مكان جميل جدا والاكل لذيييذ 😊😊

A Japanese restaurant and bakery serving very nice pastries and breakfast. I suggest if they serve the breakfast and the bakery in brown bread.

Worst experience ever.. both staffs are real rude in al wasl shop..ordered iced matcha latte and yamanote matcha latte got charged for the price of iced yamanote matcha latte.. When i double confirm with the cashier he argued with me theres an update of the price in the system and the price from menu are old price. This is CHEATING..

Such a cute and original Japanese cafe in Dubai... love their pastries, teas and coffee! A perfect hangout place for mum's, couples and even families...

تذوقت البسكويت الياباني عندما كنت في زيارة لإطار دبي وكان خفيفا لذيذا واشتريت منه كهدايا.... ارحو أن تفتحوا لكم فرعا في السعودية

Great little find on Al Wasl ... Very cosy atmosphere, we loved the light and soothing colours inside. Tasty treats didn't disappoint.

My favorite breakfast place in Dubai. How I miss their pastries... Please come to NYC !! Seriously though, New Yorkers would go nuts over this, Yamanote would become one of those sensations with lines out the door.
Angelica Baking Sampaga
I love everything the place, the food and most great customer service

Nothing to shout about. Breads and pastries on display are hard. Not Japanese at all. Been to the one at DIFC. All breads and pastries on display were exposed to AC that makes the buns hard. Should have protective cover.
Nael Aboul Hosn
what i did not like is the way the cashier deal with people as if they are eating for free try to train your employee how to smile☺☺except one guy his name is 'ray ' helpful and friendly person
Sameer Ahmed
It's simply one of the best Japanese Atelier in dubai. They make every product just Perfect.
Christina Wright-Terry
I love Yamanote. My favourite everything. Their bread is out of this works and the deserts are amazing. When I go back to the uk. I always take tons of Yamanote products home with me. Xx

Great bakery!

Went today for a coffee and babycino only to be charged more for the babycino(steamed milk) than my coffee! Told
by staff it has to be charged as a hot chocolate. Incredible since many don’t even charge for this!
Also made to feel very uncomfortable as we were constantly stared at by staff who kept looking over at our table and whispering amongst one another. This made my little boy very uncomfortable and we made a quick finish and left. Won’t be back here as certainly not worth the prices charged or the staffs attitude.

Great place to take a coffee break with a Japanese pastry. Coffee is excellent and kids selection of buns keep them amused. Enjoy and relax. I love the coffee cups.

I liked the warm lighting of this place. Looks fabulous from outside when one is passing by the Wasl Road, and much cooler when I was inside. Good food, great level of hygiene, Staff friendly and in well groomed. I liked the subtle minimal design and colors, the walls, the chairs. Seems very relaxed. Food is great too.

😍 🥐 🍕If you love Japanese fresh bakes then you’ll not want to miss Yamanote on Al Wasl Road. A display of their bakes enables you to ask and choose sweet and savoury selections for dine in, take away or delivery. Special offers of 6 pieces for AED 58. Love their drizzled croissants and baked to order pizza selections. Highly recommended I’ll be back soon! ❤️

My number one Japanese bakery in the uae
I’ll always pick up a cheese tart and a bottle of milk tea whenever I’m around
I also love the cheese croissant
Ambience is quiet and Cosy if you want to have a peaceful break this is a nice place
Fikre Haj Husein
Tried so many of their desserts including Nutella cake, custard roll, Japanese cheesecake, and their biscuits as well. They were all so good!! The only comment is it’s a bit pricey
Adrina Osman
Best bakery in town! My fav is their croissants all the different ones especially the yamanote & matcha croissants! Tried the blueberry ones today and it was so delicious too, flakes on the side & moist in the middle w cream cheese 💯
G-Rated
Adorable Japanese bakery in Al Safa, you get the full Japan experience by picking out your baked good with tongs and stacking them on your personal tray. Don't miss our favourites: the Olive & Feta or Almond croissants, two options to satisfy your savoury/sweet cravings. Their croissants are heavenly, the perfect balance between flaky, crunchy, and moist. It’s also worth mentioning that the Nutella bun is their best seller. They just branched out to Dubai Mall and the aesthetic is on point.

It's bare bones but a great place for very specialised Japanese deserts. The green tea cheese cake is really good and ofcourse the breads are all worth a tasting.

Visited this outlet with my squad . Had bbq chicken my favorite , honey mustard chicken and beef sausage rool . Milky bun as a desert was good choice . Amazing staff . Overall it was nice.
Ishani
One of my favourite restaurants in Dubai, quality of food is outstanding, clean, different, kids would love this restaurant for snakes, light pastry and delicious Japanese early morning food ... highly recommended to all.

I just happened to visit this place as one of my good friend in saudi asked me to get their soufflé cheesecake as she had it when in dubai . Even I happened to eat one slice of it, me not being a fan of Japanese cheesecake it changed the whole perception. The best cheesecake I ever had . Definitely worth a try
I gave 4 stars because of the price of per piece (quiet small) is 13 dhs
Their customer service is amazing though ❤️
Kinanti Ambarsari Faluzia
Tastiest and best quality japanese bread in Dubai
They are quiet pricy but you got what you paid!
They are serve sweet to savory japanese bread and my top 3 are japanese cheesecake, melon bun and cheesecake bread

Nice place in Wasl area. They have variety of bakery products to choose from.

The breads are delicious especially the hello kitty nutella. I also enjoyed the my green tea macha.

Budget friendly, and recommended to visit.

Excellent foot, super tasty and the presentation of the food is an art by itself! had a quick bite from this place at work, and i was like why on earth i didn't know about it before!
Mohammed
My colleagues ordered some cold-subs and pastries at work from this place, as soon as I have my first bite, i was browsing this place's website! food is delicious, super taste and yummy. Everyone enjoyed every single bite of it. I will definitely visit it with my family tonight.

This Japanese bakery was in my MustToGo list as soon I knew about it.
unfortunately I didn't got what I wanted the most and that was the cronut, l was too late, it was already gone.
But the other pastries I got was good though, lil pricy comparing to donuts shops.

A super cute bakery in saga which I’ve been hearing for a while and finally visited. I tried their famous baked cheesecake and nutellla hello kitty bun and they were both sooo good specially the Nutella bun. It had a generous amount of filling and was so soft. Even the bakery ambience is very cute and pretty and id love to go back to try more things. I also tried their curry bun and lotus bun which were pretty nice as well.
Apurv Chaturvedi🏅
Super budget friendly
Bakery products are amazingly delicious
The food items prepared are fresh and served at well temperatures .
Good for group dine

Their food variety is very nice, also the quality is very high. I like their Chef and his choices.
Value for money and you get what you pay for in the nice ambiance, their lovely service and their tasty food.

The custard pie is very popular and to get your hands on it, is next to impossible !
The kiri cheese croissant is one of the best sellers. The blend of the cheese with the sweetness is good but excess of it can trip your guilt switch.
The cheesecake is really soft and has foam-like texture. Quantity is not satisfying but the taste is balanced and perfect. Best japanese cheesecake according to me in dubai.
The panda lotus bun is average.
Ambience is pleasant and the staff is professional. Just hoping to get my hands on that custard pie again !
Ankit Malik
I love this place very much specially there dessert section you can eat that 24 hours a day . Japanese cheesecake I loved here .but this place is not for night life people it close I think 9 pm.

I popped into yamanote to have a cup of coffee. Oh boy! This place is a paradise of baked goods...both savoury and sweet. Everything is laid out and you pick a tray and add whatever you like and then head to the billing counter. From tartines to custard filled pies and brioche stuffed with custard and connamon rose applea..
.you want to eat it all. People afraid of carbs better not come in. I picked the french toast to try . It was served with honey. I did not add the honey . Without the honey it had the perfect sweetness for me. Though addition of some freah berries would have been even better. I also tried the baked cheesetart and the croquette bun. The croquette bun had vegetable croquettes within a bun. It wasn"t wow so skip it. The baked cheese tart was fabulous. The tart was buttery and crumbly and light and the fillibg was even lighter. It was just like eating a mouthful of clouds.I feel they do sweet better than savoury.
I also tried the matcha cappuccino for the 1st time. It had a unique flavour with a subtle sweetness from the matcha...i loved the taste.
Perhaps this is what will keep bringing me back here. A must try!

Fav place. Can’t cross this place without taking Japanese cake . Lovely ambience. Fresh place to have fresh tasty breads. In love with this cute place
FoodPecker
I absolutely love their desserts! Rose croissant, kiri cheese, Japanese cheesecake are my favs here! It’s only disappointing that they close early as 9pm.
Since it’s a relatively new dessert cuisine option for Dubai , it would be great if they could introduce bite size samples to encourage the bigger buys!

I’m still hunting for something similar in Melbourne!!
Veggie In Dubai
2 words- MILKY BUN.
This place has the most incredible Japanese desserts that in spite of being so delicious are so light and fluffy!

If you're in the area and looking for a quick bite or dessert, pop into this little spot that gives you your own basket and lets you go around picking what you want. Good luck, because everything looks incredible!

Besides the obvious fangirl loving for the milky bun, I would recommend the cream bun, red bean bun and the kitty Nutella.

Went to this branch with high hopes and excitement as we have not been here before unfortunately, it was a let down. No welcome, no assistance when we came in until we asked one of the staff to help us. A bit disappointed when we found out that they don’t serve salads and other kinds of food we saw here on Zomato. We ordered at least a dozen different breads and pastries to try. There were some cute breads, some tasty ones and a couple that need to be served much fresher. Some breads were in a tray or basket with no cover. Coffee was good. Lady at the cashier looked and talked like she didn’t want to be there. I went to this branch planning to order a take away box or two to bring home but after the whole experience, I changed my mind. Won’t be coming back.

Japanese Bakery concepts are the most unique across the globe.. Yamanote Atelier is a feather on the cap.. it’s unique style breads are eye catching and still yummy at its best.. this is one Japanese bakery that is high recommended.. staff is very good.. great please to eat.
Cheers !
Rosegurl1583
Great pastry, great presentation, great ambience.
But the food is exposed, displayed pastries open to flies. Slow service.
PS. Do not request change to ur dish coz that confused and gonna take century the food to arrive.

Quick taste:
Good style and cute bakery. Where bread is fun, fresh and tasty. I felt in love with the rose cake and enjoyed the panda Lotus.
I will be bak for sure to delighting more.
Staff really helpful, patient and friendly!
Have been to the one in Dubai mall before
Their desserts are superb
This time had their omlette , wowsa. Filling. Tasty. And food value for money.
Also had the iced macha latte. Mmmmmm. Deff worth the buy.
Cutesy high end Atelier tucked away in Dubai mall. The Japanese cheesecake is divine! The little finger food is alright. Try the curry donuts, chicken cutlets and the chicken/ meat baos and matcha buns. Skip the French toast, because it reeks of eggs.
Moka
This for sure one of the best pastry shops that I know of. They have a great range of snake and they are reasonably priced. Their Custer roll is a must have, I can't leave the shop without grabbing at least one.

Food as fun is a thought that has really been brought into majority of food lover's radars by Heston Blumenthal. His name just sort of sparks the idea that food could be funny, could make you smile. It can play tricks. Molecular gastronomy tries to use that concept as one of it's building blocks and helps in expanding it too.

It's all cool and fun but the problem comes when you can't really find any food which is fun or any funny food unless you are willing to part away with your wallet. It tends to be real expensive, luxurious and hardly makes it to some reasonably priced places.

Yamanote and a few other Japanese bakeries breaks that barrier. It brings fun into food even while competing with its contemporary cafes. It ain't cheap but it ain't eye watering expensive either. They manage to keep prices on the same level as your every day starbucks, costa, caribou etc. But they bring some creativity, fun and that lost smile when you have a look at their food or take a bite. We have tried numerous of their creations and like going back whether its the kiri cheese croissants, or the hello kitty buns or the lunch box in a sandwich concept. They like doing some over the top croissants and sandwiches too filling up a tart with just Kiri or going berserk with chocolate in a croissant.

If you are into matcha, try their lattes with matcha. If you are into Japanese souffle cheese cakes, then try their fluffy creations. Or just pick a tray and pick all the colourful fun tasty delights. Atleast it will make you smile :)
Natalya Schluechter
Just like the other outlets, this spot is exactly what you expect from a cafe that caters to delicious treats and bits! Definitely recommend their matcha latte - very unique!

Was looking for the best Japanese cheesecake in dubai and some friends recommended this place, i went their at 6 pm and they told me they are out of cheesecake and that i have to come early morning and that what i did next day i got the 5 pieces box, yes it was vey good but very small i mean really small, it was little disappointment for me specially that i had to go there twice for it.

Very nice bakery..
The hello kitty is my best pastry in here..
the cheese pastry is also good..
the best thing about this bakery is the softness of the bread..
the soft served icecream is one on the best for the chocolate/vanilla flavors.

Cutest location of all three: lovely and peaceful ambience. Service is extremely friendly and attentive. Yamanote is my favourite place for pastries in Dubai. Everything is delicious, but today I tried:

- Blueberry custard pastry (14AED): the pastry was just crunchy and buttery, with a thin layer of custard and blueberry compote. Lovely!

- Curry Donut (12AED): my favourite. Not spicy, but very flavoursome, with a crunchy outside (served warm).

- Pain au chocolat (14AED): this is made with high quality dark chocolate. Very flavoursome and with the perfect amount of chocolate.

- Chocolate croissant (14AED): this is a relatively new addition to their menu. It has almond cream and red beans paste, but it seems like there are brownie bits inside.. truly morish.

They currently have a promotion (8:30am-10:30am) on weekdays: if you buy 2 pastries for take away or dine in you get a free hot drink. This makes breakfast here great value. In general, it is a little bit pricey and prices are constantly increasing, but the quality is top-notch. They also regularly change their menu, which is nice if you want to try something new. Wish they brought back my favourite: salted caramel croissant.
Nora
Jumeriah branch- used to pass by and get me some salads fresh pastries etc.
But since they removed the salad/sandwiches it's such downer!
Lastly the customer service tad awful I ended up waiting till the staff are done with their group chat among each other. If you ask for assistance or someone to pay attention you get rude response..... that was my last straw with them.
Hamda Kay
Vibes: busy place, you self serve yourself, pick whatever you want and then pay by the cashier.

Food: there are many pastries, my favorite is kiri bun.

Note; every now and then their bring items for limited time such as matcha ice cream, sode ice cream and so sakura stuff
Hamad
I always enjoy coming back to Yamanote, I mostly take out though, the service is great and I pretty much liked everything I tried there. The display is really organized and the theme is very interesting.

My favorite bakes here are the yaki soba bun and the cheese tart for myself. The kids usually like the nutella bun and the custard bun.

They also have really good soft ice cream and Japanese biscuits.
Sydelle D Sa
Their Fluffy and soft Japanese Souffle Cheesecake is to die for! The portion is very small but they are incredibly delicious! I also tried their chiffon cake which was so velvety and soft.
Five for 58 AED
Emmy
Very small place
Food taste is bad to normal and there is not surprising taste
The first time you look at food you think they taste good but they taste like plastic
I asked them to re warm the food many times and they still bring it to me cold ufffft
Amna
Big fan of their Japanese pastries, there is a wide variety of pastries . I always pass by when I'm hungry and in a hurry, their matcha latte is quite bitter though sadly .
Nevine Tabbara
My favorite bakery- I could eat here everyday. The Nutella Kitty, The Panda Lotus, and all of their savory items. I love the concept of serving yourself, making your choices. Everything from the decoration to the service is perfect. If you haven't tried this place you're seriously missing out!

You'll never go wrong with this bakery if you're craving some delish fresh breads or sweet treats. Lovely interior and the smell inside the cafe is just heavenly!!! Try their ice cream too, well try everything in there of you can! worth every penny.

If you're into culinary adventures, venture off to Yamanote Atelier and try delicious Japanese twist on European bread and pastries! We tried the best seller: kitty Nutella which is as sweet and it is adorable. Japanese soft bread is made with milk and butter is super tender, fluffy and light, these make great gifts too..
Wafa
A cozy place for breakfast and all day snack..actually it's a bakery.. with a variety of buns..fillings and some sandwiches..it serves coffee and other drinks ..
No way I pass by without a take away order
Mario Bros.
Totoro.
Hello kitty
the above are buns ..that are so cute to be eaten6
Ali Jehangir
Shocking experience talking to your staff in the morning . Seems like there is no phone courtesy and no one seems to have any information about your other branches . When asked for the supervisor they said he still hasn't arrived at 11 am ....
Zai
I Love almost everything they make/serve because it's always fresh & tasty. I liked the concept of the place and I've been a regular customer since they opened till today.

Yamanote Atelier is a unique bakery using a perfect fusion of Western baking and Japanese ingredients to create something very special. Marketed as ‘The UAE’s First Japanese Bakery’ this was one place I couldn’t wait to try out … So this weekend we did just that!

We visited the store located in the Wasl Square Complex in Dubai and from the minute I was able to get a peek through one of the windows I couldn’t wait to get inside. The beautiful displays of cakes, pastries and sandwiches made choosing just one treat a nightmare… so we had to share! The staff are very friendly and more than happy to help you choose between the delicious pastries.

The store is beautifully decorated and has a unique bakery feel to it. One of the things I liked the most was how all of the bakery items are displayed as you walk in the store rather than behind a counter. You can choose exactly which item you want using the tongs and putting it on your tray before taking it to the counter…This means no awkward pointing on a glass cabinet trying to describe the location of the pastry you feel gives you the best value for money!

They have a great selection of hot and cold beverages, many made with a Japanese twist!

We couldn’t visit the Yamanote Atelier bakery without getting the famous Yamanote Croissant! This is made with a cream cheese filling and custard cream at the bottom. It is their best seller and I can see why … this was one thing I didn’t want to share!

They had a large selection of gift boxes filled with Japanese treats!
The staff were constantly bringing out freshly baked items from the kitchen and stocking up the baskets. I left feeling like I hadn’t even nearly tried enough of what they had to offer.

There is now a second store in the Dubai Mall which I am definitely going to check out!

For a full review with many many photos go over to lauraloutravelsblog.wordpress.com

Laura x

Heard a lot about this place from friends and social media. Wanted to try out their japanese goodies and went on a weekday afternoon.

Their ambience and decòr is really great. The walls are coloured cyan and white, which makes up for a beautiful combination.

As we entered, we could see donuts and other amazing treats. It's a self service kind of joint, wherein you pick what you need and the staff will warm up the eats for you.

We got the nutella filled Pikachu Donut, rose croissant, a Matcha Cappuccino and a chicken panini.

Starting off with the food, the pikachu donut was really good. It tasted well and had a generous amount of nutella stuffed into the center of the donut. The rose Croissant was another masterpiece. Liked the taste of rose as well as the bread. The chicken panini was also rich in flavour and didn't fail to leave an impression. The best thing about the lunch? It had to be the cappuccino.😍 I had never ever tasted matcha along with cappuccino before coming here. It's a must try combination for all coffee lovers❤

Loved all the food here. The bread is so soft and tasty. Just the perfect experience.

This place has to be one of the best bakeries in Dubai! A must visit!
Chef On The Block
Love the venue so cozy & quiet - though can get busy especially on the weekends. You need to serve yourself for the most part, which I don't mind. Kind of like picking out my own..

Their pastries are adorable - would definitely get those as a gift if someone is hosting me over or even when I'm hosting people at home. I like the custard filled pastries.. Staff is generally pleasant.

Follow me on Instagram @ChefOTB for more food adventures

Xx

This Japanese bakery is one of kind really .
Their speciality is the cream puff / roll which actually runs out pretty fast . Other crossaints and buns are quite delicious too .
There is a softie ice cream they serve which is home made and quite delectable

Japanese cuisine may not be known for its confectionaries but once you have looked at options here to satisfy your sweet tooth craving, you will be surprised !

I was gifted this lovely tin box of crepe rolls. These are individually wrapped light crepe rolls in assorted flavours - rose, pistachio and hazelnut. These rolls are very different and have an inner coating of the flavours with the crispy crepe roll on the outside. My personal favourite was the hazelnut.

It is extremely light that one could easily finish a box at one time. I sure am going back here to try other stuff on the menu.

A lovely bakery in Al Wasl Square which serves the best Japanese delicacies. This was my first time to the shop and I regret I didn't come earlier. We were greeted by their friendly staff once we entered the shop. The staff was very helpful and helped me select the pastries and best beverages they had to offer. We ordered their cheesecake, matcha caffe latte, hot chocolate and croissant. For takeaway I bought their fluffy French toast, and 2 other bestseller pastries. Their food is delicious and fresh!even the latte and hot chocolate was really good. The ambience and theme of the shop is really welcoming.

Food & Beverages - 5/5
Service - 5/5
Ambience- 5/5

One of the few places that makes Curry buns in the japanese way. I do opt for the savoury options more than the sweet items. 'Korokke pan', and Japanese burger pan along with the Curry doughnuts are my go to. Freshly baked and consistent with great service.
Abdul Salam
Have been a regular at this place almost a year plus now. Love thr fluffy breads and the fillings it come with. Japanese bread. Hmmmm. A perfect formula for a great bread mix. Nice one. Love it

Lovely bakery, their food is amazing and very high of quality. This is my go-to bakery and I love eating from here. I can't wait till next time.

The best bakery in town... this is the place I drive a long way to get there on some mornings for breakfast and I never regret. Once I went there late evening and I was surprised that you can find the freshnes of baked stuff, all day long

Such a cute little japanese bakery !
The interior decor and tiffany color is ❤️
They have quite unique goodies here I havent seen before.
I had the Yamanote Tropezienne which was very satisfying😊
Matcha cream cheese bun was so soft and delicious !
The third, the Panda Lotus Bun which looks like a panda's face, was alright.
Capuccino was decent.
Faisal
I simply love this place, all their baked items taste and smell fresh. This time i had the rose croissant which was perfect.

However, I think they need to work on their tea offerings such as offering more herbal tea options and perhaps hot royal teas similar to the ones sold in vending machine in Japan!
Fatma Salem
Been there quite a few times love their pastries I wish they open a branch in Mirdif or Festival city my children love their pastries. Also it would be just perfect if they will add Japanese cheese cake to their menu.

Small place located in wasl square. Good coffee and great pastries. Definatly one of the top bakeries in town and a definate must try

Highly recommended

The staff was just amazing and very very friendly, the selection of bread was so good and the bread really taste very very fresh and delicious and the ambiance is so classy and the color hue is just amazing.

My kid's favorite place. They enjoy choosing their pastry and putting it in the tray. For me, my favorite is the kiri bun and the rose croissant.

Their freshly baked slice bread is a must on our Friday's breakfast.
DXB Foodie 71
Very light and adorable pastries, nice interior and good location too (until they put in the bridge for the canal recently, which made it kind of difficult to get to).
Michelle Chai
The buns and pastries remind me of those i find back in Malaysia - i.e. with fillings of custard, red bean, etc. The buns are very light and fluffy. Only comment is I find them a bit sweet - so since they are very very generous with the filling, i usually take half the filling out, therefore, not so sweet. The soya paste bun is not that sweet though - just perfect for my taste. Try the green tea latte as well.
Foodie Gurl
Delicious and freshly baked goodies here.. Makes u wanna try every item displayed..croissant with kiri cheese filling was too good to be true , Japanese fluffy cheese cake is reaaly yummy.. Truly a unique bakery selling finest Japanese pastries👍
Christian Roberts
Has to be one of the finest bakeries in Dubai. The pastry is so light it could float and the flavourings used are to die for.

It does not matter if you have sweet or savoury, but just make sure you try both, they are exquisite
Blue
I liked the place so much.. have a calm vibe and good for meeting with a friend for a chat. Have a cute shaped food and also have a good taste.
Aysha Haider
May I just say this is the best bakery in town? Every single thing we ate was delicious, but here I'm going to write about all those items you simply CANNOT miss! Starting with the cheesecake... perfect portion size and served with fruits and cream, the Yamanote pizza, curry bun, croque monsieur are the best savoury items. The cream roll and chiffon cake just melt in your mouth. Please go and treat yourself!
Natalie Clare (Lei)
I love cute places but I also love matcha and anything in the japanese cuisine. This lovely little bakery which was easily accessible managed to pull it off. From the ambiance to the taste of every pastry, the experience was delightful. They had great savoury and sweet selections. Interesting menu and attentive staff. Calming music and presentable interior. I'd be crazy not to come back!
Samer
Excellent pastries, well prepared drinks and fantastic service. Good quality food. Busy during weekends but worth to try. Will be there again.

Yamanote Atelier is the first of its kind in Dubai producing a variety of European breads, pastries, cakes, croissants, sandwiches and sweet bakery items with a Japanese touch. These are all made from scratch in-house and in order to deliver authenticity with their products, six different types of flour is specifically flown in from Japan regularly.

The restaurant interiors are done up clean and chic - white being the dominant colour with tiffany blue and soft wood accents. As the tradition in Japan goes, a customer fills up his/her tray with different items that are on display, which is then handed over to the staff who'll bring them to your table if you're dining in or pack them in branded boxes for take-away orders.

We arrived at Yamanote Atelier during morning for our breakfast fix. There's so much to choose from over here, both sweet and savoury kinds. That's a problem, you know. This coupled with the fact that we're free to pick whatever we wanted because we had the tongs, and we had our trays. So we basically went on a streak filling our trays with as much as possible. (Don't judge, nah uh!)

Handing our (over-filled) trays to the staff, we sat ourselves at a table and ordered for the Yamanote Matcha Cappuccino and Passion Fruit Shakerato.

Few minutes after, we had on our table all of the delicious goodness we picked up. There was the Yamanote Croissant which is among their best sellers. This one's got Kiri Cream Cheese on the top with custard cream right at the bottom. Because I'm not a huge fan of cheese, I got rid of the Cream Cheese and the croissant was still enjoyable!

The French Toast here is served differently. You have chunks of bread topped with cream cheese mix and honey. And then your choice of syrup - either maple syrup or honey - comes in a small plastic-like syringe inserted into the bread. The French Toast is super and is definitely a must-try.

The Beef Sausage Roll, although simple, was absolutely yum! And so was the Toasted Chicken Panini with broccoli and Japanese mayonnaise. Oh, and the Croque Monsieur, that's white toast with turkey ham, white sauce and cheddar cheese was another ace item on display!

Having just the right amount of sweetness (and also because I have a weakness for custard), you must order this crispy deliciousness that is the Red Fruit Barr that has custard and almond cream, topped with fresh red fruits.

Noting that we over-filled our trays, and it was just the two of us, we aren't done yet. So we picked two breads made to have funny-looking-faces - the Pikachu one that's filled with Nutella, and the Yamanote Tottoroo (this one has a funny name too, checked thrice already to see if I spelled it right!) with home-made light chocolate custard cream inside. You chocoholics can go crazy on the Pickachu one, while those of you not okay with light sweetness can choose the one with the funny name (Tottoroo - nope, still had to double check if I got that right)

The breads are super fresh and soft, you can tell. And the best part is that they take very little to almost no time to bring the food out (see what I did there?). Although, given the less seating space, the restaurant can easily run out of vacant tables.

Those Rose Croissants, we must go back here for some of those!

A fusion of interesting and humble, this small cozy shop serves up a delicious blend of Japanese culture with a french twist. I loved the colors of the baked items, the aroma, and the taste. Been hearing about this place for a while, but having breakfast there was definitely amazing. I had some savory items, which turned out to be great and then some pastry items which were mouth watering all with some lemon ginger tea. The service was very good, the place looked very clean and organized. Would be looking forward to try a few more items next time!

This is the original Yamanote location. The one that started it all. They now have two more location, one on the bottom level of The Dubai Mall and the most recently in the DIFC.

Yamanote is great if you are looking to satisfy a sweet or savoury tooth with quality freshly baked pastries and teats. All of the pastries are beautifully presented and in a relaxed self serve style. Though there are always friendly staff on hand should you need anything.

I recommend:
DRINKS
- Iced caramel macha latte (if you have a sweet tooth)

PASTRIES
- Yamanote Croissant
- Rose Croissant
- Kitty Nutella
- Chocolate Totoro

They also make a beautiful sponge cake (which can also be bought by the slice - I highly recommend this as well as the Japanese cheese cake).

To see my full review head over to themissw.com > categories > restaurants > Yamanote

Went here for breakfast on the weekend, after looking at all their amazing baked creations, and boy was I impressed. Got the Croquette Bun, Red Fruit Barr, Character Totoro and a Matcha Cappuccino. All the bread was so soft and fluffy, some of the best bread I've ever had, hands down. The items looked amazing and tasted just as well if not even better. The custard fillings were lightly sweetened and not overpowering like some other custards, and literally perfect. The serving size of the coffee was a little on the small side, but still excellent in terms of quality. The décor of the restaurant is top notch as well, with light colours, lots of open space and lighting. The food is also very well presented, and extremely inviting. The staff are very friendly too, and helped pick out the food, while making suitable suggestions. Overall ambience was great, food was great, and so was the experience as a whole. Definitely would recommend this to anybody looking for some good breakfast, something sweet, some snacks or anybody who likes to eat good food in general.

Follow me on Instagram @tree.eats

The buns and pasterries don't just look very appetising but are absolutely delectable too. My favourite is the curry bun and cream cheese croissant. Great place for small eats and cup of coffee.

What a brilliant, bright cafe to have on our doorstep. Perfect for a light bite, coffee/tea and cake.

Their Japanese inspired pastries consisting of matcha and red bean filled varieties are innovative treats. Definitely try the matcha croissant, chocolate and orange cube, chocolate filled Totoro and chiffon cake (softest cake known to man!). Their bread is also pretty good and very fresh, albeit Yamanote takes thick-sliced to another level, which makes toasting the stuff a bit difficult.

Inside it's typically Japanese and minimalist, which means thin plywood style chairs, and therefore not the sort of place you can sink into a good book for hours.

Curious after reading the review of my friend about this cafe . I went with a friend to this Atelier since we were in the area. I see it all the time when I pass by Jumeirah road, now I can say I discovered another lovely place to sit and just enjoy my pot of tea, chat with a friend or just read a book.

The staff are friendly specially Mycka.
Quick and smart!
It looks like a quiet place but people do come and go, I find it silently busy.

The pastel colors inside and the the smell of freshly baked breads calm your busy nerves.

Such a great place in Jumeirah to just chill. Really plus to shop with your eyes with their interesting stuff inside. :-)

We just had a pot of Moroccan Mint Tea since we've been so full from a dinner treat. We had this squared chocolate biscuits which matched our refreshing tea.

A great JAPANice TRY!

Best. Japanese. Pastry.

this place is a must to those who crave cute and yummy pasties, don't miss the sweet selection of fresh pasties, all-time favorites includes delicious Nutella filled kitties, Kraft Cheese Danish, Orange Filled Cubes and Yakisoba Sandwiches (some of the names are made up by me, they're not actually called Nutella Filled Kitties or Orange Filled Cubes, just the best way to name them as how i see them. LOL)

Get over there and get pumping with their very good variety of Coffees and Teas as well.

Cheers!

Just stopped by to say I left Dubai almost a year ago and this place is one of the things I miss the most. My husband and I used to grab breakfast at Yamanote almost every Friday - everything is just so yummy (and really cute too!) Awesome fusion of traditional Japanese flavors and French puff pastry. I personally like the curry doughnut, croquette bun and hamburger on the savory side but please do not walk away without trying their Yamanote croissant with Kiri cheese. It is a crowd pleaser! Their cappuccino is one of the best in town too. Oh how I wish they'd open a branch in NYC...

Stopped in for a quick coffee and catch up with an associate. Place is bright, cute & friendly. It was strangely busy at 5pm on a weekday. One would assume that most people would be gearing up for dinner, yet it seems everyone else had the idea of a later afternoon snack. I had a wonderful green tea latte. I will surely be back for some of their lovely looking pastries!

Great bakery particularly for occassions when you have to take something as a present for visiting a friend/relative. Whatever i have tried with them has always turned out to be great.

I love Japanese food and so are their pastries! When I visited Yamanote, I fell in love instantly! Well, the theme color of their store is my favorite color so that was a plus factor for me. The store will welcome you with a lovely smell of freshly baked bread and the brewing coffee smell will also wake your senses. I mind you, it will be very difficult to choose from all the stunning goodies they have on each basket. It took me around 30 minutes to fill my tray and I've got half a dozen of different types. The Yamanote Croissant was indeed the best tasting Japanese bread I tried in Dubai so far, the custard cream and cream cheese filling was purely satisfying. I should have filled my box half a dozen of these alone. They are so so good! The kitty nutella and milky bread were a little sweet but soft and tasty. The red bean bun was fluffy but the filling wasn't that good. And the raspberry ricotta brioche was a right balance of sweet and sour taste. I can't wait to go back for that croissant and to try their softy ice cream.
Kiri bun, rose croissant, ice teas and soft cone ice cream are all must haves. Dubai needs more Japanese bakeries.. I'm really glad they are starting to expand in Dubai.

Freshly baked delicious Japanese pastries , this is the first time I've tried their bakery goods and I absolutely loved it... I ordered the Kiri custard which is one of the best sellers as well as the cute Hello kitty bun filled with Nutella.

And their staff were helpful and friendly.

A legendary bakery that serves a lot of cute Japanese pastries and cakes. We tried their croissants and Japanese cheesecake, both are great.
