After planning for long, I finally got a chance to stop by this Indian outlet located on the ground floor of Doubletree by Hilton hotel in Barsha 1.
The interior of this restaurant is very colorful with warm soft colors. The cutlery is very typical traditional Indian. We ordered the Jeera Rice, Chicken Malai Kebab, and Dal Tadka. The rice was steamed to perfection in that pot and so was the dal. The dal could have been a bit more richer. However, I just can't deny its deliciousness. The chicken was a delicacy as well with tender and flavorful tikkas. The food was enough for two people. Their welcome drink and papad was a good gesture. The service was very nice.
I wonder why is this place often empty for dinners. People, you must try this place once!
A cosy place in the lobby level of #Double tree by Hilton Al Barsha 1, Tikka cafe serves authentic Indian food. Menu is sufficient and worth trying for. We went for a quick dinner and honestly were delighted with the food and service. We ordered a classic murgh malai tikka and for mains dal tadka and jeera rice. The taste reminded me of one of my friends from my college days who is a reputed Executive Chef in Lalit Delhi.
Keep up the good work. Would definitely visit again.
Delightful ambience .. ordered for a bhunna gosh N prawn Biryani .. both were yummy ... It was very quiet for a Thursday evening but would surely visit again .
A quiet dining place located in Al Barsha near Mall of the Emirates serves good north Indian food targeting not only Indians and Pakistanis but also the hotel guests of various nationalities and the residents in the area. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner and also offers home delivery. I went along with my family for dinner on a weekday. My son Nirvaan enjoys the open kitchen concept as he can see what’s cooking and how it is done. He is definitely going to be a good Chef I foresee :)
We visited tikka café over the weekend with the family, it's such a nice place and the staff were lovely. The starters were really good one of them they gave as a welcome snack, and the other starter we had was chicken tikka, the chicken was nice and tender. We each had different curries for our main dish they all had so much flavor and they had the perfect amount of spice in them just the way we like it. While you wait for your meals to arrive you can watch the chef's cook through the glass. Overall we had a great time, the food was delicious and we were happy with the service.
Probably the best butter chicken I had in al barsha. It was creamy, nice looking, flavorful and succulent
The butter naans were very nice as well.
I tried the mutton seekh kebab which were full of taste and quite juicy. For a restaurant like this that serves good quality food , this place offers great value for money.
A must try.
Good food .. A bit too over priced as its normal indian food nothing innovative or new.. So many things on the menu was not even there! The chicken cheese didnt have any cheese on them.. The paneer tika was good! The main and desserts were also good except the ghajar ka halwa was more like a sabzi as the chef had forgotten to put sugar in it ! Over all good nothing wow! Try it out once not more than that for sure
A Saturday lunch at Tikka Cafe in the Hilton Double Tree Al Barsha introduced me to one of the simplest yet most delicious desserts that I've ever tasted, baked yoghurt. I had come across a recipe for this dessert a few years ago but I had never got down to making it for some reason. Perhaps I need some convincing and Chef Ganesh at Tikka Cafe has more than sufficiently convinced me.
But let me begin at the starters and work my way back. We whet our appetites with homemade samosas, crispy shells and spicy vegetable filling with sultanas, accompanied by a trio of sauces, raita, mint chutney and a tamarind chutney. A plate of murgh malai tikka, was equally good, serving up succulent pieces of grilled chicken with a mild creamy cheese marinade.
For mains we decided on a bhuna gosht, jhinga masala curry and a UK favourite, chicken tikka masala. The bhuna gosht was tasty, though the meat was a bit tougher than I would have liked. Flavoured with caramelised onion and tempered spices, the gravy was familiar but delicious and the most enjoyable out of the mains. The chicken tikka masala was smokey, and a decent rendition of the famed classic.
The spicy and sweet prawns were served in a platter rather than a bowl with lots of tasty gravy to accompany it.
And now back to my favourite bit, the desserts. I've had my fair share of terrible ras malai, chewy and tasteless and thankfully these weren't anything like those. Soft and pillowy bathed in milk, quite a good version of one of my favourite desserts. It was the baked yoghurt that stole our hearts though. Such a simple dish yet smooth, silky and delicious. Would I go back just for this dessert? Most certainly.
Thanks to Naveen for being an attentive and friendly waiter who made sure that we always had what we needed throughout lunch. Tikka Cafe you sold me on the sweet stuff. I'll be back.
Excellent food, possibly one of the best in town. The paneer tikka in the starters is awesome. Great service and great food!!! Everything is cooked fresh including the gravy and is cooked in front.
I hosted a surprise party for my husband on his birthday .Right from the first phone call to leaving after the party everything had a personal touch to it.

The restaurant is tucked away in a quiet lane of Al barsha within the double tree hotel by Hilton. Since the hotel is new there wasn't much of a crowd there when we arrived for a Saturday evening dinner. The staff was polite and was happy to give us a large table despite there being only 2 of us. We ordered seekh kababs for appetisers. Before the kababs, there arrived an assortment of papads and gourmet chutneys. Let me tell u 2 extra points for that. The sweet mango chutney with a subtle undertone of ginger reminded me of my childhood when my mom used to prepare that chutney as the mango season arrived. Anyway, then came the kababs.. Reshmi to the extent that they melted in the mouth but not on the fork. Spices just right. For the main course we ordered chicken biryani - would not be enough for 2 hungry people but was enough for the two of us. It was not a quickly thrown together job but one that was prepared with lot of time. My husband loved it. Although I felt a bit of strong coconut flavour in it. But otherwise the meat was soft and the rice fragrant. Near about the perfect biryani. For dessert, we ordered our greed buster - shahi Tukda. My husband once had shahi Tukda at a small eating joint in the narrow lanes of old Lucknow. He has been looking for that flavour in every single menu after that. The one here was not the same but close. Not very close though. Hence quest continues. But I see myself returning to this place unless I don't see anything new to order on the menu - which could be very soon - considering they have a concise one!
