Delhi Darbar is one of my favourite Indian restaurants in Dubai. And now, having visited their fourth branch (out of four) in Al Ras, I can safely say my sentiments apply across the board. This branch must be one of the first to open. Compared to the newer branches in JLT and Barsha, it looks tired but not run down. In fact, for some funny reason, I found its rather drab interior very nostalgic, yesteryear Dubai even. That said, I was quietly happy to have been ordering a takeaway.

Food Guide Official has also visited their branch in Mumbai as they seem to be well known for some of the most month watering and scrumptious Indian delicacies. They definitely don’t need an introduction in terms of food as they are the best and have been serving it for years. Paneer tikka, Chicken tikka, Chicken Biryani, Dal Makhani, Seekh Kebab are highly recommended to try. They also serve an array of complimentary starters like the Papadum and raita before the meal. Their selections of desserts are also worth trying as the Firni and halwas was on point. Highly recommended restaurant to try authentic Indian dishes.

So we've been loyal customers at Delhi Darbar sice the past 20 years and we've been pretty satisfied with the service but today we ordered Shami Kebab, chicken Lollipop and Chicken chopsuey. the lollipops were ok but the shezwan sauce that they were served with was SPOILED AND SMELLING the Kebabs were stale and you could understand that from the taste . So sad didn't expect this .

I have been patronizing Delhi Darbar since my childhood when they opened up in Grant Road, Mumbai in the 70's, and never had a reason to complain since then. But that myth was busted today, when I ordered butter chicken, which a must, go to dish when we order. The quality and quantity of the dish was a sad reflection on Delhi Darbar glorious past. Never expected such mediocre dish at such exorbitant price.

Had been here for a quick bite. Went for their chicken kebab with roti. The roti was really huge and almost like a bread. The chicken was cooked well and was juicy. The food here is quite affordable and delicious too. Would recommend trying it.

One of the worst delivery and worst service from this worst restaurant ever faced by us in Dubai I had ordered mutton biryani ( full ) which was 31 bucks which was ordered at 11 o clock in the night but I received my food at 1 o’clock in night. More over my food which I received was not the food which I ordered thy had given us half biryani instead of full and also food was opened wen I received it and it was not in a suitable to eat . I had to call six times to restaurant to ask them where is my food . Total waste service from this restaurant . Kindly look into this matter and let me know wat can be done . Tired this restaurant today for Chicken biryani. Biryani was very good, masala was nicely mixed with the chicken pieces. Quantity is little less but taste is too good. Raita was also good. I am very happy with the service.

It's always a home delivery if ordering from #DelhiDarbar. We love their bhindi masala, spicy and well cooked, also the seekh kebabs are yummy. But it's a bit expensive compared to other restaurants in the same area. Only because of their quick service (located nearby) and the taste we have given it a 3! Had been to Naif for shopping before leaving for vacation to India. Was famished when we entered Delhi Darbar, have great memories of eating in the restaurant of the same name when I was a kid and Dad used to take us there whenever we went to Bombay or Panaji. (not sure if the same group) Had the Chicken Chilli , Mutton Rogan Josh , Mutton Biryani, Mutton Khichda. All the dishes were amazingly consistent in taste. Both the quality and quantity were good as well. Biryani and Mutton Khichda is a must try. Been in the business since 1946... was Modi born then ???

We ordered biryanis (vegetable and Paneer Tikka biryani) and non veg biryani (chicken tikka biryani). The food was good, the masala in the biryani was as different. Sufficient quantity for two people per plate. The packing was really bad. By the time we received the food few biryani packs were open already. The oil was dripping everywhere. Please improve on the packing as it got really messy.

Awesome. I have been a fan of this restaurant in Mumbai, but now that takes second place. First place to Delhi Darbar Dubai. The food here was awesome and delivered warm. I ordered Khichda which had succulent mutton pieces & lots of barista(fried onions) in it... Extremely delicious. Later I had mutton dum biryaani. OHO ..... I can't describe it. Delhi Darbar serves the best biryani ever. I also like their daily special menu, you can have dishes which otherwise are not regularly available. Their roomali roti is so thin and soft, you will not have this anywhere else. Khichda, tandoori chicken, kheema and biryani are must have. One of my most fav restaurants in Dubai.

Had ordered for the first time using the Zomato online order. Firstly the food was delivered late, secondly the driver called in to reconfirm the location and when I told him it is located above 'Chaco Maco' coffee shop he said 'Kiski Maa Ko'. Well the driver really needs some kind of training on how to speak to the clients especially women. Plus he needs to even learn on how to deliver food as the yoghurt raita had leaked in the bag... making it difficult to remove food. My order was as below: 1. Malpuva: Sweet and soft as it should be. Only negative point is, it should have been delivered in a different carry bag as it's foil had yoghurt raita all over it!! 2. Dudhi kah halwa: nice in taste. 3. Roomali Roti's: very soft and delicious. 4. Dabba Ghost: Cooked to perfection, meat was nice and tender. Again since the dish is costing above AED 30/-. Requesting the management to work on their packaging as the oil had leaked all the way in the bag. Pics attached!

Heard so much about the Nihari at this place and decided to give it a shot. Going in, I expected the restaurant to be beat down but I was pleasantly surprised at how well kept it was, especially because it was in the Al Ras area. So that was a plus point. The service was quick as well as the arrival of the food, they served it hot and warm, perfect and ready to eat. The price was also pretty reasonable. One bowl of their Nihari was enough for 2-3 people honestly depending on how much you can eat. The Nihari was really good, perfect amount of spicy and flavorful. I also ordered the bihari kabab, which in my opinion I've had better, it could've been a lot softer and tender. But other than that, I think this place pretty much lives up to the hype that it gets and I wouldn't mind going again to load up on the Nihari and warm naan!

To be honest was having a lot of expectations before entering this place . Placed an order for chicken biryani which is their signature dish . They took nearly 10 mins to serve us . I was quiet disappointed with the biryani , it was way too oily and the chicken pieces were not soft at all . What really disappointed me was after hearing a lot I really don't expect it to turn up so bad . Ambience wise this place is decent and the staff people were decent too .

Pioneers of authentic Biryani in Dubai and still serving the same deliciousness after decades in existence. This was their first outlet and you can still feel the authenticity if you walk in with the humble look and feel that they haven’t upgraded, even though their other outlets are much more modern and refined. They were and still are one of the best in the business, as their quality and taste have only gotten better with time. Great staff and service at this outlet, just like the other outlets. They are very fairly priced for the quality and portion size served. Visiting this outlet is like taking a walk down memory lane and reliving the old Dubai days, which were simple and beautiful :).

Worst restaurant ever, NOT a family friendly at all. Went into this restaurant before order any food I ask manager his permission to change my infant baby in washroom and he clearly denied saying " We won't allow this thing here" + ask to change infant on the toilet seat he denied, ending up changing the baby in our push chair, downstairs while doing this in the corner with the privacy restaurant ignorant staff kept coming up and arguing my wife (luckily for them I wasn't there). Over price menu very very ignorant staff totally dumb manager which clearly had NO manners at all. The whole situation put us off and we walk out from there.

I heard that delhi darbar has some secret biryani recepie, I tried their Biryani and realised that it was good but nothing like revealing some secret recepie.Clean place, price is bit higher than normal.anyways it was worth visiting.

Delhi darbar is an old joint and they have branches in Al ras and deira and in karama.. Place is pretty good to accommodate 30 people and located in the rustles and bustles of the city.. We were guided to our seat and soon after were served with papad and Indian chuttneys with yogurts and chilli and pickels.. ●We ordered for dabba gosh it's the authentic delhi darbar special I would say. This item had small shredded meat with capsicum and tomato comes in light gravy and tastes amazing. One bowl is good enough for 3 people. ●Daal gosh simply disappointed us. It was not at all to the standard. Had sliced papaya which made the daal brothy and tasted weird. Had no option but to pick the meat and have with breads ●On the side Romali roti was very nice things and very light. Butter nan was equally good though. Soda with salt and lemon was good too. More than that it was a good company good chat and laugh..

However during my last visit in Dubai while we were roaming in Gold Souk someone told us that there is a Delhi Darbar here and we made our mind that we shall visit it. There food looks like varies from branch to branch. I assure you that your visit to the Al Ras one will not leave you disappointed Visited this place recently, thou not the first time, it has always been a pleasure to eat food here of course goes without saying, non-veg delicacies are to die for. Try their kabab platter and tava kheema. Please make sure you don't miss either. There roomali roti just melts in the mouth. As a sweet dish call for their Phirni, its creamy and just the right amount of sweetness is poured to make that. The caramel custard was nothing in comparison to the Phirni, so don't waste your time and money on the same. I would recommend this place even basis the price point. but make sure if you are driving then the closest parking you can find is the Gold Land building. This Delhi Darbar is located in one of the most crowed place in Dubai
