Outstanding food with high quality ingredients. Very light and fresh. Amazing ambiance and excellent customer service. Highly recommended
This is a must try restaurant with excellent Indian street food, the portions are good and the flavors are great... I enjoyed everything I ordered. The potato Pav was by far my favorite... I just wish they served masala dosa
Came here for the first time for lunch today. Lovely ambience with lots of light and good decor. The food was delicious and presented well. The quantity too was just right. Excellent service as well. Aditi who was looking after us was as sweet as she was professional. Good experience on the whole.
No words to describe about the food being served here ... absolutely delicious. This was our third time and the team managed to recognise us. Clean and sanitised environment made us to visit us again .
A friend of mine dragged me to this place as he badly wanted to try. I am not very upfront when it comes to eating Indian/Pakistani food outside, but i anyway got tagged along to give it a shot.
Food- Love Love Love their food. Once we were done with food, I couldn’t thank my friend much to introduce me this place. Firstly, my food pictures are not at all great quality, but i am still posting of what we ate. For starters we ordered Raj Kachori & Pani Puri, even though they are Indian street snacks both of them were soo fresh and full of taste. My fav was chicken tikka masala, it was bursting with flavours and the spice was just so right for my taste buds. Shrimp curry was again a super hit, silky, smooth and rich gravy was the star of the dish. On the other side Mutton Biryani disappointed me a lot, don’t even order if you like spicy Biryani. Desserts were again very okayish and didn’t really hit the mark. We ordered jalebi and kulfi something, both were average.
Ambience- Its a small little restaurant, they can surely work more on the ambience as the tables are too close to each other.
I would definitely would love to fo back their, safe to stay if i want to take my parents for some Indian food, this place it is!!
We had ordered the Bombay toastie sandwich, filter coffee and karak chai. One of the few places where they make fresh milk tea without sugar. It was absolutely yum! Loved the sandwich as well. The service is great. Would definitely recommend.
Good ambiance and I loved the decor. Tasty food and well served. Loved the veggie cuisines as well. They have tasty desserts.

Visited the restaurant for the first time today for lunch and had the best experience in a long time. Great ambience with a lot of light and good decor. The food was excellent, tasty and well presented. The meat dishes cooked to perfection and the vegetarian dishes too very good. Every flavor authentic. The desserts were the icing on the cake. All in all a wonderful experience. Kudos to the chef Adwait. Adith who took care of us was as sweet as she was professional. Definitely will return
This place is a must try.this is my favorite amongst the few Indian places in Dubai. I would highly recommend to eat in.
The Raj kachori is absolutely delicious and they make fresh jalebis at the restaurant and serve it crispy and fresh which reminds you of India and makes you very happy.overall the food is really good and most of the dishes won’t disappoint you at all.
Amazing experience and very good service .. Always love to dine in at mohalla restaurant
My first time experience in this restaurant was great! I enjoyed the ambience most importantly. It is conveniently located which can be accessed easily. I loved the staff of this restaurant : lovely and friendly all the time.
The items were well garnished and attractive enough. The seating arrangements were comfortable.
Everything we ordered was delicious and the staff is very friendly.
It’s a different experience comparing to other places with indian food. I totally recommend it!
An amazing restaurant, top quality food and excellent service. This is one of the restaurants that I’ve been to that serves amazing food and very quick as well!!!
This is a casual upmarket Indian restaurant. The food is really delicious. I especially liked the prawn dishes. Even the vada pav was surprisingly good.
There were a couple of dishes that I did not like much.
For a detailed review with all the dish names, click Read Full Post below.
Kathi roll , bhutta chaat , chilli paneer , raj kachori , panner butter masala , egg rice everything we ate was good. After a long time enjoyed every dish.....
Such a gorgeous place. Amazing food and picturesque restaurant. The live music was just something which added up the ambience. The crowd was so peppy and good. The menu was one of its kind and for a Mumbaiker like me it definitely summed up my evening. The food was fantastic, little over rated prices but overall a good experience for me and my kids.
Love their homely cosy colourful furniture! Authentic Indian cuisine, must notbe scared of spicy...vegan options available.
I visited this place by accident but in love with the ambience and food.
Staff were friendly and warm.
Very creative with their setup and the food offered to customers.
Highly recommended!
Always on a quest to find the BEST biryani, think I may have found it... it was spicy and absolutely delicious. Only issue would be portion size this was supposed to be for 3 people... barely made it to 2 or maybe we’re just greedy IDK 😂
Being in a mood to have some good food we headed to Mohalla located in D3 which is one of the sleek place in Dubai with ample free parking bang opposite the restaurant. Mohalla deemed to be one happy and jolly place to be. The place is huge and seating can adjust groups of all types.
Complimentary Dosa Crisps were served with 3 types of chutney which was very unique. We ordered for sugarcane juice which was very fresh and tasted heavenly. We then started off with chilli chicken with crackling spinach, cheese n vegetable maggie, bombay toasty and kheema mattar with pav. All were just incredible, my favourite being kheema matar with pav. A must try.
For mains we just tried the lucknowi seekh kabab biryani. It was basically minced lamb kebab served with very aromatic biryani rice. The salan and the raitha which came as sides was awesome. the seekh kababs were perfect, flavorful and not overdone, it had melt in the mouth tendernes.
South Indian coffee and karak chai was a perfect way to finish the scrumptious meal.
So treat yourself with these and many more delicacies which are being served in Mohalla this winter & celebrate the cold season. Without a doubt, I'm coming back soon!
My Indian friends introduced me to Mohalla and by far the best Indian restaurant I have ever tried!
This place is located in dubai design district...perfect place for the couples, nice ambience, desi food with modern twist..tried their mutton seekh kebab, chicken kebab n mutton hyderbadi biryani..food is very tasty
Mohalla is a newly launched outlet which has indoor and outdoor seating as well in dubai design district.we visited this place last month and found a crispy prAwns fried in poha..this is the first time am trying such thing and believe me it was just 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻 am going back again for this for sure..everybody going please try this dish and share your advice. There mutton biryani is also of great quality and quantity.
Mohalla
Have you been to Mohalla yet? It’s one of the newest additions to the eateries located in Dubai Design District, and truly lives up to its name that translates as “neighborhood” in Hindi. This one transports you into the bustling streets of India, and spoils you with a variety of flavors too irresistible to miss. Honestly, it’s very seldom that I go to this side of the city, mainly because it’s located far from where I work, but I was really very happy to see how busy the place was on a Saturday afternoon when I did happen to drive down there. I, along with a friend, went for an early lunch so it was around 2 o’clock when we arrived and the place was already 80% occupied with just two vacant tables, one of which was reserved for us. Imagine how glad I was to have made a prior reservation!
The staff of Mohalla was extremely courteous; we were greeted by a gorgeous girl, Aditi, who assisted us with the menu as there were some new additions on it. Moreover, as this was our first time dining at Mohalla, I wanted to play safe and decided to order some basic starters, which were namely Chilli Baby Corns, Prawns Poha and Prawn Chop Suey. All of these three sounded very interesting and were listed as their new additions, and each one of them blew my mind away! Anyone who knows me closely knows that I am a corn addict, and literally I had never had such delicious Chili Baby Corns in my life at any Indian Chinese place ever! I’d therefore highly recommend this small bite to all corn lovers.
The Prawn Chop Suey too was a very soulful dish. The balance between sweet and sourness of the Chop Suey gravy and the quantity of prawns, everything was perfect and absolutely worth every penny. We also got to try the Sour Mango Wings which were served as a very good portion. The pricing was pretty decent too, so if you like raw mangoes do go for it.
Moving on, we were already so full with starters/appetizers by the time it was time to order main courses, so we opted for only two dishes that were Mutton Biryani and Prawn Curry. Both arrived as generous serving and very different than the other. The Prawn Curry was served with glass noodles which we found to be absolutely brilliant, while the mutton meat of the aromatic biryani was so tender that we didn’t have to make a lot of efforts to break it off the bone.
To end the hearty meal on a sweet note, we had some Kulfi with Mango, which turned out to be yet another delightful offering at Mohalla. So, overall it was a very pleasant dining experience and I cannot wait to be back again to treat myself to more items from their delectable Indian Chinese menu. The restaurant is open 7 days a week and they start operations at noon till late in the night. I’d advise to make reservations whenever you plan to go, and don’t forget to share your experience with me after dining there!
Amazing mughlai/Indian food is available at mohalla; they have a outdoor and indoor seating; Staff is very courteous ; ambience is good; the kadak chai at mohalla is amazing and one of the best in Dubai in whatever options I have tried; Food items to be tried are vada pav, Bombay toast/sandwich;garlic naan, chicken tikka, kadak chai and tomato shorba. Must visit in Dubai Design District
Mohalla is a pure feel of Gather of People for Food at one place.
We visited with friends. We were all in a good mood and had the best Non Vegetarian meal 🍴 there.
Food is good in taste. It is a must try.
Anyone who goes to Mohalla needs to try their Boti Kebab, the taste was out of this world! The meat was properly cooked and well seasoned and went perfectly well with their butter naan (has to be the best I've had in Dubai). The customer service was superb, they paid attention to every detail and made us so comfortable. I went for a lunch meeting and will definitely go back there with my family in the nearest future
Welcome to the world of amazing Indian kitchen 👌🏻this food is so tasty and so fresh,😋I love the interior and friendly staff ,so many interesting dishes to try , one of my favorite is mango cake 😌 I am not surprised that at Mohalla they always have visitors because this place is really special 🔝🔝🔝 .
Excellent food and ambience. Love outside seatings. Best mango cake I’ve ever tried. Well recommended shrimps with coconut sauce
Ethnic decor, spacious and calm with outdoor seating.. It’s a nostalgic feeling to see the interiors that take you back in time to a neighbourhood most of us can relate to. The service is good and so is the food.
Situated in a glitzy and avant garde ‘Dubai Design District’ Mohalla Restaurant is the ultimate place to engage your taste buds in bursting rich flavours of India.
Looking for a Indian restaurant with mordern twist at a reasonable price? Do check out @mohallarestaurant which serves food with lots of colours and bursting rich flavours, they are located at @d3dubai. Love their interior, they also have outdoor seating available.
Pic 1 - Bellini and Botanical Berries Ale: Both the drinks were quite refreshing with amazing combinations and names. Bellini was my favorite it had a great peach flavor.
Pic 2 - Mango Chicken Wings: Unique combination but the taste was really good.
Pic 3 - Beetroot Kebab: It was a bed of spicy chickpeas with soft beetroot kebab topped with peanut chutney and salad. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, this was sooooo delicious😍
Pic 4 - Chicken Korma: Chicken stuffed balls in coconut gravy, this unusual combination had a nice taste.
Pic 5 - Kulfi Falooda with Mango: This is their signature Falooda, it was sooo good. It had big chunks of mango kulfi on the bed of falooda with some pieces of mango.
Overall all the dishes were quite yummy and filling

Some of the best Indian Street food in Dubai, the Eaj Kachori is a must try. Place is very comfy, quite big and there are always seats.
At This restaurant we experienced a modern Twist to some of our favourite street food of India.
We ordered for
- RAJ KACHORI
- BREAD PAKORA
- BHEJITABLE CHOP
We loved the platting and the tastes of these dishes.
For the mains we enjoyed the :
- Mutton Biryani (
chucks of well done and very tender pieces of meat served on a bed of long grained aromatic rice.
- Malabar Chicken Korma (chicken meat balls dunked into thick gravy ) which goes well with steamed white rice.
For the drinks:
- Passion Fruits two ways
- Bellini
These get the plus for its refreshing taste and look.
Overall our experience was great !
- friendly staff with great attention to each table
- Ambience is warm, vibrant and welcoming
- Ample of seating, inside and outside but advance booking is recommended
Just had lunch at Mohalla, simply loved the food, absolutely delicious and modern touch to the traditional Indian food, guacamole papri, mango chicken was just so good, simply loved the mutton biryani, and the korma,
Location just perfect right in the heart of D3
We discovered this Indian mohalla/community style food haven just by chance. We wanted to finish off our evening by some desserts and chanced upon this busy place with a laid back charm. It was thronged by the local Emiratis, who are very fond of Indian food culture. We found a large outdoor seating area with small shrubs and plantain trees, some old iconic mo-bikes and rustic machineries thrown about in semi darkness. The brightly lit indoor was a different world. A desi ambience has been created with jute carpets hanging down from high ceilings, jute and wooden colonial style furnitures adorning the dining area. The wall to wall open kitchen allows us to view the busy kitchen staffs preparing the food with zeal. The menu and tabling has artful pictures of various motifs and portraits of colourful and emotive indians from diverse aspects of life. The wall has a huge depiction of a kaleidoscope of hurried metropolis by an artist from India. The servers are quite challenged by the task of serving the voluminous populace waiting to be fed. Sometimes that delays the personal attention. •Luckily we found one fellow bengali server- Soumak, who guided us throughout the dinner very tenderly. We found a chef too from Calcutta- our home. That made us twice as happy , as we felt at ease immediately. ● Our orders- 1. ●Pani puri- aka, Fuchka at 29 dhs. Very very well done indeed. It was deconstructed and presented to us with a very nice plating, the tamarind water and mint chutney in separate bottles. 4.5/5. 6 pieces of thin empty flour balls stuffed with mashed potatoes spiced up and the sauces to be added, making up a glorious heavenly spheres of delight. Specially loved the touch of plating it with a scrap from a newspaper, which has been customized by the restaurant, with prints of Mohalla times headlining the piece. Cute work. 2. ● Calcutta Kathi roll. 39 dhs. Another speciality from Calcutta. Though it was cut up in half and presented in a different way, the taste was surprisingly very close to the original. Basically a wrap with spicy chicken with gravy, it gives a solid punch. Well done. 4.5/5. 3. ●Jalebi with RabRi. 33 dhs. As with Ice and fire, this oft-favourite north Indian dessert combo is a sure fire hit. Probably the best of the lot. Large quantity of cold RabRi to be matched with hot oven fresh jalebis, are the sweetest gourmet items to be tasted. 4.5/5. In this case the jalebis were rightly made pretty thin but slight more time could have been given to be soaked in the sweet syrup. Anyhow still done nicely. RabRi was done in the correct north Indian way, a homogenous mix of malai, milk solids and sugar in a white mix. In our side of the world, we make it differently with layers of thick layers which develop, after boiling and cooling the milk over a period of time and then mixing with minimal sugar. I liked this one too. Truly enjoyed our lascivious dessert escapade. ●They have a wide variety of streetfoods and crowd favourites from the width and breadth of India, which not an easy task. Also they have tried to keep everything simple and tasty. I specially liked the intense imageries and etching and engraving of the tables and furnitures which reminded me of the illustrious days of India. •Also liked the delightful way of presenting the menu with a beautiful image on front like a coffee table book. The price point is premium, and the place and ambience is also is premium. Overall, I would say, this is a off the beaten track nice gem of an Indian restaurant, which must be tried by gourmet and foodies alike. Highly recommended.
Beautiful place , like hidden gem in Design District. The Ambience is very nice. The interior design is great . Went for breakfast. Ordered Bombay Toasty with Egg sandwich and Puri Bhaji with Karak Chai. The service was quick, staff was nice.
The presentation of the food was nice. But the hype got fizzed out as the food was not so great in taste.
Probably need to visit another time to try different food on menu.
Overall the experience was good
If you love indian food with little modern ting this is a apt place to check out. I tried few of their dishes which were drool worthy. One thing I liked in particular was the rustic ambience of the place which quite desi. I tried 2 of their mains both of which had me from the first bite. Definetly recommend their *Chicken balls in coconut gravy*.It had a sweet taste to it with the rich flavour of coconut which blended in quite well with the warm and juicy chicken balls. To end your meal I definetly would suggest you to try out their filter coffee as it is quite authentic in terms of taste. All in all it is 10 on 10 fine dining restaurant, easily comparable to the restaurant greats like tresind and farzi cafe with a great ambience to enjoy a meal

Good food for sure 😋😋
The ambience of the place was pleasant. Situated near the Dubai Design District the crowd was also nice. We ordered a Paneer Butter Masala and Garlic naan, Butter naan and a tandoori roti. The taste was fantastic.
we often tend to stick to our regular haunts, but one day last week, evoked to the conscious mind, the living embodiment of the mythologist Joseph Campbell’s immortal advice; “I say, follow your bliss, find where it is, doors will open where you didn't know they were going to be”.. we decided to take the bliss follower in us together and wander by d3dubai - the fashionable quarters of Dubai Design District, and my delight knew no bounds, when an unexpected turn, on a street which already boasts a strong dining destination, showcasing a playful twist - least bit pretentious to its surrounding gastronomical libations, appears the exquisite Mohalla Restaurant that seldom did we contemplate would just bliss us out... (my dictionary defines the word bliss as extreme happiness and serene joy).. and I can tell you that this sort of bliss was not even on my radar...
.
truth be told, the one glance of the rich handwoven jute carpets hanging from the ceiling and the rattan grand Peacock chairs that first caught my eye, convinced me that I was looking into no ordinary Restaurant, and I wanted to see if the food was equally as magical and nostalgic as the Restaurants intriguing name - an ode to the street-food cooking styles of the local gems in the community neighbourhoods of our Incredible India taking a center stage right here in the beating heart of mydubai’s on-trend foodie landscape...

featuring a tantalizing fare of an adventurous culinary and fine-dining experience on a level you never imagined, with its well curated lip smacking menu made for the eyes of an adult and the belly of a 10-year-old, serving to you a fusion of delectable concoctions of dishes with hints of nostalgia savored into each mouthful that will fuse to the senses the flavors of yesteryear favourites you can’t get enough, from the likes of...
.
the most compelling and absolute yummilicious bowl of the two-minute wonder maggi noodles, steaming hot in a league of its own - no ramen options in town simply could match.. absolutely yummilicious, with the heartiest amount of amul cheese (that I’m told is directly sourced from Mumbai), artfully chopped veggies bubbled their way on top the carbo-load of comfort noodles and the deep luscious note of masala, may well be the best maggi we had ever eaten.. I felt compelled to dragging the back of my thumb across the inside of the bowl to gather every last bit of the leftover masala and cheese.. that my son took to it like a rabbit to a carrot, though it came to him with no novelty as it did to my generation...

and if that dint quite spice up your hunger pangs, take on the house specialty and classic Anglo Indian colonial bengali mutton kosha toned down to a milder version, homage to the railway mutton curry, cooked in the Indian railway canteen during the pre-independence British Raj and served in the first class cabins of the long distance trains between Bombay to Calcutta and in the Refreshment Rooms on Victoria Terminus Station in erstwhile Bombay using English spices and Indian condiments keeping in mind the delicate palates of the Memsahibs - douse the garlic naan laden with minced garlic and melted butter in this and it is pure bliss, I relished every minute of that meal and wiped my plate clean with the last bit of naan...
.
and the Ah! moment in our culinary journey of flavour and fantasy was the piece de resistance, piping hot, crispy, sinfully sweet, super indulgent and mouthwatering Jalebis oozing with a saffron-hued sugary sticky syrup, paired with a harmonious bliss of rabdi, drizzled with a crunch of almonds and shattered jade-green pistachios.. my five year old after having his first bite of the beautiful jalebi, asked me a question that immediately transported me to my childhood - how do they manage to put the syrup inside this trickling spirally pastry...
.
and albeit feeling full to the brim with an epic amount of flavor, we simply could not resist the bachpan-ki-yaad-dilane-waali, humble kulfi stick in a glass full of gloriously laden strings of cold vermicelli noodles - you’d say that I could have resisted it, I’d say, it’s like that second slice of chocolate cake that you know you can’t resist...
.
and 4000 plus calories already, we drowned out our guilt over a bottomless glass of garma garam chai and brun maska quintessential to the Irani cafés set up by Zoroastrian Parsis that were once the Baristas of an aspirational Bombay unfurled into today’s cosmopolitan Mumbai.. the taste is simply doubled when you dip the bun into the hot tea and savour every bite.....
Food was delicious loved the place and the ambiance and their jalebi is just out standing we came in a group of People and we loved the place and everything I would highly recommend this place for people to have and eat good amazing food
One of the best butter chicken i ever had, the lamb biryani was mouth watering. The fruit chat is definitely recommended. Overall i loved the food, although the portion was little less 🙈
Nonetheless, beautiful ambience and extremely satisfying dinning experience.
Came here on a Friday evening, the place was quiet and the ambience pretty nice.
The food here is Indian fusion, and was quite interesting. I would only not recommend the avocado sev puri, everything else we ordered was quite good. Specifically the khao suey.
One point less for the value for money, the portions could be bigger for what we pay.
food was tasty and great staff, so friendly over all good experience food. I recommend the place and will definitely go there again. Thx to the management who worked hard to please us.

Looking for an amazing desi nashta (breakfast) try Mohallas breakfast. Served only on the weekends from 10.00 am to 12.00pm. Love the interior with beautiful colours, cane chairs, hanging carpets, wall art. And then a karak chai is served in a glass, makes it a beautiful start to the day. I had 5 glasses of chai😜

A feel of home, this place serves such beauties that make you nostalgic. Mohalla now serves breakfast on weekend morning from 10 am to 12 pm and I was here to try their unique breakfast menu.
Its a nostalgic feeling to see the interiors that take you back in time to a neighbourhood most of us can relate to. The service is good and the food is brilliant.
We started with one of their newest recipes - Beans with eggs and this one is yet to come on to the menu. Mohalla's version of baked beans in desi style, this one is beyond delicious. Along with this we called for Karak Chai - my fuel for the morning.
The next dish we had surprised me with how good it was. I hadn't imagined that this combination would even exist. It was the Uttapam with avo chutney and beetroot. This also had a poached egg on the side.
We then tried the Kheema Paratha served with yoghurt and aloo n chana masala and the Akuri - Parsi style scrambled eggs on toasted pav topped with cheese and fried onion. The flavors, the freshness and just these combinations for breakfast make them so special.
We ended the meal with the much talked about Chilli cheese toast served with a fried egg. This was beyond brilliant.
I surely couldn't have asked for a better way to start the Saturday morning.

Lovely place in heart of D3. Delicious food, great ambience and knowledgeable, lovely staff. Food is cooked with love and menu is not overwhelming with dishes which is always a great thing in my opinion. Prices are reasonable.
We went out for dinner to Mohalla. Great food with well thought menu and dishes. The chicken dishes in particular were really good. The lentil salad was something new for us and tasted very nice. Drinks could have been better. The selection during the ramdaan was limited but whatever we ordered was really worth it. Jalebi and gulab jamun were out of this world. Strongly recommended
Had a very good experience at this restaurant. Loved the food and the ambience. The staff were courteous and attended to us very well. I recommend you try out the Chicken 65 and the Biryani.

Breaking your fast with Mohalla's iftar set menu is really fulfilling with a reasonable price of only 119aed. We were given a bottled water and dates before they served the Mango Lassi, Lemon and Mint, Samosa, Vegetable Spring Rolls, Shorba and Kebabs. We loved ❤ the flavourful main courses and the desserts that we chose especially the Butter Chicken, the Biryani and the Mango Cake. Yum 😋!
As I love the street food concept, I decided to have Iftar at Mohalla Restaurant. This place is welcoming with a charming kind of service and the atmosphere is awesome. The interiors gorgeous as well!
they serve the Indian street food cuisine in a unique ambiance, the food taste was very good for us. We really enjoyed @mohallarestaurant
The Iftar set menu has a lot of options, all of that was only for 119 AED!
Classy interiors with modern yet street food concept.loved this place.peaceful ambience.no crowd on friday.we tried their iftar set menu which had most of their dishes covered and none
were average but simply yummy. Loved it.best part i didnt feel any food oily at all.must try keema matar pav, mango cake, kulfi falooda, chicken tikka biriyani served with dhoondi yoghurt, sheek kabab, samosa, tomato soup, chicken soup.iftar platter worth AED 119 per head. U will definitely love it,i guarantee
Lip smacking vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes .., simple yet with that dash of exoticness added in every dish. The menu stuck to very traditional Indian cuisine with minor tweaks as in the words of Chef Adwait... special mention of him as he definitely delivered on the dishes he recommended. My friends and I indulged in every dish that was presented before us so much that we ended up having no clue as to the amount of food we were having. Although we all had more than our fill...it didn’t feel heavy.
Very good. Fine set up. Delicious food. Has a multi lingual staff. We were assisted by a very friendly Rabneesh. For starters we took 1965 Buhari, which is chicken 65 and ordinary. The kachalu ki chaat was very good. In the mains, the qty was very good, butter chicken and Mohalla daal are good as expected...the surprise element was the kele ke kofta....which was finger lickin good. The gulab jamuns were on the dull side as were a bit dry and not hot. Jalebi was freshly made and good. Kulfi Falooda was well served. We found the size of the dinner plates to be a bit small, especially if you are having gravy or curry based dishes. Over all a very satisfying experience.
First the decor: Tastefully done and absolutely instagrammable.
Food:
Kachalu Chaat
Excellent. I had no idea colocasia could taste so good. This salad is tangy, sweet and perfectly spiced. This in itself is like a proper meal. This is definitely a winner.
Mirchi Bajji
We tried the veg option. The chutney with the namkeen elevates the taste to a different level.
Butter chicken
It was sweet, I would prefer the authentic tangy taste.
Mutton kosha
Good.
Jalebi with Rabri
You can keep having it - very light on stomach and not very sweet. You may call it a ‘healthy version’
Staff:
courteous and friendly. Had a lovely chat with the chef who was kind enough to spent a considerable time with us.
Would love to try their breakfast once.
Lovely ambience, especially the outdoor seating. The food concept and presentation was excellent but have had better Indian food flavours wise. Would still recommend a one time visit for the experience.
A hidden gem that we tried out a lil while back is @mohallarestaurant In the middle of bustling Dubai design district D3, it’s actually a quaint little place with a gorgeous outdoor sitting (hint for the last few days in this winter). It’s desi Indian food, with quite a few street food options; though in a very modern and urban setup. The menu is extremely well done with something for everyone.. the chicken roll wrapped in newspaper made us reminisce of Calcutta park street rolls (we will definitely do a post for that too). We tried the vegetable maggi, solkadi, pani puri, Tender Kabab Chicken, Chilli paneer and Kulfi with Falooda; this is back when we didn’t have the restraint to click each dish before digging in 😂😂 and therefore not all dishes captured in pictures.. but we shall be back.. lots more to conquer 😎🦸🏻♀️🦸🏻♀️

Tried the new business lunch menu along with the ala carte menu and without a doubt will be coming here again. The food was superb especially their Deccan Biryani and Fish Curry.
The place was busy as well unlike a few restaurants where there is no vibe or ambiance. Would surely suggest this place to people who want good Indian food at a reasonable price.
this place has such a cool ambience its absolutely stunning to say the least!
their food is delicious and top notch everything is there. the flavour, the presentation etc
the one thing I was disappointed about was the time I had to wait for just two bun kababs was half an hour! also the food was a bit pricy but all I all I would definitely come back if I had the patience.
One my fav spots in D3 honestly
I love their menu in general
Tried almost everything
I came back for the noodles, paneer thingy that comes with rice or noodles I don’t remember exactly but it’s soooo nice and delicious once u start u can’t stop eating hehehe
Good ambience and comfortable outside as well. The selection of food is uncommon, good taste and well served. I wasn’t satisfied with amount of salt in my drink (chaans) however once informed they replaced with new drink. Kind and courteous staff - special mention to Henna , Bharat and entire team. A good change from usual indian dining.
Went for weekend dinner with friends and had great time..The place decor it’s n theme of Indian mohallah carpets n ceiling some desi khaat to sit and table of outdoor with flower arrangement it’s superb... Now we come to the food we order chillie chicken with crackling spinach it was right amount of flavor n bit spicy it stick up to the name chillie chicken then we had ran kachori which strongly recommend it was perfectly crispy kachori with hung curd and the chatnis it was simply yumm we order shammi kebab sliders it comes with Indian pav with shammi stuff in it with the chutney was also good then went for big Bhopal which is main course we order khaosey burmanese dish with desi touch was superb the coconut flavor chicken was simply yumm then we had delhi butter chicken it was regular taste but was nice... staff also friendly and polite we had good time and enjoyed the entire meal keep it up👍🏻😍
Have you guys tried @mohallarestaurant located in @d3dubai? They serve authentic Indian cuisine which is to die for. From ambience to food, I pretty much enjoyed everything. My two favorite dishes would be their delectable butter chicken and reshmi kabab. Also they have a ton of options when it comes to their desserts, I tried their kulfi falooda which was quite delicious.
This is one of the best Indian food restaurant in Dubai. I liked everything about this restaurant whether it is food, service or interior.
Outdoor and indoor seating options are available. I loved the pictures on menu card,it’s different.
We started our lunch with some refreshing drinks. We had watermelon and holy basil, and passion fruits two way. Both drinks were too good.
In starter we had Raj kachori and mirchi bajji.
Raj kachori was bigger in size than usual one and filled with potato, pomegranate, dal crisps, sev and chutneys. All the flavors were bursting in my month.
Mirchi bajji was so crispy and delicious, stuffed with potato masala served with tomato chutney.
We had govind gatta curry and tandoori roti in mains. Govind gatta curry was just perfect, paneer and besan dumplings cooked in yogurt based curry.
It was soft, perfect blend of spices and texture of gravy was so creamy.
We had rasmalai and jalebis with rabdi in dessert.
I’m in love with their hot and crispy jalebis. Desserts were not so sugary, they were just perfect.
We ended our amazing lunch with chai.
We definitely will visit this restaurant again and if you are an Indian food lover, this is the place for you,go and try their delicious food.
Nice and cosy restaurant for Indian dinning...we opted this one for my sister's birthday dinner....very quick and different starters...really liked the crispy corns and watermelon drink...main course was equally good expect the Dal and butter chicken which can be improved further.
Overall good experience will definitely come back.
If you are looking for fresh Indian Food with a twist , this is the place to go. The Shammi Kabab Sliders , Butter Chicken and the Dal are all amazing dishes. However the flip side is that the prices are very high for the quantity which was served. We visited this place when is was newly opened, and the service was terrible. Second time round there was a major improvement. They need to increase the portion sizes.
We had the shami kebab slider and chicken momos for starters. Mains was Mutton Kosha and rotis. The food was delicious and the set up inside was also good. Definitely returning here to try other stuff.
Lovely food, great decor! Really good menu of street food! Authentic flavours and well priced :) the reshmi chicken is a winner, as is chilli paneer 🤤
