Chicken Salona (curry or gravy). We have tried at least 11-12 other restaurants in Dubai - Yours is Outstandingly Delicious.
Your SIMPLICITY is the best ingredient.
Keep Shining, Team Al Tawasol.
A place dedicated to mandi and mazbi.. The taste of the food is beyond this world. The majlis setting is beautiful. There slow cooked meat and fish is my favourite, and its packed with flavours.
Was very delicious and warm
We received our food on time. It's still hot. The portion is big which can be shared by 2 persons. Worth the price you paid for.
Very good food and very fast delivery
order chicken Mandi bokhary.. quality of mandi rice is awesome. and the quantity is huge. chicken Mandi was also very soft but a bit fibrous in some parts. delivery was on time and provided with a very tasty lentil soup. there were other accompanients to it which I didn't have. packaging was also decent.
taste was good
but much appreciated if it was delivered hot condition as it was not as how it should be..
very nice timing & hot for serving the guest.
My go to mandi restaurant!
Excellent food, the rice flavor was Amazing especially best place for mandi food I really enjoyed excellent service excellent atmosphere .............🙂
Recently rediscovered this place and is now One of my go-to-place to order Arabian style food. Visited a couple of times but usually order delivery (15-20% discount if order through Zomato).
Their restaurant and delivery service is slow but I put up with it and take it into consideration as I enjoy the food. Don’t accept a song and dance from the staff and most of them don’t speak much English.
Simple authentic style communal (tawasol) eating area. Table seating available but only 5 tables. Closed off family area also.
Dishes tried: chicken & meat - mandi, madfoon, mazby and makboos. Overall all are tasty dishes and the meat dishes are a good portion size, enough for 2 ppl. I always enjoy the makboos but it usually runs out quickly in the evening. Big fan of their lentil soup.
Food is good but delivery takes 100 minutes and saying it is too much where the restaurant is very never our place and should not take 20 to 25 minutes ??!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Was craving mandi since a week now , had meat mandi the chatni had a great seasoning even the meat was so well done .... would like to try biryani next time but the service was very lousy nobody came to ask if we need anything not even once .
Good emirati cuisine with excellent service and tasty bites. Just came by chance to this place and liked my experience. Not the best I have had but definitely a good try
Best mandi/madfoon ever tasted. The meat was so juicy and tender with soft and flavoured basmati rice.Excellent place should try out and try their Bukhari rice authentic Arabic cuisine.
Came a little late, but called the restaurant up and they were very polite, gave me the number of the delivery guy and I spoke to him to give him directions. Food arrived very nicely packed, and tasted yummy as always! Thank you, Tawasol!
I have had good amount of mandi and other kind of emarati food in my life. And this has been one of the places we have come back to again and again. When I say this please don’t think that this place is heavenly. They serve good food. But there definitely is room for improvement. Their madfoon is what I like best. The meat one.
Definately on of the best Mandi joints around. Great service and good quality food especially the Lamb Madgoot is my personal favourite. U can mix it about with a Chicken Mandi just to keep some diversity going.
Al Tawasol , this is the place i have started eating mandi and also my favourite place. I have been there manytimes . Usually we ordering laham mandi , laham madfoon, chicken mandi.
Recently we been there with friends and ordered laham madfoon as usual.
This time I don't know i feel that the quantity of rice is little less but the quality still there .
I can suggest this place for anyone who want to eat yemeni dishes.. Especially mandi.

We ate there last week, for me it's the best mandi rice that i ever ate ever since i am here in uae, we choose chicken mandi rice and it was amazing, will come back again for sure
Hubby, friends and myself were in a serious mood of having a good Mandi and one of our friend suggested this place.
After entering the staff enquired about no. Of people and accordingly showed us the sitting space. It was large enough for all of us and we all took out seat.
We ordered 3 chicken Mandi and one lamb Mandy. The staff nodded with a smile.
He brought us first the lentil soup which was really yummy followed by the salad.
He then brought us the raw tomboys yo chutney.
Finally all our Mandi arrived in a big round plate.
We were thrilled to see the same.
It looked superb. Within no time we served the same and finished it too. It was
yummy. The lamb was well cooked and
was tender. The chicken was good too.
We ordered for extra tomato chutney and we got it within no time.
The staff was attentive, smiling continuously while talking to customers and was sincere.
The place was neat and clean.
Yes you do get lot of paring space available outside though not sure about the peak hours.
Value for money too.
Would definitely go again and will recommend to others too.
Located near the iconic Clock Tower, Tawasol is one of the best Mandi places to look out for. Finding a parking spot here is a bit of a challenge, unless you want to park in the private parking area.
Moving on to the order, which was Chciken Madbhi with half portion of Bukhari rice and half portion of normal rice. The Bukhrai rice is quite different here compared to other Mandi restaurants. There were no raisins neither was it that greasy. The chicken was tender and did not lack flavor. The quantity is quite filling as well.
Overall, the experience at Tawasol was a great one, keeping in mind their service, food and ambiance.

Al Tawasol is another of the ubiquitous Mandi places in Dubai/Sharjah, and they certainly know what they're doing.
Closely located round the corner from Bait al Mandi, Al Tawasol also serves yemeni/arabic cuisine with the specially cooked meat and chicken in various formats accompanied by some delicious rice.
Where Al Tawasol differs from the regular Mandi establishments, is that their menu is a little more varied, giving different takes on the meat-with-rice staple so popular in the Middle East. You have the signature Mandi/Madhbi/Madfoon, and also other items like Madghoot (pressure cooked), and even Harees (Oat/meat item popular amongst locals during Ramadan)
My favourite item in this cuisine, is the Madfoun, where the meat or chicken is cooked under coals and served with rice. I have had their Chicken Mandi previously, and it was as good as others in the area, but the Madfoun is fresh in my mind so I'll describe it. From experience Madfoun tends to have a better flavour that compliments the rice better
Firstly, unlike some of its competitors, they didn't serve fresh yoghurt with the food, which adds a wonderful balance to the spicy sauce, and goes perfectly with the rice. They lost a point there, and their delivery is usually a little slower than its competitors.
Nevertheless, when the focus reverts back to the food, one tends to forget some of the lapses. Where Al Tawasol excel is their rice, which is cooked to absolute perfection, with the right amount of stock and seasoning and even some clove to give it a more Biryani feel.
The Chicken was flavoursome and faultless, although the meat was exceptionally tasty and tender in parts, yet overly dry in others. This (along with the lack of yoghurt that luckily I had in the fridge) were the flaws in this meal.
The spicy sauce accompaniment was on point, with just the right amount of tomato and chilli so as to enhance the flavours rather than numb your taste buds, and the soup served with the meal was a nice touch. Most Mandi places would give you some tasty-albeit-a-touch-bland stock, rather than a dedicated soup.
On average the prices were 5-10 AED more than others in the area, but significantly cheaper than what you will find in the newer parts of Dubai (and tastier).
If they can speed things up a little, and ensure a little more consistency in the meat, then it gets a higher rating, nevertheless 4 is appropriate and reflects the high quality food. These places are suited to takeaway and delivery, and due to the items being served in foil packaging will retain heat a while for those that need to travel a distance to get their meal.
Handsdown the best Mandi/Mazbi/Kabsa restaurant in the area. They have a variety of different types of Mandis and Mazbis available, the salads are fresh and the service is quick and efficient. The soups need to be better though.
What I can say...
Arabic style serving - private set up. Don't expect fancy set up!
Great taste - always go for chicken mashbi with mandi rice or chicken mandi rice. Don't really suit the taste of fish plate they have. Even our previous president SBY loves their menu. Yeap!!
Hubby loves the mandi lamb and lil kiddo love the chicken. End up with tea with mint - niceeee...Friendly to your wallet and earthy portion. What can i ask more :)
Great for family dinner or just to gather with closed friends. Those who can't sit on floor may have a bit uncomfy eating in private room but they have table and chairs - which we don't like at all! Waiters are friendly though with lil English - rather very basic. But all good - we know what we want when we dine here.
Mandi here has never disappointed us... And we are very frequent here,,, Traditional seating arrangements and friendly staff... Must try for all mandi lovers..
Hands down best Mandi ever Chicken or Meat. Their rice quality is outstanding and so is the generous amount of meat offering.
If you are around the restaurant and plan to order-in, make sure you get someone Arabic speaking to do so since it's almost certain they will get your order wrong.

I was having my one week holiday in Dubai. This place is defo my favorite food on the whole trip!
Mandi rice is a traditional dish made from rice (basmati), meat (lamb or chicken), and a mixture of spices. The rice has just the right amount of spices that can leave you eating…one full place by yourself. Which can easily feed 3 normal person in other normal situation. Price is so cheap and the place has traditional setting when you can sit in an…indoor tent-ish?
It is very very yummoooooo. Taste is light, and surprisingly not greasy. Usually people go for lamb, but I prefer the fish.
Ps. Call first! They are always crowded. Plus, if you don’t like eating with your hand (like how people should eat it) bring your own spoons. Bring wet-tissue and plates as well because they only give some handful of plate since you are supposed to eat it…in a big plate together with other people.

My personal favorite! Mandi here is the most delicious in town, the chicken is perfectly done and nicely flavored. I love their bukhari rice, so juicy and full of flavor
I dont really prefer mandi for dinner. But my hubby took me there once and I totally enjoyed it and I must add, I had my most memorable dinner time with my family. Alhamdulillah :-)
