Chicken Yakitori by @yakitate_dubai

Five grilled chicken thigh skewers immersed in Teriyaki sauce 🤎
The supposedly burnt lemon wasn’t burnt at all 🤷♀️.. nevertheless, the Teriyaki sauce was absolutely on point. 👌

The waiter Santosh is very humble and
friendly.Food is super tasty. Shisha is good.
I frequently go to Yakitate at Al Ghurair for my Japanese food, bakery and bubble/bobba tea. I love them.
When I heard it opened in Ibn Batuta, I gave it a try.
Less choices of bakery goods (maybe due to covid times) but everything else is as good only that I prefer the staffs in Al Ghurair not to say the staff in Ibn Batuta are bad, just not as friendly maybe.
Perfect ambience.Dimly lit and comfortable seats with a beautiful view of the Ibn Batuta gate.Ideal for couples. My go to place for yummy, gooey and affordable Japanese mochi. They have a variety of flavours and have introduced a few new flavours ( pumpkin, black sesame) . Found a new all time classic; cream horn. Purchased the chocolate and pistachio cream horns. It was lightly sweet and perfect. The pastry was crispy and not soggy. It was loaded with high quality chocolate and pistachios. Tried the potato kanikama cajun sticks. It was to die for. The sauce which accompanied it was delicious and tart. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. My most favourite authentic Japanese restaurant in Dubai.
Great place for lunch. Tasty meals and delicious desserts! A taste of Japan in Dubai
I really like sweets and drinks from Yakitate, and especially their mochi. The customer service girl is always friendly and helpful. However the food was often too greasy and heavy for me so I've stopped ordering it.
It was my first time here at this outlet and I absolutely loved it. A bento box always viewed on social media became a reality. I also had the floating noodles special. I would love to visit again and try out their other items.
This is an amazing Japanese bakery and restaurant. The only place I know in Dubai which has the original Mochi dessert and different flavors of bubble tea. Highly recommended.
My absolute number 1 go to for milk teas and pastries. Dine in experience is good too. Their food presentation exceeds your expectation. Truly, it's like eating with your eyes.
For those of you who love a lil' shot of #chilli ,or in this case #tajin #seasoning in your #healthy #drink - @yakitate_dubai @ibnbattutamall is the place to be🍹🥢🍣

The lunch deal is great and the food taste good. The servers are very attentive and the ambiance is cozy. You can also have shisha and now that’s it’s winter, they extended their restaurant to have an outdoor sitting. It’s one my favorite Asian restaurant in the area.
STOP and READ! This post will save you time and money when you are craving for JAPANESE FOOD. The Ramen is spot on! We were concerned about the milk tea being too sweet but it was not painful to the tooth at all. Mae has recommended all the right flavors, sweet and savoury, to make this meal the perfect day ender.
Thank you Yakitate!
Money well spent
I have a long relationship with this place and i am trying out everything in the menu one by one. I love the sushi burgers and appetizers. The katsu curry with that salad is the heartiest meal you will ever have. The drinks are refreshing with wide variety to choose from. Request for lemon if you like yours more tangy or acidic.
You will be amazed by the coffee variations of you are a coffee lover like me.
We discovered this place literally by mere luck. We were about to leave the mall and we saw the hostess and food signs outside and decided to check the menu, then we decided to stay. It was one of those sweet surprises. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming. The staff were super helpful and recommended some really good dishes to us.
What I would recommend: Royal Salad & Volcano Sushi & the dessert (croissant base topped by a jelly with a texture similar to Turkish delight (flavor - coffee) - please check picture :)
What I would not recommend: the Ramen Burger - it was bland and we asked for extra chilies spices to add to the mayonnaise to give it some flavor. Baked cheesecake was also 50/50 to me personally, but again I was never a big fan of cheesecake and my sister ordered it. I would go definitely for the other dessert instead
I can’t wait to try this place again and dig into new items from the menu!
Highly recommended!
thank you so much for the management to respond so well and efficiently to my complain and resolve it to their best virtue! very happy with the service and the drink was very tasty this time with the bubbles being cooked well and being an overall very good drink! thank you yakitate hope you keep the consistency thank you!

Was trying to find a big cake within a short period of time (and one that doesn’t break the bank) for my going-away party and I stumbled Yakitate’s crepe cakes at Ibn Batuta Mall. The team was approachable and were more than happy to assist when I asked for the top to be customized. Ordered a vanilla crepe cake as most of my colleagues weren’t that much of a sweet tooth and I must say, I got a lot of thumbs up on this! Their cafe menu is also mouth-watering! Brought a couple of friends over at the mall and we were all stuffed! Wish they had a cafe branch in AD!
Perfect! Food was great and fairly priced. The ambience is chill & cozy and the staff were all friendly. Can't stop myself from getting something to go 😁. Recommended to fam and friends.
I love the bakery section of Yakitate, from the pastries to the desserts, they all look so cute and are delicious.
Felt like buying everything, however, we ended up settling for their Makkuro Kurosuke, Oreo Hokkaido Cupcake and the Speciality Cheesecake.
Japanese pastries have their own uniqueness, not only in terms of how they look but also the way they taste, which is unlike any other pastry I've had before. I enjoyed the food a lot.
Can't wait to come back here and dive right into their extra-cute pastries.
The food was great. Staffs are friendly and service was good. This is one of our favorite food stops.
My friend's fave is yakitate's version of Okonomiyaki. Mine's their salmon bento and milk tea drinks
Where do i begin, we ordered edamme for starters. We ordered the crab salad, chicken katsu, the dragon sushi burger and the classic. Everything was so delicious the dragon had a bit too much mayonnaise but the crab salad is so fresh and yummy! We ordered the cheesecake for dessert it was fresh and soft, the purple potato crepe cake was light and yummy but the flavour could be enhanced, and a few others which were up to our expectations. The siphon coffee had a delicious aroma and the presentation was entertaining to watch.
I highly recommend visiting this place for a good time!
Has always been delighted at your Al Ghurair branch. Good food, cute ambience and friendly staff members. We tried their savoury menu for the first time and had gyu don, tori katsu curry don, bento that has 6 appetiser sampler, seafood miso ramen, lemon and sangria tea. Don buri meals were all worth it. It has really generous serving and yummy. The bento sampler has a little bit of everything you can try in one order - it got yaki tori, edamame, dynamite, fries and two more tasty dish. Tea drinks needs a bit more improvement as we can only taste the tea and sugar syrup in it and not much of the lemon and muddled fruit. Overall, i’d recommend it. We were 4 adults and couldn’t barely finish the whole order that it less than 200 aed. Also, there’s an ongoing promo for pastries so we grabbed some on our way out. Good deal aint it. Cafe/restaurant space is quite small though, so better to visit it when it starts to get cold and you’ll definitely love the outdoor seating area.
Accidentally came across this place.. And it’s a totally hit.. Food is amazing.. staff is good .. jus a cozy little place to hang out on a lazy afternoon
Nice place to dine in , the staff very friendly, good service ,Great pastry selection ..prices are reasonable not to forget the coffee its amazing , very good tea selection
Best cream horns in town. One must try it. Tried their oreo cake and chocolate cake, but the best one is Cream horns. The cream inside is real cream, not the sugar coating.
Food was great especially the yakisoba and the macha tea was so nice.Their sweets are nice too with reasonable price, worth trying again some of their menu...highly recommended.
Food is absolutely excellent , great selection, beautiful desserts and amazing flavors ! I have brought everyone I know here, my only problem is the staff, although they are nice and welcoming, each time I come here the simplest tasks confuse them, they are slow and it honestly ruins the experience. Staff needs to be trained with logic and sharpness and be more responsive. This is a problem with their training not the people themselves. For Ex: don’t bring dessert before food, and bring the drinks with the food not 30 min later. I love the place though!
I have no words to explain the feeling of ecstasy I get when I try the desserts from yakitate. It was by chance I happened to stumble upon this heaven and would continue to do so in the foreseeable future.
Awesome authentic japanese dishes and pastries!! Excellent service as well! Would recommend the Ramen and the cheesecake. Location is a bit obscure though, would have been great if they had one in MOE or Dubai Mall.
I love this resto that they have in al ghurair... So I brought my family here on this branch this time.... Mother-in-law ordered the noodles, very unique presentation, good taste and was quite new on their menu.... Me and my friend ordered my favorite sushi burger, it was served a bit cold so needed to preheat.... My husband ordered a nice Donburi meal.... Ambiance was great although the location inside the mall is hard to find.... Staffs are friendly.... Will definitely come back for my favorite, as this resto fits my budget....
Stumbled in here today for the first time and loved the huge selection of sweet and savory pastries!
Tried their coffee square croissant, strawberry sponge cake, cream cone and their chocolate banana croissant.
Thought their presentation was so super cute, the taste of the pastries themselves were quite good too but I would’ve preferred the coffee croissant to be fresher.
Overall was impressed with this place due to the very low prices for quite yummy pastries- a rarity in Dubai to find something so cute so affordable. The staff were also very helpful and extremely friendly!
Ambience: 8/10
Location: 6/10
Taste: 9/10
Price: 10/10
Service: 10/10
Tried the French toast with caramel and mocha filling bread.
Simply soft and just fills you with all the flavor.
Yakitate has the must try’s new pastries in town.
Such a pleasant surprise to see a proper Japanese bakery. Loads of variety from both the savoury and sweet section. And they also have mains etc. Had no time to eat in so did a take away.
Hokkaido tarts - 5/5 so yummy
Small original soufflé - 3/5 texture inside was a little dense not light and fluffy
Mochis - 4/5 yummy. Too small for the price.
Mocha Brioche- 5/5 huge and packed with flavour.
Choc Banana Milkshake- 5/5 this is a meal by itself!
Waiting to eat in and try some of their mains. Quality is good and service staff are friendly and very helpful. Food is quite pricy. Nice ambiance. Nearest parking is towards the Carrefour/Daiso side which I think is the Andalusia section.
Go visit if you are tired of wannabe Japanese bakeries offering a few mochis and cheesecake 😜
I had so little time ti spare for lunch as there was a back-to-back schedule that day. Lucky enough to have one meeting near IBN Battuta and was able to sneak into Yakitate one afternoon for a quick bite before heading to the next appointment.
Ordered Okinomiyaki and cheesecake. Okinomiyaki basically is very similar (if not the same) with takoyaki only that it is flat (like omelette but thicker). It consist of generous amount of cabbage, egg mix and few shrimps in it. The portion is big, can be shared by 2 diners I supposed if you’re ordering other item. The taste is tasty and satisfying however my very comment to this is that there’s too much Japanese mayo on top, it’s a bit overwhelming.
Cheesecake remains to be one if the yummiest item in the menu. Best served when it is slightly warmed in the oven. Describing it makes me want to have one right now!
There are a lot more interesting items in the menu. Personally, I like the selection of pastries by the entrance which can be paired by my favorite matcha latte. It is the cutest matcha latte I have tasted so far.
Yakitate is one of the restaurants in Dubai I’d like to always go. It’s cute concept and food presentation are very inviting. The prices, though, for the hot food items are quite pricey. Pastries and hot drinks prices are reasonable. Will I come back again, OH YEAH!
If you are craving for simple Japanese food and pastries, milk tea, this is the best place to be! Affordable food and excellent service! They are also selling different variety of pastries.
Fantastic bakery I haven’t tried any of the savoury hot food yet, however I definitely will. The cheesecake is delicious, so soft and light. Great place to take children as the baked goods are so playful.
5/5 stars can’t believe I never knew about this place before. Love this place! Amazing food and desserts and good prices, Pat was very friendly and helpful. I will definitely becoming back!
Beautifully decorated Japanese restaurant/cafe located conveniently next to Carrefour in Ibn Battuta Mall, so perfect for a bite after shopping.
The food is amazing, they also have a good selection of sweets, cakes and other bakery items to take away and enjoy at home.
They have both smoking and non-smoking areas and also offer shisha.
So, I decided to experience something from Yakitate today for the first time. The very 'praline french toast' caught my eye at once and without thinking twice I did have a bite! Heaven was the word in my mouth! True bread lovers must come here! I'm definitely going to try more Japanese dishes, next!

Favorite restaurant in Dubai. The food is amazing, from the appetizers to the desserts. I’m always having salmon and avocado sushi burger, tofu rice noodles, matcha crepe cakes, chicken gyoza. Also, Japanese cheesecakes are amazing. Love this restaurant so much.
At Yakitate, it's always a battle between staring at the food and actually eating it. This Japanese boutique/bakery/café represents the art of Japanese cuisine and not only does the food look ridiculously adorable but also tastes really good! They specialize in baked goods (cakes, pastries, savory bread) and my absolute favorite is their cheesecake which is as soft as cotton and just melts in your mouth.
As for their food, I've made multiple visits to try different dishes, and there were no let down! - The chicken gyoza is juicy, sushi is an absolute must-have here (California, dragon roll, shrimp tempura) so is the sushi burger. I've had the donburi from their lunch sets. The quantity can be easily shared between two! From the beverages, I always stick to their passion fruit iced tea which is supposedly their bestseller. If you're more of a milk tea fan, do try the taro milk tea with boba.
This is their second branch at Ibn Battuta Mall with a separate shisha lounge. The staff is great and are always recommending dishes. Besides the food, the highlight of Yakitate is the décor. It’s pink, pretty and displays their sweet & savory filled bread in the shape of cute characters that is almost too cute to eat. Almost! Also, if you’re looking for an alternative spot to catch the cherry blossoms, this could be the place :)
I love Japanese bakeries and Yakitate is a great one.
Everything is reasonably priced and delicious. They have alot of interesting buns and cakes to try, you can get something different every day 😉. All are freshly bake and satisfying.
The best japanese pastry and reataurant so far! I love all of their pastries specially the brulee. Tori katsudon and their bentos are delicious.
New Japanese place @ibnbatutamall.
They also have the sheesha and smoking and non-smoking areas are different.
We visited the sheesha area. The place is beautifully decorated with Sakura blooms, origami birds.
We went there to just try the sheesha, but ended up ordering their bento box and drinks.
We tried the matcha milk with bubbles and peach mojito. Both drinks were great.
Was in love with their bento box which consisted of edamame, harumaki, prawn fry, crab in Cajun sauce, chicken gyoza etc.
I had loved the bento box and ordered the same thing again after few weeks, the taste was just okay. And the minimum order amount was 70 Aed which was a little disappointing.
Each dish here looks so beautiful and delicious that by seeing the dish only you will feel like going to this lovely and beautiful restaurant.
Ahhh.. Actually we didn't thought it was going to be good. Cos the first impression with the milk tea was kinda bad. As you cant really taste the Assam Tea and Taro is ALWAYS not available..
However the food wassss Delish! absolutely recommend it! the Gyoza and Maki roll was one the new favorite.. Would definitely be back for it to hang out on a usual Friday or Saturday night... And for a tip take everything except TARO MILKTEA.. 100% it wont be available.. nonetheless VERY NICE. 🥰
OMG! What can I say about this restaurant, it is a paradise for foodies. Best kept secret in Dubai. It has the very best Japanese food ever in the whole of UAE. It is totally great value for money and not to mention the portions are super generous and the presentations are out of this world!!! Their desserts, drinks and savories are to die for. The staff are very attentive and super polite. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Their shisha too are not too bad although I think they can improve on the quality but still it excellent compared to so many shisha cafes out there. From what I have heard from the staff the owner wanted to make a restaurant that was affordable with quality that was not to be compromised!!! Well done, just for the Food, Price, Service and Quality this restaurant gets my full respect!

This place basically pulled us out of a run to have a simple sub before a shopping day. We weren't sure that their attractiveness would hope up, but...
Food:
Gyoza - juicy and flavorful as it had a great broth like taste inside of a well cooked exterior
Fried Onigiri - slightly bland, but in a nice and light way. It can be expected of onigiri and pulling it off despite being fried was very good
Beef Ramen - the noodles were soft and fresh-tasting with a spiced broth that was potent but delicious
Kyoto Breakfast - a nice variety of simple breakfast foods that just met your needs
Hokkaido Cheese Tart - a fabulous tart with a thick cheesecake-like filling that was wonderfully delicious
Japanese Apple Croissant - a pleasant, airy croissant cube with some nice apple filling in it close to and saturating the bottom. Still, rather good
Service: everyone was very nice and clear as to how long the food would take
Ambiance: adorable although small setup. It did feel slightly cluttered, but mostly that was from baked goods, so it's hard to complain
Bang for Buck: good prices for the quality we got
I really enjoyed this and can be definitely be expected to return
We had an amazing experience dining in here. They have varieties of breads and desserts which all looks inviting! Toasted bread, uhhmm! So good with butter, honey and jam. Orange juice, freshly squeezed and sweet! 👍 Our host served us well and accomodated our needs. Both Hazel and Pat provided us a superb service. We keep coming back here not only for the exquisite food but the quality of assistance they are showing. Thumbs up for the yakitate ibn batuta team! keep it up!

First time I know about this restaurantwas when I'm craving for a japanese bread and I found them in al Ghurair Mall. It's far away from my place but defenetly worth a drive!
and now they were opened at Battuta Mall which is closer to my place, and I always go there wherever I went to Battuta mall to have a pieces of bread or cake, a cup of tea or event for a lunch meeting
The foods are delicious and the atmosphere is so calming, modern and naturally bright.
This place is awesome, great for Japanese bakery products and a wide variety of Japanese food. Great selection of drinks and fairly priced, will definitely be back. The breakfast menu looked interesting as well.
Yakitate probably was the most awaited cafe for me. I knew about it’s existence from the first branch in Al Riga, however I was always only promising to go there and check it out and there was no limit to my happiness when it finally opened in IBN Batuta! Service is always very friendly and attentive. Food is fresh, delicious, creative and most important very pocket friendly for all the things I listed! If I don’t have time to join them for proper meal - I will never leave shopping mall without taking some treats. Desserts are fantastic- especially the cheese danish and Totora. Menu is big enough and has variety, maybe a small suggestion to have some rolls with raw fish would be nice.
The ambience and the staff make this place what it is. Service is really great. The ambience gives off a cozy yet classy vibe. There’s a section for dine in and another for both dine in and shisha.
I love the sushi here. The last time I visited I had a strawberry sangria, it was a little too sweet but I enjoyed it regardless. If you want a good good with a little bit of quiet, I recommend this spot
A perfect Japanese cafe experience in Dubai right from their ambience to menu. To top it they have shishas! I love the atmosphere of this cafe, it’s so cheerful and the staff are nice too. The menu has a huge selection of Japanese delicacies- pastries, desserts, beverages, savoury and main course.. all of them at unbeatably reasonable prices. We tried the the dragon sushi burger which was on my mind since a long time and it didn’t let me down! It’s like eating a giant sushi which is nothing but goodness in each bite. The chicken gyozas were juicy and full of flavour and the beef hambagu steak served with rice was mind blowing! The Japanese cheese cake was not jiggly for some reason but it tasted divine- just the right amount of sweet and cheesy.
Service is a sure thing in Yakitate. The servers were prompt and attentive. They make the patrons feel welcome. The breads are good and nutritious. I like the way how the server make recommendations and inform us of their bestsellers. The food portions are very good for the price and delicious too. The California maki was fresh. Orders didn’t take too long before they are served. Overall, very pleased with the service.
LOVE the classic milk tea and cakes!
The cakes are lovely and tasty!
Been there several times, they do home delivery as well, will order more!
Enjoyed our quick family bonding in the Ibn Battuta Mall branch. Staff are friendly and accomodating. The area is bit small and hope they can extend the area for non-smoking diners.
