The mozzarella filled chicken is one of the best arabic dish i have had in ages. Even though it might look like it is enough for one. At least 2 people should be consuming it in order to complete the meal. Yummy Egyptian rice and chicken. Quickly served and attentive staffs. I would suggest they improve their interior decor as it looks just like any average restaurant and not one like the others in box park. But on the whole, an exceptional dining experience.
ملك الاكل المصري الاصيييل شي جميييييل و رائع الاكل والضيافة رووووعة و الأجواء خيالية استوديو مصر الي في شارع الوصل رووح و ماتندم أبداً اكل ...
The food are highly tasty and delicious and the atmosphere is also nice
:)
The service is good, friendly staff and the prices are reasonable $$
Tucked away at BoxPark, Studio Masr is a little gem serving some of the best Egyptian/Arabic food. The ambience is pleasant and service friendly. We started off with the usual suspects - hummus, hummus with meat, arayes & chicken liver. These were preceded by freshly baked warm bread with labneh. The arayes had a distinct yet refreshingly crisp taste. Special mention for the hummus with meat- highly recommended. For mains we went all guns blazing with kaskhash kofta kebabs, bent el akaber (aka shish tawouk), ameer el intekam (mix grill of meat, koftas & chicken) and meat mansaf. The koftas were a delight- soft & juicy with herbs and veggies blended in well with the mince meat. Usually I avoid tawouks as the chicken tends to be bland and underdone, however what was served was tender and bursting with flavours. Simply amazing. The mansaf is done the Egyptian way and was reasonably good, but no way near the original Palestinian recipe. Our feast culminated with knafeh, however it took too long to be served and lacked the cream / cheesy flavour and was dry. I'd give it a miss. This does not take away anything from this marvellous restaurant. Highly recommended family feast. Have to return to try the shawayas!
Friendly restaurant from the Saif Belhasa group at the Box Park.
Ordered Leabet El Set with hummus as sides. Well made, decently spicy and appropriately served.
Manager was hospital and came down to check on in person.
The place is semi-fine dining which actually gives the impression that the restaurant is expensive when it's not. This complimented my growing love for egyptian cuisine being southeast asian. I loved the mixed grills and so did my guests. Basically everything I ordered was the experience, I came with 10 other friends of mine and will definitely come back the next time.
Always i go there to take Orzo Tagen with meat. . Its the only place who can make it that perfect.. And i like their Lentil Soup also its amazing..
Some of the best Middle Eastern food I’ve had in a very long time. Definitely a place that I will be visiting again very soon. Awesome stuff!
Very nice and cozy place. The atmosphere takes me back to Egypt with om kolthoum music playing and pictures of famous Egyptian actors hanging on the wall. Their food is delicious too. I would definitely come back again :)
First time visiting Studio Masr and it was just amazing! The food is very tasty, really high quality, and tastes like home cooked food!
Great value for money & they accept entertainer vouchers!
However the smell of the food was a little strong in the restaurant
Loved this place,
Would definitely come again!
Very nice environment and friendly staff..
the open kitchen is very good idea and give a sense of home..
The decoration of the restaurant is all about the old Egyptian movies..
The food are highly tasty and delicious.
A very nice place with a lot of good variety in their menu. The staff is friendly and the quality of the food is very good. They name each dish after a famous Egyptian movie and the value for price is excellent. I would very much recommend it
This place was a delightful experience. Had a pre-birthday feast here. The location is great!! They have indoor as well as outdoor seating. The server we had at first was unable to understand us very well but was very cooperative. We wanted to be seated outdoors, they have these cute colourful lanterns and they switched on coolers for us which definitely helped. However, we later had to shift inside after we spotted a cat nearby. The server politely shifted all our dishes inside.
Coming to the food. Most of it was superb!! We had the fattoush (fresh), hummus (why so little! HAHA), Studio Masr Shawaya (served on a beautiful oriental looking coal box) with Araees (the one dampener, because they were deep fried) and Atr el Nada which were basically chicken rolls (just couldn't have them, was so full). Wish they had refills for Coca Cola. But besides that, great evening. Oh a random traditional Emirati dance performance happened when we were there, right outside the restaurant. BOXPARK is definitely a must visit place.
Good food not so crowdy place and value for money. Tried their mixed sambousak, ameer el intekam, salma fe kheer and refilable soft beverages. I liked ameer el intekam most. One thing i did not like about the place is their interior. Service was good and fast.
Nice delicious food, very well priced, portions are very good, friendly staff... we ordered mixed grill dish and stuffed chicken, boTh were good, We will definitely comeback

We went for an authentic Egyptian feast: Ordered Mumbar, soup, Vine leaves, Baked Rice, pigeon and Egyptian Moloukhiya.
The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The food didn't take much time as the place wasn't that crowded.
We LOVED the Moloukhiya as well as the Mumbar; the next favorite was the Pigeon.
The baked rice tasted okay, yet it was kind of overcooked and mashed.
The total disappointment was the Vine Leaves: had a peculiar seasoning inside that i could barely taste any rice, and was quite heavy unlike the traditional Egyptian one.
Good efforts though. I will go again.
Lovely Egyptian food and the price is very reasonable. Friendly staff! I ordered mixed grill, the beef and chicken were tender like butter! Mixed appetizer was perfect, fresh baked bread.
Rich flavored fish grill served on the traditional bbq case and the juicy chicken grill.
The Om Ali was delicious too. A must try here.
Even the Nutella kunafa is a must try.
Loved the food! I couldn't believe the value I got for the food! The only small issue I had was that the waitress was lacking in product knowledge. Otherwise, if you like arabic food, I recommend you visit this place
Its my first time and i can say thats the best Egyptian restaurant in uae in terms of food and cleaness staff are friendly prices are very very reasonable i enjoyed eating here sure i will come again
This restaurant is hard to miss at the box park but giving it a shot was the best decision ever, thanks to my love affair with Arabic cuisine and the bustling crowd inside Studio Masr when other restaurants were practically empty! Photographs of Egyptian celebrities adorn the walls of the restaurant and I did read that this restaurant is named after the famous cinema studio masr in Egypt.
However the best part about this place is their food which will not let you down. We were served complimentary bread with two dips and I found the bread really interesting since it's not the traditional khubus we eat most of the time; the dips were good as well. We treated our growling tummies with tabbouleh, kashkhash kofta and shabab imraa. Loved the grills- the flavours were undeniably awesome! The quantities are huge too. Cannot wait to try the desserts and the specialty dishes listed on the menu. Service is good and prices are reasonable.
Excellent Egyptian Restaurant in Box Park. Well worth a visit.
Combo platter for starters, mixed grill and half grilled chicken for main course...no space for dessert!
Combo platter has a bit of all the favourites...some dips, salad and pastries. Mixed grill and half chicken were decent sized portions. Bonus...they even packed the food to go with some thought and care.
Friendly staff, decent portions of very tasty and fresh food = happy customers. My Good Value Rating is marked down to 4.5 because I didn't try the dessert. Highly recommended.
Good value for money and the food is delicious. We had a hummus, fattoush, chicken tajeen and sish tawook and really enjoyed them all. Generous serving sizes meant we now have lunch tomorrow.
Hello Readers, I have discovered an amazing location @Dubai called “BOXPARK” on Al Wasl Road and I totally loved the place. I stopped by Studio Masr with my Egyptian colleague to explore their cuisine and she mentioned to me that each dish in the menu is based on a name of the greatest Egyptian movies of all time. Being a huge fan of world cinema, I found out that Studio Masr is a leading Egyptian movie-production studio in the golden era of the Egyptian cinema & has been revived into a casual dining restaurant with emphasis on cinema. Some of the dishes have been inspired by well known movies and reflect the names of the historic films produced by Studio Masr. The Mediterranean grill offers the most recognized dishes and collective flavors from Egypt, Lebanon, and Jordan.
I wanted to try out a new restaurant in boxpark with Arabic cuisine and had heard a quite a bit about Studio Masr and hence decided to give it a try with a friend of mine. I was welcomed by the staff. We chose to sit outside for a change. The service was quite fast and had quite a lot of dishes on the menu. I ordered the grilled platter x 2 for the both of us as 1 platter is good enough for one person only. It comprised of chicken breast, haraes, 1 chops and a mix of chicken and mutton kebabs. The meat was tender however it didnt have the best flavour possible. The kebabs and the chicken was good although one of them was really chewy and hard to eat. We also ordered the hummus bairooti with pine nuts. It was a treat to have with fresh bread although, hummus never really has chilly in it surprisingly, this one did. Overall, the food was not bad and the ambience was moderate too.
Came across the place while checking out restaurants on and plannned it during weekend. the experience was good and the food good. We had the Had been there during the weekend.. The Arabic pita bread were seame seed and homos was yum as always..(fond of hommos) we had tried out mixed grill and chicken mansaf for the first time which was very different yet tasty whch comprised of rice with yogurt, chicken pcs n pine nuts.
Visited this place @ Box Park with my family for dinner based on the recommendation from friends. This place is name after a studio in Egypt. Staff is very courteous and well mannered.
We were served with complimentary Arabic bread upon arrival. Bread was served hot and very soft. We ordered for cold salads Fatoosh ,taboula and hammus, all were awesome and quantity was good enough for a family.
On main course we had Chicken grill shawaya which was served with Veges and and stuffed bread. Chicken was cooked to perfection and very juicy. If you are around Box Park and wanting for Arabic food, this is a place to go for.
Over all the food was good we ordered the mixed grill and chops were very good. we ordered chicken liver stater which turned up bad for us. appetizer platter is very good you can mix and match. Shrimp Freekoto Tagen is a must try..
Studio Masr is a hidden gem!
Their Bent El Akaber or Shish Tawook is my favorite and the best in Dubai!! The chicken is succulent and the fries are amazing!
The service is prompt and prices are very reasonable.

I had a very nice dinner yesterday in Studio Masr. The service was great, food quality was fabulous, portions were very sufficient, our orders was on the table in a very reasonable time, and the atmosphere was very friendly.
Excellent food and atmosphere friendly staff money well spend. Food was delicious very well cooked serving was more than enough. Love to come again with friends and family. Recommend to anyone who likes Arabic food especially BBQ.
I've been to Studio Masr at least 3 times. The place is mall-style casual. Food is decent but not wow. Portions can be too big. Tried their grills (Egyptian kofta, sea food grills) and it was fine. Chicken fatteh was too oily and heavy. Average salads & appetisers.
أكل متوسط الجودة. مشاوي لحم وبحرية جيده، فتة الدجاج ثقيله وفيها دهن زياده. السلطات والمقبلات متوسطه
Today I had zero plans for a good lunch, infact I insisted me and Karima Alid should head to McDonald's to have some junk food which I do crave sometimes. Hmm actually quite often. Anyway, Karima said lets try Studio Masr and of course being an Egyptian, I was like open the menu. We checked it on Zomato, the menu was really different from all Egyptian restaurants around here. If you are Egyptian you will get why this one is a little gem. Other Egyptian restaurants around here serve great food dont get me wrong, but they aren't super authentic as this one. This restaurant serves Tawajen pigeons and Besara!! My Mama!!
Anyway we went for more than the usual because I planned to take alot for take away. We tried the Besara, tajen waraq enab, tajen hamam, tajen mesakaaa, mombar, mulukhia. Very very very reasonably priced. Must visit.
If you want an Arab Cuisine this is the best restaurant. It is an Egyptian restaurant which has the best lentil soup, combo appetizer and mix grill in Dubai.
I had a very nice dinner yesterday in Studio Masr. It's simply the best Egyptian cuisine in Dubai so far. The service was great, food quality was fabulous, portions were very sufficient, our orders was on the table in a very reasonable time, and the atmosphere was very friendly. Even my kids like their orders so much.
I truly recommend this restaurant to all Egyptian food lovers.
Nice authentic Egyptian cuisine..they don't have "Kushari" though..it's known for its grilled food (beef..chicken..seafood)
But every thing else is there starting from the nicely presented starters [combo appetizer]..
to the rice and cheese [freekoto]..(almost like a risotto) .
Tagen Selection.
the mixed grills..
Tasty food with good prices, fattoush salad is my favourite salad, mombar for the appetizer
Grills and chicken mansaf are really delicious.always love their food and service
One of the most locations I regularly prefer to have dinner in. Their mix grill soft and juicy. Excellent customer service. Space inside is limited specially in summer.
Studio Masr is the branch of a restaurant in Egypt. We went there and tried out the Shawaya Chicken Grill.
Now the good thing is that its served on a grill so the food is always hot.. its a good joint and serves good food.
The reason I'm scoring lesser is.. I was in Cairo for a month recently and the quality and flavours I experienced in the Egyptian food is far far superior to what Studio Masr served here.
For egyptian standards this is an average restaurant. However, the hospitality is typically egyptian -cordial, friendly and very welcoming.
This Egyptian restaurant is average. The brand name and mood is very authentic and there is a good variety in their menu. Recommendation: Average try
Studio Masr is a well known chain in Egypt that opened in Dubai less than two years ago starting in Box Park. I went today craving food that can be closest thing to egyptian homemade i can get my hands on.
I ordered mombar, sujuk with garlic and lemon and cheese sambosak for starters. All three were delicious!
For main course we had fattah with meat, rice tajen and molokheya. Also, so good except for the fattah which I felt needed more garlic.
It's a small shop with old movie posters and old arabic songs playing made me feel back in Egypt ❤️
Ambiance: 3.5/5
Service: 5/5
Food: 3.5/5
Value for money: 4/5

Great atmosphere, food was tasty as well. Ordered the combo appetiser, good value and good portion. Got the meat grill for mains, slightly over priced for the amount it is for nevertheless taste was superb.
Finally agood egyptian restraurant in dubai, we had iftar there very good food with reasonable prices ,descent manager , nice and hard working waiters and it was nice to play traditional ramadan songs the whole experience was great, thank you.
It was an unplanned visit, and we happened to enter this place because we were in a hurry to break our fast.
The best thing about this place is the satisfying quantity they give for the best price! The staff was really good and kind. The meat is cooked well, and has the authentic taste.
Pls reserve your tables as we were forced to sit outside because we didn't
Will definitely go again
Am itching to give you a 4.75 rating ! What delicious food! I felt like Nefertiti enjoying a feast spread out before me😋 Early weekend dinner today. Ordered their starter combo, meat grill and pigeon stuffed with Freaka. The appetizers had some yummy delicacies like hummus, liver, tabouleh, fatayer and kubeh. I bet this is the best I've ever tasted since my UAE days. The pigeon and Freaka were good and the grill served on hot coals was just cooked right with flavor. Dessert was the cream with honey dates pistachios and it was heavenly. Service was spot on and the ambience just classy. I strongly recommend this place and you will return for more! Good job Studio Masr 👏🏻

Nice food tasty and delicious good service but the place is small and outdoor area will not fit during summer worth to visit and enjoy the food
Excellent quality. Excellent service. Friendly staff
I orderd a chicken mansaff and it was amazing. I highly recommend this Palace. Try the fatoush
Summary
Food: very authentic and good Egyptian food
Service: very good
Price: excellent for the portion size
Overall: defiantly recommend it! I would rate it a 4.75!
So the order was the mezze platter meat fattah/mansaf, frekko chicken with cheese and a mixed grill
The portion sizes are good enough for 3 really. And the flavours are simple yet authentic. I really enjoyed it!
The mixed grill wast too great but I think the ones on the coal boxes may be better, will give it a try next time.
The service was also very quick attentive and good. The ambiance is also quite nice and in winter sitting outside would be great.
Overall I had a great experience. Only thing is stick to the authentic Egyptian dishes!
First time to be here, nice ambience. Food is tasty from mixed appetizer, pasta, soup, fresh fattoush to the concept of serving the mixed grill. Staff are so kind as well. Nice place to visit again
Was recommended by an Egyptian friend. Tried it and liked it. We ordered some appetizers, a Tagine (freeka) and meat Shawaya....the freeka with mushrooms was awesome..the Shawaya (see pics) is essentially fancy grill dish....not bad either.
Besides we went to the Dubai Boxpark outlet....great ambience there !!
Overall an excellent experience!
Amazing restaurant in an amazing place and amazing prices on their menu! It's a lot cheaper than the ones around box park.
We had fatoush and it is so tasty. The studio masr grill shawaya is served on a box with coal underneath to keep the meat hot. The meat are tasty as if they have been marinated but somehow it is dry but because they are already tasty made us forget about it.
Staff are attentive and will come back to try another dish.
The best shish tawuk :) the best egyptian food ever with Fairiouz and Ummu Kulthum. . I love this place :) good service, nice place. I will come back :)
Hands down the best fatoush and shish tawook I have ever had. I know its not an Egyptian specialty, but I wanted to see how these guys fared in my familiar territory. Simply amazing food! And above all you dont have to spend a fortune to have a decent quality meal unlike many pretenders out there! Keep up the good work and the quality dear friends and rest assured u have won a very loyal customer :)
Atmosphere is very good, the food taste is ok but can be better
I am sitting here and expecting some old time egyptian song such Um Kulthoom or AbdulHaleem etc.. but none of that...actually all of a sudden.. music started playing lol
sitting area inside is nice and simple in addition toba sitting area outside which i would greatly recomend in better weather cobditions
still waiting for the food...
lovely humos!!
food is delicious
The best egyptian food ever with the best set up!!! We always have a visit once a month to Studio Masr and it has always been an absolute delight!!!! They have a wide range of food choices and every tastes better than the other!! Absolutely recommend it , pricing is suitable and quantity of food is big too!
I would highly recommend the dishes in the pictures specially the mansaf which is certainly delicious!
Fantastic little eatery at Box park which totally took hubby and I by surprise. Being total Zomato buffs means trolling through restaurant reviews to find the perfect lunch/ dinner venue and that's how we came across this gem. We were greeted by a very cheery waiter who showed to us to a nice table in the outdoor seating area. We started with hummus, besara and fattoush. We tried the besara for the first time and it was super creamy and delicious, made of green beans. The fattoush had just the right balance of pomegranate molasses and summac and tasted absolutely fresh and delicious. The waiter gave us a bread basket full of home baked goodness- not the usual Arabic bread that you get at Lebanese restaurants and a bowl of green and black olives. For mains we ordered the siyadya fish tajen which was outstanding! I mean finger lickingly good. Flaked fish mixed with fragrant spiced rice. Drool worthy. Omg you have to visit if you've read through this review. Can't wait to go back and try their signature grill. Special shout out to the staff and manager who ensured we were well looked after.
It is one of the few places in Dubai that provide quality Egyptian cousin with a good price.
The complementary bread and cheese and pickles are amazing, mix grill is beautiful but as a meal contains less meat and more oriental rice and French fries.
The ambience is amazing and the good thing is that you can set inside or outside which is supreme in such whether, the good thing they don't have shisha.
If you like arabic food its a must go. The offer welcome bread which is very different from what I've had before in arabic restaurants......
The food was so alluring, I was left asking for more.
There is a wide choice in the food items and they all seem too confusing if you aren't from this part of the world.
Ultimately we shortlisted a few and asked the waiter to suggest which of those is a better option.
He suggested the Okra with Meat Tagen served with white rice.
The dish looked very tempting. The meat was really well cooked. The okra tasted good at the same time the flavours weren't over-powering.
It is semi dry and tastes good with the (sticky) white rice served along with it.
The side dish which we ordered was Rice Siyadiya.
It is fat maroon rice. If you are a fan of rice you'll be delighted to have it as just the rice itself tastes so great. It is a bit dry, but something which I personally liked a lot (would seem a bit dry if you have just the rice though, so it is better with a gravy dish).
The service was impressive as well. There was an egyptian guy who was serving us. Whether it was taking the order, suggesting the food, getting the food or asking if we liked it, he did it all with a smile.
We later had a turkish coffee. He had specially made it for us the egyptian way but we didn't quite like it all that much. When we gave the feedback he took it with a smile and said that next time he'd be glad to make us the regular way.
The ambience seems so relaxed and makes you want to sit there for long. Inspite of it being a saturday night it wasn't all that crowded either.
Oh and by the way, I also found it a bit on the reasonable side compared to other restaurants in boxpark.
Would definitely recommend this place. This studio is a must.
Having read several positive reviews about this place I felt a visit to get a first hand experience myself was definitely necessary. Boxpark has quite a lot of good places to choose from so as a restaurant I suppose your food and the service has to be pretty good for you to survive. Studio Masr is a place where the food is pretty good and the service (especially yesterday) was excellent. We had the combo appetizer which was really good.. Each of the dips and the hot appetizers were jus perfect. We then ordered a mixed grill platter which was served on box with coal beneath. This too was quite nice though is not say the best I've had. Nevertheless on an overall level this restaurant definitely get a thumbs up and goes on to the list of places that can be visited again.
Really delicious

Once during a late night weekend walk at the box Park we had our dinner here since most of the other restaurants were quite full and turned out that it was this experience. For starters we had ordered a combo appetizer and a hawashi, for main course a chicken mansaf along with chicken grill shawaya and finally at the end for drinks a mango fresh juice, lemon with mint tea and a masr cocktail. The food was ready really tasty even though the quantity was not a lot. It's exterior had fix ambiance which made perfect to have a outdoor dinner during winter. Towards the end we got 30% Emirates Airline staff discount.
Our visit started off a bit shaky. We were not given an outside table even though there were vacant tables. No one came to take our order while the table next to us was served on time.
After us arguing a bit, we were shifted to an outside table. They started us off with some fresh bread which was warm and delicious and not the standard bread you get. The salads and the lamb kebabs were very good. The shish tawouk was average and not very well cooked.
Would I go back? Maybe. Probably for the bread and the kebabs.
Went today for dinner and they have authentic Egyptian food. Excellent quality, amazing taste and very good price. Highly recommended and they do delivery. We will be ordering regularly. The mixed grill was super delicious. The tagine is excellent.
An inviting Egyptian restaurant with a street view of Al Wasl Road. Plenty of indoor & outdoor seating. The food overall is good, as is the ambience. We tried the lentil soup, which was not to my taste. Maybe I am too accustomed to the traditional Lebanese lentil soup. It was more spiced than usual. We had the oregano & rocca salad and the combo appetizer - delicious. Very good garlic sauce and spinach fatayer. Decent veal & orzo tajen. Mixed grill was very fresh and juicy, specially the lamb chop and shish tawouk. It comes on a hot coal box. Their fresh bread is very unique and tasty. I would recommend a visit to this place at least once. Gaurav Ramchandani
The food is perfect. I can't wait to go back to try every single thing on their menu! The customer service was very professional. The only thing I didn't like was that the music was too loud.
I went back to this place for the second time in the month as I am in love with their food.
With so many choices for Arabic food at the Box park, this place stands out. The seating is ample with choices of indoor and outdoor however you may have to wait to get a place over weekends.
The staff are extremely cordial and helpful however they don't understand too much of English.
The food is delicious . We ordered for tomato soup, hummus, sambosas and the kash kash kababs. The menu is fairly priced and the portions are decent. A must visit for Arabic food lovers.
Studio Masr caught my attention with the well rated reviews about the cuisines and the perfect location. It is another unique restaurant offering authentic Middle Eastern cuisine in the Box Park. In particular, studio Masr serves traditional Egyptian and Turkish mezze platters at affordable prices with fine ambience. The outlet is well decored inside-out with sufficient indoor and outdoor seating. The menu incorporates authentic signature dishes with the Middle Eastern flavors.
I visited Studio Masr along with my family on an auspicious occasion. And i must say, the family dinner at this beautiful outlet made the occasion even lively. We decided to sit indoors. Traditional Arabic lamps were hanging in every corner of the ceiling and the walls of the outlet had vintage textures all throughout, with snippets from Egyptian movies and plays. The staffs were quite friendly and had a pleasant approach to all our queries about the menu.
We started off with some hot bowls of soups. The server mentioned that the best selling soups were the Creamy Chicken soup and Creamy Tomato soup which were priced at Aed 12 and Aed 15. The soups were creamy and rich with less salt. For cold appetizers we ordered one portion of Hummus-Metabel-Raheb and two portions of Taboulah-Fattoush each worth Aed 15 and Aed 13. We also ordered two portions of our favorite Hummus with meat and pine nuts priced at Aed 25; the hummus was creamy and ingredients had the perfect blend.
The server insisted to order a speciality salad from the menu. We ordered a Roka Tandory Chicken. The salad was served in a huge bowl which had slices of marinated chicken with a tangy dressing, olive oil and lemon as the seasoning for the dish. The salad was priced at Aed 25. From among the oriental specialities, we ordered the Chicken Mansaf worth Aed 42. The taste of this dish was very bland with hardly any spices.
For the mains, we ordered a Studio Masr Shawaya grill set worth Aed 119. This was sufficient only for 4 persons. The grill set had a variety of kebabs and chicken pieces. We also ordered a plate of Shish tawouk named as Bent el Akaber and grilled chicken named as Leabet el Set. These dishes had crispy french fries and grilled vegetables on the sides. For meat main dishes we ordered, Grilled lamb kebab served with oriental rice, grilled vegetables and french fries. The meat and chicken pieces were well cooked and juicy; very delicious indeed. We also loved the freshly baked Arabic breads that were unlimited.
To sum up; a great dinner on a great evening.
We wanted to try the Egyptian cuisine, and took the decision to try this one, the staff are way more than great and welcoming, the food was tasty and served in good time, we had a small issue with the Freikeh dished, complained about it and manager gave good apology about, I liked that the restaurant manager came and introduced himself and asked us about how do we like the food. Worth another try.
Dined here on one of the cooler Dubai nights having been drawn in by the aroma of freshly grilled chicken. Atmosphere wise it was very pleasant and enjoyable. Had the chicken shwaya which is meant to be a sharing platter of sorts for two. The chicken tikka was juicy and well cooked. Same goes for the fillet. However, the quartered chicken piece felt dry in comparison and not as appetising. Also had two servings of the lemon mint. It was light and fresh, good enough to be had twice or more in one sitting.
The prices are reasonable for the locale and the service is quick. However, I do wish hey had explained the items they serve along with the complimentary bread basket. I mistook a cheese for hummus because it looked and tasted eerily similar, except it was more salty than hummus. Not the best decision since I have lactose troubles. Other than that, no qualms about this place.
My first time there and as an overall experience it was good, the service was excellent, the waiters were super friendly snd helpful and the menu had a variety of Egyptian and Lebanese food. We ordered only Egyptian dishes and it was worth the try. And while waiting for our order a complementary treat was served and it was super tasty, i think it was kind of labneh with tahina and some pickles. The appetizers were kind of average, my favorite dish was the liver cooked the alexandrian way. The king of the table was that mixed grill we ordered everything in it was delicious and it is enough for 3 people if you wish to order appetizers else it is good for 2. So if you are looking for an Egyptian experience go ahead and try studio masr.
The best Egyptian restaurant !! Freshly cooked food !! And the tasteeeee of the foood is amaziiinggg!! I couldnt stop eating !! I would recommend everyone to go here!! And the price is reasonable ! Not that expensive!! In the end you must try their "umm ali" as in dessert!
I'm rating Studio Masr 5 out of 5 because of one of the most important things that we experienced while dining there: Excellent Hospitality. I just forgot to note the name of our waiter but if all of the other staff were as attentive as he was to our comfort and our experience, then this has got to be one of the best. The food was also great. We ordered the mixed grill platter and maamar rice with chicken tagen. I think what I like also with most Arabic themed restaurants, not that I have eaten in a lot, but I guess it has been customary for most to serve some sort of welcome set of Arabic bread with hummus and garlic dip. I appreciated this part very much at Studio Masr. The Hummus and Garlic dip were really authentic and tasted different. I loved everything about the whole dining experience. I even dig the décor, as a lover of anything vintage, there were photos of old era Egypt movie stars, I guess? The place was busy when we were there. I think the busiest than the rest of the other dining places.
Amazing grilled food and fantastic staff .. Very welcoming and respective 👍🏽.. Best choice when you don't know what to eat. Friendly people and amusing atmospher❤️
The best Egyptian place for authentic food from the heart of Cairo and the shore of Alexandria. You read the menu and get the hint of the Egyptian drama classics since dishes are named after them, and Um Kalthoom songs in the background takes you back in time to the golden era of Egyptian music. stayed outside while the outdoor air conditioner helped creat pleasant atmosphere. The staff were so accommodative and friendly. The food though, is another great love story. Cooked to perfection and served with a warm welcome, Studio Masr became my new Egyptian cuisine spot.
We had our nephew transiting Dubai and he wanted a Middle Eastern meal. Since, we wanted to visit Boxpark as well, we thought of killing two birds with one stone :)
Being vegetarian, we knew our meal options would be limited starters, salads, appetisers etc only. It was a simple setup and we like it this way. We ordered Lentil soup, Hummus, Tabouleh, Fattoush, Shanklish, Sambousak. They served hot bread with some dips and vegetables. Later we also ordered Roka with Halloumi cheese and something else, I forgot the name. We couldn't finish these two :)
The bread was different from the one we usually get in most Lebanese joints. This one is harder, thicker and crispy. We liked it.
Food hovers at above average and serving is good. The name which I could not recall was not to my taste and Shanlish was bit too spicy. We were ok, but not sure, how my Arab friends would bear it.
Definitely recommended.
