Almost identical to Nando's peri peri chicken in mild, lemon n herb, hot and extra hot flavours. We reached after 10 pm and were served in the Food Court seating area but service was excellent an they provided us our order of different types of chicken, breads, French fries, cold drinks, in Take away boxes. It was horrifying to find a used tissue crumpled up and placed within the salad bowl, which I have accidentally stumbled upon between the lettuce in my salad. It was a mortifyingly repulsive experience to find a dirty tissue mixed up inside my salad, and this is completely unacceptable, and has forced me to never want to come back there again.

What can I say its my favourite place for flame - grilled chicken . Ordered Boneless Chicken Breast with the level of spice Hot with two sides . 1. Sweet Potato Fries 2. Steamed Vegetables 3. Porta Rice 4. Peri Peri Fries All things came fresh and hot . And in time . Sweet Potato fries were really good as in a change from regular fries . Peri peri fries were too good . And the best part is they are at entertainer too . So you can easily go for 2for1 . Yay !

This feels good to return to places I’ve missed so much. Last week we went to Galitos, located in festival city mall. It’s a South African restaurant. Their spicy, tangy and juicy flame grilled chicken is a family’s favourite. Soups and salads: : Hot chicken soup is very filling but the fresh, crunchy salad is not to be missed. Main course: My number one choice is their flame grilled chicken. Burgers and wraps are equally good but this time I found the chicken burger a little too salty. Fire fighters/mocktails: My favourite is coco mambo. It’s a mix of mango juice, coconut syrup, lemon juice, fresh mint and soda water. Mint lemonade and iced tea are very refreshing too. Desserts: The dessert I ordered was sticky toffee pudding. They serve this steamy hot toffee pudding drizzled with caramel sauce with vanilla ice cream. It was too good! Good portion size and attentive staff! Interior is also very beautiful. Colorful rattan basket lamps and vintage bulbs have added style to the restaurant. These days they are offering this amazing combo meal deal that is valid from Tuesdays to Thursdays. Combo meal includes 1.choice of soup or salad 2. Pick one main course 3. Choose your drink. Ordered on June 17th, 2020 for delivery for a lunch meal. I ordered the dish of half chicken and two sides. The speed of the delivery was good. The two sides tasted well with good size portions. Was really disappointed with the half chicken dish. Firstly, it tasted like frozen chicken and not fresh. Secondly, not only was there no taste, it was the complete opposite, it was very salty. Since could not get any alternatives at the time, ate the food nevertheless. One hour later, felt queasy and did not feel good for a couple of hours. I have ordered from the restaurant in the past but a different location and the food was amazing. This experience was highly disappointing. Hope the restaurant visits this issue.

I'm regular of Galito's! absolutely love this place. A bunch of us mommies & kids went to DFC mall and we decided to grab lunch from here since they have big seats & they are spacious. We ordered a lot of dishes & couldn't find fault with any of them! Especially likes the flame-grilled chicken & the sharable dish- espetada. There is a range of sides so all of us were able to find something that we loved. My top picks are Sweet potato fries & peri-peri fries! Also, you have the freedom to customize the flavor/ spice-level that you would like from low spice all the way to extra hot!. . My take on Galito's: Food: 4/5 Service: 4/5. I have to mention that the staff was friendly with our children. It will be nice if they were able to explain the menu a bit better. They were helpful. Ambiance: 3.5/5 (Casual ambiance) Pricing: 4/5 (comparable to competitors) . Highlight: They have buy 1 get 1 offer on the Entertainer app & on Zomato Gold! Such a catch!!

Been there many times with my friends and to be honest its a great place... always crowded and the restaurant seems to be busy... One of favorite was the Halloumi burger which hits all the spots on the taste buds.. also the fav of mine was the sticky toffee cake. i have actually been there many times just for the dessert. The staff are trained well and the manager(a lady, who always smiles, givin a warm welcome) there remembers my orders every time im there.. But for the business they do, they should have more staff as some times the orders get delayed. over all the food and decor is great and will surely come there more often.

This was the first time for me going on Gallito's, the menu they had was amazing, But the people who work there really didn't know their menu, I think they can improve being nice to the customers (a bit), and they need to know their food selections on the menu. Horrible and rude service with an attitude. The hostess asked to follow the waitress for the tables and she did not know she was taking us to the table. Then 3 people were called for the order and kept saying your waitress will come. The waitress when asked to recommend as it was our first time was least interested and while taking our order her attention kept going on another table and when told to her she can attend there first as she was not paying attention she was rude and said I am . Food was below standards when you compete with likes of Nandos where neither you stand by quality or service. The only reason to dine here was for the voucher but will never again . The servers name was Nirmala and only reason to mention is for you to know which staff needs training and hospitality etiquette.

Perfectly grilled chicken and tasty with good varieties of sauce to choose from. Their interior is well done and very welcoming. Staff are friendly and accomodating. Sharon did a good job to make out meal enjoyable. She had good product knowledge and was suggesting according to our taste. We ordered flame grilled chicken with some rice and Peru peri Fries. It was an amazing choice.

Ordered the chicken burger. Order arrived on time but the food was so salty, I hardly took a bite and had to throw all of it. It was enough to give someone a heart attack. I wonder if chefs don't taste the food they are making. This is my 3rd consecutive bad experience with Galito's. Probably will never order again.

A Decent alternative for the famed Nando's. The ambiance is good and so is the friendly staff. Chicken Espetada is really tasty especially with their bunch of spicy sauces. The 2 side dishes adds more. The real catch is there flame grilled chicken. Among the starters, Chicken-E-naise is a bad choice. 4 pieces of garlic bread with some chicken toppings is what in it. Chicken Satay and wings are really delicious. Even though they serve burgers, its not their real mastery.

The underlying feature of Galitos is reflected in its logo - Flame Grilled Chicken. It is a well spaced out restaurant with a comfortable ambience, located in the Festival City food court. We tried the half chicken seasoned in hot sauce and the other half seasoned in lemon and herb. The chicken was tender and tasted delicious on the outside. However, the inside portion was not juicy enough which left the dish short of the wow factor. You can pep up the spice with the extra hot sauce at the table. For sides (you could select up to 2 per half chicken), we ordered a well flavored O Porto rice, nicely grilled vegetables including brocolli, zucchini, corn, carrot, onion, aubergine and 2 portions of mashed potatoes which were average. We have also tried their Chicken Cambotada previously and the espatada skewers were marinated to perfection. The portions offered by Galitos are generous and the staff wears a smile on their face during interaction with the customers. If you are a grilled chicken lover, then you could give the place a try. The restaurant has tie ups with both Zomato Gold and Entertainer and is therefore a pocket friendly option.

One thing noticeable with the menu is that it’s quiet similar to Nando’s. So instead of ordering good ole Nando’s, which I have been doing so during a craving of some flavourful peri peri chicken, I, for the first time, tried Galito’s. I had the whole Chicken that comes with four side dishes which are Oporto rice, which is really good. Finished the whole thing up. Rice was perfectly seasoned and has that right amount of spice to it. Sweet potato and regular fries which came in soggy and grilled veggies which has thinly cut veggies that are overcooked from grilling. Corn and carrots, broccoli, eggplant and onions looked so sad. There was no crunch at all. Anyhow seasoning was there so meh. Moving on with the chicken, the first half is in Lemon and herbs while the second one is Honey glazed. Not a fan of both since the flavor of the marinate were only brushed through the skin but it doesn’t have much flavor on meat. Other peri peri chicken I know were flavoured upto the bone so they didn’t make the cut. Chicken portion was huge but taste wise, for 128 aed Good time meal, I can go somewhere else. Lastly, also ordered the sticky toffee pudding and the caramel sauce spilled so I didn’t get to enjoy it that much. Ciao!

It was my first time dining here and all I can say is they have the best flame grilled chicken! The lemon herb chicken itself is tasty without sauce. If you like spicy food, I recommend to mix the hot sauce and garlic sauce and use it as a dip. I also like the peri fries because of it's seasoning.

I was walking past this place in Dubai Festival City one weekday evening and decided to try it out. The place has ample seating and the service is good. You should expect to wait for a while for your order to come depending on the selection from the menu. I called for the spicy version of the Chicken Espetada with sweet potato fries on the side. It is being served with a different name and is not on the menu. I loved the spices and the perfectly well grilled pieces of chicken. The chicken was soft and juicy as well. The sweet potato fries were equally good. It did take some time for my order to be served however once it was, It was gone in no time.

Decided to give it a shot since it's on Entertainer and wanted to compare it to it's nearest competitor. Have to say that it was a tad underwhelming. We tried the Chicken espetada, half chicken, durban grilled chic and the supremo grilled chick wrap. The Espetada and Durban grilled chick were good with the spices apt. Complemented well with the sauces. However, the rest were ok. Although the kids loved seemed to like the wrap. The deco is great and staff very attentive. Prices are on the higher side but the Entertainer vouchers helped.

We wouldn’t have tried Galito’s if we didn’t find it as an option on the Entertainer app. Since my husband and I wanted something different to try, we walked in and ordered at Galito’s. The ambiance was unique but lighting was a little dim for me. Wait staff were also nice and accommodating especially when I requested to change my side dish order to something else, even after it was served on our table. The chicken was good. The rice, which was hefty in serving (for me, at least) was a bit dry but still tasty. The sauces for the chicken were good complements. The side dishes on the other hand were good but not great. I ordered the spinach with potatoes, which pleasantly surprised me, as it was savory! The hubby got himself a coleslaw, which didn’t level to his standards.

Walked in to the Galito's at DFC Mall for lunch on a weekday. Until I did so, was not sure if it was the right idea since we expected the noises from the food court to be a disturbance. However, was genuinely surprised that not only was it calm, it did turn out to be a good choice for a lunch meeting; and we weren't the only table to have meeting. Ordered a boneless platter from the 'shareable menu' as we thought it was a good idea to get a taste of a mix of dishes. We were treated to a heavy filling spread which got us busy for most of the time we were there. The spice levels we asked for was Extra Hot and honestly, it was not that 'extra'. Keeping that aside, the food was good. Definitely a place I would go back to. And to benchmark it with its competitor, I would say Galitos is ahead in the race.

Just subscribed to the zomato gold and dined in at Galito's. Sadly their staff weren't informed or educated well enough to know how the zomato gold 1+1 vouchers work. On zomato app the restaurant closed at 11pm whereas I was dining in at 10:45ish until past 12. I asked our server if I should claim the voucher before ordering my food but he said we should do it when we are being presented with the bill. Unfortunately by the time we had the bill in our hand the zomato app showed that the restaurant was closed at 11pm and won't process the 1+1 voucher. Zomato being such a huge portal should educate themselves about restaurants and their proper timings as well as the restaurants management should be equally well learned and educated about what is going on with the zomato gold subscription. Lack of information left us disappointed at Galito's today. Zomato didn't help us either claim the voucher or even get us a discount on the total bill. Although the food was great but what happened today was not a very good experience. The curly haired girl was the sweetest.

My family and I are huge fans of Galito's. We usually have lunch here whenever we are in festival city. Their chicken is delicious and their fries, rice and liver are just as good. The only downside would have to be the garlic bread. I felt like it lacked flavour. The service is impeccable and the decor is pretty cool.

This was my first time trying out Galito’s. It’s a lovely restaurant with eye catching decor. Sharon, the host, was very friendly and escorted us to our table. Our server was also friendly and overall provided great service. We ordered Durban Grilled Chicken and Chicken Espetada, with sides of mashed potatoes, peri fries and grilled vegetables. The Durban Chicken was very different as I hadn’t tried anything like that but it was tasty and I liked the butter rice it came with. The Chicken Espetada was quite delicious!! Very tender and juicy. The peri fries were so good. The prices are a bit on the high side. I don’t think they justify the portions though. You can enjoy a 1+1 if you have the #Entertainer App like we did.

I had visited this branch 3 days ago and i had the the chicken wing and galibowl and OMG it was super delicious. The wings was spicy and hot(adding their signature sauces makes it even spicier if one requires).Galibowl was a delight to have with various veggies and grilled chicken. Will definitely recommend it. Half Chicken with Chili bean - Mild Sauce; good portion size for one person, sauce was good too. 3. Half Chicken with Sweet Potato Fries - mild sauce, serving size was good, fries were crispy and weren’t oily. 4. Half Chicken Breast with Garlic Bread and Peri Fries - mild sauce; good fries which wasn’t oily too, the side garlic bread included 4-5 pieces which was good to share. This was our second try at galitos. We had had grilled chicken with steamed rice and peri fries and chicken espetada with grilled vegetables and steamed broccoli. Both the dishes were delicious. For drinks we had mint lemonade which was ok. Now comes the best part of the meal which is dessert we had toffee sticky pudding which was like every dessert lovers dream. I definitely recommend everyone to try their sticky pudding. Overall we had a great time.

I ordered online and I noticed when the food came that the drink was missing. I called the restaurant right away and they offered to send me the drink along with a complementary dessert and plus one more drink! The food was really good, chicken was tender and juicy and service top notch.

The liver is tastier, the salad is fresh, the sweet potato fries are delicious, the coolers are refreshing. and the hero of the menu - the chicken is generously marinated and finger lickin' good. Ordered quarter chicken with sweet potato fries. The portion was good enough and the delivery was on time. The only downside was the taste it was not up to the mark and very dry. The sauce was very little.

Loved the food and nice ambience. Perfectly cooked chicken espetada, chickenaise was also very yummy. Kids loved it. The sticky toffee was tooooo good, melting in your mouth, one of the best i have ever had.

It was for our friends birthday we had been there and we were almost 20 of them the choices were good in terms of the roasted chicken , meal for 2 , meal for 4 so we went ahead with the combo orders that carried the soup, salad, mashed potato, sauté broccoli the roasted chicken . The service , ambience , quality were really extraordinary and inspite of the crowd being big they really managed to take care of each an everyone’s order. I moreOver felt the same kind of taste as of to nandos nevertheless it was good and to the dessert we ended up with some brownies and ice creams that was absolutely mouth melting. Definitely highly recommend

Chicken is juice and tasty, however I find this almost similar to Nandos with better pricing options. Though the sauces taste different and have more varieties.

We love Nando’s and wanted to try a similar concept hence Galito’s A similar menu, similar sauces and Portuguese flam grilled chicken concept.. We ordered chicken with various sides- rice, mash and corn. Chicken is ok, sides were good- their sauces used on the chicken give a raw chilli taste and not to my liking..

I love the food, i love the ambiance and i love their sauces! Ordered the half chicken with two sides; my personal favourite are the sweet potato fries and green salad. I like the flavour to be Mild so that I can out the sauces to my desire. Paired with an icy cold Coke it tastes awesome!

Amazing ambience, amazing food, amazing service. The grill chicken is soft, juicy and succulent. Sides were tasty too. Have to give 5 stars for super efficient service from Arlene. Would highly recommend this restaurant.
