Great selection of sweet and savoury treats, as well as salads and main meals. Very friendly and efficient staff. Always a pleasure to dine at this fantastic Japanese bakery.
The best Japanese bakery in the UAE!
I love Yamanote Atelier for pastries and drinks. Today I had a Matcha 🍵 latte and a savory pastry, so good as any of their outlets. Plus for DIFC is that they also serve salads.
Food, ambience and staff absolutely lovely!! I love their coffee and the japanese cheese cake! Especially now that the weather is great, take a seat outside and enjoy!
One of the best Japanese Soufflé cheesecake I have had !
I have always loved Japanese cheesecakes and this one was super awesome !!!!!
It’s gooey , cheesy and so soft that it melts in your mouth ! I have also tried their cheese tarts. They are good too.
If I compare the cheesecake that famous uncle Tetsu offers then this one definitely matches their standards !
5/5 - For the cheesecake!
Price - 13 AED pp.
I will definitely visit Yamanote and try their other stuff too !
DIFC happen to be my workplace and I have dinned at Yamanote multiple times. Its a great place to get fresh Japanese bakery items. I usually go for different item each time since they have a huge variety! The prices are a bit on the higher side, but then its DIFC so its okay!
Best soft serve ice cream in town. Yummmm. Their food is very good as well especially their salads but portions are a bit disappointing.
Nothing more to say ....
Good place for business meetings and having lunch or coffee. I usually order the beef teryaki sandwich which is my favorite. Must try their soft serve ice cream ! I ve been informed that the raw materials come from Japan and they use good quality dark chocolate!
A good japanese bakery option in DIFC. They have a selection of fresh salads and sandwiches which are excellent. Their bakery items and the ice cream ate also worth trying.
Variety of menu a nice Japanese concept located in difc with outdoor seating area , team are friendly, salad range is great healthy and freshly quality food, price good compare to others with the same quality food
Super nice place with good food. Great location and wonderful outdoor sitting area. Desserts are a must try. I would recommend this place for quick lunch or coffee with a friend. Definitely worth to go
If you are craving for some soft, creamy and delicious snacks, this is the best place in Difc! I think all their items are 5 star pastries for me. Everything is balance not too sweet not too heavy. My favourite is the egg muffin for breakfast it will definately make your day. If you are hungry for afternoon snack I would recommend the pastry puff with cheese in the middle, it just melts in you mouth!!! Hhhhmmmm
Have you tried their iced matcha latte? You'll know that you've been missing a lot when you tried it.
It's my favourite guilty pleasure place when I crave something sweet. Just hope that they're closing a bit late tho coz 8pm is just way too early.
we ordered breakfast from this place for our team building activity. the food was really nice and perfectly cooked. there is so much variety of buns, burgers, wraps, pizza, sweet chocolate etc. I really loved the food and it's filling as well
One of my favorite go-to places for any meal in the day. Their eggs benedict are soooo good! A cube of toast with a poached egg inside and on top. The bread cube is toasted on every side. Their omelet is fluffy on the inside and their coffee is delicious. For lunch, any of their salads are good. I especially like their Chicken Yakitori skewers with wild rice. I always order a side of plain white rice and sweet potato fries if i'm there for lunch. My favorite dessert is their choco-vanilla swirl soft serve ice cream! I do love their pastries, however i find it difficult to only have 1..
Am a veggie and hence not many cater to my choice and still serves tasty food. But this one did. After a serious search of their menu decided to order Lasagna. May be I dint have an option either. But believe me it was so good fresh with lot of aroma and taste in it. Enjoyed every bit of it to the last spoon. The only grudge is the portion that they serve for the price u pay!!
Reasonable priced menu with option to take small or large portion size on many items. Outdoor and indoor seating available. We visited on Valentine's day and were each given a red rose. The Yaki Niku beef skewers and Yaki Tori chicken skewers were tasty but lots of meat and not much else on the side. We also ordered the Crab and Avocado salad as well as the Yamanote roasted chicken salad, both of which looked good but the chicken / crab was limited and placed on the top of the dishes only. Service was good, despite the relatively busy lunchtime crowd.
Great design, great service, good food. The portion are to tiny for the salad, I would definitely recommend you to take sandwich/main dishes for 5-10aed extra. The tenderloin were tasty, good.
I recommend it.
I went yesterday for a quick coffee and i took some pastry and bakery home for a bbq with the friends.
The venue is so beautiful, located in DIFC next to Gate 5. Has a little terrace that is very comfy now that the weather is still good, but the inside decoration is as well very cozy and nice. On the left hand side you have big counter where you can see samples of their salads and main courses, all looks yummy! and all the japanese pastries...! From delicious croissants, to other beautiful creations. I bought a box of 8 pastries and all of them were amazing, my favorite was a donught with shell shape and the puff pastry with kiri cheese...! was something else!
My surprise was when i arrived to the bbq there was another guests who borught a japanese rose cake.... that was something else! The finest and dedicated cake ever tried with the perfect balance of rose taste ever!
The bakery chefs are from Japan, and the brand has a lot of curious and nice merchandising items that you can buy. I can't wait to go back and try their salads and food! I heard a loot of comments about it!
Highly recommended !
A breakfast meeting in perfect outdoor weather.
Service is quick and food arrives on time.
Eggs Any style: egg white omelet with veggies served with 2 small hashbrowns, grilled tomatoes and 2 small toasted bread cubes. The egg is cooked perfectly but the toppings aren't generous. Not seasoned as well. Hashbrowns are a bit oily and the toast cubes are just an addition.
Coffee Americano - a bit watery for my taste, I prefer strong coffee.
Overall a quick breakfast to satisfy the morning hunger!
Aujourd hui j ai eu l occasion de dejeuner chez Yamanote...ve beau restaurant japonais...
Les pennes Alfredo etaient delicieux...quant a la patisserie japonaise ...elle succulente..
Je recomande vivement de visiter ...
well, a bit over rates for me. i give it to them on presentation, ambiance, experience but taste - i am not sure. i tried many items, i really could not say that the taste per say was strong in most if not all of the items. you see it amazing, eat it no.
I have tried a couple of things on their menu. the Philly cheese-steak sandwich was flavorful and moist. i really enjoyed it. however the chicken sandwich which i took based on the waiters recommendation was bland and greasy and i was very disappointed. i would go for the cheese steak again definitely but ill probably avoid experimenting with other menu items.
If you are quick enough, you will get the freshly baked Totoro buns which can make your day with a single bite.
Yamanote Atelier is a Japanese bakery with a couple of branches across Dubai. They have a good variety of pastries and sandwiches but their best sellers are the Totoro Buns and Mario Buns which have a chocolate filling.
Unlike the Dubai Mall branch, the DIFC branch is not a self service branch and the servers are super helpful.
A great place to indulge during or after work hours.
I sometimes pop in here for a salad. It's good enough that I go back but nothing amazing... it's very convenient if you are in the area for work and just want something quick with a few healthier options.
My fav bakery in dubai !
Recommended :
Custard pie ( must try !)

Salads and pastas are good too- my fav is the chicken panini and the salmon sashimi salad
I have been to Yamanote several times - everyone raves about their pastries for a reason! My favourite is their curry doughnut and the cheese croissant, absolutely perfect lamination on their puff pastry. The breakfast menu is very interesting and good value for Dubai's standards - I tried their egg benedict with salmon that is served inside a bread cube, really unique! Service is friendly and the ambience is nice. Not cheap, but definitely worth the price.
Been there for a quick lunch and was amazed by quality of food, speed of service and friendliness of staff. Will come over again when I am in than area! :) And I really enjoyed my Turkey Cheese melt sandwich! :)
What a nice little bakery. All these funny shapes make you want to not try the food but the truth is it's as delicious as it looks 😋 service was friendly but nothing out of the ordinary.
I recently ate in the DIFC restaurant and I must say I will definitely be back. I wasn't sure about which salad to have but the tall manager on duty was so helpful and actually suggested I have half and half! He was extremely friendly and took the time to explain the menu in detail. I have recommended this place to all my friends and will be back soon myself!

With our limited options for desserts during Ramadan time got us here! This is the first time I was going to try a Japanese Bakery so was quite excited about it. Well they have beautifull interiors with open kitchen and their buns and croissants have a wide variety. They even have salads, pastas, coffee that looked really appealing in their menu.
We ordered :-
1) Chiffon cake with vanilla chocolate sorbet - Their chiffon cake was really soft and fluffy and not soo sweet. It went well with the sorbet. Looked tempting and tasted even better.
2) Custard pie - This was basically croissant with custard filling and dusted with icing sugar. Crisp and nice with velvety filling of custard. Tasted good too, not as sweet as I have had at other places.
If you are looking for desserts that are little less on the sweet side then would recommend it to all.
Tucked away in DIFC Yamanote is a Japanese cafe that serves a variety of dishes- salads, pastas, desserts, etc. The ambience is vibrant and the staff are really friendly & patient.
Came here for lunch with a bunch of friends. I had the Prawn Pasta; penne pasta with de shelled prawns topped with shredded cheese in arabitatta sauce. I'm not a prawn lover but this pasta was an exception, the pasta was cooked perfectly and was crispy. Can be shared by 2 people
For the desserts we ordered a bunch of sweet buns and the famous Japanese cheese cake with whipped cream.
I had a Panda Sweet Bun filled with lotus bean cream, ironically the bun wasn't too sweet and the generous lotus bean cream was delicious. The bun looked super cute and was hard to just gorge into it! The cafe and the food is Instagram worthy! (Additional points for that).
It's not too expensive either and the quantity definitely does justice for the price.
Rating: 4.5/5
I've been privileged enough to try Yamanote at various branches: their Wasl Square, Al Ghurair, DIFC & Dubai Mall ones.
Thankfully the taste & flavor is consistent across the board. Super cute designs just further enhance the taste - even the savory items are delicious.
A definite recommendation!
Visited for lunch, had salmon salad and a sandwich
Both were very good
Price is very reasonable for the quantity and quality
Service was fast
Will visit again
So this place was a friends suggestion for a late afternoon coffee.
A good word came in with the suggestion, praising the rose croissant.
I found the place very quiet. Well it was Saturday afternoon so the buzz was missing.
The spread on display was quite wide. A traditional pick of Japanese bakery items.
I tried the Croque Monsieur, Rahash, Matcha Cream Cheese Bun, Iced Yamanote Matcha Latte and the Softy Ice Cream blend.
Croque Monsieur - White toast, turkey ham and cheddar cheese with white sauce. The bread was slightly sour and went well with the white sauce. Turkey ham was good quality. Tasted well however the crunch of the toast was missing.
Matcha Cream Cheese Bun - An interesting one. Slicing the bun in half and you can see the croissant swirl. Matcha (Japanese Green tea) cream paste filling and sweetened with a tad of honey. Full score of the taste front here. Again, a little warm would do good.
Rahash - Sweetened croissant dough. Nothing special, the description on display had a spelling mistake though.
Iced Yamanote Matcha Latte - Japanese green tea on the base of the iced latte. If you have a sip of the different layers (without mixing the drink) you can taste the individual elements. But once the drink is stirred the concoction turns into a an interesting combination.
Softy ice-cream blend - Nice and refreshing. Chocolate was not too sweet. The cone was slightly thing though.
The staff is friendly, albeit needs a little bit of coaching. The ice-cream had skipped my bill in the end, and when I got it corrected the amount was incorrect.
I'd definitely visit again, but I hope they get some of their house keeping in order.
First thing that fascinates me about this place is the decor and the choose of colors used to decorate this place. The pace itself makes me feel very positive and lively.
Food - Amazing Bakes and Dessert
Salmon Sashimi Salad was quite delicious and ingredients so fresh like they just out of the farms.
Quinoa and betroot Salad also was yummy
Ordered the Seafood Pasta - delicious but was a bit dry for my choice
creme bun was amazing
We also tried the raspberry dessert was good.
Hoping to visit this place soon
I love this Japanese concept in Dubai - very clean cut and lovely. The matcha espresso latte is delicious!! Had a little pastry and it was nice too, overall I enjoyed my time here.
Kitty Nutella and Crunchy Chocolate Mario 😻
Haven't tried these cute buns yet?! This cute Japanese bakery sells the best Japanese cheesecake in town along with classic European pastries. The options are endless. Completely nutty satisfaction with homemade fillings made with love. They serve both savoury and sweet items. Yamanote developed the fusion between western baking techniques and Japanese ingredients! Must indulge in these super cute buns and croissants. You'll definitely rush back for more. Best part is you can order online aswell ✔️✔️
When in DIFC, go to Japan
My go to place in the DIFC for a quick cup of coffee, a morning meal or a delicious salad.
I love everything about Yamanote, a japanese bakery with three outlets about town. I have tried most of the items from the menu be it their delectable soft cheesecakes which is more like a mousse than a cheesecake, their custard rolls -flakey croissant type bread filled with the most sweetest mixture, delicious coffee buns filled with creme. I also love their Lotus filled buns which is perfect for my 2 year old. Their salads and soups are also delicious. One of my favourite salads there is the seared tuna salad which looks like a deconstructed sushi roll. All in all, a perfect cafe! Have you been here yet?
I recently purchased a few products from Yamanote from the beach canteen during the Dubai food fest. The soufflé cheesecakes are one of the best I have tasted and they are the perfect portion size. It's soft and light and absolutely delicious! I also enjoyed the Nutella hello kitty bun. All of their baked good were fresh and Instagram worthy! I will definitely be buying a lot more of those cheesecakes and I can't wait to try the chocolate version! They are not badly priced as well for 58 dhs for 5 mini cheesecakes , it's well worth the calories and price!
I walk past this cute little place everyday and resist the urge to indulge in the carbs, but when I do give in it is totally worth it. The Pikachu chocolate bun is to die for and the smell drives my cats crazy (but they can't have any obviously). The French toast with honey was really yummy as well.
I tried Yamanote Atelier when it first opened in All Saga. Working in DIFC, I'm glad it found its way there!! Excellent patisserie, the types of which aren't available in other cafés of DIFC and some great coffee varieties as well!! My favorite is the Matcha Croissant, a croissant with red bean fillings and Matcha on the top.. Their Cream cheese Danish pastry, Japanese Cheesecake and chiffon cakes are fantastic. The Best sellers in drinks are the Iced Matcha Latte and the Iced Yamanote Latte (which is Iced Latte with some matcha syrup at the bottom). Sandwiches and rolls are well priced and worth trying. Simply a place that must be visited!!
Reasonably priced yet always great tasting! The staff is friendly though the service is a bit slow at times. I enjoy both takeaway as well as dining in here! They have great options for breakfast as well as lunch and everything is well presented on the plate.
Yamanote Atelier is a Japanese inspired bakery, famous for its quirky hand-crafted buns, croissants, rolls and deserts. This DIFC branch is also a café, serving soup, salad, and pasta in addition to an amazing array of sandwiches, stuffed croissants and pizzas. A must-try if you are in the area.
Waste NOT. Want NOT.
A really nice Japanese cafe serving delicious sandwiches, bakes and pastries. I just had coffee with a sandwich and was really impressed. Am
definitely heading back for more !!

Yamanote Atelier is a Japanese themed cafe. With matcha inspired food and drinks, this is my comfort place. Clean fit out and attentive service (good management). I recommend their salads and their matcha drinks...very much worth it.
As always Yamanote is never disappointing. Their quality is consistent and you'll always be able to enjoy your favorite bakery inspired by the ones made in Japan. Cute but also really tasty, try many of them and cannot decide which one is my favorite. The salty options are good too if you want a quick snack.
Very high quality food, excellent choices presented impeccably and at a very competitive pricing point. Highly recommended for breakfast and lunch
There are plenty of delicious reasons to eat at Yamanote Atelier. For me though, there's a particular reason. And it's called the Yamanote Croissant. It's got the most gorgeous flaky, buttery pastry crust and is topped with custard and a square of Kiri cheese. It's perfection. We also had the Japanese cheesecake which was fluffy and smooth, a mincemeat bun that tasted Indian, the matcha latte which I recommend, and peach ice tea.
This is a really cute place! First thing you'll notice here is their array of tempting baked goodies on display and the friendly and warm staff greeting you with smiles all the way.
There are flavored croissants, breads, sweet buns filled with chocolate, custard, etc. all of which are beautiful to look at and wonderful to eat! So take your pick from any of them and you won't regret it.
Apart from this, they have delicious soft serve ice creams as well- chocolate, Hokkaido milk and my favorite, a mixture of the two... it's a real treat that shouldn't be missed.
They also have breakfast options like eggs, pancakes, granola and muesli.
I've tried the Japanese pancakes which are oh so soft and fluffy you just want to put your face into it! Be warned though, they're really filling.
They serve lunch as well such sandwiches and salads and I can't wait to try them.
Happiness is the smell of a bakery.
Whether it’s the pastel colors in the outlet, the Kitty shaped Nutella dough, the friendly service and the smell of freshly baked deserts, Yamanote Atelier is one of my favorite places in Dubai.
It has currently 3 outlets in Dubai: Dubai Mall, Al Wasl rd. and the newly opened DIFC branch.
I had the chance to visit 2 out of 3 where I noticed the friendly service, attractive interior design and display of food items.
The concept is a buffet of freshly baked goods from Japan. It’s like shopping in a bakery. You grab a tray, a plate, and choose whatever you want.
The display indeed, is one of the yummiest I’ve ever seen. All freshly baked, crusty and shiny.
They even have a retail section in which they sell branded items such as Yamanote tea, boxes of crepe roll, gaufrettes, crunchy chocolates.
What not to miss while visiting Yamanote Atelier is the Yamanote Croissant, Chocolate Raspberry Almond Croissant and the Egg Benedict Cube.
I will definitely be visiting this place next time I’m in Dubai.

Clean and neat Japanese cafe offering wide varieties of Japanese pastries . Green tea drinks and other Japanese drinks too , they do have mini savory bites too . Cute bakery with good service
Im purely rating it 5 for the only one dessert I have tried here which is the Yamanote croissant ,heavenly rich and it was comfort food that just makes one happy and satisfied .
A friend of mine had taken me here , the place is also decorated in bright colors .
I wild def def recommend the Yamanote croissant .
Not really sure what to write about this place. I think one needs to go out and try this without fail. Working in DIFC and walking around everyday.. I always wondered why there is so much rush at this newly opened place.. now I realized after dining there yesterday. It's all about TASTE TASTE AND TASTE. And that's what we look for. Being a vegetarian I thought there may not not much options. But this Japanese bakery brings a blend of sandwiches.. salads. Hot pots (which I tried) and pastas. Their coffees and deserts are to die for. Specially the touch of green tea in Italian coffee and even in desert (I tried cheesecake and green tea pastry ) is top of the class. I have no reason not to give them 5 but since they need to organize a little more in handling the crowd and table management.. they do deserve 5. Way to go guys !!! Keep up the taste.
Cute bakery located in DIFC's no5 building.
Parking for this bakery is only via valet which is 20dhs/hr, however, if you work around here, this may be a perfect place to grab a quick bite or host a small one-on-one meeting in.
I tried a couple of their pastries. Some I loved, others were OK. My definit favorite was the Pikachu one. Not only was it super cute to look at, but it also tasted very good! It was by far the most moist when cutting into, and the Nutella stuffing was just perfection! Loved it!
I tried a couple of their cold drinks too. All rather delicious.
The one thing I truly love about Yamanote Altier is their chic interiors. Super simple yet elegant use of marble and wood makes the place as welcoming as can be. I can sit here for hours without noticing the time fly by.
Overall, lovely place for a quick bite and/or drink. Would recommend it to anyone who works in the area.
Great food, service and value for money. Came for breakfast this morning and order the scrabbled egg with salmon. The food was perfectly cooked with little waiting time. The coffee was also on point.
Definitely plan to revisit.
A colleague at work recently surprised us with Yamanote Atelier goodies and I managed to get my hands on the Yamanote rose croissant. It's so eye catching, and so simple yet so tempting! I've been brought up in Europe eating the purest croissants, but I have to say that this is by far one of the best croissants I've ever had. Taking a bite into this leads to an amazing explosion of strawberry, pistachio, rose water and sugar in your mouth - delicious! Goes really well with a sugarless cappuccino, and is sure to have you coming back for more!
I always wondered why it took so long to have some Japanese bakeries over here in Dubai. But recently i have seen more than opening doors. The first one i decided to try was @yamanoteatelier @difc due to proximity to my work :)
Yamanote is what u expect in a japanese bakery ,clean, fresh and soothing design and colors. Lovely display and great selection of sinful goodies.
I only tried the curry beef doughnut and it was a bit heavy but good :)
Its a fresh change and would recommend you try the place :)
Alert: I'm a bread lover! So my review is bound to be biased 😜 Stumbled upon this place in Dubai Mall. Has a wide variety of bread filled selection and desserts to choose from. A bit pricey but worth the high tea experience.
Really cute Japanese cafe. Loved the service! Everyone were so friendly and attentive. Great mocha latte and lovely freshly baked pastries . They even gave us a few for free to try:) the sandwiches were good. Inexpensive and great place for lunch!
What a wonderful addition to the DIFC!
They have a wide selection of baked goods and I can safely say that I liked everything I tried. They also have some salads and sandwiches. I asked to toast the chicken sandwich I was having, but all I got was a mildly microwaved one. My personal preference goes to warm sandwiches only.
The coffees are really good. I recommend the mocha and the cappuccino. Now for the best part, all coffees come with a sample of their house biscuits. These were the highlight of my entire work day in the DIFC! I highly recommend gifting a box of those. Very very refined and delicious.
