Great place to go with friends to watch the sport, eat good hearty pub food with huge portions and great selection. Everything in this place is amazing value for money, the staff are perfect excellent service and management have always accommodated us when in a group to get us close to a screen with the sport we wanted to see, they show almost every live game be it Football or Rugby awesome place. Only let down is it gets very very smokey at times would be perfection if people smoked in a separate space.

One of the best pub around barsha heights. The place has huge seating arrangements with a vibrant ambiance and crowd. The bar has a lot of variety.
Every day they have some events like live music and many more fun activities. We went on a Monday so it's a quiz night. They will asks some question and the highest scorer will get a gift. Luckily we won a bottle of wine.
The food menu is limited as it's a pub. So you will get finger food with few starters. The price is perfect as per the quantity and quality.
We ordered few burgers and prawn cocktails. The taste was really awesome and delicious. Service is too quick.

Traditional British pub, always good place to chill with friends after work. The vibe is great and always good live music. Current band is awesome and the singer Roxy is such a great performer. Very affordable and good value for the money. Service could be faster though, but I still enjoy it every time I visit this place.

This is a Delicious meal! I ordered grilled salmon with mashed potato and veggies. You can never go wrong with it. Soooo yummy! Perfect place to chill at lunchtime.
My sons have visited the Crown and Lion, Byblos Hotel before so they both knew what to expect - a generous size full English breakfast. Oh my and it was! Two eggs - we chose poached (could have had fried or scrambled), 2 pork sausages, 2 bacon, hash browns, baked beans, grilled tomato, toast/butter. Wow! Service was fast and food was hot. Friday morning and the pub wasn't busy but they seem organised.

When I was still working in tecom area, this was a favorite sports bar for me and my friend. The platter with hash brown, eggs and sausages rocks my world. Good ambiance for 2 ladies catching up over lunch. I miss it actually.
Absolutely my favorite pub thus far. Considering this is Dubai, it's quite fairly priced, the crowd flow was a great mix of people, friendly people may I add, with just an incredible vibe. The pool table, probably my favorite part. Though I'm absolutely terrible at playing, it was still really fun. Dubai doesn't have many places where you can kick back and play pool, and this place definitely does, with a really fair waiting list of playing the winner. The singers at the end was a great way to end the night. Their voices were beautiful, and added value the vibe. I can't wait to come back!
Nice place to take chill out with super music and amazing food...every brand of beer and especially served in that brand mug...
Food is preety expensive to the quality but music of the live band sorts it out.
They have happy hours from 6pm to 8pm everyday with some good deals on draught beers. The crowd is mostly European, makes sense considerating it's a British pub! Live music after 8:30pm with band playing mainstream English songs. Guys make sure you are wearing smart casuals with shoes though. No restrictions for ladies.
This place is a regular hangout for us (particularly on Thursday lunches). Grab the chilled beer combo with fish n chips, tender chicken, lasagna and have fun in the amazing ambiance. A game (or two) of pool and darts is very refreshing. In the evenings, live music and nights can pull u again and again there.

Its a bit of a dive if i'm honest but they have some pretty good pub grub, huuuuge portions so I would advise sharing a plate if you have a small appetite. I usually have the chicken caeser salad but the fish in chips is my guilty pleasure!

I've been here before but this is the first time I sat down to have a meal here. Usually had snacks and bites etc.
We were 4 people and ordered :

The burger apparently wasn't what it used to be. The burger patty has changed and it's not as good. The thick cut fries were great though.
The Cajun chicken was good and it was a huge plate of food. The potatoes were a bit big to be boiled potatoes though. Baby potatoes seem the best choice for that..
The shepards pie was in a huge bowl and could easily have fed 2 people! It was super though. One of the best ones I've tried in Dubai and possibly better than my own version! I could have done without the overcooked boiled carrots and huge chunk of cauliflower on the side though. I feel French beans would have worked better.
BLT was good and the massive basket of curly fries were good too. All the portions were very generous and it makes a nice change from other restaurants and eateries here..
One of my favorite english pubs. They have rustic interior that will give you a different vibe. Their alcohols are quite afforable and they serve free nachos. (Yay!)

Absolutely classy English Sports Bar with wooden interiors. It's huge and mostly crowded at all times. It's one of my favourites so far and don't mind being a regular to this place. The live band is very good; they also have dart boards, a pool table and large LED screens to watch games. The drinks are decently priced and the service is good; waitresses always attentive. The food is pretty fine and they have value meals which works out really cheap.
The place is a perfect choice to catch up with friends, relax or watch a game. The atmosphere is lively and makes you happy happy. Kenneth Sagar
Heard a lot about this place and its chilled atmosphere! It was Halloween night and decided to head there! They had a live band playing and I must say that they were good (not the average band). The atmosphere, true to what has been said, was great! Hustling and bustling and packed!
Food wise we ordered starters to go with our drinks... The onion rings were well made and taste was good; the bbq chicken wings taste was good though the chicken was overcooked and on the verge of rubbery; garlic bread, a good healthy portion, sadly no taste really.
Overall great place to have a drink... Suggestion... Get your own drinks at the bar, still quicker than the service you will receive at the table
Used to be my daily hangout place as it was located near to my house before. English Sport Bar! Average Live Band !! mostly crowded and love the service. Food is good

My favorite pub in Dubai. It has a great British ambiance, a super selection of beer, and the bar food is amazing. Top marks! They have great deals a bear and a meal for 70 AED. Good place to watch sports, shoot some darts or relax with a beer.
One of my best places to go to. Either it's to catch up with a drink, enjoy the football or other live sport, play some pool or just grab some proper English style pub and grub. Service is outstanding at all times, always with a smile and a friendly nature. Keep up the good work.
Walked in for a quick lunch during Ramadan and was mildly surprised to see quite a few people eating. We ordered the full English breakfast and baked salmon. The food was well made and plated however the flavour was mediocre. I guess pub food doesn't really have to impress.

The quiz nights are really lively and the band, Well, Theyre great ! All the ingredients for a fun evening are there ! The waitresses are a sassy bunch and that just adds to the charm of the place !

Great venues. Went there in a Wednesday night. Packed to the afters and had a great band playing. Beer was average price and had a great variety. Good English pub feel.
Food served was good when i ordered a mix grill platter but the second time when i ordered a bacon it was salty and was not at all good

The music was good of course the male lead rocked ,the female lead not so much she was singing bring me back to life like " really you got to bring her back to life and teach her singing lessons"
Checked out this gem last night during the pub quiz. We got there too late to participate so Sazzy Saz and I had a couple of drinks and shared the fish and chips. I was impressed by the portion size and it was very good. The mushy peas were tasty & fresh and the chips were legit English chips. I also thought the white fish was moist without being overly greasy and it was perfectly battered.

Visited Crown and Lion with a long lost collegue and it was just the perfect place to catch up.This cozy british bar with english/ irish waitresses and the rusty look, took me back to my days in London. There was an irish live band playing and they sang some Classic rock and new R&B numbers and kudos to the male vocolist+ guitarist who was mindblowing and the beautiful and smiling female vocalist did absolute justice to the band and the base guitarist supported well.It was a beer night and catching up on old memories and office gossip.We ordered a chicken and chips dish cant recall the exact dish maybe because it was just average but we finished it all.
The downside was that our waitress was in a general bad mood and slightly rude to us probably because we were indians or she had a bad day, but we were courteous and thanked her each for the favor of serving us..Lol!
We were the last people to leave and I cannot wait to visit again only hoping to get a happier waitress this time. Inspite of that I totally recommend this place to everyone who likes british pubs for its ambience and music lovers for the live band.
A great place to hang around in the evening while sipping some great beers and eating snack. The place also shows live matches on big screen and this is a big hit in the surrounding area. Overall very casual and relaxing place with great sporty ambience. I bit crowded on week days and hence advisable to reach early.

Superb Sunday Lunch. Excellent value for money. Nice atmosphere, super friendly efficient caring waitresses. Could not fault anything here, music, spirts TV, toilets and beer quality excellent too. I hear live music every night from 22:30 as well.

I love this place. Great staff. Good music. I had many choices for my last night in Dubai and I chose Crown and Lion. The Brit manger and bouncer are all very cool. Come for trivia night!

I'd forgotten about this place but when trying to find somewhere that was showing the rugby we wanted to watch, I remembered and booked a table. I was very glad I did, not because booking was essential (an afternoon game and the pub was fairly quiet) but the place deserves 5 stars for everything. Very good food. Comfortable and decent furnishing. Very nice waitresses. Very attentive, professional, competent and diligent manager. Plenty of good large screens. Nothing not to like. You'll need to pay for street parking but its available directly outside. I will make this my first choice for sports watching in a nice environment.
