Saw there 20% off summer promo between July and Sept. Seemed like a good time to try out their brunch as I'm round the corner. Turns out the promo doesn't apply to any of their daily offers (brunch included). Unfortunately their promo does not state this and thus got me into their restaurant under false pretences. After challenging them in this issue they did the right thing and honoured the 20% discount. Both my office and home are close to two of their branches and I can safely say that their decision to honour the offer as written has saved them a loyal customer. A lot of businesses in Dubai could learn from such integrity.

To say that we we’re regulars at Chez Sushi is an understatement. For years, we went to “Chez” at least once a week, G even had a cake made of makis here for one of my bdays. After a 2 year hiatus, we are back and this place still delivers on quality and taste. We had a light lunch today and ordered some of our favourite items: Rock Shrimp (with both the chili and wasabi mayos on the side), Tataki maki and our own custom creation roll. Other favourites include the simple yet refreshing green salad, the Dragon maki and the Spider maki. There used to be a secret roll named after one of the staff called Melody Maki, be sure to try it as well if it’s still available.

Visited the restaurant on a weekday evening for dinner. The ambiance was quite cosy which seemed like a cross between a restaurant and fast food counter. To begin with, we tried the seaweed with sesame dressing and found it not to be too fresh, and soaked with liquid that ran to the bottom of the bowl. We then tried a few temakis which actually tasted quite nice, would´ve loved it if they were slightly bigger though. We then had a range of Maki rolls which seemed interesting on paper however ended up being a bit too complicated. There was too much conflict in the ingredients used. Too much going on, preventing one from actually tasting the fish. Ended our meal with three flavors of Mochi ice cream, coconut, green tea and hazelnut, all of which tasted very nice. The service was quite quick and efficient. The restaurant also offers daily deals. Would not recommend this if you are in search of truly fresh sushi without the complications.

I gave it many chances before making final verdict. This is one of the worst sushi places in town for its price category and prime locations. It is slightly better than Yo Sushi by 0.5 points. It's extremely fast foodish. The way sushi is prepared lacks any passion, purely commercial outlet. Will avoid it in future.

This was my first time to lunch in a Japanese restaurant. Being new at the whole sushi scene, the make your own sushi roll was fun to customize. Sushi and the beef was pretty good however the tempura was quite disappointing. the batter was too thick and tempuras tasted plain and cakey including the veggie ones. over all experience was good and staff was efficient and friendly.

I know I have been here so many times....but today I would like to write a special review for the good guys at Chez. For some reason I ALWAYS arrive at Chez late just before their closing time. This is my 3rd occasion and everytime, they accommodate us. Today seriously was late after the kitchen closed. Our good waiter Jonel was very accommodating and understood that we came all the way from Sharjah and were really hungry that him and the chef prepared a platter of sushi for us and the kitchen staff even cooked a chicken curry Katsu which really requires you to reopen the kitchen. Kudos to the good accommodating staff. And a big thank you to Jonel and the chef on duty and a big thank you to Chez management that never disappoints. The waiter was very polite and helpful. The food was absolutely delicious and Chez makes the best beef sushi in town 👌😍 with a delicious generous drizzle of unagi sauce. I am definitely coming again and again and again but will make sure I come before the kitchen closes 😜. Also and on a side note....don't forget to pick up some of those delicious exotic Japanese flavored Kit Kats that are exclusively sold at Chez Sushi. Great food. Absolutely wonderful manu concept where you build your own sushi from scratch by choosing from a combination of delicious I gradients. Many quirky fun memorabilia to buy like the sushi pillow 😝. I love Chez sushi and it never disappoints

Chez is a great place to get some really good shrimp related dishes, Rock Shrimp is a plate of crunchy full-of-flavor shrimps (with your choice of Spicy Mayo or Wasabi) that fills you up from the start. Also the Maki Rolls are beautifully made and seriously adds a good kick to your taste buds. They do fall short on the drinks and desert menu, but the good news is you can grab a handful of imported Japanese Kitkat on the counter before leaving! lol Overall a very good place to visit. The best place to satisfy your sushi needs if you are low-carbing. They have a "Let's Roll" menu where you can customize your own roll and can choose no rice by having the sushi rolled in salmon or tuna. the rolls have always been fresh and delicious. If you are ordering take-away I suggest asking for any liquidy sauce you choose to be on the side because it leaked out of the container every time. The restaurant is nice and bright and the decor is very cute. The staff is always cheerful and are helpful if you have any questions.

One of the reasons why I always avoided sushi was due to the lack of chicken options in most places and because of my first and (until now) last experience with wasabi. This happened a few year ago when I was studying in Canada. At a sushi workshop I learnt how to roll a perfect (vegetarian) sushi. After the workshop we celebrated our achievement by indulging in our freshly made concoction. Next thing I know (after following my friend's instructions) I had dipped my sushi in wasabi, without tasting it first. Only a person who has eating wasabi directly will know this feeling of the taste shooting straight up to your head, opening your sinuses and leading to a sensation worse than brain freeze! So as you can guess I had my reservations but I decided to leave behind my 'wasabi fear' and dive in when I was invited to try out their Ramadan offerings. We tasted two different orders of sushi, both of which were suggested by the Chez Sushi staff. One was custom made as per the chef's choice with avocado and cooked fish (I'm not a fan of raw meat) and the other was the Mango tango which topped with was smooth mango salsa. Both the dishes had a touch of mango, which made them taste similar, but yum none the less. They were fresh and the mixed filling inside gave it a good taste. This time I followed the rule of dissolving the wasabi in soy sauce and then dipping my sushi in it, and you know what, it wasn't that bad after all!

Friday lunch we landed here. Had the regular tempura which was awesome along with their rocket shrimps which is their version of dynamite prawns which is served at PF Chang. Taste heavenly!!! We had two portions of maki rolls. Crispy California and Salmon maki rolls. Loved them as well . Just to try we ordered the chicken yakitori however my best yakitori is at Yo Sushi at the festival city outlet in Dubai. Sweet tooth shared and tried the mini wasabi ice cream and orange chocolate which was good too. Service was great and very friendly staff.

Excellent Sushi great ambiance and friendly staff. Located just opposite Choithram near Al Safa Park this is the place if you are in the mood for a light bite or just Sushi. The chef has exotic creations of different types of maki, sushi and some excellent salad infused with lemon ginger and their secret ingredients. After all the stuffing don't forget to have their machines or Japanese ice cream especially the wasabi flavoured and orange and chocolate.

At first glance you would not be wrong to think of this as another cafe on the streets of dubai, take a closer look and yay its a sushi place. I loved their minimalist interiors of white and green with cute little edamame and sushi roll pillows (which are for sale for Aed110 ). Their menu is mix of dishes you would normally find at other outlets and some new. Wanting to try their creations we chose the mango tango maki and salmon wrap and for mains we went for beef teriyaki. The sushi rolls were quite refreshing and the flavors were delightful, the ingredients fresh and crunchy and packed quite a punch. I was disappointed with the beef teriyaki, the beef did not feel fresh, the sauce was very little making the meat dry. Its a nice place and i wouldn't mind visiting them again.

The Underdog of Sushi places, Chez has that comfortable feeling once you step in to eat. A good menu with a wide variety of starters, salads and sushi priced at around 40 - 45 dhs per dish on average (a bit higher than your Sumo's & Bentoya's) Not finding the sushi that you like, then you can create your own sushi, with a huge list of different toppings, sauces and rolls which you won't find at other places. Staff very friendly and the food comes at a reasonable 5 - 10 minutes time. Paid 180 dhs for 3 Maki dishes, a starter & an edamame ( split by 2 )

I have to admit, I've been hunting and splurging on Sushi/Sashimi and today was no exception. I stumbled upon this place when a friend and i wanted to catch up over some sushi :) So we ordered 4 types of signature maki rolls .... I was able to taste the decomposition of all the flavors happen in my mouth. While that happened, the flavors kept maturing and I enjoyed every moment of it. Each had a unique taste and texture you will never experience eating cheap sushi. Rainbow, Spider, Tataki and California are the rolls we tried. There was one other thing that I noticed that the mixture of crispy shrimp and wasabi mayo on the Spider rolls, made me think how they must of developed this through some trial and error because the taste of the components complement and enhance each other well. Wish they had more cocktails on the drinks menu. The service was pretty good, they were rather friendly. I'd definitely head back for a return visit :)

Visited their 'pop up' stall at Beach Canteen on Kite Beach as a part of Dubai Food Festival. I only tried their California roll (as my Sushi appetite is very limited). It was made fresh by order and tasted nice. I would definitely order in and perhaps even visit their outlet.

The sushi was not very inspiring, the spider and Tatimi roll seem to be lacking something taste wise. The Gyozas were served lukewarm and turns out they are not made fresh, we were told that these are made every two days and steamed and stored in the chiller and pan fried and served at the time of ordering- they don't even heat thru to the center!! So avoid these. Make a sushi roll concept is good. Over all average food, attentive staff.

Extremely overpriced,ordinary tasting sushi. Their selling point is the "Make Your Own Roll" menu, which doesn't strike me as revolutionary when the folks at Yo Sushi! are always happy to make you anything you like, even if it's not on the menu. The portion sizes were laughable. It clearly caters to a wealthy niche within the Al Safa area.

(A vegetarians point of view) I have received a variety of bewildered expressions from people when they hear that I being a vegetarian am going to a sushi restaurant for a meal. In their defense, the only vegetarian options a lot of these restaurants offer are just the regular cucumber or avocado maki rolls. After hearing glorious things about the veg rolls at chez sushi, I had to go and try this out for myself. It's a small restaurant located in the wasl square complex in Al Safa. A laid back casual place with a simple decor. It is tradition for me to order edamame at a Japanese place and I was really glad I ordered the chez sushi edamame. A pleasant change from the regular, with a lovely combination of flavors. The Gyoza dumplings too were very good, something new that I haven't tried before and thoroughly enjoyed. After the starters and an eagerly anticipated wait, arrived my veggie special. True to what I had heard, it was fantastic, a good selection of ingredients and I loved the yuzu dressing. Another amazing concept of this restaurant was the customizable rolls, they offer an option of brown rice too! You can choose your type of rice, a variety of different veggies and the sauce of your choice.The brown rice rolls were brilliant, it's gives the dish a different texture and was refreshing and unique. If you are a vegetarian and love sushi, this is paradise. Excellent signature veggie roll and a number of customizable options to experiment and have the meal exactly the way you want it. The price may be a bit steep but the product these guys provide is fantastic. Making sushi is a form of art, I am most definitely a huge fan of the artists at chez sushi

The 'make your own roll' concept here is fantastic and not that pricey. If you're looking for a cheap spot, this isn't the place but it's great nonetheless. My favorite was the california roll to be honest and the prawn tempura hand-roll was fresh and epic. Ask for some wasabi mayo and spicy mayo on the side! Their rock shrimp tempura appetizer isn't bad either. Love it

A big disappointment !!! we decided to go to Chez Sushi after I read all the reviews on Zomato. I actually had high expectations. The place was empty, nice decor, nice staff, until we were served the maki rolls ...blunt, tasteless, average, missing flavor. The rice was too big, not sticky enough, almost like it was boiled in unsalted water. I am not sure if they were just having a bad day at the kitchen, but it was certainly not deserving all the good ratings it was given here. I am not sure I can recommend this place for Sushi. To be honest, this is not at all the best sushi in town.

Loved the 'customization' concept. Haven't really come across too many places in Dubai that let you build your own sushi. They offered a typical Japanese menu that one could expect. But the restaurants best feature was certainly the sushi customization.

Chez Sushi offers, for the first-time in the UAE, the "do-it-yourself" concept for sushi and even has its own wonderful signature rolls to choose from. The place is very modern and I just love it. The ingredients in the rolls taste very fresh, which is a must for any sushi restaurant. I didn't really like the taste of the chicken teriyaki though, it was just too heavy for me, but this doesn't change anything as options are literally infinite! I dined in once only and the service in the restaurant was OK, the waiter was very unenthusiastic regardless of the very few customers and even worse is that it is a very small restaurant. On the other hand, home delivery service is excellent and did not have a bad experience after ordering many times! Only complaint is that I have to order from the Al Wasl Square branch (next to Al Safa Park) rather than the Dubai Marina branch to deliver to Al Barsha which takes longer, but it's alright as long as I have the good sushi! One of the best sushi restaurants in Dubai and for a reasonable price.

Went to Chez Sushi for a casual lunch and was really impressed. Great little spot. Excellent quality food, friendly staff, and reasonably priced. We ordered the beef tataki, 5 pc salmon sashimi and a custom roll. All were fantastic! Will definitely be returning again in the near future!

Great food on the fly. The Chez Edamame and Seaweed Salad are really good. But the find for us were the Tuna and Beef tataki. Try it only if you like slightly seared, kinda raw meats.
