من المطاعم المفضلة عندي جدا جدا، افضل وجبات جربتها كانت ريب اي ستيك Medium Well وصحن الهكونا متاتا بالاضافة لصحن Warrior Platter الخدمة جيدة ولا بأس بها مع العلم انهم انتقلوا من الدور الارضي لدور آخر بجانب مطعم Texas de Brazil بس للاسف سعره اصبح غالي جدا جدا وهذا سبب اعطائي لهم ٣ نجوم فقط One of the favourite resturant in Dubai, my opinion that best orders were rib eye steak, Ox tail and Hakona Matata and warrior Platter. Service was good but unfortunately the prices were very expensive and that's why I gave them 3 stars only. Note that they relocate the resturant to new floor bedside Texas de brazil.

المطعم خارج عن المألوف في وصفات الطعام، لكن هذا ما يميزه عن الاخرين، النكهات جداً لذيذة. و لكن سعره مرتفع قليلاً. أنصح به. The restaurant is out of the ordinary in its recipes, but that's what distinguishes it from others, the flavors are very delicious. But its price is a little high. I recommend it.

Tribes recently moved to a new location which is close to the cinema. Convenient to eat before or after a good movie. We went there to celebrate our 1st anniversary, we had the whole fish and chicken the food was of the highest standard. Served on hot and on fancy plates too. Service was top notch. I am basing my rating on the WAGYU BURGER. One of the best gourmet burgers in Dubai. The patty is of highest quality lying on a delicious piece of Ribeye. The cheese, caramelized onions and sauce give the perfect blend to make it an excellent filling choice. Steaks for me are ok but its been a while, so will add steak review after my next visit to be fair. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED (WAGYU BURGER)

Tribes restaurant has now moved to a new location in Mall of the Emirates, closer to the cinema this time. Tribes restaurant brings in amazing flavors from Africa. It is an African specialty restaurant who excites with their tantalizing dishes, with its spices and high grade meats. Menu is very much exciting for a non-vegeterian at this restaurant. They have some very traditional dishes and for sure they have the most exciting platters ever. They’ve got platters for all sections(Starters, Mains and Desserts) which can only make you drool.

Right from when I was escorted to my table to me leaving the service was impeccable... My African waitress Mariah was awesome.. she made me feel welcomed (knowing that I went there alone), checking with me every now and then. I wanted to do a full course meal, entree, main and dessert but they served a hot bread while you wait for your order so I didn’t wanna over do it! 🥴 Mariah suggested the avocado and beetroot salad for starter, I was a bit hesitant coz I don’t really like beetroot but I gave in to her and said yes. And honestly, I was really happy I did coz it was really good. The salad dressing toned down the strong earthy flavor of beetroot... a bit more of the salad dressing would have been excellent. 😉 I wanted the prime rib but wasn’t available so I opted for the oxtail. The fall of the bone meat was so soft it literally can melt on your mouth. I loved every bite! Highly recommend for meat lovers! 🤩 a bit pricey on the side but I think it is well worth it.

This is one of my favorite restaurant in Dubai for its Beef Rib Steak. I had two guests who has come from Malawi. I invited them for lunch at tribe. Freshly baked bun as starter is always attraction but this time I missed Walnut Bread. Beef Rib Steak was delicious.

Felt delighted visiting this place , when entering the restaurant we were welcomed by a group of African staff playing drums with huge smiles on their face , one of them with a humble gesture looked at me and said welcome to tribes sir ! I felt really overwhelmed with this African vibe and ethnicity. Talking about the food , each and every dish of it was delectable and appetising , the presentations were unique and staggering . The occurrence of side dishes being equally delish as the main courses is very rare - but at tribes you could witness this very cost effectively ! Coming to the dessert , the presentation was awestrucking again and the taste of each cheesecake and brownie was absolutely luscious !! I would recommend this place to all my pals and would love to visit it with my entire family again :)

I would order the Equatorial chicken with steak fries whenever I come to Tribes. Perfectly cooked and moist chicken 😍 Loved the herb flavor ❤️ Their steak fries are one of the best fries I’ve ever had 💕 (soft on the inside and crispy on the outside: just the way I like it 😇) The chocolate malva pudding was a great dessert to end with 😇 The ambience of the place was spot on! (Feels like I’m in Africa 😄)

I wasn’t surprised when I found out that it was the same company of Meat Co. Their meat is delicious and always cooked nicely, although I feel the quality has gone down a bit since they first opened. The wagyu beef and rib eye are my favorite steaks there with the mushroom sauce. High quality meat and lovely/friendly staff that play drums on special occasions/birthdays :)

Great option for a casual meal when you are craving meat. As soon as we ordered we were served a warm complimentary bread with butter, which were absolutely delicious. The meat itself is very tender and tasty and the side dishes are equally great. The setting is nice and if you are sitting inside you are fat from the mall’s hustle and bustle. The service is very attentive without going overboard.

Ordered the Warriors’ Platter and Tribes Special Mocktail. The drink wasn’t special at all, certainly doesn’t deserve 31 dirhams. The plate, however, was mind blowing! For a whopping 368 dirhams, you can get this mouthwatering platter. It was worth every dirham😍 Perfectly spiced and cooked with the right temperature! The potato sides were also delightful, and the touch of cherry tomatoes and rosemary branch added to the aesthetic of the dish. Would definitely recommend it to meat lovers.

Love the food, it’s a bit too pricy in my opinion especially considering Dubai economy nowadays... wouldn’t expect to pay too much for a chicken dish especially. But if that’s what you’re craving the food really is delicious and I would recommend it for a luncheon! The vibes are nice, though sitting inside is a bit gloomy and doesn’t have the ambience you’d expect of a lively African themed restaurant, felt a bit like I was sitting in a dimly lit tent! However, this is just me being a bit picky, overall I did enjoy my visit here and as a South African the food was definitely enjoyable.

Came to Tribes yesterday 14/4/19 for my husbands birthday been wanting to try this place for ages. We sat down and thought better not order starters as we are light weights 🤣 went straight to the main we both had the stake 😱 it was so soft and tasty you get one side but you have to order a sauce. It was fantastic could not fault it at all the service the atmosphere and the drinks. My husband loves his birthday. I went to tribes for a lunch around 3pm. The ambience is really nice and cool vibe. Its so spacey and decorated with dark light. Burger was out of the world so yummy, juicy and delicious as well huge. Fries were crispy and delicate at the same time. Great mocktail.

Most of the time it seemed as if they couldn’t understand what we were trying to communicate though they were friendly they could definitely improve the timing. They play these African music on special celebrations which was really good African lamb spring roll was alrite but quite sweet, and the lamb filling was also a bit sweet and dry could do with a bit more spice to it North African chicken burger came in piping hot but chicken was a bit dry and chewy as I hoped for it to be succulent and it lacked flavor Bunny chow chicken was too good, unexplainablely good, the baked bread, the flat bread the dip and the chicken curry. Everything was outstanding Mix grill braai I feel was expensive for the quantity served but it tasted quite good and served piping hot Cape malay fish curry was good, the rice papadam, yogurt dip was the combination really went well Fully loaded beef burger was alrite but came a little fancy with melted cheese Chocolate malva pudding was an average as the one in dubai mall branch is out of the world Sweet tribal feast was alrite but by the time the got it to us we had to keep on asking as we were celebrating a friend Aroma of Africa was out of the world it’s a must try and was really good Watalala a shareable drink for a group was quite the quantity and really good and most of the time kept sipping on it

Had lunch at this amazing african steakhouse, everything about this restaurant is superb, from the service to the decor and the food. Ordered the striploin 220g that comes with one side which is affordable for a steak being 79 dhs, and you can use the entertainer, they serve hot bread and butter. The manager is very welcoming and has a sense of humor, and so does the waiter/waitress. I love going to tribes, it gives me good vibes and a good feeling thay you travelled to Africa. Amazing place for steaks. This place gives you a feel of Africa. The steaks were cooked to perfection just the way we wanted. Among the sides the sweet potato fries was what I really liked. Sorry, but very disappointed guest here. I’ve been a frequent guest there for 8 years and have loved it. But tonight, they served me the most boring, cold beef ribs I’ve ever had. And smallest portion as well. Comparing to Butchers Shop, these ribs was tiny and the big steak knife had problems cutting through the not-tender meat. When I told them, what did they do? Nothing... Just brought me the bill. No one came to ask about it, no manager or chef. Very strange. Sad. This was a super place once.

Started with a very tasty and very authentic appetizer (ordered the African Lamb Spring Rolls). Very tasty side sauce, and a definite must-try. Then, went on to have what may have been the best steak I ever had, or at least the best in a very long time (ordered the Wagyu Blade, medium). The ribs were just perfect too (ordered the Beef Short Ribs). Only thing that was not very special was the drink we ordered, but it was still tasty and refreshing (ordered the African Sunset). We also loved the complementary bread bun they brought in the start.

Very enthusiastic of this food it offers😶 it is sandwich with chicken egg filling and the bread is fully grilled to toast it crispy to add the crunchiness of the meal. Finger fries of potato variety is added to supplement the taste of the meal. Salad is used to the meal for the addition of greens to feel the light side of it. 😑 Bon Appetite 😶

Tribes was on my bucket list for quite a while now finally visited this place and also met a regional actress from Bengal. Had the pastrami sandwich which they serve with potato fries and salad. Moreover the complementary bread they give with butter is just too good.

I loved this place since they started operating, but their service went down hill since 2017. I promised myself not to dine there anymore, but today I had guests and with their previous experience in 2016, they asked me to take them to this restaurant. Big disappointment that after waiting for 20 min at the entrance. Waiting to be seated, someone came and asked what I am waiting for and when I responded I am waiting for someone to assist me he just looked at me. There was no one around to serve us. Guests were all looking for waiters to look at them or pay attention to Ly their bills or ask for fork. This was really disappointing. I hope the management care about feedbacks and do something about it before it changes to one of the displays only.

I stumbled upon this restaurant during a shopping day, I hadn’t heard about it and I was pleasantly surprised. I had a simple grilled rib eye for lunch, the meat was so tender and tasty and even the mashed potatoes were excellent. The service was great too.

Been here a few times over the last 4 years. Their beef ribs, for me, are the best ribs I’ve eaten in Dubai. They are consistently perfect! I’m the kind of person that doesn’t like eating out,even though I do it so often-crazy I know, because of all the bad meals I’ve eaten in Dubai. Tribes how ever is one place that I have NEVER been disappointed at. Their food quality is top class! The Hakuna Matata platter was a selection of tender and succulent meats consisting of ribs, sausages and chicken. The meat was perfectly cooked with excellent spices complimented by the mash and chips. The only reason for the 4/5 was the portion of the chips and mash that came with the platter was too small. The highlight of the meal was the Oxtail. I think it is evident the cooking method was low and slow as the meat was falling off the bone. The flavours were strong very rich, beefy, well-seasoned stew. I’d highly recommend the Oxtail. As for the dessert the Creme Brûlée was average and so was the chocolate. I wasn’t really a fan of the milk tart and the coconut balls. That could be just because of my personal preferences. The mocktails were very nice I recommend the ginger fresh which had a hint of passion fruit. The ginger flavour was very subtle and not overpowering. The African sunset consisted of mango, and orange. The African Sunset was average and could’ve used a bit more mango as it mostly tasted like orange juice. The drinks were also too small hence the overall 3.5 for the African sunset. Overall, the customer service was fantastic as the staff went above and beyond to make my experience at Hakuna Matata memorable.

The first time I was tempted to try this place is when I saw a video of the staff dancing and playing instruments for someone’s birthday. I thought it was cool so I checked it out on zomato and decided to visit. The menu has a lot of variety which is great. We ordered the grilled calamari and the Moroccan chicken and capsicum salad as appetizers. Both were really good! I would really recommend the salad. The dressing was so good. For mains, we ordered the Moroccan Spices chicken and the snapper fillet. They were good but both really needed some sauce. Especially the fish. It was a bit disappointing that you have to order sauce separately and be charged. They should at least serve you one sauce with your dish. Also, we were frustrated when we were the 1st ones to arrive out of 3 tables around us and got our food last.... Regardless we really enjoyed our lunch and would definitely go again (can’t wait to have that salad again).

Their Wagyu steak is absolutely drool worthy, it’s accompanied with their bbq sauce. Their side dishes are quite big. Ordered the sautéed mushrooms. Also , try their complimentary freshly baked bread as well.

I am not a hard man to please...so what Tribes staff do for me is indescribable: amazing warm friendly staff, and Uber delicious ox tail or short ribs with ugali are the go to for me and they never fail to sate my ravenous appetite. And who does the "drum routine" anyway except for these guys - the African beat resonates with soul of all within earshot

First time trying this place! The complimentary bread is hot and delicious! Tried the filet (medium) with a side of sweet potato fries! The meat was super tender and moist and juicy, the fries were perfectly seasoned and not oily! The interior is beautiful with a really cool african vibe! Love everything here, def recommended!

I was craving a good juicy burger and I knew I’d be disappointed by most joints. I wanted fresh good quality meat and boy did this deliver. I had the cheeseburger with potato wedges. The potatoes were nothing special if anything they were just average if not slightly below, but the burger. Oh my the burger was so succulent. It came in a deep round plastic bowl and I was so thankful for the packaging because the burger was so juicy, it would leak every time I held it/ bit into it. The meat was so fresh and tender. The bun was soft and delicious. Bottom line: come here for the ideal burger

Great steaks in an African set up. The grill house cooks good steaks and decent price. Have had a couple of cuts, one every visit I make, never have been disappointed with the steak. Always cooked to that perfect pink in the middle and slight char on the outside. The sweet potato fries always remain my favorite side, mash isn't too shabby either. The calamari is good to begin with, but the tray of bread does the trick too. And, finally for the desert, the date cake. Best in town. The servers need to be more attentive and quick, my last two visits I have felt that took way too long to even notice us.

Been here today, heard about the place from a friend. Place is nice and cosy, ambience is really good, staffs are friendly. Ordered beef ribs & a mixed platter and for drinks ginger mocktail and African sunset Food was ok. The place is not worth for money portion are really small. Cost for food is very high and portions are very very less. Concept is good,presentation up to the mark. Food 3/5 Ambience 4/5 Service 4/5 Worth for money 2/5. Don't visit the place if you want value for money. There are way better place than this in Dubai were you get food worth for the money that you paid.

One of the good restaurants in Dubai, famous for their meat, as it’s South African. The restaurant is very nice, cozy, and you can feel the south African theme in the whole interior. Food is really good, and portions are big. We ordered the Fully Loaded Beef burger and it was huge and really good! The beef is very tasty and juicy. The reason I gave it a 3 stars os because of the service; the waiter was not very clear while talking to us, and he seemed a bit ignorant about the menu items. Also, the food took quite some time to be ready, so be sure not to be starving when you go there. Otherwise the experience was good, we enjoyed the food.

We tried tribes for lunch. They served us bread and butter before serving the food. The bread tastes so good and fresh. We ordered chicken bunny chow, striploin steak and Moroccan spices grilled chicken . The steak wasn’t that great as it lacked flavor and was so chewy. The grilled chicken was really good along side with the mashed potatoes and the fried okras. The seasoning of the chicken was very tasty and the chicken was so fresh and melts in the mouth. The bunny chow is by far the best dish. The bread itself is so tasty along with the great flavor of chicken and its gravy. Would definitely recommend!

This place was truly amazing!! The food was amazing. But, the best thing about the entire experience is the waiter. He was such a sweetheart. His name is Gilbert and he was one of the best waiters I have ever met in all restaurants in the UAE! God bless him!!

Lovely authentic atmosphere, along with a nice occasional live African drums by the staff. The food there is to die for. We tried the rainbow salad, cheese burger, and the different steaks multiple times. Every time the service was excellent, fast, and the food was an amazing experience. Highly recommended. The portion size was excellent so we didn't have time for desert, next time for sure.

The African themed decor transports you into another place and would almost make you forget you’re in the mall. They have live entertainment, which adds to the experiences, and comfy seats. 👩🏼‍💼 Service: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Attentive service, warm, polite and knowledgeable. 🥩 Food: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. We’ve had the ribeyes and other types of meat. The portions are by far the best I’ve had compared to other restaurants. Cooked to perfection, presented exactly like on the pictures. Both the mash and the baked potatoes were perfect, and their house mocktails are a welcome fresh touch for a heavy meal. Only sad they don’t have a better selection of desserts (the chocolate cake was alright). Overall, great value for money, and never disappoints.

Lovely atmosphere, with great interior design. Friendly and polite staff and the service is so fast. The taste of the food was a little different to me yet it was delicious. It’s a great place for birthday surprises. Staffs gather all at the table with their musical instruments and perform birthday songs and celebrate it in a different way which is absolutely fun.

What I'd go back for: *Wagyu burger - Wagyu burger (cooked medium well). Great tasting juicy burger. Definitely worth a try *USA black angus striploin - cooked medium rare. Juicy and tender. Ordered: *South Africa grass-fed fillet - juicy, tender, and sweet. I didn't like this because of the sweet taste of the meat. Yummy and juicy wagyu burger cooked medium well. Their strip loin (cooked medium) was also good but I found it chewy at times, on another occasion we ordered medium rare and I would not go back to medium again. I like their mashed potato and complimentary bread too. Indoor lighting is a bit dim, makes me sleepy more so after eating. Customer service is good but at times, slow.
