One of the best Asian cuisines found in Dubai, that too at Dubai Mall. An ideal place to dine for shoppers.
Affordable, Good ambiance, Brilliant food and friendly service.
True to its name - Variety is the Spice of life, and the various items on the menu never disappoints.
Must visit if you love relishing on Authentic Asian cuisine, this one place should be on your list.
Finding the place tucked into the side of Fashionpark was a bit tough, however once you enter the place you enjoy th ambience and warm hospitality of the staff
Food was extremely delicious and the prices were reasonable
The food is great quality, especially the biriyani which is the best..other kerala food items was tasty and fresh.
I love it as a staff in Dubai mall it is great blessing for me to get homely food with Good quality. The staffs are doo good and ready to delight customer's.
In Dubai Mall, Spice Bowl is the only restaurant where you get tasty South Indian meal. And the staff here are really awesome especially Rajan John.

Thalassery chicken dumm biriyani super👌👌tasty food affordable price👍👍
This is a gem. Even though it is located with in the mall, it is kind of tricky to find the way to it from Dubai Mall. Once you are there it is really comfortable. The service is excellent and the food is exquisite. In the photos North Indian, South Indian as well as south East Asian food are seen. They are very good at all these cuisines. Prices are moderate too.
A very authentic kerala cuisine which serves traditional south Indian dishes with a touch of malabar.the way the staff treats their guests is really appreciable. Very good taste and quality food.amazing service and affordable prices. Liked their ambiance. I loved tikka biriyani and desserts waaaah....... mouth watering...especially

Hear a lot abt this restaurant head on to Spice Bowl (which is located in the Fashion Parking level P1) and relish those great food, only restaurant in Dubai mall serving a proper South Indian cuisine ( specially Kerala n malabar food) even though they hv option form North Indian to pan Asian cuisine 😍.
So we started with
*Drink
Iced lemon tea- best way to start in summer, refreshing n great flavor .
*Starter
Than moving on with TNT Prawn 🍤 it was like Dynamite shrimp tossed in sriracha sauce perfectly crispy from outside n each piece of prawn burst into the mouth 👄
*Main
We ordered both the pan Asian cuisine
Nasi goreng -
Popular Indonesia fried rice with seafood sm veggies with a chicken satay, it was really great in flavor 👍
Than we hd ▶️
Red Thai curry with rice -
Portion wise a gud one but when cm to it doesn’t impressed us so much curry ws dominated by kafir lime 👎🏻
N nw the most beautiful part of meal
*Dessert 😋😍
Asian louts
It was sooooo gud, thick layered of louts cake topped with baklava ice cream 🍨 n again topped with sm crumbles of louts 😋.

We were craving for Indian food - and we decided to look it up on the internet, then we found this
place!
since it’s not located inside of the mall, it was quite hard to find the place.
The angel may be on my side on that day, they also serve indonesian food!!!! 😁😁😁
The owner was very friendly! he always made sure that we have the best hospitality
The ONLY proper Indian restaurant in Dubai Mall 🍛
A true hidden gem 💎 😁

Positive : everything that we ordered was amazing , neatly plated. Both vegetarian and Non veg. It was filling both Quantity and Quality wise.
Negative : I would not say as negative but the tough part is trying to find the restaurant, if the employee from the hotel did not guide us by being patiently on the phone for almost 15 mins we would have dropped the plan of eating at the restaurant. but worth the time spent in searching them . I wish if they were on a better place where people can spot them they would give tough competition for some big names.
One and only Indian restaurant with live kitchen in Dubai mall. The interior is so nice and spacious. Must Try their starters , curry items and desserts. They have a good fusion foods which us really yummy. Must Try their Fish tikka , chicken tikka , sb special biriyani and desserts. My favourite is their dessert items. Thumbs up and must try place when you are in Dubai.. 🖒🖒🖒
This place I can simply say a true hidden gym located in Dubai Mall Parkings yeah you read it right Parkings , the moment I sow the place I had doubts about the reviews I have read but as they say don’t judge a book by its cover .
The moment I entered I was welcomed by their kind staff and was seated just seconds after the waitress came and suggested me what to order and asked me how I like it spicy , mild or not spicy, that what I really look in every restaurant I go which is taking care even for the smallest details cuz it matter.
The ambiance I can say it takes you back to Indian , it’s a cosy small restaurant simply decorated with lots of happy costumers and super friendly staff . Also , I liked the fact the restaurant is open you can watch them from your seating working really hard to deliver your food better than you expect and the soon they finish so having a cold meal won’t be an issue here .
I really enjoyed my experience and I would definitely bring my friends and family here to make them try what I call a must have dining experience and I would highly recommend it .

Set in probably the strangest location in all of Dubai Mall (and the UAE), when you manage to find Spice Bowl, you are in for a treat!
Food:
TNT Shrimp: We love dynamite shrimp, and this dish did not disappoint. We would have liked a bit more sauce though, nonetheless, it’s a good start to a meal.
Jhinga Kadhai: These tiger prawns are cooked in a kadhai gravy were delicious. Spicy and delicious, it goes well with a nice buttery naan.
Tikka Biryani: This is presented in a Portuguese espateda style chicken skewer over a bed of biryani rice. It was very tasty and the chicken pieces were cooked well. We liked the fusion of cuisines with the cooking methods.
Malaysian Laksa: We surprisingly really enjoyed this dish. The laksa had a great curry coconut milk soup with egg and rice noodles and chicken and prawns. The soup had a nice lemongrass flavour emanating through.
Drink:
Electric Green: A drink consisting of blended green mangoes, a good option.
Orange Fire: An interesting mix of orange juice and chili. There isn’t any spiciness to the drink but it is tasty and refreshing nonetheless.
Desserts:
Asia Lotus: This dessert was delicious! We definitely recommend it. The addition of the crushed nuts topping the lotus covered vanilla ice cream scoop, it was a great addition of texture.
Spice bowl is located in probably one of the strangest places, inside the parking lot of The Dubai Mall. Yes, you read that right. Head to the Fashion Parking, from the side of Costa on the Ground level. Then head to P1 level in the parking and head out of the sliding doors, then immediately turn right. You will then see an overhead sign for Spice Bowl pointing right. Once you turn right, the entrance to Spice Bowl should be straight ahead.
Amazing place to eat Indian food with lovely hospitality and great Servece,
And big thanks to Mr Sreejith for the great hospitality and servece.
Food was brilliant , must definitely suggest the teriyaki chicken starter and their lotus ice cream dessert , Sreejit the restaurant manager was brilliant and welcoming, the ambience was a delight
Amazing food...👍. I had ordered paneer butter masala with kerala porotta and it was yummy.quantity was generous also.we ordered pink lemonade and electric green mocktails. Pink one is little sour for my taste but green one was amazingly good. We will sure come again.only one negative point is the location.
Spice bowl is a hidden gem located in the fashion parking of dubai mall.
Though the restaurant is not very spacious and cannot accompany huge groups of people the food served there is excellent
They have excellent chicken tikka biryani . The chicken tikka is juicy and full of flavour and served on a skewer with the rice below . Also their mutton curry and nan is great and full of flavour. They also have seperate kebabs ,some delicious drinks and desserts .
The staff were friendly and helped us with our choices
Spice bowl is a must try if you are visiting dubai mall or even good for small getogethers 👌🏼👌🏼😊
The food is gr8... served fresh.... very hygienic place to dine.... food served is of highest quality and taste....decided to be a regular customer... the best Asian fusion restaurant I have ever been to......All the best to the Spice bowl team 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Unexpected but pleasantly surprised by this new joint. Was expecting way more than what it is. But trust me when I say I was surprised. By the food quality, the service and the amazing crisp cutlery
Though veg options are less but the aloo tikki starter n veg briyani ll bring water to ur mouth.
And yes.. easy on ur pockets too. 👍

Spice Bowl is in fact a hidden gem. Like literally. You won't find the restaurant inside the mall and that is one of its positives. It's located in the fashion parking and its very convenient since the hustle and bustle of the mall doesn't affect it. You'd be surprised to hear that SpiceBowl is the only authentic Indian restaurant in the mall but it doesn't end there. They do have other cuisines notably Chinese, Thai and Filipino. I tried the Teriyaki Chicken Wings and that was the best starter you could ask for. It's not exactly spicy but it's sweet and crispy. Then came the Mutton Ishtew which is quite a favourite from the Mallu Cuisine and I loved it. Well cooked mutton, the meat was so tender it came off the bones without you trying. It's perfect for any type of bread imo. The Lamb Chops were also a highlight of my meal. Overall, I felt like the chef meant business when it came to cooking the toughest of meats and that says all I need to know about the place. Do not miss out on this restaurant the next time you're at Dubai Mall.
True happiness is found hiding in the parking lots of Dubai Mall. Spicebowl was able to leave me satisfied untill the tip of my tongue with the most delicious and pocket friendly dishes in Dubai Mall.
From freshly squeezed orange juice made from real good oranges to the tender juicy lamb chops (the best lamb chops in the whole of middle east), spice bowl is able to serve a variety of cuisines.
The teriyaki wings and the tnt prawns would want you craving for a night filled with starters. The management has promised us to introduce more fascinating flavors of wings to make every wing lovers dream come true.
The lotus dessert served towards the end had a unique Turkish touch. A taste it to feel it experience.
Find spicebowl at the fashion parking, level 1.
This was my second visit. Review from first visit:
Nice ambience, well presented, friendly staff. Loved the food and the overall experience.
Second visit:
I was greeted by a smiling yet very confused server, who had no idea about idiyappam and called his manager. I opted for a staff meal ( i had come with family) and the first thing he informed me is that they can’t serve staff meal to others. Order had to be repeated 3 times for him to concentrate and take it.
Plates were not placed while the food was served and he had to be reminded. (He was very lost)
I asked for a second piece of chicken in my (unlimited meal),and to my utter embarrassment in front of my family he says, “ i dont know if i can give you, have to ask my manager”. Really?
Service needs definite improvement, too early to get complacent.
After a tiring day at the Dubai mall,we were literally hunting down for a place where they serve karak tea.. We are more of a karak tea lover than a coffee person 😝
So we basically wanted a karak tea after a heavy lunch and non stop shopping at the mall.. And and we finally found a hidden place at the mall..They serve one of the best masala tea(we really mean it) and of course why not a banana fry along with it? This combination had to be so nostalgic!!
Super delicious chicken biryani with the beetroot pickles , ending the meal with desserts made our experience Wow . the team friendly & the manger so polite . It’s not our first time so will coming back
Spicebowl ! Inside the parking of Dubai Mall, this little place with some good Indian and Asian flavours. We ordered chicken Tikka, handi chicken, dal tadka, butter naan, kadak chai, and ice lollies. We were really hungry and we're satisfied as their service was pretty fast and food was good. They even gave us a free dessert (chocolate browny) for national day celebration.
Located in faishon parking with my friend recommended decided to try order for mutton biryani and ice tea mutton biryani was tasted good ice tea was amazing. Nice ambiance friendly staff. Definitely recomded
Delicious food , warm hospitality ,well maintained ambience and a friendly manager .
Bit confusing to find the location for new customers. Thalassery mutton biriyani is a must try .
Desserts were also delicious and well presented ✌🏻
Hidden Dubai mall gem indeed! I wasn’t hungry enough when I came here so just ordered starters - parotas stuffed with keema, aloo tiki char, sb chicken tikka and kapi all tasted super! Not oily, very flavorful, clean and well priced for downtown. Definitely coming back to try their mains :)
One of the best Indian food I had experienced so far. The ambiance is too good particularly you will never feel that you are in the busiest mall of the town. Price, quality and services are also remarkable.
Absolutely loved everything about this place. A hidden gem in the parking of Dubai mall, it serves very delicious food and good prices in a very clean and friendly ambiance. What else could you ask for? The green Thai curry was so memorable. The paratha is out of this world. Excited to visit again soon.
Went here for dinner yesterday. The restaurant is not inside the mall, but in P1 parking level of Fashion Avenue. Called up the restaurant and was guided well to the location. There was only one other table occupied at 9.30pm. We ordered hot and sour soup, sweet corn soup and cream of mushroom soup. Also tried their salt and pepper mushroom, puttu and kadala curry, beef thenga ullarthu and idiyappam. Everything tasted good. The salt and pepper mushroom was not oily at all and tasted great. Portion was also large. Would highly recommend this dish. Service was also top notch. Overall a very good experience. Would definitely be visiting again to try more dishes. Was disappointed this time as Laksa was not available. When in Dubai Mall please take an effort to visit this restaurant. You will not be disappointed.
Is is hard to find Veg food if you dont want to eat in an Indian restaurant and Spice Bowl being an Indian restaurant serves good Indian and even better, good veg food. It is a Keralite restaurant but is mostly crowded by the local Emiratis.
It is not located in the inside of the Dubai Mall but in the parking area of the Mall. The food is good but the service is even better.
The interiors of this restaurant is done by my company. With wife I've been here for lunch. To locate the area is bit difficult since its it the very corner of Dubai mall basement parking. Ordered for naadan meals and prawns perattu. Rice was over cooked. And side dishes was not that great. The payasam along with it was awesome. But the Prawns served two of us. And it was tooo good.
Ambience: super cool
Food menu: cool
Parking: Dubai mall parking available
To Access the restaurant: Difficult
Taste bud : cool.
Customer service: fine.
"Perfect Indian Dine-in for family's and Groups"
Date: 20 Oct 2017
Time: 1000 PM
Reachability: Placed in a non-crowded area, signs are available throughout the lift lobby of P1 Fashion Parking in Dubai Mall. However if you're new to DM you will find it bit difficult to reach the right lift for fashion parking
Ambience: Perfect ambience for a dine out, interiors are well done for a family dine out
Menu: Not too many items on the menu, it is simple and easy to chose; People who like fancy, attractive menus, this one might disappoint you. For me, it was more than enough.
Hygiene: Amazing, well maintained. You can see the cooking range and team through the transparent glass and that will definitely boost your confidence on food hygiene.
Service: Nice, family friendly team. Always approach you with a smile. Always approaching for your feedback. My kids were so fussy and they were trying to entertain them so that we can eat peacefully. Only one turn off was, they don't serve hot water; however they managed to heat and serve the mineral water we bought.
Food:
Quantity: Main course one serve can easily shared by two people
Quality: One word: Yummy! ordered wheat porotta, chicken tava fry and beef roast. Well cooked in a blend of right masala, porotta was hot, krispy and easily separatable layers.
Pricing: For a mall outlet and the ambience offered, it is cheap
Positive:
- Service
- Ambience
- Food
- Price
- Peaceful
Negative:
- Location (not too bad but still a hassle for some people)
First time to visit and I’m glad i did. At first its difficult to find but It’s only inside Dubai Mall, P1, go down to LG Fashion Avenue side. I ordered Bulalo and Chicken BBQ, it was delicious. The smell of the food in the other table is also amazing! Definitely i will go back and try their other menus. price: 4.8/5; taste: 4.8/5; service: 5/5; venue: 4/5; Recommended! Overall: satisfied tummy!
So glad to see a malayalee restaurant in DXB mall and especially delicious Kerala style food. I noted this restaurant from the beginning when our EMAAR software is installed on your POS machine ;) ;p
Justin (EMAAR IT)
Awesome food and great ambiance. Location is in dubai mall fashion parking, it is a best place for people to have a Asian food in dubai mall.
The news of opening a SouthIndian restaurant in Dubai mall was really exciting and I tried this one out. Reaching there could be a bit tricky and lengthy if you are not properly guided (Located on Fashion Parking level P1).
The ambience is excellent, spacious and peaceful. The staff are friendly and caring to your orders.
The food presentation is also beautiful. The use of claypots for serving the dishes was a nice one and nostalgic too.
I went there for an evening snack, so couldn't try the main course dishes. Ordered coffee and banana fry which was tasty, fresh and of course, well presented. It offers an early breakfast items which is really good. Menu offers many south Indian dishes but are bit on the pricier side (its Dubai Mall!!!!. So its understood :))
Hope to try this bowl of dishes extensively in the near future.
The Asian Lotus @spice.bowl, at Dxb Mall - a perfect combo of Baklava and Lotus toffee😍

The ambience is calm and peaceful as they are located in fashion parking. Someone suggested me to try their biryani. Was kinda okay but there are many other restaurants serving better biryani. The drink, pink lemonade was presented nicely and it had a refreshing taste. They should improve the food taste (doesn't mean it is bad) and then they might be able to bring in more customers. Another point is that I found it difficult to locate this restaurant as they are isolated in one corner of the fashion parking lot. Still, they can overcome all these hurdles provided they strive to.
Was surprised to see the restaurant in P1 parking area Of Dubai Mall.
Had been there thinking we would get Chinese food as it's a Indian Asian joint. Then we came to know they actually don't serve Chinese except fried rice. Restaurant manager was so kind that he specially asked his chefs to make Chinese for us and it actually turned out to be great in taste.
Also we had Aloo Chaat and sweet corn soup which was nice.
Nice ambience and friendly staff.. we had authentic thalassery biriyani and was very content with the taste and quantity.
We had issue with finding the place..is at one end of Dubai Mall and if you manage to get parking at Fashion Parking you are lucky enough...we had to walked through Dubai Mall one end to other to reach and was exhausted!! But the food covered it all👍🏻
Been there yesterday and finding the location was a task , we took almost an hr after reaching Dubai mall to find this place .
It's always better to park in the normal place you park in dubai mall like cinema parking etc and then find this place by walk or if you are already in fashion parking you can park your car in P4 and then go to P1 by lift . There is no parking available in front the restaurant.
We ordered for one thalassery mutton biryani , chicken tikka biryani and Dragon chicken. Food and presentation was good . Service waa fast .Ambience is nice .
Overall worth a visit and really worth for the money !!
Awesome food experience at Dubai Mall, delicious Kerala cusines and Filipino desserts....must try Asian Lotus.
Egg paratha, puttu, Kerala tea, king fish fry.
AND ABOVE ALL - QUALITY FOOD AT A EASY ON POCKET PRICES.
MUST TRY THEIR MEALS TOTALLY WORTH IT.
ABSOLUTELY NO TASTE ENHANCERS HORMONE FREE RANGE CHICKEN USED.
SERVICE - 5 DEFINITELY WILGO FOR LUNCH AGAIN
Loved their tikka biryani which was served in a very unique and never seen anywhere else manner.Do try out the mutton pepper roast as well.delicious!
The chai took me back to my kerala thattukada memories which i cherish a lot and gave me a lot of nostalgia.Just wish they keep up with their quality of food and not fizz away with time as seen with a lot of other malabari restaurants.
The staff was very friendly and took care of each and every customer while we were there.Kudos for that too.Loved it as a whole and will be visiting the place next time we are in Dubai mall
Went there with a group of friends for lunch on a weekday afternoon. Quite a nice place with friendly and helpful staff and some really great food :D
Do try their SB express lunch and Chicken tikka biryani.
Firstly it was a exciting feeling to finally reach the much debated Spice Bowl Restaurant in Dubai mall, as i entered during lunch hours the place had the catchy biriyani aroma filled in the air as everyone was having them and me being a biriyani lover waited no longer and got myself one. In the meanwhile the staff suggested to have the starters which was crazy good.
What i cannot miss and must recommend everyone to try is their ASIAN LOTUS which is a dessert, this is a must try. Will be definitely recommend.

If you strolling through Dubai Mall and craving for Malabari/Kerala cuisine , Don’t think further.. head on to Spice Bowl (which is located in the Fashion Parking level P1) and relish those great array of dishes they have. Celebrity Chef Anil have created some fabulous dishes with no much drama but will certainly excite your taste buds.
Delicious food!
Tandoor and other stuffed parathas are perfect. Thalassery dum biriyani was super yummy. Really amazed by their menu and all in the list are available even late night. Staffs are so kind and well serving.
Its worthy for the price we are paying for.
Definitely a hidden gem in Dubai Mall. I had the non-veg fish thali which was simply delicious & value for miney. Will surely go there again. Spice bowl is located in the P1 of fashion parking - it is located in the parking lot outside the mall.
Been there twice..first time it took a little time finding it. But both times the food and beverages were bang on spot!
Many dishes to choose from and the menu is self explanatory from the starters to the few desserts and simple yet satisfying drinks.
Mutton cutlets, TNT Prawns and the aloo tikki are our favs in the starters, the dum mutton biryani, Mutton Stew, Kozhi Porichathu (fried chicken) and the Chicken Tikkas from the mains with a chilled pink lemonade to wash it all down..very good!
Karak chai is frothy good..could be more in qty perhaps?
What can I say the place is quite comfy and good is real value for money...Will try the Chinese & Thai stuff next time..good service
as well!
Definitely recommended for all the hungry people looking for a place away from the usual mall eateries.
Celebrated my friends birthday last night. Restaurant manager Sreejith was courteous. The staffs very friendly. Coming to the food we ordered kerala beef curry, grill platter, teriyaki chicken wings, mushroom salt and pepper, aloo tikki, TNT prawns, kadai chicken, chicken tikka masala. Sreejith recommended tikka biriyani. the presentation of the biriyani was good. At last complimentary juice jollies for the kids.
Overall the food was good and tasty.
Pocket friendly restaurant.
To start with very good ambience... Friendly staff and very good manager ... Who was very courteous.... Food I tried was just made to perfection.... Butter chicken ... As you will like it reminds of the Bombay style butter chicken... Special fruit lolly ... Would like to go again and try some more dishes....Went again after a week tried their mango firni .... Presentation was beautiful and the taste was good..
Its bit difficult to locate the restaurant because its literally in basement parking.. but still its worth searching for it..
its a small restaurant with decent seating arrangement.
decided to take buffet because being a Pakistani wanted to taste all their Indian dishes not just 1 or 2.
totally loved their limited buffet.
specially chicken curry which was very good.
Apart from that,
Desert can be more better 7/10
Fresh Milk karak tea was not my type at all. Maybe because am not used to their type of tea. 5/10
I suggest they must serve glasses on table as well, but they just end up giving you a 500ml water bottle.
If you are looking for a decent and delicious menu
Then its worth visiting this little restaurant.
Went for ramdan buffet. @AED 35 Well worth it. difficult to find the place though as its in the parking area and not connected from inside the mall.
Staff was very good and courteous
Food had good variety was tasty and hot..unlike other ramadan buffets where the food is either not stocked properly or is cold.
Desserts were quite good too
I was here today to have their iftar buffet with 6 people and i should say that it was great experience. The food was of super quality and tasty. Biriyani was very tasty and different experience. Service was very good. 35 aed iftar buffet was too worth to have.
Dinner yesterday at this hidden gem, left me so full and satisfied that I could not even have Suhoor. As is the case with most people who are fasting, you usually end up ordering more than you can eat and I just wanted to try everything on their menu because I was starving after spending literally 20 minutes looking for their location. Points off SOLELY for that. We had made a reservation the day before and the staff called us 5 minutes before our time to re-confirm but we still ended up reaching late because the place is tucked away LITERALLY in the parking. For those who wish to visit, head to Level 1 of the Fashion Parking by the lift and then exit the mall and go to the parking area, that is where you will see this little restaurant tucked away.
The place was pretty packed (this was right after Iftar time) but the rush lessened later. Also, thankfully we were seated away from the buffet table. They have cool interiors by the way. Not what you would expect from their Indo-Chinese menu. You have an option of having the Iftar buffet (AED 35 - a price that you would be hard pressed to find elsewhere) but I was not in the mood to have chicken biryani and stuff, so we opted to order from the a la carte menu.
For starters we had:
1. Punjabi Samosa: 3 hot delicious samosas with 2 great dips - one spicy one sweet. Only teeny nagging thought, can the samosas please be a little bigger? 'Cuz they're so yummyyy!!
2. Teriyaki Chicken Wings: GREAT sauce and good portion size! Hope they add a boneless version to the menu too, soon, so I can enjoy these even more!
3. Chicken Kathi Roll: A massive hit!!
We ordered these drinks:
1. Mint Lemonade: Had it till the last drop. Hugeeeee size!! Likey!
2. Sweet Lassi: Couldn't try it because I had the lemonade.. but the friend who ordered it found it refreshing (apt for Iftar)
For the mains we ordered:
1. Sichuan Chilli Chicken: When it came it looked less, but turned out to be more than sufficient. The size of the chicken chunks was perfect and the chilli factor was great too.
2. Hakka Noodles - Chicken: Well cooked
3. Chicken Fried Rice: Had a little fishy aftertaste but paired with the gravy it tasted great!
4. Garlic and Butter Naan: Big portion. They both were good, however I prefer a more garlic-y taste.
For dessert, we had:
1. The Asian Lotus: THE ABSOLUTE WINNER!! At first it looked small but when I took my first mouthful it left me blown away. The flavours are AMAZING and I even asked our kind server for the recipe. MUST, MUST TRY!!!
10/10 for the service. Despite it being the peak time, the server was ever-present, and rushed to fill our order. The host also dropped by to ask if we were enjoying the meal (definitely were). Very impressed with the management and I am sure if they can be so effortlessly efficient at such a rushed hour, they do a splendid job on normal days. Will visit again for sure!!
Good food , reasonably priced and good service. Tried egg burji with pav, travancore chicken fry and butter chicken which was tasty.,Limited menu which they are planning to extend and include more varieties soon..
Finding this hidden gem is the nightmare. But well worth the search. A tip- if you are lost in Dubai mall, take the parking side escalator down from costa coffee and ask the security for guidance to the place.
We were a cacophany gang of a dozen ladies and they put up with every single question of ours which is a neat feat by itself.
Starters
Chicken Teriyaki wings- 5/5 -A must try, crunchy and not smothered with too much sauce
Pav Burjee - 5/5 Another must try
Aloo tikki chaat - 3/5Average, skippable
Main Course
Thalasseri Mutton Biryani- 4/5 Its not on the menu, But is definitely worth asking for. Soft and succulent pieces of mutton with the homemade masala and the small grained rice that makes this tick
Schezwan noodles - 4.5/5 We tried both veg and chicken. Both were spot on. Only hakka was on the menu, but the chef was kind enough to pander to our fancies
Thai Red chicken curry- 4/5This was the perfect side for both the noodles and nasi goreng
Nasi goreng- 4/5 Its not the authentic version but good attempt that anyone with an Indian palette will enjoy
Desserts
Asian lotus - 4.5/5 They recommended this, and definitely the best of the lot
Mango Phirni- 2.5/5 Not upto the mark
Falooda - 3/5 - Filling but average
Service staff and food 5*****
But your location is not correct. Location 1* only. Such a good food and staff you should open in prime location...
Had gone to Lunch at this place after listening to ad on Radio all day
Location is little hard to find
Same with Parking as Fashion Parking is always Full
The have revised the Menu from before which had only few items

I came to know about this place , through their marketing campaign and also heard chef Anil kumar's invitation ( a famous South Indian celebrity chef in dubai ) . Since then I did book mark this place to try , being a keralite it's a proud moment for a Kerala restaurant to open up in dubai mall , also saw a video in YouTube mentioning its a thalessery special restaurant so with great expectations checked zomato to check menu , the menu wasn't there.
We had few guest from Kerala , some were aged and after walking in dubai mall, I suggested spice bowl would be the better option to check out else for Kerala food we would have to travel all way back to karama .
The restaurant is located in P1 level of fashion parking , it's inside the parking lot . Parking at fashion parking is difficult as come construction is going on , hence wither grand parking or cinema parking would be the better options .
A decent Kerala restaurant , menu was mixed with Asian and Indian dishes and menu didn't have any wide variety of Kerala dishes , like for breads no appam or puttu etc . Also menu didn't have any Kerala sty dishes in beef or mutton .
We ordered travancore chicken fry and porotta for kids , chicken fry for plate is just small 4 pieces of chicken .
Nasir goreng was also very average , the schezwan chicken was like another version of chilly chicken gravy it was better among all dishes we ordered .
The butter chicken we orders was also not upto the mark , fish curry was okay . The quantity of gravy is less . Biriyani was also just okay . Hakka noodles was good
We were a big group of people and very one felt the same , food was very average .
Kids ordered hot chocolate Milo and it came in a normal chai glass , very less quantity and not appealing for kids too , a small glass of milo costed 13 dhs ..... which I felt isn't fair at all ....
Being a new restaurant in town , they will be having their initial start up issues , but definitely taste is a main factor .
They have a very good promising location and I am sure it can be one the best hidden gem in dubai mall serving authentic Kerala food . Tourists will flock in if they have really good food .
I suggest they look into their menu in adding in some more dishes.
Refreshing to see such an affordable restaurant in Dubai Mall that doesn't consist of only food court fast food.
Spice bowl serves flavorful Asian cuisine including Chinese fried rice, chilli chicken, chicken biryani, a variety of kebabs, dim sums, chicken adobo for incredible prices.
My favorites were the chilly chicken, chicken kebabs and dim sums. I have yet to visit again and try a lot of the other interesting items on the menu but I would definitely recommend Spice Bowl if you're looking for value for money!
Spice bowl restaurant is a hidden gem, located in the fashion parking area of Dubai mall.
This asian cuisine restaurant serving much varieties of food is definitely a must go place..
Tried chicken biriyani, veg biriyani, masala tea, dragon chicken, chicken adobo, and many more..actually we went there a couple of times with friends to try new items..Very much impressed with the quality and taste of food.
The restaurant interiors are all very well done and the staff are very friendly and polite.. cleanliness is also well taken care of..A good place to spend time with friends or family..
I would definitely recommend any Asian food lover to try this restaurant at least once..Spice bowl is something different you will expect in Dubai mall.
Visited Spice Bowl one the very first day they opened, and I'm glad I did. Although they had not launched the full menu yet, but the ambiance, service and the limited dishes were all equally impressive. The food is fresh, and resembles homemade food, which is great as you rarely find this kind of food served at restaurants. The fried rice and chilly chicken is a must have!
