I was in Dubai with a group of friends and we decided to have lunch in Ahwak. I loved the ambiance of this restaurant which is friendly and relaxing. The only problem here were the seats as I felt a little uncomfortable.
Talking about the food we ordered both hot and cold appetizers. We tried their fattoush, Tabuleh, moutabal, chicken liver, makanek, wine leaves. The salads were salad fresh and tasty and hot appetizers were delicious as well.
In the main course we went for the usual mix grill with the garlic sauce which went well together. The meat was soft, juicy and nicely done. The highlight of our main course was the bread which was fresh and hot direct from the oven. It smells and tastes great.
We also ordered fresh juices. The mixed pomegranate and strawberry juice was yummy as well.
The place is friendly and recommended to visit with friends and family
I have a lot of mixed feelings about this place. It is that rare occasion where the restaurant gets a decent rating despite the service being borderline unwelcoming.
It's got really cute decor, modern with a hint of tradition, delicious food, AMAZING fresh bread, but confused servers who are also not that interested really. The restaurant was almost empty as we went for lunch on a weekday but the servers were in a real hurry to take away the menu, despite asking to keep one (which they returned in 10 minutes to take away), or taking away our plates..even though there was still food on it, and that was unpleasant. It took two minutes to explain what I was asking for when I wanted Tahina, and eventually I was told that it is a paid side, which was unusual. So, even though I really liked the food, I'm not sure if I'll go again.
We ordered:
Hommos
Spicy potatoes
Falafel platter
Cheese feha (not sure on the exact name)
We didn't find manakesh on the menu, but upon asking the server if the serve manakesh, and after decoding what seemed like a very unsure answer, we ordered something called cheese feha (I'm still not sure how to pronounce it right), which is a slightly modified version of manakesh, and I really liked it.
Also, their falafel tastes a bit different than usual, which is not necessarily a bad thing, but my taste buds are too used to a particular flavor that comes to mind whenever you think of falafel in the UAE.
The food is fantastic, I really would love to come back again. The prices are average. Atmosphere is so good like your enjoying and dining in Beirut. Staff are friendly.
The fooooooood is so good and it deserve each dirham you spent.
Keep it this way.
Bread; delicious and awesome, its freshly made and keeps on coming. We had the hammous set with meat within them as appetiser. Then we ordered the jumbo prawns, veal grill, grill set and lamb cutlets. All were really good. If i remember correctly, Ms. Janice helped us out with the orders and were quick and professional. The location is really nice, parking availability might get a bit tricky, but if u are lucky then its all good. Overall experience was really good and made our afternoon even better.

Ahead has a very high end decor which sets the ambiance right. Serving your favorite Lebanese dishes with great aplomb and a contemporary take on the traditional dishes. Located conveniently at a corner of Box Park, and with ample parking one can enjoy a hearty meal.

Went here on a Saturday evening in October. The weather has just started getting nice so the open seating in Box park is becoming popular and this place is nice.
Coming to the restaurant itself - in short, would give the food 4.3 and 2.5 on service.
They of is well flavored and not just meat like a lot of Arabic food these days. Shish tawouk needs a special shout.
The service being rated poorly is more a reflection of how few waiters are on duty and having to service the restaurant that is having continuous footfall.
Beautiful food. We went for the humous with meatballs for started served with fresh warm bread it was lovely this was our first time to try meat with humous and we really enjoyed it. We went for the taouk platter and kebab platter both were great it's not very often that you find chicken taouk that isn't overly dry, this was cooked to perfection. The staff were very welcoming and attentive. We will definitely return to try more.
I was not interested to try the restaurant however once i gave it a try i was so happy to be there .. the food is good as well as the service ... location is perfect as well .. recommended!!
Nice place with good location, well decorated, nice ambiance, friendly staff, quick service with good food. Ordered the mixed grill and rocca salad which tasted fresh, meat was also tasty. Overall a very pleasant experience, will defo go again.
Located at Boxpark, this Arabic restaurant is different in a good way and worth the try:
-it serves fresh food
-food has a pure and natural taste
-the menu offers the traditional food items but with a tasty twist (e.g. Fattoush with home made croutons)
-fresh complimentary bread in wholewheat and white
-portions are perfect
-service is friendly too
The only remark: we ordered Labneh in olive oil, but got dry Labneh balls instead.
This did not make our total experience less nice, great place for casual dinner!
Wanted to try out Ahwak since a long time so finally made it for Dinner. We ordered the Baby Chicken and mix grill along with a portion of Hummus. The Baby chicken was fantastic perfectly grilled, the chicken was soft and juicy. The Mix grill was lovely too. Ordered the strawberry minted lemonade which was excellent ( a must try). Overall a very good experience.
I was here yesterday for dinner with my friends.. The food was good.. Its the same Lebanese food but it was so light and fresh! Enjoyed it for sure.. The mix grill and sheesh taook is a must try! Pls do not try the grilled shrimps from the main course section..!! The service was so quick and good! They serve shisha outdoors as well.. I am definitely going back very soon as i loved the quick and kind service.. The manager was so sweet humble and always smiling at us for the fact that we were having a good time.. Its so hard to get that in a Lebanese restaurant in Dubai!!
BOXPARK is a funky and modern outdoor concept offering a selection of dining options which includes the traditional Lebanese cuisine food chain, Ahwak Cafe,(Ahwak Iftar is also available at all the other branches) . I was super impressed with the relaxed atmosphere and adorable yet simple decor. It definitely gives you the feel of a cafe. The 5 course Iftar set menu has variety to offer at an affordable price (99 per person).
We were wandering around Box Park, looking for a place to eat. When we saw Ahwak, we went straight in, as we are used to their great food served in Tecom. The portions were generous as usual, but the food just wasn't as good. The place was empty for lunch, but then again most of Box Park was because of the heat. We were offered desserts at the end, always a great gesture & definitely delicious.
Really liked Ahwak in Boxpark. The restaurant is located near perennial crowd favorites Filful and Logma. This place was slightly less crowded but equally good if not better in my opinion. The baby chicken and shish tawook were really well made. The hot breads which comes in white and brown enhances the entire meal. Liked it so good that I went twice in two weeks. Definitely recommended
There are ample cafes with arabic food and sheesha in Dubai. But this one stands out not just for the excellent food and sheesha but also for the attentive service that they provide. The sheesha was smooth. The mixed grill we ordered was succulent and full of flavor. People planning to visit this joint should definitely try their freshly squeezed orange juice or pomegranate lemonade. Pricewise; sheesh was a bit on the pricier side but it was worth it as we kept puffing on it for almost 2 hours without choking or it losing the flavor (which is a rarity in Dubai). Food is decently priced. We ordered one sheesha, 1 mixed grill, 2 orange juice and 1 pomegranate lemonade and the total bill came upto 215dhs. I would recommend this place if just chilling out with your friends is your plan.
Amazing ambience
Decent pricing
Friendly staff
Starters
Falafil plate

Vanilla Mistekah 👌🏻
Amazing place to try the authentic Lebanese food with great view and they also serve sheesha it has indoor and outdoor seatings .The food arrives in 20 mins .The grills are just amazing hot served from the kitchen.
Definitely recommend 👍

I loved the drinks , food , dessert , great quality , good portion . Falafel and the Date dessert was somewhat dissapointed rest everything was perfect . Great service by Mr. Zayed he took care of us from the start till we left . Not to forget the supervisor Mr. Moemen regularly visited our table just to ensure if everything is ok or not which was very much appreciated 👍
I am a loyalist when it comes to arabic food and they have good lebanese food I would say. However, for the price,I found the quantity to be less.
We were a group of six and we also had the entertainer voucher.Had the fattoush for appertizer, mixed grill, tawook and baby chicken for main course.I really liked the fattoush. In my fooding experiece,I have found very few places tht do a fattoush well. Its either too sour or bland.
But this was just right (It is to be noted that I had also asked them to bring the lime juice separate so that it can be added as per taste).
The grill was great too.The baby chicken bowled me over. The bread is soft and fluffy and served hot.
Service is okay I would say and not excellent.
I would want to go bk again!
Caveman's verdict:Truly a place to binge if you are not looking for reasonable rates.
Skinnylicious verdict:They have the option of brown pita bread and the potato served with grills is roasted. So again, healthy option for a dine out!
Nicd place & service . Food is tasty , we ordered baeby chicken ( dagag mesahab ) and lebenese keba ( hot mezza ) both of them was tasty . Good experince
Good: Food, Fruit Juice, Sheesha, Service, Staff
Not Good: The place closes at 1 (But thats with all the options at box-park, so its fine).
P.S.: Ample of parking place too. :P
Average Lebanese food, could be better. We ordered Mutabbal (4/5), Spicy Potato (salty 2/5), Tabbouleh (3.5/5), Grilled cheese rolls (2.5/5), tender veal (3/5), grilled baby chicken (-). The odd thing is that they got the tender veal with the appetizers which is not usually the norm in Lebanese restaurants, they also forgot to get us the baby chicken and grilled cheese rolls and I had to remind them. My appreciation goes to the manager who treated our complaint with a professional way.
Tried 'Ahwak' for dinner last night and I left feeling quite pleased.
We ordered the Hummus, Spicy Potatoes, Ahwak Kabab Platter and Taouk Platter.
The hummus was fine, pretty standard. The Spicy Potatoes were more salty than spicy but tasty nevertheless. The Kebab Platter was good, featuring 3 Lamb kebabs that were spiced and cooked well.
It was the Taouk Platter that took the cake. I'm not really a chicken breast guy, so I ordered the Kebab's, but for the first time, I wish I'd ordered the chicken. The most common complain I have with Taouk is that the meat is too dry. Chicken Breast is a tricky meat and if its not fresh or even slightly overcooked, you'll be left with shrivelled pieces of tough rubber. The Taouk at Ahwak was neither. The chicken was fresh and cooked to perfection resulting in probably one of the best Taouk's I've ever had.
The service was quick and friendly. As is the norm with BOXPARK, plenty outdoor seating and a terrace too. Parking is also easy if you're willing to walk a bit.
Although the seating is not a fancy one but the weather made it great to sit. The food was very good and the lemon mint shisha was very tasty. The service also was good. A nice place to enjoy in good weather.
Had dinner here. The restaurant has a very nice ambience and feel. The service is slightly hot and cold and the staff seemed a bit slow and confused even when the restaurant was only partially full. Food quality is very nice but portion sizes are on the smaller size and would leave a vast majority of people feeling unsatisfied. The veal dish left us really left as confused re it's composition as most of it is mashed potatoes and very little veal.
I had an opportunity to dine at Ahwak because of a voucher I received from BoxPark. I would have never considered going there otherwise. However, after dining there, my opinion has changed.
True ... that this is one of those Lebanese restaurants that serves the regular Arabic stuff ....kebabs and all. But you'll notice the difference in the taste and quality of the food. Firstly, its not oily. Secondly, you'll feel that you've just had a nice home-cooked meal.
We ordered a watermelon juice, Saute Shrimp, Tender Veal and Ahwak Kebab Platter. The juice and shrimps were the first to arrive along with a bread basket. I didn't have a lot of bread though, although the herb dip was pretty darn good. The juice was beautifully presented in a jar while the shrimps were fresh in a light tangy broth.
Veal and the Kebabs arrived soon after. What stood out was the veal. It was so tender and the gravy tasted like one of those gravies they pour over a steak. Kebabs weren't too bad. However, I've tasted better.
If you ask me whether I'd visited them again .... probably yes. The service is good, prices are reasonable and they've got "chicken liver" on their menu which I'm dying to try out.
Lebanese restaurant located in Box Park. As its winter in Dubai we decided to sit outside. Loved the ambiance, the huge cushioned seats are so comfortable. They have a roof top seating area as well plus sheesha. The interiors are lovely and as it was a weekday it was not crowded.
This is what we ordered:
(Cold Mezze)
•Hommos•
Thick paste made from boiled chickpeas and sesame lemon sauce. Loved it! The strong tingling lemon taste in it gave a unique delicious taste. It’s served with warm soft Arabic bread.
(Main Course)
•Taouk Platter•
This platter is good for one! It comes with 8 pieces of well marinated grilled chicken breast cubes, greens, grilled skinned potato and garlic sauce. The kebabs were very flavorful and delicious.
The presentation was good, friendly staff and delicious food. Thoroughly enjoyed my dinner 👍🏽TheFoodieMama

Good food and taste. Not unique but clean. The service is very good. Seatings are good with an option of outdoor seatings. The location is perfect.
The menu is not big and there are no varieties. They just provide normal and simple lebanese food like Arayes, Tawook, Mixed grill, kabab, hommos, fattoosh ....etc.
Worth to try their breakfast.
So lucky to have the new Lebanese brand in Dubai by Abdel al Wahab!!! Well decorated restaurant, very clean.. The food as always nothing to say but such a tempting menu. Staff are very friendly and helpful keep it up guyzz!!
In this winter season, one of the best places to visit if you want to relax with decent shisha, great food and fresh drinks!
Also has a wonderful ambience and reasonable prices!
Do order the strawberry mint lemonade! Amongst the best I have ever tried!
This is a really beautiful place
The food is delicious all through and the desserts are mouth watering especially the vanilla cotton candy dessert
The restaurant has a brilliant ambience design music
The staff are very welcoming very attentive
I highly recommend this place
Ahwak is an elegant lebanese restaurant, very nice location , ambiance and friendly staff, food is very delicious .I loved the whole experience :)
We had come to boxpark and narrowed down on this one.
The ambience is very nice and staff is good too.
We ordered a Soujouk. It was very flavorful and well done
We also ordered a Moutabel which came along with hot bread. The bread was fresh and fluffy.
To drink we had a Jellab. It was nice and sweet and was served in a tall glass but had to much ice.
The service is fast which is a plus point.
It is reasonably priced considering the ambience.
I'd like to mention that the reason I chose this Mocha Frappe as one of my first coffee review is because even the people at the restaurant don't know how good they make this Mocha Frappe and I would like for all of you to go try this place out.
It had the perfect blend of mocha in coffee, not too sweet (like a lot of places brew in Dubai) and the coffee beans on top just make the drink look so refreshing and delicious. I also had my usual GrapeMint Sheesha with coffee and the Sheesha wasn't that great as I expected it to be. They serve Sheesha upstairs in open only. The restaurant downstairs serves only food (no smoking area).
But I must say, this place has a friendly staff with an attentive store manager who made sure my Sheesha gets fixed every time I had an issue with it. So full points for that!
In my opinion, if you love mocha you gotta try this place out!
Let me know if you have been there and if you would like to add anything I missed! Tag your friends to go try this place.
4.5 for just that coffee!! 👌

I had a lovely experience there and we were very well received. The dessert we had is amazing. I am writing just to talk about it: ghazl l banet plus icecream. OUT OF THIS WORLD. huge portion though, we could not finish it. going there tonight!
Honestly..one of the best Lebanese restaurant I've been too. It reminded me with food I had when I visited Lebanon last time. I had maqanek, flafel, shawarma, taboule, homus, 3arayes and kebbe....yummy. Will go again for sure.
Great Lebanese place at box park. Their hummus is different and once u have it u can't get over the great creamy taste.
Their sheesha standards tends to vary but is generally good.
The fattoush is a star on their menu! The bread toasts are of whole grain bread and the dressing is one of the best.
I will recommend you try all their deserts, each one is better than the other! The portions are huge as well.
Their greatest quality is their staff - very friendly and helpful! I hosted a party there and they helped from decor to hosting.!!!
Love this place so far.. Good food and best service. I tried their cold appetisers tabolah and hummus and their hot potato. They get you hot fresh bread as well anytime you ask for. Their manager is always there and he makes sure he checks on your table.
Box park is new attraction these days , whole vicinity is filled with eatery joints..
lots of upcoming food outlets..
great place to hangout../ shisha/ etc.

Really attentive service and delicious mezze, both hot and cold. Generous portions and nice atmosphere. We sat outside and watched the world go by.
Good Arabic offering, very traditional Mezza with a wide selection of hot and cold.. I had baby chicken which was good value for money.. Friendly staff
Great place ! Good food! And superb service Marwa! The grill should not be missed and best seating outside. Nice ambience and a different place to have Arabic food. Worth a try!
the concept and decor is OK, but I really enjoyed their fattoush (one of the best I have ever had! and a generous quantity, their sauce is delicious!) their minted strawberry lemonade is also really good (so is their pomegranate juice)! We also had the grilled cheese rolls (good), their hummus potatoes, and moutabal are not the best I've had, Staff is friendly!
Nice restaurant with a nice view on Al wasl road. The food is average but the service is really nice and fast. Offers shisha on the top floor.
Very delicious lebanese food with nice shishaa.. Sojok plate mezza is a must? very friendly staff.. Special thanks to Youssef and Mustafa?
