You get good shawarma here, 2 sizes medium and Large. Get out of the Fahidi metro station towards the Meena bazaar side and this is the first restaurant you can get into... The large sized Shawarma is pretty filling.

One of the oldest places in Meena Bazzar right next to the Al Fahidi metro this place is a must to go if you are around. Their arabic food items are delcious and pocket friendly the mutton shawerma, the arayes, falafels, the grills and the coktails are worth to try for. Finding parking around and finding a seat inside can be a challenge but once you overcome those difficulties my young padwan some delicious arabic food awaits you

The chicken shawarma here is delectable and so tasty. It makes you visit this place again and again because of it’s sumptuous food, easy and fast take-aways and casual seating. The timings are till late-night so you can enjoy a good hearty Lebanese meal even at 3am in the night after partying and club-hopping. It is light on the pocket with no compromise in taste, so in all, a perfect place to go !!!

For 28th dirhams, you get a fresh salad plate, a big bowl of chickpeas and chicken soup, hummus, kuboos and half tandoor chicken served with garlic sauce and fries!
It's a super deal and the chicken tastes great.
They also have a grilled chicken but that's on the bland side.
Ambience is open air on a busy street.😋

Easily the best shawarma in the country. Been having it since I moved here and haven’t found any better.
The spicy garlic chicken wrapped in a Saj like bread is typically Lebanese and it’s even better at the store itself. On delivery it may be chewy the bread but still tastes good.
I always bring my family from out of town to try their shawarmas as the best shawarma in Dubai and ofcourse their lamb chops. Both never let me down.

This place offers you a verity of Arabic food in budgeted price. We ordered Chicken shawarma , shish taouk , half grill chicken with hamous and khabus . The all the above were really nice in test. Loved the Shawarma ( authentic Arabic style ). The grill chicken was also equally good. The sitting arrangement is very small at times you may find difficulty to get a place for dine in. But a must try place. Value for money.

Ordered a Mexicana Shawarma and a falafel plate.Six falafel comes with tahini sauce and a chilli pastee,Falafal was superb,one of the best I had ever had.Didnt find any thing special in mexicana Shawarma,may be little bit more spice,can go with normal one too when there is difference of 6 AED,Shawarma was served with hummus,lentil soup,salad and bread,total value for money,what you get in 28 aed now a days,and if I would had ordered normal Shawarma then I think only 22 AED.

This is one of the oldest joints in Dubai. Should be atlest 35 to 40 years old at the same location. Their falafel sandwiches are one of the better ones, they don’t make it too dry like many small cafeterias. Their chicken shawarmas are superb too.

All their sandwiches come in 3 sizes. Small, Medium and Large. Although I got a decent appetite, I generally cannot finish the large one.

I can bet on one thing when it comes to Picnic It serves one of the best falafels in Dubai. Cheap and Best for a quick grab of a dine in. It’s a very small joint right around the corner of Al Fahidi Metro Station. The juices are quite fresh. It’s been 7 years now that’s I been visiting this place and the falafel exactly tastes the same. You can have a plate or a sandwich. Recommend for all people who love Falafel. Haven’t had Shwarma ever but my friend say it’s definitely a must have ! I would rate it 4/5 overall. A falafel costs AED5/- only with VAT :)

Whenever I feel hungry in the evening while returning home from office after a tired day, I usually go to Picnic Home and have Shawarma Mexican which is just 6 ( exclusive of 50 fils vat) Picnic Home is a Lebanese restaurant which is just outside Al Fahidi Metro Station Exit no 3. The Shawarma which we get here is one of the best shawramas in Dubai. They have two variants in it that is Spicy and Normal.

I have been eating out of this restaurant since childhood. Ordered Hummus Perotti (or rightly known as Beiruty), not worth quantity and taste for the value of AED 15. Requested for Garlic paste small (Price: AED 5), quantity received was less than 50gms. Their best sellers has always been Shawarma and Falafel sandwiches. Because of nolstalgic resons and sandwiches, rated this joint as 4.
Though the place is small, the Chicken Shawarma here is just amazing. We ordered for the Chicken Shawarma and it was served with Salad and Soup as additional. Needless to say one of the best Shawarma's I have had...it's the place to go for a Shawarma lover. Price points are cheap and service is good!!!
Let me start first with the delivery service. Whenever i order, the delivery rate is too slow. They need to hire more people to deliver faster. They are also tend to be rude when ordering on the phone. Should learn how to be professional.

Visited this place last evening,for 5 of us we ordered 4 regular Shawarma's and 1 Mexican Shawarma and 1 full Grilled Chicken. My friends really liked the Shawarma but i din like it coz my Shawarma NEVER TURNED UP AT THE TABLE even after reminding the waitress a couple of times...however the Grilled chicken was really good... served with the regular garlic paste, hummos,A.Bread(Khuboos) and also a soup which had noodles and chick peas in it.... was tasty but just too cold for a soup.So I would rate this place in the way of my favorite T.V show "Highway on my Plate"

Visited this place multiple times between December 2016- February 2017. It Conveniently located in front of exit 3 (Al Musalla Road) from the Al Fahidi metro station. There is indoor as well as outdoor seating which is pretty simple and modest, so this is not exactly the place one would to feel a sense of luxury. However, sitting outdoor during the winter does feel quite good as you can feel the cool breeze.
As far as service is concerned, their staff is quick at delivering the food onto your table however a few of the staff members are quite firm and not exactly friendly.
The two top sellers of the place would be the falafel sandwich and the chicken shawarma as far as i could tell from my regular visits to the place. However, i would say the main specialty is the chicken shawarma which is simply brilliant in taste. I've had shawarmas from a countless number of places and hands down this place has served me the best shawarma i've ever had, don't be fooled by the appearance which seems rather simple and normal. In addition to that, if you love spicy shawarmas just tell them how spicy you wan't you shawarma to be and you will be in for a surprise in my opinion.
Overall in my personal opinion this place has the best shawarma i've ever had and i would recommend all people who are ever in the meena bazaar area to visit there as it is worth to try it atleast once. The choices for the sizes also provide flexibility as the small shawarma (5 AED as per Feb 2017) is just perfect for a snack and the large shawarma (15 AED as per feb 2017) is just perfect for a meal. Hence, i would recommended everyone who is ever in the area to try their shawarma.

Tried Picnic Home after learning that they serve pretty good Lebanese Food and are the best in the area. It's a small cafeteria with limited seating inside and some outdoor seating as well. It's right outside Al Fahidi metro station, therefore good accessibility.
I tried the Falafel Sandwich and it was pretty decent and on request they make it really spicy. Super easy on the pocket and they prepare your dishes really quickly.

A stalwart in Arabic cuisine based in the busy side of Bur Dubai this cafe has been in business for at least more then 25 years. Their falafel and hummus is very authentic and tasty, this place also serves great shawarmas and grilled meats. A brand that's almost as old as brand Dubai and has definitely won a lot of hearts with their simple, humble and great food.
This particular outlet is a landmark of the area, as it has been around for ages. They serve the same street style Arabic food as their other outlets. I devoured their Shawarmas when I still ate meat but now enjoy their Falafel sandwiches, which are quite good and authentic.
If you are looking for an authentic Arabic eatery in the Meena Bazaar this is a great option.

The quest for the best local shawarma led me to try Picnic Home [located right outside Al Fahidi metro station]. Ordered the spicy shawarma platter. You can start with or without their soup [up to you!]. The sides arrived in the form of a portion of hummus, garlic paste, chili onions, pickle, fries and salad. The main dish by itself looked good for two. I, however, had no issues finishin' up though. The chicken shavings were super-tasty and amped up by the sauces and sides. Waiting to find seats could be the only issue you're bound to face. Definitely recommended for shawarma-lovers!

This is one of the oldest Lebanese joint in dubai. It is very close to home and always end ordering out.
The chicken shawarmas are one of the best I have had. We often order their shish tawouk which includes a small portion of hummus, Arabic bread and some fries. Love the shish tawouk with their garlic paste and chilli paste on the side. One portion is good to share for two people. Their falafel is also good.
Best whole chicken bird you'll find in Dubai
Don't forget to ask for their spicy red chilli paste as that is a must for the very delicious chicken that you'll dig into!

I am very picky about my chicken. The half chicken found me cutting into tender and moist white chicken meat. Reminded me of home cooked chicken, my mom used to marinate it over night.

My childhood Favorite. One of the oldest felafel and shawarma place in Bur Dubai. They are one of the very few cafeterias where you can add some garlic paste and chili paste to your sandwiches as per your taste. I have been eating from Picnic for 20 years now. Whenever grilled chicken comes to mind Picnic home is the 1st restaurant I think of. The chicken is perhaps the most juicy and succulent machine grilled chicken ever. And some how they have been able to maintain the same taste for all these years. Their hummus as well is top notch with a perfect blend and unlike other restaurants they don't usually top it off with olive oil so for healthy eaters this is great. But their shawarmas have changed over time and honestly not a big fan of their shawarmas anymore. Another welcome addition to their menu is the tandoori chicken which is also really good. But if you are a 1st timer over there I would say have the grilled chicken. For vegetarians they have some of the best falafel in this side of Bur Dubai. Hummus and falafel would be a really pleasant experience for all you meat shunners out there.
Had their falafels sandwiches last week. Have tried their chicken machine, sheesh tawook, shawarma, hommos on other occasions. The food is tasty, but basically its a no nonsense budget restaurant more suitable for takeaway. The food though nothing extraordinary is served quickly, is tasty and rarely disappoints. We were just passing through Picnic home and i knew i had to give this one a try . They have maintained their Filafil standard throughout the years . For all you spicy lovers , make sure you order the spicy Filafil ..its killer !! Also do make sure u tell them to add extra tahina sauce to your Filafil as it is too dry . They also serve complimentary pickle and chillies . We also ordered the filafil plate for a mere 4 dhs and it was so nice and crisp . Their service is outstanding !! The waitress was so kind and we also received our food within a minute !!!! Overall..this place is a must visit for all filafil lovers .

I love this place.
On the streets of Burdubai right opposite to Al Fahidi metro station they have some really good chicken shawrma.
So far all the dishes I have tried are great with some really good flavors.
The grilled chicken is juicy with lots of flavor unlike other restaurants serving the same.
All dishes are served with this chili chutney, pickle which is hot and spicy but goes amazing with the dishes.
All main courses are served with s lentil soup salad and hummus.

I believe, Grilled chicken prepared here can be a serious competitor for the "Best Grilled Chicken in Dubai Competition". The lentil soup served along with it varies every day... it may be thick ..with noodles on a given day or could have beans with not so thick on other days. However the grilled chicken is a must try for all. I will strongly recommend.

Sometimes trying our random eateries may turn out to be surprisingly good. I came across this while walking near the fahidi station. It's a small joint located near fahidi station opposite musalla towers which you can not miss at all if you have walked in that area. There are many people that just buy a shawarma or falafel sandwich on the go while others may sit outside at their outside seating arrangements. The falafel sandwich was quite different. They put this spicy sauce inside which is unique yet brilliantly complements the tahina sauce. The shawarma chicken piece which I seem to expierence in many other places was dry. Coming back here to try their other stuff!
