Finally had a chance to go there for dinner yesterday with my girlfriend. I have to say that we both absolutely loved the food and the staff is super nice and friendly. We went to Discovery Gardens branch-not sure how many of them are there in Dubai,but we're definitely coming back. Their Kottu and Devilled Prawns are must try! What a place!
Had kothu It tastes really good, being from south india and wanted to taste authentic lankan food. Chicken Kothu is something i recommend to my malayalee friends

Took my friend here and the food without exaggerating was scrumptious. Jimmy the restaurant manager was really helpful explaining what was what on the menu gave us samples to try out. My friend new to Sri Lanka food was impressed. The hoppers and the curry's accompanying it was delicious authentic and reminded me of home. Definitely a visit back.

The prawn curry was good but the crab curry was delicious!!! Quality was good , made fresh , did take longer but absolutely worth the wait .

Well organised with social distancing, knowledgeable staff and delicious food made it a fantastic dining experience at Tushanis.We had the Lampraise ,devilled Chicken and Nasi Goreng which were simply delicious.The woodapple drink added more local flavour to our overall experience.
I went with my family for a Saturday lunch. The kids had a chicken fried rice (we asked for it to be not spicy) and my wife and I had the "yellow rice". It was fantastic. All 4 of us were very happy with the food and were very impressed. We had a choc biscuit pudding and creme caramel as dessert and they were impressive too. Fresh wood apple juice was such a authentic Sri Lankan touch. The kids loved it. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Very hygienic considering the current environment as this was of paramount importance to us. Overall, a fantastic little gem that we were so impressed with. Would highly recommend it
I can not recommend Thushani enough for traditional Sri Lankan food. Their Sri Lankan short-eats and mains (hoppers and kottu) brings a piece of Sri Lanka to Dubai.
I highly recommend Thushani as the best Sri Lankan restaurant in the UAE and encourage all non Sri Lankan’s to try their food.
Please also consider giving a tip to their nice friendly delivery drivers who always have a smile on their face!
This place serves some authentic Sri Lankan cuisine. Their buffet lunch has few items but all of them very tasty. The string hoppers and the parotta were really good.

I wandered in with my family on a Friday afternoon, and was immediately greeted by the friendly attentive staff and the incredible aroma of Srilankan delicacies. The restaurant was filling up quickly but we managed to get a table.
We ordered the Thushani's Lamprais, Hot Butter Cuttlefish and the Sri Lankan Biryani.
The Cuttlefish were crispy, flavorful, and chewy. The Lamprais and Biryani were packed with a generous quantity and with consistent flavor that represented a fine dining experience.
We concluded with some Sri Lankan sweets. By the end of the meal we were planning our next visit.

There is always a learning curve and the ultimate perfection. With Thushanis I have seen both of these in positive manner , over the past few years. The very recent experience with them for the dinner dining requirements for my daughters birthday celebration has been arranged and handled by their experienced staff with flying colours. Professionalism was exercised well from taking the order until the end where they collected the serving equipments. When I think of any country, I go down the culinary route and think of its cuisine. For UK, fish and chips, India, butter chicken, Pakistan, kebabs, Thailand, green curry and so on. However, in terms of Sri Lanka, I was blank. I had no reference point. But the folks at Thushanis took me on a trip to Sri Lanka so I could be made familiar with the cuisine. Soothe each tantalisingly spicy spoon of the sambol with a bite of their freshly baked bread. I found myself piling my plate with veggies like pumpkin and jackfruit (curry) that I otherwise wouldn't. I ended my meal with a simple sweet dish - yoghurt+honey. Who would've thought something so simple could be so refreshing. I tried the Saturday brunch and can't wait to try some Sri Lankan delights from their Friday special menu.

We have different nationalities most of them been westerners,
the food needed to be very mild spicy. Thushani’s

Went for the buffet on SL Independence Day and was very happy with the taste and selection of dishes (they had string hoppers, hoppers, kothu, Pol roti and curries) included in the buffet, so it was nice for a change.
They also have SL bakery items.
Service at the restaurant was also very good, even though they were very busy.

Well to begin with Thushani’s is a Sri Lankan restaurant which offers both authentic Sri Lankan food and some awesome other dishes with a traditional twist. The flavors and the food are prepared for perfection. You can always inform them what you need and they would cater to your taste buds. Lumprice,Nasi Gureng, yellow rice set menu is one of the specialties that they serve. This restaurant has never disappointed me.
They also cater for parties, gatherings and special occasions. You would get a wide range of options that can be carefully selected according to your guest. The live hopper station is absolutely remarkable and the guest at my parties simply enjoyed it as it was served as a hot meal. Since our parties start very last they even adjusted to timings to suite us where else most restaurants have their own timings which we have to adjust. There are two outlets in UAE ( One in Dubai and one in SHJ) please ensure you order well in advance if it’s a Friday so that you won’t be disappointed with the delivery.
The hospitality and Staff service standard have no complain, they are always happy to serve with a Smile.

We came here for a late lunch from the office. The staff were welcoming and the menu choice was very good. The hot butter cuttle fish was superb and the devilled chicken also excellent.
We thoroughly enjoyed the meal and will definitely return.
Dining at Thushanies is a weekly must for our family. The quality of food and the authentic Sri Lankan food served makes it a real family favourite. Amazing place! We were craving for something different and Thushani's definitely hit the spot. Since i'm no stranger to Sri Lankan food, it's super authentic with a friendly staff and manager. We took the advice of another review and started with the Hot Butter Cuttlefish (battered and fried served with spring onions) - was pleasantly surprised at how tasty it was. Will definitely be ordering delivery soon!

#Late by a day but never too late for a restaurant that goes beyond the review. An amazing Crab Night (my first after years) hosted really well by Team Thushanis. Do me a favor and keep a watch on your social media feeds for the next Crab Night, you don't wanna miss them Crabs :)
P.S. They say you save the best for the last, and they did just that with the Fruit Trifle. A delicate blend of bread, custard and fresh fruits that gets you on your toes! We hope to spot it on your menu soon!

Went for the crab night yesterday and food was value for money. You got more than what you paid for, the food and the service. The crabs were delicious but what mostly stands out is the service at the restaurant. It maybe a small place but the service you receive is better than majority of the hotels you go to around Dubai.
Looking forward to the next Crab night. It is something that has to be tried. It’s worth it,

We are vegetarians so we tried only vegetarian food but it was great experience in Thushanis. We had egg kottu, Sri Lankan dal and coconut mulk curry which was very tasty. The staff is very friendly and professional. I'm sure we will be back there soon 😊
Went to this place for the first time on a Friday to have their special rice and curry in banana leaf and lumprice. We were so impressed with the food quality and quantity. All the vegetable items served were in a good quantity in propotinate with the rice. There was a variety of curries which was the best part. The place is kept neat and clean and the staff are friendly. I think this was the only place in Dubai where I could find the food tasting as good as back home. Hope they maintain the quality without diluting it. As we don't live in Discovery Gardens, it was a distance for us to get here. But worth the trip. Wish they had a branch in a much more centrally located area. Definitely recommend Thushani's.

Great Sri Lankan lunch on Friday’s. This meal comes in a banana leaf and is as good as some of the places in Colombo. The other item that is good is the fried rice. Not a fan of the kothu or the roti
The kottu here is amazing. Man finding kottu this good is even hard to get in Sri Lanka. The food came on time and was at a very good temperature. The chopsuey rice was good but not the best I have had. And they do their babath right as well.

Been here for the first time, we usually go to either chef Lanka or ayubowan but this place has impressed us ..

Food : the very important part.
We were around 10 ppl who went there with our families, ordered a lot of dishes apart from the pictures I have posted.
So started with their complimentary fish cutlets was nice can give 6/10 compared to home made cutlets.
Hot butter cuttel fish : 7/10 I could have given them full but that wasn’t cooked well, and there was slight fishy smell on it. But the taste of the spices was perfect.
Ordered Sweet and sour chicken, hoppers, chicken curry, egg Fried rice, deviled chicken was too crispy but the taste was good it could have made a little softer, dal was amazing and their lunumiris and seenisambol was 20/10 ... loved it
I want to also emphasize on their quantity, it was a perfect and I have not seen any other restaurant servicing us this quantity. Worth every penny.
Hope you guys change the taste of few dishes and do not change your serving quantity.

Had visited the restaurant for a late lunch (3:30-4:00 Pm) and was surprised by the enthusiasm, energy and effort put in by the staff to make sure that we had a good food experience which was a rare but true display of Sri Lankan hospitality.
Moving onto the food, the food was above decent and was fairly flavorful which is what many Sri Lankan’s would look for when visiting a local restaurant in a foreign land. Angelo had made sure that even at that late time the items in the buffet was refilled to meet our greed and hunger ;)
The snacks were amazing and some the bakery items tasted amazingly fresh whereas some of them were not so fresh which was again communicated to us by Angelo.
A wonderful experience that fulfilled the long standing craving of some good quality Sri Lankan food which many popular places had failed to meet in my experience.
Hats off to the team of the restaurants and just hope that standards remain always over the period of time..good luck!!
Great authentic food. Order was taken efficiently, delivery was quick. My particular favourite was the hot butter cuttlefish. Egg roti was also well prepared.
I have been here twice and particularly like the Nasi Goreng. The restaurant has a chilled out staff who are very interactive and friendly. The meats in dishes such as devilled or hot garlic tend to be fried above what I like, but then I am not sure if thats the way its supposed to be in the Sri Lankan style.

Dubai is still lacking Sri Lankan restaurants, compare to other restaurants. by saying that Thushani's trying to provide the authentic Sri Lankan cuisine to the community without conditions. Such as genuinely care about your customers. in order to have repeat customers, you have to make sure you look after your Employes. They will look after your customers. Mr. Kumar who works in the gardens branch is an asset to your restaurant group. Even many times your harmony of consistency fluctuates I still go or most of the time order food because of this gentleman's fine way of customer service.

The weather was dreary on New Year's Eve, but my meal at Thushani's altered everything. It was my first taste of Sri Lankan food, and I'm so delighted I got to have it at Thushani's. Every item I had, had a blast of flavor that made me wonder why I hadn't tried such a fantastic cuisine in my 27 years of existence. My buddies and I wanted to eat at the buffet, but we were too late. Mr David, on the other hand, made our eating experience warm and welcoming, providing me with an outstanding experience. As someone with a spicy palate, I'd say I'll return to this place again and again.
Some of my favorite dishes: Crab Curry (I'm not a big fan of seafood, but this place may have converted me!) Pineapple curry, Green peas curry, and chicken curry. I had the opportunity to sample the authentic bread (the name of which I have forgotten, but it was great!) I hope they open more locations. If you're traveling from a long distance, I can personally attest that Thushani's will provide an unforgettable experience.

Thushani’s is probably the best Sri Lankan restaurant in Dubai, hands down. Very reasonably priced, each dish is prepared with extreme care and perfection. The quality of each sea food, be it prawns, cuttle fish or crabs are so fresh that it tastes more delicious post cooking. You’ll know that these are not frozen and acquired fresh! I ordered hot butter cuttle fish, hot butter crab, devilled fish and Sri Lankan crab curry along with some string hoppers. Food came on time ! The hot butter crab was spiced to perfection and tasted Awesome. Sri Lankan crab curry is also very delicious and was cooking in a coconut milk gravy.
The restaurant provides not only the fresh and quality sea food but also delivers a very homely hospitable service to its diners. The restaurant might be small but The staff is very nice and happy to customize the preparation according to your taste buds. Definitely recommend this place and will definitely come back for more ! Kudos to the Chef and heartfelt thanks to the owner/management of the Thushani’s! Keep Up the freshness and quality of the food !

I ordered delivery online and five minutes later received a call saying one of the dishes was not available and that they could offer a cheaper dish to replace it.
The food itself was great with plenty of bold flavours in spices and seasoning as you would expect from Sri Lankan food. There was also a good amount of heat with chili present in just about everything that was savoury. Prices are quite good as well for the food you get.
Delivery on a Saturday lunch time was estimated to be about 50 minutes but ended up taking about 1 hour 45 minutes - they said they were busy.
It's really good food but they just need to sort out a few issues on the delivery side.

If you wanna try Sri Lankan🇱🇰 food come here , one of those hidden spots cause of less marketing. I stumbled on this place cause I couldn’t find parking and winded up eating here . But wow I was amazed , clean place , server wore a mask , courteous and served us well . The food ohh la la ….. yummy 🤤 as “aheem” . Fresh sweet natural coconut 🌴 water , yummy prawns 🍤, if you can’t handle heavy spicy 🥵 inform them or you will burn 🔥. The food was so good 😊 I wanted to try everything but no space in the tank. Even their deserts were good like the caramel we had . Also their traditional complimentary wada they offered was a nice touch . Great place and must try . Just let them know your spice level
