لا تستحق الثمن (التعليق الأصلي) Not the first time dining at Royal Orchid. Service level has always been good but quality of food not so. Tom Kha (veg) was better than expected Stir fried Greens was a failure. Had no flavor. Was damp/soggy (probably from boiling or over steaming) Had to search for bits of garlic and luckily had salt on the table. Not worth the price

(التعليق الأصلي) not 1st time here, for dining in also tried delivery, like food. removed 1 star, because every time spice level of food different (I m quite constant with my orders: papay salad and chicken dim sums). One time my papaya salad was really impossible to eat without drinks, today asked to make it medium spicy and it was almost without any taste.

Fabulous meal, lovely setting, attentive staff, the most amazing food.

I had a super delicious vegan dinner including mock duck and mock chicken! Check out myvegandubai for the entire review :)

Really delicious food and great atmosphere. Would love to try every dish on the menu!

A great place to dine, ambiance is so good and cool, so as the food.

At my recent visit to Royal Orchid Downtown, I found the food to be very good and the staff very pleasant with their recommendations. However I am very disappointed with the lack of organisation of the management. I had upon arriving at the restaurant, informed the staff that I was going to use the HSBC Entertainer App - which listed Royal Orchid as of the merchants on its list for 2017. The staff acknowledged that, and said that it was perfectly okay. When it came to paying the bill, i put in my pin to avail the entertainer app, but the pin for the merchant did not work! It turns out Royal Orchid had not updated their details and registered. And to cover their mistake, they claimed they had not tied up with HSBC, and that HSBC had randomly listed them on their app. After much arguing and waste of time, the area manager Mr. Rahul over the phone (Who was not co-operative at all) finally gave us a 20% discount on the bill after much pleading. When I checked the matter with HSBC they clarified saying that they genuinely have a tie up with Royal Orchid and that the app should have worked. But that was not the case, a compensation should be considered as this is very deceiving and very disappointing from a reputed restaurant like Royal Orchid. If they chose to list themselves on the Entertainer, they should have made sure all details were covered. Lastly HSBC also said they should have checked with other branches to verify the code - which they did not do! Very Unprofessional Management !

Its a nice restaurant to eat thai food.

Royal Orchid is the Asian arm of the Abu Dhabi based Royal Orchid Group of restaurants. Other notable restaurants in the group include Chappan Bhog, Kwality and Kababs & Kurries. Royal Orchid is the only Asian concept in the group, and I must admit, this Ibn Battuta branch is very well done – it looks and feels the part. There’s also a delivery kitchen in Downtown Dubai. The restaurant serves what I call Indian Chinese and Thai cuisine so there’s no surprise that there is a Nepalese chef in the kitchen.

The food is good and the portions are fine. The prices tend to get jacked up to make up for the discount offered by the app so you don't end up saving as much but that's ok. The delivery time, although advertised as 45 mins in my case, is consistently about 1hr10 mins so keep that in mind if you're ordering online. Overall a good option for Asian food with a wide range of options.
We ordered sweet and sour chicken and kung pao tofu. The sweet and sour chicken had pomegranate and pickled cucumber in it that I think worked really well, but it might not be for everyone. The Kung Pao Tofu was excellent, just the right amount of chili and I liked the cashews in the sauce.

Leaving aside the ambience of this place since I have visited the Downtown branch, the staff being courteous and the food cooked fresh with decent portion is worth your time and money here. Good work guys 😊

Have dined in here multiple times and ordered in too. Love their Dim Sums and Kung Pao Chicken.

Staff were extremely rude rang to ask where the food was and they responded with “one item” and then tried to hang up then told me half hour which turned out to be over an hour wait! Not even apology, when the food finally arrived it was cold. Very disappointed
Zephyr Starrs
We ordered Chicken Hakka Noodles and Shrimp Hakka Noodles which is our usual favourite order for noodles, but instead of the shrimp Hakka we received Shrimp Pad Thai. Because it was so late and close to iftar time we didn’t want to waste time sending it back and waiting for the new order so we kept it. But did not enjoy it at all and were not able to finish it even. Quite disappointing especially after fasting all day

The food here is so expensive but also pretty bad tbh. Idk how it has 3.9 rating considering that they delivered old food to us, which I couldn’t eat and had to throw it away because I didn’t pay to eat “leftovers”. So no! This place isn’t good.
Arina23041990
Disappointed, seems big portion but... I didn’t find any fresh tomato or onion inside.. it was one small mushroom and 4 prawns.. The rest i think it was tom yum set that you can find in Carefour 6aed price and you just mix it with hot water.. With offer I paid 22 aed but in fact it worth 6aed.. wasted

Had a great experience since it was my first time to visit to this restaurant.

Must try delicious menu like:
Wasabi Prawns
Chicken Wings in Black Pepper Sauce

Staffs were all delightful and very friendly especially the manager who was so attentive and who gave a special care for us as a guests.

I highly recommend your restaurant to all my friends who love Asian foods.

Foods like chicken chilly garlic , fried rice egg , hakka noodles prawns and beef with lemon garlic chilly were all delicious.

Excellent services:
The manager always roaming around to see and ask all the guests hows the quality of the food and service.
Very attentive and hospitable.

Definitely, ill visit again next time.

We had a wonderful experience at ROYAL ORCHID today.Great food and Excellent service. JONA AND SUMIT absolutely fantastic and Their reccomended dish was a hit! Thank you so much...we'll be visiting again soon.

There was no privacy and the staff was around always as if they were hounding the table. Had vouchers for main course and had informed the staff at the beginning. We ordered Nasi goreng and noodles. The food was good. However at the time of settling the bill we were informed that rice and noodles are not main course dishes to our surprise. The waiters should have informed us as they were aware we were using vouchers.

Had been there last weekend. First and last visit. Over priced is one thing, but the quality and taste is the reason I'm rating this a 1 star.
The crab chilli buns weren't great, but ok. Barely any stuffing inside. The fried rice was a disaster. So oily! And absolutely blant! The rice was overcooked. And not the grains usually used for a Chinese dish. And the lamb chops were so rubbery. When I informed the person concerned, his response was, 'oh but that's how lamb roast is supposed to be.'
Dear restaurant, I'm sorry to break it to you, but as a foodie and an avid cook myself, I'm well aware of how each dish is supposed to be. And no dish calls for chewy rubbery meat that you can barely even cut in to. And definitely not when I'm paying 70 bucks for it!

But the rest of the staff were polite and attentive. I understand chefs have bad days too. Maybe I went there on one of those days. And since it was my first time, I can't tell if it's always this way. Maybe it's better on other days. Also, the food was definitely presentable.
But it was the response of that staff, that pissed me off. A simple 'oh I'm sorry, we could replace the meat or ensure a better service next time' would do.

We went to this restaurant as we had entertainer 2 for 1 offer on the Saturday lunch buffet. I had earlier had food ala carte from royal orchid which was good and thus had high hopes from the buffet. However, the buffet was disappointing.

They had everything starting from appetizers, soup, dumpling, main course , noodles and desserts but none of them matched the ala carte level. And the spread was not big as should be in a buffet. It seemed as if the buffet is a make shift arrangement.

Anyways I started the buffet with the shredded chicken in lemon basil which was good. The chicken dumpling was ok and the broccoli almond dumpling was better than that. I took the chicken corn soup which was fine but nothing amazing till now.
Then i had the started which i liked a lot. The best of them was the squid rings and chicken satay with almond sauce.

However the main course was again disappointing. I had the veg noodles, some veg fried rice, sweet and sour fish, pepper chicken and beef tenderloin. The only thing that was good in all this was the beef and fried rice. The fish was extremely sweet (sweeter than the desserts). And coming to desserts, they took atleast 30 minutes to replenish the desserts and they weren't good as well.

We had ordered for chamomile tea which was good and flavoury. All in all, it was an ok outing where i expected a lot more.

Amazing food! The prawn sew mai is very tasty and big! The serving of chicken brown rice basil and noodles are surprisingly suitable for 2 pax considering the price is cheap. The food was so great and very delicious. Will definitely go back for more 💕

The food we order was tasteless, not worth the price, the food was salty as well. The egg fried rice was hard.
It has been a while since I took the time to review a restaurant. Royal orchid deserves every single one of the 5 stars. Everything was AMAZING. We especially love the crispy fish with mango salsa

After a movie , a good place to grab a grub .We ordered Chicken Basil , Brocolli & Almodn Dumpling , Spring Veg roll , Friend Rice , Pad Thai Chicken , Red Curry Thai and Green Curry Thai. The food did take some time , but I dont mind it as it shows that its being freshly prepared.
The same was realised in the taste and presentation. The taste of fresh lemon grass and coconut curry was easily distinguishable
The portions were sufficient.
Overall a great place to have thai food

Overall : 4.5/5
Service : 4.5/5
Potions : 4/5
Presentation : 4/5
Ambiance : 4/5

Great place to go back again !!

We ordered veg dumplings and the restaurant sent chicken dumplings. When we called the restaurant, they were totally insensitive and asked us if we wanted a new order? When we requested them to prioritize delivery of new order, they were indifferent. So much for their service ... shows how they care about their customers... serving chicken to Vegetarian

Excellent food and service. Every dish that we tried was one better than the other. Appetizers, main course in both chinese and thai was awesome!

For the first time, a restaurant actually paid heed to my request of not sending cutlery!! Very pleased with that. All other restaurants carelessly overlook this request.
Food was great, very fresh and flavorful, not over burdened with sauces and spices. Will order again definitely.
Nicely done ambience, ample dine-in seating, not crowded on a weekend night, good service and Entertainer vouchers accepted.

We were offered complimentary prawn crackers with the sauces. It was crispy and good. Free refills were also given for the crackers.

Based on staff recommendation, checked out:

1. Mie Goreng with Chicken & Prawns: this egg noodle dish was really good. Generous portion size which was good enough to share between two people, full of flavor, ample quantity of chicken, prawns and vegetables too. AED 52.

2. Char Kway Teow with Beef: flat noodle dish, good portion size, full of flavor, generous quantity of vegetables and beef pieces. AED 52.

Both dishes were good to try as a first timer at this restaurant. Definitely value for money with Entertainer vouchers being accepted.

I am generally someone who eats Chinese food at least twice a month. I have tried a lot of places and I have to say that no Chinese restaurant has disappointed me as much as Royal Orchid has.
For the price they charge, you’d think they’ll give decent tasting food. Every single dish smelled and tasted like fish, despite all being only chicken. And not even good fish sauce or fish oil. It tasted stale and smelled horrible. Somehow we ate because we had to pay for it and took the leftovers home and ended up giving the super expensive food to stray cats.
Pathetic Chinese food and a price tag that doesn’t justify anything. Cheap Food court Chinese food is better than this.

Good food and great service. I've never had anything here that I didn't like and have never met anyone here whom I haven't found extremely kind. Great restaurant, location is a little bothersome since you'll be dining in the middle of Ibn Battuta Mall's noisy halls.

This is the 3rd time I've ordered Nasi Goreng from Royal Orchid and they never disappoint me with their taste. The portion is huge and sufficient for 2 moderate eaters 😀
Roy
The food here is genuinely good but the service is pathetic !!

We came post iftar and were literally the only 5 adults in the restaurant based out of IBN Battuta Mall. However it took the 3 servers and the captain in the restaurant forever to attend to us. They also kept looking at each other giving weird eye contacts trying to figure out who would attend to us.

I am not going to get into what we ate cause honestly we'll never be back cause of the poor and awful service.

TIP --- order in --- atleast you will enjoy good food in a loved environment. Stay away from this place as it will only bugger the way you feel.

I ordered a chicken chowmein from here but i got the vegetables one instead with loads of cabbage and oil. Was a bit disappointed by that. But it tasted fine and zomato refunded me the money so no worries.

Lovely food and good hospitality must try there fried rice and chicken dishes my parents love it. They have limited menu but well prepared...

Hard to find Chinese food that still tastes good when it’s delivered but couldn’t fault this.
Mimi
Great Thai eatery at Ibn Battuta Mall. Unlike some other Thai restaurant the papaya salad is freshly prepared to your taste and preferences, you can have a vegan version without fish sauce, so fresh and delicious!
Also the curries are pretty good but we will definitely be back for the papaya salad!

One of my favorite restaurant in Dubai serving amazing Thai cuisine and this time we went to try the saturday buffet. The variety of dishes offered at Aed 79/- with starters, mains and desserts are absolutely worth the money. Started with the hot lips which is a best seller drink here. Moving on, we had the Chicken tom yum soup with the subtle flavor of lemon grass.

I have recently moved to discovery garden and it was my first time to try food in that area.
They have weekend buffet for AED 49 which was perfect for me to try out.
An Asian Bistro serving Asian dishes at an affordable price was something I was looking for.

🎈 The food is appetizing.Being a vegetarian they have one starter, one main course and Thai green curry.
They could have more variety in veg but my non veg friends said the cashew and chicken was good.I loved their Thai curry.Another nice thing was sticky rice with mango. Now I love dessert so I expected more variety but for business lunch it was perfect . The buffet has good variety for non vegetarians and perfect for a weekend lunch.
🎈 Ambience was crisp and easy. Within a mall it was very average but ceiling was great to pull the attention too . Their hospitality was good and very receptive staff.
The best Singapore noodles in Dubai. Prawn satay is tasty & the crispy lamb is another favorite.

I have not had a bad meal from this restarant.

An Asian Bistro which is serving a buffet on Saturday in order to taste most of its dishes at very convenient prices......
.
Food🌟🌟🌟🌟.5
The taste of the food is appetizing specially the flavour full Thai curry and savoury the prawn crackers amazing and the diversified menu to go for in the Buffet from stir fried vegetables to fish from duck salad to papaya salad Even the dessert sticky rice is also Luscious.......
.
Ambience:🌟🌟🌟🌟
As this is a restaurant in the mall the ambiance is mediocre as you can enjoy the buzz of the mall and your food at the same time.......
.
Hospitality:🌟🌟🌟🌟
ASN but there is no question of hospitality but still the staff is always au courant and receptive.....

What to do when your partner wants to have Thai and you are craving for Chinese? Hit him with a cricket bat? Kill him? Thanks to Royal Orchid that I did not have to take any of the choices above: P as they are one of few restaurant in Dubai which offers a wide but a balanced spread of Thai and Chinese cuisine along with dishes from the other corners of the great far-east.

We went to Royal Orchid in Ibne Batuta Mall China Court on Saturday to try their “Oriental Lunch Buffet”. The restaurant being placed in a mall still offers quite a decent ambience and lively atmosphere with very friendly staff at your service.

We started the buffet with a Tom Yum Soup as this is the most usual thing to have while eating Thai, the soup was good and authentic but not extraordinary. They had 3 varieties of Salad out of which Papaya Salad was the best. The starters included Calamari, Chicken Satay and stuffed chilli Mushrooms which were all perfect and delicious.

The main course included widespread assortment of all the Chinese and Thai dishes, we would not name all but we will tell you the best ones so you can go and try out for yourself.

Beef-Pepper sauce, Basil Chicken with Cashews and Thai green curry were one of their best mains and the rest was also delicious but you have to visit them and try it out yourself.

It’s not possible to go to a Thai restaurant and not try their Sticky rice with Mango: P, it’s a desert which everyone should try at least once. They also served Chocolate Wontons which Ather loved it and was having one after another: P.

Over all a good experience and most importantly served both of our desires to have Thai and Chines at the same time under one roof without killing each other.

For more detailed reviews please visit my Insta Page @ sykoblogger

Ideally located in the China Cluster entrance near the cinemas of Ibn Batuta Mall.

We decided to try out some Chinese and Thai food and no better way to have them both at Royal Orchid which serves them both on a weekend afternoon.

Place is spacious and well lit.

Staff here is friendly and always around to make your dining experience better.

We opted for the lunch buffet served @ AED 79 per person.

It had a variety of items ranging from Soups to starters to Main course to desserts.

Soup - We started off with the chicken Tom Yum Soup and it was amazing. There is an option of Veg and Non Veg Soup. It was perfect enough to tingle the taste buds and get our engines started in anticipation of what would be next in menu :)

Salad - They have an option of Chicken Minced Salad / Papaya Salad / Asian Duck Salad drizzled with Worsan sauce. It was difficult to pick a favourite from the 3, but hands down papaya salad was outstanding. It was fresh, juicy and ticked all boxes.

Starters - They have options of Calamari dusted with Togarishi crumbs / Chicken satay with Peanut Sauce / Stuffed Chilli Mushroom. My personal favourite was the Chicken Satay and then would have to be the stuffed chilli mushrooms. The calamari was alright and i felt was a bit too dry. The chicken satay when combined with the peanut sauce is HEAVENNNNN .... One would be under the impression that this would be spicy, but on the contrary, this was spiced to perfection. It was one of the best items from the buffet menu for the day.

Main Course - They have a wide variety ranging from Dim Sums / Beef in Black Pepper Sauce / Basil Chicken with Cashews / Broccoli with mushrooms / Fish with Sweet and Sour Chilli Sauce / Veg Hakka Noodles / Jasmine Steamed Rice / Veg Fried Rice.

Out of them all the Basil Chicken with cashews was really nice. the chicken was tender and was marinated well with the spices.

Broccoli with mushrooms is also commendable and was still crunchy (just the way I love them) the right Thai way :)

Fish with Sweet and Sour Chilli Sauce was alright. Fish was fresh, juicy and tender.

The Fried Rice and Jasmine Rice was aromatic and cooked perfectly. However I felt the noodles had something missing. It was just alright. Can be improved.

Desserts - Crispy Chocolate Wantons with Raspberry Coulis / Tab Tim Grob / Thai Mango on Sticky Rice.

The crispy Chocolate wantons with raspberry coulis is basically wantons stuffed with soft pieces of chocolate in them which when dipped in raspberry sauce is awesome.

Tab Tim Grob is something new and would be worth a try. This is presented in Shot glasses. Contents are coconut milk with something crunchy and chewy cubes which accentuate the taste of the dessert. This is kind of extremely sweet.

Thai Mango on Sticky Rice is something which is recommended. The best part about this item is that it is not too sweet and one could actually feel all the notes of this dish. Has sticky rice combined with cream and mango pieces. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Overall I would say that this place is worth a try as it combines Chinese and Thai cuisine under one roof. Staff is friendly and service is quick.

Would be back to try out their A-La-Carte menu.

RECOMMENDED

It was empty when we went, so the service was very fast and the portions were huge - I guess it's good for the end of a tiring shopping spree in Ibn Battuta Mall.
However, I found the prawn dish to be too oily and the curry too spicy for what they were supposed to taste like, so I settled for my friend's Tom Kha soup, which was right on point
.
Kate Vysotskaya
We ordered pecking duck, wasabi prawns, soft shell crab on the glass noodles plate, mushrooms and broccoli, beef wok. All the ingredients were fresh, except for the duck, which was a bit dry and hard to chew sometimes; the accompanying hoisin sauce had a perfect thickness and sweetness. The soft shell crab dish is very distinctive with a subtle, tasty spiciness of the glass noodles.
Overall a positive food experience and recommended to try.

Bad food coupled with bad service . Ordered Thai red curry with Egg fried rice . It felt like that the curry was cooked with half components not available in their kitchen . Prawn crackers were stale . The restaurant manager does not know how to manage the place . Even with two or three tables occupied it took more than 20 mins for the bill to arrive after multiple requests .

Evening visit to this place was a random selection. But it was a hit. Early dinner before move was a good choice with less crowd and quick service of food ordered. Spicy, tasty, mouthwatering food.

Ordered, papaya salad - which was fresh with spicy dressing of thai chillies, lemon juice and herbs was mouth burning effect. Broccoli and almond dumplings - it was soothing dish after a spicy salad. When you don't have any dips with the dumplings, you can dip in the salad dressing which was a hit taste. Spring rolls was nothing extra ordinary, crispy served with ketchup. Veg chowmein was not that spicy but with tasted pretty decent with mild spicy accompanied with four veggies in holy basil n garlic semi gravy main dish.

Taste - 5
Service - 5
Ambience - 3
Value for money - 3
Presentation - 4

Overall - 4

Though vegetarian options are very less in most of these restaurants, enjoyed with whatever available.

Happy me!
Nassim
Great service, lovely atmosphere, food was super quick to come on the table.
The kai Phad krapao was different however was a bit salty for my taste buds.
The hakka noddles were great.
The siracha prawns were yum yum with a taste of lemongrass

Asked for red curry but was sent green curry - was still nice

This is about the floor manager Mr Rathore and his amazing hospitality. Would say I have met one of the kindest men around in dxb. Was out with family and Setup at a restaurant in ibn battuta wen my toddlers eyes locked up on food being served in the next restaurant Royal orchid. The explorer in my kid went around and started drooling at the food over there. Rathore on duty however happened to see this and helped my kid with a bowl of super tasty noodles. Even thought I forced him to bill me, he was so reluctant to bill a small hungry kid.

Seriously one of the most humane gesture. M defntly gonna visit this place to try their dishes.

Meanwhile yes the noodle was amazing. Which makes me eager to slot a visit

I Ordered hot and sour soup as comfort food for flu. The soup tasted more like a curry rather than a soup. Unfortunate! I Would not order again.

We went for a family dinner to Royal Orchid. We ordered Sriracha Glazed Prawns, Beef Teriyaki with Wasabi Mashed potatoes and Peking Duck. The place is calm and they have good staff. You get prawn crackers with a selection of sauces as a complimentary starter.

We liked the sriracha glazed prawns as it was their rendition of the dynamite shrimps. It tasted good, the prawns were juicy, the coating was crispy and creamyness stayed away from being oily. All in all a good starter.

The Peking Duck again was good to share, all the condiments and accompaniments to the awesome crispy on the outside juicy on the inside duck worked pretty well in the rolls.

Had it not been Royal Orchid, i would have thought the Beef and Mashed potatoes was a non-asian dish. Regardless of whether it was asian flavours or not, the beef was juicy and perfectly made with a lot of respect for the protein. While the mashed potatoes some how gave a great balance to the meat once tried in the same bite.

All in all it was a good experience and would try them again.

After 1h 30 minutes recived the order, I can understand that but can't understand the staff that I was speaking with, that they don't care. Totally lack of customer services and manners.

I called to remind them that not to send the spicy food but of course I got the spicy meal.

Hope that someone is reading those reviews and not to order from those guys.

Restaurant is a BomB.
Ambience is too Awesome..
Staffs were Resplendent..
Food was Divine..
Gone for tasting their Royal Saturdays Buffet Style. Loved the widespread variety of all Oriental dishes that were in the Buffet. You name it there is Dimsum, there is Singaporean Noodles, there is Papaya Salad, there is Jasmine Rice, there is Vegetarian Thai Fried Rice, there is Sticky Mango Dessert..
Lets start with the Drinks/ Mock tails
Melon & Mint Lemonade - As the name says it all Lemonade added with any flavors always give the Kick of Refreshed feel. Mint & Melon does it all and its not sour which is the way i prefer Sweet.
Oriental Breeze - I did not taste this but looked too good. Had the feel of Oriental fizzy feel.
Hot Lips - Loved the way it was presented. Red heaped snow in the middle of my Strawberry drink a real bliss. Sweet and demanding to be sipped more and more. Such an seductive Drink.
Juicy Pattaya - My favorite drink. Had all the right taste flavours. For the evening this drink went well with all the food i gobbled in. Yeah i am one person after a mocktail drink i sip water but this mocktail just did not require that.

BUFFET FOOD

SOUP
Tom Yum Soup (Non-Veg) - Soup is served veg and non-veg. Who does not love Fresh Herbal Thai flavored Soup. I love it in seafood and chicken form, so i ordered the Non-Veg. Every time i sip this soup soothes my nerves, stress and tension. I also find this soup very effective while i have Sore throat or down with a cold. Comfort SOUP.

SALADS
Thai Papaya Salad - Thai Salads are the Enlightenment for Healthy Diet. Its the dressing that gives the kick. Crunchy peanuts and cherry tomatoes are like Divine combination to the Papaya. Personal favorite.
Royal Asian Duck Salad - Juvenile sliced fried Duck strips with Baby Gems Lettuce and Pomegranates drizzled with Hoisin Sauce. First time trying it and yes its added to my favorite Salad list. Salad with non veg always is pretty wholesome deal for me. Strip Ducks were not rough as it is moistened by the hoisin sauce. Pomegranates added to Salad or even appetizers gives the oomph factor.
Minced Chicken Salad - A very simple yet classy non veg salad. Minced chicken with Basil and lime juice all drizzled. Don’t like heavy but want to have salad. This will be the go-to Salad.

STARTERS
Chicken Satay - Satay with peanut sauce. Combo made in
Heaven. Love Satays but i personally don’t love peanut sauce on my chicken. My logic is chicken is a pretty heavy deal and peanut sauce makes it even more heavier which makes me crave for a lot of water. I also feel peanut sauce is lacking the kicky saucy flavors. Maybe I am wrong but this is my take. Loved how thinly the chicken had been hammered so as an appetizer with peanut sauce was a good deal.
Calamari with Tōgarashi- Crispy Calamari dusted with Tōgarashi Spices. Spicy but super cool Japanese appetizer. Personally i loved this and first time trying Tōgarashi. Basically its Japanese chilli peppers but the very good deal ones.
Stuffed Chilli Mushroom - Oh Boy at first glimpse i really thought it was chicken as i did not read the placard. Chilli Chicken. But after i tasted i was still thinking why the chicken flavor not tingling my taste bud. When i enquired came to know it was Mushroom. This stuffed mushroom is the real hero of the day. It was not at all spicy but piquancy level maintained. I am definitely trying this recipe in my kitchen.

DIMSUM
Chicken & Basil - Rice cakes are super healthy since no oil is used neither in filling also in the rice cakes. Oriental filling in the Rice Cakes are the best. I actually have them without the sauce as the filling be it chicken and seafood
gives utmost relishes. Love the technique rice cakes are designed in. It takes years to master that.
Almond & Broccoli - Veg option of dim-sum. I loved both. Broccoli was cooked/blanched very well. Almond was resilient in the filling. But i enjoyed it..

MAIN COURSES
PLA RAD PRIK (Crispy Red Snapper) - Thai Tangy sauce laid the crispy red snapper flesh. Sauce was Tangy and Chili. But not at all overpowering. Fish was super fresh as there was no stinky fish smell while eating or even after eating.
KAI PHAD MED MA MUANG ( Basil & Cashew Chicken) - Nutty curries are my favorite. Saucy and not spicy combined with Jasmine Rice. It had more of the Chinese spices added. It was soy flavoured but not at all overpowering.
Traditional Thai Red Curry - Thick coconut gravy with all the Thai veggies. I loved this one as it had lot of similar Singaporean laksa soup piquancy. Went so well with the Thai Veggie Fried Rice and even the Jasmine Rice. Personal favourite right here.
Mushroom & Broccoli - Stir fried broccolis and mushrooms in supreme soy sauce. Personally i was not a fan of this maybe its because i had such relishing curries with lots and lots of flavours. I did not feel the kick. But on a lighter version i think this saucy veggie curry can go well with Singaporean Noodles.
Beef Wok Seared - Tenderloin beef wok seared with assorted bell peppers. I loved this as a i am a wokkie styled food is my thingy. Thinly beef tenderloin hammered well and cooked so subtly can never go wrong. Combined with Jasmine Rice pure Heaven.

RICE & NOODLES
Jasmine Rice, Thai Veg Fried Rice and Singaporean Noodles Vegetarian. Loved the Singaporean Veg Noodles.
Eating this without any curry or add ons is a must have. Veggies used added all the piquancy and noodles were sooo thin i mean can gobble lots and would not feel that you had lots.

DESSERTS
TAB TIM GROB in Shot Glass - Tried this for the very first time. Lots of jewels in coconut milk. Water chestnut cubes soaked in different colors acts as the rubies in this thick coconut milk. I was Ok with this dessert like not my favorite.
Thai Mango on Sticky Rice - I love this dessert and each restaurant i have tried it always told a lot about the dessert. 10/10 for Royal Mango Dessert. Consistency was correct. Sticky rice was soaked well in the coconut milk syrup and mango melted well into the sticky rice. Overpowering of coconut was not there but i felt its because of the fresh coconut milk or cream used.
Chocolate Wontons with Raspberry Coulis - Crispy Wontons stuffed in Warm Nutella chocolate dipped in raspberry sauce/coulis. Dessert Heaven. Loved this sooo much. Subtle not too sweet but keeping the rhythm on.

Oriental Buffet that covers up most of the main cuisines found in each part of Asia is worth every penny spent. This Buffet starts from 12 pm until 5 pm. Options in Veg and Non-Veg available so the healthy diet can be maintained. Quality and Quantity maintained. Family get-togethers and the Hearty Asian Meal. All the starters and Dim Sums had sauces but i never tried as the appetizers as it is had the kick and savor.
SATURDAY BRUNCH BUFFET SORTED 🥰🥰🥰

Some Restaurants are one of the Kind , Royal orchid is one of them . From your first step in the Restaurant you can feel the authenticity and genuine atmosphere. It's a restaurant that you can trust as you can see the food been made by great chef. The portion size is not too big but it's value for money. The overall experience was great and it turned better with the drink. My special mention to Mr Rathore as one of my guest have dietry restrictions and he personally took care of that .

Ordered food last night. The food taste and quality was very good. Portion size worth the price. I just wished it didnt as long as it took - over 60 minutes, the order had to come from ibn batuta, I'm staying in discovery gardens.
I'm definitely ordering again provided I'm not too hungry and expect a faster delivery or at least the same time it mentions on the app :)

Attendees didn’t welcome us properly. They didn’t explain the menu we’ll enough and which items are valid for entertainer. apart from these only the noodle was good.
Possibly the best Thai restaurant in the region. Authentic flavors and well prepared. They used proper ingredients and cooking techniques to replicate any dish that you would have in Thailand.

For my love of Asian food, I accepted an invite for the bloggers meet hosted by Socialism.

If you live around or are up for a drive, you must check them out! Whipping up some comforting Thai food, accompanied by beautiful decor and outstanding service!

The session started with a drink and soup.

My drink - Oriental Breeze. The drink was cooling and refreshing. Definitely helped in keeping me cool.

Soup - Sweet Corn Chicken. I went in for a half portion just so I don't end up filling myself.

Starters
Sriracha glaze prawns with nori tempura - One can't go wrong with a prawn dish. They were so flavorful and portion sizes were pretty huge as well!
Stuffed Chilli Mushrooms - It had the right balance of flavors and spice. Loved this one too.
Chicken wings in black pepper sauce - I'm not a wings person, but I did go ahead and try this. I loved the coating on it. Very delectable.
Dim sums - If y'all know me, you'll know I don't like my food slimy, which is why I usually prefer fried dim sums. This was average for me.

Mains
Chinese fried rice - If I had to pick between rice and noodles, I'd usually go for rice. It's the ultimate comfort food for me.
Singapore chilli prawns - This was my favorite. What a well balanced dish it was! I savoured this one. Also, I love anything with prawns in it.
Basil and cashew chicken - I'm usually not so much of a chicken person, however, I did enjoy this dish. Generous amount of chicken and cashews that went well with it.
Sizzling cumin lamb - Another dish that I enjoyed. Not very often will you find a lamb dish in an Asian cuisine restaurant, but complete justice was done to this one!
Hakka Noodles - I'm not always Gaga about noodles, but since I got to have both, I dug my fork into this as well! It was equally delicious! Loved the sauces used in it.

Desserts
Tam Tim Grob - I absolutely love coconut desserts! So when I saw this on the menu, I couldn't wait till it made it's way to our table. Basically it's a coconut filled with coconut milk, scraped coconut pieces and Chestnut fruits. If you've had Thai desserts you'll know exactly what I mean! It's my all time favorite Thai fruit and dessert. It's a very refreshing and tasty dessert.
Crispy chocolate wonton and raspberry coulis - Friend wontons stuffed with chocolate, topped with raspberry coulis and whipped cream. This dish wasn't my favorite, considering I don't like chocolatey desserts. Nonetheless, good for the chocolate lovers.

Absolutely loved the food and service here! Definitely recommended.

Follow me on instagram- @The.fluffy.potato

Visited Royal Orchid for dinner on a weekday.
The restaurant is located inside Ibn Battuta Mall, right next to Novo Cinemas, in the China court.
The interiors of the restaurant are very classy and chic. They also have an open kitchen where you can see the food being prepared right in front of your eyes.
As for the ambience, the restaurant has a very casual ambience, which is perfect for a meal with your family or friends.
The staff in the restaurant is very sweet and smiling all the time, and make sure that all your needs are taken care of.
The presentation was top notch and the flavours bang on!
Coming to the drinks, I had the Oriental Breeze. It had just the right amount of lemongrass in it, which didn't make the flavour too overpowering. Perfect to beat the Dubai heat!
For soup, I had the Chicken Tom Yam soup. It smelled absolutely delicious and is great for a sore throat!
For starters we had the Sriracha prawns with nori tempura(Had a good kick to it!), chicken wings in black pepper sauce, stuffed chilli mushrooms(TASTED HEAVENLY!), broccoli and almond dim sum(Not a big fan of broccoli so didn't like it much) and chicken and basil dimsum.
For mains we ordered Sizzling cumin lamb(It was so smoky!), Singapore chilli prawns, basil and cashew chicken(My personal favourite!), Thai green curry, claypot Sichuan vegetables, tofu black pepper, crispy red snapper fillet(Loved the sweet after taste).
To go along with the mains, the sides we ordered were Chinese fried rice and hakka noodles(So flavoursome!).
For desserts we got the Tab Tim grub(So happy I tried this out. Not a big fan of coconut but I absolutely LOVED IT!) and Crispy chocolate wonton with Raspberry Coulis(The wontons were so decadent! Couldn't get enough of it!).
All in all, a very decent restaurant with great food, beautiful presentation and economical prices!

My Recommendations- Oriental Breeze, Tom Yum Soup, Sriracha Prawns, Stuffed Chili Mushrooms, Sizzling cumin lamb, Basil and Cashew Chicken, Red Snapper Fillet, Hakka Noodles, Tab Tim Grub and Chocolate Wontons.

Food- 4/5
Ambience- 4/5
Value for Money- 4/5

Royal Orchid located in Ibn Batuta Mall is a great choice for it! The place with a traditional yet modern interiors, sophisticated ambiance pieces, great food and some good service, this place has tons to offer. Started the meal off with the drinks. Juicy Pattaya being the first with a quirky name but an okay taste. This drink could have been slightly chilled and happening in flavor. Next one was the Oriental Breeze. As the name suggests, this drink was rather refreshing! The taste of fresh mint and lemongrass with a dash of lemon was the refreshment of the night!

Being Foodie
ROYAL ORCHID

Asian Cuisine is a fav of any Indian/Pakistani. I was invited for a bloggers tasting at one of my fav in Dubai Royal Orchid, Ibn Batuta Mall. Their interiors were so colorful yet very chic. I specially loved their ceiling lights.

We were given a set menu which was served to us. There were drinks, Appetizers, Dimsum Selection, Mains and Desserts.

Drinks
1. Oriental Breeze - This drink was their version of a lemonade with Lemongrass twist in it.
2. Juicy Pattaya - This was my preference in the drinks because it had all my favorite fruits in it like Orange, Pineapple, Mango etc. I loved the fact that it did not have any artificial sugar in it.

SOUPS

1. Tom Yam Chicken/Veg - This soup is a very popular Thai Soup which is very similar of Hot & Sour soup with ingredients like lemon grass, kaffir lime leaves, galangal, lime and chillies with either chicken, shrimp or vegetables in it. I like the flavour of lemon grass in it but its too spicy for my taste.
2. Sweet Corn Chicken/Veg - I love this soup since I was a kid. I ordered the chicken option and loved the consistency of the soup.

STARTERS
1. Sriracha Glazed Prawns with Nori Tempura – This was my favorite non-vegetarian starter because it had the right crispiness and the right amount of spice in it. Prawns are an all time hit specially in Asian cuisine and if they are batter fried then nothing could be better than that. The Sriracha sauce added the right tang to it. The dish was topped with crispy Nori Tempura.
2. Chicken Wings in Black Pepper Sauce – This was their version of chicken drumsticks with a black pepper sauce. The chicken was juicy yet properly cooked and the sticky sauce was an absolute delight.
3. Stuffed Chilli Mushrooms – This was the hero starter because the batter tasted really good and the stuffing was a perfect partner for it.

DIMSUMS
1. Chicken & Basil Dim Sum – These have been my favorites since a long time from Royal Orchid. I have always ordered them everytime I have visited their estaurant. The reason I like them is because the chicken is very well seasoned and the basil adds the freshness to the dimsums.
2. Broccoli & Almond Dim Sum – I really like this combination for a dimsum but wasn’t very impressed just because the almonds were too overpowering.

MAIN COURSE
1. Singapore Chili Prawns – This was my hero dish in the mains because the prawns were very luscious and the sauce had the right equilibrium of chili and a bit of tanginess.
2. Crispy Red Snapper in a Spicy Thai Sauce – To be honest I never order fish when I dine out at an Asian restaurant but this dish changed my mind. The fish was cooked flawlessly and the sauce had the accurate Thai spices in it.
3. Sizzling Cumin Lamb with Onions & Leeks – This dish was something I had never seen in any menu at an Asian restaurant. The ingredients complemented each other very well but the taste wasn’t for my palette.
4. Thai Green Curry with Exotic Vegetables – For me Red Curry is the only thing I order in terms of curries. But this green curry was so delicious and vegetables tasted excellent in it. This was my hero dish in vegetarian mains.
5. Claypot Sichuan Vegetables – I love food in claypots and this dish did justice to claypot dishes.
6. Diced Tofu in Black Pepper Sauce – Tofu is undoubtedly my preference in Asian food. I loved the black pepper sauce in this dish.
7. Chinese Fried Rice (Veg) – This dish is the best comfort Chinese dish of all times. The best part about this specific bowl of rice was the crispy garlic topping.
8. Hakka Noodles (Veg) – This dish was the best hakka noodles I have had in a long long time. These got back my childhood memories from Delhi where we used to love eating noodles tasting like these.

DESSERTS
1. Tab Tim Grob – This was a Thai dessert served in a peeled coconut. The coconut was filled with coconut milk and some colourful carved coconut chunks and coconut cream. If I was ordering desserts I would have never experimented with this but im glad I tasted it.
2. Crispy Wonton with Raspberry Coulis – Chocolate & Berries are a hit combination and adding crispy wontons to it was a win win.

The service was so prompt and quick. The servers were on their feet to make our experience smooth and had a smile on their face throughout the tasting.

Offers – 1 + 1 on Main Course with Entertainer

Taste : 5/5

Ambience/Décor : 3.5/5

Service : 5/5

Value of Money :

Relishing indo-chinese food has now become accessible and convenient. Royal orchid, located in the China court of IBN mall is pretty accessible from one of the entrances. The ambience is subtle and does have a Chinese Thai hint to it. Seating is ample and spacious too. Service is super prompt and the manager ensures that the guests are having a good time and enjoying their meal.

Was invited for a tasting session and am super happy that I went. Lets see what I gobbled here:-

1. Tom Kha Soup: it was every nit delicious. The sprinkling of coriander on top added a kick. Personally am a coriander fan, so adding it to my soup is a sure shot way to win my heart. Besides, the broth tasted delicious too. Give it a try.

2. Stuffed chilli mushrooms: Am fussy and choosy when it comes to mushrooms, often asking if mushroom could be taken out from my dish. But this one here looked delectable and when I saw fellow foodies raving I couldn’t control and took a bite. It was soft within, crunchy outside and flavorful. Definitely a starter I recommend

3. Broccoli and Almonds dimsum: Not all will like this because of the presence of almonds, but I for one enjoyed this dimsum and helped myself with a second serving. It was a simple dimsum with mild flavor, but one that I enjoyed.

4. Veg Chowmien: the chow mien was so comforting in taste and so Indo-Chinese too. Indians can relate to the taste of the chow mien here, as growing up our taste buds are used to this flavour. I took three servings, so that speaks for how much I enjoyed this dish.

5. Thai curry: Thai curry was creamy and tasted nice. It was presented beautifully in a pot, with a candle below that kept the curry warm-hot. It went will with the chow mien and fried rice.

6. Tam Tim Grob: This was a Thai dessert and a super delectable one, probably one of the Best ways to finish the meal. The coconut flavoured milk with edible coconut pieces (malai) was refreshing and cool. For those who love the flavor of coconut ice-cream, this dessert should be on your must try list.

7. Chocolate Wontons in Raspberry coulis : Little wontons came filled with chocolate sauce within and a layer of raspberry drizzles on top. This was a bite sized desert and I personally didn’t like it much. Especially, because my eyes were glued on tam tim, which was better than this one.

Overall, a delightful experience and one that filled my stomach to the brim. I am definitely coming back for more chow mien and soup.

The place is not only giving u an impression of eating in the Far East but serving the food with Authentic Flavors. Love the look of the restaurant, so calming, tropical and so asian. The service was phenomenal! It was sincere and pure just like their food, no dramas just pure delicious flavors.

Royal Orchid restaurant at Ibn Battuta Mall, serves up some comforting Thai food, along with good service and soothing ambience.

We started with some delicious Tom Yung Chicken soup, which had well cooked shredded chicken pieces and a comforting flavor, and the lemon grass was subtle. This wasn't too spicy and is a great way to start dinner.

This was followed by broccoli and almond dimsums in cute little bamboo steamer baskets, and was tasty considering we aren't generally fans of broccoli.

The chicken in black pepper sauce and Sriracha prawns tempura were tasty, chicken being a bit on the spicy side, was presented well and had enough pieces to go around the table. The prawns were well cooked and we loved the combination with Sriracha sauce.

The starters ended with stuffed chilli mushrooms, which stole the show. This dish was so wholesome and tasty, that we got two more plates. The mushroom was well cooked and presented in bite sized balls, this dish is definitely recommended !

The mains started with Red snapper fish, fried and presented in a spicy tangy red sauce , looked really appealing. One of us found the sauce a bit too sour, but the fish was fried to perfection with the right amount of crisp to go along with the other mains.

The basil and cashew chicken was okay, the cashew pieces were a good foil to the chickens flavor, didn't get a whole lot of basil flavor.

We loved the Thai green curry, presented in a traditional pot, and was really great when had with the fried rice . Recommended!

The sizzling shredded lamb, flavored with cumin, onion and leek was a hit at presentation, and tasted really good, although with a hint of Indian flavor to it, maybe because of the presence of cumin, but is a must try, as the meat was cooked very well, and is not spicy. Recommended!

The noodles and fried rice served along with the courses above was more than filling. Special mention for the noodles, as all of us at the table were equally impressed by the flavor and texture .

The desserts- Tam Tim Grob - this was the star dessert , coconut milk with flavored water chestnuts. The presentation in a tender coconut shell was complimented by the taste which was really good and soothing, without being too sweet and is a great way to finish off the dinner.

We also had the crispy chocolate Wontons with raspberry coulis , which was really delicious in itself, but paled in comparison to the Tam Tim Grob.

The drinks we had were Oriental breeze - a combination of lemongrass and Sprite, and juicy Pattaya - with orange, pineapple and mango. We liked the juicy Pattaya better.

The interiors are subtle and is oriented towards providing a calm dining experience. The staff is very courteous and accommodating, serving with a smile.

A good place to have some Thai food and to rest after the long shopping strolls in Ibn Battuta mall.

Visit date 9th September 2018

Royal Orchid is a fine Chinese culinary experience. Located aptly within the China Court of Ibn Battuta Mall, it fits in perfectly and adds to the court décor.
The ambience is elegant with usage of sober colors and well lit. Loved the cluster of lanterns in the center which made the place sparkle.
Food was delightful with special mention to my favorites below and the service was remarkable. Everyone from the managers to the waiters were super attentive and friendly. Special mention to Ruth for going the extra mile to ensure we had a great time! The quantities and pricing were average for all the dishes.
Winning menu items for veggies were as below:
The juicy Pattaya drink: Perfect blend of mango, pineapple, oranges and peaches. Loved the color of sunset it had. Very refreshing and flavorful.
Sweet Corn Soup: Big portion and excellent consistency. It wasn’t very thick and corn floury like the usual places. Biting into corn pieces added to the taste.
Stuffed Chilli mushrooms: This dish stole the night. It was extremely tasty and coated with amazing sauces. Even the non-veggies loved this dish more than their non-veg starters. Must must must try.
Veg Hakka Noodles: An absolute favorite and definite try. The noodles were very well done and bursting with flavor. We had them by itself and did not require any gravy.
A delightful restaurant for good Oriental food with authentic flavors. Recommended!
Food was great, service was fast however I think it’s pricey for the size of the serving. But if you are craving for Asian food, this is the place
Have Mouth, Will Taste
A pleasant little restaurant at the end of Ibn Battuta, this looked like a nice option for some Chinese food. Sooo:

Food:
Prawn Chip Passivetizer - the chips were pleasant and the spicy sauce had some nice heat
Jasmine Tea - nice and soft and kept warm
Tom Kha Soup - slightly thin but had a good heat and aroma. Very tasty ingredients as well
Prawn Siew Mai - good hearty taste as they was plenty of filing well packed together
Togarashi Tofu - could have had more tofu, but the ingredients were wonderfully cooked and the sauce was subtle but decadent
Chili Garlic Chicken - a bit average with a decent sauce that was actually a touch too sweet
Veg Hakka Noodles - pleasant but a bit too soft
Chinese Fried Rice - again pleasant but a bit bland

Service: mediocre as the food came at an average rate and occasionally we had to ask for things repeatedly

Ambiance: a lovely little Chinese theme that I enjoyed

Bang for Buck: could be better, especially since you are forced to get such big portions and a starch

In summary, a rather good place with some small suggestions.

Good ambience, polite servers, amazing food.

We ordered kung pao tofu, vegetable dumplings with manchurian sauce and singapore noodles- no complaints

The serving was good enough for 2 people.

You can customize your curry as well by choosing the vegetables.

But 3 star coz they served prawn papad to me. I am a vegeterian and i had one so you can understand how i must have felt. On being asked, they served kimchi salad in place of that. That's the only complaint i have, otherwise the food is worth trying for.

Loved and not just liked the food. But Indians who are strictly vegetarians must ask about if any item is veg or non veg. I was avoiding non veg food for long now. Couple of things went wrong at the restaurant which need to be immediately corrected.
1) was given non veg starters/snacks inspire of ordering everything veg. It’s only after having the snack I felt the taste to be fishy and the waiter on being asked told me it was some item with prawns as ingredient. Some strict vegetarians can really have serious issue with this . Must address this. That too when some holy month is going for some customers.

2) No one attended ya fir a good 10 minutes. May be they were short of staff.

3) The only good thing about the restaurant is the food taste and presentation. Just loved the vegetarian dishes I ordered.

They must start taking the vegetarian customers seriously, very seriously.
Visited for lunch and had the lunch offer which was pretty good. Had the chicken winglets and beef tenderloin both of which were good along with the fried rice. Service was good as well.

Surprised that I haven’t heard too much about this hidden gem especially since I like Thai food

Had a plate of spring roll and a chicken starter (which I can’t recall ) Both of them were more than satisfactory.

We ordered the Nasi Goreng and the Thai veg, curry which were super delishhhhh 👅

Love Thai? Go go go
Nice chinese food!

Was OK, the fact that I had such high hopes or I just really missed eating nice Thai food so my expectations were to the roof! I wasn't at all disappointed, aside from the fact that they didn't have Thai ice tea in a Chinese and Thai restaurant, it was all in all OK but a bit pricy... Had the duck, Tom yum, Nasi, and the siraracha shrimp...

We went for a late dinner . The food took too much time and the serivice was super poor. The waiters were very inattentive and slow throughout.
Meal - dinner
Our order - chicken spring roll , chicken haaka noodles and chilly chicken
Taste -3
Value for money -3
Ambiance - 2
Service- 1
Overall experience - 2
The food is good and the service attentive. We were a group of 8 and ordered their different set meals. Everyone appreciated the food, be it the Thai green curry or the tofu or the fish or the pad Thai noodles. For 50 dhs it's a starter, main course and a soft drink. Service is good and food is also flavorful. Portion sizes are good too. It's great idea for quick yet filling meal.

We ordered for the spicy basil fried rice and the nasi goreng with some chicken gravy ,the quantity was decent for a big eater like me ,The quality of the food was ok i have tasted better nasi goreng n basil fried rice , as they are two of my fav dishes ,the service i felt was poor as the serving staff needed to be more friendly ,ambience was alright for a restaurant in a mall ,overall jus ok .
This was my first visit to IBn Batuta Mall branch of Royal Orchid . At about 9 pm it was after Iftar so wasn’t very busy . I found the service to be quite slow and lacking . Food once served after a long wait was decent in taste . I feel staff needs more training .

Went for a movie in ibn batuta. After the movie decided to have dinner at this restaurant. To start with the service was below par. We had to prompt the staff to come to our table to take the order. The food was served late. However the food taste was the saving grace. 3/5 is for the food.

Royal Orchid, was truly a culinary delight and I dont say this lightly. Even now writing and thinking of it, my tastebuds are drooling and wanting more of the amazing, flavourful food that I had here. Located in the China court, next to the Nov cinema this is a beautiful set place. Decent table arrangements, gives you a feel of being in a Asian out house, colorful and elegant. This place can easily sit up to nearly 75 ppl.
Started off with Oriental breeze, which was a decent drink, to start the evening, there were lot of flavours going there, with lemon grass, they had about 5 other mock tails on the menu as well. For the soup I went with the Tom Kah soup with prawns, I went for this than the normal Tom yam which we normally go for. The difference here, is this is made from Coconut milk, tasted good, with a balanced flavours here, coconut was not overpowering. This is not a spicy soup, I liked it, but if you want something spicy, that will hit your senses silly ( pun intended) go for the Tom yam. Along with I had the Sriracha glazed prawns with Nori tempura. This was really good, the Sriracha was perfectly mixed in this dish, with each bite you get the strong flavours but when you bite into the prawns, you get the sea flavours of the prawns, lovely, the Nori ( edible seaweed) was a nice touch. The presentation was clean and nice.

For the mains I had to try their Pad Thai, which comes in a nice cover of a whole egg, first time I saw a presentation as such. Man, this portion was good for two, really nice, Hot and delish. whatever the ingredients the chef used here was working, even the prawns were tops, This is a high recommended dish that you should go for. The wonderful smell which comes with the steam,, man. it does something to your senses. loved it. We had the half traditional roasted peking duck, this comes with pancakes and relishes. The duck was perfectly crisp and a dark golden brown in color, For a duck fan like me, this was really good, the thin slices were eacy with the roll in the pancake and with the relish, man this was something. You should go for it too.

Now, the Asian love affair is not over yet and how could you leave without even having Dessert, and yes, that we had too. Went for my favourite , Thai mango with sticky rice.... and then my mind went.. shabadaabdabddababaddaaa.... ( ya right,, you got it ) man it was really something special. mango was perfect ripe and the rice was perfect sticky, both in my mouth was having a dance of joy... Yes.... Yess... that was so fantastic. What a journey that was..... I am coming back here...

I loved the service here, Adrian and Ruth were great hosts and a special mention to Rex, he was a pleasant helper, guiding me thru the menu and suggestions. Thank you Rex and team for looking after me. It was one evening that I will always remember.
