I have tried many Chinese restaurants in UAE. But Shanghai Restaurant is an outstanding compared to others. The quality and quantity is amazing. My current favorite Chinese food restaurant/option so far. 🙂
Boutique restaurant. Indo-Chinese. Very well packaged combo meals. Been to this place for 15years, maintains same taste & flavour.
I really love their tapsilog. 😍 Friendly pa yung mga nakukuha nilang staff. 😊 Everytime Im hungry I just walk in to their restaurant and order food. Sometimes I will eat afternoon and keep on order for evening time pick up 😅 . I can eat their food for my whole day but the only problem is my budget. Hahaha! But their food is not that much expensive but its worthy 😊
I like this place very much for the food, I usually order the combo meal that's with fish chilly rice and cauliflower, also tried the beef chilly once.

Shanghai Kitchen is a gem hidden away in Satwa. I originally tried their food maybe some 15 years ago, and luckily got to try it again now. They've managed to keep a consistent flavor with super generous portion quantity. If you're looking for good food at affordable prices - Shanghai Kitchen is the way to go!!
Tried it for the first time as had come for some work to Al Hana center Satwa. Did a takeaway of Fish manchurian and hakka noodles. Honestly one of the best ive tried so far...Good prices too! Value for money

This is in the hidden gem category of zomato. They were in the top 40 among approx 1500 similar restaurants in Dubai.
Basically a mixed Nepali, Chinese, filipino , Indian restaurant. The chef is from Nepal.
It's pretty typical of a nepali restaurants in decor, style and approach. Many chinese lanterns hanging outside.
Inner decor is having many artifacts of Himalayan and chinese ancestry. Motif is red and bright. Pictures of food all around.
A homely cozy feeling is there inside. Specially the filipino lady is very polite and friendly and makes you feel at home immediately. She gives good suggestions also.
I wanted to have a mixed fried rice with something like a fish item but dryish.
They have half plates of almost everything and it's mentioned in the menu about the type of dish it is, like which is more popular and which is spicy, etc.
•My mixed fried rice was quite good, I had the spicy one which costs 2 dhs extra. Not really very spicy. At that price it's pretty good. 3.5/5. Half plate is enough for one person. Two spice bowls are served with the dish. I have not tried them as they looked to be very much hot in chilly. Will try them next time.
•Fish chilly half, dry, was very good. Soft and tender fresh fish cubes were battered and fried with some onion and chilli. 4/5. Price is 19dhs. Which is justified.
Good service. Friendly. Comforting place. And familar to me because of my familiarity with the milieu of Nepal and china.

5/5 for their Chicken Momos, I had the schezwan Rice and Noodle were like Bombay Taste - they are Nice spicy 🌶. It’s worth for the price. I got delivery in 24mins which was very great, momos very hot and warm.

The fried rice was quite good and so were the Singaporean noodles, both were half size and were just enough for one person. The chicken chilly was really good and so was the manchurian. Definitely worth your while if you're looking for a good and reasonable priced indo Chinese joint with amazing momos!
After living in Dubai for 15years and being a Momo-fan you pretty much know where to get the best. If you are a dumpling fan look no further! Their momo's are the best in town which come with a very unique sauce which is traditional to Nepal. Best way to enjoy is to dine-in when they are served steaming hot. Love their momo's and team is very courteous too.
A small hole in the wall joint hidden in the side lanes of satwa/mankhool. But the food quality is quite good. Its not 100 percent authentic chinese, somewhat a fusion, but the flavor and quality of food is indeed impressive. Also their service is very good!
Ordered lunch from here a few times! The spring rolls are amazing!!!! The shanghai chicken was very tasty and the fried rice was done just right. Portion wise it is a bit tiny but not bad. Delivery is on point, no issues.
This was a home delivery order, received a call from the restaurant from a very polite lady to confirm location, food arrived v quickly, was warm.
Ordered drums of heaven and chicken Hakka noodles... Loved the Drums of heaven, was a bit disappointed as it didn't come with schezwan sauce, there was an additional charge of 4aed for that, noodles were okay...Overall good food that's reasonably priced.

The food was amazing and on top of this I really have to write a comment on the waitress who served us, she is a philippino lady who always had a smile on her face and her enthusiasm towards her job is palapable! Even the owner was pleasant in her own way. Overall it was a wonderful experience.

Got my food delivered at work, from here, quite often. My absolute favorite is their mixed shezwan fried rice. It's so affordable and tasty! Also, unlike most restaurants, they don't get skimpy about their portions. The shrimp sizes are pretty good and not hard to find. Always satisfied when ordering from them!

Everything about the place, from the welcome to the final goodbye, is done well. A very professional yet friendly place. Menu choices were eclectic and far better than average.
The restaurant may be small in size for dine in. It may be located in an inner street. But the taste of the dishes prepared by this place deserves maximum score. This we say after experiencing consistent and regular home deliveries for over 12 years.
The menu is good with a wide variety of dishes and the owner is willing to prepare meals without MSG upon request.
On the vegetarian platter, the cauliflower Manchurian and all tofu dishes too the list. Friend rice have remained tasty and the quantity is more than ample.
With all these features customers are treated well by the owner and the entire team at all times. Their home delivery speed and efficiency is remarkable.

It is one of those hidden gems in Dubai. I was craving for good Chinese food and stumbled upon this place. Ordered the Shanghai Special Rice, the Chicken Manchurian and Chilli Beef (Extra Spicy, with soft beef and dry) and it was extraordinary. I had to go back for seconds and thirds and now I have lost count. Great Chinese food at great value. The owner is a very polite lady and very helpful with first timers.
Nice food for the price. The veggie momos where very delicious and filling was plentiful. The veggie combo was simple and tasty. Sent all the sauces which was a bonus as some forget. Overall nice quick hunger fix. And pleasant delivery driver.
We went for lunch here and the food was delicious! We ordered the hot and sour soup and chicken momos as starters. The soup was zesty and the momos were perfectly steamed. For the main course we shared a portion of chicken hakka noodles which was spiced up to our liking and it was paired with their specialty dish, the shanghai chicken. The noodles were succulent and eating the chicken seemed to transport us to a bustling street food counter in Shanghai!
They have very friendly staff that are quick to offer you what you need and we were even made to feel at home by the manager. Shanghai Kitchen is definitely a great choice to either have a quick bite to eat or to leisurely enjoy the tastes of the orient. Would definitely come back again!
One of those small restaurants that's tucked away in a corner where in you can just pop in for a quick takeaway food and rush home to catch up on your game of thrones TV marathon.
Food is good. Variety is indeed the spice of life and going by the menu, the choices are quite vast.

Delicious, great tasting food that's easy on the wallet.
The spring rolls and chicken wings were great starters but the star of the show were those momos.
Tender, juicy and full of flavour. That momo sauce that came along was so good that I shamelessly asked for it to be refilled 3 times. Which they did it without any fuss or any extra charge. So it's safe to say their service is friendly and easy going.
Will definitely be going back for more momos and that momo sauce too!
I love this place! I order from here probably about once a month or so and it always is top notch.
I generally get the same thing every time I order but the Mrs normally mixes it up and she always says she has a great meal no matter what she orders (normally a prawn or chicken dish)
I tend to get the chicken spring rolls (I'd still go as far as saying I've not had many better here in Dubai). And then for main I get the Honey and Red Chilli Chicken with an egg fried rice. Always packed full of flavour and always a winner in my book.

Shanghai Kitchen, a small Chinese restaurant which I and my wife randomly hopped in on a very tiring Friday. After doing some selecting-rejecting business we settled down with the one above. As soon as we entered the first thing that caught our attention was, the place is too small (5tables) with only one staff!! After gathering all the courage to sit, we finally decided to have a look at menu and order.
We ordered hot-n-sour soup with Singapore rice and Shanghai chicken dry (a must try). The waiting time was all the more killing us reason we were hungry as well as not sure how the food might taste?
But to our surprise, the thoughts that were killing us proved us wrong and the food turned out to be deliciously yummy... Happy to add this to the list of one of our favorite Chinese restaurant :)
Soup is something I will not suggest as we have tried all different types of soups but non pleasing, the rice, starters, appetizers are worth every spend (reasonable price)
Don't worry about the space though it is small and not spacious but it's not very crowded and you can enjoy the meal peacefully.
The only reason I am not giving it a 5star is coz of the space, the soup and the parking🙄 otherwise those looking for not so authentic taste will definitely enjoy the food like we do... Try once and you will want to try again :)

It's a few minutes away from my place and am so glad I found this place four years back when we moved in to our new house..from then to now it's been our favourite Chinese restaurant whether it's a meal for four or even a gathering of fifty people at my place they have never disappointed us with their food , service or quality..we always do a take away or order and they are quick with their deliveries and now they have become extremely popular with my set of friends..and they always look at improving like their latest addition of momos are delicious aswell..keep up the good work !!
Went there on recommendation from one of our friends. Quite a vast range of dishes on the menu. We were encouraged to try out the momos as our starters. That followed with some spicy haka noodles , chicken garlic sauce and crispy beef chilli. For me, the beef dish stole the show. The dry, spicy chilli beef well tossed with some szchewan sauce was a clear winner.
If you're after grand ambiance, decor and expensive crockery then look elsewhere. But good, proper chinese food in a casual environment that's easy on your wallet is what you're after then give this one a go!!

We were in mood for some takeaway Chinese so we decided to try out here.
Those momos and the spicy tomato/sesame chutney that comes along are absolutely amazing! Upon asking it turns out they are made fresh at the premise itself. Also try out their Roast chicken with plum sauce. That roasted chicken covered in that sweet, tangy sauce was really good. And it goes well with some chicken fried rice and some pan fried haka noodles. We also did order some Drums of heaven but I cant speak much about them as my friends polished it off before I even got a chance to try out a piece. Servings are generous and price reasonable. Definitely worth a try. Highly Recommended!
Chinese food with a mild tangy spicy feel is what I got from this place. Easy on your pocket, relaxed with friends and conversations this one is a no brainer on days where you would like to dress down and have a plain sailing time. The dishes are elementary, service middle of the road. Go if your in the area and feel like guzzling in some Chinese soup.
We ordered Hot&sour soup, sweet corn chicken soup and schezwan noodles with chicken. The hot & sour soup was good as it had a really lasting taste to it. The sweet corn chicken soup was average as i felt it was too thick and didnt have a strong flavour to it. The schezwan noodles were delicious since it was tossed well into the sauce and the chicken pieces were tender! Will order from here more often!
Their shanghai chicken dish is spot on! The flavors are spicy and extremely delicious. Pair it up with veg hakka noodles and it makes a perfect indo-chinese meal!
The food is generally quite tasty. I especially like their fried eggplant and spicy potato. However I recommend avoiding their soups as I found them quite bland.

Was in a mood for indochineese..brushed through zomato nd found shanghai...but was double minded in ordering from here cz most of the restaurant around satwa which we tried has nt been upto the mark...still aftr reading all the reviews thought of giving it a shot....orderd manchow soup,chickn dumpling,hakka noodles,schezwan friedrice,beef with mushroom &bamboo,fish chilli and chicken sizzlers.....all turned out to be good and fresh...just that the sizzlers wt we usually expect lik with fries nd vegies etc wasnt lik tt..it was jst lik a curry bt as i knw frm chineese rest whn sizzlers is askd fr this is hw we get...and coming to the delievry part...orderd via online...and the food arrived exact the time that they specified...overall shanghai kitchen we love u....make sure u guys dont put the ratings down by the same in future as hw most of the restaurants do after they get good ratings...thank u soo mch:)

as parking could be a problem we had it takeaway. the food was really good, Manchurian chicken and drums of heaven were good. although drums of heaven would be better if had right away so they are crisp.

A true hidden gem, this is not a fancy restaurant. but it serves good Chinese food.
Right next to Union Coop in JAfliya, you cannot miss the Union Coop.
The drums of heaven for starters were great, and for main course we had prawn combo which was pretty reasonable and tasted good. We also had the mixed hakka noodles and Manchurian.
Overall was very satisfied with my meal

Recommendations: Hot and Sour Wanton Soup and Fish with Garlic Sauce.
The quality and portion of serving are satisfactory! Definitely we'll be back there to try some other dishes as they have a wide selection from their menu. Next time will check from the duck and prawn selections and the 'momo' that everyone else has ordered. Then for sure I would have to update my food recommendation : )
