Must visit place for the drinks and live lation music ,iconic dubai spot .Was a bit disapointed with the BBQ prawns AED 157 for cold food is not cool & it was not so flavourful and was a bit hard . my second dish -Sea bass was cooked to melting perfection . Definitely a must visit place .Really hope they can change up the menu a bit .Tiki Puku Puka is a must try and any dubai person already knows this .

Perfect for a night out dancing and enjoying the latin music. Loved their atmosphere and decor, food was good. They don’t have a lot of option for nonalcohol, i had only few choices and when i picked it wasn’t the best. <br/><br/>Overall experience, lovely atmosphere and music would definitely visit again.

Their happy hour promo is the best in town. My friends and I used to go here every Thursday after work. the staff is so friendly and attentive. must try- London sour variant

Tried this place and ordered a variety of things. The food is good but portions are small. The ambiance and feel of the place is great!

Me and my husband was celebrating our 1st year wedding anniversary here. It was a very nice surprise for me form my husband. Being here made me so happy. We enjoyed the food and the atmosphere and the live music , bar specially. <br/>We want to thank the chef who made our food great and also to Mixologist Jeyan and also thanks to Ruwanga for making our anniversary spectacular. <br/>Thank you for all the staff who was doing there job pretty good. We would highly recommend this place to go and have a lovely time with your loved ones.

So i walked in with 3 of my friends to trader vics and they gave us a table at the end of the hall. We asked to be moved to another table that was empty. They said that it is reserved the time was 10:40 pm when we came in and we wanted to have dinner, the kitchen closes at 11:30pm and the people who reserved this table in specific wanted to have dinner and they booked the table at 11:15. However people did not show and they did not move our table. The manager and the receptionist are two of the worst staff i have ever encountered and were very unprofessional and extremely not helpful. <br/>Never coming again.

Amazing music, friendly staff, beautiful atmosphere

We asked them for a table for 3, she assumed we are coming only for drinks and got us to the terrace with the dirty tables and chairs, and said sit anywhere here and left. So we went back in and asked her for a decent table, so she said you should have dinner, we were already going to have dinner however. Incredibly unprofessional and rude.

The Vibe and the setup of the new Luau Brunch here is simply amazing and what makes it better is the good weather and the live music. <br/><br/>The salads and drinks are on display however the hot bites, the mains and desserts are brought to the table. From the salad bar I loved the Chicken Hawaiian Salad, the Quinoa salad and the prawn cocktail. They have a large selection of salads which are fresh and flavorful. I tried the Virgin Pinacolada from the drinks and absolutely loved it. <br/><br/>I must mention that the service is a bit slow and I wasn't too impressed with the selection of Hot starters. We were served some Crab Rangoon Duck rolls, some cheese balls and some chicken wings. All of these were just ok, felt like they were fried and refried before they were served to us and they flavors were sure not creating magic on the taste buds. <br/><br/>The mains were surely my favorite part of the meal, the Calcutta chicken curry and the Roasted Salmon was what we called for. Love the flavors of the curry and the Salmon was cooked to perfection. <br/><br/>The Coconut Creme Brûlée dessert was another fav from the brunch. Something different from the regular and the flavor of coconut was just right.

Last Friday I attended the newest and one of the most fun-filled brunch that I’ve been to in a long time. It was at the Trader Vic’s outlet in Madinat Jumeirah. The Trader’s Luau Brunch is their new Friday Brunch and happens every Friday from 12:30pm-4pm.

I love the food and the aura of the place but what is so exciting is the fortune cookies that they serve after your meal! I think that is sooo cute!

The place is huge and i love the vibes and ambiance. The food we got is so delicious and the service they also good for sharing. The staffs are friendly and accommodating. This place is a must.

What a fabulous meal! Took visitors to show them the madinat. Ordered 3 curries and Kung pow chicken and all were served sharing style at the waiters suggestion- was perfect! Amazing flavours and very reasonable- not to mention the generous pours of decent wine at aed25! Staff couldn't have been more welcoming and efficient, what a great night!

If you want to party and love latino/carribean vibes and food, it is the perfect location for you! <br/>Eric the manager welcome us as real guests, we love the rhum cocktails served in the beautiful glasses, plus starters and especially meat are perfectly cooked, we really had a great time, you can dance as they have a band who play nice music, you can only enjoy there, a must place to go!

Amazing experience , great food and live music , fantastic ambiance, great staff. delicious food and drinks . Wonderful location in the Madinat Souk area. Wide variety of dishes on the menu .

We went for a family evening out on the Friday. As we went early evening, there was not too much crowd and beautiful weather outside.<br/>Service however was beyond appalling. We had waiters not attend to us, take away half finished drinks without asking, put their thumbs into glasses whilst serving - overall just terrible. Also we did a few happy hours orders and the quality of the drinks during happy hours was terrible - just tasted like no alcohol or low quality alcohol. Duck was good. Every thing else (BBQ sea bass, risotto, pasta) was OK. We ordered far too much as usual.<br/>Even the takeaway doggy bag was without the accompanying sauces or salads.

The first and last reaction to this place is 'Wow'. The ambience is amazing. If your at the outdoor seating you can enjoy the view of the Burj Al Arab. There's this nice lake outside the restaurant. The whole setup is very serene. Coming to the food I really liked the shrimp cocktail and found the whole hype about the tikki pukka pukka overrated. It's just nice, nothing great.

The view from the restaurant was nice. You can enjoy the view of Burj Al Arab and boats passing by. My only concern was the soundtrack, we were there to have peace of mind and enjoy the view ( that’s why we like alfresco) but the moment we sit, they turned on the music outside as well. <br/>The food was OK. I like what I ordered which was coconut fire rice and my husband go for tempura fish and chips. Expect people taking pictures along the canal and be ready to be a backdrop.

I have been to this place and all other branches many times... I feel it is big place when compared with WTC branch... Wherever it is, their live music is really good and pleasant atmosphere... Presentation of drinks are interesting... My favorite bites over here are chicken skewers (Especially the dip-in along with this) and tempura calamari... I am not sure whether people are aware or not, there is one drink which is out of the menu called 'Titanic' - this is my favorite and good having 2 for a evening

Good drinks but the layout of the bar is not fit for the dancers hanging around the area next to the band opposite the bar. Its too small for a dance floor. Drinks are good tho.

Whether you are looking for a nice, fancy and romantic restaurant to have dinner, or a fun night out to have drinks and enjoy good entertainment, then Trader Vic’s is the place to go. They have a very nice outdoor seating area and a cosy indoor area for you to have a nice dinner, or you can sit on the upper part inside, at the bar, to enjoy the live bands and have some good signature drinks.<br/>Staff are all nice and friendly.<br/>Tried the King Prawns Rougaille, and the 5 Spice Crispy Duck. Food presentation and how it is served is on point! Taste is really good, you can notice the premium choice of ingredients in all main courses. <br/>They also accept Entertainer on the main courses, so you can have 2 for 1.<br/>Overall our experience was really good, and would definitely go back again soon!

What better place to be on weekend? Such a pleasant and delightable ambience to sit and watch the sunset with an amazing meal and awesome cocktail options. The portion for cocktails is commendable, unlike many places.<br/>I tried Salmon and would recommend for anyone who is there next time to try at least once.

Took my Mexican friend to this place at Madinat Jumeirah Souk. He really enjoyed the live music, latin ambiance and the tasty food. The cocktail Puka-puka is the best!

This place is really buzzing in the weekend. Go with your buddies and you will have a nice time. Food is good as well. They have nice band to make you interested in the place though out your visit.

I love the location and the ambience, if you are a latin music lover you defenitely have to go there! They have a wide selection of cocktails, very strong I might add, and very original. The service is super good, and also the food is tasty!

Great place for cocktails, lovely terrace with view on the Madinat waters. <br/>Happy Hour until 8pm, the cocktail are amazing and nicely presented but quite strong!<br/>Food is ok but nothing special, we prefer to go there for drinks, atmosphere and views!

We been there for some cocktails. Pretty good. Outside you can have a quiet dinner and inside you can dance and have a lot of fun! The fruit platter is not that much big as it looks like.

An all time classic hangout place in Dubai. It gets loud at night but still fun. Their Puka Puka drink is the only drink that can get to me! All their cocktails are strong , just to keep that in mind. But they have an endless variety. The service is always good.  Their food is great but too heavy, wish they had more vegetarian options

Live music was great. The cocktails are pretty amazing. The place is a little small and table booking is highly recommended, also specify if you want table at the smoking side or non smoking side.

One of best latin music, and restaurant in Dubai.. but AC doesnt work properly in Bar area especially :( also puka puka drinks was more stronger in past (maybe it’s just me feeling like that)

Like the ambiance<br/>Its the nicest in Jumeirah<br/>Cool staff<br/>Band was playing on Thursday<br/>U can enjoy happy hours<br/>So many kinds of drinks<br/>Like the food nice presentation and taste is fair enough.<br/>But what we didn't like was the air-conditioning system, not working so well, we were sweating even seated, begged the staff couple of times to close the door, but no answer for our prayers.<br/>We will give a shot on another day and hoping it will be cooler.

Good place to hang out next to water front with friendly staff and good food. Range of cocktails is good in addition to regulars. Prior reservations are recommended over weekends.

Went there on a Thursday night, had 2 tiki pukas, 2 mains. The food was awesome, flavors, taste, presentation, flawless. Service was great, portions are relatively small for the price charged, not cheap, recommended if you have never been there.

Celebrated my 30th with tiki pukas and suffering bastards, absolutely love this place! If you are looking just for drinks, i suggest get there early and grab the lounge tables. One deathly drink i would recommend is Titanic - its not on their menu, so ask them to make it and you are sorted for the night 😬

As a famous chain Trader Vic's is pretty much standardised. Their tiki bar is good as always, with various nice drinks, and must try their beef cho cho! It is tender and juicy!

Went there last Wednesday night. My sister was visiting from abroad. We weren’t really that hungry so ordered 2 starters and drinks. I ordered the chicken skewers and my sister ordered prawns a la plancha. We asked the waiter how big the prawn dish was, what does it come with etc. (my sister clearly pointing at the dish on the menu in the starter section). The waiter said it comes with 6 pieces of prawns, rice and spinach. (The waiter knows and is looking at what she is pointing at as he bent down to see). We said yes, we’ll take that. <br/><br/>The food arrived after 20mins and looked exactly how the waiter described. Food was really good, and very tasty. <br/><br/>We asked for the bill and saw that it come up to almost 400dhs for 2 drinks and a 2 starters! I called the waiter over and asked him to fetch me the menu. I’m watching him get the menu and he’s looking at it as he’s bringing it over with a guilty face. <br/><br/>To our surprise, he had served my sister a main (prawns San Francisco) instead that cost 147dhs and had described that to her instead. I called him over and said that we didn’t order that, we ordered prawn starter not the main. He tried to make some lame excuse about the starter menu being a lunchtime menu and that it wasn’t available, which is complete bull because nowhere on the menu does it say that. <br/><br/>I told him to fix the bill and charge us for the starter we had ordered. He took the bill and started serving someone else! <br/><br/>I got another waiter to give us the correct bill. We waited 15mins for the bill, in that time NO ONE came to us. No manager, no nothing. <br/><br/>Another waiter gave us the correct bill. We got no apology or anything. Extremely rude on your behalf, after your waiter tried scam and con us. It’s disgusting. Little did he know I was one step ahead of him and could read his guilty body language. <br/><br/>So sly. Always check and double check your bill when you go there. They might charge you double.

spacious and aesthetically designed . tried the tiki puka pukka it was amazing. Got a few starters too but the tiki puka puka was all trader vics needed to sell me to make me a fan for life.<br/><br/>Went back to traders after 3 long years . Expected the experience not be as good as the earlier one. Well NOTHING has changed, instead it's got better. Way better. The staff is still polite and the tiki is more potent than before. KUDOS team Trader Vic's can't wait to come back again!

Went there for drinks with family visiting for a couple of weeks. Loved the ambience , drinks were good we had beer (happy hour offer) and Margaritas, we even ordered the useless Lamb Chichi's which is apparently a recommended snack on the menu, barely a few bites and literally lighter than lays, good flavor though, Edamame was best snack we had there.....its just really sad to see such a high end place yet they cant afford to offer popcorn or nuts with your beer ...I even asked and they said they dont serve...cmon you got places in Deira offering beers with unlimited nuts or popcorn....this is clearly a way to promote people to buy their overpriced snacks....anyways my vote cos to the ambience and service was not so bad actually......oh and by the way apparently there was a Cuban band supposed to play at 9.30pm as per the waiter ....we waiting till 10.15 and nothing turned up :)

Went there for a night out with friends, and i can’t say it went well. The food came an hour + late, and it was terrible I couldn’t even eat half my plate. The drinks were good. <br/>The ambience on the other hand is really nice. <br/>I wouldn’t go there for food again, only MAYBE for drinks.

Used to be a favourite and advance bookings were a must. Unfortunately now lost the Polynesian ambience it was famed for and now more of a Lebanese party bar. Great setting and the standard TV menu.

It was dinner with friends on Thursday night. We didn’t book but they find a table outside. It’s not my first experience but I am surprised about the lo quality and service that they reached. <br/>It took 20 minutes for the waiter to come and brought the menu, we ordered tica puca puca cocktail and margarita frozen and normal, with some appetizers. The order of drinks took 30 minutes and the appetizer 35 minutes. <br/>The taste of tica puca puca is not the same like before, the margerrita taste better and consistent cause I decided to change the puca. <br/>What make me surprised is the crowed with this level of quality and service, but I think people comes only because of place atmosphere and the old reputation,.

One of my favorite places for drink and party.<br/>Two days ago I went for dinner, unfortunately I had such a disappointing experience, about the quality of food we are talking here, since the service was so pleasant 5/5, but the food was not! 1/5<br/>I tried three different items of appetizers, and none of them were good enough to change my mind... the jalapeño cheese balls were sooo oily, the crispy prawns was over cooked, and dry, the beef cho cho was fine but not tasty ( the meat doesn’t taste fresh!!!) the big shock is the main course ( the steak tenderloin :(((( I order it medium, and I couldn’t eat more than three bites... <br/>please please check where the problem is, this branded place should not serve such this kind of food quality.

Beautiful place with lovely view, we got drinks from “Tropical” and “The Strong” menu; however the Tropical one didn’t taste like alcohol at all and didn’t feel like it; though the Strong drink was quite good and taste was so good. Apart from those we ordered two stellas. <br/>Also ordered one Caesar salad and one Original Cosmo Tidbits which taste good and was enough for two.<br/>Nice music was playing and great professional singers and the band. <br/>All in all, it was such lovely place that I’d like to go again.

Omg....this is Dubai? When the try to sale drinks and they bring it to you after long time and wrong, after long conversation they change for you but u only with 10 min left ( no one informing) till closing. The security guy trying to push u out from the place. He was so rude and don't want to give any management numder( saying it's not allowed). So pls gud do something with it , otherwise it will go not good for your reputation.

Trader Vics is the spot for MAI TAIs and late nights. The setting in the Madinat is enviable and easily the best Trader Vics in Dubai for this reason alone. <br/><br/>On a weekend or Thursday night, you will want to get a booking or risk finding a seat at the bar. Personally, the bar is a good option. This is still a restaurant so there is no club scene or dancing area so you will not be stepped on etc by other people if you're propped up at the bar. The convenience is the bartenders easily spot when you're running low and they are very fast at making refills!<br/><br/>The drinks from the bar are pretty good in particular THE ORIGINAL MAI TAI, the PINEAPPLE MAI TAI and the PASSION FRUIT PUNCH DRINK. I highly recommend those.<br/><br/>The food leaves a little something to be desired. I do not know people that go to TVs for the food. I have had decent food in other establishments within the chain but I find the food here a little lackluster - shame.<br/><br/>In short, come for the drinks and eat elsewhere in the vast array of places within Madinat Jumeirah.

Ordered the Indonesian lamb rack for dinner and it was great! I thought it was perfectly cooked and the peanut butter and mango chutney complimented the soft warm lamb perfectly! The side of noodles were nice but I would have liked vegetables instead because I didn’t feel noodles went well with that lamb rack!

Trader Vic’s always have been my all time favourite. The new look of Madinat branch really adds to the delightful experience. However please train your staff, service needs improvement. I went for a birthday last week and even 2 times I told the waiter I didn’t finish with my dish, he still managed to tidy up the table while I went to dance. This is really disappointing, and very impolite. You really need to train your staff to treat clients with respect. I am coming to celebrate New Year , hope this behaviour of your staff will be corrected and will not be repeated. <br/>Also the band in Crowne plaza is better in entertaining the audience.

We had dinner and drinks on a Monday evening (9pm). <br/><br/>From the appetizers, you should try their cheeseballs and their beef cho cho (beef skewers were very tender).<br/><br/>For our main courses, what stood out were the Crispy Duck and the Paper Thin Filet (Beef) Flambe. The sauce from the beef flambe was really creamy with a nice tangy kick. These two items were prepared by the table so be ready for a nice presentation. ;)<br/><br/>For desserts, we had the 4-set platter, which was a combination of 4 of their desserts. Although to us, these were just okay and you skip them. Try to order the banana flambe which is much, much better.<br/><br/>The drinks are the main highlights of Trader Vic's. Great because the drinks are quite strong. Try the Seyhorse, Lanyu Punch Bowl, and Guava Mai Tai. There's plenty to choose from and if you get confused, just ask the staff as they'll be ready to share their tips on the bar menu. <br/><br/>Service was good and they were attentive to us. As for the ambiance, there's a live Cuban band that played that night. During the later hours, there's a small dance floor in front of the band. The music was good but it was a bit too formal for us. Crowd was mature and since we're not good dancers, we didn't stay long on the floor. Maybe during other nights, when it's busier, it would be even livelier. Overall, we enjoyed our experience in this lively bar and restaurant. <br/><br/>Thanks Suresh for taking care of us!

Their food was okay. The only reason I’m writing this review is because I loved their service and it was one of the best in Dubai. The staff members are very friendly and they managed to create a great experience for me. I was with my friend and she was just giving me my present and wishing me a happy birthday and the staff member( Amin ) heard her and got a desert prepared with a candle and got us chocolates. Without anyone asking him to do so, it was really nice of him. <br/><br/>It’s for this reason I’m planning to come back and visit this restaurant and try it out properly for dinner. <br/><br/>It’s small things like this that keeps the clients coming back and loyal.

Never left an empty plate the environment is amazing the service is perfect even when they are busy parking space also is available one of my favorite places in Dubai

A very lively place with good music. Cocktails  are amazing, should ry - Tiki puka puka . Amazing service and if you want to have a good nice chat with your friends, you should sit outside by the water. Place is little pricey but its worth it.

Excellent ambience.. the place Madinet Jumeriah itself is mesmerising.. Great music with live bands performing..Good food and amazing drinks... Tiki puka puka is a must try.. The place souk madina itself was a amazing experience . Very lively place with good music . Duck breast was lovely - wud definitely like to come again n try more dishes .

Whilst we are spoiled for choice with bars and restaurants in Dubai, Trader Vics (@Madinat), is my favorite go-to for a fun night out. If you're looking for fusion cuisine and great ambiance, look no further!<br/><br/>Went here with my gal pals last week, the cocktails were on point, and the music was invigorating, but the service was slow. For starters we had the spring rolls (crispy 4/5), beef cho cho (literally melted in the mouth and full of flavours that just melded so well together 5/5) and the cosmos tidbits (a mixed platter 4/5).<br/><br/>For our mains, we had the duck pancakes (5/5), massaman curry (shrimp was overcooked and rubbery, but the curry was flavorful 3/5), steamed sea bass (flaky and cooked to perfection 4/5), and the NY pepper steak (4/5).<br/><br/>We were too stuffed to indulge in dessert but it's already on my to-do list!<br/><br/>

Went there for the first time today for drinks. The place is nice. We had 2 drinks that were really good. During happy hour, the prices are not bad. Only concern is the service which is a bit slow. Would probably visit again to try different drinks.

Great music for all latino lovers, with live band at certain times..loved the steak & frites with a big variety of exquisite cocktails! Perfect touristic location as well!

Great atmosphere, amazing cocktails , island vibes and awesome band. Perfect for big groups and for a night of dancing . Music will get your feet tapping.

Being located in souk madinat. Spending time there would be a nice experience. Staff are welcoming and very helpful. The time we visited place, they had a latin night with a live band performance. Prices are slightly expensive but it is worth the money!

Disappointed !<br/>We were a group of 10 & we dined at your restaurant on Tuesday night (17th) we got a table outside. Must say the service was well below average. Had to yell for the waiters as they were nowhere around, the complimentary bread came a good 45 minutes after we were seated. There was no connect between your staff & us ..no napkins/ no tissues... when the food finally came it was average to say the least! The salads we ordered came AFTER we finished our main course.<br/>Even our drinks were disappointing, one of the coconut based drinks we had ordered seemed off and we had to send it back.The staff seemed very complacent even when we complained to them. What a huge disappointment !!!!<br/>Our group had a few visitors from abroad too so we were hoping to give them a great dining experience but it was a huge let down !!!!! Did not expect it from a so called well reputed restaurant . Never Trader Vic's again !

Lovely place .. Ambiance, drinks and food is really great. <br/>I do believe they can improve in terms of service.<br/>Tried their sampler plate in appetizer, it has a yummy juicy lamb chops and crab wonton one of the best ever. <br/>The duck roll are so light and delicious .. <br/>Our friends took the pasta and a sandwich .. Portion was really good so as the taste and quality. <br/>I do recommend this place and will go back to try their main menu :)<br/>O

Filling portions, good service and tasty food is what you'll get, I wouldn't say perfect. MUSIC IS WAY TOO LOUD ... and we love music. Fish and chip batter could have been fluffier, it's a bit dark and oily. Penne sauce was tasty and textured. Three mains and an appetizer at 275 dhs pretty good for the setting and food. Service could be faster and more attentive.

Traders Vic. A place to be for party people and specially couples.. place is bit congested bt it serves u well with a variety of cocktails & cocktails.. <br/>

Can Never go wrong at Trader Vic's. It's the home of the original Mai Tai. I've been going there for ages and still a hot favorite. The casual atmosphere, friendly staff and great drinks define this place.

Trader Vics at Madinat Jumeirah is always guaranteed to provide a great meal with wonderful service and that is why it is our "go to" place.<br/>Amin is our fantastic waiter who always remembers our exact order without asking anything and provides the best and most courteous service that either my wife or I have experienced at any restaurant in Dubai.<br/>Happy hour is great value and the entertainment is always good creating a fun atmosphere so Trader Vics, Amin and his colleagues come highly recommended by us !

one of the oldest places i visited with friends. always brings beautiful memories. we had our friends birthday over there and it was so good. we danced to the latin music and enjoyed a great night to remember
