made it special. I am sure the Iraqis must be very fond of the quality of food served here too.
I must mention the superb artwork and finesse of the suleimani tea saucers. And the excellent art work of the interiors in the washroom. Felt like being in a noble man's palace in real. Very well done.

Bestoon Samad is the original Iraqi Semeç Masgûf (Arabic: سمچ مسگوف) specialists from Kirkuk in Northern Iraq (Kurdistan). This fifth branch of theirs is located in the Al Ghurair Shopping Center beside Xiao Long Bao masters, Din Tai Fung, and follows the same unique (and much copied) inside-of-a-castle, stone and wood corporate uniform.

Curry chicken
Take away
Cuisine : trad Arabian and Lebanese.

Ambience/ Arrangements : Quite Simple.
Pricing : reasonable.
Quality / Quantity. : mature qty
Service : varies
Presentation : too simple.

Speciality : Sea food platters

Over all rating :
Black medal.

Curious to try Iraqi food as my boss kept bragging about it, we ordered for lunch from this place at work. I must say not bad. The place that serves all thing Iraqi.
I liked the chicken pie dish and the main lamb shoulder rice dish. The servings were huge and filling. I got to try the apricot curry. #interesting.
The food delivered were nicely packed and reached on time.
Overall I liked it and would like to go to the restaurant to try it again.

Heard only good words about this restaurant, and they did not disappoint. We wanted to have the Iraqi grilled fish but the available serving was more than our capacity, so maybe next time. We opted instead for maqlooba and Iraqi kebab and they were really good. This was also my first time to have raisin juice, a different kind of delicious.
Sizable serving.
Nice ambience.
Polite crew.
It was my first time to visit and won’t be the last for sure.
The Eat Log
We thought of checking out this (relatively) new Iraqi restaurant while we were in town. The fifth branch of the Samad Group Restaurants and the first outside of Iraq, the interior of this place has been designed to reflect the authenticity of the cuisine they promise to serve. While you wait for your order to arrive, they indulge you with lentil soup – which tasted pretty good, a platter of veggies and of course some Iraqi bread. The second round of bread brought a rather interestingly shaped variety. However, it was the first bread – thinner, slightly crisp and with sesame seeds – that tasted better. And hence was obviously the more popular choice at our table.
Redha Al Bachari
We have placed an order several times for Masqouf and kebab and it was always a pleasant meal until today. The Masqouf is marinated with Indian fish spices and have a strong orange colour, it has nothing to do with the flavor or spices that are usually used for preparing this fish. In addition the kebab order was cold and not tender at all. We called the restaurant to ask if they have changed the spices for the fish and all they did is argue back that it only had salt and no other spices. And insured that maybe the fish itself had a funny taste which is even worse. There is no point of serving good food (not anymore) if the customer service is this bad. Not ordering again, as you are not the restaurant out there.

long wait is over. finally I experienced dining here. the hostess welcomed us and directed to our table. once we seated, right away the served salad, soups, water, bread and picked vegetables. we ordered mixed grill and Iraqi Kabab. the Kabab is not so special but it taste good. what I do love is they have a big serving. it's worth the price. definitely I will recommend this to my friends and for sure will come.back to try more of their
dishes

First of all, apologies for late in writing review.. but this restaurant is worthy every word.. one of the best place in Dubai to relish Iraqi kababs. You need to save your appetite for this restaurant food.. no it’s not buffet but there are numerous complimentary stuff before and after your main course.. list starts with lentil soup, bowl of pickles, salad followed by hot steamy fresh direct from oven arabic bread and you know what bread is unlimited. We had ordered Hummus ( one of the best in the town), Hummus with lamb, Iraqi minced lamb kababs ( it melts in you mouth), Mixed mouqlubeh (very tastefull) and after you meal it is followed by black tea and some sweets.. this is worth with every penny paid and it will leave you craving for more #bestoonsamad

Our favorite Arabic Restaurant since more than a year now .. I am so glad it was my first time to try Iraqi food and we became regular clients since then ..
Highly recommend their lamb meals especially the lamb ouzi .. their Bamya dish is awesome as well as the fish which they cook in a very special way .. Actually all their meals are delicious and we never had anything that we didn’t like ..
They welcome you to the restaurant with a complimentary lentil soup, salad and Iraqi bread which all are wow ..
price is affordable and service is good . We even tried their home delivery service which is also perfect .
Must visit !

Food is always delicious at this restaurant, today was the first day of VAT implementation, they have a new menu and their prices has gone up to 75 Dirhams for most mains from 68 and then on top charged the VAT of 5% so their prices has gone up by 15% for no reason other than pure greed.

Super quick serving is something really attractive about this restaurant and taste is undoubtedly good. However, mistakes in order and lack of attention to those who sit inside table are something disappointing. Expecting some improvement.

I can seriously have dinner at this restaurant everyday!!!

Started with Lentils soup , Salad and some Breads (All complimentary). people who really hates lentils soup at home, try this restaurant. You won't regret.

We ordered extra Lentil soup instead. paid obviously. 😂😛.

BABA GHANOUSH (Baba ghanoush is a Levantine dish of cooked eggplant mixed with tahina, olive oil and various seasonings including pomegranate seeds).

sweet tangy taste of the mashed cooked eggplant would never let you stop licking your fingers.

Rating: 5/5

HAMMUS: Hummus is a Levantine dip or spread made from cooked, mashed chickpeas or other beans, blended with tahini, olive oil, lemon juice, salt and garlic.

The best part of having HAMMUS at this place is the white texture of it. The Real taste of HAMMUS lies in here at this place. The wall of the bowl all stocked with HAMMUS and the centre of it filled with couple of spoon of olive oil and boiled chickpeas.
Mouth watering appearance!!!

Rating: 5/5

GRILLED CHICKEN FILLET

Juicy, Tendered and soft. These are the three words that describes the whole taste of the chicken.

sprinkled with red chilli flakes is cherry on the top.

5/5

The most tastier out of all that was the bread offered.
(pics are purposly not uploaded, I want you guys to pay visit to taste the soft big breads).

Lastly it serves the special "sulemani chai". The aroma itself digests your entire food and make you ready to sip the drink with a small little cup.

I have never had Iraqi food and I must say, I’m glad I tried it first at Bestoon Samad. The entire experience and the food was great.

As soon as we were seated, they brought us complimentary soup, bread, salad and pickles. The bread was really good. If they were serving just bread, I would definitely still come back. Halfway through the meal, they replaced the bread before we were finished with it.

We ordered the Hummus, Iraqi Kebabs and Dhylmyh (Tashreeb and Rice). The hummus was soft, creamy and perfect. The Kebabs was cooked just right and delicious. The lamb was so tender. Oh, and the portions are more than enough.

They also gave us complimentary dates and sweets after the meal.

If anyone asks for a recommendation where to have good Iraqi food, Bestoon Samad would definitely be it.

Ambiance : 5/5
Value for money : 5/5
Service : 4.5/5 (only because the guy who took our order wasn’t friendly or accommodating)
Food : 5/5
Portions : 5/5

5.0 and still underestimating the place..
Extremely excellent service, food, staff, and everything
It's been my favourite place when it comes to Iraqi food.
I have been there at least 20 times, with more than 20 home delivery.
I wish to pass my thank you to the place. Excellent Iraqi FOoOoD !

The best just got better.
All variety is the best. No doubt but the fish cook on fire.
Nice 1. Nice 100% nice.
I will prefer all lovers of sea food go to try the fish
Big Mouth.Bigger Paunch.
You cannot go wrong with a plate of hummus and freshly baked breads at this place. Never had a plate of hummus so creamy and delicious.

Didn't experimented a lot with the order, but if you stick to Stuffed Kebabs (or Kurdish) or Quzi with rice (lamb cooked to perfection) I am sure you will not be disappointed. The portions are pretty huge, so if you order one dish, it will be accompanied by complimentary lentil soup (very creamy), salad bowl (rich in flavour, never got better at a middle eastern restaurant) and at the end a plate of desserts (dates and besbousa) and chai.

Value for money? Definitely, you cannot ask for more or better!

Tip - If you ever get a chance, do not miss the Iftar during Eid.

Was very excited to try this place, unfortunately my experience wasn’t great; we started with appetizers; the hummus was off, salads were not fresh. I gave you a 2 for the delicious bread and the fish as it was cooked well.

When you know where you can find the best Arabic and when you still try a new place you would want something exceptional to impress you. Well maybe thats where bestoon samad fails to wow me!

Super location , super ambiance , decent food but poor service. Sums up my review pretty much!

The humus and breads were delicious. The lamb chops were chewy and undercooked , we left the whole plate wasted. The arayes was very huge and filling though not the best. The cocktail was also very mediocre. We had free dessert in bits, basically dates drizzled in condensed milk and a besbousa cookie i think!

All in all, strictly okay!

One of those Thursday's when you are in the mood of trying something new. Iraqi cuisine was on my plate. They welcome you with some amazing soup. We ordered their Hummus,Roast Chicken,Dolma, chicken tikka and mutton with stuffing. Dolma is one their delicacy it had mixed vegetables and mutton. I really liked the combination of Stuffed vine leaves in it.
Roast chicken had some variety of flavored rice items.
Highlight was the stuff vine leaves, Hummus and variety of rice.
Value for money-3.5/5 pretty on the higher side
Quantity-4/5
Quality-3.5/5
Ambience-4-5
Taste-3.5/5
It's my favourite Iraqi restaurant ,

We usually visit there, and our order is always Kurdish kabab, and once we had
Fish, that wasn't what I thought it would taste,

As start they get you their complementary lentil soup, salad and oven baked tradition bread,

Their presentation for the food is very good the portions are good enough,

The end when you finish your food you will get again complementary Iraqi shaay(Iraqi tea),and a small plate that consist of 2 small basbousa and dates,

Food 4/5
Staff 3.5/5
Ambience 4/5
Portions 5/5

Best Iraqi restaurant in town. Service is kinda slow. So not the best for a quick bite. But the staff is friendly and the food is amazing try it

Nice food that is tasty, amazing variety from mainly the Iraqi and Iranian cuisine.. the only problem is the slow service, it could be as they were busy
Fatma Sea

Very delicious food. The presentation is excellent. We both had the quzi which was delicious piece of meat with a great selection of rices and sauces. The food is very fresh. The service is exceptionally good.
Mdahmad92
Great and awesome Iraqi food, soup as a free starter and Turkish sweet at the end

Iraqi kebab grill is the best

Not advised on Fridays due to heavy crowd

Price is a bit more

Almost 200 for 3 ppl
Dima Abuasabeh
Every thing about this place is excellent. The generous servings of free soup, salad, bread, tea and pickles is unmatchable. Who even does that in Dubai?

Tried The Mosul Kibbeh, chicken kebab and Iraqi kebab. Everything was fresh and cooked to perfection. Portions are huge and food is excellent.

Fresh Laban is great!

Service was really good!

Well done Bestoon!
Laila Zafar
Loved the food, the service and the best of all was the home made, fresh Arabic sweets. Place is perpetually packed that says enough of their wonderful food. We ordered the platter which was a bit much for two people but we relished it anyway, the breads are yum but have them before they go cold.
Going back again and again!
Ghazal
We were looking for a Arabic restaurant around Al Ghurair centre when we came across Bestoon Samad.

The restaurant was jam packed on a Wednesday night, so we assumed the food must be spectacular.

As soon as we were seated, they started serving lentil soup, a few salads and a traditional oven baked bread, which was mind blowing!

We ordered for a few shawarma platters, and a Kurdish Kabab. Without exception, all the dishes lacked flavor. From the hummus to the salads, to the shawarma and finally the kabab. However, the dishes were very well presented and the portions were good for sharing.

The only points I would give them is for the service and the ambiance. In terms of food, it was very mediocre.

Mai From Dubai
Best Iraqi experience !!

From the minute you enter the place, you will feel the generous Iraqi hospitality!! Warm welcoming and lovely serving !!

The decorations were so luxurious and totally in love with the details..

As a complement they serve soup, salad , pickles and bread !! So generous!!!

We ordered two of the dishes of the day ad per as the captain recommendation...
it was so good !! And yummmy ... and the quantity was a lot !! Enough to share !!

We tried the raisin juice which was strange at the beginning but i got used to it !! I like it .. tastes like grapes juice ..

Highly recommended !!
We just found this restaurant by accident and it was packed at 4pm and now we know why. The food was excellent and we could not finish it because we ate already too much from the tasty bread. It is a bit pricey but the money worth.
Hozefa Karunda
best iraqi food in the town.. great taste and great service specially KABAB tastes delicious. but price is just little overpriced & small portion size. FOOD - 5/5SERVICE - 5/5PRICE - 4/5
Mohammed Al Zainal
Long story short, come down here for the best iraqi food and the most authentic experience. You wont be disappointed. As soon as you're seated you're served a bowl of soup and salad with a hot big slice or Iraqi bread. I highly recommend the masgooof fish, it does not taste like fish! Their grilled kebab is also really good even though it has a bit too much fat. They have all sorts of Kibbeh that are just amazing, they're crispy, meaty, fresh...everything you can ask for. Another one of their great meals is the meat shwarma...don't bother with the chicken though, its not their thing. Their service is a bit slow however and their dessert menu is quite limited. Then again, you don't come here for desserts, you come for the main course! Definitely coming back again.

Great Iraqi food
Friendly staff
Reasonable prices
The dolma was really yummy 😋
Even the western dishes were delicious
A Friend of us tried the beef stroganoff & he loved it

I believe by far this is the best Iraqi restaurant ..
Heard of its opening and had the chance finally to go try it ..
Although I went in the midweek and thought it wouldn't be packed but actually it was but thankfully didn't have to wait for long..

The place is really big and the decoration is at point to go simultaneously with the Iraqi traditional kind of restaurants ..

When we were seated we were served : soup , salad , Iraqi pickles and huge bread.

Main dish : kurdi kabab
The portion is big and the flavor was so yummy .. Satisfied my taste buds enough to make me finish such a huge portion which I normally don't ..

And of course it's never an Iraqi experience without the Iraqi tea after a heavy meal ..

Would definitely go back again .

Arrived at 4pm thinking it was the slow time...the place was packed but with lots of empty tables!! It took 15 minutes and two guys to find us a table for two. We got a table next to some stairs where people were tripping and disabled people and people with baby carriages were having problems in using !!!
Food was good! The staff was nice but needs lots of training😜
Lots of employees running around in circles.
It took forever to get the order to us and forever to pick up the dirty plates!
The grilled fish arrived cold, I don't know if they don't have heat lamps or somebody forgot to pick it up from the kitchen and deliver to the hungry people at the table!
Bread was amazing...we had to send somebody to fetch the tea guy. The food arrived at last but they forgot the drinks😜
I have been going there regularly since the day it opened, and I couldn't be more satisfied with the quality and the treatment. The whole staff is excellent, and in terms of ambience and decor the place is outstanding. The owners pay attention to all the details. It is by far the best Iraqi restaurant in Dubai. Generous portions and high quality and flavorful food for a very good price. One is guaranteed to enjoy every single thing at offer. 10/10

Very pleasing ambience, nicely decorated with a combination of blue and wooden seating. Easy access as one could just park in Al Ghurair's old parking building and walk down to this restaurant.

We were welcomed with a friendly staff who guided us all along our dinner experience.

My father had visited this place and it is thru word of mouth that I reached here with my husband. We ordered for mix grill plate and asked him for Humus Beiruti n he said no that is a Lebanese dish 😃... so we ordered for plain Humus. The Kebab was tender, very juicy and tasty... along with mutton pieces and chicken.

We were given Complimentary lentil soup, salad that was cut not like Lebanese restaurants where you are given a garden of vegetables. A boat sized big Naan 😉 which had sesame seeds and parsley sprinkled over it. For drinks the waiter suggested if I should try the Laban, which we dod not like as it was too sour for us and was offered to us Free.

To end our experience we were offered complimentary tea. Will surely visit this place next time as well and it is pocket friendly 👍
