From the start to the end of the meal, the service was excellent. I ordered their Cheesecake french toast, brekky board, avo toast with poach eggs, chai latte and apple elderflower iced tea! All of the dishes were delicious! Definitely coming back here. Order extra bacon, they are extra delicious and portions are generous.

Absolutely love the feel and vibe of this place. We were here on a Saturday afternoon and the place was packed, of course with social distancing.
Loved the interiors and food however the staff aren't too aware of the ingredients in the dishes and that was important given that my husband is intolerant to gluten. They did try and get the information from the kitchen though however were simply reading out of the packets.
We started the meal with a Gluten free brownie. This is a way of life that I plan to introduce into my eating pattern and am told it definitely healthier than having a dessert at the end of the meal. The Brownie has a perfect texture in spite of being gluten free.
In the drinks we had the Immunity Glow, a much needed refresher for a hot sunny afternoon. It is a great blend of Mango, Passion fruit and Goji berries.
My love for the Asian cuisine and I could not resist but call for the Oh' Satay Chicken Salad. With fresh sprouts, mixed cabbage, mixed greens these marinated chicken skewers were tender and went very well with the satay sauce and peanut dressing.
A meal is incomplete without fries when on the menu and we called for a portion of Sweet Potato fries. Well done, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, these were simply brilliant.
Another favorite of mine is seafood and my heart was on the Maple and Walnut crusted Salmon. This chunky piece of salmon on a bed of pesto couscous and topped with caramelized walnuts was scrumptious.
Amazing ambiance yum food and desert was 😋 we tried their ultimate brekky board, eggs Benedict and Mexican eggs everything was super delicious and the presentation is so good .. in the end we had their cheesecake French toast and it was sooooo good and melted in our mouth and it was so light .. over all it was a good experience would give 4.5/5

Happy to found a place that only got pretty interiors, great service , Insta worthy presentation but serves delicious food. Am I going again , Oo yes I am, I absolutely loved this place , I opted for açaí blow and my friend ordered French toast both tasted great.
The Eggs Benedict was a good hearty meal. The avocado purèe went well with it and the dish was presented beautifully.
This place is a gem! It can be crowded in the morning and we know why. Their breakfast is just amazing, whatever you decide to have will not disappoint. The staff is super friendly too.
I am a regular customer of Friends Avenue JLT branch because I love their food and their prices are pretty good too.
Decided to try out the Motor City branch whilst I was in the area. The food was exactly the same, the place is quite lively with a nice ambience, however this specific branch is very under staffed so service was extremely slow.
For me service is the most bottom in the list when reviewing a restaurant but this one I couldn't let go, on a Saturday afternoon the place was busy like every weekend and the restaurant was seriously understaffed.
Although the staff were nice and helpful, shout out to Kathleen for doing whatever she could to help us but the management really needs to look into hiring more people.
Apart from that I love this place, their overnight oats are to die for and their eggs are brilliant as well.
Stunning spot, well maintained design, you would love it from first look. Completely different from basic concept. Chicken wrap with some veggies melting, coffee quick soft and smooth,with no weird bitter taste. It’s wonderful to have this restaurant in motor city😍

We actually came here looking for what we thought was a separate restaurant called 'Melt Burger', but only found out that their burgers are one-in-the-same. So here is our thoughts:
Food:
Boos Burger - very melty cheese complimented a simply but well seasoned burger. The toppings all only enhanced the flavor within reason and made for a delicious dish.
Mushroom Swiss Burger - very similar, but with more timid cheese and a good addition of mushroom
Cookie - a drier cookie, but still pleasant
Service: everyone was nice
Ambiance: ok for a classic modern cafe feel
Bang for Buck: a bit expensive. I'm also very unhappy that they only had fancy water for sale at rediculous prices
I'm sure I'll be back for this food even though the restaurant could fix a few other aspects of their setup.
Absolutely love the food and decor in this place! My family and i went for a Friday lunch and sat at one of the bigger social tables. We ordered two of the delicious peanut butter acai bowls, the superfood salad and the beef sandwich with salty chips. The food always seems well priced especially for the portion sizes you are given. Unfortunately they do not serve local water (i thought there was a new law prohibiting this?!) and we had to pay 11dhs for a very small glass bottle of Italian imported water. Would definitely suggest you take your own water.
Cute cafe in Motor City. On a Wed afternoon it was busy with a mix of families and office workers.

Weekends are for fancy breakfasts. Nothing says 'hello me time' like a big plate of French toast on your table. The sugary, crispy and soft toast will melt in your mouth. Choice is yours whether you like it served with fruits, syrup or chocolate.

The ambiance of the place is really lively. We ordered Iced Latte and Eddleman & Rose Ice Tea. The service was amazing and the price is also very cheap.

If you live in the Motor city, sports city and du au land area then this place is a must go place for breakfast and lunch. Excellent healthy menu and a nice chilled out vibe to enjoy your meal (with or without the kids). They don’t have a kids menu so be sure before heading over to have a meal here.
nice place.... perhaps even a bit nicer than the JLT branch. Food was good and pretty big portions all around. I ordered the shakshouka which was one of the better ones I have had in Dubai. Staff was attentive and friendly. I will come again.
I ordered the matcha latte and poached eggs with sourdough. It was simple, but excellent, sometimes that’s the best. Overall Friend’s Avenue has a good menu that has lots of healthy options, which is a big plus.
Have you visited this cushy Friends Avenue Cafe in the Motor City neighbourhood, yet? I love the interior design; its bizarre and rustic New York style concept. You can wallow in the stillness and serenity. Fairly modest cafe and a good menu with some impressive twists. Well sourced ingredients, thoroughly prepared and presented.
Great food but terrible terrible service. First you have to call the servers to come give you the menu, then chase them to order, then chase them to clean your table and get the food and finally keep waving at them to bring you the bill.
Not once but similar experience all the times.
Keeping service aside, their milkshakes and French toast is to die for.
This is just such a fun and cozy place to hang out for breakfast or just chill in the afternoon. They have good food with bold flavors. It’s definitely a place that will become a regular breakfast spot for my husband and I.

Overall experience: I always come back for this place, either this branch or the one in JLT. Like the vibe and the coffee. However, on weekends could get really crowded and therefore noisy but overall all good, it's normal.
I love the vegan/vegetarian options. The raw coffee and the staff super friendly. I have it a 4 and not 5 because something about the seating isn't too comfy for a cafe. Otherwise beautiful environment and very cool concept
Great casual brunch spot in Motor City area, especially for a weekend. There is some outdoor seating. Breakfast is served until 3 pm, and they have traditional items as well as creative spins on breakfast using local ingredients and flavors.

We're on a quest to find out where the best burgers in Dubai are...I found the Melt Burger Company via Instagram and made a mental note to try it out and I'm so glad I did, I was not disappointed!
Burgers we tried:
The Flying Chicken burger - Crispy, flavourful, messy burger; the chicken was amazingly tender.
The Roadhouse Burger - Apparently a customer favourite, and I see why...The beef patty was so well cooked, the cheese melted in the beef, omg literally everything melts in your mouth! Very hearty, very filling, very enjoyable. A win from me!
Dragon Fire Burger - This burger is a perfect size just the right amount of filling it's spicy to boot! Not too heavy and great for lunch. A must if you love a bit of spice...
The Handyman - Again a burger with a nice amount of filling, it was laced with a secret sauce was a nice touch...wonder what it is...
The burgers were freshly made and when we received them it was quite oily, probably wasn't drained properly...this didn't affect the taste though so I'm happy.
The food is great. I love the decor of the restaurant, minimal yet quirky. They have books all over the place and an old school polaroid (gutted that it didn't work but great to take pictures of). A busy cafe with a variety of options for each meal. I enjoyed a great granola breakfast with fresh fruit and yoghurt. Very satisfying and a fantastic place to catch up with friends for a quick coffee or bite to eat. Looking forward to my next visit.

Have visited Friends Avenue a couple of times , once for cake and coffee and the other time for breakfast. Enjoyed both time , portions were huge and food was great. Only complaint was the AC was too high :)

Friends’ Avenue Café in The Ribbon, Motor City is the second installation of this Tom&Serg meets Limetree Café concept, the first being in Cluster T, JLT. Sandwiched between Nando’s and Papa Jones, the small Friends’ sign is easily missed. Inside you’re greeted with the same laid-back, minimalist look-feel that is so much the rage with European cafés and bistros these days; painted over brick walls, grey epoxy floors, painted ceilings with exposed ducting, and wall matching paned windows. Although a little overused these days, it’s the recipe for instant cosy.
It's a great place to come in a sunny afternoon and get some work done. They have really cute interiors and the ambience looks really fresh. The food here is pretty good as well.

Tricolor eggs Benedict - This dish that my colleague ordered was very freshly made and also really healthy. Right amount of yolk and vegetables to go with it. Very colourful dish and I highly recommend getting this.
Insanity burger - This one's not for those who don't like a messy meal. It's a tall burger filled with flavour. The beef patty was so well cooked.
Chicken meets bacon sandwich - This dish is perfect for your not so heavy afternoon lunch meal. It's not too filling and not too heavy and has your favourite stuff in it. BACON!
The food is great. Ambience is great. Services is great.
The best breakfast place in this side of Dubai. I love their both branches, one in JLT and new one in Motor City. By the way, Weekends get very busy, so be ready to wait in the queue to get a table.

I have been there with my brother for dinner and dinner was perfect , staff has excellent knowledge about menu what they are serving. Moreover staff very friendly ! Food just melting on your mouth , quality and taste at high level as possible !

I’m not really a huge fan of sweet stuff. But I changed my mind after trying the French toast. It’s just perfection, not too sweet - just the way it should be made.
I always visit this cafe for putting my sweet craving to an end with the French toast.
A nice little place that's alive and fresh. There are books you can read and a foosball table you can play while you wait for your order.
The spinach and mushroom linguine was very fresh and the flavor combinations were weird but delicious. The carrot wake was okay but has a nice twist with the pistachios. My absolute favourite was their cold brew that got me hooked to the place.

I like this place and I tried it many time. The food is healthy and has alot of option and taste but they have a habit that's funny for me that they write in the ingredients in a salad that there's kale and avocado and all you get is like half a leaf of kale and 2 tiny pieces of avocado so comparing to the price it should be a bit more than one leaf but all is good :)
Very good place.. it is really friendly and comfortable place.. Quite, with good view.. The coffee is great and the breakfast are very good and delicious, the Benedict are great and the french toast as well.

The quality of food here is superb (although a bit limited in food options). Nevertheless, what makes them stand out is their own twist of ingredients ...
My favourite example is the slow cooked lamb with kale and quinoa. The combination of sweet and sour was so delicious ... it had beet root pure as a base topped with kale, lamb and labnah! You can refer to the attached picture (excuse the sweet potato fries ... that's my addition).
Now let's talk about the sea bass! It's definitely not a light meal as they add cream, mashed potatoes and giant white beans ....but it's so tasty! I wasn't able to finish my plate as the portions in general are big.
The chicken satay is not a bad choice if you don't want to eat too much and you want a healthier option. (Just make sure you replace the French fries with a salad as your side dish)😝 The chicken though was a bit dry and plain but it's a grilled meal so makes sense. You have the peanut butter dip to add some more flavour. I wouldn't order it again because they have so many other meals worth trying that are a lot tastier.
Ambience wise, a big thumbs up 👍🏻 It's small, cosy and great if you wish to work there. (I have seen a few people take their lap top) It tends to be quiet and with excellent service.

Busy hipster joint near Spinneys. Perfectly located and nicely designed. I can picture myself escaping to this place with my journal, nursing a cup of coffee. Loved the breakfast board, which I shared with my best friend. Poached eggs, veggies, chorizo and sourdough bread. We also had the French toast, which turned out to be a gigantic plate of pillowy warm bread topped with creamy and fruity goodness. More affordable than other places of this caliber. That's definitely a big plus.

Have been here so many times and it's never let me down. Love the interior, the service and the food. The staff are super friendly and always welcome you with a smile and happy demeanour. The coffee is excellent, I especially love that they have the brewed coffee with a free refill option as I love my coffee and one cup is never enough! The waffles are some of the best I have ever tasted and the eggs are always cooked to perfection. They also have plenty of healthier options too so if you don't eat bread they offer gluten free or even rye bread as a substitute. I'm yet to try anything outside the breakfast section but I am sure that will happen at some point in the near future.

We ordered from Friend's Avenue on Deliveroo today and we were pretty happy with the food. The food was delivered quickly and was still warm. Very flavourful. The only qualm I have, is that the potato wedges, while they were absolute delicious, were a little undercooked. Perhaps it was the size of the wedges that caused that. We also ordered a juice which was fab.
Best breakfast option by far in motor city. Lovely cozy cheerful ambience.. Regarding food: The French brioche toast is truly divine !. The Eggs Benedict comes with fresh delicious vegges, one for the health freaks! For drinks, we tried the ice latte and the salt caramel milkshake both of which were great. The service was good although the food took time, but it's all very fresh so worth the wait. Overall definitely worth checking out!
Good food but they really need to do something about service. Everyone I go they seem to be understaffed and food comes very late. Pretty sure failure to correct will result in less return customers.
We went for a simple, relaxing moment after dinner, so only had tea and detox juice. First time in Dubai we got greeted by "How was your day". Very relaxed And friendly. Good spot I imagine for a breakfast or working/studying, or chill with friends around the babyfood and books. Nice addition to Motor City
If you want to have the best French toast in Dubai, this is where you are supposed to be... The ice cream taste is yummy without being overpowering and berries add to the taste.
I ordered chicken thigh thymes with a hint of garlic butter served with potato wedges so juicy and melting in the mouth, perfect for lunch.
Interior is to the point with snow-white painted walls and vintage decorations hanging from all around.
Since the cafe is located in Motor City I was not expecting too much footfall but I was amazed to see the people visiting without any break..
I want to go this place again n again...
With several books to browse, some fantastic coffee and some healthy food options, this cafe is the perfect kid-friendly, post-gym hangout spot!
We had:
-Tricolour Eggs Benedict: fantastic taste, with lots of different and unique flavours! The avocado purée was a standalone favourite. Top points for presentation.
-Thyme and Garlic Butter Chicken Thighs: with a lemony twist. I felt like the chicken needed a biiit more time on the heat.
-Truffle Fries: tasted better, but nothing to complain about.
-Not just a French Toast: too full to continue our meal, we got this as a takeaway. Not to be missed, divinely delicious!
-Salted Caramel Milkshake: no words. If you have a sweet tooth, go for this. Rich and satisfying.
-Green Juice: with a perfect notch of ginger, an excellent mood booster!
Went for breakfast, we had the kale salad w poached egg, was good but not special and the cut board with sausage mushrooms eggs...
Nothing special, the mushrooms should be more tasty and sautéed properly, the asparagus wasn't grilled properly too. The eggs very yummy but small, so service should inform about that.
The place is cute and cozy.
Good space for work or quick breakfast / lunch.
Coffee could be better.... maybe the machine or the way the barista was doing the coffee was not the right way.

Love the ambiance here: very spacious and bright place with friendly and welcoming staff. I ordered the lamb with kale- was a blast. This dish completely changed my opinion about lamb and kale :) looking forward to have it again.
This will be my new favorite brekkie spot! As long as they keep up the good work! I had a flat white and a green smoothie, both were great! And the green brekkie bowl - I want to eat this everyday! Loves this place!
