Olive root is a quaint yet spacious restaurant that offers a few different dishes from multiple cuisines.
We decided to visit here on a Tuesday evening, too lazy to cook.
Since its just the 2 of us, we ended up ordering half a tandoori chicken for starter, an orange juice & a Royal chicken biriyani, which turned out to be plenty as we packed half the biriyani back home.
To start with, there were just 2 other tables occupied as I'm guessing cos it's a weekday!
The staff is very polite and courteous and there was also another man, who I presume is the owner, overlooking everything.
Service - 5/5
Coming to food, the portion and pricing is pretty decent. The tandoori half came with 4 pieces and mint chutney. The theatrics on this dish was amusing, coming out all smoking because of the coal!
The biriyani was recommended by the person who took our order and though I'm generally apprehensive to try biriyani (cos it can often go south), I was quite surprised that it was a good biriyani! Its mildly spiced, a good brand of rice used and there's enough and more chicken pieces for 2 people !
Food - 4/5
Coming to ambience and location, the insides are pretty much like another restaurant with the same specifics. Nothing that's exquisite, but nothing to complain about either.
Otherwise, great place for a casual night out when you are too lazy to cook!
Overall rating- 4/5
They serve very delicious Rajasthan thali. From starters to main course to dessert every dish served was delicious.
Staff service is also good and very active.
Had ordered veg combo thali and kashmiri pulao, both the dishes were good.. will look forward to visiting the restaurant to try out more of their dishes.
A wonderful place to dine in.. visited them yesterday for lunch ..everything was wonderful of this place .. the food the ambiance the staff .. the spices was as per our requirment and the portions of the food also was justified for the price .. the staffs were pleasant and friendly..
Some sweet after a spicy lunch would have made it 5 star
Excellent recommend to everyone . Mr.Naimatulla was best at Service ,Great food at a great price! And nice environment.Must try chicken lollipop.
So one of my all time go to place. Good food, attentive staff and pocket friendly. Portion size is huge. Overall descent place to visit with quality food.
A good place to have rajasthani thali. They have 2 dining areas for ala carte with non veg and for thali they have a separate area. Both looks really nice.
The starters in the thali was good. The daal baati was tasty. The main course was very nice. The roti the kichdi the sabji everything was good.
Their special blu lagoon drink was refreshing. The desserts moong dal haawa and sevayya was delicious and was perfect sweet.
Had a great time. Thank you.
Each dish served here is made with care...no matter what yu order it will be well decorated and smeel amazin ...food quality is also maintained
Had ordered hummus, chilly chicken, chicken fried rice and noodles from this place.
Basic food.. very high on taste.

Great place and great food. Just need to work on the washroom cleanliness and the party hall otherwise great food and friendly staff. Loved the place
The staff is very good, food is very tasty, presentable. The music was good and the ambience had a peaceful dinner vibe. Chicken momos are amazing and fish in lemon sauce was good as well.
It was my first visit to the restaurant and I wasn’t disappointed at all.. Excellent food , very humble and friendly staff. Couldnt have asked for more.. Great stuff !!
The food is really good and fresh. We went lunch the other day and ordered chicken changezi and chicken biryani. The chicken was fresh chicken, not defrosted. Also the prices are reasonable. A must visit
Very nice food and ambience. Ordered chicken fried rice and schezwan chicken Noodles. Schezwan Noodles was outstanding. Thanks a lot olive root.
The restaurant is located in Nahda 1 but can be slightly confusing to arrive.
Polite and friendly staff.. we had alfredo pasta, grilled chicken with sauted veg and olive root chicken burger.
The food was well cooked with right amount of ingredients. The ambience was good too.
A hidden gem of a place for Qusais -Al Nahda Rajasthani thaali lovers finally ! A joint that was recommended by my friend didnt turn out to be a wrong one. The dahi batata puri ,dhokla and gulab jamun served with the thali was delicious and authentic. Also offered us with excellent customer service.
Highly recommend for those who r looking for reasonable and quality Rajasthani thaali experience.
Olive Root is one of the unique restaurant which fulfills your craving for Indian Muglai food and to chill & relax. Loved the ambience. Its a beautiful place with very friendly environment. Love Each and every bites of dishes I tasted here. The economically priced menu incorporates regional and traditional flavors from across India and offers classic favorites with a modern twist. Each dish has a quirky touch in a manner that suits the palate and lifestyle of the current day, by way of contemporary preparation and plating. Recommend this place highly for anyone who love traditional Rajasthani, Indian and Muglai food.
Amazing Food and Service!

Very Polite Staff and Authentic food The First time I ordered from this Restaurant and till date the hospitality is much Appreciated The Quality is Excellent need to Work on Quantity.
Keep it up
The food was really good. Me and my friend loved the food and the Ambience. Special thanks to Rahil for personal care.
I would like to refer my friends !
Best resturant for north indian food. Specially Dal Makhni is awesome. Dahi kabab is also one of the best we ever had anywhere in dubai. Their ambience and hospitality is also very good.
I went to this restaurent for Rajasthani Thali. It is ok on taste and nothing spectacular. Probably this is the only place in Ghusais/ Al Nadha area serving Rajasthani Thali. They have a separate section for Thali. As the adjacent section serves non veg food, not sure whether this is s right restaurant for pure vegetarians. They do not offer 1+1 Zomato gold offer for thali. I have used their delivery service as well and the mixed dhal and tawa roti were excellent
The food is fantastic and the service is very good. Olive Root has become one of my favorite destinations to visit with my family on weekends.
I ordered chicken tom yum soup and 2 half royal chicken biryanis through zomato. The food got delivered in 1 and half hour instead of 50 minutes! The soup was average but the biryani was amazing. Perfectly cooked chicken and good blend of spices and masala.1 half biryani is sufficient for 1 person. So the 4 starts is only for the biryani:) otherwise 2 starts for long wait and soup.
Great food excellent service by neyamat. ordered mixed grilled chicken scallop with mash potatoes and chicken biryani food was delicious and juicy which is missing in other restaurants and complementory moong dal halwa by restaurant manager to my baby was so delicious.
Keep it up
The Ambience is Amazing and the staff here is friendly specially the Manager.
Food I tried North Indian Food as Recommended by Manager
Daal Makhani, Chicken Changezi, Melted Galouti Kabab Beverage tried Blue Lagoon All Food Tastes completely coming from the source of it. Reminds me of my India
Thank you Olive Root will visit Again.
Good food . Great service by mithun the server & restaurant manager
Value for money
It's one of the better restaurants serving Indian food in the area .
Recently I have visited this place tried there Chicken Momos and Mixed Grill it was really yummy I had a wonderful experience at this place staff was friendly Service was Nice.
they have good Ambience Hygiene you Should also visit this place
Awesome Food - The Momos were great, the Lolipop chicken was well done and the Curries like changezi chicken is new for us and was well prepared. Overall - Great Stuff.
One Suggestion for the Restaurant is to please offer more bread option than just Phulka Roti - there should be parathas, Rumali or Tandoori Rotis too - as we ordered the food from there but had to order the rotis, nans and parathas from another place.
One of the best Indian foods in Dubai.
Good staff, great ambience, reasonable prices.
Their Galouti kabab was literally mouth melting. Must Try 👍🏻
A pocket friendly place with a super smiling staff. The food is not extra ordinary but it is absolutely worth the price💁🏻! The veg burger is delicious and is way better than chicken which is very surprising. The chicken tikka pasta was quite desi and nice. Both the continental chicken dishes were really good. Iftar starters are at 15!! Definitely try that out
Yesterday I had iftar at Olivia root . They have delicious chat iftar Aed just 15 dh with pakoda ,Chana. Fruits ,dahi baday , shawarma , dates , water , rohafza . All was good then I try chicken pasta that was mind bobbling & I like the Chilean fillet with mash potatoes taste too other dish was good but when it’s comes to desert I will say it’s just fine not that much good as cheese cake
I went to olive root along with my friends last night for Iftaar party cum dinner. All the food items were delicious. Also the manager Mr.Rahil took good care of us
All time favorite
Near by big enough
Also thali available and good quality food
Biryani is a must try
Good seatingarrangement
Good service
I ordered paneer makhani n garlic butter naan. I loved it to the very bit. Loved the gravy of the sabzi. The naan could be a little crispier but never the less loved it. Would love to try other things from this restaurant.
Visited here pre Ramadan while they had a Eggceptional menu in which they served all dishes made with the main ingredient Egg . We tried deviled eggs, creamy pesto and egg rositti, bruschetta, egg curry , breads , fresh orange juice , salad and some dessert . All the dishes were pretty good I loved the creamy pesto and egg Rositti and egg curry the most . Creamy pesto and Egg Rositti is a must try ! The orange juice was fresh . We tried some fruit and vanilla cake for dessert which was good too . The service was excellent . Cozy lovely ambience and reasonably priced .
I am a regular customer here, food here is very good and tasty. I tried royal chicken biryani and we also get spicy momos which is yummy. Also they have rajastani thali as well which is unlimited food.
We were invited for a bloggers meet to review their breakfast items on a lovely saturday morning.
The review started with a glass of chilled MASALA BUTTER MILK, some COFFEE and KARAK. All the three of them were refreshing and a perfect start to a new day.
After a round of photos it was time to gobble up the food. The first item on our plate was the ALOO PARATHA served with raita and green chutney. Nice and crispy on the outside but could have been spicier on the inside.
Next we had some VEGETABLE & CHICKEN CLUB SANDWICH. Very healthy but both the sandwiches were falling apart. The veg one was slightly salty as well.
We also tried their KANDA POHA, MASALA OMELETTE & DEVILED EGGS. All the three of them were super delicious and totally worth trying
The best item on their menu was the CHEESE SCHEZWAN VADA PAV. Nice and spicy with melted cheese, this one totally melted our hearts. We ended the review with some FRESHLY SQUEEZED ORANGE JUICE.
Yummy food, lovely interiors and amazing customer service makes this one of the best restaurants in that area. Their menu prices are jaw dropping with all of the above mentioned breakfast items available for less than 10 dhs.

I had been invited by Hyperlinks Media for breakfast at Olive Root . All the breakfast items presented to us on the table are all available for only under 10 AED which is such a good deal if you are looking for a place to have delicious and filling breakfast on a budget. The breakfast dishes that I tried were
1.Deviled eggs
2. Shezwan Cheese Vada pav
3.Aloo Paratha
4. Kanda Batata Poha
5.Chicken Club Sandwich
6. Veg Club Sandwich
All these items tasted really good . They also have a variety of hot and cold beverages to choose from to accompany with the breakfast item of your choice and being a coffee lover , I chose coffee and also if you have a sweet tooth like me during breakfast time, do try their Motichoor Ladoo 😍 . The staff are very kind and welcoming. The interiors are nice and have a modern Indian touch to it . I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a breakfast on a budget 👌👌👌👌
Being a foodie means you love to try the foods from different traditions. So a few days ago I got a chance to try some Rajhstani food @oliverootdxb .
🥞It was a perfect morning with a perfect breakfast. Theit breakfast menu is so good for vegetarians and non vegetarians as well. .
🍞The ambiance was perfect, I love the typical Rajhasrani serving style ❤️ .
🥖 I loved the club sandwich and the stuffed eggs ❤️ I will definitely go there again to have those stuffed eggs. .
🥪 The best part about @oliverootdxb is their rate. All the items are really affordable and pocket friendly. All the items are below 10aed. .
🍳It was a very good experience there as you guys can see the happiness on my face. 🙈 .
☕️Breakfast is incomplete without chaye and I loved their chaye ❤️ and the cups ❤️
.
🔥Now I’m so looking forward to try their special Rajhastani thali too ❤️
.
❤️ I will highly recommend this. .

Olive Root, Al Nahda Dubai
Rice flakes by themselves are so bland and dry but with right addition of spices they make an amazingly nutritious breakfast.
Yes. This colorful picture is of a yummy bowl of Kanda poha. Seeing it on their menu got me excited and I wasn't disappointed. All my childhood my mum did it wrong feeding us that with coconut and sugar. Aaah!
The next thing I liked here was the schezwan Vada pao, and I was expecting it to be fiery hot but it was quite mild, which was a good thing for me cause I don't like gasping for water 😂
My kids loved the parathas but they were a little on the oily side for me. Their mint chutney was like the icing on the top. Freshly made and just wow.
And the good part! All their breakfast items are under 10 and served with a steaming cup of complimentary tea or coffee. Being the coffee addict, I chose coffee😋

Every region has their own specialty, like Rajisthani cuisine was influenced by both the war-like lifestyles of its inhabitants & the availability of ingredients in this arid region. Food that could last for several days & could be eaten without heating was preferred. It is also known for its snacks like Bujiya or kachori to name a few. %.

Overview:
I was invited to try out their breakfast on a Saturday.
To be honest I never even knew this was there as its tucked away in between buildings.
Love the ambience with two different seating areas. One exclusively for thali and the other for dine-ins.
What appealed to me is the breakfast menu was all under 10 served with a Tea/coffee which makes it perfect for those days you dont want to cook and just relax.
Definetly a family friendly space.
Food review:
Here's my honest take on their breakfast..
The must try would be Poha loaded with sweet, salty and spicy and super healthy ofcourse. Their masala chai I couldnt have enough. Another huge must try are those motichoor ladoos best that I've eaten in a long while.
I particularly liked their parathas although needs to be served with some yogurt. Their omelette and deviled eggs needed something to go along with was decent for the price. The schezwan vada pav wasnt to spicy although I still prefer the dry garlic chutney.
Must try:
Poha
Masala chai
Motichoor ladoo

I was invited to olive root for a breakfast event tasting session.
The place is located in Nahda near Sahara Center. They have a spacious inside seating area which is convenient for groups as well. The inside is split into two parts as one side is serving more of an international cuisine and the other side serving more traditional Indian food Rajasthani.
I had the chance to try many different menu options. It started with masala lassi which is a yoghurt drink (Laban/ayran in Middle East cuisines) and it was very refreshing. Then came the parathas, club sandwich, vegetable omelette, vadapav (deep fried potato dumpling inside bread bun), poha (a colorful Indian breakfast dish from rice) and of course with masala chai.
My favorites were fresh parathas and the vegetable omelette. The staff was also extremely nice to ensure everybody was happy. Prices are very reasonable.
A nice option if you like or want to try Indian type of breakfast around Nahda area.
This time I had the pleasure of visiting olive Root. I went in for breakfast of which they have a promo for 10dhs and under🤩.
AMBIENCE : They have spacious seating area, separate for pure Rajsathani dishes and separate for mixed platter.
Items ordered are as follows.
1. Fresh juice : Ordered me some fresh pineapple juice.
2. Poha : This was just amazing with pieces of pomegranate in it, was just a delish.
3. Aloo parathas : The parathas, freshly made were just amazing to have with thier amazing tea.
4. Veg. Omlete : I expected it to be just a normal omlete, but to my surprise this was one of the best in town.
5. Club : Got me some of them chicken club. They serve veg. Club as well.
6. Schezwan vadapav : The star of the show for me was this vadapav, the delicate flavors caught me off guard and I was in awe of it.
7. Fresh ladoos : They have also started serving in house freshly made ladoos which were craaaazyy😋🤩.
These are my opinions and as I always say do check it out for yourselves. Peace out✌️😎
The Rajisthani Thali is highly recommended. A great variety of dishes and sweets served in the Thali. Good ambience and great service. The waiters take great care in serving you throughout the meal. Definelty going there again.
'Delicious breakfast items!'
We visited Olive Root in Al Nahda, Dubai as a group of friends for a weekend breakfast. There is plenty of seating at the restaurant and it is good for a business meeting or a family gathering.
Here is a review of what we tasted:
1. Masala Butter Milk: It was delicious and would have tasted even better if it was a little more chilled.
2. Coffee: It was very tasty - perfectly brewed.
3. Karak chai: It was good and was a hit among many in our group.
4. Kanda Poha: It was delicious and brought back nostalgic memories.
5. Aloo Paratha: It was pretty good and was served with raita and green chutney.
6. Vegetable Club Sandwich: It was grilled with vegetables and cheese –very healthy.
7. Chicken Club Sandwich: It was an overload of chicken, vegetables and plain omelette – the sandwich was falling apart as it was very heavy. It was tasty though.
8. Masala Omlette: It was mild – would have tasted better with a little spice.
9. Devilled Eggs: They were yummy and just melted in my mouth.
10. Cheese Schezwan Vada Pav: It was a novel vada pav although the schezwan sauce was not very spicy.
The staff is friendly and helpful. The ambience is lovely and the interiors have decorated antiques. There is paid car parking outside the restaurant.
Note: Olive root has a wide range of affordable breakfast items and also has offers like the 10 dhs offer for one breakfast item along with unlimited tea/coffee!

An excellent place for breakfast.. Prices are very reasonable.. All the below dishes which was extravagant in portion size was priced AED 10.. I fell in love with their egg dishes which were magnificent.. All items includes beverages which makes this place a budget friendly place to treat large number of people..
The green tea with a piece of lemon in it was my favourite.. Another important fact to mention is their in house made sweets.. Worth the all the money spent on them..
The service was fast..The servers were friendly and helpful..They made a lot of accomodation to my low carb diet.. I truly appreciate their accomodating attitude towards customers..
The ambience required to be mentioned as well as it has a very royal/majestic looks to it.. The art word inside the restaurant gives it a cosy feeling making it an ideal place to go out with friends and family..
Highly recommend their breakfast items..
Items below are :
Omelette
Paratha
Deviled Eggs
Scrambled
Club Sandwich
Green Tea

If you are craving for some delicious north Indian food in dubai, then this is it. Olive Root is one of the cute restaurants with comfy interiors having all the Indian food options, including a thali, for pocket friendly prices. We tried chicken momos, biryani and tandoori here and trust us on this, everything was so yummy. Loved the biryani and it’s quantity.we would definitely recommend this place to you guys!! Cheers
Decided to have my dinner here with my family and made a right choice. Good ambience, parking available, neat and clean place with good staff service. Reasonable price with good quantity and best taste food. One should try their Rajasthani thali which is totally worth it. Just keep it up olive root 👍👍👍👍
This restaurant is must try for both Veg and non-veg eaters. They’ve got variety of delicious dishes.
They’ve got 2 separate sections for the veg and non-veg food. The veg thali is a must try.
So I’ve had:
🔹The blue lagoon: this was a mojito which was really refreshing and a perfect start.
🔹Chicken tandoori: it was really flavorful and perfectly cooked. Lovely presentation as well.
🔹Chicken momos: one of the best momos I’ve ever tried.
🔹Chicken biryani: Trust me when I say that this was the best biryani I’ve had in a while. Was slightly spicy and delicious.
🔹last but not the least the Moong Dal Ka Halwa: this was the first time I tried moong dal ka halwa and I really loved it.
Note: that they serve breakfast under AED. 10🤩

One of the best restaurants serving Indian food in Dubai. Loved the ambience of this restaurant. They have lots of veg and non-veg options.
About the food:
1️⃣Blue Lagoon Mojito: Tastes like any regular mojito but blue in color.
2️⃣Chicken Momos: Loved the way they present it. The momos were perfect. Light and yummy.
3️⃣Chicken Tandoori: It was spicy and that’s what I loved about it. Cooked perfectly.
4️⃣Chicken Biryani: Loved the biryani. It had subtle rose flavour. A must try. It’s one of a kind.
5️⃣Moong Dal Halwa: This was seriously too good. A perfect ending.
Overall, I loved this place. They do serve pure veg thali.
Definitely worth the visit! A hidden gem in Al Nahda, Dubai.
Went there for lunch and definitely was impressed!
Tried the chicken tandoori grill which was amazing to say the least. The chicken was very well grilled and tender to the bite and alongst with the green chutney which added a tangy and spicy flavour to the grill.
Also would recommend trying the momos. A new concept for me personally. These are mini bitesize dumplings with your choice of finely chopped vegetables or chicken. Very tasty and definitely coming back here for more!
And to wash it all down do try their signature blue lagoon. Along with the exciting colour it has a refreshing and sparkling taste to it. Perfect when coupled with the grill.
And of course to cure that sweet tooth was the Olove Root Moon Daal Halwa which was the best halwa I have tried so far. Not too sweet and the grainy texture was everything!
This was my first time trying rajisthani food and I must say I was quite impressed by the flavors. The restaurant is tucked in the neighborhood of nahda. It has the perfect ambience reflecting modernism with mouthwatering traditional dishes. We started off with ordering in our drinks. We tried their blue lagoon which was quite satisfactory. For starters we had their chicken Momo's which were quite good. For our main courses we had the chicken Tikka and rajisthani chicken biryani. The tikka was packed with amazing spicy flavors and the biryani was really delicious and unique. My recommendation from this place would be definitely these both dishes. Also don't miss out on the biryani as it was truely one of the best and unique one's I've had. For dessert we had moong ke daal ka halwa which was also quite tasty. All in all it is a good place, they are also very famous for their thalis which unfortunately we didn't get a chance to enjoy but really looking forward to having it the next time we go there.
Olive Root is an excellent add on to my neighborhood eateries. Though the restaurant is located in an edgy corner, the ambiance was exceptional. The eatery is divided into two section- one for Rajasthani Thali and other for ala carte.I was welcomed by a blue lagoon drink which was visually enticing. I loved their Rajasthani biriyani and chicken momos very much. If you are planning to visit olive root, don't forget to try their moong dal halwa- God it was amazinggggg!!! The olive root restaurant filled my heart and mind with utmost gratification.

if you want to try traditional or modern food with amazingly affordable prices in a perfect decor and ambiance then this is the place guys. Do visit you will love it .. 👍🏼 Tried thier > Royal chicken BIRIYANI ( what more could a Biriyani Lover ask for )
Chicken changezi with Lachha paratha as well 👌🏼 The biryani was so rich and aromatic in taste. The blend of spices used was so unique that it was making its taste super amazing spices was perfectly balanced served with special raita and salsa sauce .. about the changezi which I’m trying the first time was even upto the mark.
Definitely Coming back for their Rajasthani thali which was actually missed coz of the timing 😌 The best part is thier service and ambiance 👌🏼
Olive root has been on my bookmarks for a while and finally we paid them a visit for dinner the other day. They've got ample seating and it is divided into the veg and non-veg section. The interiors are done up really well and has a good ambience.
Coming to the food, i was in the mood for biriyani and my fiance wanted to try their famous rajasthani thali. We started off with their hot and sour chicken soup and then went on to the mains. We ordered a half chicken changezi as well. I enjoyed the mutton biriyani. It was full of masala and the meat was cooked to perfection. It was served fresh and warm. The rajasthani thali was delicious too. They didn't frown when i tasted it and infact they kept asking me to try the dishes in the thali.
The chicken changezi was alright. Maybe I was too stuffed to enjoy it. I had it with roti but somewhere i found it slightly sweet. Taste wise it was fine.
Overall, we really enjoyed the food and the service. Highly recommended.
