The food was too good, we simply cannot get over this place! . Here's what we ordered off their scrumptious menu:
1. 'Lemon Pepper Chicken' : Such a satiable plate, with varying undertones of flavours and ingredients, combined to form a colorful presentation. Deliciously-marinated organic Chicken breast coated in Pepper-Panko Crust, now you know things get crunchy when 'Panko' is involved. The crust was well-spiced, hints of Lemon elevates the dish. Beneath the yummy Chicken is a bed of Spanish Rice, truly fragrant and served hot, I just had to keep digging in(even though it wasn't my order). Finally, this dish is accompanied by their heavenly mixed fries and Fennel Slaw. To me, this was the 'Dish Of The Day', just perfect!
2. 'Beef Burger' : Don't be fooled by how simple this Burger seems. Not only are their Burger patty homemade, they layer it with a unique Orange-Mustard Sauce, providing that tang and sweetness all together in one BIG BITE! . This eat is also paired with Tomato, Beetroot(well thought of ingredient to include, due to the hints of earthiness being tasted), Cheese(ain't NO BURGER complete without some), and what I love about this Burger is that, instead of using the usual Lettuce, they chose Purple Lettuce and it does make a difference in terms of presentation and taste, because, it doesn't make the Burger seem boring. Now comes the best part! . They serve all their Burgers with Mixed Fries, just take me to French Fries heaven already. Super crispy Fries, varities of Potato, well-seasoned, fresh, and I can go on and on...
3. 'Coconut Curry Rice' : Firstly, the plating and color combination of the entire dish is an added advantage to feel hungry. Secondly, let me tell you all about the simplicity of this Thai-Curry. At the center is a heaped amount of sticky rice garnished with crushed Peanuts. Surrounded by organic Chicken slices cooked to tender-perfection in thick Coconut-Curry, that wasn't too spicy or bland, just about right. The Curry also includes crunchy Snow Peas and Carrots(love how they maintained that crunch in the veges). Also served with thinly-sliced Purple/White Cabbage, this elevated the dish in terms of providing it with that extra crispness as you devour it with no-regret. Dont forget to give that extra-Lemon drizzle on the top! .
4. 'Thai Green Curry' : A warm combination of all the Asian ingredients made into a wholesome meal. This traditional green curry is cooked with Snow Peas, Mushrooms, Capsicums, the star-ingredient, Kaffir Lime(really makes all the difference in the curry, intense and yum), Thai Basil and organic Chicken(or Tofu), along with Rice served separately. Such a flavour-packed dish, there is a lot going on and yet, scrumptious-ly balanced.
Apart from serving a variety of mouthwatering dishes, Amongst Few Café also has a variety of hot/cold beverages to choose from. So, we settled on:
- 'Rose Lemonade' : This has got to be my most favourite drink out of all the drinks I've had! . Made with pure Rose extract and ofcourse Lemon, not only does this drink look pretty in subtle pink but tastes just as good as it seems. The two main ingredients compliment each other so well.
- 'Mandarine and Seville Orange Jigger' : The flavours are quite pungent and full of citrus tones, along with Ginger and Herbal extract, that's evident as you sip away. If you're the type that loves a good dose of tang/sourness, this is the kind of drink you should be having.
These drinks are best when poured in a glass of Ice Cubes(which they do provide along with the bottles) and consumed, due to the strength of the flavour, it cannot be drunk alone, hence, a wee bit of dilution is required.
The ambience of this entire eatery is beyond relaxing. They have an outdoor seating area with comfy furnitures, makes you just want to curl up and breathe all your stress-out. I love how they thought of adding tall windows, allowing that wintery-sun to seep in. A sophisticated café with cool concrete interiors and a dash of modern-vibes. Excellent customer service skills, quality of food, the portion sizes were generous and filling, the time taken to serve was good and significantly, a well-maintained place.
This café is a must go!
