Very testy and very nice food . Is exactly how it's most be ,of course the price at the first owner better than now but the quality very good . Their response is unacceptable. Order was received at 12:15 in the noon and then no response. Later upon calling them, I got a reply that this order is been cancelled by them. By that time, it was almost 3pm. Then I ordered some grill in a lebanese restaurant as there was no other way and ate the food very late. Response through telephone was so disgusting. And I faced difficulty to have lunch very late (office time) instead of having it at the lunch break time.

The Mix Grill was very average. The quantity is less in comparison to other restaurants serving the same dish for an almost equal price or less. Thought I was getting Lamb Chops, instead I got a Lamb Chop.

The saj bread shawarmah comes without fries & pickles inside and is not grilled properly. As per chef there is generally 1 spoon garlic sauce and customer should order extra garlic sauce. Therefore, it was a dry, hard to chew wrap of dry chicken. There is no side garlic for free (regardless of order size).. Food was delivered late and cold. Try at your own risk and complain at your own risk.

Ordered last night veal and lamb Which o thought was going to have tahini sauce it was tomatoe instead.i think it's a error in the app. The food would have been really good except it was extremely salty... I was thinking it might have been just that dish. Order again next day, this time kofta and potatoes. It was more salty too much to enjoy what I can tell is a lovely made dish. Please please reduce the amount of salt used in your food.

So we just had lunch at Bab Sharqi, the decor is rustic and old fashioned which is kind of plus point for restaurant. We ordered lamb kebabs, mince chicken with potato and Arabic shawarma platter. The food was mediocre apart from the lamb kebabs which were surprisingly good. However the service was terrible the food wasn't served all at once and while one of us was eating the other person had to wait for their food. The server wasn't friendly and didn't pay much attention even though we were literally the only customers. The service needs to be improved either than that it was a good experience. Food - 2.5 Ambience - 3.5 Service - 2.0

I usually don’t leave bad reviews but I have no choice. Delivery came on time which was a plus point. I ordered the grilled chicken and chicken shawarmas. Shawarmas were decent as they had an option of one with garlic paste and one with tahina. I don’t like tahina but I tried it, wasn’t so good. That was my fault. On to the grilled chicken, smelled funny, full of colouring, super red and I would say about 85% cooked. Didn’t enjoy it so much, mainly because if it smells funny, I don’t find it too appealing. Regardless, me being a hoe, ate the whole thing. Come 0645 HRS the next morning, uneasiness in the stomach and hell breaks loose. Literally. So yeah, don’t think I’m ordering grilled chicken from there, unless it’s for someone I dislike.

Good portion and tasty. But consume the food fresh upon delivery itself else the taste will be gone.Will order again when in need of higher quantity like during a get together or so.

So this is a delivery review, for some reason, i am unable to do so via the app. Anyway, the delivery was late, therefore the food was cold when i got it. But coming to the food, they are done pretty well and the portion size is satisfying. Quality is decent as well, although packaging could improve as my Shawarma plate was all over the place when i opened the box. Regardless of the negatives mentioned, I am quite happy about their quality of food, could be improved but definitely worth trying again

Placed an order of a half grilled chicken boneless and was delivered on time! The chicken was not dry and very rich with flavor. It was a bit spicy which i didnt expect but i enjoyed it because i dont mind spicy food. Presentation wasn't the best but for the price its decent.

I give them 1 because there is no Zero This is the worst restaurant i visited in all UAE ..as a Syrian i was astonished when i heard about the name Bab Sharqi which is one of the oldest places in Damascus i went from Abu Dhabi wishing to see authentic Syrian food...and there was the disaster..very bad service and very rude staff..the food is less than normal and has no sign of authenticity ..expensive comapred to the amount and quality...but the most annoying thing was that the owners are sitting inside the restaurant when u enter and they do not have any kind of welcoming or even care about the customers requests till we thought that they are the customers and we have to serve them and above all that the prices in the menu are different from the real ones...i will never go there again

Very very rude staff. I sat outdoor where there were no tissues nothing hence i took tissues from inside table to clean my hand on which the phillipino lady loudly said that i am taking ALL their tissues. Like seriously?. We often used to order their Mixed Grills and salads like Fattoush in the office and they were delicious. Quantity was very good and we really enjoyed. 4/5 only for their mixed grill meals. Last week I went there for dinner and ordered a large spicy chicken shawarma. It tasted nice and was filling but was a bit greasy. Pricing is high, and plain black tea is Dhs 14! However overall I was satisfied with their food.

Ordered the mix grill meal, the food arrived so quickly. The portion is ok: 2 Kufta, 1 Chicken Tawook, 1 lamb cubes and 4 small chicken wings. All served with Fattoush salad, garlic dip, Hummus, spicy dip. All in all, the meal wasn't bad, nothing special though.

Tried it twice, mixed BBQ is OK to go for. Shawerma on the first time was very good however the second time just smelled funny. Probably won't go there again. Taste was ok in both times

Presentation: average Portion: Hummos was very very small, you could see the plate through the hummos! The Shawerma did not come with any kind of sauce, even though it says on the menu it comes with either garlic or Tahina sauce. Price: Ok

I was craving for a shawarma and so stopped at the first restaurant that came my way around Al Barsha 1. I'm sorry but was disappointed - ordered the chicken shawarma and felafel sandwich. The chicken shawarma was tasty which came in Saj bread but felafel sandwich was in a normal Lebanese bread and was cold. I definitely think both were over priced!!

Hidden gem in barsha dishing out quality syrian cuisine in a nice home style dining room with a good mix of photos and antiques. The oven dishes are particularly good. Garlic lemon chicken with potatoes, kofta in tahina.

Another "ok" arabic joint in al barsha, ordered the mix grill today over the internet, then waited for about 45 minutes until it arrived, the meat cubes were not good in my opinion they are very chewy and lack proper marination, the kebab on the other hand were very good and full of flavor which is supposed to be the same case with the meat cubes since it's all made by the same person, the order comes with humus, fries, bread,spicy dip and a pack of pickles. Price was 40 dhs. Speed: 3/5 Service: 4/5 Taste: 2.5/5 Value for money: 4/5

Been ordering in at work for lunch from here a lot in the past one year. Only tired one thing on their menu. I tried the half grilled chicken (comes boneless or normal as you order). Comes with hummus, bread, pickles, garlic sauce and spicy sauce. Along with the chicken, they serve french fries. The portions are good and filling and the grilled chicken is done nicely. Only thing that annoys me about ordering from them is that they never send forks and knives with the orders (even though we mentioned this a couple of times)

Food was amazing, authentic because the owner of the restaurant is also the cook Arayes was out of world and probably the only non-commercial shawarma in SZR Do yourself a favour and order kabab halabi I enjoyed the food so much I forgot to take pictures, restaurant is clean and tidy, staff were nice and welcoming, Syrian owner is sweet and humble, 4.5 because hummus was not to my taest but my friends told me it was delicious I recommend this place for authentic Arabic food

Very very BAD restaurant! Nothing has a good taste! We tried the fried kebbeh it was horrible seems its re heated and fried several times in dark dirty oil its almost burned and hard ! Shawerma oh my God .. They called it shawerma saj .. Actually it has nothing to do with Saj .. They made the shawerma with normal light bread and added one layer of thick almost burned bread but no way it can be called Saj shawerma , muttabal and hummos was also bad and very small portion, as over all its bad experience i will never repeat it , despite the fact that it's expensive comparing to the quality and quantity of food they served, i will not accept to put it in my mouth even if they will offer it free !! BAD resturant !

Though I love writing long reviews, I would keep this one short. There may be a lot of Arabic grill restaurants, but this one made me wanna order from the restaurant again. Not all grill food restaurants do that to you. Try their boneless chicken from the grills section, the Hummous and the kebabs. Givin it a 3.5 out of 5, would want to give them more but only after I try more of their stuff.

This place is like a hidden gem, them having only one waiter is a bit of a pain but they're always nice and welcoming with a very cozy non-typical atmosphere inside (very damascene). Their chicken shawarmas are extremely well-done for their price, but they run out of shawarma at night (around 10pm) so dont go there that late(grr). Their chicken meals are good, hummus with meat is excellent, moutabbal is good (its very light) and one of the few Syrian places in Dubai. I recommend this if youre looking for a small quiet place with cozy atmosphere and good food.

Small setting, lovely music and amazing arabic always sets me to Bab Sharaqi! The place has an indoor, and outdoor setting with few arabic notes placed beside the indoor seating area. Anything off the menu, is guaranteed satisfaction. The mixed grills and shawarma (made of saj bread, grilled to perfection and missing french fires) being my favorites. We went for a plate of fattuosh, chicken soup and peach iced tea for dinner. The fattuosh was perfect, with the baked bread adding the perfect crunch to your plate of greens. Chicken soup was comfort food, as 2 pints collectively are nursing a runny nose. The servers are good, and seldom come up with good advice. At AED 40, the healthy dinner did us some good !

One of my personal favourites within the vicinity! Cosy, well managed, food flavour does not fluctuate. A little higher in price than similar places jn Al Barsha, but you get better dishes. Personal favourite is chicken with lemon & garlic. If its fish you are after, then only opt for the hamour.
