The place is very nostalgic. The theme is so . <br/>We ordered tea and snacks . It was the tandoori chai . Loved the way it was poured in to mud pot. And the ambience is wow for those loving the 90s. The song played adds to it . It’s a nice place for snacking .

my friend and myself had beef roast n kallapam, thalassery mutton curry & velutha pathiri on 15th march .<br/>They charge around 25dhs for each curry and quantity is very less.<br/>Beef tasted less than ordinary<br/>Surprisingly the taste was also like quantity.. <br/>nothing great about the food.

Visited this restaurant yesterday for my lunch. There was a buffet setted there with lot of items. But I choose pothichor. It gives me a nostalgic feeling and it tastes delicious. And the staffs are very well caring and friendly. Will visit next time for dinner

I have been there more than 4-5 times, their Bamboo Biryani, kalappam/Dosa and prawns mango curry and sulaimani/masala chai are good, but other dishes usually turned out to be disastrous. The last time i was there, I was made to wait for 30 minutes (I was single) and then they told me It will take one more hour. I was prepared to wait, but 5 minutes later they tell me that they will run out of food (as they did not want to waste a table on a loner)... Wish they had told me earlier instead of making me wait 30 minutes to usher me out. This incident coupled with bland steamed chicken in gravies made this place a no-no for me. Haven't gone back since.

Long story short; never judge a book by its cover. And this book was a terrible read. Loved the interiors but not the food. Ordered a chicken porichadh (some kozhikodan name) but what we got was a basic chicken kebab, the type you make for chicken 65. The starter itself set the mood low for the food which led to us ordering just one more dish. Kizhi porotta (chicken) in thengapal.<br/><br/>A very average chicken curry poured over 2 porotta. <br/>The service was poor. The food below average. Wish they invested a quarter of the money they spent on the decoration in training their chefs or enhancing the food.<br/><br/>Also see a lot of fake reviews foe this place to bring it up. Honestly, no matter the gimmick, if you serve good food there will always be people to love it. Cheers.

There was a time they had really good flavours in their food. It has become just lots of oil now. We ordered home delivery expecting our favourite dishes and was sourly disappointed. Nadan chicken curry had too much oil. Garlic porotta had burnt garlic at the top which didn't taste good.

Was here for some quick snacks and tea. Unfortunately, most of the snacks got over. We got to try just a few, and they tasted pretty good. Tried their chicken samosa, sweet chatti pathiri and kai pola. All these tasted good. Would love to try their other dishes and snacks some other time.

I don't know what's the hype all about. Im big fan of South Indian food. This place was total disaster. I went there because it's apparently a very famous place and highly recommended . Food was cold and tasteless. Complained couple of times but no hope. Never going back again.

I had order for Mutton Pothi Biryani and Royal Falooda via zomato. The order was accepted and after 10 minutes I have received a call from the restaurant stating the Mutton Pothi Biryani was over and they will replace the same by Bombay Mutton Biryani, I specifically told him that whether the food item was good, he said it's good. So i have agreed ans when I have received the delivery, the biryani was very bad and the quality was very low. This is not all acceptable.<br/><br/>We have been in UAE for 12yrs and we have visited a lot of restaurant in UAE which serves biryani but this experience was very bad. As the restaurant specified its Bombay mutton biryani which is also not in their menu. There are other related restaurants like Jaffer Bhai's rest, Gazebo, Chennai kadai and other which also serves one of the best Biryani's. So I request the restaurant to really improve their quality and taste which will help them build a good customer base. With my latest experience with them I will surely not recommend this restaurants to my friends and relatives.

Had gone to adaminde chayakkada last week with a friend. We ordered chicken biryani. Asked them for a little extra masala. The bearer brought a small plate of extra masala and the chicken biryani was tasty. Overall it was a good experience. Thinking of all that we went today too. Told the same thing to a different bearer this time. He said yes for the request of extra masala. But when the food came it was a complete disappointment. The chicken was hard. We felt like standing up and respecting it since it must be elder than us. (Sic) There was so sparse masala as if the bearer was mocking us. And it was so tasteless that we left the chicken and the rice (we couldn't call it biryani) half untouched. Told the cashier about this. There was not much response except a dry "sorry". It was if they cared the least. Probably they think people will come anyway.

We visited this restaurant on December 1 (public holiday) checking in at 1.45 and seated 20 minutes later (the wait process was good). Upon being seated and placing orders from the menu we are told most of the lunch items are over. Knowing that it was a public holiday they should be better prepared and they should have informed this when we checked in. It seemed they didn’t care because they had customers waiting even when we walked out without having lunch. Definitely not going back - arrogance because you think you are doing well is not justification for poor attitude and service.

Ordered for fish mango curry, 1 fish biryani and 1 chilli chicken and costed us aed 98. The quantity was so minimal which couldn't even satisfy 2 people. The payasam which we got with the biryani was spoiled and had a sour taste. Heavily overpriced and low quantity and quality.

Had been to this place for breakfast. Loved the interiors and the setting. Gives a total Keralite street feel. Tried idiyappam and egg curry and their cutting chai. Everything was nice. Only the interiors were very dark. Service is good. Food is worth the price. Will definitely come back again to try other delicacies.

Made a good attempt to be different from the normal South Indian restaurant with regards to interiors and menu name. <br/>But unfortunately the story ends there. <br/>Quality and taste of the food is not up to the minimum standard you expect from a normal mallu restaurant. Service and comfort matches the above.

The puttu, kal appam, black coffee and tea was good. The mango fish curry with coconut gravy was really bad. There was no salt, no mango flavor and could not find a piece of mango inside. Because of which the curry lost its flavor and sourness. Most important the fish was not washed properly, because of that we could get the raw fish taste. It’s not worth the price. All other items are very reasonably priced.

I don't understand how can someone charge 22 bucks for a biriyani that's taken least effort as possible.<br/>I really wanted to try food from here because there was hype about this place. But when I got the biriyani it was just Chicken Tikka with ghee rice mixed. The gravy was little too without much spice. Not sure because it was 50% off but I'm not getting anything again.

Their foods are tasty, nice service, good ambiance but little congested, over decorated, but feels nostalgic.the team and their looks are good. <br/><br/>Their adivasi porotta in bamboo, feels like kothu porotta only. Over Falvour of capsicum and tomato and its sauce ruined its taste. Adivasi spices feel were not there, chaya and lemon juice are superb. Snacks are also good. Foods are tasty, but bit overrated. Chinese foods are also good like fried rice and noodles. Need to register and wait for our turn to get seated. Still u will get a call from them and message too, and u can enjoy tea , starters or snack at this waiting time, outside.<br/> Anyway its recommended to visit the shop.<br/>

Went for lunch today. They dont have normal meals. Only Malsya Sadya which is 38 AED. Not Worth. We ordered Prawns kizhi and asked for rice with it. They charged 43 Aed (35 +8) for that. In a normal restaurant, u will get a meals for AED 8 TO 10. they charged aed 8 just for motta rice. Prawns kizhi is also expensive (35 aed) with 6 pieces of prawns. You will get ot for AED 20 IN similar restaurant nearby.

I had pothichor from here. Yes it was tasty. I saw most of the people are having biriyani and meals. <br/>The ambiance of this space is really nice. Sitting inside wherever you look at there is a flavor of Malabar & Nostalgia in it. On the screen they showed variety of dishes that are available in the menu. The names of the dishes are attractive at the same time funny. Over all a good restaurant positioned properly for the crowd that they expect.<br/>Parking is an issue.... busy hours I don’t know how it would be.

I will not come back to this restaurant again . I have ever had such a bad Kerala food in my life . I ordered chicken tikka bamboo Biryani - the chicken was very very rough and not at all a flavor of chicken tikka . Malabar dynamite prawns - it was the worst ever dynamite recipe ever you have tried it would be better if you would have used fresh prawns . My son comment was that I am having chewing gum mama . Malabar mango fish curry - I have been having mango fish curry since my childhood the open which I had was like coconut milk dip fish . Get basic right or your restaurant productive will be less and compromise on foot fall <br/>
